Teachers comments
1. 3 excellent analyses of film openings Mars Attacks, Star Trek Beyond
and Hot Fuzz. Fantastic and confident use of technical language
throughout. You could add how you will use these openings to help you
with your product.
2. Good research on the history of the genre presented well using
powerpoint. You could key actors and directors for the genre.
3. Good research on target audience. Good use of NRS scale to categorise
your audience. You could include an image of a typical 15-25 year old
who you feel embodies your audience. Image now added of typical
audience member.
4. Excellent script, ambitious and exciting. Looking forward to seeing how it
plays out. Please spell check your final draft. Script now spell checked
and re-uploaded.
5. Clear evidence of drafting of ideas throughout.
6. An excellent set of clear storyboards showing your vision well. Some of
the writing is quite hard to read, you may need to go over with a pen and
re-scan.
7. A fantastic shot list, well done. Clear, precise and shows your vision.
8. Basic but clear floor plans of main locations, please add what scenes
these refer to. Scenes and locations now added to make plans clearer.
9. Location choices explained well with good clear photographs. As your
sets will be CG, you could include a rough sketch or image of what you
are aiming for in your set designs.
10.Costume choices explained well with images
11.Prop choices explained well with images
12.Actor choices explained well, you could add images/headshot of your
main characters to show their suitability for the roles.
2. 13.Equipment is detailed briefly in the production schedule. You could do
this as a separate post with more detail. Equipment now detailed as
separate post, good use of images.
14.A comprehensive production schedule detailing all stages of production
well. You could add the evaluation stage to complete the years work.
Evaluation stage now added, although briefly.
Overall this is an excellent body of work, well done Ally. Excellent use of
technology throughout. Your blog is well organised with good use of labels. This
is an ambitious project which I am keen to see how it turns out.
Please see feedback above to make final improvements.
Preliminary tasks all completed and blogged – well done
