Universal Design is a framework that promotes accessible and inclusive design of products, buildings, and environments for people of all ages and abilities. It aims to accommodate individual differences so that separate adaptations are not necessary. Universal Design for Learning applies this concept to education by providing flexible learning environments through multiple means of representation, engagement, and action/expression based on research in cognitive neuroscience and learning.
