On Becoming A Leader, The Most Obstacle With Standard...
It is a fact that focusing only on skills and produce managers instead of leaders is a major obstacle
with standard leadership courses. Indeed, the leadership characters and criteria cannot be taught or
given in a regular way. But, they must be learned.
Since leaders are unique characters, what they ve acquired and how they implement it to define the
future is unique as well. In fact, leaders are made at least by their experience, their understanding as
well as application of their experiences as by any skills.
Obviously, in order to be a good leader, the leader must master the world as the person knows
himself/herself very well. A wide range of studies indicates that some types of experiences are
especially important to learning. These experiments should consist of broad and continuing education,
families, extensive travel, a rich private life, and key associations with mentor and friends.
In the book On becoming a Leader , the author mentioned that some authors believe there are two
principal methods of conventional learning. The first principal is maintenance learning while the
second approach is shock learning.
On the one hand, maintenance learning is the gaining of fixed appearance, methods and laws for
dealing with known and recurring cases. In addition, it the form of learning that is made to hold an
existing system or established way of life.
On the other hand, shock learning is the case when events overwhelming and destroy people. Learning
by shock always

Cardiovascular System Vs Respiratory System Essay
The human body is not simply just an organism, or just body. The body is comprised of many different
systems. Although these systems all work together with one common goal, to maintain homeostasis,
perhaps there are not two systems that work more closely together than the respiratory system and the
cardiovascular system. Although the entirety of each body system has a generalized common goal,
these two systems share a relationship. The both focus on providing oxygen to the blood, and then
ensuring that this richly oxygenated blood is circulated throughout the body. The whole human
organism would fail if it lacked just one of these systems, and the individual systems would fail
without each other. To fully understand how the two work together, one must fully realize the
functions of each system apart. The respiratory is not one of the biggest systems of the body, but it is
one of the most commonly known. However, this system is not simply for breathing or the lung
system . In fact, these notions only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The two most significant to the coexistence of both systems being the pulmonary artery and
pulmonary vein. The pulmonary artery carries the blood lacking in oxygen into the lungs (Bailey).
From there, the oxygen from the air sacs goes into the blood vessel, while the carbon dioxide comes
out (How Does Oxygen Get Into the Bloodstream) . Upon this moment, the organism exhales
releasing the carbon dioxide. Meanwhile, the now oxygenated blood travels throughout the body,
which especially important for the muscles. Oxygen is required for the muscles to preform any sort of
strenuous activity. Faster paced breathing and an elevated heart rate aren t random symptoms of a
good work out. The blood must quickly transfer oxygen to the muscles. This is so that the muscles
have the ability to create adenosine tri phosphate (ATP) which carries

Realist Fiction As Realistic Fiction
Genre Why:
The novel is classified as Realistic Fiction because the events of the novel could take place in real life.
Text Evidence:
On page 5, the author provides a detailed, realistic setting told by the protagonist s point of view That
summer, let s see, I m still living under the basement, my own private down under, in the little room
Grim built for me there. Glued up this cheap paneling, right? It sort of buckles away from the concrete
cellar walls, a regular ripple effect, but do I complain about the crummy paneling, or the rug that
smells like old tide? I do not. (Philbrick, 5) The readers can also infer about the character through their
dialect, and in this case, the protagonist seems to be observant of their surroundings and is mostly
likely still in school.
In a family conflict on page 89, it shows conflict seen through the protagonist s eyes. ....this shouting
starts upstairs, Understand, Grim never yells at Gram, not that I can ever remember, and Gram, well,
the worst thing she ever does is cry when she s mad. But somebody else sure is yelling up there, and
so I sneak up the stairs and I don t even have to put my ear to the door, that s how loud it is. Through
the protagonist, we see the situation realistically and vividly and how this is affects certain people.
This is described vividly that it feels like we are experiencing what the protagonist is experiencing.
2. What can you infer about the author based on the novel?
Inference:
I can infer that

Phoenix Jackson Obstacles In A Worn Path
Phoenix Jackson was the woman wrote about in the story A Worn Path. She displayed courageous
efforts and determination as she walked toward town. The lecture defined a phoenix as a bird that
regenerates itself after falling into flames (Bethel University, 2017). The story relates to that in the
sense that Miss Jackson doesn t let anything stand in her way and keeps pushing forward despite her
obstacles. There were many moments in the story where Phoenix could have given up and retreated
home. The first would have been the noises she heard in the bushes as she walked. The woods contain
many animals that can attack at any given time. An attack occurred when she encountered the dog.
Her will and determination when she hit the dog did not

Adam And Eve, And The Serpent
According to the Genesis in the Hebrew bible, the story of Adam and Eve in books 1 4 eating from the
tree of knowledge was considered a sin, but after a close analysis of the story perhaps eating from the
tree of knowledge only opened up Adam and Eves eyes to see the world for what it truly is. The
serpent tempted Eve to eat the fruit, and later Eve convinced Adam to follow in her footsteps. From
this act the Lord God Punished Adam, Eve, and the serpent. Their disobedience was the first sin
committed by the first humans, but why was the Lord God being so overprotective of both Adam and
Eve? Was finding out the truth of the world . Was eating from the tree of knowledge a good or an evil
act? And Why was the punishment that the Lord God implemented on Adam, Eve, and the serpent
harsh? Adam and Eve committed the first sin but through their sin or mistake the human race has
accomplished great success.
Was the Lord God being too overprotective of both Adam and Eve? Well, they had everything that
they could need in the Garden of Eden. In the Eden, the land was fertile with beautiful gardens, fruit
trees, cool breezes, rivers, and the tree of knowledge. He created eve from Adam s rib when he needed
company. Adam and Eve were the Lord God s first humans so he gave them the highest quality of life
and even gave them immorality. The Lord God really cared for them because they were his first
children. The Lord God only had one rule which both Adam and Eve couldn t obey.

When people have a good connectivity at their disposal, with tremendous power of distributed
computing to supplement the same, we can think of connecting their personal computers to the real
world applications of managing school or any institute . With this, people would be able to connect
and disconnect, and manage the handling of school at their home even from a distant place. One of the
very basic examples of a utility of this is there is no old file system now, every task is now online.
Students can deposit their school fees online now either by credit/debit cards or by internet banking
via bank gateway.Student registration will be online,Hostel allotment,Mess bills,Libray management

Hospice And Palliative Care Organization
Introduction According to the National Hospice and Palliative Care organization, in 2011, an
estimated 1.651 million patients received services from hospice care, while 1,059,000 patients passed
away from this form of care in the same year (NHPCO pdf, 2012). Hospice end of life cares
mission/goal is to provide compassionate care for patients and their families who are living with a life
limiting illness. This type of medical service gives expert medical care, pain management, and
emotional and spiritual support (NHPCO, 2016). End of life care is beneficial for ones well being
while they are passing away. Giving someone a peaceful and warm environment to spend their final
life moments in. This form of end of life care is something that most people can relate to as many
friends and family members have gone through this process. Hospice care is delivered to many
patients, residents, and in general people all around the world, having many factors that go into
hospice such as the requirements to receive hospice, the care team and the levels of care one receives,
all of these factors are extremely important when it comes to the care for one s life, family member, or
friend.
Hospice 101 There are many factors that go into hospice services, not just the basic cares that one
would assume. According the U.S. National Library of Medicine, hospice care helps people with
illnesses that cannot be cured and who are nearing death. The goal is to give comfort and peace

Research Paper On Kitsune
Kitsune are from Japanese folklore and are Japanese foxes. A kitsune can have up to nine tails,
depending on its age, wisdom and power. The only way to kill a kitsune is to cut off all of its tails, as it
is said that one of the tails is its main tail and the source of all its power. Not knowing which tail is the
main one, one would have to cut off all its tails to kill it.One, five, seven, and nine tails are the most
common numbers in folk stories. When a kitsune gains its ninth tail, its fur becomes white or gold.
A kitsune is a shapeshifter, and usually when it reaches the age of 100 years, it learn the ability to take
on a human form. Thus, they have to be a fox for a hundred years before it can shapeshift from a fox

The zenko (善狐, literally good foxes) are benevolent, celestial foxes associated with the god Inari;
they are sometimes simply called Inari foxes. On the other hand, the yako (野狐, literally field foxes,
also called nogitsune) tend to be mischievous or even malicious. Local traditions add further types.
For example, a ninko is an invisible fox spirit that human beings can only perceive when it posseses
them. Another tradition classifies kitsune into one of thirteen types defined by which supernatural
abilities the kitsune possesses.
Physically, kitsune are noted for having as many as nine tails. These kyūbi no kitsune (九尾の狐, nine
tailed foxes) gain the abilities to see and hear anything happening anywhere in the world. Other tales
attribute them infinite wisdom (Omniscence).
There are thirteen different kinds of Kitsune, each with a corresponding element, listed as follows:
Heaven (or Celestial or Prime), Void (or Dark), Wind, Spirit, Fire, Earth, River, Ocean, Mountain,
Forest, Thunder, Time and Sound. One of the most important things to a Kitsune is freedom. They do
not fare well to being locked away, and do not like to be forced to do something they don t want to.
Doing something like that would be likely to get you killed if they are freed. Kitsune love playing
tricks. They like to take things and hide them from people, or do just about anything else to piss

Essay about AdlerianTheoryweek1
Adlerian Theory Suzette R. Derosier CNDV 5311 Lamar University Adlerian Theory Alfred Adler
contributed groundbreaking theories to psychology that far surpassed his mentors and paved the way
for modern psychology today. Adler was a contemporary of Sigmund Freud at the turn of the last
century. Although he had great respect for Freud he felt restricted by Freud s theories that put the
cause of human behavior as constructs of biology, and that every person suffered from the same
problems. Adler believed that human beings were more than mere repeating patterns physiology. Adler
believed that humans created their own behaviors based on their experiences and emotions. This
concept has led to an incredible field of study that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His theory was that people can change their own behavior for the better if they can realize what past
experiences made them feel inferior, acknowledge those experiences, and learn that they have the
power to change themselves and grow (intellectually) from that knowledge. This in turn can motivate
them to change their behavior from dysfunctional to successful and thriving within their community.
In one counseling session a therapist describes his client as almost selfish to a fault . This selfish
behavior is a result of experiences in her life when she needed help from others and it was not
available. In turn she learned how to take care of herself and not wait or ask others for help. This
behavior makes her very self sufficient but it can affect her relationships negatively. This impacts the
trust she has for people, in turn others will not trust her and this is a crucial element in a healthy
relationship. Accepting her faults and analyzing them will aid her in forming a plan to change her
behavior. Adlerian Therapeutic Techniques The foundation of Adler s therapeutic technique is to get to
know his client as an individual with emotions and experiences like no one else. This is accomplished
with an extensive interview covering a wide range of topics such as; their first early childhood
memories, their birth order in the family, and their relationships with family members.

Barnhouse Effect Essay

Professor: Desmond T. Burke

Date:29th July 2017
There are many different types of creature on earth but human is considered as highest among all the
living creatures. Brain is the thing which makes human superior to any other living creature. Both the
stories selected by me are an exceptional examples of the human brain power. Moreover the writers
have used their imagination in a beautiful way to depict the stories also the stories have a hidden
moral which is only known to those who really get into the core of them. One of the story is The
report on Barnhouse effect and other one is the secret life of Walter Mitty .
To begin with, both the stories are a beautiful work of imagination. On one hand Mitty is ... Show

This shows the whether it be subconsciously or coincidently, witty has a strong patriotic feeling inside
him, which indirectly encouraged him to imagine this stuff up. While if we consider professor Arthur,
he s shown to be a true patriot in the story. The story tells that Professor Arthur comes to know about
his ability during the second World War. Looking around at all the destruction caused by the war,
unconsciously forces him to make a new weapon on his own. Considering the after effects of the war,
Professor Arthur chooses to use his weapon to restore peace in the world. He uses his dynamo
psychism power to demolish the large amount of weapons and other things which are used in war.
Which proves him to be a messenger of peace and a true patriot
Both the characters are really meek and fearful. The image of Walter Mitty by others is that of a meek
husband who is dominated by his wife and is not at all adventurous and seriously lacks motives and
goal in his life. The way Walter perceives himself to be in his dream world is entirely different from
what he is in his real life. While professor Arthur fears the destruction of the world. Declaring himself
the world s first weapon with a conscience , he flees and goes into hiding. Even Though he destroys
the arms and ammunitions, he is afraid that he is mortal and human life is transient. He fears that at
some point of time, again the world will turn towards war like situations.

Motif And Motifs In Macbeth
Sight of Darkness: Analyzing Murder Motifs in Macbeth
Throughout Shakespeare s Macbeth, the motif sight represents a terrible event or murder; coinciding
with the event, while also highlighting Macbeth s lack of accountability for the crimes. Through the
use of the motif sight, it is conveyed that Macbeth decides he must turn a blind eye to the murder of
Duncan. While trying to secure the throne he is prophesied to have, Macbeth frequently questions
whether he should interfere with fate s process. After speaking with Duncan, Macbeth steps aside and
states, The eye wink at the hand, yet let that be /which the eye fears, when it is done, to see (1.4.59
60). Macbeth s thoughts to kill Duncan are so evil when he does it that Macbeth doesn t want to look.
In addition, the eye is a directly related to the brain, therefore, by winking, Macbeth tries to avoid
acknowledging the evil he may commit. To conclude, Macbeth cannot stomach the thought of killing
Duncan so he must turn a blind eye to it; he will try to literally not see it, and not acknowledge it
cognitively. Another example of Macbeth turning a blind eye is after the killing of Duncan. Macbeth
discusses with Lady Macbeth the remorse and guilt he feels. He states, I am afraid to think what I have
done. / Look at again I dare not (2.2.66 67). Even after killing Duncan in attempt to claim the throne,
Macbeth refuses to look at Duncan and his dead body. This again highlights Macbeth s refusal to
condone his deeds as he cannot bare to look at what he has done. The final sight motif used by
Macbeth precedes the murder of Banquo. Even after Duncan is dead, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
cannot stand idle and wait for the crown to be delivered to them; they decree to remove any threats
posed to their succession. For this reason, they hire three murderers to kill Banquo. While talking to
Lady Macbeth about their plans, Macbeth responds, Come, seeling night, / scarf up the tender eye of
pitiful day / and with thy bloody and invisible hand (3.2.52 54). Similarly to the first passage, Macbeth
is saying the actions of killing Banquo are so violent that it cannot be visible by the light of day.
Related to both passages, Macbeth does not want anyone to

Characteristics Of An Anglo-Saxon Hero
Beowulf: An Anglo Saxon Hero The Anglo Saxons culture and traditions are rooted in their beliefs of
the perfect hero. Their ideal hero has many key characteristics influenced by their culture including
courage, strength, bravery, thick skin, loyalty, humbleness, and the ability to create strong trustworthy
friendships. Beowulf is an epic poem that exhibits the ideal Anglo Saxon hero. The Anglo Saxon
traditions illustrated in Beowulf accurately represent the Anglo Saxon traditions of the time period.
This is accomplished through the distinct correlation of heroic characteristics between Beowulf and
the culture s traditional depiction of an Anglo Saxon hero. Anglo Saxons believed that to be a hero
was to be a warrior (Garcia). They believed their ideal heroic warrior should have five main
characteristics: courage, strength, bravery, thick skin, and loyalty. Anglo Saxons believed these five
characteristics created the perfect image of an Anglo Saxon hero. They believed that a hero should
have godly strength and courage during battles and not allow for emotional senses to affect him;
hence, the thick skin. Anglo Saxons believed that emotions could distract a hero from his sole purpose
in battle. Bravery was also a key characteristic Anglo Saxons believed a hero should have as it was a
basic component every hero needed in order to act upon other characteristics like strength and courage
successfully. They also believed that an Anglo Saxon hero should be loyal as loyalty kept unity among
the people and was the foundation of the Anglo Saxon culture (Trekker2392). Anglo Saxons believed
that without loyalty, there would be no unity and trust between people. Betrayal was rare with the
Anglo Saxon people (Trekker2392). An Anglo Saxon hero would not betray anyone no matter the
circumstance. Other underlying factors still key to an Anglo Saxon hero include the ability to be
humble, have an appearance of a warrior, and create strong friendships. Anglo Saxons believed that a
hero should look the part, have a great build, and a brave otherworldly appearance (Cascio). If an
Anglo Saxon hero did not have the proper build of a warrior, Anglo Saxons may not take him as a
serious hero. Humbleness was also key for an

experience and make the guest feel like they are family; in Italian it is called Hospitaliano! In an effort
to have competitive advantage over other chain restaurants, Olive Garden emphasizes comprehensive
employee trainings in order to provide their customers the best service possible. But even though
employees have gone through training, there are some issues that would need to be fixed in order to
have 100% customer satisfaction. The issues we have identified for Olive Garden Restaurants are the
hostess system, reservations, running of the food, and inputting the order. The hostess system will be

The third issue was the process of the servers running the food. Since they are shorthanded on servers,
the scheduled servers help each other out by delivering each other s food which in turn takes away
time away from their own guests. Lastly, inputting the order creates a problem because most servers
are not properly trained or have forgotten the flow of inputting orders, some servers put the order in
right away and guests receive their food while they are still enjoying the appetizers or the soup/salad;
while others wait too long to put in the order for a steak dinner which takes longer to cook than a
simple pasta or meatballs which makes the guest be upset because they are not enjoying the food the
way they should. Overall, if Olive Garden were to improve these four issues, the restaurant would run
a lot smoother and guests will be happier and return more often to enjoy their dinner. In every
restaurant s serving process, there is always room to improve efficiency and service quality for
customers. We have created a process flow chart, a check sheet, and a service blue print for Olive
Garden s customer service. These tools help us identify problems and indicate possible improvements
to better serve customers. Below are our proposals for improvements in four identified areas.
According to our service blue print, the first problem with the serving process is Olive

advertisements use images, body language, fantasy, and text to entice the audience. An advertisement
in New Beauty magazine for a new weight loss technique depicts a woman fearlessly looking at

The fantasy that this Dillion Precision article invokes is pretty evident. If you are a man with an

For the reason that consumers only need to carry a mobile device rather than multiple forms of paper
and plastic, mobile wallets will be considerably useful. Also, because they can track users shopping
and purchases, mobile payment systems can offer advanced personal shopper services such as
endorsements and new deals based on one s location and past purchasing history. According to a
recent Pew Research survey, nearly 66 percent of participants believe their smartphones will replace
traditional payment options like credit cards and cash by 2020. (Gramigna, K. 2015). Therefore, a few
people do believe that they will be using their phones instead of cash. Cash may not disappear
completely, but it will not be used as much. As claimed by those that doubt cash will truly disappear,
mobile payments will never replace cash. Data from Intuit shows that 55 percent of the nation s 27
million small businesses do not accept credit cards. Despite study after study proving otherwise, many
merchants believe it is too expensive to take credit. Given this, the likelihood of those merchants
adopting mobile payment technology in the near future seems slim. (Quinn, M. 2014) It is too unlikely
to expect cash payments to disappear completely. Nowadays, pulling out your wallet for cash or using

Examples Of Mistakes In American History
Nobody is perfect, so everyone all makes mistakes. Human created history and even historical
failures. Some people believe that we usually repeat what we did wrongly before. It sounds similar to
the British author George Bernard Shaw s idea: We learn from history that we learn nothing from
history. However, in my opinion, that idea is completely not correct, because we must learn something
from the mistakes we made in the past, so that we would not do them one more time at the present or
in the future.
In my essay, I will use three examples from American history (from 1877 to the present) to disprove
George Bernard Shaw s statement. They are all the mistakes which the American made in the past
have not appeared until today.

Bush used to say a sentence which was very famous and seemed as his promise. That was Read my
lips: No new taxes . However, in June 1990 Bush abandoned his Read my lips. No new taxes

conservatives were critical of this shift, and his popularity ratings fell immediately. (8) On March 4,
1992, he said: I thought this one compromise, and it was a compromise, would result in no more tax
increases. I thought it would result in total control of domestic discretionary spending. And now we
see Congress talking about raising taxes again. And some in Congress are talking about trying to break
down the spending caps. And so I m disappointed and given all of that, yes, a mistake. (9)
Let s talk about an example of kept promises. Barak Obama promised to Extend the Bush tax cuts for
lower incomes and he kept his word. He extended the Bush tax cuts for those making less than
$250000 (couples) or $200000(single). (10) He promised to Create an Advanced Manufacturing Fund
to invest in peer reviewed manufacturing processes, and once again he kept his word.
As a president, it would be terrible if that president broke his promise to the public. Once he says
something, he had better follow and do exactly the same as what he said. If not, his words will become
unreliable. Barak Obama was the 44th president of the United States, and it seemed that he learned a

Sociocultural Development Theory. His key concepts of The Zone of Proximal Development, More
Knowledgeable Others, and Internalisation.
For my second practiced based experience I will draw on Erik Erikson s Theory of Identity
Development. His key concept of psychosocial development stages.
My first experience concerns an 11year old girl named Ella.
I was sitting in the library with Ella after she had completed her E asTTle testing. While we were
waiting to head back to the classroom Ella was completing a math s project. She explained to me that
she was in a higher learning level math s group and was completing a math s badge. Mrs. Jones head
of math s for year 7/8 is assisting Ella with her math s badge and told me that Ella is doing extremely
well.
My second experience was observing a group of 5 girls that had gone outside to practice their
presentation of an Anzac day story to be delivered before their peers. When one of the girls proceeded
to deliver her part of the presentation, Katy another of the girls in the group sidled up to her,

Pros And Cons Of A Living Constitution
In the United States, there has often been debate over whether the U.S. Constitution is a living
constitution. A living constitution is the idea that the interpretation of constitutional phrases should
take into account the contemporaneous society. In other words, practices and traditions of the
government have the ability to change and transform over time in accordance with the changes in
society. Similarly, there has often been debate in the religious community as to whether the practices
and traditions of the church have the ability to change and transform in order to better suit the needs of
its constituents. Two Popes in the Roman Catholic church, Pope Francis and Pope Pius IX, have
published documents with opposing viewpoints about the church s ability to change and transform
over time. The aforementioned documents also highlight other issues commonly debated within the
church. Ultimately, Pope Francis favors a more progressive church, that is opento change, while Pope
Pius IX favors a church with more rigid guidelines that follow traditional practices. Pope Francis
Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, was published in November 2013. The document discusses
several current debates occurring in the Catholic Church. First, Francis discusses the dangers of a
consumeristic society and warns that the current economy is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Some of the heresies rejected include the belief that the church isn t perfect, the idea that the church
can change over time, the concept of separation of church and state and the theory of pluralism.
Ultimately, Pius asserts that the Catholic Church is a true and perfect society, claiming precedence
over the rules of civil society and law. More so than that, the traditional practices of the church shall
be maintained and should be included in all aspects of life, including civil practice, philosophy and the

The Characters Of The Solar Eclipse
The Twisted Eclipse By: Thomas Fox, Amelya Cook, Autumn Kelly, Ansley Hopper, Evan Dean
Exposition: The warm summer breeze brushed eagerly at Jimmy and Johnny as they left their house.
The solar eclipse was today, but they had already seen one, and they didn t expect much. They would
go to the park with Samantha, get some ice cream, and walk around. That was their daily routine. The
truth was, the twin brothers both had a crush on Samantha, but they were both scared to say something
about it. As they walked, their wavy blonde hair whisked to and from, but it didn t matter. Their
golden bronze skin gleamed in the magnificent sunlight. No one could tell them apart, except
Samantha. Johnny had shiny hazel eyes that glowed in the moonlight, and Jimmy had deep blue eyes.
Johnny finished texting Samantha and told Jimmy that she would meet them in the downtown area of
their hometown, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. They went to their usual meeting place under the bridge but
away from the water. When they saw Samantha, both their jaws dropped to the ground. She looked
stunning! Her purple sundress blended to perfection with her cream colored skin, her eyes shined like
diamonds, and her dirty blonde hair had the perfect amount of curls in it. They sat and talked, neither
twin could stop looking at her beautiful hair. What they didn t know, however, was that their lives
would take a twisted turn in a matter of hours. After they had finished talking, they went and got their
ice cream.

Finance of Higher Education in the 21st Century
Running Head: Finance Higher Education 21st Century ABSTRACT 1 Introduction The value of
higher education has never been more imperative than it has become now in 21st century. Purpose of
the study is to establish the relationship between growing educational opportunities and the need for
financial back up. The development in higher education has become a very critical issue of the era as
to the fiscal support. There should be less expenditure and more opportunities available for the support
of higher professional education. The evidence has been incorporated that addresses the question
about finance of higher education in the 21st century , furnishing the hypothesis for proposing how
much important the issue of finance in the development of higher education is in expanding the
educational opportunities, and identifying the future research needs as to this theme (Dominic J.
Brewer, 2001). Methodology Primary data have been collected using the interview questionnaire. A
sample of the students has been interviewed and the results were judgmentally related to the whole
population. Secondary data from already available sources has also been taken in account. Data so
collected has been processed analyzed through non statistical judgment for any omissions, legibility
and consistency. Hypothesis has been formulated that there is significant need to increase the finance
for the higher education to meet the ever increasing challenges of the 21st century. Maximizing
revenues

Essay about The Film Schindler s List versus Novel...
Schindler s List
The film Schindler s List has a tendency to simplify and sentimentalize the character Oskar Schindler
compared to the novel Schindler s Ark in which the film is based on. The film Schindler s List lacks
depth and understanding of the character Oskar Schindler, and tends to over dramatize events within
the film in which Oskar Schindler is responsible for.
The novel Schindler s Ark begins its in depth documentary story with the earlier life of Oskar

Epicurean Vs Lucretius Analysis
In contrast, the Epicurean, Lucretius, establishes the idea of order as arising from chaos, manifested
through atoms and their motions in space. As opposed to Plato, Lucretius provides a naturalistic
explanation of universal phenomena by reconciling Parmenidean reasoning with experience where the
world is eternal and has unity, consisting of many atoms and empty space or the great inane . In effect,
Lucretius illustrates the creation of the material universe as a result of the union of elementary
particles that had existed for eternity rather than the divine act of a creator. As such, all objects and
structures are seen to be formed by the combination of atoms and their chaotic motions in space.
Hence, the unity in the uniformity of the atoms

19th Century Japan
As 19th century Europe and America modernized, acquiring better medical, military, communication,
and maritime technologies; they expanded and transformed the world. Required to handle increasing
western pressure in the mid 19th century, China, the Ottoman Empire, and Japan had to introduce
western liberal ideals supporting industrialization, nationalism, or economic reforms; whether
circumventing or incorporating them, they thus created the foundation for their future. Reform meant
to re structure, to change for the better, but also implied there had been a need to improve and added
value to that change. Introducing liberal reform movements to counter the spread of western influence
was a necessity for all non western societies; understanding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

But in the 19th century, Japan recognized its isolationist policies inadequacy and the new international
power shift when Europe and the United States forced it to sign the Kanagawa and Yedo treaties
limiting its control on its own foreign trade and demanding it open to outside trade . In 1798 already,
Honda Toshiaki criticized the Tokugawa, demanding an enlightened government , prophesying clearly
Japanese success if it adopted Western reforms to learn the effective use of gunpowder, to develop
metallurgy, to increase trade, and to colonize. The Tokugawa collapse led to the 1868 Meiji
Restoration, reinstalling the emperor, and reforming Japanese political and social structure mirroring
western powers . Directing the innovations and not afraid to challenge the social order thanks to its
cultural, ethnic, and national homogeneity, Japan s government proved successful in its endeavor,
instating a centralized, practical government and a constitution with an elected parliament, the Diet.
The Meiji Restoration was a political revolution, developing nationalism of the descendants of the
loyal and good subjects of Our Imperial Ancestors centered on the sacred and inviolable Emperor
presented as a symbol of Japanese culture and continuity. To increase the national budget and built up
the country s strength, the government started a more effective tax system. Liberal ideas brought
political and financial security, allowing new industries and technologies investment. Its economy
developed strong transportation and communication; its population grew highly educated and Japan
built a powerful army and navy. Its Constitution guaranteed liberal principles of property rights
(article 27), freedom of religion (article 28), and freedom of speech (article 29). Having fought and

Summary Of The Night Odyssey
Lost It was the summer of 1998; I was pregnant with my second child, when my two year old son, my
husband, my brother Vladimir, his girlfriend Nicole, two other couples and I went on vacation to
Brittany, France. Usually, I spent the summer in Serbia with my two grandmas and the rest of the
family. But this year, we decided to go another time to visit them. I never thought this would be one of
my most regretted decisions I have ever made. I cannot remember the name of the place where we
stayed for two weeks. The only thing I do remember is our night odyssey in Paris, how we weren t
able to find the way out through the maze tunnels to the highway which was supposed to lead us to the
no name village in Brittany. Eventually, around midday, we arrived at our house. As we were the only
ones with a child, the rest of the group treated my son like an alien whose task was to turn the nightly
rest upside down, so the banned us to the only bedroom in the first floor. In hindsight, it was the best
room of the whole house, due to the heat which emanated at night heavily from the attic rooms and
made breathing difficult. The area was beautiful, green hills everywhere; the few houses looked like
they were put into the lush meadows by a creative behemoth. Although you could not see the ocean,
the constant blowing wind carried the salty, fishy smell to your house. The fleecy clouds alternated
with the sunshine I a two day cycle. So we went sightseeing on the cloudy days, on the other, to

stuck together, they were able to get through them. Throughout this book, there are a lot of themes but
one good one, in particular, is that true friends stick together until the end. There are a lot of examples
of this because there were so many hardships where the kids stuck together. One of these examples is

The War Of 1812 Was A Great Deal Of Curiosity
History has the tendency to cause a great deal of curiosity. For instance, someone may wonder what
the War of 1812 was and what difficulties the United States had in waging the War of 1812. They also
might ponder about why the War of 1812 was widely viewed as a victory for the United States or how
the war lead to an increasing pattern of diplomatic cooperation between the United States and Britain.
Our very own seventh president, Andrew Jackson, has meant a great deal in our history and some may
ask what it was about his presidency that distinguished him compared to his predecessors, or how he
refined the role of the president. Last but not least, there remains the important question about what
factors lead to the increasing production of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before getting to that point, we must first discuss the events that led to increasing tensions between
the United States and Britain. One of the difficulties that led to the War of 1812 was because of the
failure of economic sanctions. In 1810, congress had replaced the Nonintercourse Act with Macon s
Bill No. 2 in hopes of creating easier trading throughout the nations. Through this time, and with the
replacement of the Nonintercourse Act with Macon s Bill No. 2, Napoleon had promised to withdraw
decrees against U.S. shipping on the condition that if Britain should not follow suit, Madison would
have to force Britain to respect U.S. rights. Unfortunately, French seizures of U.S. ships continued and
by the time Napoleon s requests were clear, he had worsened Anglo American tensions. In November
of 1810, Madison had reimposed Nonintercourse against Britain which only caused the two nations to
have more conflicts. Another difficulty leading to the decision of war in 1812 was due to the frontier
and Indian resistance. Madison was also pushed toward a war against Britain because of mounting
frustrations in the South and West. Farm prices plunged when Jefferson s embargo shut off exports,
but stayed low after the embargo was lifted. Much of the blame for persistent agricultural depression
focused on the British and their hold on overseas trade after 1808. As we can see, Britain and the U.S.
had not been on good sides of the other. In fact, western

Outline The Role Of The Infantry In The Future
Introduction
1. With the ever changing battle space, the introduction of Adaptive Campaigning and the
reorganisation of the Army under Plan Beersheba, it is worth reflecting upon the role of the infantry
and its relevance to modern and future warfighting, with the increased emphasis on the future of
combined arms operations.
2. This essay aims to outline the role of the infantry in the future of combined arms operations and the
training implications this creates. It may be seen that the role of the infantry as stated is as relevant as
ever; however, with the increase in fighting in complex human, physical and informational terrain it
may be pertinent to revise the challenges as they relate to the training and preparation of the infantry.

characteristics and capabilities it provides. These characteristics and capabilities that have been

enable it to mitigate many of the weaknesses of a combined arms teams and capitalise on its strengths.
While other arms can achieve many of the same outcomes and effects that the infantry can (and

Similarities Between Carnegie And Jp Morgan
Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefeller, and J.P Morgan were all the richest men of the era. However,
each of their stories differ the way they got there and what they choose to do with their wealth.
Therefore even though they were all making tons and tons of money, their lifestyles were dramatically
different. These three men were apart of the Gilden Age a time when corruption existed in society but
was overshadowed by the wealth of the period. Andrew Carnegie, was immigrant from Scotland his

Carnegie also used a process called horizontal consolidation or horizontal integration this is a process

Is It Good Or Bad To Go Against Society Research Paper
Is It Good or Bad to Go Against Society Society can be viewed in two ways: Evil and limiting or there
for a reason. It is based on opinions whether living as an aggregate of people is helpful or it deprives
rights. Throughout history, the ones who went against society were the ones who disagreed and
wanted something to change. Stories are told from these fights and are created into books, which
create inspiration. In certain situations, breaking laws can create disastrous mayhem as in Romeo and
Juliet, but rebellion can sometimes be beneficial such as Atticus Finch and Skeeter opposing
segregation. In 1962, Jackson, Mississippi; Miss Skeeter, featured in The Help, Went against society
by seeing past skin color. Segregation was a major issue during that time period. As said in the book,

or adult content; just a high point of a love tango between Kurt Russel and Kim Cattrall characters
throughout the movie, passionate kisses, and women in lingerie. They have great use of special effects

  • 2. On Becoming A Leader, The Most Obstacle With Standard... It is a fact that focusing only on skills and produce managers instead of leaders is a major obstacle with standard leadership courses. Indeed, the leadership characters and criteria cannot be taught or given in a regular way. But, they must be learned. Since leaders are unique characters, what they ve acquired and how they implement it to define the future is unique as well. In fact, leaders are made at least by their experience, their understanding as well as application of their experiences as by any skills. Obviously, in order to be a good leader, the leader must master the world as the person knows himself/herself very well. A wide range of studies indicates that some types of experiences are especially important to learning. These experiments should consist of broad and continuing education, families, extensive travel, a rich private life, and key associations with mentor and friends. In the book On becoming a Leader , the author mentioned that some authors believe there are two principal methods of conventional learning. The first principal is maintenance learning while the second approach is shock learning. On the one hand, maintenance learning is the gaining of fixed appearance, methods and laws for dealing with known and recurring cases. In addition, it the form of learning that is made to hold an existing system or established way of life. On the other hand, shock learning is the case when events overwhelming and destroy people. • 3. Cardiovascular System Vs Respiratory System Essay The human body is not simply just an organism, or just body. The body is comprised of many different systems. Although these systems all work together with one common goal, to maintain homeostasis, perhaps there are not two systems that work more closely together than the respiratory system and the cardiovascular system. Although the entirety of each body system has a generalized common goal, these two systems share a relationship. The both focus on providing oxygen to the blood, and then ensuring that this richly oxygenated blood is circulated throughout the body. The whole human organism would fail if it lacked just one of these systems, and the individual systems would fail without each other. To fully understand how the two work together, one must fully realize the functions of each system apart. The respiratory is not one of the biggest systems of the body, but it is one of the most commonly known. However, this system is not simply for breathing or the lung system . In fact, these notions only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The two most significant to the coexistence of both systems being the pulmonary artery and pulmonary vein. The pulmonary artery carries the blood lacking in oxygen into the lungs (Bailey). From there, the oxygen from the air sacs goes into the blood vessel, while the carbon dioxide comes out (How Does Oxygen Get Into the Bloodstream) . Upon this moment, the organism exhales releasing the carbon dioxide. Meanwhile, the now oxygenated blood travels throughout the body, which especially important for the muscles. Oxygen is required for the muscles to preform any sort of strenuous activity. Faster paced breathing and an elevated heart rate aren t random symptoms of a good work out. The blood must quickly transfer oxygen to the muscles. This is so that the muscles have the ability to create adenosine tri phosphate (ATP) which carries ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Realist Fiction As Realistic Fiction Genre Why: The novel is classified as Realistic Fiction because the events of the novel could take place in real life. Text Evidence: On page 5, the author provides a detailed, realistic setting told by the protagonist s point of view That summer, let s see, I m still living under the basement, my own private down under, in the little room Grim built for me there. Glued up this cheap paneling, right? It sort of buckles away from the concrete cellar walls, a regular ripple effect, but do I complain about the crummy paneling, or the rug that smells like old tide? I do not. (Philbrick, 5) The readers can also infer about the character through their dialect, and in this case, the protagonist seems to be observant of their surroundings and is mostly likely still in school. In a family conflict on page 89, it shows conflict seen through the protagonist s eyes. ....this shouting starts upstairs, Understand, Grim never yells at Gram, not that I can ever remember, and Gram, well, the worst thing she ever does is cry when she s mad. But somebody else sure is yelling up there, and so I sneak up the stairs and I don t even have to put my ear to the door, that s how loud it is. Through the protagonist, we see the situation realistically and vividly and how this is affects certain people. This is described vividly that it feels like we are experiencing what the protagonist is experiencing. 2. What can you infer about the author based on the novel? Inference: I can infer that ... • 6. Adam And Eve, And The Serpent According to the Genesis in the Hebrew bible, the story of Adam and Eve in books 1 4 eating from the tree of knowledge was considered a sin, but after a close analysis of the story perhaps eating from the tree of knowledge only opened up Adam and Eves eyes to see the world for what it truly is. The serpent tempted Eve to eat the fruit, and later Eve convinced Adam to follow in her footsteps. From this act the Lord God Punished Adam, Eve, and the serpent. Their disobedience was the first sin committed by the first humans, but why was the Lord God being so overprotective of both Adam and Eve? Was finding out the truth of the world . Was eating from the tree of knowledge a good or an evil act? And Why was the punishment that the Lord God implemented on Adam, Eve, and the serpent harsh? Adam and Eve committed the first sin but through their sin or mistake the human race has accomplished great success. Was the Lord God being too overprotective of both Adam and Eve? Well, they had everything that they could need in the Garden of Eden. In the Eden, the land was fertile with beautiful gardens, fruit trees, cool breezes, rivers, and the tree of knowledge. He created eve from Adam s rib when he needed company. Adam and Eve were the Lord God s first humans so he gave them the highest quality of life and even gave them immorality. The Lord God really cared for them because they were his first children. The Lord God only had one rule which both Adam and Eve couldn t obey. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Essay about AdlerianTheoryweek1 Adlerian Theory Suzette R. Derosier CNDV 5311 Lamar University Adlerian Theory Alfred Adler contributed groundbreaking theories to psychology that far surpassed his mentors and paved the way for modern psychology today. Adler was a contemporary of Sigmund Freud at the turn of the last century. Although he had great respect for Freud he felt restricted by Freud s theories that put the cause of human behavior as constructs of biology, and that every person suffered from the same problems. Adler believed that human beings were more than mere repeating patterns physiology. Adler believed that humans created their own behaviors based on their experiences and emotions. This concept has led to an incredible field of study that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His theory was that people can change their own behavior for the better if they can realize what past experiences made them feel inferior, acknowledge those experiences, and learn that they have the power to change themselves and grow (intellectually) from that knowledge. This in turn can motivate them to change their behavior from dysfunctional to successful and thriving within their community. In one counseling session a therapist describes his client as almost selfish to a fault . This selfish behavior is a result of experiences in her life when she needed help from others and it was not available. In turn she learned how to take care of herself and not wait or ask others for help. This behavior makes her very self sufficient but it can affect her relationships negatively. This impacts the trust she has for people, in turn others will not trust her and this is a crucial element in a healthy relationship. Accepting her faults and analyzing them will aid her in forming a plan to change her behavior. Adlerian Therapeutic Techniques The foundation of Adler s therapeutic technique is to get to know his client as an individual with emotions and experiences like no one else. This is accomplished with an extensive interview covering a wide range of topics such as; their first early childhood memories, their birth order in the family, and their relationships with family members. ... The image of Walter Mitty by others is that of a meek husband who is dominated by his wife and is not at all adventurous and seriously lacks motives and goal in his life. The way Walter perceives himself to be in his dream world is entirely different from what he is in his real life. While professor Arthur fears the destruction of the world. • 12. Motif And Motifs In Macbeth Sight of Darkness: Analyzing Murder Motifs in Macbeth Throughout Shakespeare s Macbeth, the motif sight represents a terrible event or murder; coinciding with the event, while also highlighting Macbeth s lack of accountability for the crimes. Through the use of the motif sight, it is conveyed that Macbeth decides he must turn a blind eye to the murder of Duncan. While trying to secure the throne he is prophesied to have, Macbeth frequently questions whether he should interfere with fate s process. After speaking with Duncan, Macbeth steps aside and states, The eye wink at the hand, yet let that be /which the eye fears, when it is done, to see (1.4.59 60). Macbeth s thoughts to kill Duncan are so evil when he does it that Macbeth doesn t want to look. In addition, the eye is a directly related to the brain, therefore, by winking, Macbeth tries to avoid acknowledging the evil he may commit. To conclude, Macbeth cannot stomach the thought of killing Duncan so he must turn a blind eye to it; he will try to literally not see it, and not acknowledge it cognitively. Another example of Macbeth turning a blind eye is after the killing of Duncan. Macbeth discusses with Lady Macbeth the remorse and guilt he feels. He states, I am afraid to think what I have done. / Look at again I dare not (2.2.66 67). Even after killing Duncan in attempt to claim the throne, Macbeth refuses to look at Duncan and his dead body. This again highlights Macbeth s refusal to condone his deeds as he cannot bare to look at what he has done. The final sight motif used by Macbeth precedes the murder of Banquo. Even after Duncan is dead, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth cannot stand idle and wait for the crown to be delivered to them; they decree to remove any threats posed to their succession. For this reason, they hire three murderers to kill Banquo. While talking to Lady Macbeth about their plans, Macbeth responds, Come, seeling night, / scarf up the tender eye of pitiful day / and with thy bloody and invisible hand (3.2.52 54). Similarly to the first passage, Macbeth is saying the actions of killing Banquo are so violent that it cannot be visible by the light of day. • 13. Characteristics Of An Anglo-Saxon Hero Beowulf: An Anglo Saxon Hero The Anglo Saxons culture and traditions are rooted in their beliefs of the perfect hero. Their ideal hero has many key characteristics influenced by their culture including courage, strength, bravery, thick skin, loyalty, humbleness, and the ability to create strong trustworthy friendships. Beowulf is an epic poem that exhibits the ideal Anglo Saxon hero. The Anglo Saxon traditions illustrated in Beowulf accurately represent the Anglo Saxon traditions of the time period. This is accomplished through the distinct correlation of heroic characteristics between Beowulf and the culture s traditional depiction of an Anglo Saxon hero. Anglo Saxons believed that to be a hero was to be a warrior (Garcia). They believed their ideal heroic warrior should have five main characteristics: courage, strength, bravery, thick skin, and loyalty. Anglo Saxons believed these five characteristics created the perfect image of an Anglo Saxon hero. They believed that a hero should have godly strength and courage during battles and not allow for emotional senses to affect him; hence, the thick skin. Anglo Saxons believed that emotions could distract a hero from his sole purpose in battle. Bravery was also a key characteristic Anglo Saxons believed a hero should have as it was a basic component every hero needed in order to act upon other characteristics like strength and courage successfully. They also believed that an Anglo Saxon hero should be loyal as loyalty kept unity among the people and was the foundation of the Anglo Saxon culture (Trekker2392). Anglo Saxons believed that without loyalty, there would be no unity and trust between people. Betrayal was rare with the Anglo Saxon people (Trekker2392). An Anglo Saxon hero would not betray anyone no matter the circumstance. Other underlying factors still key to an Anglo Saxon hero include the ability to be humble, have an appearance of a warrior, and create strong friendships. Anglo Saxons believed that a hero should look the part, have a great build, and a brave otherworldly appearance (Cascio). If an Anglo Saxon hero did not have the proper build of a warrior, Anglo Saxons may not take him as a serious hero. Humbleness was also key for an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But even though employees have gone through training, there are some issues that would need to be fixed in order to have 100% customer satisfaction. The hostess system will be implemented by working with the IT ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The third issue was the process of the servers running the food. Since they are shorthanded on servers, the scheduled servers help each other out by delivering each other s food which in turn takes away time away from their own guests. Lastly, inputting the order creates a problem because most servers are not properly trained or have forgotten the flow of inputting orders, some servers put the order in right away and guests receive their food while they are still enjoying the appetizers or the soup/salad; while others wait too long to put in the order for a steak dinner which takes longer to cook than a simple pasta or meatballs which makes the guest be upset because they are not enjoying the food the way they should. Overall, if Olive Garden were to improve these four issues, the restaurant would run a lot smoother and guests will be happier and return more often to enjoy their dinner. In every restaurant s serving process, there is always room to improve efficiency and service quality for customers. We have created a process flow chart, a check sheet, and a service blue print for Olive Garden s customer service. Data from Intuit shows that 55 percent of the nation s 27 million small businesses do not accept credit cards. Despite study after study proving otherwise, many merchants believe it is too expensive to take credit. Given this, the likelihood of those merchants adopting mobile payment technology in the near future seems slim. (Quinn, M. 2014) It is too unlikely to expect cash payments to disappear completely. • 17. Examples Of Mistakes In American History Nobody is perfect, so everyone all makes mistakes. Human created history and even historical failures. Some people believe that we usually repeat what we did wrongly before. It sounds similar to the British author George Bernard Shaw s idea: We learn from history that we learn nothing from history. However, in my opinion, that idea is completely not correct, because we must learn something from the mistakes we made in the past, so that we would not do them one more time at the present or in the future. In my essay, I will use three examples from American history (from 1877 to the present) to disprove George Bernard Shaw s statement. The Development Of Human Development Essay Human Development in Children aged 11years Human development refers to the biological and psychological development in the human being throughout the lifespan. It consists of the development from infancy, childhood and adolescence to adulthood. In this essay I will analyse two practiced based experiences to demonstrate my understanding of human development. For my first practiced based experience, I will be drawing on Lev Vygotsky s Sociocultural Development Theory. His key concepts of The Zone of Proximal Development, More Knowledgeable Others, and Internalisation. Mrs. Jones head of math s for year 7/8 is assisting Ella with her math s badge and told me that Ella is doing extremely well. The truth was, the twin brothers both had a crush on Samantha, but they were both scared to say something about it. As they walked, their wavy blonde hair whisked to and from, but it didn t matter. • 22. Finance of Higher Education in the 21st Century Running Head: Finance Higher Education 21st Century ABSTRACT 1 Introduction The value of higher education has never been more imperative than it has become now in 21st century. Purpose of the study is to establish the relationship between growing educational opportunities and the need for financial back up. The development in higher education has become a very critical issue of the era as to the fiscal support. There should be less expenditure and more opportunities available for the support of higher professional education. The evidence has been incorporated that addresses the question about finance of higher education in the 21st century , furnishing the hypothesis for proposing how much important the issue of finance in the development of higher education is in expanding the educational opportunities, and identifying the future research needs as to this theme (Dominic J. Brewer, 2001). Methodology Primary data have been collected using the interview questionnaire. A sample of the students has been interviewed and the results were judgmentally related to the whole population. Secondary data from already available sources has also been taken in account. Data so collected has been processed analyzed through non statistical judgment for any omissions, legibility and consistency. Hypothesis has been formulated that there is significant need to increase the finance for the higher education to meet the ever increasing challenges of the 21st century. Maximizing revenues ... As opposed to Plato, Lucretius provides a naturalistic explanation of universal phenomena by reconciling Parmenidean reasoning with experience where the world is eternal and has unity, consisting of many atoms and empty space or the great inane . In effect, Lucretius illustrates the creation of the material universe as a result of the union of elementary particles that had existed for eternity rather than the divine act of a creator. As such, all objects and structures are seen to be formed by the combination of atoms and their chaotic motions in space. Hence, the unity in the uniformity of the atoms ... Before getting to that point, we must first discuss the events that led to increasing tensions between the United States and Britain. One of the difficulties that led to the War of 1812 was because of the failure of economic sanctions. In 1810, congress had replaced the Nonintercourse Act with Macon s Bill No. 2 in hopes of creating easier trading throughout the nations. Through this time, and with the replacement of the Nonintercourse Act with Macon s Bill No. 2, Napoleon had promised to withdraw decrees against U.S. shipping on the condition that if Britain should not follow suit, Madison would have to force Britain to respect U.S. rights. Unfortunately, French seizures of U.S. ships continued and by the time Napoleon s requests were clear, he had worsened Anglo American tensions. In November of 1810, Madison had reimposed Nonintercourse against Britain which only caused the two nations to have more conflicts. Another difficulty leading to the decision of war in 1812 was due to the frontier and Indian resistance. Madison was also pushed toward a war against Britain because of mounting frustrations in the South and West. Farm prices plunged when Jefferson s embargo shut off exports, but stayed low after the embargo was lifted.
