The Exciting Life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
According to Alison M. Lewis who wrote Arthur Conan Doyle: A Life in Letters, he married a woman
named Louisa Hawkins in 1885. Twelve years later he fell in love with another lady named Jean
Elizabeth Leckie, but out of respect for his wife he kept their relationship friendly and nothing more.
Bittersweetly for Doyle, Loiusa died of tuberculosis in 1906. The next year he was wed to Jean and
they stayed together until her death in 1940 (Lewis 114). Sir Arthur Conan Doyle also had five
children in his lifetime. According to June Sawyers, the writer of Arthur Conan Doyle: A Life In
Letters, his first wife birthed two of his children and Jean Elizabeth Leckie had the other three. Mary
Louise was his first child, born in 1889, then Kingsley was born three years later. His second wife had
their first child in 1909, named Denis Percy Stewart, who married a Georgian Princess later in his life.
The other children were named Adrian Malcolm and Jean Lena Annette (Sawyers 14). Through all the
stresses of family and work, Doyle wanted to eliminate Sherlock Holmes from his busy schedule.
According to Theodore Dalrymple who wrote The Eternal Detective, Doyle had his own medical
practice set up in London, but no patients ever came. He would write while waiting for customers. He
eventually became tired of writing and wanted to kill off Sherlock Holmes because the character was
distracting him from more important issues. In 1893 he wrote The Final Problem where Holmes

Television Violence
Who should be responsible for Television Violence?
Composition II
Who should be responsible for Television Violence? Can we afford to continue ignoring the
connection between television violence and the increase in mass murders? The answer is no. We have
to take a stance now and fight for stricter regulations by the government and the Federal
Communications Committee (FCC). Television has been associated with influencing controversial
acts since the beginning of its creation. One of the most recent acts that television is being blamed for
is the violence associated Columbine High School murders in 1999. Many adults enjoy the
entertainment of bad cop versus good cop, as well as the violent acts that are ... Show more content on

This works because it helps eliminate the peer pressure amongst children who can and cannot watch
certain shows. The second half to the village theory is the way government handles certain
regulations. Currently the government assigns the FCC to regulate all media matters. The FCC
enforces laws prohibiting the airing of obscene programming at any time and the airing of indecent
programming or profane language during certain hours. The FCC also has the ability to revoke a
station license, impose a monetary forfeiture or issue a warning if any station violates the law.
However this is limited to nudity and foul language. Congress has not given the FCC power to
regulate violence. So, the message is it s more important to bleep foul language or run to commercial
if there is a wardrobe malfunction but the research that shows violence is link to aggression in children
sends no red flag. Congress has the most influence so it is time for them to become more aggressive in
regulating the time and amount of violence that currently airs. This was stated very clearly by the West
Virginia, Senator Jay Rockefeller, Congress, has not done enough to protect children and families
from the kind of violence that occurred on Dec. 14 at Sandy Hook elementary in Connecticut.

Sociology 101: General Education Assignment
Sociological Imagination and What That Means in Regard to the Wage Gap According to Ballentine in
Our Social World the sociological imagination can be best understood as [understanding] our personal
experiences and problems by examining their broader social context by looking at the big picture
(Ballentine, pg. 8). This term was coined by sociologist C. Wright Mills in his book published in 1959.
Mills believed that problems in our personal lives were usually caused by discrepancies or issues with
our society or world as a whole. One example of this type of problem deals with the wage gap
between males and females in the United States.

The God, Son, And Holy Spirit, By Dr. Bruce Ware
Would God have chosen to reveal himself to us as the one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
unless he knew that this would be important to our understanding of him and of our faith? Must it not
be the case that God cares greatly that we get it, that we see him for who he is? And must it not matter
to our own lives, whether or not we understand him as the triune God that he is? (13) This is the very
heart of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Relationships, Roles, and Relevance, by Dr. Bruce Ware,
Senior Associate Dean and Professor of Christian Theology, at the Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Louisville, KY. The book was initially written for the purpose of teaching at a pastor s
conference, but with the help of his diligent secretary was composed into a book. Through the
perseverance of his secretary and Dr. Ware s gifted theological teaching, we now have what one critic
considers a thorough theological treatise that any biblically literate layman can understand. (Paige
Patterson) This theological treatise is divided into six main chapters, that each focus on the Trinitarian
doctrine. Understanding the doctrine of the Trinity is essential to the Christian faith, which is the
central goal of this book. The main focus of this study is to examine the ways in which the three
Persons of the Trinity relate to one another, how they relate to us, and what difference this makes to
our lives. Dr. Ware accomplishes this through discussing the wonder of each

River flows from the side of the hill named Xiangshan; Students work in the quiet garden view

For students and teachers, having a chance to be in this cultural environment is a life s fortune.
Although today s social life is so different from the past, people are getting harder to focus on pure
academic research because of the distractions from daily affairs. Especially for higher degree students
that rely on independent research, which provides freedom, but also brings the problems of shallow
research. Currently, the higher degree education in contemporary ceramic art of Asian should
construct its own value system that suits Eastern culture and aesthetic. The views of above aspects had
formed the exhibition s main concept.
The Asian art academies are facing the same situation in the higher degree education of ceramic art.
The day to day teaching needs new energy and clear direction; the homogeneity in teaching should be
avoided, and the lack of uniqueness should be made up. So, we need to focus on the root of problem

Regulating Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is defined as the pressure of blood as it s applied to the walls of blood vessels when the
heart contracts. Blood pressure is important to homeostasis in the body because it helps maintain
temperature and proper delivery of nutrients to the body. The kidneys depend on blood pressure for
helping it filter blood and they also control one of the mechanisms for regulating blood pressure called
long term blood pressure control. When the blood pressure is low, the kidneys release
substance/enzyme called renin. Renin causes the production of a chemical known as angiotensin 2
through this cascade of reactions. Then, Angiotensin 2 causes constriction of blood vessels which
means the lessening of the diameter in the blood vessels. When blood vessels are constricted the blood
pressure rises. Another gland also helps out. This is called the adrenal gland. In this process, the
adrenal cortex on the outside of the adrenal gland releases a substance called aldosterone in the
presence of angiotensin 2. This substance increases sodium reabsorption in the body. This also
increases water reabsorption. In addition, the reabsorbed water increases the blood volume which also
increases the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the blood pressure drops there will be less blood and oxygen to the brain. This is therefore an
increase in Osmolaraty. The Hypothalamus of the patient will send signals to the posterior pituitary of
the patient which in turn will release release ADH. ADH acts to insert aquaporin s into the collecting
duct, allowing water to flow out of the filtrate passively and this will stimulate the reabsorption of
water therefore replacing the lost water back into the water stream and then the patient s cells. This is
the long term Mechanism. Furthermore, this will also be detected by the short term

The Moral Logic Of Survivor Guilt In The Seventh Man By...
In war, standing here rather than there can save your life but cost a buddy his. It s flukish luck, but you
feel responsible. (Sherman 153). In The Moral Logic of Survivor Guilt, Nancy Sherman uses this
quote to explain the basis of survivor guilt in war. In The Seventh Man by Haruki Murakami, the
narrator failed to save his closest friend from a wave. As Sherman said in her quote, people often feel
guilty when they survive a situation that others didn t. The narrator s situation in The Seventh Man is a
perfect example of this. Despite his failure to save K., the narrator should still forgive himself.
The Seventh Man was unsuccessful in saving his childhood friend, K. In spite of his lack of success,
he should not have to live with guilt about this for his entire life. In Sherman s editorial, she states
that, Subjective guilt, associated with this sense of responsibility, is thought to be irrational because
one feels guilty despite the fact that he knows he has done nothing wrong. (Sherman 154). The
Seventh Man did not do anything wrong, therefore, if he were to feel guilt, it would be subjective. The
failure to fulfil a task due to fear or another overpowering feeling is not the same as doing something
incorrectly. The Seventh Man says, What made me do this, I m sure, was fear, a fear so overpowering
it took my voice away and set my legs to running on their own. (Murakami 138). This statement
illustrates how he desperately wanted to do the right thing and run to his friend, but his feelings and
subconscious thoughts drove him to do the opposite. This is something a person cannot be blamed for.
Therefore, it would only be reasonable for the Seventh Man to forgive himself for what occurred.
It is simple to argue that the Seventh Man should not forgive himself for failing to save K. One may
assert that the narrator could have physically warned K. by giving him a slight shove or patting him on
the back. Although this is logical, if one were to literally put him or herself in the Seventh Man s
situation, he or she would recognize the overwhelming amount of thoughts running through his head
in the moment. In The Key to Disaster Survival? Friends and Neighbors, Shankar Vedantam reports
about a 2004

Taming Of The Shrew Research Paper
In the play taming of the shrew and 10 things I hate about you, I believe relationships are shown
differently because in 10 things I hate about you relationships are shown through just dating out of
fun/ love instead of in taming of the shrew where it was about money and kind of an agreement with
the father and no choice for the women. This is seen in the relationships of Katherine and Petruchio.
The difference between the relationship of Katherine and Petruchio in the play Taming Of the Shrew
and 10 Things I Hate About You. We recently read the play Taming Of The Shrew where we met
characters like Katherine and Petruchio who were getting married and petruchio was basically in the
relationship for her money. In the movie on the other hand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In the movie the relationship was started off based around money and he eventually started to fall in
love with her, she also had to fall for him where in the play she didn t really have a choice she just had
to marry him because her father said. For I am he born to tame you, Kate, and bring you from a wild
Kate to a Kate conformable as other household kates. This shows their relationship because of the
time period on how he was responsible for making her his woman and she wouldn t really tame
herself and she didn t have a choice. I think Petruchio really did love her he just didn t know how to
show it because of the time period. In the movie he treated his women way better and actually took
care of her when she was drunk and cared for her way more than in the play where he basically hated
her and just wanted to marry her for her money. In the play petruchio wouldn t even stay at their
wedding and he wanted to leave but Kat wouldn t. Their relationship in the play was very directed and
structured around money where in the movie it was more surrounded around there feelings and how

Frank Addante Case
1. Entrepreneurial Motivation Frank Addante got his motivation to work from financing his college
life in the first years. He worked on his own, sold and installed car alarms and automatic starters.
From this time on he continued to earn money through ad hoc jobs to make his way through college,
but he was always conscious for good ideas, which he could transform into businesses. This chance
was given when he installed some high speed communication lines for an office where two mar keting
companies had their headquarters. When the owners of the two companies were argu ing about any
new ideas, they came up with a search engine for the internet. Addante was listening to them and came

Another thing that could be seen as a motivation of founding the venture was Frank s idea of forming
a Dream Team for the marketing and technology sections. But Zondigo could not satisfy all of
Addante s motiva tions of founding ventures because the fast growth of Zondigo was averted by
missing outside funding. This problem was caused by several changes in the business plan. Addante
had to adjust his ideas and adapt them to the investment community. After he finally received out side
funding he realized that there was no market for his idea so he returned the funding to his investors.
Frank Addante founded his fifth venture together with Tim McQuillen. Again he had the mo tivation
of creating a business out of a new idea but this time Addante made sure that there is a market for his
products. With reference to Frank Addante s motivation of holding equity it can be said that he
decided to keep himself motivated with an adequate stake of the venture s equity. Firstly, Addante did
not want to run his Strong Mail venture as the CEO because he wanted to concentrate on the holding
company he had created before he founded Strong Mail . But after Frank detected a strong market for
Strong Mail s products he felt that he needed to jump in and lead the company. He also felt the
motivation of working together with his friend and former employee Tim McQuillen, with whom
Addante had worked together well in his former ventures.

William Carlos Williams Philomena Andronica And Gertrude...
William Carlos Williams Philomena Andronica and Gertrude Stein s Identity, a poem are both visually
and tonally very different texts. However, Stein and Williams have both used similar approaches to
literary form in their poems as can be seen in their non traditional approach to meaning generation and
rejection of grammatical convention. The poems also both show an interest in the notion of identity
and it s fluidity, although Stein employs repeated images in her investigation whilst Williams approach
lies in his clever use of parenthesis and vignette form.
The two texts both take an approach to punctuation and formatting that strays from grammatical
convention. The passage from Stein s Identity, a Poem presents a syntactic exploration of the idea
identity and self. By rejecting the form that the reader expects of a poem, Stein guides her readers to
an understanding of how language shapes identity. One example of this is the use of a full stop where
grammatical rule dictates there should be a question mark, and if the little dog is not there is it alone.
The lack of expected punctuation makes the reader question the idea that meaning is dependent on
grammatical conventions; why do we need a question mark in order to understand the words as a
question? Stein also uses a mixture of prose and poetic voice in her poem. By contrasting lines such as
I say two dogs but say a dog and a dog, which is distinctly poetic, with lines with a prosaic tone The

Wendy Cope Reading Scheme Summary
Wendy Cope: Reading Scheme
When I was younger I had no idea what this world held for me. I was innocent. As a child, I was
innocent of mortality, as a teen hope, and as a young adult love. However, later on that innocence took
on the role of ignorance. Not in the sense of not being knowledgeable or educated on the subject but
rather knowing it all too well that I choose to not acknowledge it. Innocence can be served as an
instrument to tune out your surroundings when things take a toll. It can be an illusion from reality to
protect what one desires to be true feel rather than what is actual. In Wendy Cope s poem Reading
Scheme, Cope writes about the child s viewpoint of an affair by using the villanelle form to illustrate
the inability of children to make connections and ultimately argue that innocence is simply an illusion.
In order to understand the illusion of innocence in Wendy Cope s poem we must first familiarize
ourselves on the subject of innocence and how, depending on the mindset, it is defined. Also, we must
alert ourselves of Cope s writing style and the purpose of her writing. According to the article
Archaeology: the loss of innocence, the loss of disciplinary innocence is the price of expanding
consciousness...the loss is irreversible and the prize substantial (Clarke 6). Are we rewarded when our
innocence abandons us or has suffering begun because now things are seen in a different aspect. The
author of the article, David Clarke, claims innocence is a continuous losing process (Clarke 6). We
continue to loss some sort of innocence into our teens, adulthood, and even our later years. It is when
we choose to open ourselves to new experiences that our innocence beforehand disappears. Cope is
well known for her manner of addressing serious or grave topics in a humorous way. Her writing style
has double meaning to it. The serious tone of it hides between the lines of humor. The poem is about a
mother having an affair with the milkman. Toward the end of the poem the husband returns home and
discovers what his wife has done then goes after the milkman. All the while the children, Peter and
Jane, are watching the event but also getting distracted by other things that are happen like Look at the

American Religion in Long Days Journey into Night Essay
American Religion in Long Days Journey into Night
The modernist sentiments throughout Long Days Journey into Night, by Eugene O Neill, are apparent
in many different ways. Among the methods he used was the portrayal of America s withdrawal from
traditional religion and modes of behavior. He used his immigrant Irish family, the Tyrones, as a
pedestal for this idea by highlighting their departure from traditional Irish beliefs and their struggle to
form new, uniquely American, ones. O Neill did this by repeatedly evoking a drastic difference
between his character s conduct and their Irish Catholic counterparts. He replaced the ... Show more

forgiven from God through a priest. They were in a rut of their own creation, and they

Comparing The American Revolution and The American Civil...
As we study American history we see that the saying, History repeats itself reveals much truth. As we
look closer at the American Revolution and the American Civil War, we can find many similarities
between the two. Another saying that is made known is that We learn from our mistakes, ; but even the
greatest men and women of our history did not follow. The main causes for both wars were the fight
for liberty. If we are to analyze this issue in both wars, we see that the conclusion of one war leads to
the beginning of another. As Semisonic sings, Every new beginning comes from some other

A pamphlet authored by Thomas Paine, became a real best seller and many after reading such
literature were ready to fight for their freedom. These legislatures were derived from the King of
England George III. He soon became the most disliked man in American homes. The Revolution War
brought the people together in a patriotic manner. Soon, a document that would change the lives of
many was constituted for the citizens of America. The Declaration of Independence was then formed
and granted all men freedom and equality.
Freedom was finally rewarded to Americans, but how they manipulate, it was up to them. Was
freedom and equality guaranteed for all men and women? Studying history we see that it does differ
and in the Declaration it states, all men are created equal. ; This gets interpreted as all white men are
created equal. In having such frame of mind, civilians began disputing. Not for the equal rights
primarily, but for the unlawful slavery that was occurring. This time in history many laws and acts
were distributed but often ignored such as the Fugitive Slave Acts 1850 and the Wilmont Proviso of
1846. Both were set for the benefits in trying to start the unchaining of slavery. Similarly to the
Revolution, the Americans can be compared with the slaves of the United States. In parallel with

Chronic Acalculous Cholecystitis
When a patient comes with abdominal pain, it can be due to different causes. The pain may be
visceral, somatoparietal or referred pain as an indicator of a wide variety of systemic and local causes.
Visceral pain is from abdominal distention or stretching of the muscle fibers, carried by sympathetic
nerve fibers, presents as dull, poorly localized pain in the mid areas of the abdomen. Somatic pain
occurs once the parietal peritoneum is inflamed or irritated, and passed by sensory fibers. Somatic
pain is better defined and more localized, high intensity, and also associated with tenderness and
spasm of the localized muscle groups.

Political Cartoon Patriotism Or Treason
Patriotism or Treason
1. Political cartoons can be interpreted in many ways. People have all types of opinions. Whenever I
looked at the picture for the first time I thought about many things. I saw that the Boston people were
forcing the tea down his throat. Also, I noticed that the guy on the right of the man being tarred and
feathered had him on a leash or rope of some kind and he was holding a stick. Since he was being
tarred and feathered, I will assume it was a British official. In the background I saw the sailors on the
ship dumping the tea, which would be the Boston Tea Party. Another interesting thing that I saw was a
rope on the Liberty Tree with a document on the tree. The document was of the Stamp Act upside

things that we don t want to pay for. If they were going to tax the tea, then we do not want it anymore.
I should not have to pay taxes on tea, because I did not ask for it. I am pouring the tea, because I am

more information about the Liberty Tree and that is what I had found. The British officials would take
people there to tar them and feather them. The significance of a noose next to the term Liberty Tree is
pretty ironic. Liberty means freedom and a noose does the exact opposite. A noose is to hang people,

Essay about The Road to the American Civil War
The majority of speculations regarding the causes of the American Civil War are in some relation to
slavery. While slavery was a factor in the disagreements that led to the Civil War, it was not the
solitary or primary cause. There were three other, larger causes that contributed more directly to the
beginning of the secession of the southern states and, eventually, the start of the war. Those three
causes included economic and social divergence amongst the North and South, state versus national
rights, and the Supreme Court s ruling in the Dred Scott case. Each of these causes involved slavery in
some way, but were not exclusively based upon slavery. The North and South were forming

The South had some urbanization, in cities such as Atlanta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina.
These cities served as transportation hubs, mainly for the transporting of goods, specifically cotton.
The South would transport cotton to the northern industries to produce finished goods from the cotton.
The transportation hubs and railroad systems existed more often in the North than in the South,
because there were more large cities. Due to the North and South existing with completely diverse
demographics, geographies, and economies they were unable to understand the needs of one another
in reference to the continuation of their thriving economies. With the North becoming more urbanized
and based on industry, its power was also growing. The bulk of politics, transportation, and industry
all existed in the North. The South began forming an opinion that new political decisions were being
made in the North s favor, and threatening the expansion of slavery, which threatened the expansion of
their economic growth. This began with the formation of Henry Clay s Missouri Compromise of 1820,
which let Missouri come into the Union as a slave state, and Maine would come in as a free state. This
established a clear separation, at the southern border of Missouri, between the slave and free states,

Blame For Measure, By William Shakespeare
The great Shakespeare once again presents a play of mystery, confusion, multiple weddings, and
death. Measure for Measure is another great example of the literary tools that are often used by
Shakespeare. In this play, great issues arise quickly after Claudio impregnates Juliet consensually. Of
course, the chaos did not occur until after the Duke decided to leave town and leave Angelo in charge,
as a tactic to regain strict law throughout the city. Power hungry Angelo does everything he can to
punish and use Claudio as an example to the rest of the town as to why following law is highly
important. Claudio s sister and the disguised duke come up with a plan to circumvent the ruling of
Angelo and eventually use his previous actions as blackmail. This play takes constant turns left and
right as different characters take charge of the happenings of Claudio. In the end, the duke reclaims his
chair of power and Claudio is pardoned, all because of the chance of fate. Many critics have read this

Gum Disease Analysis
We use the latest technology to effectively treat gum disease. We can treat mild to moderate gum
disease as well as many cases of severe gum disease. We have saved many of our patients from having
to have surgery.
Testing for gum disease
In your patient exam we do an analysis of your gums pocket depth . A pocket that is too deep indicates
a build up of plaque, a sticky substance made up of bacteria and tartar, or calculus (hardened plaque).
Mild gum disease is known as gingivitis; untreated gum disease can lead to periodontitis, putting you
in danger of losing your teeth and other complications.
It is important to treat gum disease thoroughly so we have trained our hygienists in the latest and most
effective techniques and technology. Our hygienists get considerably more continuing education than
the normal so that they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gum Disease Treatment
Your treatment starts with deep cleaning using an ultrasonic scaler. Ultrasonic scalers use sound waves
to break down plaque and calculus and is generally more effective and gentle than hand scalers. With
the ultrasonic scaler we can get down to below the gum line to the base of the pocket.
We use our soft tissue laser to fully disinfect your gums and, as needed, ARESTIN® antibiotic
therapy. The tiny laser beam is aimed between the gum tissue and teeth where it painlessly removes
and kills bacteria.
In ARESTIN® therapy time release microspheres of antibiotic are placed below the gum line in the
infected pockets. Once your treatment has finished, you will be educated on how to best keep your
gums free of disease.

Princess Mononoke
The Japanese ethnic religion, Shinto heavily focuses on power manifested in natural things such as
rivers, mountains, and forests. These beliefs are carried out to establish a connection between the
present Japan and its ancient past. In the movie Princess Mononoke ,a depiction of man made
problems, such as deforestation, pollution, and global warming negatively impacting the environment.
The Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, encourages the audience to take a closer look at the impact of
humanity s greed on the surrounding environment. The theme of Princess Mononoke reflects on
consequences of environmental destruction and argues that humans should show more respect towards
nature in order for us to solve the conflicts between human and nature. By nature, humans are rarely
satisfied with their current status. This forms a type of stigma amongst humans to want more. This
proves to be true when Lady Eboshi, leader of Iron Town, fights the protagonist Ashitaka, prince of
the Emishi Village, and reveals her greed and true demon. This is detrimental towards the forest and
the animal gods because the deforestation was used to profit Iron Town and weaken the animal gods.

Prosecutions In Victorian London
Prosecutions in Victorian London By:Justice Crawford
Over two hundred years ago in Victorian London, merchants would cut thieves fingers off for stealing
fruit from their market. In the early nineteenth century, court conditions and the treatment of both the
victim and the accused was very different from today. Trials in court were often very quick.
Prosecutors, judges and jurors had more power and choice. Punishments varied based on the criminals
social class and gender. If the accuser was pleaded guilty it would be nearly impossible to plead their
innocence even if there was significant evidence. The Victorians were very distraught about crime.

Since whites were the settlers of London they had more privileges than immigrants and blacks. In the
article, Victorian London written by David Ross, Ross explains the life of a regular citizen in Victorian
London. During the time where immigrants and blacks migrated to London, whites started to make
their own local police force called Bobbies . On page 12, Ross writes In 1829 Sir Robert Peel founded
the Metropolitan Police to handle law and order in areas outside the City proper. These police became
known as Bobbies after their founder. The early part of the 19th century was the golden age of steam.
The first railway in London was built from London Bridge to Greenwich in 1836, and a great railway

The Little Black Book Of Supervision Essay
In The Little Black Book Of Supervision , Chapter 4 of Managerial Skills, Gil Sargent stresses upon
the importance of planning and organizing in the workplace. The company s resources, personnel
time, tools and equipment should be managed properly. If these are not managed properly, then it can
cost a firm fortune (Sargent, 2003). It is, therefore, necessary that manager should put to use the time
and work study. It means how much time is taken to do a particular work while at a job. Once it is
done, employees should be told about managing time. A firm will not be able to achieve results if they
are not getting the equipment necessary to time. Before organizing, it is very essential to plan
beforehand. As planning is the first and foremost step. In planning one decides, what is to be done,
when is to do and how something is to be done. It controls the work. take note of the losses such as
time lost by employees, any material losses and equipment and tools losses. Most important thing to
note here is that scheduling is just assigning tasks. It does not mean that effective planning has been
done. The process of organizing begins from analyzing the work, then the plan has to be refined and at
the end implement the plan (Sargent, 2003).
Motivation is a key to get the work done from employees. Employees reward system decides to how
to keep the employee happy and motivated. These should be designed in a way that makes an
employee work on their own. Rewards system only work if

Caesars first character motivation was his ego. I do not know the man I should fear. See the weather

Analyzing Laura s Poem
I wrote this sonnet as an assignment for my English class this year. The prompt asked us to write a
sonnet for something or someone we loved and cared for, so I chose my older sister Laura as my love
for her is a complex and evolving matter that I felt needed to be expressed into poetry. The sonnet
describes her as I know her to be: caring, loved, genuine, warm, yet humble as well. It follows the
format of a classic Shakespearean sonnet, with three quatrains and a couplet. The first two quatrains of
my sonnet praise her and introduce my jealousy for her radiance. In the third quatrain, there is a
turning point. I begin by developing the idea of my jealousy, but then I have a change of heart. The
couplet concludes the sonnet, describing my changed perspective.
The first two quatrains express my love for my sister, as well as the jealousy I have housed for her
since childhood. The first quatrain explains how ever since I was young, I have always known that she
is truly and freely loving and supportive of everyone around her. At times in my childhood, I believed
that I lacked all of these traits and saw myself as her negative counterpart. In the next quatrain, I point
out that though she has always had a strong group of friends and people devoted to her, ... Show more

Being loving and warm is not something to be jealous of but something to strive for. It was useless to
mimic her activities and her hobbies if I continued to hold resentment for her, as I know that she
would never do the same for me. Her love is not exclusive and spreads to everyone around her,
including myself. Because of this, I changed my metaphor from earlier, now comparing Laura to the
sun and myself to ice, her warmth melting away my coldness. Just by being around her, I can be
happier and kinder. Truly kind and genuine people spread their kindness and do not need to replicate

Greatest Conceivable Being Research Paper
There are many ways to go about justifying a belief in the Greatest Conceivable Being. There are
numerous disputes to argue a theistic position, but there are also many fallacies that people use in an
unjustified way to prove the existence of God. Using strong evidence mainly from the cosmological
argument, the theory that everything happens as a cause of something before it leading all the way
back to a first existence, and the argument of design, stating that the complexity of nature could only
be explained by a sentient designer, a Greatest Conceivable Being must exist.
The cosmological argument discusses the idea that everything is an effect of a cause. Everything
happens due to something else, and all of that had to have begun somewhere at sometime. If you go
back all the way to the beginning of time and the commencement of the universe, something had to
have happened to caused for this to occur. This is what is believed to be the work of a Greatest
Conceivable Being. Everything in the world that exists, exists because something else caused it,
including the world itself. Thomas Aquinas established his own version of this cosmological theory by
saying, whatever is moved must be moved by another...but this cannot go on to infinity, because there
would be no first mover ( The Five Ways ). This theory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Challenges Posed For Religious Believers By Religious
The challenges posed for religious believers by Religious diversity will be discussed in this paper.
First, one must understand what Religious diversity is. Religious Diversity refers to religions making
mutually exclusive claims that contradict one another. For this discussion, Religious Diversity will
focus on contradictory claims on reaching salvation and connecting with god depending upon ones
personal religion. This discussion pertains to all major western religions like Judaism, Islam, and
Christianity especially, but other religions as well that claim to be the one absolute religion. These
contradictions leave a religious individual with the dilemma of constructing an argument that

For example, numerous religions like Hinduism or Judaism were being practiced thousands of years
prior to Christianity s founding. How can one understand all those peoples existences? It does not
seem plausible to believe that their lives were pointless and they had no connection to god, or no
chance of reaching salvation due to their time of birth. To be punished for something that is out of
ones control is not plausible for an all powerful and merciful god to do. Another problem with
religious exclusivism is how to understand pious people from various religions and cultures. It is not
plausible that there are some individuals, from all different backgrounds, that in every sense of the
word are exceptional humans whether it be through charity, generosity, kindness, or just being a moral
person. Some of these concepts like being a good person or being a moral person are subjective, but
the basic foundation of being a moral person, at least from a western monotheistic perspective,
appears to be do unto others as you would want done unto yourself, also known as the golden rule. If
one is aware that these pious people exist as followers of all religions, then one has to conclude that it
is a flawed argument to suggest that these individuals would not achieve salvation simply due to
which god they pray to. Other questions that arise when discussing Religious Exclusivism are; If
Christianity is the

The Competition Between Coca Cola And Coca-Cola
In economics, competition is where rivalry is portrayed in terms of achieving the goal such as

A Different Approach About Ikea s Success
A different approach about Ikea s success is given by Sara Kristofferson in her book Designed by Ikea,

Swedes love Ikea and Ikea itself shows its origins by his colors, his democratic policy and even the
food they serve inside of their stores. In one way we could assert that Ikea sells the swedishness
through its products and it does that by using narratives, that might not be always true, but they help
us to remember and associate Ikea with Sweden.
Ikea has powerful connections with Swedish government and swedish people, indeed no other
companies in the world represents so well the country of origin and its traditions.
It is from this colossal and so appreciated company that this essay aims to rise a more critical

Microeconomic Principles
I. DEFINITIONS Net Profit Margin (NPM) NPM of a firm is simply the percentage of net income
(NI) from total operating revenue (TOR). This indicates, after subtracting tax, how much profit the
firm has generated. For example, if IKEA accumulates, over a single period, total sales revenue of
$100M, but recapitalizes part of that income (about $50M), and needs to pay tax of 40% of the
earnings, it will end up with a free cash flow of $30M. NPM is simply $30M / $100M x 100%, which
equals 30%. Capital Capital includes any long term assets that are invested into an organization for it
to be able to run its operations, whether providing goods or services. For example, if there is a start up

Monopoly A monopoly of a market will exist when three attributes are identified: there is only one
producer, there are barriers to enter such a market, and there are no close substitutes for the product.
This produces a perfectly inelastic demand curve. In a hypothetical example, Schrute Farms is a large
coffee bean producer. It is a family business and has been for years, and it does not produce its coffee

maintaining its exclusivity for the product. Business Profit versus Economic Profits Business profit or
accounting profit is simply the net income of a company (total revenue minus total expenses),
however an economic profit is a tougher profit to achieve. This is because it takes into account the
missing investment opportunities. For example, if investment option A generates a 50% return while
investment option B only generates 10% and option A was chosen exclusively: the business profit
would simply be that of option A (50%) while the economic profit would be 50% 10% = 40%.

American Football Players Analysis
Starting Safely: Positions in American Football Positions are important in every aspect of life, from
lying in bed to driving a car. Where one being is in relation to another is extremely vital to the well
being and safety of those involved. In What is the Safest Sprint Starting Position for American
Football Players?, an expository text about a scientific experiment, authors Bruno Bonnechere, Benoit
Beyer, Marcel Rooze, and Jan Serge Van Sint claim that they have isolated the correct position
American football players should use when playing. This optimal position is the one most likely to
protect the players and prevent any severe head injuries from occurring on the field. In the beginning
of this article, the authors discuss the current dangers facing many football players of concussions and
long term effects of injuries to the head and neck. Due to these major risks, an experiment was
conducted with both football players and non players to determine the best starting position to lower
the potential damage from collisions. These athletes participated in many study trials with the different
beginning placements of the trunk and head in relation to the ground. They were tested ... Show more

This position is widely used, regardless of how risky it is for the players involved. However, there is
no perfect solution; there s only a better one. The experiment showed that it is difficult to determine
the optimal position due to the conflict of good performance vs. low chance of harm (Bonnechere,
2014). The authors chose to propose a balance between two positions that offers a medium risk,
especially if there has been previous trauma experienced by a player. If a football player has had a
concussion before or is at a higher chance of receiving one, the 2 point start is the safest out of all
three positions studied (Bonnechere,

Mark s Great Commission Research Paper
Mark s Great Commission Out of all three Synoptic Gospel s, Mark s Gospel is the shortest as well as
the first Gospel to be written. . Moreover, scholars suggest that the Gospel of Mark is a summary of
Peter s sermon in the house of Cornelius (Acts 10). Additionally, Mark s Gospel ends with a
commission similar to the other Gospels. Whereas the other Gospels commissions are similar, Mark is
the only gospel that addresses the problem of reception and rejection of the gospel. In Matthew s
gospel, Matthew focuses on discipleship, obedience to Jesus teachings, and all nations of the world.
On the other hand, Mark s gospel focuses on preaching, good news, and reaching every creature. The
differences discovered between the two gospels are not contradictory, but rather, they complement
each other and give added insight to the church. George Peters maps out Mark s Gospel in three
categories
Mark s Methodology of Mission

The Missions Focus The World
The Message of Mission The Gospel of Jesus Christ
For Mark, preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to the world is priority in his commission. Through

Mark s proclamation for the Gospel was, Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and was raised from the
dead (1Cor 15:3 5). Furthermore there are two important factors of the gospel message that must be
considered. First, the Gospel message is centered on Christ. Because of the influx of many false
teachers and preachers who are in the world and church today it is imperative that the true and living
Christ be preached correctly and effectively. Secondly, the gospel of Christ should not be altered to fit
individual s personal desires; however, it the gospel is altered then the gospel is no longer a true

The U.s. Pharmaceutical Industry
The U.S. pharmaceutical industry is continuously growing and profiting. How these industries profit
and grow in the current status of the American business is caused by various factors such as demand
of the citizens, change in marketing and competition. To understand how the factors added to the
increase in profit and growth of the pharmaceutical industries, we need to know how it was founded
and industrialized.
In an article written by Robin Walsh for Pharmaphorum the history of pharmaceutical industries can
be seen as a multi stage development. One of it is the root of the pharmaceutical industry lying back
with apothecaries and pharmacies that offers traditional remedies as far back as the Middle Ages.
The spread of rationalism and experimentation is a scientific revolution that occurred in the 17th
century and increased the profit of pharmaceutical industries. The

The manufacturing of pharmaceuticals was done through druggist; they were forced to learn how to
manufacture it due to the revolutionary war. After acquiring such knowledge, they were invested and
these druggists were among the earliest to manufacture general chemicals in the U.S.

The American Association of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAID, 2013) states an,
intellectual disability is a disability characterized by significant limitations in both intellectual

Pros And Negatives Of The Gold Rush
The Gold Rush was a period of time that totally transformed the United States. The Gold Rush
expanded America and added new and improved culture into the country. People came from far and
wide to search for gold and hunt for newfound money. So much gold was found it gave a lot of people
that did not have money hope. It gave considerable positives like temporary economic stability and the
ultimate expansion of America. Even though the Gold Rush encouraged some economic stability, it
was ultimately harmful because it caused economic recession, it kept the country in economic chaos
for too long a period, and expanded xenophobia due to the influx of outsiders coming for gold. The
United States of America was in absolute turmoil right before the Gold Rush due to tensions regarding
slavery. On the East Coast there was the debate over slavery and there were talks about secession from
the South. No state had discerned whether or not to secede yet, but there were talks including the
Missouri Compromise and the Nullification Crisis. The Missouri Compromise was a compromise
created by Henry Clay to maintain the balance of slave and free states in the Union. The Nullification
Crisis was when the North and South had so many disagreements a compromise was made where if
two thirds of a state decided they wanted to nullify a law they could. On the west coast, the Mexican
American war was coming to a close. This was a territorial war that took place near the Rio Grande.

  • 2. The Exciting Life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle According to Alison M. Lewis who wrote Arthur Conan Doyle: A Life in Letters, he married a woman named Louisa Hawkins in 1885. Twelve years later he fell in love with another lady named Jean Elizabeth Leckie, but out of respect for his wife he kept their relationship friendly and nothing more. Bittersweetly for Doyle, Loiusa died of tuberculosis in 1906. The next year he was wed to Jean and they stayed together until her death in 1940 (Lewis 114). Sir Arthur Conan Doyle also had five children in his lifetime. According to June Sawyers, the writer of Arthur Conan Doyle: A Life In Letters, his first wife birthed two of his children and Jean Elizabeth Leckie had the other three. Mary Louise was his first child, born in 1889, then Kingsley was born three years later. His second wife had their first child in 1909, named Denis Percy Stewart, who married a Georgian Princess later in his life. The other children were named Adrian Malcolm and Jean Lena Annette (Sawyers 14). Through all the stresses of family and work, Doyle wanted to eliminate Sherlock Holmes from his busy schedule. According to Theodore Dalrymple who wrote The Eternal Detective, Doyle had his own medical practice set up in London, but no patients ever came. He would write while waiting for customers. He eventually became tired of writing and wanted to kill off Sherlock Holmes because the character was distracting him from more important issues. In 1893 he wrote The Final Problem where Holmes plummeted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Can we afford to continue ignoring the connection between television violence and the increase in mass murders? The answer is no. We have to take a stance now and fight for stricter regulations by the government and the Federal Communications Committee (FCC). Television has been associated with influencing controversial acts since the beginning of its creation. One of the most recent acts that television is being blamed for is the violence associated Columbine High School murders in 1999. This works because it helps eliminate the peer pressure amongst children who can and cannot watch certain shows. The second half to the village theory is the way government handles certain regulations. Currently the government assigns the FCC to regulate all media matters. The FCC enforces laws prohibiting the airing of obscene programming at any time and the airing of indecent programming or profane language during certain hours. The FCC also has the ability to revoke a station license, impose a monetary forfeiture or issue a warning if any station violates the law. However this is limited to nudity and foul language. Congress has not given the FCC power to regulate violence. So, the message is it s more important to bleep foul language or run to commercial if there is a wardrobe malfunction but the research that shows violence is link to aggression in children sends no red flag. Congress has the most influence so it is time for them to become more aggressive in regulating the time and amount of violence that currently airs. This was stated very clearly by the West Virginia, Senator Jay Rockefeller, Congress, has not done enough to protect children and families from the kind of violence that occurred on Dec. 14 at Sandy Hook elementary in Connecticut. This term was coined by sociologist C. Wright Mills in his book published in 1959. Mills believed that problems in our personal lives were usually caused by discrepancies or issues with our society or world as a whole. • 5. The God, Son, And Holy Spirit, By Dr. Bruce Ware Would God have chosen to reveal himself to us as the one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, unless he knew that this would be important to our understanding of him and of our faith? Must it not be the case that God cares greatly that we get it, that we see him for who he is? And must it not matter to our own lives, whether or not we understand him as the triune God that he is? (13) This is the very heart of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Relationships, Roles, and Relevance, by Dr. Bruce Ware, Senior Associate Dean and Professor of Christian Theology, at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. The book was initially written for the purpose of teaching at a pastor s conference, but with the help of his diligent secretary was composed into a book. Through the perseverance of his secretary and Dr. Ware s gifted theological teaching, we now have what one critic considers a thorough theological treatise that any biblically literate layman can understand. (Paige Patterson) This theological treatise is divided into six main chapters, that each focus on the Trinitarian doctrine. Understanding the doctrine of the Trinity is essential to the Christian faith, which is the central goal of this book. The main focus of this study is to examine the ways in which the three Persons of the Trinity relate to one another, how they relate to us, and what difference this makes to our lives. For students and teachers, having a chance to be in this cultural environment is a life s fortune. Although today s social life is so different from the past, people are getting harder to focus on pure academic research because of the distractions from daily affairs. Especially for higher degree students that rely on independent research, which provides freedom, but also brings the problems of shallow research. Currently, the higher degree education in contemporary ceramic art of Asian should construct its own value system that suits Eastern culture and aesthetic. The views of above aspects had formed the exhibition s main concept. The Asian art academies are facing the same situation in the higher degree education of ceramic art. The day to day teaching needs new energy and clear direction; the homogeneity in teaching should be avoided, and the lack of uniqueness should be made up. So, we need to focus on the root of problem and plan ahead. • 7. Regulating Blood Pressure Blood pressure is defined as the pressure of blood as it s applied to the walls of blood vessels when the heart contracts. Blood pressure is important to homeostasis in the body because it helps maintain temperature and proper delivery of nutrients to the body. The kidneys depend on blood pressure for helping it filter blood and they also control one of the mechanisms for regulating blood pressure called long term blood pressure control. When the blood pressure is low, the kidneys release substance/enzyme called renin. Renin causes the production of a chemical known as angiotensin 2 through this cascade of reactions. Then, Angiotensin 2 causes constriction of blood vessels which means the lessening of the diameter in the blood vessels. When blood vessels are constricted the blood pressure rises. Another gland also helps out. This is called the adrenal gland. In this process, the adrenal cortex on the outside of the adrenal gland releases a substance called aldosterone in the presence of angiotensin 2. This substance increases sodium reabsorption in the body. This also increases water reabsorption. In addition, the reabsorbed water increases the blood volume which also increases the ... (Sherman 153). In The Moral Logic of Survivor Guilt, Nancy Sherman uses this quote to explain the basis of survivor guilt in war. In The Seventh Man by Haruki Murakami, the narrator failed to save his closest friend from a wave. As Sherman said in her quote, people often feel guilty when they survive a situation that others didn t. The narrator s situation in The Seventh Man is a perfect example of this. Despite his failure to save K., the narrator should still forgive himself. The Seventh Man was unsuccessful in saving his childhood friend, K. In spite of his lack of success, he should not have to live with guilt about this for his entire life. In Sherman s editorial, she states that, Subjective guilt, associated with this sense of responsibility, is thought to be irrational because one feels guilty despite the fact that he knows he has done nothing wrong. (Sherman 154). The Seventh Man did not do anything wrong, therefore, if he were to feel guilt, it would be subjective. The failure to fulfil a task due to fear or another overpowering feeling is not the same as doing something incorrectly. The Seventh Man says, What made me do this, I m sure, was fear, a fear so overpowering it took my voice away and set my legs to running on their own. (Murakami 138). This statement illustrates how he desperately wanted to do the right thing and run to his friend, but his feelings and subconscious thoughts drove him to do the opposite. This is something a person cannot be blamed for. Therefore, it would only be reasonable for the Seventh Man to forgive himself for what occurred. It is simple to argue that the Seventh Man should not forgive himself for failing to save K. One may assert that the narrator could have physically warned K. by giving him a slight shove or patting him on the back. Although this is logical, if one were to literally put him or herself in the Seventh Man s situation, he or she would recognize the overwhelming amount of thoughts running through his head in the moment. This is seen in the relationships of Katherine and Petruchio. The difference between the relationship of Katherine and Petruchio in the play Taming Of the Shrew and 10 Things I Hate About You. This chance was given when he installed some high speed communication lines for an office where two mar keting companies had their headquarters. This problem was caused by several changes in the business plan. Addante had to adjust his ideas and adapt them to the investment community. After he finally received out side funding he realized that there was no market for his idea so he returned the funding to his investors. Frank Addante founded his fifth venture together with Tim McQuillen. Again he had the mo tivation of creating a business out of a new idea but this time Addante made sure that there is a market for his products. With reference to Frank Addante s motivation of holding equity it can be said that he decided to keep himself motivated with an adequate stake of the venture s equity. Firstly, Addante did not want to run his Strong Mail venture as the CEO because he wanted to concentrate on the holding company he had created before he founded Strong Mail . But after Frank detected a strong market for Strong Mail s products he felt that he needed to jump in and lead the company. • 11. William Carlos Williams Philomena Andronica And Gertrude... William Carlos Williams Philomena Andronica and Gertrude Stein s Identity, a poem are both visually and tonally very different texts. However, Stein and Williams have both used similar approaches to literary form in their poems as can be seen in their non traditional approach to meaning generation and rejection of grammatical convention. The poems also both show an interest in the notion of identity and it s fluidity, although Stein employs repeated images in her investigation whilst Williams approach lies in his clever use of parenthesis and vignette form. The two texts both take an approach to punctuation and formatting that strays from grammatical convention. The passage from Stein s Identity, a Poem presents a syntactic exploration of the idea identity and self. By rejecting the form that the reader expects of a poem, Stein guides her readers to an understanding of how language shapes identity. One example of this is the use of a full stop where grammatical rule dictates there should be a question mark, and if the little dog is not there is it alone. The lack of expected punctuation makes the reader question the idea that meaning is dependent on grammatical conventions; why do we need a question mark in order to understand the words as a question? Stein also uses a mixture of prose and poetic voice in her poem. By contrasting lines such as I say two dogs but say a dog and a dog, which is distinctly poetic, with lines with a prosaic tone The person ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Wendy Cope Reading Scheme Summary Wendy Cope: Reading Scheme When I was younger I had no idea what this world held for me. I was innocent. As a child, I was innocent of mortality, as a teen hope, and as a young adult love. However, later on that innocence took on the role of ignorance. Not in the sense of not being knowledgeable or educated on the subject but rather knowing it all too well that I choose to not acknowledge it. Innocence can be served as an instrument to tune out your surroundings when things take a toll. It can be an illusion from reality to protect what one desires to be true feel rather than what is actual. In Wendy Cope s poem Reading Scheme, Cope writes about the child s viewpoint of an affair by using the villanelle form to illustrate the inability of children to make connections and ultimately argue that innocence is simply an illusion. In order to understand the illusion of innocence in Wendy Cope s poem we must first familiarize ourselves on the subject of innocence and how, depending on the mindset, it is defined. Also, we must alert ourselves of Cope s writing style and the purpose of her writing. According to the article Archaeology: the loss of innocence, the loss of disciplinary innocence is the price of expanding consciousness...the loss is irreversible and the prize substantial (Clarke 6). Are we rewarded when our innocence abandons us or has suffering begun because now things are seen in a different aspect. The author of the article, David Clarke, claims innocence is a continuous losing process (Clarke 6). We continue to loss some sort of innocence into our teens, adulthood, and even our later years. It is when we choose to open ourselves to new experiences that our innocence beforehand disappears. Cope is well known for her manner of addressing serious or grave topics in a humorous way. Her writing style has double meaning to it. The serious tone of it hides between the lines of humor. The poem is about a mother having an affair with the milkman. Toward the end of the poem the husband returns home and discovers what his wife has done then goes after the milkman. While slavery was a factor in the disagreements that led to the Civil War, it was not the solitary or primary cause. • 21. Blame For Measure, By William Shakespeare The great Shakespeare once again presents a play of mystery, confusion, multiple weddings, and death. Measure for Measure is another great example of the literary tools that are often used by Shakespeare. In this play, great issues arise quickly after Claudio impregnates Juliet consensually. Of course, the chaos did not occur until after the Duke decided to leave town and leave Angelo in charge, as a tactic to regain strict law throughout the city. Power hungry Angelo does everything he can to punish and use Claudio as an example to the rest of the town as to why following law is highly important. Claudio s sister and the disguised duke come up with a plan to circumvent the ruling of Angelo and eventually use his previous actions as blackmail. This play takes constant turns left and right as different characters take charge of the happenings of Claudio. In the end, the duke reclaims his chair of power and Claudio is pardoned, all because of the chance of fate. Many critics have read this play and analyzed it for deeper meanings. One of the deepest meanings has come directly from the play title itself. Measure for Measure by Shakespeare is named as so because of the punishment for crimes, the measure or treatment of women, and the measure of the character s actions. The Little Black Book Of Supervision Essay In The Little Black Book Of Supervision , Chapter 4 of Managerial Skills, Gil Sargent stresses upon the importance of planning and organizing in the workplace. The company s resources, personnel time, tools and equipment should be managed properly. If these are not managed properly, then it can cost a firm fortune (Sargent, 2003). It is, therefore, necessary that manager should put to use the time and work study. It means how much time is taken to do a particular work while at a job. Once it is done, employees should be told about managing time. A firm will not be able to achieve results if they are not getting the equipment necessary to time. • 30. Analyzing Laura s Poem I wrote this sonnet as an assignment for my English class this year. The prompt asked us to write a sonnet for something or someone we loved and cared for, so I chose my older sister Laura as my love for her is a complex and evolving matter that I felt needed to be expressed into poetry. The sonnet describes her as I know her to be: caring, loved, genuine, warm, yet humble as well. It follows the format of a classic Shakespearean sonnet, with three quatrains and a couplet. The first two quatrains of my sonnet praise her and introduce my jealousy for her radiance. In the third quatrain, there is a turning point. I begin by developing the idea of my jealousy, but then I have a change of heart. The couplet concludes the sonnet, describing my changed perspective. The first two quatrains express my love for my sister, as well as the jealousy I have housed for her since childhood. The first quatrain explains how ever since I was young, I have always known that she is truly and freely loving and supportive of everyone around her. At times in my childhood, I believed that I lacked all of these traits and saw myself as her negative counterpart. In the next quatrain, I point out that though she has always had a strong group of friends and people devoted to her, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are numerous disputes to argue a theistic position, but there are also many fallacies that people use in an unjustified way to prove the existence of God. Using strong evidence mainly from the cosmological argument, the theory that everything happens as a cause of something before it leading all the way back to a first existence, and the argument of design, stating that the complexity of nature could only be explained by a sentient designer, a Greatest Conceivable Being must exist. The cosmological argument discusses the idea that everything is an effect of a cause. Everything happens due to something else, and all of that had to have begun somewhere at sometime. If you go back all the way to the beginning of time and the commencement of the universe, something had to have happened to caused for this to occur. This is what is believed to be the work of a Greatest Conceivable Being. Everything in the world that exists, exists because something else caused it, including the world itself. First, one must understand what Religious diversity is. Religious Diversity refers to religions making mutually exclusive claims that contradict one another. For this discussion, Religious Diversity will focus on contradictory claims on reaching salvation and connecting with god depending upon ones personal religion. For example, numerous religions like Hinduism or Judaism were being practiced thousands of years prior to Christianity s founding. How can one understand all those peoples existences? It does not seem plausible to believe that their lives were pointless and they had no connection to god, or no chance of reaching salvation due to their time of birth. To be punished for something that is out of ones control is not plausible for an all powerful and merciful god to do. Another problem with religious exclusivism is how to understand pious people from various religions and cultures. It is not plausible that there are some individuals, from all different backgrounds, that in every sense of the word are exceptional humans whether it be through charity, generosity, kindness, or just being a moral person. Some of these concepts like being a good person or being a moral person are subjective, but the basic foundation of being a moral person, at least from a western monotheistic perspective, appears to be do unto others as you would want done unto yourself, also known as the golden rule. This indicates, after subtracting tax, how much profit the firm has generated. For example, if IKEA accumulates, over a single period, total sales revenue of $100M, but recapitalizes part of that income (about $50M), and needs to pay tax of 40% of the earnings, it will end up with a free cash flow of $30M. NPM is simply $30M / $100M x 100%, which equals 30%. It is a family business and has been for years, and it does not produce its coffee beans unless these are cooked and in a state that they can t be replanted to yield any crop, thus maintaining its exclusivity for the product.
