This document provides feedback from a teacher to a student, Hugh Galloway, on a pre-production tasks assignment. The teacher confirms Hugh completed all required pre-production elements and provided detailed work for many of the tasks. Some areas still needed more detail, such as the production schedule and how equipment would be used. With additions, Hugh's work improved to Level 3 quality. Further additions referring to relevant film theory earned Hugh a Level 4 rating and final mark of 17 out of 20.

1. Please put your example videos back in your performance, narrative and
conceptual definitions so that post makes sense.This has now been
added. Very good analysis of the Frank Turner video. You have used
Goodwin’s theories well.
2. Good genre analysis, please add example videos to the part where you
say you have and spell check your prezi. Your digipak research/analysis
is good and contains some great observations. It might be an idea to type
up your comments to make it easier to read.This has now been done.
3. Great avatar. Your target audience needs to be clearly identified as
‘males aged ?’. Your 4th
point needs re-wording. Perhaps ‘We might
assume’ at the front of the sentence. Done.
4. Annotated lyrics now added and show good ideas. You may wish to type
these up to make some points clearer.This has now been done.
5. Evidence of idea drafting on blog
6. Storyboards now added. Remember being a good drawer does not
matter as long as you are conveying your vision.
7. Very detailed shot lust well done
8. Floor plans have been added. You could add more detailed scene by
scene plans detailing where your actors will stand and where you will
position the camera. This has now been added.
9. Great location photos, love the end photos with the sun shining through
the trees. If you can achieve this will be very effective.

2. detailing when you will use the tripod and why and how you will achieve
your out of focus shots.This has now been added.

costumes, props, actors etc.production schedule now updated.
Good addition of the production roles and risk assessment. Most of this work is
very detailed Hugh but it is incomplete so can only be Level 1 until all
outstanding work has been added.
All pre-production work has now been added to your blog well done.You have
typed up your notes well to make them easier to read. Your production schedule
is still not quite finished. You do not need to include preliminary work and your
filming part needs to be much more detailed. At the filming and editing stage
you should be detailing day by day or lesson by lesson what you are doing. To
get this into level 4 you need to refer your ideas to theory. Will you apply

Good addition of referring Goodwin’s work to how you will apply this in your
video. Watch out for a few spelling mistakes in these posts.
