Teachers comments
1. Hot Fuzz/Pulp Fiction/Dark Knight Rises – some very good analysis with
confident use of technical language showing at times good
understanding of task. Good detail to show how narrative/characters are
introduced. Always analyse, some parts drift into description. Plus you
need to analyse all the technical elements, Mise-en-scene and sound
barely gets a mention in Pulp Fiction
2. Great detail on genre, with sub-genres identified. Presentation is good
with images added. Detail on history is good with sine detail on how
changes in society reflect changes in genre. Box office analysis used to
show popularity. A nice post has been added to show common
conventions used in the genre.
3. Missing - some very nice detail on TA with info on how audience will be
engaged. Would have benefitted from actual evidence of research into
TA for genre.
4. A good opening to the genre script introducing characters and narrative –
please reformat dialogue.
5. Missing – drawings are crude but lots of key information added on shot
type and movement
6. Good detail on shots with info on camera, location and cast
7. Rushed and hard to understand - please redo - work has been reposted
with lots of good info.
8. Good images of locations to be used, good detail as to why they were
chosen and suitability for narrative.
9. Nice detail on costumes and how they link to characters and narrative
10.Good detail on props and how they link to characters and narrative – but
why video tape? Why not a USB stick? You need to explain why? Some
explanation added.
11.Nice detail on actors and how they link to characters and narrative – add
images – images now added.

2. 12.Missing– now added with some detail but not specific enough – what
camera are you using?
13.Missing – now added with good detail on all parts of production.
This is a good piece of work. Your blog is well organised with posts clearly
labelled. But too much is missing from your work.

Student action plan for improvement
The following things have been improved that can be marked:
Production schedule, Target audience, equipment and storyboard have been
added.
The script’s dialogue has been reformatted in order to match with the rest of the
script.
The reason why I have used a videotape instead of a USB stick in the props has
been explained.
The layout has been redone in order to appear less rushed and is easier to
understand.
The images for the actors has been added, as well as changing two of the
actors due to two of them being unable to do the film.
