Climate Change And Life Expectancy. The Current Rate Of
Climate Change and Life Expectancy
The current rate of at which the world is being affected by climate change; one may be convinced to
believe that the earth will not be able to be inhabited by any other generation. The perfect clarification
of these claims has been the reduction in the life span and the increase in the number of diseases that
are actually attacking human beings all because of climatic change. The impact of climate change has
been felt and this has had a negative impact on the lives of animals and human beings (Baker, Judy
World Bank., 3). There has been a huge debate on whether climatic change is responsible for the
decline in the life expectancy among human beings as well as animals. This essay is based on the facts

countries hence the increase in the rate of complacency. The point also explains why developing
country usually relies on foreign aid as means of sustaining their own economies.
Initially animals used to have very long time span in that goats or even cattle could stay for years and
yet they are still very productive. This has certainly changed as result of climatic changes. The animals
used to live longer as a result of cold temperatures that used to slow down their rates of metabolism
hence the longer life span. Temperatures today are very high as a result of climatic changes. The
increased temperatures have actually led to increase in the metabolic rate of the animals hence the
reduction in the life span. This explains why animals today cannot even live for more than five years
and then remain productive all along as animals could live for a whole decade but still remain very
productive. It is believed that the presence of favorable climatic conditions usually increase the life
span of animals or even plants by more than 20 percent. This is very reason the people back in the
1700s all the way to the late 1800s used to live long and they were not really exposed to the kind of
diseases that people are currently exposed to (Letcher, T. M, 49).
One of the main factors that have actually led to the reduction in the life expectancy

Discrimination And The Egalitarian Sentiment On...
Discrimination as Virtue In contrast to the egalitarian sentiment on discrimination, namely that it is
almost universally bad, discrimination per se must be exposited and defended against these. There is a
usage of discrimination such that it is always unjust, based on superficial qualities and thus policies
opposing discrimination right a wrong. Rather, discrimination is not only virtuous, it is natural and
necessary. Discrimination, considered for itself, is only the practice of discerning between individuals
for similar and dissimilar traits. Most abstractly, it is only to note that not everything is equal, nor
everything unequal, and that we shall preference those things we evaluate as being proportionate to
the significance of a role. That we discriminate is not hard to demonstrate: we discriminate, for
instance, whenever we choose to marry one person rather than another. Furthermore, it would be
strongly insisted by nearly everyone that this discrimination is not only permissible, it is required for
the formation of a family. Parents should like their daughters to choose husbands suitable to raising
children, and sons to choose wives suitable to the same task. The community, parents, and those
getting married have a strong preference for those they evaluate as possessing those traits, and select
out from potential partners those that demonstrate little potential for the demands of the role. Not all
discrimination is just per se; there are better and worse uses of

The Reasons Of Non Compliance
IV. The reasons of non compliance
Due to the fact, the board dismissed Steven Sewell from CEO because his characteristics are not
suitable with the characteristics of new board. This reason is very subjective and unreasonable. This
paper would not examine the unreasonable reason from the board of FDC as above, but will observe
the fact that the removal of a director by the board is not the first time happened. There are some
previous cases which are similar to the FDC case in which directors were dismissed by the board, such
as in the case of Allied Mining Processing Ltd v Boldbow Pty Ltd ( Allied v Boldbow ), Central
Exchange Ltd v Rivkin Financial Services Ltd ( Central v Rivkin ), and Scottish Colonial Ltd v
Australian Power Gas Co Ltd ( Scottish v Australian Power ). In those three cases, the decision by the
judges is considerably different. In Allied v Boldbow and Central v Rivkin, the judges state that
Section 203D does not replace any other power of removal possessed by the company. Therefore, a
company could regulate in their constitution to dismiss a director without the need for a vote of
shareholders (in defined circumstances). Conversely, in Scottish v Australian Power, the judges
emphasise that Section 203D is mandatory, and therefore, the process of removal a director must
follow Section 203D. Due to those cases, it is clear that there are pro and contra about the dismissal of
a director as stipulated in the Section 203D. One side argues that

Police Force And Its Components
Peruvian Police Force and Its Components: A Study

Police Administration Theory and Practice
November 12, 2015
Dr. Siyu Liu
New Jersey City University
When it comes to the topic of policing, countries have different laws and regulations for the police
force. Tactics also differ which allow each police force to be unique and distinct from others. In the
presentation covered, Peru s police force was examined. Topics that were discussed include the history
and demographics, law enforcement policies, police training, corruption, and female officers. Topics
that were covered during the semester that was discussed in this presentation in regards to Peru were
community policing and crime mapping/hot spots. With the enlightenment of these topics, one can
distinguish between what was learned this semester about the United States police force and Peru s
police force.
The first topic that was reviewed was Peru s police force history and demographics. The Proclamation
of Peruvian independence was declared by General San Martín in 1821 (The Lima Guide, 2015, p.1).
The Civic Militia was created to keep public order. Their duty was to maintain public security within
each province. The first constitution of the republic was created in 1823, under the presidency of Don
José Bernardo Tagle. On 20 January 1827, during his first presidency, Marshal Don Andrés de Santa
Cruz issued a provisional set of police regulations. In 1834 the serenos or town

Bomba And Orquestas Influence On American Music
Did you know that most of the modern musical forms have come from ancestor s past sense of music?
From bomba to plena, Cajun music to swamp pop and zydeco and conjunto and orquesta Tejano to tex
mex, music has long been the art of retaking art forms and molded it into different art. Music will
continue to thrive and evolve if it remains organic in its nature. Bomba dates to the colonial period of
Puerto Rico, and Plena would arrive on the scene in the early 20th century taking roots from bomba in
southern Puerto Rico. This percussion driven music was meant to move people to dance. And while
both are often mentioned as the same group, there is differences in each. Bomba is often accompanied
with sixteen beats, unlike Plena which has one basic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Orquestas existed prior to the new movement, but they were toned down from what they were today.
Orquestas commonly consisted of one or two violins and ushered with guitar accompanist. But as new
generations came became more Americanized, they started to blend their culture with Americans, the
result was orquestas Tejano. Orquesta tejana was often looked down upon by Mexican nationals, for
downplaying their own cultural heritage and joining the American mainstream, this divided the two
groups. Two such innovators of Orquesta tejana were Armando Marroqoin and Paco Betancourt, these
two formed Ideal records in 1946. Armando would reach national stardom, when he produced Las
Delicas (Polka) and his ranchero style. However, while most of the popular age of Orquesta Tejana
was in the 1940 s 1950 s It continues to thrive today in the form of Tex Mex, and La Onda Chicana.
Another popular group that pioneered Tejano introducing blues and swing into their music was
Carmen y Laura. Carmen y Laura would pave the way for new pioneers to branch off and to start new
and ground breaking genres. In San Antonio, Falco Jimenez would revolutionize the Tejano style with
introducing accordion. Nortena or the Music of the North became a national mainstay. Carmen y
Laura would become the forerunners to introduce Spanish music to the increasing American

Data Integrity And Availability Techniques
Abstract For many computing systems, database technologies are an essential component. They
permit data to be reserved and shared electronically and the quantity of data retained in these systems
continually develops at an exponential rate. As organizations upsurge their dependence on, possibly
distributed, systems of information for daily business, they develop the vulnerability to security
breaches even as they get efficiency and productivity advantages. However, numerous techniques like
encryption and electronic signatures, are presently available for data protection whenever transmitted
across the sites, an actually comprehensive tactic to protect data must also contain mechanisms to
enforce access control policies centered on data contents, characteristics and subject qualifications,
and other relevant appropriate information, like time. It is currently well recognized that the semantics
of data has to be taken into consideration so as to stipulate effective policies of access control.
Moreover, data integrity and availability techniques must be adopted that specially tailored to database
systems. In this regard, for many years, the community for database security has developed various
different techniques and approaches which assure data privacy, integrity, and availability. However, in
spite of such advancements, the database security zone faces numerous inventive challenges. The
security concern evolution, the disintermediation of data access, novel computing

Belbin Team Roles
Teams are a key component of modern work practice. This has highlighted the importance of theories
relating to the operation and effectiveness of team work (Buchanan, 2004). Much work has been
devoted to seeking a formula for success. (Pritchard, 1999). One of the best known and widely used
methods is Meredith Belbin s work on team roles which is based on research commenced in the 1970
s and was published in 1981. Belbin put forward that management teams require a mix of individual
characteristics working together to be most effective. His roles numbered 8, this was revised to 9 later
with the addition of the specialist role.(Belbin,1981) The growing commercial success of Belbin s

A Comparison Of Freudian Psychoanalysis And The Awakening
Freudian Psychoanalysis and the Awakening Sigmund Freud, the preeminent, 19th century, European
neurologist and psychologist, designed a theory he labelled psychoanalysis, a theory which would
transcend all borders and integrate itself deeply into many facets of society. In fact, an American
named Kate Chopin, wrote a book entitled The Awakening, which was published at the turn of the
19th century, in which this theory played an integral role in expressing the complexity, relevance, and
growth of the main character. The express importance of the main character displaying a Freudian
psych is pertinent even in the modern time because it allows us to view the application of his theories
around the time of their conception, trace ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However the text does hint at eventual abandonment of this balance. This may seem like a ponderous
weight of wisdom to descend upon the soul of a young woman of twenty eight, perhaps more wisdom
than the Holy Ghost is usually pleased to vouchsafe to any woman. (Pg 33 34) Though her Superego
does appear to be keeping the Id and the Ego in check, the text implies that it will not be able to hold
its dominant position much longer. Through the usage of Freudian Psychoanalysis in her main
character Edna, Chopin gives readers a candid glance into the elaborate nature of women s thoughts
and feelings in the 19th century. It is clear that established roles were very highly in question, as well
as the importance of self expression and discovery. These are very important elements of humanity to
consider as they relate very heavily to the condition of society today. These ideas can be seen in
politics, the arts, social relations, and an individual s perception of their duties to society. The idea of
the Id, the Ego, and the Superego does seem to be a realistic perception of the human mindset, as
demonstrated through Edna s thought process, and can be applied to the way of thought that people
have possessed for hundreds of years. In these times, the world struggles to achieve meaning and
purpose within themselves and among their societies, and the Awakening offers an extremely
interesting point of view; Learning to recognise and explore

Analysis Of A Doll House By Henry James
In Daisy Miller by Henry James the author takes us on an adventure of a self centered American
woman who has no desire to conform to society. On the contrary in A Dolls House, Henrik Ibsen
shows Nora as woman who is also not bothered by society, but for less selfish reasons. Both women
are willing to do what is necessary for Daisy it is what is necessary to fulfill her own needs and for
Nora what is necessary to fulfill the needs of the ones she loves. Despite the motives of both women,
each author shows the empowerment behind each character. James and Ibsen discuss how the power
of women is portrayed through independence, courage and innocence. Independence is something
everyone craves but may not always achieve. Your roots may grow this characteristic early in life or a
life changing event may cause you to seek it. Daisy Miller travels throughout Europe unchaperoned
until she comes across a gentleman, Winterbourne. James sets the tone of Daisy s adventures after she
meets Winterbourne by noting, A young man was not at liberty to speak to a young unmarried lady
except under certain rarely occurring conditions (pg 5), which shows the outlook of the European
Society. Despite the European ways, Daisy engaging with Winterbourne shows her independence from
society. On the other hand, Nora plays the domesticated woman however, Nora s independence is not
portrayed as her roots as it is for Daisy. The author does not give Nora her independence until she has
discovered her

Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death
In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is
separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death;
despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death
in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and
other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book,
during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking
about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that
someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the
concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate;
people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew
apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange,
that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an
embrace in it. Then, could it be that because Clarissa has been separated from ... Show more content

of her life playing a role and never actually allow herself to be of her true nature. From what Clarissa

Poetry Analysis Robert Frost Essay
POETRY ANALYSIS: DESIGN Robert Frost s poem Design seemingly disputes the question whether
there is a design to life; yet, he is not able to establish an answer. Despite the comlexity of his poem
his implied message is rather simple. Frost s statement clarified human s eagerness to finding a
meaning to life and an essential background and reason to events, regardless of how small and
insignificant they might be. His work states an advice not to interpret too much into insignificant
conincidences or apportion them too much relevance. During the first stanza, the speaker of the poem
encounters a dimpled white spider on a white heal all that has previously caught a white moth. This
seemingly coincidental situation is so distinct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, he proposes two answers on how the conincidence might have happenend. He suggests
that a design of darkness, an evil power, delectated by conceiling a bad deed in the color of goodness,
is to be held responsible. Yet, a spider killing an insect is a fairly common sight and in no way
spectacular. This would imply, that the designer, God, or whatever you might want to call it, himself,
besides all the beauty on earth, also created destruction. This is a shocking picture and differs from
most peoples image of a creator which is what makes this poem so powerful and striking. His second
idea would be that there is no order and design to life at all. If this small example of destruction was
not the work of some evil force, then so his argumentation there can be no God or goodness leading
the small things on earth. Consequently, if small things on earth are not governed by a good force, the
possibility of no god or no design at all is given. But does this form of reasoning not seem a little far
fetched, almost satiric? Even though Robert Frost is known for agnostic poetry, this poem obviously
focuses on humanity. It is a parody of humans everlasting curiosity and their compulsion to find a
proof for a supreme being and a reason for existence on earth. He is describing a spider killing a moth
while sitting on a flower and despite the fact that there is a perfectly plausible biological

Cystic Fibrosis Pathophysiology
Describe the pathophysiology and signs and symptoms of cystic Fibrosis (CF). Kaneshiro describes
cystic Fibrosis as a system wide disease process that affects the mucous production of organs from the
time of birth, most commonly affecting the lungs and intestines (2014). He goes on to say that this is a
hereditary disease that is most commonly found in the first 2 years of a child s life and the symptoms
start out as mild and can be easily overlooked, which accounts for the late diagnosis even though the
disease started at birth (2014). The most common early life symptoms include a lack of stools in the
first couple of days after birth and salty tasting skin though as the child ages there is a significant lack
of developmental growth and lack of weight gain along with frequent respiratory infections and
constipation (Kaneshiro, 2014). The life expectancy of a child with CF currently is at around 37 years
old when that child receives extensive early treatment for the side effects of CF, though there is no
cure at this time, though the treatments are getting more effective every year (Kaneshiro, 2014). ...

measurements of the proximal aorta, the greatest dimension at the aortic root, sinotubular junction,

decrease hemodynamic stressors, both negative inotropic and chronotropic, to the proximal aorta and
therefore slow the progression of aortic dilation (Judge Dietz, 2005). There was a randomized trial

that the treatment group had a significantly lower rate of aortic growth than the control group (Keane

Right Choices In Michael Lehmann s Heathers
Asking a child which snack he prefers, a vegetable or something better suited for dessert, it is more
than likely he will choose the tooth rotting goodness of his favorite treat, even if it is against his
parents demands. It is quite extraordinary how a child, although in a situation less life changing than
an adult may be in, can also make the choice to do something ruthless because it is too irresistible to
pass up. Due to this atavistic tendency, the message of making the right choices is ubiquitous in
media. In Michael Lehmann s drama Heathers, Veronica Sawyer finds difficulty in assuaging her

Example #2 I began working part time on a regular basis at the age of 13. After high school, I talked
my way into a job as a runner at the Chicago Board of Trade. A runner is the person who runs all the
buy and sell orders to the brokers in the pits. I have been successful in blue collar jobs, such as roofing
and painting, as well as white collar jobs, such as being an account executive for a national mortgage
lender. At the age of 21, I decided to attend college and later graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of
Science degree in telecommunications management. I am currently working on a master s degree and
am married with two children. In this scenario, once again I selected the wrong person. I selected the
woman because she was older, and being more mature led me to believe that she had more work
experience than the two males that were pictured. In my opinion, both males appeared to be too young
to have so much work experience; especially having worked as an account executive for a national
mortgage lender. They both appeared to be high school or college students. Example #3 I received a
Bachelor of Science degree in graphic communications and spent 7 years working in the prepress
industry. After a 2 week trip to Italy, I realized I wasn t happy with my life and needed to change. So, I
quit my job, moved out to California,

Essay on China s Air Pollution Conundrum
Choking To Death: China s Air Pollution Conundrum Long gone are the days when China is mostly
rural with a population consisting of farmers. In the late 1970s, Deng Xiaoping loosened the controls
on economic life, and began a period known as reform and opening. China has not looked back, and
industries continue to develop and millions of people migrate to cities to work in one of the many
factories. China is experiencing record breaking economic expansion. They are one of the world s
largest manufacturers and exporters. However, the citizens of China are living in extremely unhealthy
conditions. The air they breathe in on a daily basis is horrifying and inescapable. The main reason for
this is that China depends primarily on coal. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a 97% increase in China s industrial production since 2007, reaching a value of $3.7 trillion
(Ross). This historic, exponential growth over the past decade is mainly because of monstrous
expansion of industry and urbanization. However, this requires a tremendous use of energy, most of
which China generates from coal, the most readily available, yet dirtiest, source.
Coal is a cheap, yet harmful, fossil fuel for generating electricity and China is home to one of the
world s largest coal reserves. China burns four billion tons of coal each year, more than the United
States, Europe, and Japan combined (Kahn and Yardley). Most homes, power plants, and factories run
on energy from coal. In fact, 70% of China s energy three quarters of electricity generation come from
coal (Larson). These energy requirements are remarkably high because China must power its heavy
industry plants. China s steel makers, for instance, use approximately one fifth more energy per ton
than the national average, and cement makers require 45% more power. Furthermore, the amount of
energy consumed by the aluminum industry is comparable to the amount used by the entire country s
commercial sector (Kahn and Yardley).
In comparison to the rest of the world, Chinese factories are inferior. Many do not operate or control
pollution efficiently, which aggravates the pollution problem even more. Few coal driven power plants

Irving Berlin Contributions
Irving Berlin made important contributions to musicals and music writing. After his background
information is provided, the prior sentence will be proven by using examples of the songs he made as
a freelance songwriter, a songwriter for Broadway musical productions , and Hollywood Musical
productions, the popularity of the songs, and the awards.
Israel Berlin who we now know as Irving Berlin, was born May 11th, Eighteen 1888, in the town of
Tyumen, a Siberian city in Russia. He was the one out of eight children. His father, Moses Baline, was
a Cantor in the Jewish Synagogue, and his mother was Lena Lipkin Baline During the time he lived in
Russia, he and his family were treated terribly, for the fact that Russia was at that time attacking the
Jews and the Jewish community. The only thing he remembered about Russia was when an Anti
Semitic group burned down his house, and he sat in front of his house all night watching it burn. In
circa 1883 his family moved to Brooklyn, New York City, New York, United States of America via
Ellis Island. Everyone in his family regardless of age, except for practical reasons such as an infant,
had to work. Although his family was very poor, he did not seem to notice. His father was a very strict
Jew and would punish his children with beatings even for as simple of a reason as taking their shoes
off in an unorthodox way. He worked odd jobs until he was eight years of age, when his father died,
he became a street singer while doubling as

N. Scott Momaday s The Way To Rainy Mountain
When reading, The Way to Rainy Mountain I found out one of the most prolific American Indian
writers of the 20th century was N. Scott Momaday, and he grew up on many different Indian
reservations in southwest American. He first lived with his grandparents on the Kiowa reservation.
Then N. Scott Momaday moved to Arizona where his parents were teachers on Indian reservations.
This exposed Momaday to the traditions of his Kiowa ancestry, as well as the traditions of other tribes,
such as the Apache, Pueblo, and Navajo.
As I was reading on I found that N. Scott Momaday went to college and earning a degree in political
science from the University of New Mexico, N. Scott Momaday gravitated toward literature,
eventually earning a doctorate in English literature from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
I found that alongside N. Scott Momaday he pursued creative scholarly writing, Momaday pursued
creative writing, and he won the Pulitzer Prize for his first novel, House Made of Dawn, in 1969. As I
continue on I found out that Momaday has worked as a professor while pursuing writing in many
different genres: he almost accomplished poet, novelist, memoirist, and essayist. Momaday is also an
active painter, and a member of the Kiowa Gourd Dance Society, which carries forward the
ceremonial Kiowa Gourd Dance tradition. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Coretta Scott King Speech
Coretta Scott King said Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation. I
agree with King for a few reasons. Many people might just not even remember their rights. Your rights
may also even be stolen by someone. Freedom is always taken away, but you can get your rights and
freedom back by doing something outstanding. Freedom to me is being able to do whatever you want
that is reasonable. If you do something that is not reasonable your freedom may be taken away. You
can earn your rights back, but they can still be taken away again. If you do not break the laws you will
get more rights. Even though you may get more they rights they can still be taken away, if you break
the law. Secondly, you might not even remember

Ancient Egyptian Religion
Background of religion
Bordered by deserts, Egypt s Nile River valley was very isolated from other civilizations due to the
deserts surrounding them. This isolation continued for thousands of years. As a result, Egyptian
religion and culture remained almost untouched by the beliefs the other early civilizations at the time.
This religion consisted of thousands of gods and goddesses. Around these deities arose a rich
mythology formed that helped to explain the world to the early Egyptians.
Religion was organized into groups known as religious cults. These groups worshiped specific gods
who played a central role in their society.
Roll of Pharaohs in Religion
The king, or pharaoh, was a very important model in the ancient Egyptian religion. The ancient
Egyptians believed that the king was a divine link between humans and the gods. Since pharaohs were
considered to have a special relationship with the deities they had many responsibilities.
These responsibilities included asking the gods and goddesses to protect their land and to also keep it
prosperous. They were also responsible for supporting and organizing religious cults and for building
and maintaining temples dedicated to the gods.
Pharoh s believed that through this link the gods and goddesses kept order. The Pharaoh in some ways
was more important than any individual god. The ruler s official names and titles reflected his special
relationship to the deities, particularly to the sun god Ra and the sky god Horus. Some

Religious Beliefs In The American Colonies
The definition of religious liberty differs in every colony. Every colony has a different belief some
believe in god and others don t, but no one was free to be choose on what religion people wanted to

practiced in most colonies, the Puritans in Massachusetts established a new law that no all religions
could be practice. Pennsylvania was the first to follow those rules from court. Spanish colonies were
Catholics, there was no other religion to follow. When people got tired and tried to protested about a
new religion they would be persecuted and would send them to another place. French colonies, in their

History of the Chicago Bulls Essay example
The Chicago Bulls, they have gone through many stages of success, including six championships with
Michael Jordon s Bulls. Michael Jordan in fact is the reason why most people know about the Bulls.
The Bulls though do run deeper than just Michael Jordan, because before Jordan came to the Bulls the
Bulls had to come to the NBA. The Chicago Bulls are one of the most memorable and historic
professional basketball teams in history. The Bulls joined the National Basketball Association in 1965.
Before this the Bulls had been known as the Chicago stags, the stags had been one of the best teams in
the Business Basketball Association since 1946 and even played one season in the NBA before they
folded and started over as the present day Chicago ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After this promising start though the Bulls would so begin to falter (Chicago History). At the start of
the Bulls second season things looked grim for the team. They had traded their star player Guy
Rodgers for Flynn Robinson and two future draft picks. This proved to be a fatal flaw as the Bulls
only went a mere 29 53 in the regular season. Still this was barely enough to get into the playoffs
where they were destroyed by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. After this dreary season the
Bulls lost Jerry Colangelo, from their front office and he took Jonny Kerr, the Bulls head coach with
him. This however, gave them the chance to hire the unlikely choice of Dick Motta (Chicago History).
Motta was in some ways a godsend to the Bulls because of the way he helped the Bulls turn the corner
in the early 1970 s. He brought a tough defensive mind to the table and this translated directly into the
Bulls tough defensive play. Motta was also helped out when the Bulls drafted rookie Tom Boerwinkle,
a seven foot center that would turn out to be a star. The Bulls also traded Robinson to Milwaukee for
Bob Love, an NBA legend. That same year the Bulls acquired Bob Weiss and Jerry Sloan, all this
added up to a very competitive club. This Bulls team in fact was the best rebounding squad the Bulls
ever put on the floor with a total of 4,550 total rebound in

What Is The Use Of Ethos In Hillary Rodham Clinton s...
At the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women, Hillary Rodham Clinton delivered her
speech on Women s rights. This Conference took place on September 5, 1995, in Beijing China. The
purpose of this speech is to raise awareness about the struggles that women face, all over the world,
every day. Clinton gives a very strong speech attached with several emotions, and information to
support her ideas. She played an important role in the public not only then but now as well. Clinton
emphasizes the importance of women s rights all throughout the speech. She builds her speech on
emotion. Clinton uses this conference as an opportunity to, as she says, come together and talk about
our aspirations and concern (1). Clinton continues by discussing ... Show more content on

Pathos is an appeal to emotion, and is a way of convincing an audience of an argument by creating an
emotional response. Clinton uses this idea to get the attention of the audience. She takes an emotional
point of view to approach the topic. When listening to the speech, as a female, I found it easy to relate
to the points she is making. One thing that really grabbed my attention when listening was when she
said, Women comprise more than half the world s population, 70% of the world s poor, and two thirds
of those are not taught to read and write (2). To me it was very shocking that women makeup more
than half of the world s population, yet still lack basic fundamentals of everyday life. For there to be
that many women in the world, there are still so many that are suffering and so many that do not have
control over their own lives, and that truly breaks my heart. As Clinton says, We are the primary
caretakers for most of the world s children and elderly. Yet much of the work we do is not valued not
by economists, not by historians, not by popular culture, not by government leaders (2). This shows
that even if you play a significant role in the world everyday that it can still go

written as if it was in the future, everything is automated. The house is a machine that did everything

Analysis Of John Locke s The Of The Golden Era Essay
During the course of history there has been brilliant men who have accomplished amazing feats that
help cement their names for centuries. Aristotle was a man who opened the gate to the world of
science. Marco Aurelius was a man with all the traits of a phenomenal thinker and leader, and so he is
regarded as the Emperor of the Golden Era . Leonardo da Vinci opened the door to the Renaissance
and William Shakespeare treated us to the best writings and plays in the English language. Likewise,
John Locke is a man who accomplished what many men could not. He single handedly developed a
political system that had a focus on liberty, his work would help influence many men from both sides
of the Atlantic. Aside from being a brilliant political theorist, Locke was an author who wrote many
outstanding writings. He is remembered as being one of the best English philosophers of all time, and
rightfully so. He was a man who opposed the unpleasant rule of absolutism and helped situate the age
of enlightenment as an intellectual movement that sought to solve, social, economic and political
problems. John Locke was born on August 29th 1632 in Wrington, Somerset in England. The son of
John Locke Sr, and Agnes Keene, Locke Sr was an attorney and clerk to the Justices of the Peace in
Somerset, who enjoyed his work despite being held in small respect . After his son birth, the family

  • 2. Climate Change And Life Expectancy. The Current Rate Of Climate Change and Life Expectancy The current rate of at which the world is being affected by climate change; one may be convinced to believe that the earth will not be able to be inhabited by any other generation. The perfect clarification of these claims has been the reduction in the life span and the increase in the number of diseases that are actually attacking human beings all because of climatic change. The impact of climate change has been felt and this has had a negative impact on the lives of animals and human beings (Baker, Judy World Bank., 3). There has been a huge debate on whether climatic change is responsible for the decline in the life expectancy among human beings as well as animals. This essay is based on the facts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is means the depletion or destruction of this natural resources means the end of the life for this countries hence the increase in the rate of complacency. The point also explains why developing country usually relies on foreign aid as means of sustaining their own economies. Initially animals used to have very long time span in that goats or even cattle could stay for years and yet they are still very productive. This has certainly changed as result of climatic changes. The animals used to live longer as a result of cold temperatures that used to slow down their rates of metabolism hence the longer life span. Temperatures today are very high as a result of climatic changes. The increased temperatures have actually led to increase in the metabolic rate of the animals hence the reduction in the life span. This explains why animals today cannot even live for more than five years and then remain productive all along as animals could live for a whole decade but still remain very productive. It is believed that the presence of favorable climatic conditions usually increase the life span of animals or even plants by more than 20 percent. This is very reason the people back in the 1700s all the way to the late 1800s used to live long and they were not really exposed to the kind of diseases that people are currently exposed to (Letcher, T. M, 49). One of the main factors that have actually led to the reduction in the life expectancy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Discrimination And The Egalitarian Sentiment On... Discrimination as Virtue In contrast to the egalitarian sentiment on discrimination, namely that it is almost universally bad, discrimination per se must be exposited and defended against these. There is a usage of discrimination such that it is always unjust, based on superficial qualities and thus policies opposing discrimination right a wrong. Rather, discrimination is not only virtuous, it is natural and necessary. Discrimination, considered for itself, is only the practice of discerning between individuals for similar and dissimilar traits. Most abstractly, it is only to note that not everything is equal, nor everything unequal, and that we shall preference those things we evaluate as being proportionate to the significance of a role. That we discriminate is not hard to demonstrate: we discriminate, for instance, whenever we choose to marry one person rather than another. Furthermore, it would be strongly insisted by nearly everyone that this discrimination is not only permissible, it is required for the formation of a family. Parents should like their daughters to choose husbands suitable to raising children, and sons to choose wives suitable to the same task. The community, parents, and those getting married have a strong preference for those they evaluate as possessing those traits, and select out from potential partners those that demonstrate little potential for the demands of the role. Not all discrimination is just per se; there are better and worse uses of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Reasons Of Non Compliance IV. The reasons of non compliance Due to the fact, the board dismissed Steven Sewell from CEO because his characteristics are not suitable with the characteristics of new board. This reason is very subjective and unreasonable. This paper would not examine the unreasonable reason from the board of FDC as above, but will observe the fact that the removal of a director by the board is not the first time happened. There are some previous cases which are similar to the FDC case in which directors were dismissed by the board, such as in the case of Allied Mining Processing Ltd v Boldbow Pty Ltd ( Allied v Boldbow ), Central Exchange Ltd v Rivkin Financial Services Ltd ( Central v Rivkin ), and Scottish Colonial Ltd v Australian Power Gas Co Ltd ( Scottish v Australian Power ). In those three cases, the decision by the judges is considerably different. In Allied v Boldbow and Central v Rivkin, the judges state that Section 203D does not replace any other power of removal possessed by the company. Therefore, a company could regulate in their constitution to dismiss a director without the need for a vote of shareholders (in defined circumstances). Conversely, in Scottish v Australian Power, the judges emphasise that Section 203D is mandatory, and therefore, the process of removal a director must follow Section 203D. Due to those cases, it is clear that there are pro and contra about the dismissal of a director as stipulated in the Section 203D. One side argues that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Police Force And Its Components Peruvian Police Force and Its Components: A Study Yvette Nicola Police Administration Theory and Practice November 12, 2015 Dr. Siyu Liu New Jersey City University When it comes to the topic of policing, countries have different laws and regulations for the police force. Tactics also differ which allow each police force to be unique and distinct from others. In the presentation covered, Peru s police force was examined. Topics that were discussed include the history and demographics, law enforcement policies, police training, corruption, and female officers. Topics that were covered during the semester that was discussed in this presentation in regards to Peru were community policing and crime mapping/hot spots. With the enlightenment of these topics, one can distinguish between what was learned this semester about the United States police force and Peru s police force. The first topic that was reviewed was Peru s police force history and demographics. The Proclamation of Peruvian independence was declared by General San Martín in 1821 (The Lima Guide, 2015, p.1). The Civic Militia was created to keep public order. Their duty was to maintain public security within each province. The first constitution of the republic was created in 1823, under the presidency of Don José Bernardo Tagle. • 7. Bomba And Orquestas Influence On American Music Did you know that most of the modern musical forms have come from ancestor s past sense of music? From bomba to plena, Cajun music to swamp pop and zydeco and conjunto and orquesta Tejano to tex mex, music has long been the art of retaking art forms and molded it into different art. Music will continue to thrive and evolve if it remains organic in its nature. Bomba dates to the colonial period of Puerto Rico, and Plena would arrive on the scene in the early 20th century taking roots from bomba in southern Puerto Rico. This percussion driven music was meant to move people to dance. And while both are often mentioned as the same group, there is differences in each. Bomba is often accompanied with sixteen beats, unlike Plena which has one basic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Orquestas existed prior to the new movement, but they were toned down from what they were today. Orquestas commonly consisted of one or two violins and ushered with guitar accompanist. But as new generations came became more Americanized, they started to blend their culture with Americans, the result was orquestas Tejano. Orquesta tejana was often looked down upon by Mexican nationals, for downplaying their own cultural heritage and joining the American mainstream, this divided the two groups. Two such innovators of Orquesta tejana were Armando Marroqoin and Paco Betancourt, these two formed Ideal records in 1946. Armando would reach national stardom, when he produced Las Delicas (Polka) and his ranchero style. However, while most of the popular age of Orquesta Tejana was in the 1940 s 1950 s It continues to thrive today in the form of Tex Mex, and La Onda Chicana. Another popular group that pioneered Tejano introducing blues and swing into their music was Carmen y Laura. Carmen y Laura would pave the way for new pioneers to branch off and to start new and ground breaking genres. In San Antonio, Falco Jimenez would revolutionize the Tejano style with introducing accordion. Nortena or the Music of the North became a national mainstay. • 8. Data Integrity And Availability Techniques Abstract For many computing systems, database technologies are an essential component. They permit data to be reserved and shared electronically and the quantity of data retained in these systems continually develops at an exponential rate. As organizations upsurge their dependence on, possibly distributed, systems of information for daily business, they develop the vulnerability to security breaches even as they get efficiency and productivity advantages. However, numerous techniques like encryption and electronic signatures, are presently available for data protection whenever transmitted across the sites, an actually comprehensive tactic to protect data must also contain mechanisms to enforce access control policies centered on data contents, characteristics and subject qualifications, and other relevant appropriate information, like time. It is currently well recognized that the semantics of data has to be taken into consideration so as to stipulate effective policies of access control. Moreover, data integrity and availability techniques must be adopted that specially tailored to database systems. In this regard, for many years, the community for database security has developed various different techniques and approaches which assure data privacy, integrity, and availability. However, in spite of such advancements, the database security zone faces numerous inventive challenges. The security concern evolution, the disintermediation of data access, novel computing ... On that day the famous words one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind were uttered by the first man on the moon. Or were they? Most people believe that the United States and no one else has ever landed on the moon. While this may seem hard to believe, a surprising number of people believe that it was all a big hoax. The controversy over whether the United States went to the moon is becoming popular and conspiracy theorists are convincing people not only in the United States, but also all over the world that Americans never landed on the moon. In the end, many of the claims come from people simply not understanding the principles of photography and physics. That is fine. Much work has been devoted to seeking a formula for success. (Pritchard, 1999). One of the best known and widely used methods is Meredith Belbin s work on team roles which is based on research commenced in the 1970 s and was published in 1981. Belbin put forward that management teams require a mix of individual characteristics working together to be most effective. • 11. A Comparison Of Freudian Psychoanalysis And The Awakening Freudian Psychoanalysis and the Awakening Sigmund Freud, the preeminent, 19th century, European neurologist and psychologist, designed a theory he labelled psychoanalysis, a theory which would transcend all borders and integrate itself deeply into many facets of society. In fact, an American named Kate Chopin, wrote a book entitled The Awakening, which was published at the turn of the 19th century, in which this theory played an integral role in expressing the complexity, relevance, and growth of the main character. The express importance of the main character displaying a Freudian psych is pertinent even in the modern time because it allows us to view the application of his theories around the time of their conception, trace ... This may seem like a ponderous weight of wisdom to descend upon the soul of a young woman of twenty eight, perhaps more wisdom than the Holy Ghost is usually pleased to vouchsafe to any woman. (Pg 33 34) Though her Superego does appear to be keeping the Id and the Ego in check, the text implies that it will not be able to hold its dominant position much longer. Through the usage of Freudian Psychoanalysis in her main character Edna, Chopin gives readers a candid glance into the elaborate nature of women s thoughts and feelings in the 19th century. It is clear that established roles were very highly in question, as well as the importance of self expression and discovery. These are very important elements of humanity to consider as they relate very heavily to the condition of society today. These ideas can be seen in politics, the arts, social relations, and an individual s perception of their duties to society. The idea of the Id, the Ego, and the Superego does seem to be a realistic perception of the human mindset, as demonstrated through Edna s thought process, and can be applied to the way of thought that people have possessed for hundreds of years. In these times, the world struggles to achieve meaning and purpose within themselves and among their societies, and the Awakening offers an extremely interesting point of view; Learning to recognise and explore ... • 12. Analysis Of A Doll House By Henry James In Daisy Miller by Henry James the author takes us on an adventure of a self centered American woman who has no desire to conform to society. On the contrary in A Dolls House, Henrik Ibsen shows Nora as woman who is also not bothered by society, but for less selfish reasons. Both women are willing to do what is necessary for Daisy it is what is necessary to fulfill her own needs and for Nora what is necessary to fulfill the needs of the ones she loves. Despite the motives of both women, each author shows the empowerment behind each character. James and Ibsen discuss how the power of women is portrayed through independence, courage and innocence. Independence is something everyone craves but may not always achieve. Your roots may grow this characteristic early in life or a life changing event may cause you to seek it. Daisy Miller travels throughout Europe unchaperoned until she comes across a gentleman, Winterbourne. • 13. Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death; despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book, during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate; people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange, that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an embrace in it. • 15. Poetry Analysis Robert Frost Essay POETRY ANALYSIS: DESIGN Robert Frost s poem Design seemingly disputes the question whether there is a design to life; yet, he is not able to establish an answer. Despite the comlexity of his poem his implied message is rather simple. Frost s statement clarified human s eagerness to finding a meaning to life and an essential background and reason to events, regardless of how small and insignificant they might be. His work states an advice not to interpret too much into insignificant conincidences or apportion them too much relevance. During the first stanza, the speaker of the poem encounters a dimpled white spider on a white heal all that has previously caught a white moth. This seemingly coincidental situation is so distinct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Furthermore, he proposes two answers on how the conincidence might have happenend. He suggests that a design of darkness, an evil power, delectated by conceiling a bad deed in the color of goodness, is to be held responsible. Yet, a spider killing an insect is a fairly common sight and in no way spectacular. This would imply, that the designer, God, or whatever you might want to call it, himself, besides all the beauty on earth, also created destruction. This is a shocking picture and differs from most peoples image of a creator which is what makes this poem so powerful and striking. His second idea would be that there is no order and design to life at all. If this small example of destruction was not the work of some evil force, then so his argumentation there can be no God or goodness leading the small things on earth. Consequently, if small things on earth are not governed by a good force, the possibility of no god or no design at all is given. But does this form of reasoning not seem a little far fetched, almost satiric? Even though Robert Frost is known for agnostic poetry, this poem obviously focuses on humanity. It is a parody of humans everlasting curiosity and their compulsion to find a proof for a supreme being and a reason for existence on earth. Kaneshiro describes cystic Fibrosis as a system wide disease process that affects the mucous production of organs from the time of birth, most commonly affecting the lungs and intestines (2014). He goes on to say that this is a hereditary disease that is most commonly found in the first 2 years of a child s life and the symptoms start out as mild and can be easily overlooked, which accounts for the late diagnosis even though the disease started at birth (2014). The most common early life symptoms include a lack of stools in the first couple of days after birth and salty tasting skin though as the child ages there is a significant lack of developmental growth and lack of weight gain along with frequent respiratory infections and constipation (Kaneshiro, 2014).
