Texas A M Aviation History
Texas A M at its core is a senior military academy, with a rich history of producing leaders for our
nation s finest. Since our inception in 1876, there have been Texas Aggies fighting, and dying, in
every American conflict. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the involvement of aggies who served
in World War I, and specifically, the contribution made by Jesse L. Easterwood to the University, state
of Texas, and our nation. When regarding our schools history, specifically with World War I, we saw
an entire senior class drop out, and we fly 55 flags at every home football game to remember those
who never came back to this great school. In a literal sense, World War I provided Texas A M the
opportunity to fulfil its role as a land grant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The notebook was donated to the archive in 2003 by descendants of Eva Easterwood, processed in by

machine ruled paper, a black and white picture depicting the Old Main building, roughly thirty pages
of Animal Husbandry and Horticulture notes, and a rough draft for a letter to his father. Pertaining to
the university, and the state of Texas, this notebook is nothing more than that, a notebook. However,
the man whom once posed this notebook is what makes it a remarkable piece. Jesse Easterwood s
contribution to the nation through his pioneering efforts in naval aviation is what makes this notebook

Essay on The Ford Pinto Case
Business Case (The Ford Pinto)
There was strong competition for Ford in the American small car market from Volkswagen and several
Japanese companies in the 1960 s. To fight the competition, Ford rushed its newest car the Pinto into
production in much less time than is usually required to develop a car. The regular time to produce an
automobile is 43 months but Ford took 25 months only (Satchi, L., 2005). Although Ford had access
to a new design which would decrease the possibility of the Ford Pinto from exploding, the company
chose not to implement the design, which would have cost $11 per car, even though it had done an
analysis showing that the new design would result in 180 less deaths. The company defended itself on
the grounds that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ford did not approach the question of redesigning the gas tank to make the car safer versus waiting
another year allowing the foreign market to dominate subcompact vehicles. Their goal was only to
maximize profits. They did not into account the interests of their share holders and when they did
come into consideration, they were analyzed against profits. One has nothing to do with the other.
Their goal should not have been a race to make the most affordable subcompact car. Their focus
should have been to make a subcompact car that was not only most affordable but also the safest
subcompact. They were aware of the dangers associated with the rush production. It would have made
a difference if the $11 savings had been passed on to the customers because they would ve kept their
reputation and integrity in tact and possibly gain customers who were not considering the vehicle. Any
rational customer would not have chosen to save $11 to drive a car at the risk of dying. It is never
appropriate to knowingly jeopardize people s lives. That is a criminal act. Their actions were socially
irresponsible, ethically and morally wrong. They did not consider their own reputation nor did they
consider that they represented America in the industry.
As a financial manager at Ford, I am obligated to protect, enhance and promote the profits of the
organization and the decisions I make will reflect my social responsibility. First, I would

Equipment
18 balls (3 large, 5 small, 5 foam, 5 football/soccer)
50 milk cartons filled with sand
8 timers/whistles
5 envelopes
1 bucket
14 marker cones/marking tape
5 hoops
8 first aid kits

Once five minutes lapses groups will swap balls. The aim of this activity is to challenge the students to
demonstrate the correct FMS of kicking to score as many goals (ACPMP044), whilst realising the
importance of good movement sequences (ACPMP047).
Activity Three Rolling
10 skittles (milk cartons filled with sand) are arranged in a 10 pin formation. Students work in pairs
where one student rolls a small ball towards the skittles, whilst the other student replaces the skittles
as they are knocked over and calls the score. Students will swap positions after each turn. This activity
promotes the FMS of rolling (ACPMP044) where students demonstrate accuracy in their movement
pathways (ACPMP047) and begin to understand rules when completing physical activities
(ACPMP048).
Variations: Skittles and distance can be increased or decreased
Activity Four You ve got Mail (Running, leaping, jumping, throwing)
Partition a 4 meter square. Form two groups labeled email team and virus team. One email member
individually each email team member (envelopes in hands) runs through the area to deliver the
message to the computer screen (bucket). Whilst the virus team (foam balls), aims to hit the runner
below the waist. If the virus team is hit by the email team they stand frozen on the spot whilst the next
runner tries to get through the email team. The aim of the activity is to see how many emails can be

Vacuum Changed The World
The Way the Vacuum Changed the World The 1900s and on was a time of great inventions coming to
be. People wanted to make their world a better place so they started to invent things. One of the
inventions that came to be was the vacuum cleaner. The idea first came to be in around 1869 but it was
a little different. The vacuum we know about now didn t come to be until 1901, and we owe it all to
Hubert Booth (Bells). The vacuum cleaner impacted the world in many ways. It improved our health,
to a certain extent. It also provided more time for families to come together and have more quality
time. The vacuum cleaner had some negative impacts on the environment, small problems but
nevertheless there were problems. Not only did the invention of ... Show more content on

One of the most common is the Pack It Compression Sac Set. It uses the idea of a vacuum sucking up
dust and dirt but instead it takes out the air in a bag making it small and compact. Another invention
that came through the vacuum technology is found in airships. There is a vacuum tube which is an
electron tube containing a near vacuum that allows the free passage of electric current. In 1990 Arthur
De Bausset attempted to bring this idea to Congress, but the public was unsure about his idea. The
main principle of the airship is to fill it up with air like a balloon and then it would fly. This made way
for the hot air balloon (Noel). Although did invention doesn t really have anything to do with the
vacuum cleaner, the technology behind it is being put to use all around the

The Sampling Interval For The Current Clamps
The sampling interval for the current clamps can be changed depending on what we want to know. For
the air compressor we may log more frequently, for example every five seconds, if we find that the
compressor is switching mode very frequently, otherwise logging at 60 second intervals may be
enough. The purpose of the continuous measurement will also affect the logging interval. If the first
visit gives us the impression that the compressed air system is an important part of the energy use, we
may measure more carefully to have enough information to suggest detailed measures. The drawing of

In this case we will have a measurement from a switchgear cabinet that covers several unit processes,
for example lighting and forklift charging for a garage and picking stock, as shown in Figure 8. The
data from clamp no. 1 in the switchgear must be complemented by simulta‐ neous measurements from
clamps 2 and 3 in the distribution board, where clamp 2 measures the total incoming current to the
Central Garage board and clamp 3 measures the outgoing current to the forklift chargers. Later, the
data from clamp 2 in the Central Garage distribution board can be subtracted from clamp 1 in the
switchgear to get a picture of the energy use in Central Picking Stock and Central Large Hall. At the
same time you have parallel measurements of the air compressor from clamp no 4. The clamp

Loss of Innocence in Wordsworth s Nutting Essay
A Loss of Innocence in Wordsworth s Nutting A romantic poet, William Wordsworth examines the
relationship between the individual and nature. In the poem Nutting, Wordsworth focuses on the role
that innocence plays in this relationship as he describes a scene that leads to his own coming of age.
Unlike many of his other poems, which reveal the ability to experience and access nature in an
innocent state, Nutting depicts Wordsworth s inability as a young boy to fully appreciate nature,
causing him to destroy it. Addressing a young girl, most likely his sister, he writes to poem as a
warning of what happens within oneself when one does not fully appreciate nature. In his youth, the
speaker is too excited by duty and too tempted by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As he heads into the forest, the speaker describes himself as tricked out in proud disguise of cast off
weeds to help with his task (9). Although dressed in cast off weeds, a costume made of someone s
garbage, the boy is proud to wear them, showing his delight in his task. When the boy reaches his
chosen hazelnut tree, the innocence of nature further provokes him and adds to his desire to reap
nature s hidden treasure that his duty already caused. When he gets to the spot, the speaker describes it
as one dear nook, unvisited, where not a broken bough drooped with its withered leaves (16 18). The
word unvisited reveals the purity of the scene, an image that is heightened by the lack of a broken
bough and withered leaves, pointing to the vibrancy of the small area. In contrast, the hazels rose tall
and erect, with tempting clusters hung, a virgin scene! (19 21). The usage of tall and erect addresses
the word drooped from the previous image and further emphasizes this vibrancy. The phrase tempting
clusters hung reveals the boy s desire to collect the hazelnuts. This craving to strip nature of its fruit is
shown in the exclamation a virgin scene! . Virgin evokes the innocence of the scene, while the sexual
nature of the word suggests that the boy sees nature as something he has the power to corrupt, a
prospect which excites and entices him, shown by the exclamation

Having Friends In Its A Wonderful Life
As this website once advised, if you want to feel rich, just count all the gifts you have that money can t
buy. This quote relates to my theme, having friends and family will never make anyone fail in life,
because it shows that having family and friends are something you can t buy and you need. For
instance, George having uncle Billy to guide him with Peter Bailey s business, George s dad,
throughout the movie, such as in staying later in order for George can go spend precious time with his
family. This evidence supports my theme because it shows how having friends can help you in many
ways, in this case uncle Billy helps George with his father business throughout the movie. Another

that his life mattered more than he even thought. For example, near the end of the movie, George

Suddenly, Clarence appears out of the no where in order to save him from jumping into the ocean and
committing suicide. If it wasn t for Clarence, everyone who lived in the town and that George loved,
their lives would had turn completely around. Even though, Clarence was George s guardian angel, he
didn t need to thourgh himself overboard he could had talked to him. This shows how having friends
could procure a huge impact on your lives, even doing the craziest things such, jumping over a bridge
and into the ocean. At that point when Clarence shows him how him not being born, displays how
without him and his family could had not just changed his life and nevertheless his friends and family.,

Flavian Amphitheatre Essay
In this paper, I will argue that the Flavian Amphitheatre is the most aesthetically pleasing Roman
Monument created during the period of 80 96 CE. To Prove this claim, I will use research founded by
various sources to illustrate just how beautiful the colosseum was.
The Colosseum also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre is one of the biggest achievements of the
Roman age. The construction of this huge Amphitheatre was started by Vespasian in 72 AD. It was
finished by his son, Titus, in 80 AD. The Colosseum was built in the Centre of the city of Rome, Italy.
Measuring in at 190 by 155 meters, the Colosseum was the largest amphitheater in the Roman world.
Unlike many earlier amphitheaters, which were dug into hillsides to provide support. The Colosseum
was an independent structure made of three great inventions concrete and the vaulted arches. Concrete
was a recent invention which the Romans were still learning how to use. Not knowing exactly how
strong the substance was the Romans ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the Porta Libitina, the Roman goddess of death, and was the door through which the dead were
removed from the arena. The other door was the Porta Sanivivaria through which victors and those
allowed to survive the contests left the arena. The final two doors were reserved exclusively for the
Emperor s use. Located just near the main entrance to the Colosseum was the Arch of Constantine,

Unknown Vs Evil In Frankenstein
One of the many themes in James Whale s 1931 film Frankenstein is that of the known vs the
unknown or good vs evil. Whale uses the motif of fire as a powerful extension of what the good can
do to the darkness. Fire is used as a way to keep the Monster or the evil representation of the film in
isolation and outside of the known world and also as a way to show that the known or good will
always win against the unknown or evil.
Known vs unknown or good vs evil falls into the category of a knowledge narrative according to
Andrew Tudor. Tudor says that the narrative itself functions by proposing the existence of a body of
knowledge capable of mediating between these domains of known and unknown (83). The first
distinct moment where there is realization of the darkness/unknown trying to seep into the world of
the light/known is when Henry Frankenstein says that his monster has only been kept in complete
darkness and to wait until [he] brings him into the light (30:30 30:35). After his speech the Monster
walks into the room and Frankenstein closes the light as if to wait for the right moment to bring him
into light or the world of the known. When the Monster finally sits down on a chair, Frankenstein
opens the window on the roof to reveal the sunlight (32:07). Once the sunlight is revealed to the
Monster, it slowly turns his head upwards and walks very slowly and carefully into the light. The
Monster with its head and arms raised as if it wants to grab the light and become a

Essay about Reviving Psychophysical Supervenience
Reviving Psychophysical Supervenience
ABSTRACT: Many philosophers have lost their enthusiasm for the concept of supervenience in the
philosophy of mind. This is largely due to the fact that, as Jaegwon Kim has shown, familiar versions
of supervenience describe relations of mere property covariation without capturing the idea of
dependence. Since the dependence of the mental on the physical is a necessary requirement for even
the weakest version of physicalism, it would seem that existing forms of supervenience cannot achieve
that for which they were designed. My aim is to revive the concept of supervenience. I argue that if we
construe supervenience along Davidsonian lines as a relation connecting predicates rather than
properties ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In light of this, many have lost their enthusiasm for this idea.
My goal in this paper is to renew our faith in supervenience. To do so, however, will not require the
development of a new formulation of the concept; instead, it involves clearing up some
misconceptions about an existing version of this relation. I refer to Davidson s original treatment of
supervenience. Most have assumed that Davidson s brand of supervenience is equivalent to Kim s
weak supervenience, which is too weak to express dependence. I will argue that Davidson s
conception of supervenience is, despite certain formal similarities, quite different from Kim s and
clearly captures a sense of psychophysical dependence that is of use to forms of physicalism.
As I see it, the difference between Kim s approach and Davidson s lies in the items supervenience is
thought to connect. Kim s formulations of supervenience connect properties, which he takes to be the
ontological building blocks of events. In general then, Kim treats supervenience as a metaphysical
thesis about the distribution of properties in possible worlds. By contrast, Davidson has little tolerance
for the idea that events should be analyzed in terms of property exemplifications. Given Davidson s
reluctance to endorse properties, he prefers to think of supervenience as a relation between

The Philosophy Of Knowing And Learning
Knowing and learning can be interpreted in many different ways, but my philosophy of knowing and
learning is based on my understanding through the personal experience in the tutoring situation. As a
Tutor for students who were 9 years old, majority of the time was spent reading to develop their
English. An aspect that impacted the students learning progress tremendously was the tutor s
responsibility to understand the student s capability, needs and interest to support their learning
progress. When tutoring the students, there were some theories that were appropriate to aid the
students in reading and influenced the tutor s techniques employed to support the students learning.
The philosophers that influenced my tutoring techniques were Etienne Wenger, Jerome Bruner, Albert
Bandura, Ivan Pavlov, Burrhus Frederic Skinner, Jean Lave, Wolfgang Kohler and Lev Vygotsky.
Wenger s social theory believed that adding meaning and interest into an activity encourages learning
(Lave Wenger,1991). The Gestalt Approach influenced Kohler s idea where the student would need to
know the basic elements before being able to learn and acquire more knowledge (Phillips Soltis,
2009). To build up new ideas from the initial basic elements, Scaffolding by Bruner and Modelling by
Bandura were the two learning strategies utilized to support the student s learning (Nalliah Idris,
2014). The student is made aware that the new acquired skill or knowledge taught by Scaffolding and
Modelling

Science Celebrates with Dolly, the Cloned Sheep Essay
In the world of science there is only one reason for a celebration, a scientific breakthrough. July 5,
1996 is a date in many scientists eyes where a party is indeed called for. A star was created, Dolly, a
sheep who was successfully cloned in the hands of science. In the website article, How Human
Cloning Will Work, the authors Cristen Conger and Kevin Bonsor use rhetoric appeals to illustrate the
possible downfalls and achievements of human cloning. A detailed assessment of how the authors use
logos, pathos and ethos to explain a how to on cloning to their audience will be analyzed.

With the development of cloning, the idea of cloning humans became an option and with that came the
possibility of bringing deceased relatives back to life. At the end of reading this sentence, the authors
want the readers to think of their family members who have already taken their last breath. They want
their audience to feel an emotion, any emotion, rather it be the joy of seeing their lost loved one or
anger at the thought of resurrecting their loved one from their slumber.
To continue the rhetoric of emotional appeal, the authors mention that the suffering of animals in the
making of this scientific breakthrough.
Those close that do survive suffer from genetic abnormalities. Clone cells may age more rapidly,
shortening their lifespan, similar to what happened with Dolly. Some clones have been born with
defective hearts, lung problems, diabetes, blood vessel complications and malfunctioning immune
systems. One of the more famous cases involved a cloned sheep that was born but suffered from
chronic hyperventilation cause by malformed arteries leading to the lungs.
Instead of the authors writing many clone cells die early from complications, they list the
complications in detail for a whole paragraph to show that animals are suffering. The ongoing list
grabs the audience one by one as each comma goes by.
The authors further their emotional appeal by mentioning films dealing with cloning. Films are made

Besides the species being highly endangered and over fished despite regulations, Bluefin tuna
accumulate toxins like mercury in their bodies, which get passed along to happy restaurant goers.
Because the species lives in almost every ocean and migrates to reach an immense number of
countries, Pacific Bluefin tuna and Atlantic Bluefin tuna (also classified as northern and southern
Bluefin tuna) can be caught and eaten around the world. This also makes them especially hard to
monitor: when different nations are competing for one resource in the open ocean where no one has
jurisdiction, the international regulations are near impossible to enforce and it becomes a free for all.

Limitations And Limitations Of Evolutionary Algorithms
LIMITATIONS OF EVOLUTIONARY ALGORITHMS
Evolutionary algorithms are very promising problem solving techniques but at the same time, they
have a few limitations that can result in loss of efficiency.
Difficult parameter tuning: Any implementation of an Evolutionary algorithms will require the
specification of various parameters, such as population size, mutation rate, and maximum run time, as
well as the design of selection, recombination, and mutation procedures. Finding effective choices for
these is itself a hard problem with little to no theoretical support. In practice researchers must rely on
any available anecdotal reports from related problems, and lots of trial and error.
No assurance of convergence: There is no assurance that the evolutionary algorithm will converge to a
global optimum. There is a possibility that it gets stuck in one of the local optima. This is the reason
why EAs cannot be applied to real time problems where the accuracy and validity of the solution
cannot be compromised.
Keeping in view, the advantages and limitations of evolutionary algorithms, following three
algorithms have been employed in this work for automatic generations of Quantum and reversible
classical circuits:
1. Genetic Algorithm
2. Quantum Inspired Evolutionary Algorithm
3. Hybrid Quantum Inspired Evolutionary Algorithm
GENETIC ALGORITHM
Genetic Algorithm is a heuristic search and optimization algorithm which like any other Evolutionary
Algorithm, mimics the process of

Incident Command System Case Study
Revere is a city in Massachusetts, found in Suffolk County. located approximately 5 miles from
downtown Boston. With a population a little over 53,000. It is important for firefighters to understand
they must be prepared to respond quickly, efficiently and safely to tornadoes. There are many things to
take in consideration when it comes to a city such as Revere with a large population.
The agencies needed to effectively manage a post tornado response are the very same agencies needed
within the Incident Command System (ICS). Each of these agencies will play a crucial role in tornado
damage mitigation and victim assistance.
The Fire Department will be used to rescue trapped victims and execute fire suppression. Since the
fire department is normally better experienced in ICS, it will be crucial in assisting to establish the
command system. Wildland fire apparatus, such as brush trucks and command vehicles, which are
habitually equipped with four wheel drive, will allow personnel fast access to areas unreachable to
larger apparatus and other two wheel drive vehicles. The fire department also owns the tools needed
for victim extraction, such as chainsaws and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is not to diminish their capabilities, but rather to maximize them. There will only be a limited
number of ambulances capable of moving patients from the scene to awaiting hospitals. If EMS
personnel become too engaged in the rescue or retrieval of victims, there simply won t be anyone to
treat victim s injuries and transport them. Another way to look at this: EMS personnel are
treatment/transport experts. First responders and basic EMT s from other participating agencies, like
the fire department are capable of patient triage, which frees up the treatment experts to do what they
do best. Also, many private EMS providers do not provide their personnel The necessary PPE to
safely work in the austere environment created by tornado

The Relationship Between Concussions And The Human Brain
The purpose of this review paper is to learn about the relationship between concussions and the human
brain. This is relevant because if people learn about concussions and are aware of the effects of a
concussion, they may be more careful and avoid activities that could cause concussions.
A concussion is a trauma induced change in mental status, which includes confusion and amnesia, and
may cause someone to lose consciousness for a bit . It happens when the head hits or gets hit by an
object or when the brain is struck against the skull with a strong force to cause temporary loss of
functions. In addition, concussions can cause brain damage. Concussions can be caused from motor
vehicle accidents or from playing sports like football. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The research shows that concussions can cause people to lose consciousness and can have negative
effects on the brain. Concussions could also lead to diseases like depression. In addition, I learned that
the brain is made of three parts: forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. Some things that affect the brain
includes not enough sleep, smoking, and stress. Information from previous experiments gives
evidence for the relationship between the independent and dependent variable, since it shows how the
dependent variable is affected by the independent variable. For example, the American Academy of
Neurology has called for a ban on boxing. Boxers repeatedly get concussions over the course months
or years, which can lead to increasing head injury. The cumulative brain injuries suffered by most
boxers can lead to permanent brain damage. This gives evidence for my independent and dependent
variable, because it shows that if someone repeatedly gets concussions, it could lead to brain

The Battle Of The Mountain Warfare
There is a nice sound to the phrase mountain warfare. It has a ring of daring; it sounds much cleaner
than trench warfare and lighter than tank warfare. The only thing that can match it is war in the air,
and that has become too deadly to be nice any more. It has also become too familiar, while war in the
mountains is still strange enough to sound romantic. Except, of course, to the men who have to fight
it. Walter Bernstein, Italy, January 1944 (1)
With a thud, the Allied attempt to sweep Hitler s feet out from underneath him crashed into the
fortified Apennine Mountains of Italy. The slow moving campaign in Italy had lost all its momentum,
hitting the brick wall that the Apennines were. Garrisoned peaks swarming with Nazi soldiers deterred
any attacks. The Americans were unable to pass these natural fortresses. A foot attack in the light of
day would be easily seen and mowed down by machine gun fire, an attack by armored vehicles would
be too loud and alert the Germans, and an attack under the shade of night would be impossible and
dangerous with foot soldiers or machinery. The Nazi troops would not fall to any conventional troops
or weapons. Something revolutionary, new, and different would need to be used to send the Germans
running. The United States Tenth Mountain Division, brand new and untested, would be the ones
called upon to complete this task. The Tenth Mountain soldiers, or more fondly, the ski troops, were
sent into Northern Italy. They, using

Ferdinand Magellan was born in 1480, in a stone farm house in Portugal. His father s name was Dom
Ruy Magellan, and his mother s name was Donha Alda De Mesquite. His father was a Portuguese
nobleman and owned a large amount of land. He was also a sheriff, an honorary position awarded for
distinguished service to the crown. Ferdinand s brother was named Diago De Sousa, a name he took
from his wealthy grandmother, his sister was named Isabel Magellan. His family seemed to care about
each other and respected one another. His family owned cows, sheep, hogs, and goats and fields of

Magellan was certain that he could find the Spice Islands by sailing west, and in 1508 he asked King
Charles I for some ships. King Charles I gave him five ships: the Trinidad, San Antonio, Victoria,
Conceptio, and the Santiago. In 1519 he set sail for the Spice Islands, first stopping at the Canary
Islands. His second stop was Rio De Janeiro, and they traded a lot with the natives there. Later on they
stopped at Rio De La Plata for supplies. When nearing the tip of South America, they looked for a
strait which connected the Atlantic Ocean with the South Ocean that had been seen by a sailor in 1513.
After they found the strait, some people wanted to turn back but Magellan was convinced the Spice
Islands were not much further. Once the other captains tried to take over all the ships, but didn t
succeed. One was killed but the others were put into hard labor. Magellan named the South Ocean the
Pacific Ocean because Pacific meant calm. A lot of men died of scurvy because there wasn t enough
fruit and vegetables. Success had made Magellan a very religious man, so he tried to convert some
Islanders to become Christian, and succeeded in turning a tribe Christian, but made a fatal mistake by
agreeing to help the tribe fight an enemy tribe. Magellan was killed in the fight against the natives,
and another man called Juan Sebastian finished the voyage and was given all the credit for sailing
around the world. Out of the five ships only two ships, the

Sea Anemone Research Paper
The Dangerous But Not Dangerous Critter
Well you might be thinking how a sea anemone can be dangerous but not dangerous at the same time.
Sea anemone are dangerous but to fish but not to humans. Sea anemone are very interesting critters
with many unique features and other exquisite things.
The colors of the sea anemone can be a variety of colors like a rainbow. They also have a pretty wide
range in size and weight too. The length of the sea anemone ranges from ½ inch to 10 ft. Their weight
range is as light as 0.022lb to 440lbs. 440lbs is about the weight of a small piano.
Sea anemone live in a plentiful amount of oceans. They live in 3 of the 7 oceans of the world. Some
sea anemone love tropical, warm waters the Indian and Pacific ocean, while other sea anemone love
the icy cold waters of the Arctic. However, whatever ocean the sea anemone live in the sea anemone
lives in they all almost live in coral reefs. Coral reefs are very colorful and full of life because there
are so many different fish types and other ocean animals.

food that the clownfish ate. When a sea anemone makes friends with algae it is a little bit different.
The sea anemone will let the algae live in its tentacles and the algae uses photosynthesis to create
sugars for the sea anemone to eat. When a sea anemone and hermit crab become friends the hermit
crab will let the sea anemone get on its back and and move around with it. The sea anemone will scare

Antwone Fisher Symbolism
Throughout the two movies, Gus Van Sant and Denzel Washington used both language and stylistic
features to present the idea of a personal journey, in particular, through the use of symbolism. In the
film, Antwone fisher, Washington uses a symbol of women. The beginning of the film shows how
Antwone was mistreated and abused as a child through flashbacks. In this case the symbol of women
is used to symbolise worthlessness and insignificance as he is abused and beaten by his foster mother
and raped by his foster sister. As the film progresses Antwon meets and becomes romantically
involved with a woman, Cheryl, who is also in the navy. With Cheryl by his side Antwone is able to
stand up to his foster mother and no longer let her push him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Later as his maths skills become more and more evident to the professor, will is offered job
opportunities that could set him up for life and insure him of a brighter future. This again symbolises a
personal journey for will as maths opens a brighter more secure future.
By using symbolism as a stylistic feature Gus Van Sant and Denzel Washington are able to
successfully present the idea of a personal journey to their intended audiences.
Social language
Both Gus Van Sant and Denzel Washington successfully use language to present the idea of the
journey in their films however each one uses a different form of language. In Antwone Fisher,
Antwone uses body language or violence to shut people out and create a shield between his emotions
and the outside world, protecting people from getting to him and hurting him. When Antwone starts
seeing a councillor he learns to talk about his feelings and learns to deal with his anger without
violence. In the end of the film Antwone is a different man. He is calm and much more happier and
open as he has learnt to open up about his feelings and deal with emotions in a constructive way. He
learns to talk to people rather than just turning to violence to solve his issues. This shows a social
journey as Antwone learns to talk to people about how he feels rather than putting up a wall and using
violence to shut people out.

Marketing Plan For A New Product
Whenever introducing a new product to a current market, an organization will need to prepare for
challenges they may face. For this reason, Kohler will need to be smart with our promotional and
advertising objectives when introducing Hygieia to the commercial and residential markets. Our
objectives will focus on building awareness, creating interest, providing information, stimulating
demand, and reinforcing the brand. Working with our big box retailers, we will need to work closely
with channel members and our sales force to help with the execution of our promotional objectives to
be effective (CITE1).
Kohler being a well known faucet manufacture and distributor helps us to connect with current and
new customers. Our first objective building awareness, is a vital part to determine if the product will
be expanded to more stores outside of our test market. The first two months will be crucial, especially
when we need to present to The Home Depot and Lowes during our product line review, to show the
current sales performance. In this objective we will need to effectively reach out to our customers
though push promotional strategies to explain to our target customers the Hygieia value.
Our second objective will need to focus on providing information that can assist with customers in the
search stage when deciding to purchase a faucet for their home or business. With the Hygieia being
such a unique product to the market place it will have no competitors with the same dual soap

  • 2. Texas A M Aviation History Texas A M at its core is a senior military academy, with a rich history of producing leaders for our nation s finest. Since our inception in 1876, there have been Texas Aggies fighting, and dying, in every American conflict. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the involvement of aggies who served in World War I, and specifically, the contribution made by Jesse L. Easterwood to the University, state of Texas, and our nation. When regarding our schools history, specifically with World War I, we saw an entire senior class drop out, and we fly 55 flags at every home football game to remember those who never came back to this great school. In a literal sense, World War I provided Texas A M the opportunity to fulfil its role as a land grant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The notebook was donated to the archive in 2003 by descendants of Eva Easterwood, processed in by Aletha Andrew. Now as for the notebook itself, it s not rather remarkable; Forty nine leaves of machine ruled paper, a black and white picture depicting the Old Main building, roughly thirty pages of Animal Husbandry and Horticulture notes, and a rough draft for a letter to his father. Pertaining to the university, and the state of Texas, this notebook is nothing more than that, a notebook. However, the man whom once posed this notebook is what makes it a remarkable piece. Jesse Easterwood s contribution to the nation through his pioneering efforts in naval aviation is what makes this notebook truly one of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay on The Ford Pinto Case Business Case (The Ford Pinto) There was strong competition for Ford in the American small car market from Volkswagen and several Japanese companies in the 1960 s. To fight the competition, Ford rushed its newest car the Pinto into production in much less time than is usually required to develop a car. The regular time to produce an automobile is 43 months but Ford took 25 months only (Satchi, L., 2005). Although Ford had access to a new design which would decrease the possibility of the Ford Pinto from exploding, the company chose not to implement the design, which would have cost $11 per car, even though it had done an analysis showing that the new design would result in 180 less deaths. The company defended itself on the grounds that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ford did not approach the question of redesigning the gas tank to make the car safer versus waiting another year allowing the foreign market to dominate subcompact vehicles. Their goal was only to maximize profits. They did not into account the interests of their share holders and when they did come into consideration, they were analyzed against profits. One has nothing to do with the other. Their goal should not have been a race to make the most affordable subcompact car. Their focus should have been to make a subcompact car that was not only most affordable but also the safest subcompact. They were aware of the dangers associated with the rush production. It would have made a difference if the $11 savings had been passed on to the customers because they would ve kept their reputation and integrity in tact and possibly gain customers who were not considering the vehicle. Any rational customer would not have chosen to save $11 to drive a car at the risk of dying. It is never appropriate to knowingly jeopardize people s lives. That is a criminal act. Their actions were socially irresponsible, ethically and morally wrong. They did not consider their own reputation nor did they consider that they represented America in the industry. As a financial manager at Ford, I am obligated to protect, enhance and promote the profits of the organization and the decisions I make will reflect my social responsibility. First, I would ... People wanted to make their world a better place so they started to invent things. One of the inventions that came to be was the vacuum cleaner. The idea first came to be in around 1869 but it was a little different. The vacuum we know about now didn t come to be until 1901, and we owe it all to Hubert Booth (Bells). The vacuum cleaner impacted the world in many ways. It improved our health, to a certain extent. It also provided more time for families to come together and have more quality time. The vacuum cleaner had some negative impacts on the environment, small problems but nevertheless there were problems. Not only did the invention of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the most common is the Pack It Compression Sac Set. It uses the idea of a vacuum sucking up dust and dirt but instead it takes out the air in a bag making it small and compact. Another invention that came through the vacuum technology is found in airships. There is a vacuum tube which is an electron tube containing a near vacuum that allows the free passage of electric current. In 1990 Arthur De Bausset attempted to bring this idea to Congress, but the public was unsure about his idea. The main principle of the airship is to fill it up with air like a balloon and then it would fly. This made way for the hot air balloon (Noel). • 7. The Sampling Interval For The Current Clamps The sampling interval for the current clamps can be changed depending on what we want to know. For the air compressor we may log more frequently, for example every five seconds, if we find that the compressor is switching mode very frequently, otherwise logging at 60 second intervals may be enough. The purpose of the continuous measurement will also affect the logging interval. If the first visit gives us the impression that the compressed air system is an important part of the energy use, we may measure more carefully to have enough information to suggest detailed measures. The drawing of the electric (Table 3. Example of plan for energy measurements to allocate electricity use to unit processes.) In this case we will have a measurement from a switchgear cabinet that covers several unit processes, for example lighting and forklift charging for a garage and picking stock, as shown in Figure 8. The data from clamp no. 1 in the switchgear must be complemented by simulta‐ neous measurements from clamps 2 and 3 in the distribution board, where clamp 2 measures the total incoming current to the Central Garage board and clamp 3 measures the outgoing current to the forklift chargers. Later, the data from clamp 2 in the Central Garage distribution board can be subtracted from clamp 1 in the switchgear to get a picture of the energy use in Central Picking Stock and Central Large Hall. • 8. Loss of Innocence in Wordsworth s Nutting Essay A Loss of Innocence in Wordsworth s Nutting A romantic poet, William Wordsworth examines the relationship between the individual and nature. In the poem Nutting, Wordsworth focuses on the role that innocence plays in this relationship as he describes a scene that leads to his own coming of age. Unlike many of his other poems, which reveal the ability to experience and access nature in an innocent state, Nutting depicts Wordsworth s inability as a young boy to fully appreciate nature, causing him to destroy it. Addressing a young girl, most likely his sister, he writes to poem as a warning of what happens within oneself when one does not fully appreciate nature. In his youth, the speaker is too excited by duty and too tempted by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As he heads into the forest, the speaker describes himself as tricked out in proud disguise of cast off weeds to help with his task (9). Although dressed in cast off weeds, a costume made of someone s garbage, the boy is proud to wear them, showing his delight in his task. When the boy reaches his chosen hazelnut tree, the innocence of nature further provokes him and adds to his desire to reap nature s hidden treasure that his duty already caused. When he gets to the spot, the speaker describes it as one dear nook, unvisited, where not a broken bough drooped with its withered leaves (16 18). The word unvisited reveals the purity of the scene, an image that is heightened by the lack of a broken bough and withered leaves, pointing to the vibrancy of the small area. In contrast, the hazels rose tall and erect, with tempting clusters hung, a virgin scene! (19 21). The usage of tall and erect addresses the word drooped from the previous image and further emphasizes this vibrancy. The phrase tempting clusters hung reveals the boy s desire to collect the hazelnuts. This craving to strip nature of its fruit is shown in the exclamation a virgin scene! . Virgin evokes the innocence of the scene, while the sexual nature of the word suggests that the boy sees nature as something he has the power to corrupt, a prospect which excites and entices him, shown by the exclamation ... This quote relates to my theme, having friends and family will never make anyone fail in life, because it shows that having family and friends are something you can t buy and you need. For instance, George having uncle Billy to guide him with Peter Bailey s business, George s dad, throughout the movie, such as in staying later in order for George can go spend precious time with his family. • 11. Flavian Amphitheatre Essay In this paper, I will argue that the Flavian Amphitheatre is the most aesthetically pleasing Roman Monument created during the period of 80 96 CE. To Prove this claim, I will use research founded by various sources to illustrate just how beautiful the colosseum was. The Colosseum also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre is one of the biggest achievements of the Roman age. The construction of this huge Amphitheatre was started by Vespasian in 72 AD. It was finished by his son, Titus, in 80 AD. The Colosseum was built in the Centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Measuring in at 190 by 155 meters, the Colosseum was the largest amphitheater in the Roman world. Unlike many earlier amphitheaters, which were dug into hillsides to provide support. • 16. Unknown Vs Evil In Frankenstein One of the many themes in James Whale s 1931 film Frankenstein is that of the known vs the unknown or good vs evil. Whale uses the motif of fire as a powerful extension of what the good can do to the darkness. Fire is used as a way to keep the Monster or the evil representation of the film in isolation and outside of the known world and also as a way to show that the known or good will always win against the unknown or evil. Known vs unknown or good vs evil falls into the category of a knowledge narrative according to Andrew Tudor. Tudor says that the narrative itself functions by proposing the existence of a body of knowledge capable of mediating between these domains of known and unknown (83). The first distinct moment where there is realization of the darkness/unknown trying to seep into the world of the light/known is when Henry Frankenstein says that his monster has only been kept in complete darkness and to wait until [he] brings him into the light (30:30 30:35). After his speech the Monster walks into the room and Frankenstein closes the light as if to wait for the right moment to bring him into light or the world of the known. When the Monster finally sits down on a chair, Frankenstein opens the window on the roof to reveal the sunlight (32:07). Once the sunlight is revealed to the Monster, it slowly turns his head upwards and walks very slowly and carefully into the light. • 17. Essay about Reviving Psychophysical Supervenience Reviving Psychophysical Supervenience ABSTRACT: Many philosophers have lost their enthusiasm for the concept of supervenience in the philosophy of mind. This is largely due to the fact that, as Jaegwon Kim has shown, familiar versions of supervenience describe relations of mere property covariation without capturing the idea of dependence. Since the dependence of the mental on the physical is a necessary requirement for even the weakest version of physicalism, it would seem that existing forms of supervenience cannot achieve that for which they were designed. My aim is to revive the concept of supervenience. I argue that if we construe supervenience along Davidsonian lines as a relation connecting predicates rather than properties ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In light of this, many have lost their enthusiasm for this idea. My goal in this paper is to renew our faith in supervenience. To do so, however, will not require the development of a new formulation of the concept; instead, it involves clearing up some misconceptions about an existing version of this relation. I refer to Davidson s original treatment of supervenience. Most have assumed that Davidson s brand of supervenience is equivalent to Kim s weak supervenience, which is too weak to express dependence. I will argue that Davidson s conception of supervenience is, despite certain formal similarities, quite different from Kim s and clearly captures a sense of psychophysical dependence that is of use to forms of physicalism. As I see it, the difference between Kim s approach and Davidson s lies in the items supervenience is thought to connect. Kim s formulations of supervenience connect properties, which he takes to be the ontological building blocks of events. In general then, Kim treats supervenience as a metaphysical thesis about the distribution of properties in possible worlds. By contrast, Davidson has little tolerance for the idea that events should be analyzed in terms of property exemplifications. Given Davidson s reluctance to endorse properties, he prefers to think of supervenience as a relation between ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Philosophy Of Knowing And Learning Knowing and learning can be interpreted in many different ways, but my philosophy of knowing and learning is based on my understanding through the personal experience in the tutoring situation. As a Tutor for students who were 9 years old, majority of the time was spent reading to develop their English. An aspect that impacted the students learning progress tremendously was the tutor s responsibility to understand the student s capability, needs and interest to support their learning progress. When tutoring the students, there were some theories that were appropriate to aid the students in reading and influenced the tutor s techniques employed to support the students learning. The philosophers that influenced my tutoring techniques were Etienne Wenger, Jerome Bruner, Albert Bandura, Ivan Pavlov, Burrhus Frederic Skinner, Jean Lave, Wolfgang Kohler and Lev Vygotsky. Wenger s social theory believed that adding meaning and interest into an activity encourages learning (Lave Wenger,1991). The Gestalt Approach influenced Kohler s idea where the student would need to know the basic elements before being able to learn and acquire more knowledge (Phillips Soltis, 2009). To build up new ideas from the initial basic elements, Scaffolding by Bruner and Modelling by Bandura were the two learning strategies utilized to support the student s learning (Nalliah Idris, 2014). Limitations And Limitations Of Evolutionary Algorithms LIMITATIONS OF EVOLUTIONARY ALGORITHMS Evolutionary algorithms are very promising problem solving techniques but at the same time, they have a few limitations that can result in loss of efficiency. Difficult parameter tuning: Any implementation of an Evolutionary algorithms will require the specification of various parameters, such as population size, mutation rate, and maximum run time, as well as the design of selection, recombination, and mutation procedures. Finding effective choices for these is itself a hard problem with little to no theoretical support. In practice researchers must rely on any available anecdotal reports from related problems, and lots of trial and error. No assurance of convergence: There is no assurance that the evolutionary algorithm will converge to a global optimum. There is a possibility that it gets stuck in one of the local optima. This is the reason why EAs cannot be applied to real time problems where the accuracy and validity of the solution cannot be compromised. Keeping in view, the advantages and limitations of evolutionary algorithms, following three algorithms have been employed in this work for automatic generations of Quantum and reversible classical circuits: 1. The only thing that can match it is war in the air, and that has become too deadly to be nice any more. It has also become too familiar, while war in the mountains is still strange enough to sound romantic. Except, of course, to the men who have to fight it. Walter Bernstein, Italy, January 1944 (1) With a thud, the Allied attempt to sweep Hitler s feet out from underneath him crashed into the fortified Apennine Mountains of Italy. The slow moving campaign in Italy had lost all its momentum, hitting the brick wall that the Apennines were. Garrisoned peaks swarming with Nazi soldiers deterred any attacks.
