2. Process
To make this I first started by taking the photos in the
white screen room. I then cut out the images and went
back around the outside with a small rubber to remove
light reflections and also extra white space. I picked the
background offline and then placed the image of us in
the suitable positions. The way I created the underwater
effect was by creating a layer around where the legs
were which faded in transparency so the background got
stronger as you look further down the legs. I then made a
new layer of the part of the body outside of water and
made it transparent and rotated it 180 degrees. I then
added warp effects to make it look distressed by the
water. After this I then added auto tone to the original
image. I then added a grey box to the top of the screen
and downloaded the fonts needed to create the text at
the top of the magazine. I thought that the front cover
looked quite plain so I decided to add a bit more text to
fill the open spaces. I found a fitting font and tried to
interoperate the font into the background for the names
which worked well. I then out a header at the front and
added a reflection to make it look more fitting. I also
decided to add a quote from another more mainstream
paper saying how good this magazine is. I then added a
sideways long barcode in the bottom left.
3. Process
To make this I first started by taking the photos in the
white screen room. I then cut out the images and went
back around the outside with a small rubber to remove
light reflections and also extra white space. I picked the
background offline and then cut out part of the clouds
from the bottom and duplicated and flipped it to create a
layer for the images of us to go behind. I made it look
more cloudlike by using a brush rubber that was slightly
transparent. I then placed us 3 in the image behind the
new layer and added auto tone to make them look more
suitable in this environment. I then placed a selected
layer around each one of the images of us and then
changed to the background layer and copied the
background in outlines of us. I enlarged them and placed
them slightly to the right of the original images. I then
created a symmetrical square and placed it in the top
right and picked a section of the background which
looked suitable to be stood on. I then put a cut out of the
bottom of my legs there and added a cut out of the
clouds and used the transparent rubber to make it look
more cloud like. I also decided the background looked
quite plain so I cut out perfect circles and some squares
and rectangles. This is how I achieved my finished
results.
4. Process
This page is supposed to look minimalistic but
it still took quite a while to make. I created all
of the badges from scratch by myself on
Photoshop. I decided to do this because it
looks more creative and better than if it were
just images of the logos. The Supreme logo
was quite tricky to think of how to adjust it so
I just rounded off the edges of each letter but
for all of the others I created each section of
the shapes with the shapes tool on
Photoshop, except for the text where I used
the text tool. For the writing I just started off
by creating a word document and typing what
I wanted to put on this page. I then copy and
pasted the text across and added an
alignment which made it look as if it were in a
perfect rectangle. I then went online to find a
suitable font and I downloaded it and applied
it to the text. This was my finished result.
5. ProcessTo make this I first started by taking the photos in the
white screen room. I then cut out the images and went
back around the outside with a small rubber to remove
light reflections and also extra white space. I picked the
background offline and then started to add the text. The
reason I added the text first was because I needed it to
be the main focus of the page so I thought I could work
around it and make it stand out more. I used the same
text as I used on the front cover to continue the theme
and it also suited this page. I then started to place us
into the page. I thought it would add more depth and
layers to the page if I created the text that over and
underlapped me. I achieved this by just rasterizing the
text and then cutting that part out and moving the layer
behind the one I was on. I then added an auto focus as I
did with all of these three people. I also added a shadow
and to get this I just copied the layer of the person it was
for and made it black with a color overlay, I then made it
transparent and used the transform and warp tool to
create a realistic looking shadow. When I added Oscar to
the image I thought the page looked flat so I decided to
place him behind a mushroom which I believe worked
well in the end. I also added his name just above perched
between two stalks as it was not on the front cover like
the rest.
6. Process
To make this I first started by taking the photos in the white screen room. I
then cut out the images and went back around the outside with a small
rubber to remove light reflections and also extra white space. I picked an
image of space offline and although it had a spaceman already in it the one
seen in the image was added. The one in the image I managed to rub out with
the clone stamp tool, the original astronaut was here. I then found an image
of the earth offline and cut that out and placed it in the lower middle of the
page to allow space for more images above. I then places in the photos of us
and used the perspective tool to make it look as if we were getting closer to
the camera. I also used the transform tool to change the size and the warp
tool to adjust the feet and legs. This is when I added the text. I found a font
which suited the style online and downloaded it and wrote “Fashion Warped”
which fits the theme of fashion. This was white at first but then I changed it to
this gradient to look similar to the product being endorsed and advertised on
this page. I then fount an image of an astronaut online and cut it out. I cut out
the face piece and copied a layer of it. I then added Oscars face behind it and
used the warp tool to make it look magnified by the helmet. I then applied the
layer of the helmet that I had copied and made it slightly transparent to that
you could still see Oscars face. After this I added the Champion and Patagonia
logos at the top of the screen which are the brands of the clothes on this
page. The X in the center of the two logos is used to signify that the two
brands are doing a collaboration or a crossover in styles. I added a gradient fill
to the X as I did with the fashion warped text. I then created a mock up of
what one of the hoodies would look like. To achieve this I got a regular
Patagonia hoodie and added the champion logo to it. I cut certain parts of the
logo out and changed them to the colors of the Patagonia logo to make it
loom more suitable. I then took a transparent airy brush to the Champion logo
to add a wrinkled effect. I then copied the Champion logo to the arm but
switched the colors round a bit. After this I added the grey text box the same
color as the one on the front cover and placed it at the bottom with the
hoodie half on and half off to help with a sense of perspective. I then used the
same font as I used on the other page with the text and wrote about what the
hoodie was made from and why this collaboration happened.
