This document provides details on the design and implementation of a single phase induction motor with adjustable speed and direction control using a microcontroller. It includes both theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part discusses single phase AC motor types, speed and direction control methods. The practical part describes the hardware and software design. Key components include a bridge rectifier, DC chopper, PIC microcontroller, keypad, LCD, 3-phase inverter bridge and IGBTs. Software uses PWM to generate 3-phase voltages for controlling speed and reversing direction of the motor.
