Characteristics Of Jack Ma
Part 1 Give examples based on the specific Graduate Attributes that applies to the prominent
personality of choice.
Jack Ma is no doubt an extremely successful entrepreneur in the world of the entrepreneur and his
journey has never been a bed of roses. As the Chinese saying goes one minute on stage required whole
ten years of practice down the stage which in other words mean that the public may have seen the
Brightside of the successful entrepreneurs, however, they will never know what the entrepreneurs
have gone through in the past in order to get to this point of their life. Jack Ma s personality and the
way of living demonstrate and reflects some of the graduate attributes which our University UCSI

The lively characteristic of Jack is considerably one of the contributing factor to his strong leadership
skills. As a partial motivational speaker, Jack is often known for giving speeches which has the ability
to impel his employees. He also encourages his employees to take risks and told them that he will
forgives those who make any mistakes, however, he will not be forgiving towards individuals who do
not do anything. Jack Ma would have never been able to convince his team of employees to work
towards their common vision stating that someday they will be competitive and great enough to
compete against big corporation like eBay if he does not have notable leadership skills and the ability
to speak well to inspire and motivate his team. Jack Ma s definition of quality leader does not stress
about having technical skills, however, the most critical part is his vision, capability as well as
tenacity. The traits or characteristic in which he strongly believes that a great leader shall possess are;
be visionary and have more prudence than an employee, to own higher grit and persistence and have
the ability and willingness to endure the can t of the employees and thirdly, should have great
endurance and acceptance ability as well as to be able to embrace mistake or

Compare And Contrast Stephen King And The Shawshank...
There are times when The Shawshank Redemption comes dangerously close to sounding one of those
triumph of the spirit notes. But most of it is eloquently restrained. [23 Sept 1994, p.C3] New York
Times. The Shawshank Redemption started out as a novel written by Stephen King and has eventually
become a movie. Although both platforms are both great variations of the story, the two are very
different. The written work of the Shawshank Redemption does not include specific characters that are
in the movie, the plot line in the movie slightly varies from the book and many elements are changed
in the movie.
In both stories, characters play a very important role. They create dialogue, they come face to face
with conflict and they are the main aspects of a story. There are many characters in Shawshank. The
two main characters or the protagonists are Red and Andy. Andy is described in the book as a short
Caucasian male. In the book Andy is described as a 6 5 Caucasian male, a lot taller than described in
the book. Andy also is written out to have a cellmate for 8 months inside the book whereas, in the
movie Andy is alone. The other main character is Red. Red is described in the book as being an Irish
cold hearted, mototone, male. He has bright red hair and pale white skin. In the book, Red is described
as an African American who jokes that he is Irish. It is unknown if he is serious or not. In the novella,
Red s crime is revealed, whereas in the film it is ultimately

Nursing jobs in Australia used to be open to almost all foreigners, but due to the recent changes in
Australian nursing registration criteria, the opportunity has become out of reach for nurses in certain
countries.
Nurses can t enter the Australian Nursing Register (AHPRA) if:
Their qualifications are below a bachelor degree level
Their qualifications were required from countries listed as unlikely to meet eligibility criteria
There are 56 unfortunate countries who made the list, including Switzerland, Germany, Saudi Arabia,
Japan, France, China and Brazil.
Nurses with such qualifications would likely fail the skills assessment needed to apply for an
Employer Sponsored Visa and/or a Skilled Migrant Visa. They are advised to upgrade their nursing

Tesco Net Profit Analysis
3.2.2 Net profit margin comparison
Net profit margin is a commonly used profitability measurement tool which assesses firm s net profit
by comparing to its sales revenue. It is quite an appropriate measure of a firm s profitability position
because it considers the net income after tax rather the gross income (Bryman, 2008). Net profit
margin of both J Sainsbury Plc and its comparable firm Tesco Plc is given in the following table:
Table 1: Net profit margin of J Sainsbury Plc. Tesco Plc. from 2013 to 2015
Net profit margin 2013 2014 2015
Sainsbury 0.0037849 0.0421312 0.03407
Tesco 0.037567 0.0413959 0.929934 The overall Sainsbury s net profit margin changed a lot with a
huge drop in 2015 on 0.0034069. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However back then the ratios of the two companies were comparable but their gap turned massive as
Tesco hit an extreme low in 2015 with a negative ratio of 0.092993385 where Tesco generated an
operating loss twice as large as the operating profit it made in 2014. One of the main circumstances
leading to this loss making Tesco is the £263m accounting scandal that hit the supermarket last year
(Neville, 2015). As a result many costs have hit Tesco s profits turning it into a loss such as
restructuring costs including redundancy and compensation costs related to changes in store colleague
working arrangements in the UK, Europe and Asia, redundancy costs relating to Head Office
restructures across the Group, and the redundancy cost of store closures in the UK. £266m has been
recognized in costs of sales and £150m within administrative expenses. (Tesco, 2015)
J Sainsbury Plc is in a stable position and it is in better position in all the three years than the net profit
margin of Tesco. This is the consequence of better implementation and introduction of higher quality
products in their sales mix.

1. How is the discovery of beer linked to the growth of the first civilizations ?
The discovery of beer is linked to the growth of the first civilizations because it came into existence
during time when people were switching from nomadic to settled lifestyles, giving them the

Fairies of the Heart are All Around Us Essay
Love is always around us. In a cold world there are fairies that represent our hearts and the love we

Dbq Essay On The Colony Of John Winthrop
When starting a new colony, John Winthrop had a perfect utopia set up in his mind. Everyone would
get along with each other, everyone would be compassionate and helpful to everyone in the
community, and most of all, they would be a society based on relations and not God. Winthrop
realizes the various social classes people fit into, but he hopes that his city upon a hill will unite
everyone and make them all equal, regardless of social status. He hopes that the people who are in the
colony are good people, who will help anyone who needs it, when they need it. Last of all, he hopes
that the colony will keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace in order to become the city upon a
hill that he wants to be. In order to do this, God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Document D follows a small section of Anne Hutchinson s trial where Winthrop himself is,
essentially, arguing with someone about a rumored rule breaking. This goes against his vision of
complete peace with others within the colony. This excerpt shows that the community would accept
everyone, but in the case of Hutchinson, they are pushing her away and trying to kick her out of the
colony because she is supposedly pushing her limits of freedom. This goes to show that even the
person who has the vision of the society will still push people around because they don t follow the
exact rules of freedom that are put into place. The fact that someone is still praying to God, and that
even the person who s vision it was to be a city upon a hill is going against his vision shows that the
colony is still far from achieving Winthrop s vision. The two documents are useful in the sense that
they delve further into a specific part of the society. The poem by Anne Bradstreet is vague because it
doesn t really talk much about the society as a whole, but of her own relation in the society. The
excerpt between Hutchinson and Winthrop shows the court written exchange, and could help prove
that the society isn t the exact vision of the society because Winthrop is clearly challenging

Online Education Vs Traditional Education
Online Education Vs Traditional Education
In the present world, there are a lot of options for a student to choose for his education. Each and
every student learning technique are different and learn differently and in today s world of increasing
technology, the question will be whether to offer classes or take up classes online, but rather how to
implement them effectively and efficiently. Hence a student must have to weigh a huge list of pros and
cons before they choose one of the two options, since the means of education for these are different.
Students have an opportunity to plan their own study time, if they choose online classes instead of
other way round where the university will decide the class time or lecture time. Online classes can be
taken at their own pace, sitting at their own home or at any place they feel comfortable, on the
contrary students should physically attend classes as per the time prescribed by the professor, live near
to the campus. In the online classes there is more flexibility than traditional classroom because you
can do your coursework any time of the day or night without having a set schedule when you have to
do your coursework. There are so many people that are choosing to further their education by taking
online courses instead of traditional classroom because of their busy work schedules. Professors

The Death of Emmett Till
There are several views of the murder of Emmett Till regarding the topic of whether or not he received
justice. Emmett Till, a fourteen year old boy, was murdered purely based on racism, because he was
killed for wolf whistling at a white woman in August 1955. He was brutally murdered after being
nearly beaten to death and having his eyes gouged out. When Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam, two people
involved in Till s manslaughter, were placed on trial for his murder, they were pronounced innocent
and did not receive any punishment. After being tortured and savagely killed, no one was held
responsible for Emmett Till s death. Emmett Till did not receive justice after his death.
Emmett Till did not receive justice, because from his death and throughout his trial, everything was
based upon racism. Till s case was examined in court by an all white jury, who had most likely made
up their minds before the trial had even started. According to The death of Emmett Till , On
September 23, the all white jury deliberated for less than an hour before issuing a verdict of not guilty,
... ( Death 2) That is an extremely short time for a jury to deliberate, and it leads to questions of
whether or not the jury truly deliberated, or if it was a cold case of a black boy being punished for
flirting with a white woman. The courthouse in which Emmett Till s murder trial took place was also
segregated, showing that the defendant s guilt of murdering a black person was being deliberated in

The American Dream By Mike Keefe
The American dream is the belief that anyone that lives or that comes to America has the chance to be
rich if they work hard enough. However American dream an unattainable dream because it never
existed. Mike Keefe an American editorial cartoonist of American Pipe Dream uses numerous
techniques to convey the message that the American dream is an optical illusion. In reality most
American live with student loans that they cannot pay because they of under employment, which
causes them credit card debt. Techniques such as the position of people and objects, race and facial
expression are used to show the American dream is mirage.
America is known as the land of freedom and opportunity. A country where a person s background
race, religion and gender does not affect a person s dream. In whatever way this American dream is
dead in fact it never existed. The text at the left corner has a precise description of what the American
dream truly is, The American pipe dream with attached mirage. Americans have to get an overpriced
education, have huge school loans, get underpaying jobs, which will cause them to have credit card
debt, which will take their rest of their life to fix. This means they can not buy house, cars or anything
because in America a person s credit score determines whether that person will get anything in life.
Even with all of these obstacles Americans are told to achieve a dream that is an illusion created by

Analysis Of Octavia Butler s Science Fiction Classic
Bloodchild Analysis Octavia Butler s science fiction classic Bloodchild is the coming of age story told
from the point of view of Gan. The story takes place on an alien planet the very night that Gan
becomes a man. One might expect a highly masculine, ritualistic ceremony or event, but Butler turns
the tables. In order to become a man Gan must be impregnated by an insectoid like alien named T
Gatoi. Cages have often been symbolic in literature as a means of subjugation, the cages in Bloodchild
are imperative to the story in the same way. Through the explicit use of imagery, metaphor, prose and
irony, Butler creates a story reflective of the sufferings of American Slavery, of life as an African
American woman and causes the reader to reevaluate the way they treat others. Bloodchild has won
multiple awards including the Nebula and Hugo Awards and an award for best science fiction
novelette from the Science Fiction Chronicle (Heifitz). Butler gains literary notability by creating a
work so horrifyingly believable, that is reflective of slavery and discrimination, it is a powerful story
that pushes the reader to thoughts and ideas that might not have otherwise been explored. Similar to
how some African American slaves accepted their treatment, Gan accepts the cages. The first three
mentions of cages come at the beginning of the tale. T Gatoi enters Gan s home, offering gifts. She
and Gan embrace and Gan notices that this action made the others feel caged (Butler 3).

Essay about The Use of Performance Enhancing Drugs
I started taking anabolic steroids in 1969 and never stopped. It was addicting, mentally addicting. Now

Lyle Alzado, American footballer. This is just one of many athletes who have took performance
enhancing drugs in the past and have lived to regret it. Never before has there been so much help for

The mortality rate for steroid users is 12.9 percent compared to the mortality rate of tobacco smokers
which is roughly six million per year. This shows that tobacco is more dangerous and is the cause of
more deaths yet it is legalised. So, making performance enhancing drugs would make little difference
as its mortality rate is so low. Athletes already endanger themselves by adjusting diets and going
through intense training programmes. This has resulted in professional athletes having a life
expectancy of 77.2 years. This is lower than the average persons life expectancy of 83 years old. This
shows that athletes are already taking harmful risks. Many people who want performance enhancing
drugs legalised argue that sports is not currently based on natural ability. New technology, dieting,
sports drinks and equipment is already pushing athletes past their natural ability. Those who can
receive the best will receive the best results. For example, during the 2008 Olympics numerous
swimmers wore Speedos LZR Racer swimwear. Swimmers wearing this swimwear received 90% of
the medals. Since this swimwear has been released to athletes twenty three world records have been
broken. This shows how high tech swimwear is an example of a performance enhancer. This suggests
that it is already not based on natural ability. Many people who want performance enhancing drugs
legalised argue that sport is

The two winters before referral
[, when the boy was three,] the patient complained of fatigue and apathy from October onward. He
had been easily irritated, suffered from anxiety, and avoided his friends. He had needed more sleep
than previously and have been difficult to awaken in the morning. His teachers described him as
dreamy and absent minded during the winter but energetic during the summer (Ybe Meesters, 1998)
The symptoms of the boy were published, and struck a chord with the psychological community. Not
only were they consistent with Rosenthal s findings, but also their detailed description allowed for a
greater amount of patients to identify with the disease, thus making SAD a clear and applicable
diagnosis.
After Meesters modified Rosenthal s definition, it was possible to diagnose correctly many more
patients under the umbrella of SAD. Thus, as greater numbers of people were diagnosed, observed
trends began to develop. Three in particular were noticed early on, and continue to prove true today.
They included an overall lower rate of SAD in children compared to the general population, an
increasing diagnosis rate in adolescents, and a much higher rate in adult females versus males. One
study that became instrumental in establishing concrete evidence for the rates in children and
adolescents was conducted after the inherent trends were noticed throughout the general population.

Why Fingerprint Analysis Is Used For The Sake Of Forensic...
Introduction
Friction ridge analysis, or fingerprint analysis has been used for the sake of forensic analysis for over
100 years, and has perpetually been considered the most reliable technique of analysis. However, in
recent years, its reliability has begun to crumble due to certain standards set in the United States of
America. In this essay, fingerprint analysis will be briefly described, along with the framework of
ACE V in which analysts work from looking primarily at its weaknesses and criticisms. The Daubert
standard will be outlined and a how a primary assumption of fingerprint analysis violates a number of
these standards. Also, to further strengthen the case as to why fingerprint analysis should not be

Every single ridge has a row of sweat pores. When sweat seeps out of these pores, it runs over the
ridges. Thus, when a finger, palm, or foot touches a surface, an impression is made which in technical
terms is known as a latent print. However, when a print is collected from a police station directly from
the source, this is known as an exemplar print (Haber and Haber, 2008; Creswell, 2015). The science
of fingerprint analysis rests on three, recently, controversial assumptions: Firstly, the ridge patterns
never change during the life of a person; secondly, no two individuals will have the same ridge
patterns; lastly, the transferability of an impression of that uniqueness to another surface. (Gianelli,
2006). This allowed for fingerprint analysts to form a procedure which other experts around the world
are invited to use, known as ACE V.
ACE V
ACE V which is an acronym which stands for Analysis in which analysts categorise certain features of
the print. Comparison where the latent print is compared to the known print of a suspect. Evaluation is
the stage in which the examiner is expected to make an inference as to whether the latent print
matches the print of the suspect or not. Finally, the process of Verification whereby, the analyst sends
their data to another expert to confirm their inference (Lawless, 2009). While this loose methodology
has been used seemingly successfully over the years, levels of

Hero s, Anti Hero, And Making Order

Introduction to Mythology book, it gives a multitude of examples that describes both Heracles and
Dionysus as Hero s, Anti Hero s, as well as, helps portray how they make order in the world. Heracles
and Dionysus are illegitimate sons of the Greek god Zeus who both eventually achieve divine status,
albeit through two completely different paths. Heracles or more commonly known by the Romans as

persecutes him throughout his journey, and brings anti hero moments to his legacy. These stories also
confirm the true hero status he earns by completing the twelve labors and becoming a symbol for
humanity. Heracles had a broad range of personalities. He was taught chariot driving, wrestling,
archery, fencing, and lyre playing at an early age. He famously donned the skin of the lion he killed at
Nemea, and frequently walked around with his symbolic large club that was noted throughout his
many journeys. He was the benefactor of the people and showed it by freeing Prometheus, becoming a
military patron to the ephebes, founding the Olympic games with his earnings, and being a guardian to
his community. He was powerful and at times a savage warrior. Sometimes he could be brutal and cut
off the ears, noses, and hands of people like he did to the extorting Minyans. Other times, he was what
writers like Aristophanes portrayed him to be; obsessed with food and an excessive drunk. At the very
least, he could be a violent man. He was known to have a bad temper but for the most part he used his

Symbolism In Wonder Woman
Armed with her bulletproof bracelets and magic lasso, Wonder Woman is a popular icon of female
strength in a universe of male superheroes. Going through her history however, shows that she depicts
a complicated heroine who is more than just a female comic book character. Wonder Woman was
created by William Moulton Marston, who was a psychologist and a lawyer, and believed that women
s capacity for love, nurture, and self sacrifice would make them better leaders than men. He created

Nevertheless, Wonder Woman s costume has got multiple meanings and symbolisms. In the 70s,
women activists had protested against the oppressive nature of sexist beauty and fashion standards.
Wonder Woman s bathing suit symbolized the objectification of women for male viewers at the Miss
America Pageant. The symbolic contrast between the Pageant and her costume has been apparent in
both comic books and the TV series. It has been referred by Wonder Woman as the garb of justice .
(Ball, 2016) While the outside world judges her for the way she dresses, Diana is surprised at their
reaction and has commented on it, both in the comics and in the animated series Justice League . She
promoted the feminist argument that women s modesty should not be reduced to standards of dress.
The Amazons did not see a need to cover a woman s body completely in order for them to be
respected. To judge a woman by the male defined sense of modesty seemed unreasonable. Lynda
Carter, the actress who played Wonder Woman in the CBS s series which lasted for three seasons,
quoted in the US magazine that she hated the way men looked at her in this role, and that she never

The Effect Of Outrigger Truss On Composite High Rise...
Study on Effectiveness of Outrigger Truss in Composite High Rise Buildings by Simplified Method
Ei Ei Khine Ph.D Candidate, Department of Civil Engineering, Yangon Technological University,
Yangon, Republic of the Union of Myanmar eekmayday83@gmail.com Abstract The design of tall
and slender structures is controlled by three governing factors, strength (material capacity), stiffness
(drift) and serviceability (motion perception and accelerations), produced by the action of lateral
loading, such as wind and earthquake. Outrigger systems are generally very effective in fulfilling the
serviceability requirements of tall buildings. This research conducted a study on effectiveness of
outrigger truss by simplified method to introduce the normal buildings that can be minimized the
deflection as the buildings with outrigger. Two and three outrigger levels are used in 40 and 50 storey
square shape buildings respectively. From this result, the engineers can run the buildings without
using outrigger to get the minimum deflection as the buildings with outrigger but the base shear is
larger than outrigger buildings significantly. Therefore, for the proposed buildings to get minimum
deflection, the outrigger is more effective than simplified method.

The Impact Of The British Revolution In Colonial America
Following the French and Indian War, Great Britain began to tighten control over the American
colonies. Britain constricted the rights of the colonists by enacting numerous pieces of legislation.
Some of these acts attempted to tax the colonists on products such as stamps, tea, and currency. After
which, what legislature was passed by the British Parliament, resistance from the American colonists
grew due to these policies of legislation. Changes in British policy in the 1770s, led to a revolution in
colonial America evident in political, economic, and social issues. The Revolutionary War was caused
by the British Parliament, one is because of the political issues. For example, on January 14, 1776,
George Greenville explained that Britain had the supreme legislative power over America (Document
1). According to Greenville, Britain had this supreme legislative power because Parliament had
provided the colonists with much of their needs (Document 1). Greenville continued that this was why
British Parliament believed they had the power to impose taxes on the American colonies (Document
1). As a member of British Parliament, Greenville believed that America should obey Britain because
of the protection the British provide to the colonies (Document 1). Some of the protection the British
provided was military protection from the Indians (Document 1). Greenville s statement proved that
Britain believed they were politically superior of the American colonists. George Washington,

Research Paper
Chicago has a history steeped in growth of infrastructure, devastating natural disasters, and everything
in between. It first was settled in the late 1700 s and has been growing exponentially ever since. It s a
city of commerce and opportunity for many incoming immigrants and settlers to start a fresh life. This
place became one of the most desirable cities in America to live and became the new home for many
people from the south, including African Americans. Many European immigrants also tagged along
with these black people coming from the southern states and made Chicago very culturally diverse
over time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Negro residents were often molested by whites and some whites ended up even putting warning signs
in the neighborhoods with pictures of skulls, crossbones, and coffins. It was a long process for many
urban whites, European immigrants, and blacks to coexist. However, it was such a unique situation
that Chicago had never seen before, thus making this city one of the most fascinating and diverse
group of cultures in America. The state of Illinois has had some of the most recognized and respected
Democratic politicians in American history. In 1955, Richard J. Daley became mayor until his death in
1976. According to author Adam Cohen, he was the most powerful local politician America has ever
produced. Under his reign, the city s black population was reaching record levels, as trainloads of
blacks fled their hard lives in the rural south for the promise of a better life in northern cities. It was
pretty clear that Chicago under Daley became America s major northern rights battleground. At the
time of Daley s inauguration in 1955, Chicago was spiraling downward. According to Cohen, Chicago
s 1950 population of 3,620,962 turned out to be the high water mark meaning the city would steadily
lose inhabitants. Chicago was losing not only people, but jobs, to the rapidly growing Cook County
suburbs. Before Daley s time as mayor, the city lost 53,209 manufacturing jobs, while the rest of the

What Does It Mean To Say That Art Is A Lie
Pablo Picasso once said Art is a lie that brings us closer to the truth . From this statement a lot can be
interpreted leading to different ideas and I think most prominent is the relationship between art, the
truth and lies. Pablo Picasso makes two assumptions in his assertion, the first concerning the first
section which addresses the fact that art is a lie. The second assumption is made whereby art is given a
purpose brings us closer to the truth which creates a paradox that truth can develop and exist in a lie.
Furthermore his statement of the two contradictory suggestions leads us to understand that art is a
representation of the truth or truths and reality which are perceived by humans as lies. Art is a wide
and broad Area of Knowledge that incorporates a lot of art forms and a form that has dominated our
modern times is film. Taking this into account, Picasso s statement will be analyzed in relation to film

extent does context affect our understanding of Knowledge? A very good example that reinforces this

Hence, China, Japan, and Russia have a greater percentage while Russia have a lower percentage than
the ideal VALUE. To scale these number as a percentage of the ideal we divided the value of each
option by the ideal value as it shown below in figure 3.
Ideal Option Percentage
1.48 Japan 1.08 1.8/1.48= 1.22 2 (1.22) = 0.78
1.48 China 2.0 2.0/1.48= 1.35 2 (1.35) = 0.65
1.48 Russia 1.36 1.36/1.48= 0.92 2 (0.92) = 1.08
On the account that lower value indicates lower internet users, we converted the values by subtracting
the quotient from 2. As a results, Japan achieved 78% of the ideal, China achieved 65% of the ideal,
and Russia achieved 1.08% of the ideal. figure 4 Same process can be applied to the objective limited
number of theaters. Results shown in figure 5.

Environmentalism in Watership Down by Richard Adams Essay
The small group of rabbits that left their original warren, Sandleford, to find a new home often uses
their little spare time to listen to stories generally told by Dandelion. These stories are often about the
Thousand Enemies and how they are a threat to the rabbits, especially El ahrairah. Humans are
presented as one of the Thousand. The author of the book, Richard Adams, displays man in a negative
way because of this. Man is portrayed as violent, nonsensical, and abusive to the natural way of life.

Humans are associated with a senseless and violent view of the world and life in general which leads
to both a horrible life and death of creatures of the wild ( Literature in Brief Information about
Watership Down. ). The machines the rabbits encounter are very much a threat to their well being. The
cars they come across are very unnatural to the rabbits being faster than a rabbit, and don t notice a
rabbit at all ( Literature in Brief Information about Watership Down. ). The violence of a machine such
as a car is underestimated until the group comes across the dead yona, a hedgehog overrun by a
vehicle (Adams 49). Adams emphasizes the violence of the deed by describing the creature as a
flattened, bloody mass of brown prickles and white fur, with small black feet and snout crushed round
the edges. The flies crawled upon it, and here and there the sharp point of gravel pressed up through
the flesh (Adams 49). The rabbits do not see a point in such a violent act, for an animal like a yona
cannot do much more than threaten slugs and beetles, and nothing would eat a yona either. Although
Efrafa seems like a totally evil place, the reason for such evilness lies in the treatment of humans. The
whole purpose of keeping Efrafa under total control was to keep humans from finding out about it and

The Role Of Sterilization On The Individual
For many centuries, countries have used forced sterilization for various reasons for their cultures.
They have used this method of sterilization to help control their populations, help grow their
economies, and for their beliefs or laws within their countries. As for the United States, we have
depicted our country as the land of the free. Our nation was founded on the premise that all human
beings are created equal, stated Philip Roos, author of Psychological Impact of Sterilization on the
Individual, and possess inalienable rights (45). However, some people would disagree because of how
our country has changed since it has become a country. People do not have the freedom in which some
believe we should have. In addition, we have advanced beyond most other countries when it comes to
opportunities for our people.
According to the authors of Federally Funded Sterilization: Time to Rethink Policy, Sonya Borrero,
Nikki Zite, and Mitchell D. Creinin:
Female sterilization has been a popular method of contraception since the 1970 s. Despite the
relatively high utilization of sterilization in the United States, there is considerable evidence that there
is an unmet demand for the procedure among some segments of the United States population. In
particular, low income women may face significant system level barriers to obtaining a desired
sterilization procedure. (1822)
Forced sterilization no longer means just sterilization with the element of not being able to have

A Good Movie Essay
Everyone life has been affected by a movie. Walt Disney said that Movies can and do have
tremendous influence in shaping young lives in the realm of entertainment towards the ideals and
objectives of normal adulthood . According to Google a movie is a story or event recorded by a
camera as a set of moving images and shown in a theater or on television; a motion picture . All this is
good, but what is a good movie. I say that a good movie has a good script, acting, and keeps you
interested. Every movie need a script, but a good movie needs a good script to match. The script is the
one of the essential factors in making a good movie. The script is going to make or break the movie
because that is what you re hearing for two hours. You can t have your movie going to theaters or to
the itunes store without a good script. When it has a bad script it makes the movie hard or unbearable
to watch because the actors sound like they aren t really invested in the story they re telling and you
will notice. It doesn t matter if it is an $200 million studio tentpole film or a $25 million movie about a

movie can be hard to watch if the script is bad, but if the acting is bad i don t know what to tell you.

Interpretive Drift ( Robbins And Dowty, Pg 154 )
After taking this course, I have come to realize that there was one concept that was more prominently
experienced over these past ten weeks this concept being interpretive drift (Robbins and Dowty, pg
154). Not only did I learn about interpretive drift but also I experienced it firsthand. To me, this course
in itself was a form of anthropological fieldwork (Robbins and Dowty, pg 16) because as it went on I
found myself immersing myself into the mindset of a cultural researcher, which in turn seemed to alter
the way I interpret many of the things I observe in my everyday life.
Before taking this course, I was plagued with a sense of ethnocentrism (Robbins and Dowty, pg 9) that
I was not fully aware of. I had initially believed that I was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What I found was that when looking at culture it is important to hold a holistic view. What I mean is
that it is important to understand that no one is without culture, we as humans find ourselves as being
a part of some sort of group and by observing the myths, rituals, key metaphors, and customs of these
groups we can gain insights into the values and beliefs of the people within it. However, insights can
only be gained by keeping an open mind, which can only be done by wholeheartedly accepting that
there are customs, and beliefs that exist beyond our own culture

span of the course and as I continued to watch, more and more of these concepts began to become
clear.
Several elements of the film blatantly popped out at me as I watched the film. One of these elements
in particular was so mystifying during my initial viewing that I was required to go back and re watch it

Classroom Management Reflection
Classroom management is an essential skill that is required of all teachers who wish to be effective
teachers. To have good classroom management, teachers need three skills: self efficacy, classroom
experience, and a passion for teaching. Two of these concepts go hand in hand. If a teacher is
passionate about their profession, they will have a strong sense of self efficacy. Wolff, Jarodzka, and
Boshuizen (2017) state that learning to manage a classroom and teach effectively is complicated, and
the majority of the knowledge and skill development required for effective teaching takes place within
the classroom itself (p. 295). This means that not all teachers start at the same level. There will always
be room for improvement, and teachers will continue to grow and get better as time goes on. There are
many different factors that play into good classroom management, but by far the main three needed
are self efficacy, classroom experience and passion. When the course first began, I assumed that the
concept of classroom management would be fairly straightforward. To the untrained eye, individuals
are either good or bad teachers. If a classroom is filled with chaos, then that instructor is a bad teacher.
By this logic, an individual who handles a room full of students effortlessly is a good teacher.
However, it is only now as we near the end of the course that I realize that things are not that simple.
All teachers, whether good or bad, are capable of having good

people consider. Factors of a person becoming obese can be all of the following, community and
environment, drugs, lack of exercise, unhealthy diet, lack of sleep, bad habits (smoking and drinking),
genetics, social and economic issues, and one of the most important is they way a person s family
lives. Obesity can happen so quickly in young children if their family does not do anything to make
sure their children are getting enough exercise and good nutrition. First, community and the
environment play a role in exercise. A way a person can help prevent becoming overweight, if living
on a farm or in a neighborhood. Gather friends, family, or even pets and take them for a walk, ride a
bike, run, and some if close enough may walk to work. It is very important to make sure environments
are created to make it simpler and easier to participate in physical exercise and maintaining a healthy
diet. Next, drugs can have impact on your body weight. Many may not realize how much drugs can
have an effect on our bodies and health in general. The pharmacist that I work for told me that most of
your antidepressants (Wellbutrin) or steroids could cause us to gain weight. Along with Antihistamines
(Zyrtec), Antihypertensive (blood pressure medication), Insulin, Gabapentin (Seizures) and

Everywhere you look technology is being used. It is used in schools, workplaces, at home, in
transportation facilities, and everywhere you go. Technology has quickly become apart of people s
everyday life. Younger generations haven t experienced a world without technology. Life has been
made easier over time, with advances in the technological world. The Internet and virtual social
networks are new technologies that have had the most impact on young people and have provided
many benefits to their users. Some benefits include staying in touch with distant relatives and having
easy access to important news or weather updates. We have the answers to pretty much all of our
questions with just one push of a button. People are so engulfed in their technological devices that

Is the use of modern day technology harmful to one s health? Mental and physical health is worsening
because of modern day technology. Studies show that constant exposure to screens changes the neural

Character Analysis Of Antony And Cleopatra
Antony and Cleopatra is one of Shakespeare s more glamourous plays that details a forbidden
romance in an incredibly passionate and often aloof way. While reading the play it is difficult to find
empathy in my heart for Antony and Cleopatra s demise. The way I read the play made me feel second
hand embarrassment for the way they handled their relationship and Antony was all the more worse
with his continued infidelity and immature actions. However, watching the play in the intimate setting
of the Round at the Folger Theater allowed the audience to have a more intimate connection with the
actors and better identify with the characters actions. The director took care to light the mood of
certain scenes accurately which effectively warmed and cooled the audience down in a way the
director wanted the audience to feel. The director also made several casting decisions that really
pushed the interpretation of the play he wanted to exhibit. The technical production of the
performance including lighting and sound paired with the casting decisions made by the director help
display the director s angle of one of Shakespeare s most famous plays: to bridge the gap between
Egypt and Rome, where the audience is able to gain an understanding of the characters is ways they
have never been able to before because of the way their emotions and actions change on a whim. It is
difficult to really get Antony and Cleopatra and follow their story because of the way it bounces
around so

services related journals. The research articles have been selected as they adopt contrasting approaches
to research qualitative and quantitative. The objective of this analysis is to highlight and interpret the
interrelated paradigms that all forms of research are underpinned by. Theoretical underpinnings of
research play a crucial role throughout all research paradigms which consequently guide and
determine the direction research will take. It is important to understand that this paper is not a
comparison of the two research articles therefore, the articles have been analysed separately to achieve
a clearer point of view. The first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The findings of this study indicated that professionals working with Aboriginal children and
adolescents need to be conscious of the importance of family and identity. Furthermore, it is critical
that improvements are made to accessibility of mental health services for Aboriginal children,
adolescents and their families as well as a more holistic approach being taken towards addressing
mental health needs. The second research article was selected from The Early Childhood Education
Journal and is titled A Quantitative Study of Head Start Children s Strengths, Families Perspectives,
and Teachers Ratings in the Transition to Kindergarten (Robinson Diamond, 2013). This study
explored the connection between preschool children s social interpersonal skills and their transition to
kindergarten in mid western America. One hundred and thirty three preschool children participated in
this study over a two year period using three measures of testing. In the year leading up to
commencing kindergarten the children s social interpersonal skills were evaluated by their teachers. In
the following year, parents/guardians and teachers were then required to report on the children s
adjustment to kindergarten. The results of this study found that there was no connection between
parents/guardians and teachers reports of

But most of it is eloquently restrained. [23 Sept 1994, p.C3] New York Times. The Shawshank Redemption started out as a novel written by Stephen King and has eventually become a movie. This goes to show that even the person who has the vision of the society will still push people around because they don t follow the exact rules of freedom that are put into place. The fact that someone is still praying to God, and that even the person who s vision it was to be a city upon a hill is going against his vision shows that the colony is still far from achieving Winthrop s vision. The two documents are useful in the sense that they delve further into a specific part of the society. • 15. Analysis Of Octavia Butler s Science Fiction Classic Bloodchild Analysis Octavia Butler s science fiction classic Bloodchild is the coming of age story told from the point of view of Gan. The story takes place on an alien planet the very night that Gan becomes a man. One might expect a highly masculine, ritualistic ceremony or event, but Butler turns the tables. In order to become a man Gan must be impregnated by an insectoid like alien named T Gatoi. Cages have often been symbolic in literature as a means of subjugation, the cages in Bloodchild are imperative to the story in the same way. Through the explicit use of imagery, metaphor, prose and irony, Butler creates a story reflective of the sufferings of American Slavery, of life as an African American woman and causes the reader to reevaluate the way they treat others. Bloodchild has won multiple awards including the Nebula and Hugo Awards and an award for best science fiction novelette from the Science Fiction Chronicle (Heifitz). Butler gains literary notability by creating a work so horrifyingly believable, that is reflective of slavery and discrimination, it is a powerful story that pushes the reader to thoughts and ideas that might not have otherwise been explored. Similar to how some African American slaves accepted their treatment, Gan accepts the cages. The first three mentions of cages come at the beginning of the tale. T Gatoi enters Gan s home, offering gifts. She and Gan embrace and Gan notices that this action made the others feel caged (Butler 3). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When sweat seeps out of these pores, it runs over the ridges. Thus, when a finger, palm, or foot touches a surface, an impression is made which in technical terms is known as a latent print. However, when a print is collected from a police station directly from the source, this is known as an exemplar print (Haber and Haber, 2008; Creswell, 2015). The science of fingerprint analysis rests on three, recently, controversial assumptions: Firstly, the ridge patterns never change during the life of a person; secondly, no two individuals will have the same ridge patterns; lastly, the transferability of an impression of that uniqueness to another surface. Negro residents were often molested by whites and some whites ended up even putting warning signs in the neighborhoods with pictures of skulls, crossbones, and coffins. It was a long process for many urban whites, European immigrants, and blacks to coexist. However, it was such a unique situation that Chicago had never seen before, thus making this city one of the most fascinating and diverse group of cultures in America. The state of Illinois has had some of the most recognized and respected Democratic politicians in American history. In 1955, Richard J. Daley became mayor until his death in 1976. According to author Adam Cohen, he was the most powerful local politician America has ever produced. Under his reign, the city s black population was reaching record levels, as trainloads of blacks fled their hard lives in the rural south for the promise of a better life in northern cities. It was pretty clear that Chicago under Daley became America s major northern rights battleground. At the time of Daley s inauguration in 1955, Chicago was spiraling downward. According to Cohen, Chicago s 1950 population of 3,620,962 turned out to be the high water mark meaning the city would steadily lose inhabitants. Chicago was losing not only people, but jobs, to the rapidly growing Cook County suburbs. Before Daley s time as mayor, the city lost 53,209 manufacturing jobs, while the rest of the country ... • 26. What Does It Mean To Say That Art Is A Lie Pablo Picasso once said Art is a lie that brings us closer to the truth . From this statement a lot can be interpreted leading to different ideas and I think most prominent is the relationship between art, the truth and lies. Pablo Picasso makes two assumptions in his assertion, the first concerning the first section which addresses the fact that art is a lie. The second assumption is made whereby art is given a purpose brings us closer to the truth which creates a paradox that truth can develop and exist in a lie. Furthermore his statement of the two contradictory suggestions leads us to understand that art is a representation of the truth or truths and reality which are perceived by humans as lies. The violence of a machine such as a car is underestimated until the group comes across the dead yona, a hedgehog overrun by a vehicle (Adams 49). Adams emphasizes the violence of the deed by describing the creature as a flattened, bloody mass of brown prickles and white fur, with small black feet and snout crushed round the edges. The flies crawled upon it, and here and there the sharp point of gravel pressed up through the flesh (Adams 49). The rabbits do not see a point in such a violent act, for an animal like a yona cannot do much more than threaten slugs and beetles, and nothing would eat a yona either. They have used this method of sterilization to help control their populations, help grow their economies, and for their beliefs or laws within their countries. As for the United States, we have depicted our country as the land of the free. Our nation was founded on the premise that all human beings are created equal, stated Philip Roos, author of Psychological Impact of Sterilization on the Individual, and possess inalienable rights (45). However, some people would disagree because of how our country has changed since it has become a country. People do not have the freedom in which some believe we should have. In addition, we have advanced beyond most other countries when it comes to opportunities for our people. According to the authors of Federally Funded Sterilization: Time to Rethink Policy, Sonya Borrero, Nikki Zite, and Mitchell D. Creinin: Female sterilization has been a popular method of contraception since the 1970 s. Despite the relatively high utilization of sterilization in the United States, there is considerable evidence that there is an unmet demand for the procedure among some segments of the United States population. • 38. Classroom Management Reflection Classroom management is an essential skill that is required of all teachers who wish to be effective teachers. To have good classroom management, teachers need three skills: self efficacy, classroom experience, and a passion for teaching. Two of these concepts go hand in hand. If a teacher is passionate about their profession, they will have a strong sense of self efficacy. Wolff, Jarodzka, and Boshuizen (2017) state that learning to manage a classroom and teach effectively is complicated, and the majority of the knowledge and skill development required for effective teaching takes place within the classroom itself (p. 295). This means that not all teachers start at the same level. There will always be room for improvement, and teachers will continue to grow and get better as time goes on. There are many different factors that play into good classroom management, but by far the main three needed are self efficacy, classroom experience and passion. When the course first began, I assumed that the concept of classroom management would be fairly straightforward. To the untrained eye, individuals are either good or bad teachers. If a classroom is filled with chaos, then that instructor is a bad teacher. By this logic, an individual who handles a room full of students effortlessly is a good teacher.
