Keeping A Healthy Lifestyle On Food Intake
Introduction Our bodies need certain things in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Food is a key
ingredient to helping sustain our health throughout our life. When looking at our diet, we need to look
beyond total calories consumed. Instead, we need to break the foods down into the different molecules
that provide our body the proper nutrients to thrive and grow. Macronutrients are required by our
bodies to properly function, and are needed for growth and energy. These macronutrients consist of
proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates which we obtain from the foods we eat. Tracking food intake is one
way to analyze how food consumption meets, exceeds or falls short of recommended values. Through
behavior modification and small, specific goals, positive dietary changes can help maintain long term
health. Proteins are the building blocks of our bodies. From DNA to muscles, protein is a major part of
our bodies. Protein is found in meats, poultry, dairy, nuts, and fish. Each gram of protein we eat
consists of 4 calories. Proteins are made up of amino acids, known as the building blocks of proteins.
There are 20 amino acids, 9 of which are essential, since they are only obtained from the food in our
diet. The other 11 amino acids are considered non essential because our bodies have the ability to
create these amino acids. Lipids, or fats, are important to our bodies. Lipids in our diet come from
foods such as meats, nuts, dairy and oils. Each gram

Royal Bank Porter s Five Forces Model
The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is the largest bank in Canada based on market capitalization. The
bank was founded in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1864 with the name, Merchants Bank of Halifax.
Throughout the years, it has expanded globally through their offices in Canada, the U.S. and 49 other
countries around the world. Royal Bank entered the 1990 s financially stable regardless of the severe
economic challenges of the 1980 s. This allowed them to make strategic acquisitions of companies
which paved the way for their transformation from retail bank to global financial services.

The internet also made it easier and reduced the cost for people to compare the prices of
opening/holding accounts, as well as the rates offered at various banks so the power of the buyer
increases. The pressure coming from threat of substitutes is weak to medium because insurances,
mutual funds, and fixed income securities are a few of the many banking services that are also offered
by non banking companies such as Sony, General Motors, and Microsoft, which offer preferred
financing on big ticket items (ex. Houses, cars, furniture). The pressure coming from the bargaining
power of suppliers is strong because banks have four main suppliers; customer deposits, mortgages
and loans, mortgage baked securities, and loan from other financial institutes; and the power of the
suppliers is heavily based on the market so their power frequently fluctuates between medium to high.
The pressure coming from the threat of new entrants is weak because although there are a few new
banks opening every year, they eventually close down because people have more trust in big name and

The Four Horsemen
4 HorseMen
Prologue
On December 17th 1985 it began. Heaven erupted with a fury like no other. Its gates opened up and a
horn blast rang out, with this a white horse appeared. The rider carried with him a crown and a bow.
His goal was to spread a war of conquest across his given portion of the Earth.
After a short amount of time yet another horn blast rang throughout the earth. A second horse, this one
fiery red, appeared through the gate. The rider carried with him a sword held upright as if ready to go
to war. He too set off to his given portion of the earth to spread a war among all those who inhabit that
land.
Shortly thereafter another horn blast cried out. This time a black horse appeared, the rider carried with
him a scale. He too had a set goal, his was to spread a great famine like none the earth had seen across
his portion of the land, killing all in it. He set off to his allotted section and began his work.
Lastly, another horn blasted out. This time the horse was a dilapidated sickly green horse. The rider
appeared in a black cloak with a large cowl so that his entire face was hidden. He carried with him a
large scythe. He was to spread death to every being who crossed his path in his allotted section of the
earth.
The White horse held a domain upon the area known as North America. A great war between Canada
and the United States broke out. All of South America turned into complete war with no form of
government. Within a week the death toll

The Global Organization must have Virtual System of Boundary Spanning Relationships, thus

STRUCTURE FOR INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
There is a fact that rarely can a firm extend its domestic structure into a global environment.
Also there is no ideal model that defines the optimal multinational organization.
Nevertheless, companies try to establish stable systems for management.

The export function is a responsibility distinct from domestic marketing. As a company establishes
foreign markets, it must develop the ability to facilitate the necessary transactions. This process often
requires new abilities to respond to unfamiliar customers. These activities extend beyond adjunct
marketing responsibilities, and firms usually acknowledge the separate needs by staffing export
offices with people skilled in international business. Many companies retain this structure for long
periods of time, merely expanding office staff as required. As it shown in figure 7.3:

Young girl vs Policeman A march turned into a protest in Santiago Chile on September 11th, 2016.
The march was held to commemorate victims of dictator Augusto Pinochet. The march turned violent
when members of the military special forces started arresting marchers, and the marchers fought back.
On September 11th, 1973 a violent military overthrow of socialist President Salvador Allende
happened in Chile. Leading the coup was the army general turned brutal dictator Augusto Pinochet
and the Chilean military security forces. The military coup was financially by the United States
government, whom also armed the military security forces. Pinochet, and the military security forces
spent the next 17 years committing unspeakable crimes against the Chilean citizens. Although
Pinochet stepped down in 1990, no one was held accountable for human rights violations that

Applying The Following Method To Calculate The Optimal...
CE2.18 To increase the BER performance, I applied the following method to calculate the optimal
rotation angle (θ_opt) for the interleaving system applied to MQAM/MPSK schemes. The selection of
optimal rotation angle is based on finding the expression of average symbol error probability (P_s)
corresponding to θ given certain signal to noise ratio (SNR). I found out that the optimal rotation
angle (θ_opt) approximately around 8.6 degree will maximize the BER performance. CE2.19 I noticed
that the simulating process was a time consuming process due to iterative decoding. I observed that for
the calculation of probability of the binary index for kth bit, large computational load required. As a
result, memory usage was increased due to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I designed the normal BCH encoding process by using three steps using the above figure. 1) I used a
generator polynomial according to the DVB T2 standard table the error correcting capability of DVB
T2 is equal to 12. 2) I divided the message sequence using the generator polynomial in a Galois field
with α=2 and the remainder resulted in the parity check sequence. 3) I appended the parity check
sequence to the message sequence to get the BCH encoded message C2.25 I calculated fast encoding
process using G(X) = [Ik ⋮P]. The size of G(x) is Nbch × Kbch whereas letter I was the identity matrix
with the size of Kbch × Kbch and P was the redundancy matrix , the size of the matrix was Kbch ×
(Nbch − Kbch) and Nbch was the length of the binary BCH code. C2.26 I was concerned about the
implementation of the fast encoding process as it was required to build a huge matrix, which would
over exceed the range. I reshaped this huge matrix with the help of Matlab tool. Based on the
simulation results, I concluded that longer parity check will provide better the error detection as well
as correction and can pre calculate the parity check sequence. C2.27 I was assigned to design the BCH
decoder. I created a syndrome generation by substituting 2t roots of the original message in the
polynomial form of the received codeword. I used these

Coin Operation And Us Involvement
COIN Operation and US Involvement in Afghanistan COL (R) Frank Hall CJ 4475 Term Paper By:
Alejandro Cespedes Northwestern State University 02 November 2014 COIN Operation and US
involvement in Afghanistan Abstract Counterinsurgency, well known as COIN, operations refers to an
activity where the armed forces in collaboration with the civilian populous try to defend the legitimacy
of existing government from internal insurgency (Paul, Clarke, 2011). According to Field Manual 3
24, counterinsurgency is a deliberate and combined effort by both civilian and military to resist and
probably defeat in any attempt of taking power by the insurgents. In this case, the effort may involve
comprehensive war against the insurgents as well as attempts to solve the major cause of such
insurgency by addressing key issues of concern (Defense Science Board Task Force on Defense
Intelligence, 2011). By doing this, a counterinsurgency operation may yield positive results for the
local and international community. The main aim is to protect the legitimate government from being
over thrown and to strengthen its rule within the territory. Consequently, innocent civilians also get an
opportunity to help the COIN operation with necessary information among other resources that aid in
defeating the insurgents hence restoring normalcy. COIN operations are not only done for the interest
of the local community, but also the international community (Steger, 2011). In this report, US

Violence In Things Fall Apart Essay
Violence in Things Fall Apart In great literature, no scene of violence exists for its own sake. Things
Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe uses violence as a means to portray the struggles between change and
tradition. The scene that captures this struggle the best is the murder of Ikemefuna. Within in the scene
the reader is both exposed to the traditions of Umuofia and the Ibo culture as well as, the struggle and
moral hardships they place on the people of the tribe. The killing of Ikemefuna exemplifies the
struggle between tradition and change that occurs throughout the entirety of the novel. Ikemefuna was
brought to Umuofia as payment for the killing of a young women from the tribe. The clan leaders
decided that Ikemefuna would live with Okonkwo at his compound. While staying at the compound
Ikemefuna formed a close bond with Okonkwo s oldest son, Nwoye (Achebe 34). The two of them
became inseparable and Nwoye began to look up and admire Ikemefuna. Okonkwo appreciated ...

Okonkwo had grown to love Ikemefuna, but in the end he could not choose to be weak. Ibo tradition
states that men are warriors and that there are certain prices to be paid. Tradition did not account for
Okonkwo s love. Love was a weakness for men, they were meant to be stoic and strong. Throughout
the murder of Ikemefuna Okonkwo has an inner struggle between choosing to breakaway from what is
expected of him and save the boy or what is the tradition of the Ibo culture (61). He chooses the latter
and slices Ikemefuna down with his machete. The violence of the scene is then contrasted by the
morose tone of the portion of the novel that immediately follows. Okonkwo does not speak and barely
eats for the next few days (63). He mourns the boy in secret. Too afraid to show feelings, Okonkwo
hides away from the world. The killing of Ikemefuna clearly portrays the struggle between tradition

Sealed Air Corporation
Why did Sealed Air undertake a leveraged Recapitalization? How much value was created? Where did
it come from?
Sealed Air Corp. has undergone a program to improve its production efficiency and product quality
through elevated borrowing. The company undertook the leveraged recapitalization for a number of
reasons: * Payout the special cash dividends ($40/share) * Provide working capital * Refinance
existing debt
The company decided to undertake this step mainly because of increased competition within the
industry in the mid 1980 s. The company achieved that through introducing the WCM World Class
Manufacturing, which eventually increased the company s cash.
Sealed Air had substantial amounts of cash and limited opportunities for investments and mergers and
acquisitions, therefore, the company faced difficulties in managing the extensive amounts of cash
available on hand. Management believed that the recapitalization was a good idea since increased
competition compelled the company to undergo such a step because competitors started exploiting the
patents that were previously

Back then, you got killed if you were a Jew. Today if you are mexican, African American, Caucasian,

However, it still had service contracts for moving boxes from A to B as a solution to its logistics and
the service contract did not fully capture those benefits within Tesco Lotus.
While Linfox was on service contract with Tesco Lotus, there were lots of duplications that were not
necessarily valuable to any side in the business. For example both were hiring porters and transport
managers, etc. There was also overlap in accountability. For example, the warehouse was blaming
transport and transport blaming warehouse for losses.
Linfox vision is to be the supply chain partner of choice for customers across Asia Pacific. It is also
focused on earning the right to grow with selected customers as opposed to growing by increasing
customer base. A prerequisite to this is alignment: Linfox had to align itself to customers in order to

customer focus, investment, operations excellence, people focus, IT, and improvement to the
environment. Tesco Lotus business was continually changing and evolving and the previous service
contract could not have flexed to meet changing business needs. Customers started becoming
increasingly frustrated and lack of transparency and alignment between the storage and distribution
was witnessed due lack of coordination between the two[viii].

Icu Family Needs Essay
Evidence Based Research Family needs during ICU
Gysell Viveros
Breckenridege School of Nursing
Having a family member unexpectedly in ICU can be a painful and difficult time. Evidence based
practice demonstrates that when a member of their social system is compromised, the entire family is
disrupted. The unfamiliar environment leaves family members in severe stress and in a state of shock.
Family members also require attention and needs to help cope with the stress of a family member in
intensive care unit. These needs are grouped into five categories: receiving assurance, remaining near
the patient, receiving information, being comfortable, and having support available. There should be ...

Second step in meeting the needs, is remaining near the patient. The desire to link and maintain
familial relationships helps. It brings a family closer while at the same time support is given to the
patient. Since being in ICU is an unexpected event, many time family members depend of the nurses
to be near the patients. In ICU the nurses have a ratio usually of 1:2. As an intervention to have this
need met, tell family members of the flexible visiting hours. Inform them of the visiting hours, timing
of visitors, and the visitors permitted. They are informed of the unit routine and patient care needs.
The ICU should establish practice guidelines for family visiting that incorporate patient and family
needs for proximity, maintain family relationships, and allow family to support the patient (Kirchhoff,
Pugh, Calame and Reynold, 1993). Research demonstrates that flexible, inclusive, and open visiting
that is responsive to patient, family, and care is beneficial to all parties (Titler, 1998).
Receiving information is the third family need. The critical care nurse should assess the knowledge the
family has and needs. Let the family members know that it would be best to choose a designated
family member to inform everyone of any changes and keep everyone in the family circle informed of
the patient s progress. Giving the patients family information will give them a sense of control and
help reduce their anxiety.

Overall, the issues were caused by the hospital s financial status and the FCHP representative s

There are two different issues depicted in this case study. The first issue is shared between all of the
hospital physicians, including Dr. Wood, the leader of the group. They are able to resolve the issue, of

In Case 28 and Case 30 both leaders face more than one issue, however, they were not similar. Both
leaders are also impacted by their communication strategies, and inability to fully collaborate with

lowest priorities. Although it is such a low priority it should not be. When you are young is the exact
time you should start saving in order to get the maximum funds possible. One of the best ways to help
money grow over a long period of time is investing in some sort of the stock market; mutual funds,
exchange traded funds, or a well diversified mix of individual stocks. There are many different ways
to spread your money out in the stock market. Spreading the money out in the stock market helps
because if one portion is performing poorly then not all of the money is being lost and other parts may
be doing well. Although the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only time to actually buy stocks or shares is when the market is open. It is possible to place orders
that will be executed once the market is open but it is not possible to buy any stocks or shares after
hours. It is also important to know what a stock or share means. Essentially a stock is just a share in a
company. A stock or share represents a claim on the company s assets and earnings. This means the
better a company does then it is likely the price of a share or stock in that company is going to rise.
This is due to the fact that the company is now worth more so in correlation so are the stocks or shares
in said company. Another term that might be heard is equity. This is basically a synonym to the word
share in this instance. It just represents a percentage or an amount of the company that a shareholder
owns. A shareholder is someone who holds stock in a company.
Not every company offers stocks or shares however. Some companies are considered private
companies. This means that 100% of the company is owned by the company itself. Whereas public
companies offer stocks and shares which basically means that the public owns a certain percentage of
the company. For example Apple only owns about 43% of their own company. That means that the
public essentially owns about 57% of Apple! It is crazy to think that the public can own such a big
portion of such a large influential company like Apple. Public companies are the

Oedipus The King Research Paper
Tragedies are events that cause great suffering, distress, and destruction, such as a serious accident,
crime or natural catastrophe. One example of a tragedy is Oedipus The King, written by Sophocles
around 441 B.C. Many events in this tragedy take place and cause the main character, Oedipus, to
reach his downfall. Oedipus intelligence, pursuit of truth, and hot temper all contribute to his
downfall. Oedipus intelligence is one thing that leads to his downfall. When Oedipus first came to
Thebes he had solved the riddle of the sphinx. Because of this, the Priest had come to him and asked
him to help them with the plague that has come to Thebes (39 43). The priest comes to Oedipus
saying, You freed us from the Shinx, you came to Thebes and cut us loose from the bloody tribute we
had paid that harsh, brutal singer (44 46). The village came to Oedipus because they felt that he could
help them. He had helped them before and he could help them again. If Oedipus did not defeat the
sphinx he would not have become king. They would not have found out that he killed King Laius
because they would still be hiding from the Sphinx. He would not have married his mother and the

A Report On The Network
In this section, we will see the two networks constructed in Mininet and the flows running through the
network
Flows:
1. A total of 12 simulations were run through the network. Flows were generated between hosts using
the tool D ITG.
2. Traffic generation:
D ITG is used for generating traffic in the network. Random hosts and clients are selected for sending
traffic. To get sufficient delay in the network the link is used up to 100% in case of heavy traffic,
around 70% for medium traffic and 20% for low traffic. The receiver logs are registered for each flow.
Flows nature is UDP as UDP does not re attempt to send a dropped packet. The packet size is fixed to
1024 and number of packets send per second can be changed depending on the traffic requirement.
The following tables give the details of each flow which were simulated for network 1.
The network was created in Mininet. It consists of 12 hosts and 8 OpenV switches. It uses the external
controller which is selected in Mininet python code.
Network 2 is constructed in Mininet. It is a partial tree structure with 11 switches and 12 hosts.
External Floodlight controller is connected to the Mininet network using python code. The controller
is set in a different Virtual machine.
Each KQI will be analyzed for all three algorithms on both the network.
1. Average Delay:
The best performing algorithm for high traffic flows is a latency based algorithm. It gives a minimum
delay of 1.845 sec which is 28% lower than the delay observed

Tiger Woods And Its Effect On Golf
Golf. A sport that was dull and mundane twenty years ago, evolved when Tiger Woods came to the
scene. I started golfing during high school and loved it for the single fact, Tiger Woods played it.
Growing up I pictured golf as that once boring sport played by old white men lacking a fan base. Just
like myself, many people hated the idea of watching golf, so the sport needed a change. Tour earnings
were low, scoring was average, and young people did not want to pick up the sport. Tiger Woods came
on the tour in 1997 and astronomically changed the view of golf. The Tiger Effect on golf is real and
more people have been trying to work harder to get to that Tiger bench mark. He single handily
brought golf to the limelight and made it interesting to watch this godly like figure tear up the greens
while becoming an idol to young golfers around the world.
Just do it. Nike s famous quote is seen everywhere across the world, but what exactly does it mean? In
a new commercial developed by Nike in early 2015, titled Ripple, the widely known global empire
portrayed their famous phrase. The two main characters in this piece of media are Tiger Woods and
Rory McIlroy, two well known and successful golfers. The commercial displays the life of little Rory
growing up, following the career of his idol, Tiger Woods to eventually teeing off with him. This
abstract commercial had an enormous effect on audiences, because it revealed the path of a golfer who

Bourgeoisie By Karl Marx
Karl Marx, a historian and political theorist, believed that there would be a great revolution involving
the proletariat, or working class who sell their labor, and the bourgeoisie, who control the means of
production. Because the bourgeoisie controlled the means of production, the proletariat were under the
control of the bourgeoisie, and had to sell their labor even though the work was alienating to them.
Working in factories was the only job they could land, but were forced to do so to survive. The actions
of the bourgeoisie and proletariat prove
Marx s idea that everything done in society is for capital gains, or money. Marx proposed that the
proletariat would rise up and all would become one class, working together for the society.

The final stage through which a product passes is referred as the decline stage. At this stage, the
product is approaching the end of its lifespan. The product is characterized by major defects that
include malfunctioning of batteries, broken screens, and erratic behavior of the controls and displays
(Stark, 2015). Such issues significantly impair the functioning of the product and in most cases such
functions cannot be retrieved even with the best technical support. At this stage, the efficiency of the
phone greatly declines. Moreover, such issues are very expensive to rectify. Due to the inefficiency of
the product, it is finally disposed of either by selling it to a dealer or by withdrawing its operations.
Disposal of Compact Discs (CDs) In my neighborhood, the most commonly used method of disposal

Wormwood, or Artemisia Maritima Essay
Wormwood, or Artemisia Maritima, is a low maintenance plant that is easy to grow. This plant is great

Wormwood is a hardy plant that can tolerate drought, maritime exposures and temperatures as low as

distance by its silver gray colour. It is a flowering plant, growing close to two metres high. The leaves

I grow this plant in light sandy, medium loamy, salty soil that is well drained but moist with a pH of 6

must ensure that the compost does not dry out. When they are large enough to handle, I plant the
seedlings into individual pots. There can up to 50,000 seeds on each stem which are viable for three to
fours years! I keep them in the greenhouse during their first winter.
In the late spring to early summer of their next year, I plant them outside. The plants must be planted
two feet apart. I prune half of the ripe wood in July or August and divide the plants in the spring or the

Student Music Outreach Program
I planned, organized, and currently execute a student music outreach program at the Greenspring
Assisted Living Community. At first, volunteering was simply a way for me to fulfill a community
service requirement for school. I was assigned basic tasks such as delivering the mail, or transporting
residents to church, lunch, whatever was asked of me. The time I dedicated was so enjoyable that I
continued to volunteer after my requirements were complete. Gradually, I was given more jobs and
responsibility which allowed me to directly interact with a greater amount of residents. Eventually, I

I have played the upright double bass since elementary school and have continually invested my time
and focus into music. Music has taught me discipline through practice and has also brought me
tremendous enjoyment. It is a gift I believed that the residents would appreciate so I decided to share
the benefits of live music with my friends at Greenspring. Just playing bass on my own for a couple
hours would have been incredibly difficult and likely not as enjoyable to the audience. Therefore, I
devised a music outreach program to connect the elderly and student music communities. I presented
my plan to the head of administration at Greenspring as well as the heads of local schools Guitar,
Orchestra, and Band departments. Next, I approached the student music organizations such as the Tri
M music honor society to solicit students for my program. Students of all backgrounds, disciplines,
and passions then signed up and performed to fulfill their service requirements. While many initially
volunteered for the same reasons as I did, many students became regulars within the program.
Interacting with widely differing communities of musicians and elders bestowed upon me a crucial
component of leadership: adaptability. I welcomed all residents, introduced each student, and the
purpose of my program. To this day my fellow musicians and I perform special music exhibitions for
the residents a few times a year. There is nothing like the ability to play before a live audience, fulfill
student service requirements, and provide a meaningful service for the elderly community. I am proud

Analysis Of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The film and its relation to fiction stories
Annotated Bibliography
Fincher, David, director. The girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Music Box Films, 2010.
David Fincher s adaptation based The Girls with the Dragon Tattoo on the international bestselling
psychological thriller novel of the same name by the late Stieg Larsson. Director Fincher has created a
dramatic film, and it was extremely eye catching. From the opening moments, the trailer and the
characters led viewers into the serious air of a crime drama. At the beginning of the film, there is a
loud soundtrack of the electric guitar. While the vocalist is singing, a girl in the background is
screaming with fire images and this made viewers think the movie was about crime and sex.
Following the opening scenes, the film also pointed out the close to perfect teamwork of maybe the
not so professional detective and his genius young computer hacker assistant. They were from
different backgrounds, but agreed to work together and aid each other at part of the team, and
eventually fell in love.

The primary motivation seems to be to increase the strength of the domestic economy by first
expanding overseas and facilitating as many countries as possible to trade with the US. Indeed, the US
wanted to help rebuild Europe in order to build good markets for US not for humanitarian reasons.
The clearest example of this comes from Assistant secretary of state Dean Acheson whilst testifying
before a special congressional committee on post war planning. He stated When you look at the

The USSR and the eastern bloc represented a serious obstacle to this and one can see how these
Imperialist tendencies caused an inevitable clash with the USSR as they represented an obstacle to the
aim of reformation of global capitalism to facilitate trade with the US. The USSR posed a real threat
to US economic hegemony hence a standoff between the two was in many ways inevitable due to the
US aggressively searching for new markets. The US was keen to assert American influence in eastern
Europe by demanding free elections, breaking the Percentages Agreement. Conversely Stalin had
upheld his side of the Agreement in regard to the Greek communists. Stalin would have viewed all
these actions as an attempt by the US to reorganise the governments in Eastern Europe to align with
the open door policy and to coerce the USSR into accepting US policies. The US also orchestrated
riots over soviet spheres of influence as pointed out by Williams. The repressive attitudes undertaken
by Stalin, such political repressions in Bulgaria and Poland can be seen as a reaction to the US trying
to intrude in on their sphere of influence and these measures were a defensive

It appears that these eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia are linked to the drive for thinness

indicated that television viewing predicts disordered eating in preadolescent girls without yet
influencing their current body ideal. (Harrison et. al, 2006 p. 162) The last study examined media
exposure and disordered eating. Irving (2001), stated reported that children ages eight to eighteen
spend at least 6 ½ hours daily using computers, watching television, playing video games, and is

influences behavior and attitudes. (Irving, 2001, p. 259) This study also indicated that the impact of

Why Drawing Is Drawing
A person can have many skills, whether it be good or bad. Someone could paint really well or could be
a disastrous cook. There are many common skills such as doing underwater handstands and then there
are skills that are absolutely out of the blue, for example bending their index finger backwards down
the wrist. My skill isn t too common though it isn t very unique either. My skill isn t painting or
cooking, or even having strangely, stretchy fingers. My skill is drawing. Drawing is one of my
passions, because it is a good stress reliever and it can help express emotion. Drawing is very useful
for when I m upset and need something to boost my moralemood and is comforting for just a normal,
rainy day activity. I especially draw especially when I m bored or trying to pass time. Some people
agree, and find drawing fun, but others may find it frustrating or boring. I enjoy drawing because it
lets me work at my own pace. I casually sketch, whether it be for a novel or just a plain doodle, I find
a way to maneuver it into random pieces of work. I could be working on notes, and sooner or later
have a mural on the sides of the paper. This is funny considering that when I get an actual sketching
pad, the sketches look horrible, but on a sheet of scratched up ... Show more content on

that without practice, a magnificent piece of art can be

Effects of IDA on HbA1C Levels
The first study to investigate the effects of IDA on HbA1C levels was by Horton[15], who
demonstrated the mean HbA1C concentration for four patients with IDA as 4.9% compared with a
mean HbA1C concentration of 5.3% among 14 healthy people.
Increasing evidence suggests a potential role of iron (Fe) in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes
mellitus. Fe is a strong pro oxidant leading to reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation resulting in
elevated oxidative stress. In animal models, Fe excess might result in pancreatic oxidative stress and
decrease insulin secretary capacity. Ferritin is a marker of Fe status in healthy individuals and an acute
phase reactant as well; elevated levels of ferritin have been shown in diabetic patients[16]. This
HbA1c enhancing effect of iron deficiency and fall in HbA1c levels after iron supplementation has
been previously documented in several studies [17, 18].
Our results demonstrate that there is a relation between iron therapy and HbA1C in patients with type
2 DM. Our results are in accordance with the findings of Brooks et al. and Davis et al. s study [19,
20]. They revealed a relationship between iron deficiency anemia and HbA1C levels and attempted to
ex¬plain the alteration in HbA1C levels in iron deficiency anemia on the basis of both modifications
to the structure of hemoglobin and levels of HbA1C in old and new red blood cells.

Twelve Angry Men Character Analysis
The way one person treats another is often a direct reflection of how they view themselves. People
with poor self images are often quick to judge, demean, belittle, and rebuke others for their mistakes,
shortcomings and flaws, simply out of spite or to protect their own reputation. This is true even in the
1957 MGM film Twelve Angry Men, where eleven of the twelve jurors attempt to convict a young
man not based off of sound evidence, but off of personal prejudice and self righteousness alone. It was
the leadership of the eighth juror, however, that convinced the other jurors to set aside their personal
biases to acquit the young man accused of killing his father. In the film, the eighth juror, Mr. Davis,
analyzes the self images of the other eleven jurors and displays the core values of humility, patience
and mercy in order to lead the group to the consensus that the accused is not guilty.
The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines humility as the quality or state of being humble and freedom
from pride or arrogance . Humility, simply put, is the opposite of prejudice. In the film, many of the
jurors enter the room with preconceived notions, falsified beliefs and irrational ideas about the
accused. Others enter the room unsure of their vote and to protect their pride, immediately side with
the jurors who believe the young man is guilty. Examples of this include how several of the jurors
stereotype the accused on the basis of race and how the third juror in particular forms a bias against
the young man simply because of his
age and the fact that the young man reminds him of his son. Mr. Davis, however, takes another stance.
In the book The Achievement Habit: Stop Wishing, Start Doing and Take Command of Your Life, Dr.
Bernard Roth states that true mindfulness is seeing without judging (Roth 205). Mr. Davis perfectly
models this quote as he approaches the issue with sympathy towards the young man in regard to his
upbringing. On an analytical level, the screenplay convincingly moves the audience to side with Mr.
Davis through the use of honest dialogue that allows viewers to put their trust in what Mr. Davis says.
The validity of Mr. Davis claims also stems from the profile of his character crafted by the

2015 Hill Lancet Summary
The 2015 Hill Lancet study was based on concerns about the increased costs and length of stay
associated with falls during hospital stays. Specifically, the study investigated the effectiveness of
individualized falls prevention education for patients at the ward level of a hospital, backed up by
training and feedback for staff. The following is a critique of this study using the Riegelman MAARIE
framework.
Method: The study question investigated was; what impact will individualized fall prevention
education, supported by training and feedback for staff reduce have on the number of falls during
hospital stays? The study was a pragmatic study of patients admitted to one of 8 rehabilitation units in
general hospitals that were over sixty years old, with a projected hospital stay of at least three days,
and had basic cognitive functioning. 3,606 patients admitted were admitted to the eight units during
the study period, with 1,983 in the control group and 1623 in the intervention group. The pragmatic
nature of the study is a strength given the nature of the intervention. However, the investigators do not
explain the logic of limiting the study to patients over age 60, with a length of stay of at least three
days, and this restricts the extrapolation of the results to these groups.
Assignment: The study ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The null hypothesis of no change or an increase in the number of falls is not in the CI indicating
statistical significance. Also, lending to the statistical significance was the fact that additional
statistical testing was performed to account for the nature of the cluster randomization. These tests
determined that the trial would have more than 80% to detect a 30% reduction in falls. Statistical
testing was also completed to account for seasonal fluctuations in patient volume. The rigorous nature
of the statistical testing in this study is a

Hedda Gabler By Henrik Ibsen
Women have always been a point of interest in the eyes of many readers in all time periods. They are
seen by society as mysterious, beautiful, sometimes outspoken, and so much more. However, women
of today s day and age don t hold a candle next to the Victorian Era s Hedda in the play Hedda Gabler
by Henrik Ibsen. Hedda Gabler, although a heinous person at heart, is an extremely powerful woman
who uses that power to mask her own fears. So why is it that Hedda Gabler displays herself in such a
manner? Within this essay the reader will learn how Hedda acts, the forms in which she controls those
around her, in what ways she gets exactly it is that she wants, when and how she wants it, as well as
what her fears are and where they may have stemmed from. In the play, the author, Henrik Ibsen,
describes Hedda as a women caught up with only the aesthetic aspects of life. She cares not for the
feelings or well being of those around her, but rather how those same people view her. As any woman
in this time period would desire, especially a prestigious one being born from a general, a spotless and
well rounded reputation is essential in obtaining respect , gaining power, and going on about simple
day to day living. As described by one scholar, Their work ranged from the grand sweep of politics to
the minutiae of everyday life (Maitzen). Often, Hedda would put aside responsibility and other tasks
to focus on her beauty and how she was viewed. Her beauty was one of the many

Death Is The Worst Thing
There is one thing in this world that no one can escape, that everyone fears, and makes people who are
close to that person miserable, and that is death. Death is the worst thing that can ever happen to a
person, and is just as bad for the people who are close to them. There is an emptiness that comes with
the death of a loved one or someone close. That blankness in the world does something to the people
who encompass that person who passed. It changes people, whether it is for better or worse. Death is a
part of life and depending on how people are affected can dictate whether it will leave a positive or
negative change to their life and that conversion happened to me with the death of my mother, Fran. I
can recall the day it happened, like it was yesterday, the air had a certain emptiness to it. It felt cold,
barren, but it just felt like any normal rough day, where everything would not go your way. I arrived
home from hockey practice like I do every Thursday with my father and was ready to lay down before
I did my homework. Then we got the call and we bolted to the emergency room at Mercy Hospital.
The nurse took us into a waiting room and we heard the heartbreaking news from the physician and
the room went still. It was not a typical quiet but so quiet that you could almost hear your heart
pounding out of your chest. When we saw my Mother, and we shockingly gazed what the car crash
did to her it was a completely eye opening. This could not be your Mother; that is all

Positive Tactical Tools
Mrs. Mangraviti used positive tactical tools. Positive tactical tools such as: positive reinforcement and
feedback, compliments and praise. These tools assisted Mrs. Mangraviti to connect better with
students by preventing undesired behaviours, by changing behaviour and motivating students when
desired behaviour was demonstrated.
A positive reinforcement was used in the form of real tasty gumball lolly. All students had a cut out
picture of a gumball machine on their desks. The gumball machine had twenty hallowed small circles
inside which represented little fake gumballs. When a student displayed expected behaviour or abided
by classroom rules, they would receive a small circle coloured sticker to stick inside their gumball
machine picture. When twenty stickers were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mangraviti consistently complimented or praised her students when they followed instructions or
achieved set goals. Before we went into class Mrs. Mangraviti instructed her students to take hats off,
put bags on hooks and get their fruit out of their bags (M. Mangraviti, personal communication, 2016).
However, occasionally Mrs. Mangraviti would intentionally not give these three instructions to test
her students. If a student that would normally throw their school bag on the floor actually hung it on a
hook, Mrs. Mangraviti praised them. Thank you for hanging your school bag on the hook without me
asking (M. Mangraviti, personal communication, 2016). Mrs. Mangraviti would also compliment her
student s good manners and good work. However, according to (Education World, 2016),
complimenting and praising students should be on their effort and how hard they are trying, not how
good they are at something, which will challenge them to continue learning and it gives them
reasoning of their efforts (para.7). This preventative strategy is linked closest to the Cognitive
Behavioural Theory, as it teaches students to develop self management skills to behave and work

Essay Fbo Case
FBO, Inc. is a Fixed base operator at the Metropolis airport whose business is divided into two groups
of operations, namely
a) Refueling of Commercial (40%) under contract Retail (60%)
b) Provision of a variety of services (refueling, maintenance, and Avionics) to private and corporate
aircraft.
Reiling, the General Managers is concerned that the commercial contract operations are not being
performed as efficiently as possible and is considering a variety of alternatives to alter operating
procedures and operations control. At the same time, if pooling is deemed inappropriate then the
implementation of a different format in the face of a hostile management/union relationship is a
concern.

In some instances, trucks were idle an additional one hour after refueling. Better organization of these
processes may allow the elimination of truck.
Following actions are most desirable:
1. Eliminate two of the trucks.
2. Can we reduce the size of the truck? Maintenance cost can be reduced.
3. Encourage maximum use of radios.
4. Try to obtain airline cooperation in notifying FBO s dispatcher about delays and other irregularities.
5. Install a communications system with the dispatcher.
6. Perhaps most important, improve scheduling rules. Among the improvements may be:
o Replacing the rule send a truck to meet plane with better communication between airline, the
dispatcher, and the truck drivers and
o Encouraging drivers to retop whenever their schedule permits and the truck reaches a certain level of
available capacity.
7. Insure that the lead dispatcher s position is filled with someone with both analytic and human skills.
The most difficult challenges in implementing these recommendations may well be the establishment
of more effective channels of communication with the airline customers. Because most of the action
should improve the working conditions and do not involve staff reductions, there should be few
objections from the union.

Ebola Essay
Ebola Impact on Human Health amp; Hygiene Essay
Historically Ebola has had a serious impact on human health and hygiene and still does due to the fact
of no vaccine or treatment being discovered, but thanks to improvements in scientific and medical
knowledge the virus itself is now controllable.
Ebola is the virus Ebolavirus (EBOV), a viral genus, and the disease Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF),
a viral hemorrhagic fever (VHF). The virus is named after the Ebola River Valley in the Democratic
Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire), which is near the site of the first recognized outbreak in 1976
at a mission hospital run by Flemish nuns. It has remained largely obscure until 1989 when several
widely publicized outbreaks occurred among ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2003 a vaccine using an adenoviral vector carrying the Ebola spike protein was tested on crab
eating macaques. The monkeys were challenged with the virus twenty eight days later, and remained
resistant.
Outbreaks of Ebola, with the exception of Reston Ebolavirus, have mainly been restricted to Africa. *
The Zaire virus, formerly named Zaire Ebolavirus, has the highest case fatality rate, up to 90% in
some epidemics, with an average case fatality rate of approximately 83% over 27 years. The first
outbreak took place on 26 August 1976 in Yambuku. * The Sudan Ebolavirus was the second species
of Ebola emerging simultaneously with the Zaire virus. It was believed to have originated amongst
cotton factory workers in Nzara, Sudan. The most recent outbreak occurred in May 2004 in Yambio
County, Sudan. The average fatality rates for SEBOV were 54% in 1976, 68% in 1979, and 53% in
2000 and 2001. * The Reston Ebolavirus was discovered during an outbreak of Simian hemorrhagic
fever virus (SHFV) in crab eating macaques from Hazleton Laboratories (now Covance) in 1989.
Since the initial outbreak in Reston, Virginia, it has emerged in Siena Italy, Texas, and among pigs in
the Philippines. Despite its status as a Level 4 organism, it is non pathogenic to humans although
hazardous in monkeys. * The Ivory Coast Ebolavirus also referred to as Tai Ebolavirus, was first
discovered among chimpanzees from the Tai

  • 2. Keeping A Healthy Lifestyle On Food Intake Introduction Our bodies need certain things in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Food is a key ingredient to helping sustain our health throughout our life. When looking at our diet, we need to look beyond total calories consumed. Instead, we need to break the foods down into the different molecules that provide our body the proper nutrients to thrive and grow. Macronutrients are required by our bodies to properly function, and are needed for growth and energy. These macronutrients consist of proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates which we obtain from the foods we eat. Tracking food intake is one way to analyze how food consumption meets, exceeds or falls short of recommended values. Through behavior modification and small, specific goals, positive dietary changes can help maintain long term health. Proteins are the building blocks of our bodies. From DNA to muscles, protein is a major part of our bodies. Protein is found in meats, poultry, dairy, nuts, and fish. Each gram of protein we eat consists of 4 calories. Proteins are made up of amino acids, known as the building blocks of proteins. There are 20 amino acids, 9 of which are essential, since they are only obtained from the food in our diet. The other 11 amino acids are considered non essential because our bodies have the ability to create these amino acids. Lipids, or fats, are important to our bodies. Lipids in our diet come from foods such as meats, nuts, dairy and oils. Each gram ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Four Horsemen 4 HorseMen Prologue On December 17th 1985 it began. Heaven erupted with a fury like no other. Its gates opened up and a horn blast rang out, with this a white horse appeared. The rider carried with him a crown and a bow. His goal was to spread a war of conquest across his given portion of the Earth. After a short amount of time yet another horn blast rang throughout the earth. A second horse, this one fiery red, appeared through the gate. The rider carried with him a sword held upright as if ready to go to war. He too set off to his given portion of the earth to spread a war among all those who inhabit that land. Shortly thereafter another horn blast cried out. This time a black horse appeared, the rider carried with him a scale. He too had a set goal, his was to spread a great famine like none the earth had seen across his portion of the land, killing all in it. He set off to his allotted section and began his work. Lastly, another horn blasted out. This time the horse was a dilapidated sickly green horse. The rider appeared in a black cloak with a large cowl so that his entire face was hidden. He carried with him a large scythe. He was to spread death to every being who crossed his path in his allotted section of the earth. The White horse held a domain upon the area known as North America. A great war between Canada and the United States broke out. CE2.18 To increase the BER performance, I applied the following method to calculate the optimal rotation angle (θ_opt) for the interleaving system applied to MQAM/MPSK schemes. The selection of optimal rotation angle is based on finding the expression of average symbol error probability (P_s) corresponding to θ given certain signal to noise ratio (SNR). I found out that the optimal rotation angle (θ_opt) approximately around 8.6 degree will maximize the BER performance. CE2.19 I noticed that the simulating process was a time consuming process due to iterative decoding. I reshaped this huge matrix with the help of Matlab tool. Based on the simulation results, I concluded that longer parity check will provide better the error detection as well as correction and can pre calculate the parity check sequence. According to Field Manual 3 24, counterinsurgency is a deliberate and combined effort by both civilian and military to resist and probably defeat in any attempt of taking power by the insurgents. In this case, the effort may involve comprehensive war against the insurgents as well as attempts to solve the major cause of such insurgency by addressing key issues of concern (Defense Science Board Task Force on Defense Intelligence, 2011). By doing this, a counterinsurgency operation may yield positive results for the local and international community. The main aim is to protect the legitimate government from being over thrown and to strengthen its rule within the territory. Consequently, innocent civilians also get an opportunity to help the COIN operation with necessary information among other resources that aid in defeating the insurgents hence restoring normalcy. Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe uses violence as a means to portray the struggles between change and tradition. The scene that captures this struggle the best is the murder of Ikemefuna. Within in the scene the reader is both exposed to the traditions of Umuofia and the Ibo culture as well as, the struggle and moral hardships they place on the people of the tribe. The killing of Ikemefuna exemplifies the struggle between tradition and change that occurs throughout the entirety of the novel. Ikemefuna was brought to Umuofia as payment for the killing of a young women from the tribe. The clan leaders decided that Ikemefuna would live with Okonkwo at his compound. Throughout the murder of Ikemefuna Okonkwo has an inner struggle between choosing to breakaway from what is expected of him and save the boy or what is the tradition of the Ibo culture (61). He chooses the latter and slices Ikemefuna down with his machete. The violence of the scene is then contrasted by the morose tone of the portion of the novel that immediately follows. The unfamiliar environment leaves family members in severe stress and in a state of shock. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Second step in meeting the needs, is remaining near the patient. The desire to link and maintain familial relationships helps. It brings a family closer while at the same time support is given to the patient. Since being in ICU is an unexpected event, many time family members depend of the nurses to be near the patients. In ICU the nurses have a ratio usually of 1:2. As an intervention to have this need met, tell family members of the flexible visiting hours. Inform them of the visiting hours, timing of visitors, and the visitors permitted. They are informed of the unit routine and patient care needs. The ICU should establish practice guidelines for family visiting that incorporate patient and family needs for proximity, maintain family relationships, and allow family to support the patient (Kirchhoff, Pugh, Calame and Reynold, 1993). Research demonstrates that flexible, inclusive, and open visiting that is responsive to patient, family, and care is beneficial to all parties (Titler, 1998). Receiving information is the third family need. The critical care nurse should assess the knowledge the family has and needs. When he wrote the letter he kept in mind the offers, and intentionally wrote a more favorable letter to the county commissioners. Overall, the issues were caused by the hospital s financial status and the FCHP representative s generous bribes to Dr. Wood. There are two different issues depicted in this case study. The first issue is shared between all of the hospital physicians, including Dr. Wood, the leader of the group. They are able to resolve the issue, of whether or not to accept the FCHP proposal to manage the hospital. They are able to make a concise agreement to object the proposal, with the help of Dr. Kopper s background information. The second issue is only faced by Dr. Wood, and develops when he is offered bribes by the FCPH representative, in exchange for a supportive letter to the county commissioners. In Case 28 and Case 30 both leaders face more than one issue, however, they were not similar. Both leaders are also impacted by their communication strategies, and inability to fully collaborate with those that they are leading. In Case 28 the leader did not seek out opinions from the employees he was leading. He did not request feedback or hold staff meetings to address the issue he faced. His policy and memorandum appeared to be based solely on his opinion of how the Department of Health and Human Services should be portrayed and he only sought out employee information when he ... It is possible to place orders that will be executed once the market is open but it is not possible to buy any stocks or shares after hours. It is also important to know what a stock or share means. Essentially a stock is just a share in a company. A stock or share represents a claim on the company s assets and earnings. This means the better a company does then it is likely the price of a share or stock in that company is going to rise. This is due to the fact that the company is now worth more so in correlation so are the stocks or shares in said company. Another term that might be heard is equity. This is basically a synonym to the word share in this instance. It just represents a percentage or an amount of the company that a shareholder owns. A shareholder is someone who holds stock in a company. Not every company offers stocks or shares however. Some companies are considered private companies. This means that 100% of the company is owned by the company itself. Whereas public companies offer stocks and shares which basically means that the public owns a certain percentage of the company. For example Apple only owns about 43% of their own company. That means that the public essentially owns about 57% of Apple! One example of a tragedy is Oedipus The King, written by Sophocles around 441 B.C. Many events in this tragedy take place and cause the main character, Oedipus, to reach his downfall. Oedipus intelligence, pursuit of truth, and hot temper all contribute to his downfall. Oedipus intelligence is one thing that leads to his downfall. When Oedipus first came to Thebes he had solved the riddle of the sphinx. Because of this, the Priest had come to him and asked him to help them with the plague that has come to Thebes (39 43). Ferritin is a marker of Fe status in healthy individuals and an acute phase reactant as well; elevated levels of ferritin have been shown in diabetic patients[16]. This HbA1c enhancing effect of iron deficiency and fall in HbA1c levels after iron supplementation has been previously documented in several studies [17, 18]. Our results demonstrate that there is a relation between iron therapy and HbA1C in patients with type 2 DM. Our results are in accordance with the findings of Brooks et al. and Davis et al. s study [19, 20]. They revealed a relationship between iron deficiency anemia and HbA1C levels and attempted to ex¬plain the alteration in HbA1C levels in iron deficiency anemia on the basis of both modifications to the structure of hemoglobin and levels of HbA1C in old and new red blood cells. • 39. Twelve Angry Men Character Analysis The way one person treats another is often a direct reflection of how they view themselves. People with poor self images are often quick to judge, demean, belittle, and rebuke others for their mistakes, shortcomings and flaws, simply out of spite or to protect their own reputation. This is true even in the 1957 MGM film Twelve Angry Men, where eleven of the twelve jurors attempt to convict a young man not based off of sound evidence, but off of personal prejudice and self righteousness alone. It was the leadership of the eighth juror, however, that convinced the other jurors to set aside their personal biases to acquit the young man accused of killing his father. In the film, the eighth juror, Mr. Davis, analyzes the self images of the other eleven jurors and displays the core values of humility, patience and mercy in order to lead the group to the consensus that the accused is not guilty. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines humility as the quality or state of being humble and freedom from pride or arrogance . Humility, simply put, is the opposite of prejudice. In the film, many of the jurors enter the room with preconceived notions, falsified beliefs and irrational ideas about the accused. Others enter the room unsure of their vote and to protect their pride, immediately side with the jurors who believe the young man is guilty. Examples of this include how several of the jurors stereotype the accused on the basis of race and how the third juror in particular forms a bias against the young man simply because of his age and the fact that the young man reminds him of his son. Mr. Davis, however, takes another stance. In the book The Achievement Habit: Stop Wishing, Start Doing and Take Command of Your Life, Dr. Bernard Roth states that true mindfulness is seeing without judging (Roth 205). Mr. Davis perfectly models this quote as he approaches the issue with sympathy towards the young man in regard to his upbringing. On an analytical level, the screenplay convincingly moves the audience to side with Mr. Davis through the use of honest dialogue that allows viewers to put their trust in what Mr. Davis says. The validity of Mr. Davis claims also stems from the profile of his character crafted by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. 2015 Hill Lancet Summary The 2015 Hill Lancet study was based on concerns about the increased costs and length of stay associated with falls during hospital stays. Specifically, the study investigated the effectiveness of individualized falls prevention education for patients at the ward level of a hospital, backed up by training and feedback for staff. The following is a critique of this study using the Riegelman MAARIE framework. Method: The study question investigated was; what impact will individualized fall prevention education, supported by training and feedback for staff reduce have on the number of falls during hospital stays? The study was a pragmatic study of patients admitted to one of 8 rehabilitation units in general hospitals that were over sixty years old, with a projected hospital stay of at least three days, and had basic cognitive functioning. 3,606 patients admitted were admitted to the eight units during the study period, with 1,983 in the control group and 1623 in the intervention group. The pragmatic nature of the study is a strength given the nature of the intervention. However, the investigators do not explain the logic of limiting the study to patients over age 60, with a length of stay of at least three days, and this restricts the extrapolation of the results to these groups. Assignment: The study ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The null hypothesis of no change or an increase in the number of falls is not in the CI indicating statistical significance. Also, lending to the statistical significance was the fact that additional statistical testing was performed to account for the nature of the cluster randomization. These tests determined that the trial would have more than 80% to detect a 30% reduction in falls. Statistical testing was also completed to account for seasonal fluctuations in patient volume. • 44. Death Is The Worst Thing There is one thing in this world that no one can escape, that everyone fears, and makes people who are close to that person miserable, and that is death. Death is the worst thing that can ever happen to a person, and is just as bad for the people who are close to them. There is an emptiness that comes with the death of a loved one or someone close. That blankness in the world does something to the people who encompass that person who passed. It changes people, whether it is for better or worse. Death is a part of life and depending on how people are affected can dictate whether it will leave a positive or negative change to their life and that conversion happened to me with the death of my mother, Fran. I can recall the day it happened, like it was yesterday, the air had a certain emptiness to it. It felt cold, barren, but it just felt like any normal rough day, where everything would not go your way. I arrived home from hockey practice like I do every Thursday with my father and was ready to lay down before I did my homework. Then we got the call and we bolted to the emergency room at Mercy Hospital. The nurse took us into a waiting room and we heard the heartbreaking news from the physician and the room went still. It was not a typical quiet but so quiet that you could almost hear your heart pounding out of your chest. When we saw my Mother, and we shockingly gazed what the car crash did to her it was a completely eye opening. This could not be your Mother; that is all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These tools assisted Mrs. Mangraviti to connect better with students by preventing undesired behaviours, by changing behaviour and motivating students when desired behaviour was demonstrated. A positive reinforcement was used in the form of real tasty gumball lolly. All students had a cut out picture of a gumball machine on their desks. Before we went into class Mrs. Mangraviti instructed her students to take hats off, put bags on hooks and get their fruit out of their bags (M. Mangraviti, personal communication, 2016). However, occasionally Mrs. Mangraviti would intentionally not give these three instructions to test her students. If a student that would normally throw their school bag on the floor actually hung it on a hook, Mrs. Mangraviti praised them. Thank you for hanging your school bag on the hook without me asking (M. Mangraviti, personal communication, 2016). Mrs. Mangraviti would also compliment her student s good manners and good work. However, according to (Education World, 2016), complimenting and praising students should be on their effort and how hard they are trying, not how good they are at something, which will challenge them to continue learning and it gives them reasoning of their efforts (para.7). • 48. Ebola Essay Ebola Impact on Human Health amp; Hygiene Essay Historically Ebola has had a serious impact on human health and hygiene and still does due to the fact of no vaccine or treatment being discovered, but thanks to improvements in scientific and medical knowledge the virus itself is now controllable. Ebola is the virus Ebolavirus (EBOV), a viral genus, and the disease Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF), a viral hemorrhagic fever (VHF). The virus is named after the Ebola River Valley in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire), which is near the site of the first recognized outbreak in 1976 at a mission hospital run by Flemish nuns. The first outbreak took place on 26 August 1976 in Yambuku. * The Sudan Ebolavirus was the second species of Ebola emerging simultaneously with the Zaire virus.
