2. Short Initial Ideas
Group of crocodiles in an all animal world who run a crime ring (1)
People trying to start a life on mars (2)
Group of monsters run a restaurant for other monsters (3)
Follows the journey of a good person who accidently got sent to hell (4)
3. Idea 1
The main story would be following this group of crocodiles as they commit or
attempt to commit crimes. As the world is all animals who live like humans
(similar to Zootopia for example) there is a lot of room for relatability and
jokes to be made. The key premise of each episode would be the ring trying
to commit a different crime every time and always getting stopped by the
police force (who would also be animals). Other show gimmicks could be them
trying to recruit new members or trying to awkwardly fit in to situations with
animals that would be filled with an animal that crocodiles regularly eat. An
example would be a group of buffaloes running a bar and the alligators
awkwardly enter as the buffaloes are scared etc. I think overall it could make
for quite a good series and there would be room for many different episode
plots. The series could be called “Crooked Crocs”, “Croc Crooks” or
“Crocodile Capers”.
4. Idea 2
Group of people get sent into space without reasoning by the government and
NASA. They then receive a message saying that they are to start there own
world and try to create a second earth. The people who have been sent up
are a farmer/butcher, an athlete/sportsman, a nurse/doctor, a scientist, a
builder and a door to door salesman. The show is focused on the door to door
salesman as it shows him trying to fit in to this group of people who all seem
to have a proper purpose to be sent to mars and he is trying to find out why
they sent him. The episodes will have segments where it shows you the past
life of the characters before they were sent to mars. Each episode will be the
city progressing in being built and the door to door salesman going off by
himself or with some of the other characters and trying to help out and trying
to search for his purpose along the way. Some segments could be space
creatures attacking, other people landing or space disasters such as meteors
etc. I think there could be room for jokes but also a relatable cast and main
character who people feel emotionally for as he's searching for his purpose.
The series could be called “Life on Mars” or “My New Earth”.
5. Idea 3
The show follows a group of monsters who are experienced and some
inexperienced chefs who start up their own restaurant and the villains would
be a band of food critics who have a personal vendetta against the manager
and want to shut it down. The main plot of each episode could be many
different things like picky special customers who come in and the monsters
have to go on a quest type thing to find the ingredients to feed them
correctly. Some episodes could be people applying for jobs at the restaurant
or people getting fired etc. Each monster would have outstanding
characteristics from each other and also backstory's that could be explored
throughout the series. The visual style could be very abstract and outgoing as
monsters aren’t real so it would take a lot of imagination, colour and shape
theory to create an interesting cast. Whereas there would be room for
emotional and more serious scenes I think this show would be more focused
on comedy and adventure elements. The series could be called “Monster
Chef”, “(Monsters name)s Restaurant” or “Creature Café”.
6. Idea 4
The main premise of the show would be a man or woman who dies and then
gets sent to hell even though they have been good there whole life.
Throughout the whole series they are trying to find ways to get to heaven but
encounters friends, demons, enemies and torture along the way. This would
make for a very interesting cast of characters ad there would be some
humans like out main character, some demons, souls and other undead
beings, but also angels and mythical creatures. The ending of the show can
either go two ways, she gets into heaven but decides she would rather stay in
hell because of the friends she has made and the impact she has had (by
making the devil and others better people), or she could gain access to
heaven but then it turns out she had done something bad when she was alive
and it was no mistake that she was in hell this whole time. The series could
be called “Hell”, “Dead Wrong” or “Good Girl/Boy”.
8. Character 1
Door To Door Salesman:
this character would be
male, wearing a suit
and be around the age
of 28-30. All the
characters would first
arrive in space suits
but then all get there
own clothes. He will
start off a bit cocky
and thinks his better
than everyone else
until he learns that
nobody needs his help
and his job is the most
useless. He then starts
to become more
emotional, mopey and
fed up. This character
will bond with all the
characters throughout
the show.
9. Character 2
Scientist: the scientist
would be a happy, small
old man with white
spiky hair (a little
stereotypical). His
personality would be
very happy and
optimistic, excitable but
also be able to feel
emotions such as loss
and sadness which wi9ll
be explained in his
backstory throughout
the show. He will wear a
lab coat, glasses and
many inventions he
creates throughout the
show. The scientist will
bond well with the
doctor and builder.
10. Character 3
Farmer and Butcher: this
character would be a 45-
50 year old man who will
wear jeans and a long
sleeved shirt. When he's
farming he will wear a
body warmer and when
he's butchering he will
wear an apron. This
character will have a
similar personality to
Jekyll and Hyde except
he wont be pure evil just
a little unsettling and
angry a the butcher, but
more optimistic and a
little happier as the
farmer. This character
will get on well with the
doctor and the athlete.
11. Character 4
Athlete: the athlete will be a
20-23 year old woman who
did shooting and running as
her sports. She will be quite
a nice character but can also
be stern and take role as
leader if needed. All of the
male characters have a crush
on her apart from the
scientist. She will wear
leggings and a tank top but
also have a camo jacket in
her wardrobe. She will be
good friends with the
farmer/butcher, the builder
and the doctor.
12. Character 5
Builder: this character will be a 34-36
year old man who is very down to earth
and easy to talk too. He will be the
funny one of the group who can dish out
comedic remarks about the others but
cannot take criticism very well. He will
be a little more on the dumb side but
still be self aware and not be a total
moron. He will wear a shirt, hi-vis and
jeans but his apparel will chance
weather he is building a house or a
mechanical object etc. He will be close
with the scientist and the athlete.
13. Character 6
Doctor: the Doctor will be a 30-35 year old woman
who will be a nice enough person although her main
characteristics will be stubbornness and being quite
self-centred. This character will think she is the
best out of the group and as she helps people who
fall ill or injured her head will just grow bigger
throughout the series, until someone knocks her
down a few pegs. Although its not her main
personality trait she can be a nurturing caring and
loving person as she is a doctor and likes taking
care of people. She also makes it clear to the other
characters that she is very well off. The doctor will
be close with the athlete, the farmer/butcher and
the scientist.
