tremendous time with their devices forgetting about what is surrounding them. Secondly students who seek the advanced technology to find solutions

Children spending children spending extended period of time using their smart device preventing them from playing outside to experience new thing

My involvement with Best Buddies and UT SEEK (Student Engineers Educating Kids) has strengthened my appreciation for people of different
backgrounds and conditions.
As I discuss in my primary application, Best Buddies has opened my eyes to the struggles of disabled adults. By sharing time with my buddy and
the entire organization, I have come to realize the value of the gifts I have in my life, and this has driven me to help my buddy to make his life easier.

When depression hits someone there is no telling how it will affect a person because it seems
like it has a different effect on everyone. There have only been a few times in my life when I can
honestly say that depression got the best of me and the symptoms pretty much sucked. The different
stages of this disorder always take a bad turn and tend to mess with people's minds. Sometimes people
can be stressed and not know it but the signs and symptoms are there and even if someone can see tell
there is not much a person can do until the person faces the fact that they are going through it. There
are questions to the classification of stress and that is to classify it as a disorder or as disease. There
were plenty of times when looking back at it I can honestly say that I remember someone being under
a depressive stage and for some reason not being able to tell there was anything wrong with the person.
