Working Title:
The Yorkshire Puds: Battlefield One and Call of Duty infinite warfare comparison
Product’s Purpose:
To entertain whoever listens to it, it will be mainly focused on gaming also so It will be good for
people who want to hear reviews on games and other such media products, this kind of product
would be good to listen to when on a bus or on a plane, as it’s easy to listen to and passes the time,
the purpose of this product is to show people the truth about game developersand companies tha t
produce games, as most of them are corrupt and shouldn’t be allowed to constantly chuck out the
lukewarm and boring garb they make each year for their fanboys, we could get so much better if we
actually stopped buying the new cod each year, I’m going to talk about this, so people might
actually learn.
Genre:
My product is a podcast, which is focused and based around media products and other random
things which have happened recently in our lives.
Content
My podcast will be about popular games and games which I enjoy or maybe I don’t enjoy, it will also
be about other media topics such as music or films, I play a lot of games and I am not exactly
biased towards any, this makes me a good person to do reviewson them, this will be included in
my podcast because of this, I will most likely talk about big games on the computer as that is what I
usually play, but I may also do reviews on Dark souls 3 and Battlefield one, as I have played both
and am well versed in them, I really like the idea of reviewing gamesas I have strong opinions on
things and like to show them and use them, most people would just let game developers get away
with lazy choices however I will not, I think that games like Modern Warfare 3 are unacceptable as
it’s a clear clone of the previous game and a money grab for Activision, I will talk about things like
this, companies like EA and Activision and how they’re notorious for cloning their games and doing
the rinse and repeat tactic for them
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If so,
discuss it here
Audience:
My audience will basically be a variety of gamers, so basically I will be looking to reach people in the range
of 14 - as most gamers I know are older than this, I won’t really be looking to reach out to people younger
than this as they may not understand or be able to keep up with what I’m going to be talking about, and I
think older gamers may agree with me more, gender really doesn’t matter but the majority of gamers are
male so I will be predominantly reaching out to them.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
I don’t believe there will be any offensive material in my product as I am not looking to offend
anyone, I think the only people I might offend are the people who are fans of the game I am
reviewing, I might be a bit critical on the game and therefore offend the fans of it.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
No, it is not my job to restrict younger audiences from listening to my podcast, even still there is no
offensive material in it, so I doubt it’d be too bad if a young child listened to it, but they might not
understand my critique and why I am being critical on a game they like, this is why I have targeted
people fourteen and over.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
No, I will not be talking about any religious topics, the only thing I could think of is the occasional
‘God’ or things like that which might offend Christians as I am technically blaspheming, but as I
have said, I am not out to offend anyone.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
I will listen back through all the podcast and make sure I don’t say anything offensive, if I hear

anything I’ve said that’s offensive I will edit it out in the final edit.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Yes, I will be talking about Call of Duty and Battlefield one, but there is nothing else I should be
mentioning in my podcast.
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright infringement?
Yes, I don’t feel like my podcast is too similar to others, so I shouldn’t get sued for copyright
issues.
