The Path Of Federal Vote For Women During The Mexican...
The path to federal vote for women in Mexico was a unique history to the Mexican Revolution. The
nation was known as a great independent movement, which highly looking for economic
modernization, and practice liberal ideals. Because they were lacked of education, Liberal was a big
concerned for women and fear that women might harm and cause more problems to the progressive
politics (Pablos 45, 60). The battle for the right to vote was only thought in England, Europe and

The Male Gaze
The Male Gaze . In 1975, feminist film critic Laura Mulvey in her 1975 essay entitled Visual Pleasure
and Narrative Cinema defined a new phrase the Male Gaze . Mulvey explained the phrase as a filter
that is placed onto various mediums such as film that depict the world and women from a masculine
point of view and in terms of men s male dominance over women . This gaze according to Mulvey,
sexualizes and objectifies the woman . The male gaze also affects how women see themselves and
how they act in public.
The male gaze consists of three different gazes:
That of the person behind the camera, That of the characters within the representation or the film
itself, and That of the spectator .
Mulvey s main argument in Visual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bell Hooks examines ways that women can view themselves and things that are presented to them.
Women are sexualized and marketed toward a male audience or more simply, sex sells .
In what way does Mulvey s concerns about the male gaze persist as relevant today?

the object of the reifying gaze, not always the bearer of it . Yes, sex does sell . Current films have
enabled woman to a greater degree than films produced in the 70 s and 80 s. Woman are behind the

they are now the bearer of it.

Analysis Of Bob Dylan s Song George Jackson
Origin:
In the document called George Jackson the author is Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan is an American song
writer who wrote this song and many others. Bob Dylan was born in May 1941 and is still alive today
(Wikipedia, 2018). He was born in Duluth, Minnesota. Bob Dylan was born with the name Robert
Allen Zimmerman (Wikipedia, 2018). Bob Dylan was known for talking about his generation and
singing in his songs about how they feel. That he was called the finger pointin songs (Arnove Zinn,
pg. 493). This song was written in 1971. It was delivered in song format in 1971 And sung by Bob

Bob Dylan said I woke up this mornin There were tears in my bed They killed a man I really loved
Shot him through the head (Arnove Zinn, pg. 492). This is the beginning showing his tribute to
George and how sad it was for a man to die that he really loved. The next point he makes is trying to
say he is innocent and should not have been lock up and had the key thrown away. Bob Dylan said,
Sent him off to prison For a seventy dollar robbery Closed the door behind him And they threw away
the key (Arnove Zinn, pg. 492). This is showing how he is using the first time he was arrested to make
him look innocent when the time he was killed in jail was when he been convicted of killing a guard.
Dylan said Prison guards, they cursed him As they watched him from above But they were frightened
of his power They were scared of his love. Lord, Lord, So they cut George Jackson down. Lord, Lord,
They laid him in the ground. (Arnove Zinn, pg. 493). This the point he is showing that the guards
killed him because they were scared of his power that he had and the love that he could give and that
they had to get rid of him from taken over them from all of the people reading his book. That after he
was killed it started revolution in other prisons because of his book that everyone read and from him
being killed. That this is showing how the government was losing control and that they had to get rid
of him, so he would not take power away from the government anymore. This just shows how Bob
Dylan main points was to play tribute to him and to make look innocent and to be a very powerful and
loving man that will be missed. You can use this in argument to show how much he will be missed.
You can also use it show how power he was that it made Bobo Dylan write a song about the guy. You
could also use it in a history paper to tell about different time of the government

Cultural Competency For A Nursing
Cultural competency is extremely indispensable in nursing practice so that nurses can provide optimal
care for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Therefore, insufficient knowledge and skills of
cultural competency has continued to increase racial and ethnic inequalities in healthcare services
especially for minority groups (Dunagan et al. 2013; Long, 2012). As Nurses interact with clients they
provide care, education and advocacy at any point in need. Cultural awareness provides the bases for
nurses to develop of interest to continue and advance in knowledge and skills to deliver cultural

research methods. The combination of different research methods was to improve the strategies to
enhance data collection and extraction (Whittemore Knaffle, 2005). The strategy specifically enhances
the rigour of the process of the critical analysis to address current of knowledge on enhancing the
cultural competency of new graduates (Whittemore Knaffle, 2005). DATA REDUCTION Of the seven
studies included in the review, there were two that employed qualitative methods (Hart Mareno, 2014;

study. Chircop et al., (2013) used a quantitative research design which was deemed acceptable for
obtaining measurable data regarding student competence and knowledge acquisition. While the two
mixed method designs (Alpers, Hanssen, 2014; Dunagan et al., 2013) were considered effective for
exploration of self assessment for to enhance cultural competency. Two other studies used quasi
experimental research methods (Mareno and Hart, 2014; Noble et al., 2014). The summary to the
selection process are illustrated in Appendix II. DATA DISPLAY To describe the pattern and

White House Construction
In order for Alexander Hamilton to get his assumption bill passed, he, James Madison, and Thomas
Jefferson made a deal known as the Compromise of 1790 which gave Hamilton the votes he needed to
pass his bill and Jefferson and Madison obtained the nation s capitol for the South and this is where
the White House would later be built. Before construction of the White House, though, the President
lived in the President s House in Philadelphia which was built in 1767 and served originally as home
to the Penn family, who founded Pennsylvania, and it was probably the largest home in all of
Philadelphia. This is where Washington spent his presidency and also where Adams spent the first 18
months of his presidency before moving to the White House. The architect who designed the White
House was Pierre Charles L Enfant in 1791 while designing the District of Columbia. He envisioned a
large mansion for the President which was five times larger than the building that was actually built. ...

changes over the years, one of the most important renovations being the Truman Restoration that
occurred from 1948 to 1952. Truman added a balcony branching off the second story of the South
Portico and, shortly after this, the main building was found by architects to be structurally unsound,
leaving the old interior to be dismantled and rebuilt with concrete and steel instead of wood. Some
small modifications were made as well during this time, such as adding bathrooms to each bedroom
and repositioning the main staircase to the Entrance Hall instead of the Cross

Comparing Classical Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, And Tantra Yoga
The story, myth, and background of Kali can be interpreted in many different ways. There are three
strands of yoga that have developed over the past centuries. The tree strands are Classical Yoga,
Advaita Vedanta, and Tantra Yoga. Classical Yoga is a dualistic model in which purusha and prakriti
are completely separate. Everything has an equal and opposite counter part in this strand of yoga.
Advaita Vedanta Yoga was a response to dualistic, Classical Yoga. This strand of yoga is monistic and
is a view that affirms the unity of all things. Everything is one. The divine consciousness is
everywhere and in everything we see. Tantra Yoga is non dualistic while also realizing and accepting
that there is diversity in the world. Each of these strands of yoga looks at Kali s story differently and
its significance is different in each view.
In Classical Yoga, the view is that one must overcome prakriti. In doing so, the individual is able to
free the mind from their body to experience purusha. Kali is the creator of prakriti. She is the force
that drives the world and it s lila. It is often thought that when a bad storm or tornado hits, it is her
doing. A yogi of this view would meditate to Kali as the goddess of destruction, not the mother. They
would face that she is the unity of all things, being the creator and destroyer of everything we embrace
in this material world as seen with her dance in the myth. This yogi would learn to face the reality of
life and death. If one simply

Models Of The Kingdom Snyder (2001)
Models of the Kingdom Essay
In the book Models of the Kingdom Snyder (2001) presents eight models which Christians have used
to define the kingdom of God. Snyder (2011) explains these models can clarify theological issues and
help obtain truth of the kingdom of God. However, the author also indicates, each model has strengths
and weaknesses thus one should consider three criteria when selecting a model (Snyder, 2011). The
requirements to examine when choosing a model are: is the model solidly grounded on Scripture, is
the model faithful to the character of Jesus Christ as witnessed in Scripture, and whether the model is
relevant to present age (Snyder, 2011). Moreover, as I analyzed the eight models and compared each
model to the biblical foundation

external conflict with trying to figure out what to do, who to tell, and how she would get him out of

realized she never wanted to leave her world and became more understanding of what her mother
wanted of her. She saw Oliver s vision and when she returned to her world she went to find the one
seen in Oliver s vision, the author. This author had stopped writing after the death of her husband and
was very cautious while talking to Delilah. She got through to the author and made the connection that
Oliver was based off her son Edgar. He thought it was stupid because he felt he would never live up to
this Oliver character. Edgar plays video games for most of the day and Delilah got the feeling he
might be the one to show Oliver to. He refused to allow himself to think that Oliver is really alive in
the story, but came to see that he really is alive. After she tried to retype the ending, it failed multiple
times. While Delilah was asleep, Edgar rewrote the story and when she woke up, she realized Edgar
and Oliver switched places. Edgar wanted to escape his world so he could be the hero for once. Her
conflicts were mostly resolved except for the fact that she was a long ways from home and her mother

The And Considerations Behind The Creation Of Our Group...
This essay will discuss the reasons, choices and considerations behind the creation of our group
newsletter, Manaakitanga. It will involve relevant theories to support my following reflective essay,
including research on document design and group dynamics.
The rationale of our Manaakitanga newsletter is for all members across the twenty one branches of
Hospitality New Zealand, informing them about new topics, and sharing the most recent and latest
news within Hospitality NZ (New Zealand) for the employees to read. Manaakitanga is an internal
newsletter for employees, sharing the changes, achievements, the news and events that have a broader
appeal, keeping the interest alive for the readers (Kent, 2011).
First of all the content of Manaakitanga involves an interview, Early morning starts on a winning
streak , secondly an article on What is coming up in the summer months , thirdly a spotlight story on
one of Christchurch s most popular restaurants, and last of all a story on New Zealand s drinking
culture and a calendar of events highlighting important up coming courses and events for employees
to attend to.
The interview featured on page four of Manaakitanga is significant to Hospitality NZ because as we
know the Rugby World Cup is occurring at the moment and The Sale and Supply of Alcohol
Amendment Act 2015 are allowing on license and club license holders to open outside of their normal

Analysis Of The Book Alice s Adventures
In today s world most are familiar with the story of Alice in Wonderland. Admittedly, most are more
familiar with the Disney movie, than the actual book. The movie and book are captivating in their
imagination, and bare some striking similarities. The movie and the book have many differences. The
movie has a different medium and can convey differently than the book. In 1951, Disney, a company
well known for animating favorite fairy tales, animated the well loved story of Alice who fell down
the rabbit hole and into a new world as she slept. The world she fell into however was a bit different
than in the book Alice s Adventures in Wonderland. The movie could show more than the story could
describe, and the movie covered more than just what was in that one book in order to create a fuller
world then what was provided in teh one book, the producers decided to include elements from Alice
through the Looking Glass as well. Lewis Carroll was not only a writer, but a mathematician as well.
When he wrote the stories about Alice, Carroll wanted to make sure proportions remained intact and
he wanted to focus more on Alice s story than the world creation. Though we get vivid details about
the rabbit hole world, it takes more space to describe this in written form than in picture form. While
at the same time it can sometimes take longer for dialogue to play out on screen than on the page
depending on cadence and speaking rate in the film. Not only that but it is some differences

of their history, so they can stand by each other if a potential project could damage both. Furthermore,
the ones that are profiting from these environmental projects are mostly corporations. The federal
government and corporations that benefit from these environmental damaging projects have ignored
and overlooked Indigenous rights and claims for centuries. It has only been in the last few decades [...]

The tribes are actually using their treaty rights to fight and prevent plans. Indigenous nations possess
inherent powers of self government that pre date contemporary, colonial nation states. Over time, via
treaties, violence, negotiation, lawmaking, jurisprudence, and legal subterfuge, nation states have
circumscribed this inherent sovereignty. The ways in which settle governments suppressed or even
ignored indigenous powers of self government led to increased conflict between tribes and nation
states (Richmond et al. 2013, 1042). The Indian Country Today author especially attacks the role
money plays in all of this. The importance money has on the American government and personnel,
instead of the actual well being of the people. A politician s jobs these days is to schmooze the rich
and get that money into their campaign coffers so they can get re elected, and that doesn t leave them
much time left to do their real job, which is to represent all the people and not just the few (Jacobs
2015). If a tribe or community stands up and fight for their rights they get bombarded by lawsuits.
This means there is no change from the moment colonists entered the New World in which they felt
they had the right to take up land and only protect their rights instead of the indigenous peoples rights.
In a way the indigenous peoples are still subjected to settler colonialism. This means that people take
away your homeland and establish new rules and a new culture there. In this instance it means that
TransCanada swings in and decides to build a pipeline and the people living on these lands just have
to swallow it. Non Native people have come to the realization that Native are being treated unequally

Weather Forecast Research Paper
Throughout this assignment I have learned that there are many things that go into making a weather
forecast. I realized that it takes a lot of research to precisely forecast the high and low temperatures as
well as the weather and surface features for each day. There are a variety of models to choose from for
weather forecasting, but I have to figure out which one was best based on my atmospheric situation.
Due to the fact that I live in Missouri I found it difficult to use some of the methods due to the fact that
the weather is constantly changing. I originally thought I could use the Persistence Forecasting Model,
but then I realized that the weather changes to often for it to be the same each day. It would have been
a better option if we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So I began to look up the long term average of weather conditions for each day in order to predict the
weather for the given day. Most of the time it was pretty precise but it could have been better.
Out of the six models I found the Numerical Model to be the best choices when creating a forecast
since it seemed to be the most accurate, due to the fact that it measures uses calculations and takes into
consideration the pressure, temperature, winds, humidity, clouds and precipitation. Out of all the
numerical models I chose to specifically use the North American Mesoscale model (NAM) because it
was specific for my atmospheric situation.
Despite using the models for forecasting, I learned you have to take into consideration the different
surface features including the different types of fronts and pressure systems.
Overall, I have learned that being a meteorologist is not the path for me. The different models of
forecasting are all very different and often hard to read. It takes a lot of time and patients to look
through all the different models and understand them. I am a type of person who likes immediate
answer and rather than having to go through multiple steps to figure out one

Culture Vs American Culture
I can vividly recall one warm summer night in Dallas,Texas when my entire family and I were
huddled around a tiny 27 inch television. We were anxiously watching one of the most infamous
rivalries in sport: India versus Pakistan. I did not quite understand what was happening in the match,
but judging by the anxious look on my family s faces, I could tell that the game was very close and
intense. I remember my dad and uncles talking about strategies Pakistan should use to win, debating
back and forth on what would be the best move. Unfortunately, moments later, everybody went quiet,
as only sighs and groans filled the room. Pakistan had just lost. Seeing the somber faces around the
room, I realized how important cricket was to my family, and how it was a pivotal aspect of their

A part of that has to do with learning the varying differences between Pakistani and American culture.
For example, while most children were watching cartoons like SpongeBob SquarePants or simply
American sports, I remember watching Cricket (the most popular sport in Pakistan) and a South Asian
crime drama, called CID . While some of my friends would have meatloaf for dinner, I would have
Pakistani dishes like Nihari and Biryani. I communicated with my parents almost exclusively in Urdu,
the official language of Pakistan. And while most of my friends would go to a church in a suit and tie,
I would go to a mosque, wearing a traditional Pakistani outfit, known as a Shalwar Kurta . Pakistani
and American cultures differ in many ways, and it is by experiencing both of these cultures
simultaneously, and effectively assimilating into American society, that had an integral role in shaping
the person that I have become today, not only in terms of my personality but also in the way I live my

World Wrestling History
So the history of world wrestling goes back a long time. It was the first sport to ever be created. The
first real traces of the development of wrestling date back to the times of the Sumerians, over 5,000

Drawings were discovered in Ancient Egypt in the tombs of Beni Hassan representing 400 couples of

Competitions helped to make wrestling more popular, the physical aspect of wrestlers served as a

practiced by American Wrestlers. It was only during the fourth olympic Games held in London in
1908 that competitions were organized for both styles. Wrestling matches took place on three mats
that were placed outside. A regular match lasted 1 hour, but finalists wrestled without a time limit.
After this Olympic Games, Wrestling started to develope in every country Worldwide. Northern
Europe countries maintained Greco Roman wrestling, where freestyle wrestling was largely
dominated by the English and the Americans. In Amsterdam, in 1928, the first African wrestler won

Psysics Behind Changes in Planetary Orbit
Physics behind changes in planetary orbit
April 07,2014
Oh no, a small field of asteroid the size of Pluto is heading towards Earth on a direct collision course!
The Earth and all of its inhabitants are now facing certain extinction. What are the Earth s inhabitants
to do? Is it possible to move the planet out of the way in time? Fortunately for humanity, there are
many ways to actually change the Earth s orbit both plausible and unrealistic, but one must completely
understand the physics behind each option so that no mistakes are made and we fully avoid suffering
any consequences. First background information on our planet needed, Earth has been around for 4.54
billion years, it has a mass of 5.98x10^24 kg, a diameter of 12756 km, a velocity of about 67000 mph,
and is about 149,597,890 km away from the Sun. To most this doesn t sound like a simple task, not
knowing the trick is using Earth s orbit. An orbit is the gravitationally curved path of an object around
a point in space, for example the path of a planet around the center of a star system, like in our Solar
System (Encyclopedia). In order to change the orbit of a planet, one must consider the difference
forces that can influence the planet s orbit: direct contact, gravitational assistance, solar sails, and the
possible but not exactly plausible forces.
The thought of an object coming on a collision with Earth is quite frightening, but surprisingly it could
lead to our salvation. If an object of equal mass

19th Century Gender Roles
Gender roles and stereotypes are nothing new in human society and can be traced back to the earliest
known human civilizations like the Aztecs and the Mayans where men and women preformed specific
tasks in order for their societies to thrive and flourish. Men and women equally farmed and took care
of the family, both fulfilling the role as provider and nurturer (Robin 409). So there is a bit of
confusion as to how somewhere down the line, 19th century civilizations diverged so far away from
the original gender roles laid out by our ancestors. The industrial revolution caused a dramatic
differentiation in the gender roles of men and women, particularly in the upper and middle class
societies (Gonäs 92). During this time men and women were thought to have had completely different
biological natures which people saw as meaning different roles in society. ... Show more content on

Women were seen as weak, dependent, and illogical. Men were pictured to have natural role best
suited to the public world, and women were seen has be best suited for the private world. Women who
exhibited traits or desires that challenges these views were seen as improper and often ostracized and
cast out for defying societies beliefs. The history of gender in Europe in the 19th century can be
summed up as as an overarching patriarchal model which reserved power and privilege for men as
said by Jan Marsh in her article Gender Ideology Separate Spheres in the 19th Century. This was a
time of the great man where outstanding male individuals were rising to immense power in all aspects
of life and were being depicted in all forms of media around the globe. Women were nothing more
than a stage hand in comparison to men who were the main event on stage at the time. John Singer

were portrayed in society by highlighting women of status and power at the

Grand Turk Research Paper
My favorite place has to be a beach that is in this wonderful place called Grand Turk. Grand Turk is an
island that many cruise ships go to and is by far the best place to go on a cruise. There is an abundance
of reasons why this beach is so amazing to me.
As soon as you get there, there is a short walk to the side of the beach. One of the best things about
this beach is that there not many people that live there and it is really spread out and there is a lot to
do. As you walk up on to the beach, you can feel the warm soft sand between your toes and hear the
waves crashing down onto the shore. If you keep going further down the beach there is this one place
called Jack s Shack. There is so much to do there and so many nice people

The Federal Government Regulate The Insurance Industry
Background The federal government s role is in regulating industries is to protect consumers and the
market. There is an ongoing debate on whether the federal government should regulate the insurance
industry as a result of the bailouts stemming from the Financial Crisis of 2008. Currently, state
governments regulate the insurance industry. Proponents of federal regulation reason that states are
inefficient in the duty of insurance regulation. Additionally, the federal government has economies of
scale and may offer an increase in efficiency unlike state regulation. The federal government regulates
industries due to inherent systemic risk to the country s economic environment. Systemic risk is the
risk of collapse of an entire financial system or market. (SOURCE) For example, banking institutions
such as Lehman Brothers, Merrell Lynch, and Goldman Sachs were major contributors to the financial
crisis in 2008 because these institutions were systemically significant to the market. The insurance
industry and the core activities of the industry, however, were not a major contributor to near collapse
of the American economy. The federal government should not regulate the insurance industry because
it does not possess a systemic risk to the market economy, states have the ability and resources to
regulate, and federal regulation would result in unnecessary costs from the federal budget.

The employment relationship may be defined as the relationship between employer and employee
over the terms and conditions of employment (Loudoun, Mcphail amp; Wilkinson 2009). In Australia,
the industrial relations had become a big issue, so following the 24 November 2007 Federal election,
the Rudd Labor Government began work on its promises to re shape Australia s industrial relations
system. (Riley amp; Sheldon 2008) However, some people think that the state should stay out the

By now, it has been operated for eight years and prohibits the discrimination on the basis of age.
Recent research vindicates this prediction, demonstrating that women at all levels of management still
report gender discrimination as a barrier to their advancement in Australia (Metz amp; Moss 2008).
The gender pay gap is also reflected in the low numbers of women in leadership positions (Goward
2004). Therefore, the state enacted Sex Discrimination Act 1984 to assist the government for this
issue. Under the Sex Discrimination Act it is unlawful to discriminate on the basis of gender, marital
status, pregnancy and family responsibility (Loudoun, Mcphail amp; Wilkinson 2009).
Racial discrimination includes race, colour, belief and national or ethnic origin. Australia is a
multicultural country; a large number of people are from different countries. They have different
cultural background like language, race, colour, belief and so on. Therefore, the racial discrimination
has become one of the most serious discriminations in Australia. For prohibiting it, Australia
government legislate the Racial Discrimination Act 1975.

Imagery In The Masque Of The Red Death
In the writing The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe, we see how one disease, the Red
Death, is fatal and ruining an entire kingdom. Prince Prospero doesn t seem to care about the chaos
happening to his subjects. He hosted a marvelous event with all his favourite kings and ladies and
once the last guest arrived, he welded the door shut. After 6 months he hosts a masquerade ball. Poe
shows us that imagery and theme can be used to prove that phantasm can be beautiful and ugly. The
author created very detailed imagery that made it feel like a beautifully dreary dream. The masquerade
is imagery because he is describing in almost dream like detail of what is going on around him. Here
shown by There were arabesque figures with unsuited limbs and appointments. There were delirious
fancies such as the madman fashions (Poe 7). Using words like arabesque, and unsuited limbs, we see
that people are dancing. Whilst they are untrained, and not deserving of performing such advanced
moves, they are dancing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

depopulated, he summoned to his presence a thousand hale and light hearted friends from among the
knights and dames of his court, and with these retired to the deep seclusion of one of his castellated
abbeys (Poe 2). They are acting hale and light hearted because they think that death won t catch up to
them. They pretend as if no one is dying, that death isn t real. They re fools for thinking they are safe.

Marianne Willoughby Research Paper
When Marianne Dashwood receives a letter from John Willoughby stating that he has never had any
feelings for her, this triggers an emotional chain reaction: in her devastated state of mind she first
blames Willoughby, then denies his unscrupulousness while suspecting an unknown woman, his
fiancée, of being her enemy (cf. S S 179), but at last quickly returns to the thought that Willoughby
himself may have actually written it: It is too much! Oh! Willoughby, Willoughby, could this be your

however, these women are not all equal as they differ in efficiency and menace. Researchers in the

noticeable though that certain types of female antagonists repeatedly occur in Jane Austen s novels.
According to their respective features, every single one of these characters can be thus put into one of

Ethical Issues Essay
Ethical Issues
Ethical issues are moral challenges facing the health care profession (Stanhope Lancaster, 2012, p.
127). Ethical issues is a major concern in the healthcare field because healthcare providers observe
ethical issues every day and have to make ethical decisions. Advance directives are written documents
that addressed an individual s medical care preferences. These documents usually take effect when
patients no longer can make informed health care decisions for themselves. While these documents are
helpful to loved ones and health care providers, there are a number of ethical considerations that can
make the development and execution of advance directives difficult (Llama, 2014). This author is a

Describe A Tropical Park
Tropical Park has always been where my heart lies since I was a child. My mother would take me to
the park every Sunday until I was a teenager. At this park we would have a picnic and then go to this
steep hill at the end of the park and slide down using a cut out cardboard box. I chose to come clean
up at this park because it brings me a lot of happy memories about my childhood. This park is
absolutely gorgeous. It has a lot of different activities going on daily and even has a space to bring
your dog and enjoy the park with them. I ve celebrated many birthdays, baby showers, and attended
sporting events here. It is always fun! This park is actually very meaningful to me because I even had
a couple birthday parties growing up. Also, once I even got bit by a geese because my mother gave me
a piece of bread to feed the geese but I guess I pulled on it and the geese got mad and bit me on my
eyebrow (still have the mark, true story).
To begin with, while I was cleaning up the park, I noticed that many people didn t even bother to look
at what I was doing. I believe this is because everybody in Miami is worried about themselves and
they don t really care about others or their environment. I even picked up a wrapper of a chocolate bar

Decline of Biblical Christianity and Rise of Modern ...
Christianity has quickly begun to lose its true meaning throughout the years. It s when people use
words like love and morals and common sense they just don t have the same meaning as they once did
all those years ago. Christianity though, unlike the previously stated words, has been modernized in
such ways that we have deceivingly altered things such as The Ten Commandments to foolishly fit our
desired lifestyles. We have begun a modernization of Christianity I like to refer to as, Twenty First
Century Christianity. Christianity within itself has been the most complex simple part of life many
have ever had to endure, until really the late 1900 s when simplicity became the American standard for
most. First it was transportation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Christianity is no longer a category in religion, but also a category of specific people ranging from,
yes again, modernized Christians who talk the talk but have no desire to walk the walk; and those who
are called radicles because they live out the Gospel teachings going overseas and devoting their lives
to Christ. Now what are the differences between cultural (modern) Christian and biblical Christian
lifestyles? Well as David Platt put it in his book Radicle, We are settling for a Christianity that
revolves around catering to ourselves when the central message of Christianity is actually about
abandoning ourselves. Basically, David Platt was kindly beating around the bush about us as an
American culture, his book Radicle being strictly about American Christian culture, being lukewarm
in our faith, relationship and devotion to Christ in the way we live. In Revelation 3:16, So, because
you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Harsh? Yeah, probably
a little bit, and one might see this and do what many do in this era; see it, curse it, and go about their
lukewarm Christian lifestyle as they have been. You see, this is where our instant gratification society
begins to crumble. To live as the Bible commands us to also involves

The Albanian Culture During The Ottoman Rule In Albania
Culture is what connects everyone to their roots and is what plays a great part of everyone s
personality. Every culture is unique and special in its own way. With this cultural project, I had an
opportunity to discover a different culture other than mine. I experienced the Albanian culture. Albania
is a small country in Southeastern Europe. Also, Albanians are the Balkan people who settled in
Albania and they call themselves Shqiptarë . In addition to Albanian culture, there are the religions
that have a great impact to their life. During the Ottoman rule in Albania, many Albanians converted
to Islam. However, Albanian Christians were not forced to convert so they just remained Christian. On
November 28th, 1912, Albania declared independence and was recognized as a country. After this
cultural experience and events that took place I was enlightened on the great Albanian culture.
In order to discover the Albanian culture, my good friend Albi allowed me to come into his home for
dinner. Including Albi there were 6 people who were there to experience the culture. Furthermore, it
was very exciting to not only experience a new culture, it was exciting to do it with friends. ... Show

The reality in all of this is that we must decide ourselves who we are and what we d like to represent
us...for it isn t just Americans that tune in to popular programming; there are countless others around
the planet that may never come across a black woman...and the image on TV is all they have to go by.
The phenomenon that black reality television has become in an overarching topic both in and outside
the African American community. As the African American Community, especially women within the
community continue to enjoy these shows for what they are worth, understanding both the good and
bad, we must determine whether the stereotypes being emphasized and highlighted through shows like
Real Housewives of Atlanta, Love and Hip Hop and Basketball Wives are detrimental to the way
African American women are seen and how we see ourselves not only our generation, but for
generations, decades and centuries to come. This paper will seek to not only take a closer look into
two prominent African American women s character traits depicted in popular reality shows, but also
to find an answer to the hovering question of whether or not they are detrimental to the way we are
seen.
The depiction and debate whether is be positive or negative idea of blacks in television, is a relatively
new concept. The first black appeared on television was in 1950, a mere 64 years ago. Beluah was a

I noticed that once you re not kid anymore you get the pilvrige of doing like your elder such as I can

According to Berk Meyer (2016) make believe play is an example of the development of
representation in early childhood (p.312). Play detaches from the real life conditions associated with
it: During this observation, when the children were playing in the building area, they knew that the
blocks were an object but that it could represent something else, such as they were building castles
and towers. According to Berk Meyer (2016) by age 3, children can understand that an object may
take on one fictional identity in one pretend game and another fictional identity in a different pretend
game (p.312). Another group of children was playing in the toy cars area, they were pretending that
they were the ones driving the car in a race. This is an example of sociodramatic play. According to
Berk Meyer (2016), a sociodramatic play is the make believe play with others that is under way by the
end of the second year and that increases rapidly in complexity during early childhood (p.312). Yet, I
noticed that during this play time some children struggle more than others, it was hard for some
children to have an understanding of roles in the game due to the fact that they couldn t follow the plot
or where impatient to wait for their turn. This is a skill that children master at the end of preschool
years. Interestingly, despite that many children were playing in groups, there was this one child, a boy

The Birth Control Of Women
Appropriately called by some one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World, the birth control pill
has absolutely revolutionized the lives of women around the globe. As an effective means to control if
and when a woman has a child, the pill opened up doors to spaces where women weren t allowed
prior. A person controlling their own fertility is an essential component of creating economic security,
limiting unwanted pregnancies, and creating healthier families. There are many new options for
contraception for women today, but the pill was the original catalyst in the United States for women
claiming control over their fertility, career, and overall health status. The concept of family planning
can be traced back to a nurse, sex educator, and political activist names Margaret Sanger. Born in 1879
to a large family (and her mother subsequently died during Margaret s birth), she was passionate about
the ability for women to control their fertility and own their sexuality. Sanger is credited with opening
the first birth control clinic in the United States in 1916 (Planned Parenthood, 2013). She went on to
found the American Birth Control League, which eventually became Planned Parenthood. Fighting for
reproductive justice through advocacy and clinics was just the beginning, however, as Sanger had an
ultimate goal: a birth control pill. Being the dream she always wanted to have realized, Sanger teamed
up with an experimental biologist and friend, Katherine Dexter

  • 8. Comparing Classical Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, And Tantra Yoga The story, myth, and background of Kali can be interpreted in many different ways. There are three strands of yoga that have developed over the past centuries. The tree strands are Classical Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, and Tantra Yoga. Classical Yoga is a dualistic model in which purusha and prakriti are completely separate. Everything has an equal and opposite counter part in this strand of yoga. Advaita Vedanta Yoga was a response to dualistic, Classical Yoga. This strand of yoga is monistic and is a view that affirms the unity of all things. Everything is one. The divine consciousness is everywhere and in everything we see. Tantra Yoga is non dualistic while also realizing and accepting that there is diversity in the world. Each of these strands of yoga looks at Kali s story differently and its significance is different in each view. In Classical Yoga, the view is that one must overcome prakriti. In doing so, the individual is able to free the mind from their body to experience purusha. Kali is the creator of prakriti. She is the force that drives the world and it s lila. It is often thought that when a bad storm or tornado hits, it is her doing. A yogi of this view would meditate to Kali as the goddess of destruction, not the mother. They would face that she is the unity of all things, being the creator and destroyer of everything we embrace in this material world as seen with her dance in the myth. This yogi would learn to face the reality of life and death. If one simply ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, the author also indicates, each model has strengths and weaknesses thus one should consider three criteria when selecting a model (Snyder, 2011). The requirements to examine when choosing a model are: is the model solidly grounded on Scripture, is the model faithful to the character of Jesus Christ as witnessed in Scripture, and whether the model is relevant to present age (Snyder, 2011). Admittedly, most are more familiar with the Disney movie, than the actual book. The movie and book are captivating in their imagination, and bare some striking similarities. The movie and the book have many differences. The movie has a different medium and can convey differently than the book. In 1951, Disney, a company well known for animating favorite fairy tales, animated the well loved story of Alice who fell down the rabbit hole and into a new world as she slept. The world she fell into however was a bit different than in the book Alice s Adventures in Wonderland. The movie could show more than the story could describe, and the movie covered more than just what was in that one book in order to create a fuller world then what was provided in teh one book, the producers decided to include elements from Alice through the Looking Glass as well. Lewis Carroll was not only a writer, but a mathematician as well. When he wrote the stories about Alice, Carroll wanted to make sure proportions remained intact and he wanted to focus more on Alice s story than the world creation. Though we get vivid details about the rabbit hole world, it takes more space to describe this in written form than in picture form. The tribes are actually using their treaty rights to fight and prevent plans. Indigenous nations possess inherent powers of self government that pre date contemporary, colonial nation states. Over time, via treaties, violence, negotiation, lawmaking, jurisprudence, and legal subterfuge, nation states have circumscribed this inherent sovereignty. The ways in which settle governments suppressed or even ignored indigenous powers of self government led to increased conflict between tribes and nation states (Richmond et al. 2013, 1042). The Indian Country Today author especially attacks the role money plays in all of this. The importance money has on the American government and personnel, instead of the actual well being of the people. A politician s jobs these days is to schmooze the rich and get that money into their campaign coffers so they can get re elected, and that doesn t leave them much time left to do their real job, which is to represent all the people and not just the few (Jacobs 2015). I realized that it takes a lot of research to precisely forecast the high and low temperatures as well as the weather and surface features for each day. There are a variety of models to choose from for weather forecasting, but I have to figure out which one was best based on my atmospheric situation. Due to the fact that I live in Missouri I found it difficult to use some of the methods due to the fact that the weather is constantly changing. • 20. Psysics Behind Changes in Planetary Orbit Physics behind changes in planetary orbit April 07,2014 Oh no, a small field of asteroid the size of Pluto is heading towards Earth on a direct collision course! The Earth and all of its inhabitants are now facing certain extinction. What are the Earth s inhabitants to do? Is it possible to move the planet out of the way in time? Fortunately for humanity, there are many ways to actually change the Earth s orbit both plausible and unrealistic, but one must completely understand the physics behind each option so that no mistakes are made and we fully avoid suffering any consequences. First background information on our planet needed, Earth has been around for 4.54 billion years, it has a mass of 5.98x10^24 kg, a diameter of 12756 km, a velocity of about 67000 mph, and is about 149,597,890 km away from the Sun. To most this doesn t sound like a simple task, not knowing the trick is using Earth s orbit. An orbit is the gravitationally curved path of an object around a point in space, for example the path of a planet around the center of a star system, like in our Solar System (Encyclopedia). In order to change the orbit of a planet, one must consider the difference forces that can influence the planet s orbit: direct contact, gravitational assistance, solar sails, and the possible but not exactly plausible forces. The thought of an object coming on a collision with Earth is quite frightening, but surprisingly it could lead to our salvation. If an object of equal mass ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. 19th Century Gender Roles Gender roles and stereotypes are nothing new in human society and can be traced back to the earliest known human civilizations like the Aztecs and the Mayans where men and women preformed specific tasks in order for their societies to thrive and flourish. So there is a bit of confusion as to how somewhere down the line, 19th century civilizations diverged so far away from the original gender roles laid out by our ancestors. There is an ongoing debate on whether the federal government should regulate the insurance industry as a result of the bailouts stemming from the Financial Crisis of 2008. Currently, state governments regulate the insurance industry. Proponents of federal regulation reason that states are inefficient in the duty of insurance regulation. Additionally, the federal government has economies of scale and may offer an increase in efficiency unlike state regulation. The federal government regulates industries due to inherent systemic risk to the country s economic environment. Systemic risk is the risk of collapse of an entire financial system or market. (SOURCE) For example, banking institutions such as Lehman Brothers, Merrell Lynch, and Goldman Sachs were major contributors to the financial crisis in 2008 because these institutions were systemically significant to the market. The insurance industry and the core activities of the industry, however, were not a major contributor to near collapse of the American economy. • 30. Decline of Biblical Christianity and Rise of Modern ... Christianity has quickly begun to lose its true meaning throughout the years. It s when people use words like love and morals and common sense they just don t have the same meaning as they once did all those years ago. Christianity though, unlike the previously stated words, has been modernized in such ways that we have deceivingly altered things such as The Ten Commandments to foolishly fit our desired lifestyles. We have begun a modernization of Christianity I like to refer to as, Twenty First Century Christianity. Christianity within itself has been the most complex simple part of life many have ever had to endure, until really the late 1900 s when simplicity became the American standard for most. First it was transportation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Christianity is no longer a category in religion, but also a category of specific people ranging from, yes again, modernized Christians who talk the talk but have no desire to walk the walk; and those who are called radicles because they live out the Gospel teachings going overseas and devoting their lives to Christ. Now what are the differences between cultural (modern) Christian and biblical Christian lifestyles? Well as David Platt put it in his book Radicle, We are settling for a Christianity that revolves around catering to ourselves when the central message of Christianity is actually about abandoning ourselves. Basically, David Platt was kindly beating around the bush about us as an American culture, his book Radicle being strictly about American Christian culture, being lukewarm in our faith, relationship and devotion to Christ in the way we live. In Revelation 3:16, So, because you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Harsh? Yeah, probably a little bit, and one might see this and do what many do in this era; see it, curse it, and go about their lukewarm Christian lifestyle as they have been. You see, this is where our instant gratification society begins to crumble. To live as the Bible commands us to also involves ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. The Albanian Culture During The Ottoman Rule In Albania Culture is what connects everyone to their roots and is what plays a great part of everyone s personality. Every culture is unique and special in its own way. With this cultural project, I had an opportunity to discover a different culture other than mine. I experienced the Albanian culture. Albania is a small country in Southeastern Europe. Also, Albanians are the Balkan people who settled in Albania and they call themselves Shqiptarë . In addition to Albanian culture, there are the religions that have a great impact to their life. During the Ottoman rule in Albania, many Albanians converted to Islam. However, Albanian Christians were not forced to convert so they just remained Christian. On November 28th, 1912, Albania declared independence and was recognized as a country. After this cultural experience and events that took place I was enlightened on the great Albanian culture. In order to discover the Albanian culture, my good friend Albi allowed me to come into his home for dinner. Including Albi there were 6 people who were there to experience the culture. Furthermore, it was very exciting to not only experience a new culture, it was exciting to do it with friends. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 32. nn The reality in all of this is that we must decide ourselves who we are and what we d like to represent us...for it isn t just Americans that tune in to popular programming; there are countless others around the planet that may never come across a black woman...and the image on TV is all they have to go by. The phenomenon that black reality television has become in an overarching topic both in and outside the African American community. As the African American Community, especially women within the community continue to enjoy these shows for what they are worth, understanding both the good and bad, we must determine whether the stereotypes being emphasized and highlighted through shows like Real Housewives of Atlanta, Love and Hip Hop and Basketball Wives are detrimental to the way African American women are seen and how we see ourselves not only our generation, but for generations, decades and centuries to come. This paper will seek to not only take a closer look into two prominent African American women s character traits depicted in popular reality shows, but also to find an answer to the hovering question of whether or not they are detrimental to the way we are seen. The depiction and debate whether is be positive or negative idea of blacks in television, is a relatively new concept. The first black appeared on television was in 1950, a mere 64 years ago. Beluah was a show that depicted the lives of a white family who hired a black, overweight housekeeper who was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Social Norm Research Paper Each family has its own set of rules, which they follow on everyday routine or on some special occasions. It is funny that our parents and elder makes rules to be followed in the family but many times they don t follow them. Being youngest of the family everyone expect you to follow all the rules they have made. They themselves don t follow it, and if you question them why don t you follow it. They answer you are the youngest don t question your elders. I want to share an example, In our family we had a rule that all eating and drinking should be in kitchen area nothing should be taken to the rooms. I followed it all the time but, many times my father or my uncle will take their food in their room to eat. I ask them all the time that we are not allowed to eat and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But the reality was that they did not have any answer to give it to me. I was youngest so I was not very careful with the thing that is why they told me that to eat in the kitchen area. Since they were careful with the things and they knew that they will not drop the food in the room. So they had a luxury to eat and drink in their room. I always wondered why they don t make same rules for everyone in the home. I noticed that once you re not kid anymore you get the pilvrige of doing like your elder such as I can take my food in my room to eat if I am too busy to come out and eat it. But my younger cousins are not allowed to take their food in their rooms. They always raise the question why can I take food in my room and not them. And I answer the same thing like my elders that, you will not understand. Once someone was sick from my relative and we went to see him in the hospital. Since I was a kid so it was pretty interesting place for me. Hospital staff wearing mask and going around with medicine in their hands. We went to my uncle room to see him. I conducted this observation in a classroom in the Dillon Center during play time. The children s age ranges from 3 to 4 years old. In addition, I hope that with this observation I get a clear understanding of the three areas I m examining in preschool ages. Cognitive Development: The purpose of this section of the paper is to describe the cognitive development skills presented or not by the preschoolers. In the classroom, all children were during play time. The classroom has different play areas, such as building, painting, car races, puzzles, reading and others. That means that all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Berk Meyer (2016) make believe play is an example of the development of representation in early childhood (p.312). Play detaches from the real life conditions associated with it: During this observation, when the children were playing in the building area, they knew that the blocks were an object but that it could represent something else, such as they were building castles and towers. According to Berk Meyer (2016) by age 3, children can understand that an object may take on one fictional identity in one pretend game and another fictional identity in a different pretend game (p.312). Another group of children was playing in the toy cars area, they were pretending that they were the ones driving the car in a race. This is an example of sociodramatic play. According to Berk Meyer (2016), a sociodramatic play is the make believe play with others that is under way by the end of the second year and that increases rapidly in complexity during early childhood (p.312). Yet, I noticed that during this play time some children struggle more than others, it was hard for some children to have an understanding of roles in the game due to the fact that they couldn t follow the plot or where impatient to wait for their turn. This is a skill that children master at the end of preschool years. Interestingly, despite that many children were playing in groups, there was this one child, a boy with dark hair ... • 37. The Birth Control Of Women Appropriately called by some one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World, the birth control pill has absolutely revolutionized the lives of women around the globe. As an effective means to control if and when a woman has a child, the pill opened up doors to spaces where women weren t allowed prior. A person controlling their own fertility is an essential component of creating economic security, limiting unwanted pregnancies, and creating healthier families. There are many new options for contraception for women today, but the pill was the original catalyst in the United States for women claiming control over their fertility, career, and overall health status. The concept of family planning can be traced back to a nurse, sex educator, and political activist names Margaret Sanger. Born in 1879 to a large family (and her mother subsequently died during Margaret s birth), she was passionate about the ability for women to control their fertility and own their sexuality. Sanger is credited with opening the first birth control clinic in the United States in 1916 (Planned Parenthood, 2013). She went on to found the American Birth Control League, which eventually became Planned Parenthood. Fighting for reproductive justice through advocacy and clinics was just the beginning, however, as Sanger had an ultimate goal: a birth control pill. Being the dream she always wanted to have realized, Sanger teamed up with an experimental biologist and friend, Katherine Dexter ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
