2. Process
I first started out with a
simple Skyrim background,
this background the
consumer that this is to do
with Skyrim or to do with
something similar, it is also
a beautiful artistic piece
which suits the theme
nicely, it is also a good
standard background
which works well on a
magazine front cover, this
background was found on
Google Images by
searching ‘Skyrim
background’, once I had
this in photoshop I used
the transform tool to get it
to my A4 size which I
wanted.
3. Process
I then added a picture of
the dragonborn, this is a
common thing to do in
magazines, having a
character in a large size
right in the middle of the
page, this enforces that the
magazine is mainly about
Skyrim and makes people
who like Skyrim interested
in the magazine, then I also
added a banner to the top
of the page a red, yellow
and black theme, I added
the title of the magazine ‘PC
Daily’ at the top, I had to
use the rectangle tool to
make the banner at the top,
the red, yellow and black
part are all done using the
rectangle tool, the text was
added by using the text
tool, and it was all put
together by using the
selection tool.
4. Process
I then added multiple things to
the magazine to thicken it out
and add more detail to the
magazine inside, including the
bottom banner which has the
age rating and the barcode in,
two important things for a
magazine, I also added an
Elder Scrolls title across the
middle of the magazine cover,
this made sure people knew
this was a magazine about The
Elder Scrolls, I then also added
information about what is
inside the magazine as to tease
people with information of
what is to come for them, I
added all this together by
using the magic wand tool, the
polygon selection tool, the text
tool, the rectangle tool and the
transform tool, all of these
were key to making this poster
the final product that it is now.
5. Process
• I first started out by getting
an anime themed
background, this suited the
poster as I was doing a
Naruto themed poster, and
Naruto is an anime, and this
is also a nice background, a
grassy plain and a blue sky
fits right into Naruto, I got
this background from
google images by searching
‘Anime grass’ this was one
of the key components to
my poster so I needed to
get it right, once it was in
photoshop I used the
transform tool to get it to
the right size for my poster.
6. Process
I then added the main character
Naruto to the front of it, this is a
common theme in Naruto
posters as it’s showing the main
character off clearly and doesn’t
confuse anyone, behind Naruto I
added 3 characters which were
of importance to him and have
died, I lowered their opacity to
give the effect that they’re dead,
I then added the Naruto title to
the bottom of the screen, for
this I used the contrast tool, the
opacity tool, the magic wand
tool, the polygon selection tool
and the transform tool, all of
these were essential to making
this poster, the poster is a 24 x
36 inch poster.
7. Process
For this next poster I found
a dark night sky right a red
moon, also in an anime
theme this looked perfect
for a Sasuke poster as
Sasuke is evil in the Naruto
anime, I especially liked
the moon as it reminded
me of Sasuke’ special eye
which he has, to get this
background I used Google
Images and searched
‘Anime moon’ once I found
it I had to size it down to fit
to the 24 x 36 inch poster I
was doing, I used the
transform tool to do this
8. Process
I then added Sasuke at the bottom
of the poster, I used a tool to make
the light from the moon, to make it
look like Sasuke was in the same
picture originally, I then added
Sasukes special eye The ‘Sharingan’
over the top of the moon, this was a
perfect fit as the moon is red and so
is the eye, I loved it, the reason why
Sasuke is alone in this picture is
because he is usually alone in the
anime, I then added a custom sasuke
title to the bottom of the poster, to
make this poster I had to use many
tools, such as the contrast tool, the
magnify light tool, the magic wand,
the polygon selection tool, the
transform tool and many others, the
poster size was 24 x 36 inches which
is a normal size for a poster.
