Teachers comments
1. 3 excellent analyses of film openings Die Hard, Mission Impossible and
Hot Fuzz. Fantastic and confident use of technical language throughout.
2. Comprehensive history of the genre presented well using powerpoint.
Please check that all your hyperlinks work.
3. Good research on target audience. Good use of NRS scale and avatar
creator to show stereotypical audience member.
4. Excellent script, builds tension well. However, it needs some formatting
tweaks, please centralise dialogue and remember to state where you are
at the start of each scene. Script now added in the appropriate format.
5. Clear evidence of drafting of ideas throughout.
6. A good set of storyboards, they could be split up more. Remember that it
is one shot per box, you can show movement using arrows and if you are
saying the shot is a close up, the image should match that, or draw a box
around what will be zoomed in on.
7. A fantastic shot list, well done. Clear, precise and shows your vision.
8. Excellent clear floor plans of main locations
9. Location choices explained excellently with good clear photographs
10.Costume choices explained well, you could add images. Some images
now added.
11.Prop choices explained basically, you could add reasons for choices and
images. Some reasons behind choices now added.
12.Actor choices explained well, you could add images to show their
suitability. Actor images now added.
13.Equipment is detailed briefly in the production schedule. You could do
this as a separate post with more detail. Equipment mentioned in post
with actors, props and costumes. You could be more specific – what
camera will you use and why.
2. 14.A comprehensive production schedule detailing all stages of production
well.
Overall this is a very proficient body of work, well done Oli. Good use of
technology throughout. Your blog is well organised with good use of labels.
This could be level 4 if you made improvements to your script and costume,
props and actor choices. Please see feedback above.
Preliminary tasks all completed and blogged – well done
All work now improved and uploaded. This is low level 4, well done.

Student action plan for improvement
I have improved my script formatting and layout so it looks more like a script.
I have also added images to my costumes, props and equipment so you know
what the equipment and props look like.
I added photos of the actors as well as the props that I will use in my film
opening.
