Equipment for film

In the table below, you will see the following equipment which I will be using in my film, as
well as the reasons why.
Equipment Why I will be using it
Camera I will be using the camera in my film to be
able to filmmy film, as it will allow me to
complete all of my shots, as well as having
another camera similar to the filming
camera to be able to take the photos seen
at the beginning of the film of the victim.
Tripod I will be using a tripod in my filmfor certain
scenes which require fast movement, as
the tripod will be able to hold the camera in
place, ensuring that the footage that is
shown to my audience is not too shaky and
thus off-putting for my audience
Videotape The reason why I will be using the
videotape is because it is a big part of the
overarching mystery of the film, and holds
the clue to the big twist as it suggests that
the big event of the film took place several
years before, thus meaning that a USB stick
will not be needed in the film.
Notepad The notepad will be used to show the
detectives intelligence and dedication to
the mystery, as it shows that he is someone
who prepares for every scenario and makes
sure that every detail is considered showing
his obsession towards crime. It also is
another clue towards the mystery as the
notepad is vital towards the big twist of the
film as well.

Walkie Talkie This is used in a similar manner to
the notepad as it is another way for
Michael to take down notes
towards the overall crime, while
being less of a big part towards the
overall mystery.
Plastic Gun I will be using the plastic gun in my
film as a real gun, with the use of
after effects helping it to appear
more realistic, with this gun being a
McGuffin as it appears to hold the
answer towards the overall mystery,
before being revealed to have less
of an important role.
Adobe Premiere Pro I will be using Premiere Pro to be
able to upload and edit the footage
to complete my film. The reason
why I am using Premiere Pro
instead of Windows Movie Maker is
because it is a better way of
completing the film, as it offers
better editing techniques and
makes the footage look far better
than on Movie Maker.
Adobe After Effects I will be using After Effects to be
able to add in effects to the film, to
make it look more like a movie seen
in the cinema, as well as helping
with the editing of the film. As well
as this, I will be using this to help
make the plastic gun I will use in the
film appear to be more like a proper
gun to help with the realism of the
film.
