1. Similar Products – film beginning analysis
Text is too descriptive with little analysis of why decisions
have been made. Good use of terminology (camera shots)
with some detail on how technical elements – mise-en-scene,
editing, cinematography and sound – have been used to
create meaning, introduce genre/narrative/characters.

Some attempt to analyse genre with good use of Propp to
identify archetypes in the Matrix. But post lacks good detail on
history for such an important genre. From 1920s to 1960s in
one sentence. No mention of the input of the 80s action
movie, arguably the most important – no Stallone, Willis or
Schwarzenegger!!! No images or key films/actors/directors!
