Here is an evaluation of the research conducted:- The audience research provided valuable insights into the demographics, interests and preferences of the target audience. Key aspects like age, gender, interests and colour/design preferences were uncovered. - Conducting two interviews allowed for common themes to emerge but also some differing opinions. This highlighted that while there are overall trends, the audience is not entirely homogeneous. - Together, the research methods helped develop a well-rounded audience profile. Important factors like them being primarily male, aged 18-24, interested in sci-fi/action and subtle natural animation were identified.- Some limitations include the small sample sizes, particularly only two interviews. Gathering data from more people would increase

25. Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the
strengths and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
• A strength of my product research is that it gave me a basic idea of how my product
should look. A weakness is that it gave me no detailed insight into what my audience is
interested in, only the products that have been successful.
– Questionnaires
• A strength is that I was able to gather detailed information that is better suited to my
needs, I was able to ask my own questions and get a better insight into what my
audience wants from my product.
• A weakness is that there was a limit to how detailed the answers I received were, as my
audience had to choose from a set of pre-written answers.
– Interviews
• A strength of interviews was that I could speak directly to my audience and receive
detailed answers from them. This was a good way to learn more details about my
audience.
• A weakness is that due to interviews being so direct, I can’t conduct interviews on a large
scale. I was only able to interview two people.
26. Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
I received great feedback from my survey and interviews. I was able to gain a lot
of information from my results which I could apply to my product.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
– I distributed my survey by emailing it to classmates and friends. A
disadvantage of this is that it already gave me a vague idea of what responses
I would get. Another disadvantage is that the link could be spread to anyone
and I could receive results that were answered dishonestly.
