The document summarizes the transmission system of an automobile. It defines the transmission system as the mechanism that transmits power from the engine to the driving wheels. It has three main components - the clutch, gearbox, and propeller shaft. The transmission allows the engine to be disconnected from the wheels, connected smoothly, and drives the wheels at different speeds. It enables torque multiplication for starting and leverage variation between the engine and wheels. The document discusses different types of transmission systems including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and automatic systems. It also explains the power flow in sliding mesh and constant mesh gearboxes.

Analysis, Design and Application of Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)IJERA Editor
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) offers a continuum of gear ratios between desired limits. This allows the engine to operate more time in the optimum range. In contrast, traditional automatic and manual transmissions have several fixed transmission ratios forcing the engine to operate outside the optimum range. The need for a transmission system and the working principle of CVT has been discussed in depth. An attempt has been made to understand the contribution of Hydraulic Actuators, which is an integral part of a CVT. Furthermore, the question of how and why a Torque Converter has effectively replaced a conventional clutch has been answered. The materials used, constructional aspects and stress analysis of the belt has been discussed in detail. A graphical comparison of fuel efficiency between a manual transmission and a CVT in different high end vehicles is included. Recent developments in clamping force control for the push belt Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) have resulted in increased efficiency in combination with improved robustness. Current control strategies attempt to prevent macro slip between elements and pulleys at all times for maximum robustness.

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Sachpazis:Terzaghi Bearing Capacity Estimation in simple terms with Calculati...Dr.Costas Sachpazis
Terzaghi's soil bearing capacity theory, developed by Karl Terzaghi, is a fundamental principle in geotechnical engineering used to determine the bearing capacity of shallow foundations. This theory provides a method to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of soil, which is the maximum load per unit area that the soil can support without undergoing shear failure. The Calculation HTML Code included.

Water scarcity is the lack of fresh water resources to meet the standard water demand. There are two type of water scarcity. One is physical. The other is economic water scarcity.
CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

2. WHAT IS TRANSMISSION
SYSTEM??
The Mechanism that transmits the power developed
by the engine of the automobile to the driving wheel
is called the transmission system (or Power
Train)
In order to propel the vehicle, a particular speed
and power changing devices is require to transfer
the power developed by the engine to the driving
wheel due to constant changing requirements.
These devices are known as Transmissions.
4. PRINCIPLES OF
TRANSMISSION
The torque produced by a petrol or diesel engine is
not maximum at the start.
It increases with increases of speed until at about
50 to 60% of the engine speed providing maximum
H.P., maximum torque value is reached.
In this case, some means must be used to increase
or multiply the engine torque for starting vehicles
from rest.
5. PRINCIPLES OF
TRANSMISSION
Transmission means should provided usually a
starting torque of about 13 to 15 times that of
engine required at the road wheels when the clutch
is engaged because the engine power is a function
of torque and it’s speed.
Therefore for a constant power output torque varies
inversely with torque.
Power = 2 π N T/ 60000 kW
For constant Power, T α 1/N
6. PURPOSE OF TRANSMISSION
SYSTEM
It enables engine to be disconnected from the
running driving wheels.
It enables the running engine to be connected to
the driving wheel smoothly.
It enables the driving wheels to be driven at
different speeds.
It enables turning of the drive round through 90
degree.
It enables the reduction of engine speed in the ratio
of 4:1 incase of passenger car and in a greater ratio
incase of lorries.
It enables leverage between engine and wheels to
be varied

10. ADVANTAGES OF CONSTANT MESH
OVER SLIDING MESH GEARBOX
Helical and herringbone gear can be used in these
gearboxes and therefore, constant mesh gearboxes
are quieter.
Since the gears are engaged by dog clutches, if
any damage occurs while engaging the gears, the
dog unit members get damaged and not the gear
wheels.
