EEG signals can be used to analyze a person's mental state. The document proposes using time-frequency domain analysis via Daubechies wavelet transform of EEG data and fuzzy c-means classification to determine a person's emotional state and detect any mental disturbances or abnormalities. This method is feasible with minimal costs and no reliance on specialized hardware. Testing of the method and documentation of results is planned over a proposed 11-week schedule. Accurate mental state analysis via EEG could help address serious mental health issues faced by many.
