Description of the group: Beginning level of English language proficiency.
State primary school. There are fifteen students in the class (10 girls and 5
boys). Students’ age: 11-12 years old. They have English lessons twice a
week on Mondays and Wednesdays, each lesson lasts 40 minutes. Both
days, their English lessons take place during the last module so they are
usually tired and distracted because they want to go home, and sometimes
they have Physical Education before the lesson which makes them even more
tired.
Lesson 5: Closing Unit 2: revision of colours, school supplies and
prepositions
Time 40 minutes
Objectives Revision of prepositions, school supplies and colours, identify
quantity, revise colours and numbers, express existence, to
practice listening, speaking, reading and writing macro-skills,
follow instructions.
Structures There is a pencil on the table.
There are three books on the table.
Where is the pen? The pen is in the school bag.
Where is the dog? It is under the table.
Target
Vocabulary
School supplies, numbers, colours, prepositions.
Materials:
● Photocopies for activity 1 and 2
● Smart TV
● Notebook
Warm up (5 minutes)
As students always do, we’ll start the lesson by singing the routine song “Hello,
welcome friends!” Then I’ll ask them: “What day is today?” and when students
have answered I’ll write the date on the board.

Students will match the numbers with its correspondent item
as it is indicated in the picture.
We’ll do a brief revision of prepositions and then I’ll explain
the use of There is/There are with an example from the
activity; they’ll have to complete using IS or ARE accordingly.

activities all together and I’ll be asking for volunteers to
write/choose the answers on the computer.

second, choose there is/there are and in the last one, they’ll

quiz asking about where is the dog in the picture and in the
second one, they have to match the pictures with the
prepositions.

Castagneto lesson plan 7 - october 25th

  • 1. Practice II, Didactics of ELT and Practicum Primary School level. Adjunto Regular a/c Prof. Estela Braun (2021). Trainee: Castagneto, Luján Escuela N° 240 - Presidente Perón Date: October 25th , 2021 Course: 6th Description of the group: Beginning level of English language proficiency. State primary school. There are fifteen students in the class (10 girls and 5 boys). Students’ age: 11-12 years old. They have English lessons twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, each lesson lasts 40 minutes. Both days, their English lessons take place during the last module so they are usually tired and distracted because they want to go home, and sometimes they have Physical Education before the lesson which makes them even more tired. Lesson 5: Closing Unit 2: revision of colours, school supplies and prepositions Time 40 minutes Objectives Revision of prepositions, school supplies and colours, identify
  • 2. quantity, revise colours and numbers, express existence, to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing macro-skills, follow instructions. Structures There is a pencil on the table. There are three books on the table. Where is the pen? The pen is in the school bag. Where is the dog? It is under the table. Target Vocabulary School supplies, numbers, colours, prepositions. Materials: ● Photocopies for activity 1 and 2 ● Smart TV ● Notebook Warm up (5 minutes) As students always do, we’ll start the lesson by singing the routine song “Hello, welcome friends!” Then I’ll ask them: “What day is today?” and when students have answered I’ll write the date on the board.
  • 3. Procedure Activity 1 Read and Number Complete with IS/ARE (10 minutes) Students will match the numbers with its correspondent item as it is indicated in the picture. We’ll do a brief revision of prepositions and then I’ll explain the use of There is/There are with an example from the activity; they’ll have to complete using IS or ARE accordingly.
  • 4. Activity 2 a- Look, read and write in, on, under. b- Read and match (5 minutes) Students will have to complete with the corresponding prepositions. Activity 3 Complete with IS/ARE - Choose there is/there are Listen and choose TRUE or We’ll be working with the computer connected to the smart TV so all students can see the activities. We’ll do the activities all together and I’ll be asking for volunteers to write/choose the answers on the computer. In the first activity, they’ll have to complete with is/are, in the second, choose there is/there are and in the last one, they’ll
