Class description:
There are twenty-five students in this group between 10 and 11 years-old. They have
English classes twice a week, for 40 minutes on Wednesdays and 35 minutes on Fridays.
They have started studying English in 5th
year. They come to classes after the break both
times, usually with lots of energy but when they are assigned tasks they calm down and
work effectively.
Main aim:
By the end of the lesson the students will be able to talk and write about their personal
information and answer wh-questions.
Subsidiary aim:
1. Revise the verb “to be” as well as the verbs in the present simple form.
2. Revise some vocabulary.

I expect to create a rapport with the students and that they understand me when I explain
the topic.
Timetable fit:
In the last lessons, the students have been working on personal information about both
themselves and a classmate.
Materials:
1. Board and board markers and chalk.
2. Photocopies in which they will have a text.
3. Construction paper for the flashcards and the game.
Anticipated problems:
1. If some students do not come to the lesson, there will be an odd number for the
“wheel”.
2. A noisy environment which may make this difficult for us to be listened to.
3. A student who becomes shy when having to speak aloud.
Possible solutions:
1. My partner will take part in the “wheel” if necessary.
2. I will do my best to speak louder and clearer.
3. We will be next to them so as to encourage them to speak.

Practice II: Didactics of ELT and practicum at primary school level Third lesson plan Baldomé, Daiana; Huivan, Sabina Lesson plan: PERSONAL INFORMATION School: Remedios de Escalada Nº2 Teacher in charge: Victoria García: Coordinator: Estela Braun and Liliana Monserrat Trainee: Daiana Baldomé Class: Nº3-4 Course: Sixth year Level: Elementary Length: 35 minutes Date: 28th , August Class description: There are twenty-five students in this group between 10 and 11 years-old. They have English classes twice a week, for 40 minutes on Wednesdays and 35 minutes on Fridays. They have started studying English in 5th year. They come to classes after the break both times, usually with lots of energy but when they are assigned tasks they calm down and work effectively. Main aim: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to talk and write about their personal information and answer wh-questions. Subsidiary aim: 1. Revise the verb “to be” as well as the verbs in the present simple form. 2. Revise some vocabulary. Personal aims:

Timetable fit: In the last lessons, the students have been working on personal information about both themselves and a classmate. Materials: 1. Board and board markers and chalk. 2. Photocopies in which they will have a text. 3. Construction paper for the flashcards and the game. Anticipated problems: 1. If some students do not come to the lesson, there will be an odd number for the “wheel”. 2. A noisy environment which may make this difficult for us to be listened to. 3. A student who becomes shy when having to speak aloud. Possible solutions: 1. My partner will take part in the “wheel” if necessary. 2. I will do my best to speak louder and clearer. 3. We will be next to them so as to encourage them to speak. Procedures: Stage/stage aim Description Interaction Timing Warm-up/Have the students discover the theme of the unit (personal information) 1. I will ask the students questions for them to answer according to what they had written about the data of their partners when doing the interview the class before. How old is s/he? They will be presented a text in which they will have to choose the correct form. T-SS 10 mins. Follow-up: speaking/ Have the students use the grammatical structures of wh- questions with their corresponding answers. 1. We will bring the same questions they have been working with written in little pieces of paper. The students will have to pick one and answer the question. They will be provided with the grammatical structure of the answers that are written in the flashcards. T-SS 15 mins.
