3. Why Is Individuality Important
In a time like the 21st century, individuality is especially important. Everywhere you go there s a
person that s trying to either be themselves or they re trying to be like someone else. Everyone has her
own sense of uniqueness, some people either keep it to themselves, or they like to make it known that
they are different. Individuality is the genre of music you like, it s the hobbies you like to do in your
free time, it s the little things you do that define who you are. Finding your personal individuality is a
part of life. Throughout life you have been surrounded by things that will shape who you are and those
thing will help determine who you will become to be.
It is important to express your selfness. In order to do that you must be comfortable with who you are
and you must accept the fact that you are unlike anyone else. This isn t a bad thing at all. Recently, I
learned to embrace who I am. Before then, I was very insecure and quiet. I had to realize that I needed

Some people think that being yourself is a bad excuse to be selfish and to not conform to society.
Personally I think that establishing your individuality is important to do because people need to
express who they are and not try to be like each other. For example, I rap and in order to gain fans I try
to distinguish myself from other rappers on Soundcloud because if not, no one will want to make
music with me which will make it even harder to become known. Growing up as a kid I didn t exactly
fit in with all the other popular kids. As i got older it meant more to me to be who I am. Come to find
out i fit in more if i was just myself. I realized that I m not that different from other people because
some people are just as weird as me. That s when I realized individuality is something to not be
ashamed of. No two people are exactly alike and I feel that it s a part of life to find that

4. Cardiovascular Disease In Women Essay
Introduction The topic I will explore is heart disease in women. The question, what do healthcare
providers need to know about cardiovascular disease in women and how their symptoms and
presentation differ from men will be discussed. Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death in
women and men in the Western world. Nearly 1 million cardiovascular related deaths a year are
women. Many women s risk factors go unrecognized and untreated by their primary care physician
(Pregler et al., 2009). According to FamilyDoctor.org, American women are 4 to 6 times more likely
to die of heart disease that of breast cancer (2009). In generally men have an earlier onset of heart

Current Evidence Based Status
Crimmins, Hayward, Ueda Saito and Kim in there journal article give statistical data on heart disease
and death in both women and men (2008). This article states 37 percent of men and 27 percent of
women over the age 65 report having a heart condition (Crimmins et al., 2008). Crimmins research
addresses the many differences in men with coronary artery disease compared to women with
coronary artery disease. The study noted that men have a higher mortality rate from heart disease than
do women (Crimmins et al., 2008). This article also notes that 40 50 percent of postmenopausal
women will develop heart disease (Crimmins et al., 2008). Crimmins and colleges noted men develop
heart disease 5 to 10 years earlier in life than do women ( 2008). Evidence suggests that women who
are hospitalized for cardiovascular issues are less likely to receive certain types of drugs and
diagnostic and treatment procedures (Crimmins et al., 2008). Low socio economic status and poor
educational levels also have a marked effect on men and women s knowledge of cardiovascular
disease and the timing of when they seek treatment (Hemingway, 2007). Crimmins and colleges in
their study results noted, on average, the onset for heart disease in men is around 50 to 70 years of age
and 73 years of age for women (Crimmins et al., 2008). There is also marked evidence that many

Analyse the impact Giovanni Falcone made against the Sicilian mafia:
Giovanni Falcone was born in Palermo, Sicily on May 18th, 1939. Falcone was born into a poor
neighbourhood. He grew up with children who would turn out to be Mafiosi in future as the area of
Sicily was flowing with mafia and ironically Falcone, being one of the largest figures to stand against
the mafia was also born where the original Sicily mafia was also first formed. Giovanni Falcone went
through school with good marks and after going through high school Falcone had a brief history of
learning at a naval academy before attending the University Of Palermo to study law. Falcone
graduated in 1961 and began to practice law, he then became a judge in 1966 on the coast of Sicily
that was heavily populated with Mafiosi. Falcone was shocked with the brutality of the mafia and the
belief of the people that the mob was invincible. Falcone believed with hard work and thorough
investigations that the mafia could be proven of their guilt. Giovanni Falcone s early life of seeing the
mafia first hand influenced him to stand against the mob and to stand for what is right in the eyes of

7. Succinate Dehydrogenase Lab
Introduction
In this Succinate Dehydrogenase (SDH) project, we were expected to learn the process of cell
fractionation, the importance of the Bradford assay, how enzymes work what factors affect them, how
to adequately micropipette, how to generate a proper hypothesis and test it, and finally, interpret our
results and write a conclusion which answers the central question of this lab: how will the assigned
reagent affect SDH activity?
The SDH project was completed over a span of three weeks, where we had a primary concentration
each week that revolved around a core principal of this project. In week two, which was the first week
of this project, we blended and centrifuged our cell fractions in order to isolate them, and then we used

absorbance. We graphed the results from the Bradford Assay on excel and created a linear standard
curve and equation for it, which was used to determine the protein concentration in our cellular
fractions. The data from the cellular fractions was used to discover the amount of specific SDH
activity in lysates. Furthermore, we also conducted the SDH assay in order to gain proper and
knowledgeable experience about how to assess SDH activity for our crude and mitochondrial cellular
fractions, and we also worked with enzymes to further learn about how they work and how they are
affected through various factors. The second week of this lab was rather heavy; it had many
components to it, each equally important for our end result and conclusion. The concentration in week
two was on the Bradford assay, which was imperative since it measured protein concentration, and
practicing with the SDH assay, which measured the activity of our crude and mitochondrial fractions,
and was therefore vital in the final week of the project.
During the final week of the project, we performed the SDH assay twice to test our hypothesis and
answer the primary question of this project: the impact of the assigned reagent (Malonate for us) on
SDH activity in our mitochondrial fraction. Week three s concentration was on correctly performing
the SDH assay twice in order to minimize human error, and to interpret our data for our lab

9. The Rise And Fall Of Italian Fascism
Introduction.
The rise and fall of Italian Fascism is important to the history of modern Italy because of its lasting
influence. It has shaped and affected many areas of Italian society, such as its economy, politics, and
social communication. Negative views toward the government and high levels of unemployment
preceding this time led to the rise in right wing politics and Fascism has made lasting impacts on the
right wing parties still in existence today. This literature review will discuss the rise and fall of fascism
in Italy through Adrian Lyttelton s The Seizure of Power; Fascism in Italy, 1919 1929, the radical right
wing as a consequence of fascism through Franco Farreresi s Threats to Democracy: The Radical
Right in Italy after the War, and the lasting impact of the fascist political era on contemporary Italian

Online shopping or online retailing is a form of electronic commerce whereby consumers directly buy
goods or services from a seller over the Internet without an intermediary service. An online shop,

analogy of buying products or services at a bricks and mortar retailer or shopping centre

3. Conclusion/ Recommendation
Based on the project leading individuals to reallocate their time and money resources, this study
examined the time and cost attributes of shopping modes, and explored the tradeoff between these two
attributes, i.e., the value of time, by assuming that consumers were faced with a shopping mode choice
between physical store shopping and e shopping. The final estimated value of time include two types:
the value of travel time to shopping places, physical stores as far as this study concerned, and the
value of waiting time for the delivery of purchased products.
Of course consumers concern toward e shopping is not only about time and cost. Some psychological
aspects, such as information uncertainty and transaction security, have been playing an important role
in dominating consumers e shopping behavior, and have been even more widely discussed in the
literature. However, ecommerce continues to advance, in speed and security in particular, it is
generally believed that online information will be to a great extent improving both in quantity and
quality in the near future. By that time, consumers negative perceptions towards e shopping, such as
information uncertainty and transaction security, may fade away. If this is going to be true, then
consumers psychological concern over e shopping may gradually be disappearing in the future.
On the other hand, the economic concern over the travel problem; i.e.,

Conformity is the act of changing behavior as a result of real or imagined group pressure. Everyone at
one point has experienced this type of pressure at one point in their life. I remember this one time
when I was confirmed into doing something because everyone was doing it. This happened back in
my high school years. There was a point in the eleventh grade that I felt kind of peer pressured into
skipping school. I never really had the urge to be a bad kid and go skipping. I actually loved coming to
school. I loved learning new things I was always that kind of person. But of course I started hanging
out with the wrong group of people. Which I never should have but I wanted to be so called cool. I
wanted and had the desire to fit in always, I always wanted acceptance and to be popular. I honestly
regret ever going skipping. It wasn t only once that it happened. It occurred multiple times until it got
out of hand and I was caught by my parents. I never heard the last of it from them even until this day I
still hear it. From that point on I was always brought to school; until the day I graduated. I regret these
poor decisions I made, I feel like if I wouldn t have done it I would have finished my schooling by

15. Western Religion Essay
Throughout this semester we focused on numerous different religious practices and traditions.
Focusing now on these new religious ideals and practices has provided many different suggestions
towards spirituality: Spirituality is personal, unique, self validating, authentic, and authoritative,
whereas religion is institutional, bureaucratic, social, inflexible hierarchical, and authoritarian
(Anderson and Young 295). Many of these new practices involve women, healing methods, and
alternative divine figures. Overall, it is a common theme from many of these spiritual practices to not
have a set textual religious book such as a Bible or Torah. In addition, they do not look up to a
spiritual figure, or have set rituals or practices: New Age ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In specific, with the Wiccan women: Wiccans are cautious about their relationships with others and
especially cognizant of their relationship with the earth (Anderson and Young 307). Along with this,
they believe: What you do, whether for good or for ill, returns to you (Anderson and Young 307). This
practice is stemmed from their Rule of Three. This rule is generalized as: being careful for the things
we wish for in life, as well as how actions can create consequences. These consequences in large can
create a chain reaction in consequences broadly on the world. Along with this, magic or magick is an
important aspect of Wiccans: Magic usually refers to the ability to affect the outcomes of events
through communal or individual thought and ritual action (Anderson and Young 309). In correlation to
the magic aspect of the Wiccan spirituality, many members call themselves witches. With this title,
many cast spells and use the magic to work through the conscience of members. However this specific
practice of spell work is not required. As many people believe magic to be a sinister act or something
out of a fictional story, that speculation can be reflected on to this Wiccan act: Magic is usually
contrasted with religion: magic is seen as a way of manipulating the universe by using specific spells,
whereas religion does not use the universe as ultimately manipulable in this way (Anderson and
Young 309). However the Wiccan s loophole to this statement refers to the fact that their magic is less
about manipulation and more about using the power to evoke positive changes to the world. This
magical practice gives rise and support to the enchanted world they believe to live in rather than the
cold world. Diving deeper into this spiritual practice brought some confusion and questionability to
mind. Although I believe there could be many

There is a critical situation that we are faced with today. We must dissect all the information and

situation, L.D. a 39 year old woman was admitted to the hospital and the health care provider noticed
that L.D. has a rare illness called Arteriovenous malformation (AVM). AVM is an abnormal
connection between arteries and veins bypassing the capillary system. They typically consist of two or
more feeding arteries, a knot of abnormal vessels referred to as the nidus , and one or more veins
(Machet, et al., 2012). The health care provider considered L.D. condition to be an emergency because

The problem with AVM is considered to be critical. The treatment goal was not clearly stated, but it
seems as if it is neurosurgical process that was preformed left her with severe neurological damage.
There are four treatment options that should be recommended to help with the patient current
condition, and these are microsurgical removal, endovascular embolization, intravascular embolization
and radiosurgical. In microsurgical removal, a microscope is used to assist the surgeon with removing
the AVM from surrounding brain tissue. Endovascular involve the doctor inserting a long, thin tube
into the patient leg artery and threads it through blood vessels to the patient brain using X ray imaging.
This tube allows the doctor to inject an embolizing agent, which may include a glue like substance or
other materials, to block the artery and reduce blood flow into the AVM. The radiosurgical procedure
includes the use of radiation to destroy the AVM (Rispoli, Di Chirico, Sibille, Carletti, 2013). Each of
these treatments should be carefully evaluated with a patient that is pregnant. Since L.D. has
hemorrhage on the brain, cerebral angiography should be performed because it can be safe for her
unborn child. Cerebral angiography reveals important details about the AVM such as location, size,
feeding arteries, and drainage. The fetus is rarely affected by the material that is used during testing if

Imagine building something in history that changed people s thoughts on war and weapons, that s
exactly what the atomic bomb did. The atomic bomb was made all over the United States with
thousands of fascinating technicians. The bomb changed many people s outlooks on the creation of
something as huge and powerful as this. The idea of creating such a powerful weapon came about
when Franklin D. Roosevelt received a letter from Albert Einstein and his Hungarian colleague, Leo
Szilard. This letter was to convince President Roosevelt that they needed to create an atomic bomb.

21. Shortest Life Expectancy
There are several factors that effect a person s life expectancy and where you live could put you more
at risk. One factor is physical environment. Some people are more likely than others to be exposed to
the potentially harmful effects of physical, chemical, and biological agents. Another factor is social
environment, which can effect a person depending on whether or not their environment is more
stressful than others. Differential susceptibility is another factor meaning that physical appearance or
height could gain you more benefits over a shorter person who is less attractive. A very important
factor is individual lifestyle. This includes a person s diet and physical activity and research shows

22. St. John s Wort Essay
It s hard for most of us to avoid a certain amount of stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue these days.
The pace of modern life, and all its excessive stimulation, takes a toll on our bodies and minds. When
we can t escape from it, many of us resort to harmful addictions or medications to help us through. In
the last couple of decades, though, certain natural (plant derived) substances have begun to garner
reputations for helping to give people an overall feeling of well being. St John s Wort is one notable
example of an herb used to treat depression. Another, which is more commonly associated with
combating anxiety and easing stress, is Kava. Kava is a relatively recent arrival on the shelves of
health stores. Requiring a warm and moist climate, the plant had previously been known only around
the South Pacific islands particularly, New Guinea, New Zealand, and Hawaii. There it was renowned
for promoting, in those who imbibed it, feelings of relaxation and contentment and, in large doses, of
intoxication. Many old native practices for the preparation of Kava involved chewing bits of the root
(where its active ingredients, known as kavalactones, chiefly reside) and spitting them out into a great
bowl. Once enough was accumulated, this pretty unappetizing mead was mixed with water or coconut
milk until desired strength was achieved. Probably few of us would be adventurous enough to sample
that original version of the drink, and chewing the root itself numbs one s

step forward into defeating American forces at Khe Sanh. The PAVN comprised a flexible mix of
guerrilla and conventional warfare battle tactics used by the Main Force of the People s Liberation

should consider the implications both for the protagonist s social milieu and for women in general at
this point in American history. The significance of Lily Bart s death. As a writer looking towards the
twentieth century Wharton faced the challenge of telling the history of women past the age of thirty.
The age of thirty was established as the threshold by nineteenth century conventions. The conventions
of girlhood and marriage ability; a psychological observation about the formation of the female

26. Music In American Schools
For most American children, music class was considered one of the most exciting times of the school
day. Music class was treated as a break from the normal curriculum of reading, math, science, and
social studies. Music has been included in most American schools for several decades. However, due
to budget cuts, our school district is eliminating the music program for the next school year. I feel that
cutting extracurricular activities, such as sports and music, would be detrimental to our students.
Students who are exposed to music develop many skills that can be used in their daily lives. Some of
these skills include self discipline, teamwork, and building self esteem. Music can also be a great
outlet for creativity and self expression. Among these acquired skills, one of the most important is the

27. A Short Note On Hydrogen Fuel Cell Plug
This report shows a comparison between hydrogen fuel cell plug in hybrid vehicles (FCHEV) and
battery (BEV) and hydrogen fuel cell (FCEV) electric vehicles. Comparing infrastructure and
technology requirements along with the lifecycle cost of the drivetrain (the main components that
generate power and deliver it to the road surface) over 100k miles taking fuel costs and capital costs
into consideration.
This can then be compared to a conventional petrol fuelled internal combustion engine (ICE)
drivetrain. A comprehensive sensitivity analysis shows that FCEVs could achieve lifecycle costs
similar to conventional petrol vehicles in the near future. However, both the BEV and FCHEV have
significantly lower lifecycle costs. Looking forward, the drivetrain lifecycle costs of FCEVs could
range from around £5000 to £15000, whereas those for BEVs range from £4300 to £7600 and
FCHEVs, from just under £3000 to £8400. All vehicle platforms exhibit significant cost sensitivity to
drivetrain capital cost. The BEV and FCHEV are relatively unaffected by electricity costs but the
FCHEV and FCV are affected by the cost of hydrogen. The BEV and FCHEV are alike in lifecycle
cost and one could offer an advantage over the other depending on driving patterns.
In conclusion, the hydrogen fuel cell plug in hybrid vehicle would be the best route towards future
development of the fuel cell electric vehicles.

September 22, 2014
The Importance of Perspectives in The Odyssey and The Penelopiad Margaret Atwood writes in her
novel The Penelopiad I ve chosen to give the telling of the story to Penelope and the twelve hanged
maids...which focus on two questions that must pose themselves after any close reading of The
Odyssey: what led to the hanging of the maids, and what was Penelope really up to? The Odyssey tells
the story of the long journey of Odysseus s return home to Ithaca after fighting in Troy for ten years,
in which he overcomes the Cyclops, enthralling enchantresses, alluring Sirens, the despondent
Underworld, and dangerous monsters. When he returns home he slaughters the Suitors courting his ...

Penelope wishes to change the way they are portrayed in history instead of being remembered as
deceptive traitors, she wants the Maids to be reminisced as the loyal servants that they truly were,
herself to be remembered as a more compassionate person, and Odysseus to have a slightly less
notable and more humble reputation.
Liu 2 Penelope tells the readers a version of events in which the maids were not deliberately being
rude to Telemachus and Odysseus, and would have behaved differently if they had known more, trying
to change the opinion of the maids from how they are portrayed in The Odyssey. In The Odyssey,
Homer portrays the maids as disloyal and faithless betrayers of Penelope and Odysseus. Melantho,
one of the maids, is portrayed in this way: Flushed with beauty, Melantho mocked him shamelessly...
her heart felt nothing for her mistress anguish now. she was Eurymachus lover, always slept with him.
She was the one who mocked her king and taunted... (Fagles 386) Even though Penelope treats them
very lovingly, the Maids feel nothing for the sorrow that Penelope feels about Odysseus s absence, and
are always sleeping with the Suitors, mocking and taunting their king. The only reason that the maids
behave rather rudely to Odysseus and Telemachus is because they are doing as they are told, as
Penelope narrates, Unfortunately I could not tell my twelve maids who he really was, so they
continued their rudeness to Telemachus, and joined the Suitors in their

29. A Clean, Well Lighted Place By Ernest Hemingway
Ernest Hemingway developed his own style of writing and follows it in A Clean, Well Lighted Place .
Hemingway s elegance in writing is such that he indirectly gives all of the information to the reader
without making any judgment; thus allowing one to create an opinion about every minute detail of the
story. Hemingway illustrates his foundations of writing in A Clean, Well Lighted Place by providing
small clues that provide an indirect view of the larger meaning.
Hemingway illustrates one of his elements of writing, omission, by providing two waiters and their
exchange of speech and actions with each other and their customer, the old man. By doing so, he
provides all of the information for readers to create an assumption about the individual s traits; the
saintly and even wicked. In the story we are given a scene with the old drunken man and the younger
waiter. The old man asks for another brandy while pointing to his empty glass. The younger of the two
waiters brashly began his dialogue with Finished, he said, speaking with that omission of syntax
stupid people employ when talking to drunken people or foreigners. No more tonight. Close now.
Another, said the old man. No. Finished. The waiter wiped the edge of the table with a towel and
shook his head. The old man stands to leave, counts his tab, pays for his brandy, even leaves a tip for
the waiters, and then begins to walk away with dignity even for his drunken stupor. (153 154) In this
passage the reader is

amount of salt that is in the sweat. Doctors will trigger the sweat on a small patch of skin on the arm

many treatments that a doctor can do to help lessen the symptoms of CF, but at this point there is no
treatment that can cure you from CF. The sooner you catch these symptoms and try to counteract them
with treatments the better off you are. Newborn screening helps with early diagnosis. There s
medications such as antibiotics that treat and prevent lung infections. Doctors also use anti
inflammatory medications to lessen swellness for airways to the lungs. Patients diagnosed with CF can

33. Lab Report On The Ph Of The Potential Hydrogen Ion...
Chapter 7 Lab Report
Background Research pH is a measure of the potential hydrogen ion concentration of a solution.
Solutions that have low pH s or a ph level below 7 are considered acidic. Solutions that have a high
pH level or above 7 are considered basic. The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a solution may
be. Some examples of solutions that have high acidity and a low pH level are Battery acid, lemon
juice, and vinegar. Some solutions that are basic and a high pH level are soapy water, baking soda, and
drain cleaner. Temperature plays a role on how high or low a solutions pH level is. For example, the
colder the solution the less acidic it would be therefore it would have a high pH level. For warmer
solutions there would be a lower pH level and high acidity. Some interesting facts are when swimming
if a pool has a high or low pH level you could get dry skin and burning eyes. Another interesting fact
is that ph is important in many things such as medicine, biology, chemistry, food, science and many
more. Orange juice pH ranges from 3.3 to 4.19, but generally around 3.5. Citric acid is what gives the
orange its acidity, and also its sour flavor. This means that it has a high to moderately high acidity.

Through the reading of Temples and Ceremonies we are informed that all people engage in sacrifice.
In fact All people engaged in auto sacrifice at some point in their lives, usually to petition the gods for

committing acts of sacrifice in order to fill obligations for their well being we can deduce that since all
people engaged in...sacrifice (MAI, 77) that people within the Aztec society viewed sacrifice as a duty

Ancestors carrying out sky watching, prayer, ceremonies, and ritual sacrifices to their gods. (Carrasco,

The misrepresentation of minorities for the sake of the mainstream film industry has existed since the

football star. In Paul s mind, he is the person that is not blind, he can see things his parents could not.
In the book Tangerine by Edward Bloor, Bloor strategically uses suspense and foreshadowing to
portray the theme of standing up to fear. First of all, Bloor uses suspense to display fear, as in page
168, I could see Erik lurking behind me, in the shadows of the imaginary clock. Erik is like a shadow
behind Paul, always ready to jump him. This line is full of suspense, as the meaning is not entirely
clear. It can be interpreted in many ways, however, all of it will eventually unravel and explain the
mystery behind it all. Another quote is on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The quote Joey stared him down. No, I don t have a problem with that. I guess I got a problem with
you. This quote on page 158 talks about Joey, one of Paul s friends, talking to Tino, another one of
Paul s friends. The two do not get along very well, and all this builds up to a fight between them.
These examples of foreshadowing can be seen throughout the story. On page 258, a quote states Tino
crossed the floor and walked up to Erik. Which would mean that Tino is confronting Erik, which
builds up a lot of tension. Another quote on page 214 says Erik, you ll need to give me your key...I got
it in my locker at school, I keep a lot of my stuff there. This quote is about Erik talking to Paul s mom
about a key. Erik has his key in the locker, which makes Erik look suspicious. Leaving his key in the
locker may seem like Erik trying to hide something from Paul s

Billfish
The general term billfish describes a number of species of long, predatory fish characterized by long,
sword like bills. It includes sailfish and swordfish. They are generally exploited for both food and
game. Swordfish, in particular, are prized for their firm, tasty flesh. While the long beaks have been
observed in anger to spear objects such as small boats, their main function is to stun prey.
Different Lures For Blue Marlin
Artificial lures, live and natural bait have all been successfully employed to capture the blue marlin.
The most popular technique seems to be artificial lure fishing, which was developed in Hawaii.
Among the earliest artificial lures were chrome towel rails tied with strips of rubber taken from inner
tubes. Four or more such lures are fastened together and trolled behind boats at speeds of between 7
and 15 knots.

42. The Role Of Homeland Security From The United States...
The role of Homeland Security originated from the Founding Fathers, under the United States
Constitution, that created a system and gave the primary role of homeland security to state and local
governments (Oliver, 2007). When state and local governments became overwhelmed and could no
longer effectively deal with a crisis then homeland security government would assist those
governments (Oliver, 2007). The relationship was created through the United States Constitution in
Article 4, Section 4, which declared that the United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union
a Republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application
of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic
violence (U.S. Constitution, 2015) (Oliver, 2007). President John F. Kennedy was elected 1961, and
made it a priority to necessitate organizational changes with homeland security (Oliver, 2007).
President John F. Kennedy felt that local governments were doing little if anything to prepare for
natural disasters and civil defense (Oliver, 2007). This became a priority for the Kennedy
administration, and the office of civil and Defense mobilization was split into two agencies that
became known as the Office of Emergency Planning and the Office of Civil Defense (Oliver, 2007).
President Carter, President Clinton, and President George W. Bush all made additional organizational
changes that resulted in the

The Writing Process After examining Shitty First Drafts , by Anne Lamott, and Write before Writing ,
by Donald M. Murray, each writing process has some good prospects. Anne Lamott is a little crazy,
but passionate writer that can really surprize you. In Anne Lamott s article Shitty First Drafts , she
believes that any writer should write a shitty first draft, and that s how anyone ends up with a better
second draft and a terrific third draft .Lamott declares in order to be good, the writer needs to first
allow for the words and ideas to come flowing out without restriction. Donald M. Murray, an English
Professor, that has a different writing process, wrote an article Write before Writing . He explains,

craziness out on that paper.
Students don t always know what they are going to write about right away while writing an article or
essay, some people just need to give it time. Donald M. Murray claims in his article in Write Before
Writing , students should be told of the importance of prewriting. To do so students have to understand
the write before writing. Murray list 4 strategies in writing, there is Resistance, force, rehearsal for

44. Writing Your Cover Letter
Writing Your Cover Letter: What Important Points Are You Missing?
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), every resume that you submit to a potential
employer needs a cover letter. The purpose of the cover letter is to arouse interest and highlight core
competencies. Below explains
Separate your Resume and Cover Letter
One of the most common mistakes that job seekers make is to simply summarize their resume in their
cover letter. However, the primary purpose of the cover letter is to express your interest and particular
interest in the specific position. Therefore, use the cover letter as an opportunities to express your
personality and share your passion for your industry. For example, you could share examples from
your personal and work life that highlight your passion for the position and industry.
Proofread for Perfection ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, a well written cover letter doesn t mean that content is engaging and even interesting.
Proofread for content quality to ensure that your cover letter smoothly flows. If possible, read the
cover letter out loud and logically analyze how it sounds. Does it make you sound intelligent and
professional, or does it ramble on with unnecessary information? If possible, have others proofread
your cover letter and provide feedback.
Be Professional, yet Personal
Cover letters must follow the standard business format, which includes proper salutation, opening,
body and closing. However, the cover letter is one of the best ways to sell yourself through
highlighting not only your qualifications, but your unique, pleasant personality. Keep in mind that HR
professionals will only spend a few seconds skimming through your personality, so it s better to be
honest and engaging, then stiffly formal. That is, reveal how passionate and upbeat you are, while
maintaining a professional tone.

45. A Very Brief Look at Ireland
An old myth claims that St.Patrick used his to scare all the snakes into sea. Therefore, there are no
snakes in Ireland. Ireland gained it s independence from Great Britain in 1937. The head of Ireland is
still under Britain s command. Before Ireland became a country, Ireland was covered in ice and snow,
during the the Last Glacial Maximum. The Last Glacial Maximum is the era when ice covered
northern Europe, Asia, and America, which was about 20,000 years ago. Ireland is the sixth richest
country in the world, which is surprising because it is mostly farm land.
Around 600 and 800 B.C. Celtic tribes began to settle on Ireland. Around the 12th century Britain took
the Irish s independence. During the potato famine, in the 1840s, farmers dug up potatoes then a day
after the potatoes became slimy, blackish, mass of rottenness . About 1 1/4 million Irish left their
homes. They took ships Canada and America hoping for a better life.
On 1916, Easter Monday, Ireland started a Rebellion. The IRA , Irish Republican Army, fought Britain
for five years to win independence for 26 southern counties. The other 6 counties are still under
Britain s control. This lead to the Troubles in the 1960 s which were acts of violence on the United
Kingdom Army. The United Kingdom, United States, and Ireland was a part of a process that helped
traders and sellers which is know as The Good Friday Agreement in 1988, in Northern Ireland. In
1990, Mary Robinson changed Ireland s history by

46. Theme Of Tragedy In Shakespeare s King Lear
Tragedy is one of the most common topics throughout literature. This theme can be found in many
works of literature spanning from Biblical archives to more recent works in Blockbuster movies, and
is commonly found in almost all societies today. The theme of tragedy is so universal that it is found
in many of Shakespeare s plays and poems (e.g. Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and plenty of other
works). In specific, tragedy is found in one of William Shakespeare s most popular plays named King
Lear. King Lear was a tragedy that focused a lot on betrayal, however the play has plenty more
important elements that define the play. There of the most noteworthy aspects that make up the play
King Lear are: 1. The influence of many deaths in William ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The death of his son probably influence the play to be more orientated around relationships between
parent and child. In fact, Shakespeare wrote many plays (like Hamlet) around the time that his son
died, and they had much to do with family and relationships between parent/child. Not only was the
death of Shakespeare s son a huge event in his life (creating influence on the play King Lear), but the
death of his father and sister were also very important when it came to playwriting King Lear. Child
mortality was so common when Shakespeare was young that one out of three children would die by
the age of ten (Greenblatt). Shakespeare was only fourteen when his seven year old sister, Anne,
passed away due to probably disease (Greenblatt). Seeing death among younger children was common
and Shakespeare must have witnessed more tragedies in his youth (Greenblatt). This event of his
younger sister dying, like many other children in Europe, must of had a profound effect of
Shakespeare. The death of his younger sister probably had some psychological effects on Shakespeare
along with a possible desensitization of death. It is predicted that William Shakespeare was influenced
by his father s death. William s father, John Shakespeare, was a leatherworker back in his day. John
eventually moved up in socio economic status and became a town bailiff(Folger Shakespeare Library).

47. The Origin Of Modern Human Behavior
The origin of modern human behavior is a subject in anthropology that accumulates much debate.
Cognition is the dominant factor in such behavior, therefore raises the question, when did this
separation of intelligent or modern thought from the primitive come to daily behavior for our genus?
There are two such answers that hold experts in the field captive in debate: the rapid imagination
revolution in the European centrailized Upper Paleolithic, and the steadiness of cognitive growth
provided first in Africa during the Middle Paleolithic. Although each argument provides supportive
evidence for their perspective claims, the more naturally convincing shows this creative revolution
taking place much earlier than the Upper Paleolithic. This explanations human cognition developing
with no brisk advantageous revolutionary response, and instead by gradual means. This
metamorphosis follows the pattern of biological human evolution. My argument combats the
imagination revolution claim to the origins of creativity using specific artifacts dated earlier than those
of European restrictions. Furthermore, it is the lack of excavation in Africa and the conditions of the
terrain itself that pose problematic preservation of artifacts, unlike in Europe, to exonerate this
innovative exclusivity. These pieces of evidence in Africa exemplify a higher process of thinking,
commonly those showing deliberate means of bead and rock art used for both personal functions of
