Social Psychological Theories of Aggression Essay
Social Psychological Theories of Aggression
Social learning theorists propose that behaviour, such as aggression is learnt through observation,
imitation and behaviour shaping. This behaviour is learnt automatically through observation of male
and female role models, for example parents, peers and media characters. Whether or not this
behaviour is imitated depends on the type of reinforcement that the role model receives.
Vicarious reinforcement involves the outcome of a role models behaviour, for example if a child
observes a parent acting aggressively and receiving positive rewards for they are more like to be
imitate this behaviour in the future, than they would be if the role model ... Show more content on

This supports the Social Learning Theories of aggression as the children learnt through observation of
the role model, imitation of their behaviour and behaviour shaping. Also they received sweets and
praise as a form of positive vicarious reinforcement thus meaning that there was a chance of repetition
of the aggressive behaviour outside the laboratory setting. The vicarious reinforcement is also a direct
consequence that will have an effect on the chances of the child repeating the behaviour. As if the
child was punished they would have been less likely to act aggressively again.
On the other hand, it is possible to say that the children were manipulated into responding
aggressively towards the BoBo Doll as they were teased and may have become frustrated because they
could not touch the toys even though they had to watch the role models playing however it is not
actually stated how long the children remained aggressive for. The experiment can be said to be
unethical and morally wrong because the children were trained to be aggressive, as they were
probably not used to watching adults behave some immaturely. Also as the experiment was preformed
in a laboratory it therefore lacks eco logical validity, as it may not have real life consequences.
Another study that supports the Social Learning Theories of aggression is Patterson et al (1989). This

Writing Process Analysis
I would like to learn more about all of the steps of the writing process and I am sure that I will by
reading other class mates writings. I have chosen to investigate step one of the writing process Survey
the archives . Which is the beginning of the writing process. This is a step which I have always
struggled with. It is difficult to decide what to write about. At times there are too many choices to
write about and I have a hard time narrowing down the appropriate topic. Still other times I can t find
interesting facts that go along with the assigned topics. This step can take me a long time. Once I find
the topic that fits with the assignment the other steps become easier. I am hoping to make this step
much easier. I am going to complete

“Perhaps –“Vera Brittain
Perhaps Vera Brittain
To what extent do you agree with the view that the poem perhaps is the most significant of the poems
we have read so far?
The poem Perhaps is written by Vera Britain, who was an English writer, feminist and pacifist but she
is best remembered as the author of the best selling memoir Testament of Youth recounting her
experiences during World War 1 and the beginning of her journey towards pacifism. The poem
Perhaps is written in memory of her fiancé Roland Leighton who was tragically killed in the war.
However the poem which appears in Testament of Youth was not written until two moths after his
death.
The structure of the poem Perhaps is written five quatrains and the speaker reflects on the ... Show

In spite of this the poet realises in stanza four that it will be a whole year since her lover has died, just
before Christmas and she then wonders if there will ever be a time that she wont shrink in pain and
listen to the Christmas songs again, although you cannot hear . In the last two lines she is dealing well
with the loss but its emotional and upsetting losing a close one and the poet shows her loneliness in
the poem.
The final stanza is a reference to the healing power of time which is referred to kind Time . Although
it mentions in the poem the one greatest joy is that time will never heal her grief for him because my
heart for loss of You, was broken, long go. As well as in the last stanza it was a fact that it was only
two months since the poet had lost her fiancé, but it makes a round ending to a poem.
The ending of the poem is poignant and optimistic at the same time and the poem shows that time is a
healer and life does go on. Although nature aids the process of grief as it is a constant occurrence and
continues to live on and provide familiar structure for those coping with the loss of their dear ones.
This poem would have been appreciated by many young women at the time since such a vast number
of men died during the war and as a consequence the birth rate dropped significantly and many
women lived their lives as spinsters or

911 Attacks Research Paper
911 Attacks On September 11, 2001 an Islamic terrorist group attacked the usa. This group disliked the
USA a lot but they did not have the sufficient power to attack the USA directly. They decided to crash
four planes into memorable places in the USA. The leader of this group was called Osama bin
laden.Suprisingly enough it took usa 10 years to finally catch him after the 911 attacks. He was then
sentenced to death and killed. Thousands of people were killed in the attacks. Luckily the people in 1
plane managed to take it back. The others however still crashed. Around 13,000 people were killed
when the twin towers went down. Every 9/11 we take a moment of silence to mourn for the lost ones

My Love Of Music
What makes music so incredible, for me, is how music is able to reach anyone and everyone on some,
emotional level. One song can easily conjure nostalgia, while another song can bring someone to
tears. This emotional connection allows music to act as a universal language that can bring people of
any nationality together. The collaboration of identities and cultures through music is something that I
am passionate about and can contribute to informatics.
Music and I have a long history together. I started with piano lessons in first grade and ever since, my
love of music has blossomed. When I took piano lessons, my parents forced me to practice every
single day for at least 30 minutes. As a kid, I dreadfully hit the black and white keys as minutes felt
like hours. On top of taking piano lessons I began learning guitar in high school. When I started to
pick up the guitar, I found that I excelled at it. As a result, I was able to perform songs that I truly
enjoyed. From Scott, my piano teacher, I learned the foundation of music and with Robin, my guitar
teacher, I was able to find my passion for music. This love extends to diverse genres, but primarily
electronic dance music (EDM). In the years I have spent at the University of Washington, I learned
how to DJ, performed for large crowds, and started to produce my own music.
In a way, the technology that I have used for music embodies the ideals of Informatics. Serato DJ (a
computer software) and the Pioneer DDJ SR (DJ

Essay Graduation Speech
Isn t it strange how princes and kings
And clowns who caper in sawdust rings
And common folk, like you and me
Are builders for eternity.
For each is given a bag of tools,
A shapeless mass, and a set of rules.
And each of us, a life is flown,
Must either build a stumbling block or stepping stone.
Builders for eternity ... what an awe inspiring thought: That you and I not would be, nor could be, but
are builders for eternity. On this day, the seventh of June 2006, at our high school graduation night, the
night we say goodbye to the structured life high school offers, the night we say goodbye to friends and
teachers that have impacted our lives in so many ways. This night, as we bid farewell and invite the

He put forth all the effort it took to make his dream a reality despite the odds against him. Martin
Luther King is a man who illustrated the third E beautifully.
The third E is for Essential. Imagine a world where everyone built himself into someone who was
essential to his family, neighborhood, or a group of otherwise lonely people. Martin Luther King was a
hero because he was essential to a suffering nation. He had another piece of advice that, when heeded,
will make us all essential members of any group. He said Everyone can be great because everyone can
serve. You don t have to have a college degree to serve. You don t have to have your subject and your
verb agree. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love. If you do nothing else, serve
others with love and grace, and you will be an essential part of our world.
Do we enjoy being who we are? Are we putting 100% effort into who we are and what we are doing?
Are we an essential part of someone s life and a meaningful piece to society? Now, back to the poem.

Argumentative Essay On Co-Rumination
Co rumination is a moderately new development, alluding to widely examining and returning to
issues, guessing about issues, and concentrating on negative emotions with associates. Despite the fact
that it is like self exposure in that it includes uncovering and examining an issue, it is more centered
on the issues themselves and in this manner can be maladaptive. While self exposure is seen as a
positive angle found in close kinships, a few sorts of self revelation can likewise be maladaptive. Co
rumination is a sort of conduct that is emphatically associated with both rumination and self exposure
and has been connected to a background marked by uneasiness in light of the fact that co ruminating
may compound stresses over whether issues will be determined, about negative results of issues, and
depressive findings because of the steady negative spotlight on upsetting themes, rather than critical
thinking. In any case, co rumination is likewise firmly connected with superb kinships and closeness.

Grit Essay
The Power Of Grit I chose the Ted Talk called Grit and perseverance. In this video Angela Lee
Duckworth argues that the key to success is grit, a characteristic she defines as passion and
perseverance for very long term goals (Angela Duckworth). she talks about how having perseverance
can motivate and change the outcome of your life and career. You don t have to be perfect physically
or have a High IQ, all you need is Grit and perseverance. Life can be very difficult at times it will
slam you on the ground roll you in the dirt and kick you in the ribs all at once. Being able to get back
up is the reason people can be successful. Having perseverance and show great ethics and starting at
the bottom being poorer than dirt will give you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The question she asked and wanted to find out is who will succeed and why. Every study they did she
would notice that it s not the highest IQ who is successful but its who has the most grit and
perseverance. Grit is sticking to your long term goals despite all the noise around you. The fact that
not everyone in your life will support you in reaching your goals is a harsh reality. It s hard to
understand that even some of your best friends and close family could actually be holding you back
but once you cut that tie and push yourself you can be so much more successful. Personally I think the
most successful people in life are the ones that can set A goal and not let anyone change their mind or
run them a stray from their goal. This Ted Talk can help people even in their day to day life, if
someone can set small goals throughout their day and make sure they stick to them. At times it s really
hard to stick to goals especially long term. However if you can it will help you succeed in everyday
life and long term like finishing college. College can be a great place for a study to happen but it can
also be very bad, because there is so much diversity but generally unmotivated people don t even go to
college but if they do they can t stick it out because they have no perseverance. As soon as something
hard comes along they quite and then try to protest it. Having Goals however can be very
overwhelming. Many people set long term goals and work toward them

Using Lightweight Dynamic User Authentication Scheme
There are many popular authentication protocol schemes and some of them are as follows.
Lightweight Dynamic User Authentication Scheme In Wireless Sensor Networks the authorized users
can access and communicate with the sensor nodes. This scheme comprises of registration, login and
authentication phases. Based on the predefined period the user registers and gets access to secure data
and restarts if period expires. It states it is secure only against replay and forgery attacks. And provides
many benefits like efficiency, avoiding leakage of password, etc. Lightweight Trust Model Usage of
this scheme benefits in reducing the memory consumption and energy. And it is done by three steps
such as computing bytes, not storing the value in the transaction table, consuming 3 bits of memory
and also avoids promiscuous operation mode. Lightweight Authentication Scheme This requires
HMAC and encryption algorithms and decrease the effects of resource consumption attack. It consists
of three phases such as key predistribution phase, network initialization phase and authentication
protocol. Secured Energy Conserving Slot Based Topology Maintenance Protocol uses a symmetric
key based authentication mechanism for a sleep/wake up schedule of nodes for better energy
efficiency and increase in lifetime the network. Lightweight Key Management Scheme This reduces
the resource consumption and acts as building block for all mechanisms. It requires less key storage

Alternative Medicine For Traditional Medicine Essay
When it comes to traditional medicine, it doesn t always work and there isn t always a scientific
reason to prove it. There is no perfect medical solution in our world. When traditional medicine fails
patients, many physicians believe that prescribing alternative forms of medicine is more harmful than
not prescribing them at all, due to the supposed lack of evidence of their effectiveness. In this case,
patients have no other options for treatment. However, research has shown that there is a significant
amount of evidence that supports the effectiveness of alternative medicines. Alternative medication
therefore should be presented to these in dire need as a legitimate and potentially effective form of
treatment.
Complementary and Alternative Medicine, also known as CAM, refers to any of a range of medical
therapies that are not considered to be orthodox by the medical field. Complementary and Alternative
Medicine has been a controversial subject among multiple physicians as they debate how agreeable it
is to prescribe due to its lack of scientific backing. There have, however, been an increasing number of
physicians who are more comfortable to prescribe CAMs. There have been greater regulations for
upcoming doctors and physicians to study and be trained in a wide range of practices about alternative
medicine before being certified as doctors. Many patients have relied on CAMs for their effectiveness
due to the failure of conventional medicine and its treatment. If

Character Analysis Of The Shawl
In the short story The Shawl by Cynthia Ozick, we are introduced to three characters who are facing
death surrounding them in a concentration camp. We are introduced to Rosa, Stella and Magda. Rosa
is the mother in the story of Magda, Magda is a young baby whose odds of survival is not very good.
We are also introduced to Stella, who is a demon in the mind of Rosa. Stella represents the life that
Rosa once had, one where she did not have a child and did not have to put someone s life before them
self. Stella appears to have all the human features, have emotions and has human flaws, but she taunts
Rosa while she is in the concentration camp. Stella also brings Rosa something that she could not do

Stella represents the basic human needs, like eating, sleeping and being able to survive. While Rosa
fights with the id, Stella, in her mind. Stella, the id, must also fight Rosa s superego. The superego is
what we are supposed to do, and what is right to do in life. In between the id and the superego is the
ego. When the id and the superego are balanced then there is a happy person, one whose needs are met
and there is nothing inhumane going on. However, when the two are not in balanced there will be an
unhappy person, who must choose what to do, even if it is inhumane. Through out the story there is a
battle of the superego and the id, which is why Stella and Rosa battle over what should happen with
Magda.
Rosa talks in the short story about how she would think about leaving Magda. Rosa, floating,
dreaming of giving Magda away in one of the villages (247). This shows that there is a conflict
between the id and the superego because even in her dreams, Rosa is dreaming and thinking about
wanting to have a better life for Magda then she can offer her. But even in the dreams there is a
moment where Rosa realizes that her leaving Magda in a village with a total stranger does not assure
Magda s survival. And even if she could leave the line for half a second and pushed the shawl bundle
at the stranger, would the woman take it? (page 247). The more that Rosa thinks about giving Magda

Chemical And Biological Properties Of Soil Pollution
It is always difficult to remove contaminations from soils because it contains many toxic chemicals
such as (Pb, As, Cu, Cd, Cr, Ni, Hg and Zn). This chemicals mixed with the soil after burning of
industrial waste, electronics waste or uses of agricultural technology. Then rain water makes it seep
deep into the soil and cause soil pollution. This makes it so difficult and time consuming to remove,
particularly when the affected area is on a large scale. Soil is made of by two components which are
organic and inorganic solid constituent, water and mixture of different gasses present in various
proportions. The mineral component in the soil varies, according to the parent material which the soils
had been developed due to the issue of different type of climate conditions. Also, soil can also be
classified into three different properties, physical, chemical and biological properties. Physical
properties of soil are being controlled by soil water movement, such as texture and soil structures. The
soil moisture have high tendency in controlling solute movement, salt solubility, chemical reaction and
microbiological activities and most importantly the bioavailability of metal ions. In this situation, a
successful phytoremediation program must be considered as an alternative in the specific site. In the
past lots of researchers have tried different method in order to mitigate or reclaim the heavy metals
polluted soils, but so far phytoremediation is the best of all because it is

Changing Face Of The Australian Family
Over the last five decades there have been many studies, reports, papers written and statistics collected
regarding the changing face of the Australian Family. Much of this information focuses on living
arrangements, relationships such as marriage and de facto, one parent households, working mothers
and fertility rates to name a few. There are several factors that have caused variance to the structure
and values of the Australian family including the increase of divorce, remarriage, same sex
relationships, one parent families and blended families. This paper will look at the extent of change
that the Australian family has undergone in the last 50 years, focusing on two key issues, firstly the
impact of women entering the workforce and secondly the decrease of fertility rates.
A definition of family is required to understand the parameters by which majority of studies have been
evaluated. For the purpose of data collection, The Australian Bureau of Statistics defines family as the
following:
Two or more persons, one of whom is at least 15 years of age, who are related by blood, marriage
(registered or de facto), adoption or fostering, and who are usually resident in the same household.
Separate families are identified for each married or de facto couple and for each one parent family in
the household (ABS, 1992b).
Another term, nuclear family is commonly used and describes the family as male/father,
female/mother and children. Saggers and Sims (2005), state that the

The War Of Versailles Between The Allies And Germany
At the beginning of 1919 all eyes were turned towards Paris. The city was to become the main focal
point for the world s population. This was where the peace talks were to be held to draw a close to the
First World War, the war to end all wars. World leaders from 32 countries converged on Paris armed
with the demands for their countries reparation. The Big Three participants of the peace talks wanted
more than just reparation. For six months the world s most powerful and influential men met every
day arguing, then discussing, then arguing again. Deals were made, various treaties drawn up and new
countries and organisations were created, the decisions made between January and June 1919 were the
most important. This demonstration of power, debate and decision making had never been seen before
nor would it be seen ever again. The treaty was signed at the Palace of Versailles between the Allies
and Germany. The three most important politicians there were David Lloyd George representing Great
Britain, Georges Clemenceau for France and Woodrow Wilson, president of the United States of
America. The victors from World War One were in no mood to be charitable to the defeated nations
and Germany in particular was held responsible for the war and its consequences.

Compare And Contrast The Melting Point Of 4-Butoxyphenyl...
The melting point that was observed for N (4 butoxyphenyl)acetamide was 109.7˚C, and is lower than
the literature value range of 131˚C. (Royal Society of Chemistry. 2018). This may be due to the
presence of water and that impurities may be still present in the product that was formed. Solid
substances that contain soluble impurities typically melts at a lower temperature than the pure
compound (Kirsop. 2017). This is because the impurity disrupts the repeating pattern of forces that
holds crystalline structure of the solid. A smaller amount of energy is required to melt the part of the
solid surrounding the impurity, which supports that the compound that was produced was an impure
compound.

SN1 reactions are dependent on the stability of the carbocations, where a tertiary carbocation is at its
most stable form, causing a fast reaction rate (Hunt. 2009). The compound that had the highest rate of

The benzene chloride had a faster reaction than the other haloalkanes since the carbon that was
attached to the chloride was connected to the benzene ring, in doing so quickens the reaction. Unlike
the benzene chloride, chlorobenzene should have no reaction since the chlorine is directly attached to
a carbon within the benzene ring. This unexpected result of having of having the solution turn cloudy

The Main Controversies of Medieval Thought in the 12th and 13th Centuries
The twelfth and thirteenth centuries were a time of great controversy for medieval scholars. New
systems of thought were being developed and implemented that challenged the accepted teachings of
the church. Some fought to preserve tradition, others fought to destroy it, while still others sought to
find a common ground between the two. The greatest controversy of the times, it can be said, was that
of faith and reason. Most philosophical debate revolved around these and to a lesser extent the
opposition of realists and nominalists on the question of universals. The type of philosophy that was
being taught in the Christian schools of the time has been given the ... Show more content on

Among the Arabic commentators was Averroës. The multi talented Islamic philosopher would become
known as the commentator and interpreter of Aristotle. Averroës had written the commentaries in
response to a request from his ruler. His commentaries are very numerous and their effect on the
Christian philosophical world immeasurable. In his personal philosophies he arrived at the conclusion
that the two truths of faith and reason were irreconcilable. Maimonides was at the same time an
orthodox Jew and a firm adherent to Aristotelian philosophy. He was therefore in the same position as
his Christian counterparts, particularly Thomas Aquinas, and faced the problem of combining the two.
The result of his meditations on the issue is expressed in his Guide of the Perplexed, which appeared
in approximately 1190. Maimonides stated that since God was responsible for the existence of both
faith and reason the two must never be contradictory. Any semblance of contradiction between the two
is therefore the result of misinterpretation of sacred writings or philosophy. Albertus Magnus, an
encyclopedic writer was probably the first to recognize the significance of the new translations of
Greco Arabic literature. Magnus greatly appreciated the writings of Aristotle and made great efforts to
help his contemporaries understand him. His work made a terrific

Hegemonic Masculinity In Ads
Hegemonic masculinity is at the heart of exploitation of women in advertisements. It represents a
complex socio political system that perpetuates dominant ideas from the male perspective and
marginalizes any opposing ones, especially the feminist perspective. (O Toole, 2016) The concept of
the male gaze is at the root of hegemonic masculinity and consumerism. For example, Sports
Illustrated uses a swimsuit issue to attract a largely male audience. These exploited images present
women in sexualized and demeaning poses since images in the media are constructed for the male
viewer s gaze and represent his expectations of women as well as male to female relationships. This
manipulation allows women to be conditioned to respond to an ad in a male directed

could also utilize a small percentage of the budget toward scholarship opportunities. These
recommendations should promote SSU, which will lead to an increase in student enrollment.

Comparing Goffman s Stigma And Social Identity
Stigma and Social Identity, is one of the chapters from a book called Stigma: Notes on the
Management of Spoiled Identity written by Erving Goffman that discuss in depth about stigma.
Firstly, in this chapter, Goffman discuss about the origins of the word stigma from the Greeks and
Christian perspective that tend to define stigma as bodily evidence of unusualness. Nowadays, the
word stigma is use to label disgrace rather than the bodily evidence of it. There are three types of
stigmas; physical defects, blemishes of individual character and tribal stigmata of race, color and
religion. All of these stigmas can deteriorate the claims of normality .
Besides, in this chapter, Goffman discuss on how people in a society tend to unconsciously ... Show

cause many negative consequences that can lead people to engage in maladaptive behaviors that can
also lead to mental illnesses. It is really important for us to realize that every human is just human

Essay On Never Events
Never Event

Healthcare facilities are very active institutions. Each part must be functioning correctly, from delivery
systems and issues of Managed Care and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), to the
National Quality Forum (NQF). These different parts of healthcare facilities are constantly dealing
with many different situations that arise. Sometimes circumstances that should not take place occur.
These types of circumstances are known as Never Events. As these events rise in number, the safety of
patients is decreased; this forces the healthcare facility to find new and improved ways to ensure the
safety of patients and reduce medical errors. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important that their knowledge of these events is raised so that in the unfortunate event of their
falling victim to such an occurrence, they know exactly what type of action to take. The increased
awareness of patients leads to two problems that healthcare organizations must face. The first
problem: the patients trust and engagement of these never events would never have came about if it
were not for the negative publicity that comes from such an event happening. If a never event either
happens to a patient or in a hospital that the patient goes to, then that patient would have less trust
towards the healthcare facility overall. The one thing that healthcare organizations need is their
patients trust. The second problem: insurers are beginning to hold healthcare facilities financially
responsible for never events (Ozan Rafferty). As a result, physicians and hospitals have to pay for the
care they provided, in addition to the errors that they encountered. If the insurers do this, it would
bring the downfall of the entire hospital because there would be so much expenses that the healthcare
facilities have to pay that it may not be able to pay for most of the debts that they have in the facilities.
Motivating hospitals to ensure proper policy is followed can lead to a reduction on spending every
year due to medical errors. Holding healthcare facilities responsible for

Information Assurance Guidelines For Commercial Buildings...

commercial buildings and real estate companies, has coordinated with this group to examine the
current information systems and technology architecture and determine if it is able to sufficiently

on the current information provided by BuildingDNA, wherein the hypothesis is that the current

Although BuildingDNA is currently producing digital maps, their current information technology
architecture is unable to meet the 3000 maps per month goal. In order to be able to achieve this goal,
BuildingDNA most develop the capacity in order to minimize idle and unused resources, and meet
their contractual obligations in a timely manner. As identified by BuildingDNA executives, there are
four components to this challenge that must be addressed, which are the following: Paremeter izing
new contracts; identifying and acquiring capacity of skilled man hours; managing the fulfillment of
each contract to meet expectations; and analysis and evaluate production outcomes versus standards
for future contracts and the continuous improvement of the production process. Problem Causes The
root cause of the challenge addressed above, is the lack of resources. These resources can be thought
of as the proper Enterprise Resource Planning and Workforce Management software, qualified
personnel, and the creation and implementation of organizational policies, to include information
assurance, teleworking, and business operations. All of these resources share a common denominator,
which is funding. A well funded organization generally have the ability to implement specific software

The World Of The Vietnam War
The year is 1965: the skate board is the latest craze in kids toys; the miniskirt makes its appearance;
hypertext is introduced for linking on the Internet; Kellogg s Pop Tarts pastries are created; Sonny
Cher make their first TV appearance in American Bandstand ; rights activist Malcolm X is shot dead;
the Gemini 3 launched the first US 2 man space flight; and the first United States combat forces arrive
in Vietnam. This was not the start of the Vietnam War since the war actually started in 1955, pitting
Communist North Vietnam against anti Communist South Vietnam. The United States believed it had
to protect South Vietnam from Communist take over and is the reason the U.S. supplied South
Vietnam with millions of dollars in military aid as well as with military advisors from the start of the
war. Eventually, the US had no other choice but to send troops to war and it became the first war
Americans opposed publicly and passionately, making the US involvement in the Vietnam War a
shameful venture rather than a noble cause. Although the Vietnam War was the first televised war, it is
unclear if Vietnam War films are able to give an honest portrayal of the Vietnam War experience, or if
truer reality of the war can be found only in textbooks. The Vietnam War was so much a part of
American life that it could not be ignored, and with war films losing their appeal after World War II, it
s hard to know if the Vietnam War would be actually portrayed on the big screen. The

Golf is the one of the hardest sports to play in the world, I know all you think golf is, is just hitting a

how to play one of the toughest games in the world, golf. I m going to teach you what golf is, also
how to keep track of your golf score, and teach you the different type of golf shots and clubs.
Now I m going to tell you what golf is. Golf is a sport that is played outside, not inside. There is a
small hard ball, which is white, but can be different colors, and it s called a golf ball. You use a golf
club to hit the golf ball. The whole point of golf is to get the golf ball into the hole, in the fewest hits.
On a regular golf course there s 18 holes, but sometimes you might find a golf course with 9 holes,

approach irons are the 4,5,6,7,8, and sometimes the 9. The lower numbered irons are the irons you can

shot that is used around the green and the club to use is the pitching wedge. The pitching wedge is
used for the chip because it has a higher loft, meaning the ball can get really high, and have a lot of
spin. Finally, the putt, the putt is a shot where the ball is on the green, and you re trying to roll the ball

Direct Animal Interactions
Organisms in our society are always interacting with one another on a daily basis. These interactions
impact the fate of the organisms lives, and that of the rest of the ecosystem. These interactions can
either be direct and indirect. A direct organism affects an organism without outside interferences,
while an indirect organism interaction is when an organism interacts an organism by its effects on a
third organism. The three different direct interactions are competition in which both organisms
interacting or negatively effect, mutualism in which both organisms benefit from the direct
interactions, and predation in which one organism benefits from the interaction while the other one

Fucus distichus to dominate because snails typically eat Ulva, allowing the Fucus distichus to

Specific Heat Lab
This experiment is an attempt to determine the specific heat of a metal object. The experiment is
conducted by first placing two Styrofoam cups inside each other creating a makeshift calorimeter;
then filling said calorimeter with ice water measured at zero ° Celsius. Next, a metal object with a
mass of 30 grams or more is heated for five minutes in boiling water. After reaching the proper
temperature of 100 ° Celsius, the metal is placed in the water. The water is stirred and the temperature
is periodically read. These data points are recorded by the student to use current chemical formulas to
discover the specific heat of the metal used in the experiment.
Out of the three classifications on the periodic table metals, nonmetals, and metalloids metals is the

the temperature change in an object is related to the amount of heat the substance absorbs or releases
by the following equation: q=mcΔT (Wile). Where m stands for the mass of the object, q is equal to
the amount of energy released or absorbed. As well as the specific heat of the object being shown by c

Going At Seaworld Is Every Child s Dream
Going to Seaworld is every child s dream. Seeing Shamu in real life is an unforgettable experience.
All those who are able to attend Seaworld and make it a reality, treasure the memories of viewing
these oceanic creatures. The great opportunity of viewing animals in such a close and involved
environment is amazing, but no one questions how those animals were initially imprisoned in their
aquatic cages. Why should these cetaceans, marine mammals, be exploited and used merely as
entertainment? The animals that are kept in captivity generally have a shorter lifespan than those that
thrive in the wild due to a number of different factors. Cetaceans along with any other animals. should
not be imprisoned for the entertainment of human beings. Dolphin performances have been a part of
American culture since 1860 in the New York Aquarium as mentioned in the Rose Tinted Menagerie

The Constitution Of A Country s Government
In order to state whether I am in favour of this statement or not, it is important to understand the
statement itself. Constitution is a set of rules standardising the power and duties of a country s
government as well as the rights of its individuals. Currently constitutions come under two key terms;
codified and uncodified constitutions. The UK and countries like Israel and New Zealand are a prime
example of uncodified constitutions but that is not to say it is unwritten. Uncodified constitution is one
that is made up of numerous written sources. Magna Carta , the Bill of Rights , Act of Settlement and
Parliament Acts are among those sources used by the UK. Due to the existence of many written
sources it would not be accurate to refer to the UK constitution as unwritten instead a more suitable
word that can be used is uncodified . Uncodified follows the normal processes for enacting statute law
in order to alter or eradicate, the constitution therefore there is no judicial authority. Codified
constitution on the other hand, is one that is entrenched and has key constitutional provisions collected
within a single document. This type of constitution is referred to as a written constitution. The USA
constitution, as an example, was drafted around as lon200 years ago and lays down the rights of
American citizens and sets out the power of the government in place. Malcolm Walles described USA

Animal Cruelty Is A More Serious Problem

it just to help themselves become more known. And well the people with fame are people that don t

world. Lets Imagine that a young little boy right in front of you was getting beaten, sexually assaulted,
or even killed of course somebody would do something because we were raised to help one another as
a moral but why can t we do the same for animal. People have just forgotten their morals. What is the

The results and that were obtained in this lab are fairly reliable and reasonable. This is because if you
refer back to Graph 1.1 for example it is clear that there is a relative and steady increase in the rate of
reaction as the concentration of catalase was increased. Although in part A, the results were fairly
reliable and they clearly show the average increase in part B, one can see that the results that were

affected the results obtained during the experiment was the labs failure to mention to mix the two

instruction may have led to the outliers in time retrieved in part B for the experiment. In the first trial
when the filter timed out at 240 seconds at the bottom of the beaker, it may have been caused by the

American Teenagers Are Even More Stress Than Adults Essay

The Significance Of Kristallnacht And The Night Of Broken...

Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass , is one of the most crucial events in German, Jewish, and
World History. Before, the Jews were simply assaulted and verbally abused. However, on the night of
November 9, 1938, an unplanned and extremely violent action against the Jews occurred. In two days,
over 250 synagogues were burnt down while the fire department did nothing to stop it, over 7,000
Jewish businesses were trashed and looted, Jews were murdered, Jewish cemeteries, schools,
hospitals, and homes were looted by SS while the police attempted to preserve them but failed. Before

Finally, many purely hated Jews because they were not Aryan. Germany was one of these countries.
Hitler, the leader of Germany, has carried hate for the Jews since early childhood. Primarily, he
blamed them for his mother s death along with him not getting into his dream school, Vienna Art
College. Also, they were blamed by Germany for defeat in WWI and as the cause for unemployment.
However, mainly Jews were persecuted because of the way they looked. At the time, Hitler wanted a
racially pure Germany. He believed that by adapting the Darwin theory of survival of the fittest, he
would be able to create a stronger generation and kill those that are impure or disabled.
Prior to the horrific Night of Broken Glass Jews material comforts and mental health declined due to
the early Nazi anti Jew moves in 1933. On the 1st of April 1933, the SA organized a boycott of all
Jewish shops and businesses. However, due to the lack of interest and customer loyalty to Jews
businesses, the boycott failed. Along with the boycott, in 1933, Jewish civil servants, teachers,
bankers, and lawyers were sacked and Race Science lessons taught that Jews were inferior. To add, in

  • 2. Social Psychological Theories of Aggression Essay Social Psychological Theories of Aggression Social learning theorists propose that behaviour, such as aggression is learnt through observation, imitation and behaviour shaping. This behaviour is learnt automatically through observation of male and female role models, for example parents, peers and media characters. Whether or not this behaviour is imitated depends on the type of reinforcement that the role model receives. Vicarious reinforcement involves the outcome of a role models behaviour, for example if a child observes a parent acting aggressively and receiving positive rewards for they are more like to be imitate this behaviour in the future, than they would be if the role model ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This supports the Social Learning Theories of aggression as the children learnt through observation of the role model, imitation of their behaviour and behaviour shaping. Also they received sweets and praise as a form of positive vicarious reinforcement thus meaning that there was a chance of repetition of the aggressive behaviour outside the laboratory setting. The vicarious reinforcement is also a direct consequence that will have an effect on the chances of the child repeating the behaviour. As if the child was punished they would have been less likely to act aggressively again. On the other hand, it is possible to say that the children were manipulated into responding aggressively towards the BoBo Doll as they were teased and may have become frustrated because they could not touch the toys even though they had to watch the role models playing however it is not actually stated how long the children remained aggressive for. The experiment can be said to be unethical and morally wrong because the children were trained to be aggressive, as they were probably not used to watching adults behave some immaturely. Also as the experiment was preformed in a laboratory it therefore lacks eco logical validity, as it may not have real life consequences. Another study that supports the Social Learning Theories of aggression is Patterson et al (1989). This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I have chosen to investigate step one of the writing process Survey the archives . Which is the beginning of the writing process. This is a step which I have always struggled with. • 4. ‚ÄúPerhaps ‚Äì‚ÄúVera Brittain Perhaps Vera Brittain To what extent do you agree with the view that the poem perhaps is the most significant of the poems we have read so far? The poem Perhaps is written by Vera Britain, who was an English writer, feminist and pacifist but she is best remembered as the author of the best selling memoir Testament of Youth recounting her experiences during World War 1 and the beginning of her journey towards pacifism. The poem Perhaps is written in memory of her fiancé Roland Leighton who was tragically killed in the war. However the poem which appears in Testament of Youth was not written until two moths after his death. The structure of the poem Perhaps is written five quatrains and the speaker reflects on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In spite of this the poet realises in stanza four that it will be a whole year since her lover has died, just before Christmas and she then wonders if there will ever be a time that she wont shrink in pain and listen to the Christmas songs again, although you cannot hear . In the last two lines she is dealing well with the loss but its emotional and upsetting losing a close one and the poet shows her loneliness in the poem. The final stanza is a reference to the healing power of time which is referred to kind Time . Although it mentions in the poem the one greatest joy is that time will never heal her grief for him because my heart for loss of You, was broken, long go. As well as in the last stanza it was a fact that it was only two months since the poet had lost her fiancé, but it makes a round ending to a poem. The ending of the poem is poignant and optimistic at the same time and the poem shows that time is a healer and life does go on. Although nature aids the process of grief as it is a constant occurrence and continues to live on and provide familiar structure for those coping with the loss of their dear ones. This poem would have been appreciated by many young women at the time since such a vast number of men died during the war and as a consequence the birth rate dropped significantly and many women lived their lives as spinsters or ... • 6. My Love Of Music What makes music so incredible, for me, is how music is able to reach anyone and everyone on some, emotional level. One song can easily conjure nostalgia, while another song can bring someone to tears. This emotional connection allows music to act as a universal language that can bring people of any nationality together. The collaboration of identities and cultures through music is something that I am passionate about and can contribute to informatics. Music and I have a long history together. I started with piano lessons in first grade and ever since, my love of music has blossomed. When I took piano lessons, my parents forced me to practice every single day for at least 30 minutes. As a kid, I dreadfully hit the black and white keys as minutes felt like hours. On top of taking piano lessons I began learning guitar in high school. When I started to pick up the guitar, I found that I excelled at it. As a result, I was able to perform songs that I truly enjoyed. From Scott, my piano teacher, I learned the foundation of music and with Robin, my guitar teacher, I was able to find my passion for music. This love extends to diverse genres, but primarily electronic dance music (EDM). In the years I have spent at the University of Washington, I learned how to DJ, performed for large crowds, and started to produce my own music. In a way, the technology that I have used for music embodies the ideals of Informatics. Serato DJ (a computer software) and the Pioneer DDJ SR (DJ ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Essay Graduation Speech Isn t it strange how princes and kings And clowns who caper in sawdust rings And common folk, like you and me Are builders for eternity. • 8. Argumentative Essay On Co-Rumination Co rumination is a moderately new development, alluding to widely examining and returning to issues, guessing about issues, and concentrating on negative emotions with associates. Despite the fact that it is like self exposure in that it includes uncovering and examining an issue, it is more centered on the issues themselves and in this manner can be maladaptive. While self exposure is seen as a positive angle found in close kinships, a few sorts of self revelation can likewise be maladaptive. Co rumination is a sort of conduct that is emphatically associated with both rumination and self exposure and has been connected to a background marked by uneasiness in light of the fact that co ruminating may compound stresses over whether issues will be determined, about negative results of issues, and depressive findings because of the steady negative spotlight on upsetting themes, rather than critical thinking. In any case, co rumination is likewise firmly connected with superb kinships and closeness. (Wikipedia, 2014) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It s hard to understand that even some of your best friends and close family could actually be holding you back but once you cut that tie and push yourself you can be so much more successful. Personally I think the most successful people in life are the ones that can set A goal and not let anyone change their mind or run them a stray from their goal. This Ted Talk can help people even in their day to day life, if someone can set small goals throughout their day and make sure they stick to them. At times it s really hard to stick to goals especially long term. However if you can it will help you succeed in everyday life and long term like finishing college. College can be a great place for a study to happen but it can also be very bad, because there is so much diversity but generally unmotivated people don t even go to college but if they do they can t stick it out because they have no perseverance. • 12. Alternative Medicine For Traditional Medicine Essay When it comes to traditional medicine, it doesn t always work and there isn t always a scientific reason to prove it. There is no perfect medical solution in our world. When traditional medicine fails patients, many physicians believe that prescribing alternative forms of medicine is more harmful than not prescribing them at all, due to the supposed lack of evidence of their effectiveness. In this case, patients have no other options for treatment. However, research has shown that there is a significant amount of evidence that supports the effectiveness of alternative medicines. Alternative medication therefore should be presented to these in dire need as a legitimate and potentially effective form of treatment. Complementary and Alternative Medicine, also known as CAM, refers to any of a range of medical therapies that are not considered to be orthodox by the medical field. Complementary and Alternative Medicine has been a controversial subject among multiple physicians as they debate how agreeable it is to prescribe due to its lack of scientific backing. There have, however, been an increasing number of physicians who are more comfortable to prescribe CAMs. There have been greater regulations for upcoming doctors and physicians to study and be trained in a wide range of practices about alternative medicine before being certified as doctors. Many patients have relied on CAMs for their effectiveness due to the failure of conventional medicine and its treatment. If ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The melting point that was observed for N (4 butoxyphenyl)acetamide was 109.7˚C, and is lower than the literature value range of 131˚C. (Royal Society of Chemistry. 2018). This may be due to the presence of water and that impurities may be still present in the product that was formed. Solid substances that contain soluble impurities typically melts at a lower temperature than the pure compound (Kirsop. 2017). This is because the impurity disrupts the repeating pattern of forces that holds crystalline structure of the solid. These interactions impact the fate of the organisms lives, and that of the rest of the ecosystem. These interactions can either be direct and indirect. A direct organism affects an organism without outside interferences, while an indirect organism interaction is when an organism interacts an organism by its effects on a third organism. The three different direct interactions are competition in which both organisms interacting or negatively effect, mutualism in which both organisms benefit from the direct interactions, and predation in which one organism benefits from the interaction while the other one does not. The experiment is conducted by first placing two Styrofoam cups inside each other creating a makeshift calorimeter; then filling said calorimeter with ice water measured at zero ° Celsius. Next, a metal object with a mass of 30 grams or more is heated for five minutes in boiling water. After reaching the proper temperature of 100 ° Celsius, the metal is placed in the water. The water is stirred and the temperature is periodically read. These data points are recorded by the student to use current chemical formulas to discover the specific heat of the metal used in the experiment. Out of the three classifications on the periodic table metals, nonmetals, and metalloids metals is the most prominent (Encyclopedia Britannica). All those who are able to attend Seaworld and make it a reality, treasure the memories of viewing these oceanic creatures. The great opportunity of viewing animals in such a close and involved environment is amazing, but no one questions how those animals were initially imprisoned in their aquatic cages. Why should these cetaceans, marine mammals, be exploited and used merely as entertainment? The animals that are kept in captivity generally have a shorter lifespan than those that thrive in the wild due to a number of different factors. Cetaceans along with any other animals. should not be imprisoned for the entertainment of human beings. Dolphin performances have been a part of American culture since 1860 in the New York Aquarium as mentioned in the Rose Tinted Menagerie in 1990 that was written by William C. Johnson. • 37. The Constitution Of A Country s Government In order to state whether I am in favour of this statement or not, it is important to understand the statement itself. Constitution is a set of rules standardising the power and duties of a country s government as well as the rights of its individuals. Currently constitutions come under two key terms; codified and uncodified constitutions. The UK and countries like Israel and New Zealand are a prime example of uncodified constitutions but that is not to say it is unwritten. Uncodified constitution is one that is made up of numerous written sources. Magna Carta , the Bill of Rights , Act of Settlement and Parliament Acts are among those sources used by the UK. Due to the existence of many written sources it would not be accurate to refer to the UK constitution as unwritten instead a more suitable word that can be used is uncodified . Uncodified follows the normal processes for enacting statute law in order to alter or eradicate, the constitution therefore there is no judicial authority. Codified constitution on the other hand, is one that is entrenched and has key constitutional provisions collected within a single document. This type of constitution is referred to as a written constitution. The USA constitution, as an example, was drafted around as lon200 years ago and lays down the rights of American citizens and sets out the power of the government in place. This is because if you refer back to Graph 1.1 for example it is clear that there is a relative and steady increase in the rate of reaction as the concentration of catalase was increased. Although in part A, the results were fairly reliable and they clearly show the average increase in part B, one can see that the results that were obtained during the experiment were outliers of each other. Looking back at the table from part B when the 80% concentration of catalase was placed into the 3% Hydrogen Peroxide + 10% Copper II Sulphate the results of time it took for the filter disk to reach the top seemed to be unreasonable. Failing to change the hydrogen peroxide from part A to a new solution in part B may be an example of human error. Failure to mention this simple instruction may have led to the outliers in time retrieved in part B for the experiment. In the first trial when the filter timed out at 240 seconds at the bottom of the beaker, it may have been caused by the un dissolved copper II sulphate still at the bottom of the beaker. Also, they were blamed by Germany for defeat in WWI and as the cause for unemployment. However, mainly Jews were persecuted because of the way they looked.
