Working Title:
Fredericks Funky Crusade
Product’s Purpose:
The products purpose is to entertain the player which I’ll achieve by making it fun and nice to look
at.
Genre:
It’s a platforming game.
Content
My product is about a frog (Frederick F Froge) who must find a princess by going through 2D
platforming levels. I’d also include dragonfly’s that Mr Froge would have to shoot thorns at to kill.
Audience:
My products audience is belongers of any age or gender who’s middle class or higher. They’d be
of any age as my game is strategic, so it appeals to older people by needing skill and it appeals to
younger people by being bright and fun. It also appeals to all genders as jumping through a level
isn’t masculine or feminine. The audience of my games social status would be middle class and
higher class as if they’re from a lower class they may not be able to afford the game or console.
The main psychographic of my game would be belongers; games are universally liked so liking
games is a common opinion and would make them fit in.
Research and Planning:
I’ll use the plot and other ideas from my mind map for example: the dragonflies as enemies, the
frog getting his outfit via lily pads and having the princess be the end goal of the game. In addition,
I’ll be basing designs off pictures on my mood board, and I’ll be making the colour scheme green
and blue.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Frederick F Froge will be French, so I’ll try not to offend any French people as the games not
intending to be offensive also Frederick is the hero so it’s not showing him in a bad light. I won’t
restrict younger people from using it as its not violent or graphic. My product is similar to “The
Princess and The Frog” however I use none of the same names or plot, just similar characters.
