PREDICTION OF ROAD ACCIDENT MODELLING FOR INDIAN NATIONAL HIGHWAYSIAEME Publication
The objective of this research article is to identify the most critical safety influencing variables of a section of four-lane National Highway-18(old)/40(New) through statistical models that explains the relationship between frequency of accident count and highway safety variables. The Highway traverses mainly through a plain terrain of mostly agricultural areas. The study is for newly constructing Four-Lane road between chainage 224.000 (Chagalamarri) to 359.9(Kurnool) to identify all safety deficiencies responsible for road accidents. The predictive ability using Multiple linear regression model is under two categories: First for the 2 lane sections and second for 4 lane sections separately. The validation tools were applied to examine the ability of models to predict accidents.
Transportation in developing countries is of great significance because of its contribution to national and regional economic, industrial, social, and cultural development.

What is a «Smart Road»?
Smart Road is a road able to communicate with itself and users like a modern object interconnected with the world of information.
Infrastructures are still not responding to our need to be connected and informated in real time: there is a risk of creating a distance between mobility systems and the surrounding world.

Estimation of road condition using smartphone sensors via c4.5 and aes 256 a...EditorIJAERD
Nowadays every smart phone is integrated with many helpful sensors. Sensors are originally design to make
the computer program and application convenient. The smart phone sensors like Gyroscope and Accelerometer are used
to estimate road roughness conditions. The collected data is from sensor and easy to manage value in the frequency
domain to calculate magnitudes of vibrations. Well maintained roads contribute to a significant portion of countries
economy. Roadsense application provides information about rules and regulations (Vehicle Papers, Parking Rule,
Distraction While Driving) to be followed while driving the vehicle. Throughout this paper, we discuss the previous hole
detections ways in which has been developed and process a worth effective answers to identify the potholes and bumps
on the roads. In our application mobile sensors are accustomed establish potholes and the bumps. The proposed system
captures the geographical locations of potholes and bumps using GPS sensor among the mobile. These sense data sent
for classification and uses algorithm C4.5, AES256 then this data sends for further processing. Finally the data is send to
the vehicle driver. An android can be used to display the road condition in the map.
Vision-based real-time vehicle detection and vehicle speed measurement using ...JANAK TRIVEDI
In recent trends, digital information to the industrial integration for the intelligent transportation system (ITS)
field is gaining importance for the researcher, academia, and industrial persons. Visual information helps to
manage traffic systems in the industrial forum to build smart cities in developed countries. This paper presents
vision-based real-time vehicle detection and Vehicle Speed Measurement (VSM) using morphology operation and
binary logical process for an unplanned traffic scenario using image processing techniques. Vehicle detection and
VSM help to reduce the number of accidents and improve road network efficiency. The bounding box size for
vehicle detection is flexible according to vehicles’ sizes on the road. We test this system with different colors and
dimensions for a selected Region of Interest (ROI). The ROI sets using the two-line approach. Here, we compare
the proposed system with the inter-frame difference method and the blob analysis method with recall, precision,
and F1 performance parameters.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF NONSIGNALISED ROAD INTERSECTION USING THE KAJI APPLIC...IAEME Publication
The intersection is a place of conflict between vehicles of two or more roads.
Driver behavior and land use also influence intersections. This is the cause of the
need for studies for intersection management. One study for intersections is the
calculation of the intersection capacity itself. The capacity to be assessed, of course,
requires data on the volume of vehicles passing at the intersection. The purpose of
this study was to analyze the performance of the weekly intersections in Merauke
Regency by using the Indonesia Road Capacity(Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia: KAJI)
program. Results of analysis of vehicle volume data passing for one week, the largest
vehicle volume can be seen on Sunday at 17:00 - 18:00 WIT that is equal to 2038
vehicles / hour or 1153 pcu / hour. Calculation of intersection capacity using the
KAJI application obtained a weekly intersection capacity of 2451 pcu / hour. The
degree of saturation at a weekly intersection is 0.47. Based on the results of the
analysis it can be concluded that the service level of the four unmarked intersections
is at level C, ie the current is stable but the speed and motion of the vehicle is
controlled and the driver is limited in choosing speed.
In modern life we have to face many problems because of traffic congestion. It is said that the
high volume of vehicles, the inadequate infrastructure and the irrational distribution of the development are
main reasons for increasing traffic jam. The major reason for traffic congestion is the high number of vehicle
which was caused by the increase in population and the development of economy. Traffic congestion is a
condition that occurs as use increases, and is characterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased
vehicular queuing. Here I am considering vittila junction in Ernakulum district where we can see a high traffic
junction. Here in my proposed work I am depending on 8 different roads that meet at a single junction. In that I
will consider pedestrian, vehicles, and ambulance and red light violation detection persons too. The use of
RFID and GPS will help to make the lane clear for ambulance. Using the RFID we can detect the red light
violators and we can assign fine to them. Lastly for pedestrian I am providing one subway and one overbridged.
Autonomous vehicles: A study of implementation and security IJECEIAES
Autonomous vehicles have been invented to increase the safety of transportation users. These vehicles can sense their environment and make decisions without any external aid to produce an optimal route to reach a destination. Even though the idea sounds futuristic and if implemented successfully, many current issues related to transportation will be solved, care needs to be taken before implementing the solution. This paper will look at the pros and cons of implementation of autonomous vehicles. The vehicles depend highly on the sensors present on the vehicles and any tampering or manipulation of the data generated and transmitted by these can have disastrous consequences, as human lives are at stake here. Various attacks against the different type of sensors on-board an autonomous vehicle are covered.

After 1970, road accidents were increased suddenly, mainly due to the increase in the number of
vehicles on the road. The 11% of the world's accidents are happening in India, so we need to think more towards
reducing the accidents and reducing the number of deaths for which the Mobile Communicative Prototype can
play the important role. A survey on 100 peoples is carried out for checking the awareness and rating of the
automobile safety devices. Mobile Communicative Prototype is designed and developed in the project lab and
experimentally investigated the responses. Only after a few seconds of accident, the alert system delivered the
message of the accident to the emergency number, so that the people injured in the accident can get medical help
immediately. The cost of the retrofitting is approximately 100USD, which is very low 1-2% of the cost of the
vehicle. It is also stated that the energy consumption of the retrofit is very low. This can also help in reducing the
speed of vehicles.
In India, as the fuel cost continues to rise, railway transport plays an important role. Although there are, so many
options of transportation are available like flights, trains, buses etc but most of the people prefer trains only as it
is cost effective and comfortable way of travelling and hence in today’s world railway becomes the lifeline of
India. When anybody goes through the daily news, they come across many accidents which are related to
railroad. So there must be good railway safety for the people as the rail accidents are often dangerous in terms of
the severity and death etc, when compared with the other transportation. There are several reasons present for
railroad related accidents but the major reason is cracks in rails. It is the main cause of railway derailments and
has the capacity to induce major damage to economy of the world. Therefore more efforts are necessary for
achieving the good rail safety. This system introduced a method for rail crack detection. The proposed system is
LED-LDR and Arduino based rail track detection scheme. It is cost effective and simple way of monitoring the
condition of the rails on a continual basis for the improving the railway safety which consists of GSM module
and Encoder.

Automobile Management System Project Report.pdfKamal Acharya
The proposed project is developed to manage the automobile in the automobile dealer company. The main module in this project is login, automobile management, customer management, sales, complaints and reports. The first module is the login. The automobile showroom owner should login to the project for usage. The username and password are verified and if it is correct, next form opens. If the username and password are not correct, it shows the error message.
When a customer search for a automobile, if the automobile is available, they will be taken to a page that shows the details of the automobile including automobile name, automobile ID, quantity, price etc. “Automobile Management System” is useful for maintaining automobiles, customers effectively and hence helps for establishing good relation between customer and automobile organization. It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. On the other hand the stock of automobiles can be maintained perfectly by the automobile shop manager overcoming the drawbacks of existing system.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.
