Teachers comments
1. Hot Fuzz/Sixth Sense/Rear Window – some good analysis with confident
use of technical language showing at times good understanding of task.
Good detail to show how narrative/characters are introduced. Always
analyse, some parts drift into description. You need to get director names
correct – M. Night Shyamalan. In Rear Window it is the use of the
familiar, which gives the scene its tension – the murder will occur in an
average street just like the one the audience live on.
2. Some nice detail on genre, with sub-genres identified. Presentation is
good with images added. Detail on history is good but no detail on how
changes in society reflect changes in genre. Box office analysis used to
show popularity. A nice post has been added to show common
conventions in used in genre. Please read your work, you describe films
but don’t give titles (Capricorn One).
3. Some detail on target audience added to genre post. While some detail is
based on stereotype, there is evidence of primary research into
audience. Add detail on other interests – films, tv, games etch. Difficult to
read the box office figures.
4. A very effective opening to the script introducing characters and narrative
– please reformat dialogue.
5. Very good storyboard and presentation. Good technical detail throughout
and variety of shots. Well done. Repost as it is very hard to read – you
don’t need to use SlideShare for images.
6. Good detail on shots with lots of info on camera, location, sound and
description.
7. Drawing added to show camera but it is slightly confusing – where is the
camera? Where are your actors? Please add
8. Good images of locations to be used, great detail as to why they were
chosen and suitability for narrative.
9. Nice detail on costumes and how they link to characters and narrative
2. 10.Nice detail on props and how they link to characters and narrative
11.Nice detail on actors and how they link to characters and narrative
12.Missing
13.Brief detail on production schedule but all parts of production noted

labelled.
To get higher mark you need improvements - please see feedback above.
