Here is a summary of my research evaluation:
- I conducted product research by analyzing existing theme park magazines and logos to understand common features and aspects to include in my own work. This helped generate ideas but was limited since I only looked at a few examples.
- I created an online survey using SurveyMonkey to gather audience data. I received over 20 responses which provided useful insights but a larger sample size would be better. Distributing it online made it convenient but some people may not want to take online surveys.
- I interviewed two people to get more in-depth feedback. This allowed me to ask follow up questions for clarity but interviewing more people would give a broader perspective.
Overall, using multiple research
2. EXISTING PRODUCT
This magazine has the logo (which is the
biggest on the cover) with a simple
design. It also has a photo of the main
subject they would be talking about in the
magazine with a subtitle on what the
photo is about. There are also mini
subtitles with other things in the magazine.
There is also a tab in the bottom right
saying there is extra content that doesn't
need to be on the cover. It makes
people(especially enthusiasts) want to buy
it as the would want to know the details of
the subjects in the magazine.
3. EXISTING PRODUCT
This magazine is quite simple but has
more than the ‘Attraction Magazine’
magazine. It is also quite similar to the
‘Attraction Magazine’. The writing covers
the photo but you an still see the photo
well. It is a lot more basic than others as it
only tells you about what's in the
magazine. There logo is pretty basic as
well.
4. EXISTING PRODUCT
On the inside they have a lot
more writing to tell you about
recent news. It may have
pictures to show you what it
looks like. This is a report about
the new hotel and they use the
tagline ‘Cool, Clean and Sleek’
to make other people want to
stay in it.
5. EXISTING PRODUCT
These logos were all similar to each other to
each other when they were old. They are quite
simple at a first look but when you look into them
they do hove a lot of detail on them. The only
thing that has changed on them is quality in the
logo. People would buy tickets to these parks due
to their popularity in the news and want to ride
their rides.
6. RESEARCH ANALYSIS
• What common features do the researched products have?
• On the magazine covers they have a pretty similar concept with a
picture of a ride, the logo at the top of the page and some text
telling you what's in the magazine. The page of information
includes a lot of writing so other pages in the magazine will be
similar to each other just on other subjects. The logos all have the
name that are the biggest on their log but they are very different to
each other as they have different styles as they cant really copy
any other logos.
• What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?
• I will take the concept of the magazine cover and make it my own. I
will also make my own logo based on many other logos that are
used. I will use the concept from the page of information and do a
different topic.

• No, 0-10 as I'm not a rollercoaster person and theme parks are based on how big they can
make their rollercoasters instead of the theming part.
• What makes you want to go to theme parks? Why?
• Characters in the theme park, the colour variety the theme park uses, the theme of the
