CLASS DESCRIPTION:​ ​There are twenty-three students in each course (4​th​
D and
4​th​
C), all between nine and ten years old. They have English classes once a week,
each class lasts forty minutes. This group of students work actively and they and her
teacher avoid speaking in L1. Their proficiency level is Pre-A1.
SKILLS TO BE EMPHASIZED:​ ​Listening, reading, writing and speaking.
LANGUAGE:
-O’clock times
-Events of the day: dinner, lunch,etc.
- Vocabulary about healthy and unhealthy food as well as eating groups (nutritional
oval).
-Different types of food
- Structures:
● It’s ​​an orange. ​It’s ​​healthy.
● It’s​​ twelve o’clock.
● It’s​​ ​time for​​ dinner.

AIMS:
Through the test, students will show if they have understood and learnt the topics
taught during the classes (all the vocabulary and the structures).
MATERIALS:
● Nutritional oval’s model
● Posters
● Board
● Marker
● The handmade clock
● Flashcards
EVALUATION​: ​​We expect that students comprehend reading activities and show
that they have learnt and understood how to differentiate healthy from unhealthy
food after learning the nutritional oval and vocabulary expected, vocabulary about
food, the time, events of the day, eating groups and structures taught through the
use of visual aids, gestures and making a wise use of L1 and L2.

We’re going to show
students flashcards about
the weather. Then we will
write on the board the date
and the weather.

Instructions We will give them the test
and explain every single
activity. All prepared
materials will be stuck on
the board as a guide. If
they have doubts, we will
explain again the activities
but we will not tell them the
answers.

Production
Students will solve the test.
For fast finishers, we will
prepare an extra activity.
Students will draw and
colour their favourite pizza
(we will hand them in a
chart with some ingredients
that a pizza can have) and
the following class they will
show their productions.
Those who could not solve
it in class will solve it as
homework.

DATE​:​ Wednesday, October 7​th. 4​th ​ C from 16:10 to 16:50, and 4​th ​ D from 16:50 to 17:30. CLASS:​ ​Fourth Grade LENGTH OF THE LESSON​:​ ​40 MINUTES. CLASS DESCRIPTION:​ ​There are twenty-three students in each course (4​th​ D and 4​th​ C), all between nine and ten years old. They have English classes once a week, each class lasts forty minutes. This group of students work actively and they and her teacher avoid speaking in L1. Their proficiency level is Pre-A1. SKILLS TO BE EMPHASIZED:​ ​Listening, reading, writing and speaking. LANGUAGE: -O’clock times -Events of the day: dinner, lunch,etc. - Vocabulary about healthy and unhealthy food as well as eating groups (nutritional oval). -Different types of food - Structures: ● It’s ​​an orange. ​It’s ​​healthy. ● It’s​​ twelve o’clock. ● It’s​​ ​time for​​ dinner. ● I ​like​​ oranges. I ​don’t like ​​sweets. ​Do​​ you ​like​​ bananas? ​Yes, I do/No, I don’t AIMS: Through the test, students will show if they have understood and learnt the topics taught during the classes (all the vocabulary and the structures).   • 2. ● Nutritional oval’s model ● Posters ● Board ● Marker ● The handmade clock ● Flashcards EVALUATION​: ​​We expect that students comprehend reading activities and show that they have learnt and understood how to differentiate healthy from unhealthy food after learning the nutritional oval and vocabulary expected, vocabulary about food, the time, events of the day, eating groups and structures taught through the use of visual aids, gestures and making a wise use of L1 and L2. Procedures Stage/stage aim Description Interaction Timing Warm-up We’re going to start the class singing: Clap your hands, stamp your feet, it’s time to say Hello, Hello! “If you are happy” “Today is Wednesday, how are you?” We’re going to show students flashcards about the weather. Then we will write on the board the date and the weather. Ts–Ss 5 minutes
  • 3. Instructions We will give them the test and explain every single activity. All prepared materials will be stuck on the board as a guide. If they have doubts, we will explain again the activities but we will not tell them the answers. Ts 5 min Production Students will solve the test. For fast finishers, we will prepare an extra activity. Students will draw and colour their favourite pizza (we will hand them in a chart with some ingredients that a pizza can have) and the following class they will show their productions. Those who could not solve it in class will solve it as homework. Ss 30 min.
