The Horizon s Setting 2020 Strategy
Abstract: The term dependable (examination and) advancement has increased expanding EU
arrangement significance in the most recent two years, specifically inside of the European
Commission s Science in Society program, in the Horizon s setting 2020 Strategy. We give a brief
verifiable diagram of the idea, and distinguish three particular components that are rising up out of

Humans have been innovators, from the first shapers of stone and wood into crude implements, to the
inventors of electronic gadgets that entertain us and help us manage our lives from our shirt pockets.
Today innovation is based not only on the challenges, problems, and needs but also on the social,
political, and cultural conditions prevailing in the prospective market. People fear the unknown ó
especially when they believe that it could adversely affect their health or established social systems.
The triangle of technology, innovation, and society is one of the central spheres of modern activities.
Successful innovation frequently is not only the result of scientific technical progress. Non technical
aspects, such as political and economic framework conditions, acceptance by the population, or ethical
questions also play an important role in the decision whether and which technologies contribute to the
solution of societal problems.
Background Theory: By the 1980 s, the use of technology began to escalate.
A 1982 study by The New York Times stated, The study was made by the
Institute for the Future, a Menlo Park, Calif., and agency under contract to the
National Science Foundation. It was an attempt at the risky business of technology assessment,

Ethical And Legal Boundaries Of Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo is an American bank that was created in 1852 by Henry Wells and James Fargo. It is the
second largest bank in the USA in terms of market cap, operates in over 42 countries around the
world, and has over 260,000 employees.
In 2016, federal regulators caught Wells Fargo, creating millions of fake bank and credit card
accounts; over 1.5 million bank accounts were created. Furthermore, federal regulators also said that
565,443 credit cards were created, and 1400 of those accounts had been charged over 400,000 dollars
in fees. Wells Fargo employees broke many ethical and legal boundaries and engaged in
counterproductive work behavior.
Counterproductive work behavior has a negative impact on the company, it s employees and ... Show

This practice was so common that Wells Fargo employees had several methods for doing this. The
first method is sand bagging. Sand Bagging involves failing to open accounts by customers at their
requested date, instead accumulating accounts to open in the next sales period to inflate profits.
Another practice was called Pinning which was creating pin numbers without customer s
authorization, and attaching them to credit cards. Then employees would impersonate customers on
Wells Fargo s computers and use these pin numbers to create online banking and bills for customers.
Finally, a practice called bundling was done where Wells Fargo employees would mislead customers
saying that certain banking products were only available in bundles which forced customers to add
more products than they wanted. So, one wonders, how could this have happened? Why did high
expectations of sales lead to unethical, almost criminal behaviour? This is tied to Goal Setting theory.
Goal setting theory, created by Edwin Locke, states that employees are motivated by clear goals, and
appropriate feedback. Individuals that were given clear, specific and difficult goals had greater
performance than individuals given general and easy goals. However, research has shown that setting
unattainable and challenging goals can lead to risky or even unethical behaviour. A study done by

Essay about America Needs a Larger Gas Tax
America Needs a Larger Gas Tax
Don t you hate driving up to the gas station to fill up your car with gasoline only to see that the price
has risen again. You stand there stunned for a moment. Just long enough for the rage to build up and
compell you to go into a frenzy of screaming obsceneties. Yes, it is a scene that happens all across the
country, but, I think I can offer some words of advice: Get used to it.
You may hate the gas prices now but if I had my way I would raise it a whole dollar more than what it
is now. Now before you gouge my eyes out let me explain. Gas prices should go up a dollar for three
reasons. First, we need to build a high speed rail system in America. We are long overdue for one and

We would keep it tightly regulated and only the
upmost security would be kept.
A high speed rail system would be a good idea for many reasons. Primarily, it would cut down on the
amount of people who drive or fly. In 1997 the government issued a report about how high speed
trains would help solve congestion problems that face our nation s highways and airports
(www.fra.dot.gov/o/hsgt/index.html). Also, most high speed trains require less fuel than your average
airplane or automobile.
Money left over form the tax, or if we choose to continue the tax just for this purpose, would be used
to help fund research on alternative fuels. They have already made a great many advances with
alternative fuels and hybrid cars. Honda has already made a that can travel up to 700 miles on one
tank of gas. And it can get up to 70 mpg on the highway
(www.consumerenergycenter.org/transportation/afv/hybrid.html). This kind of progress has all been
done within the last decade. Imagine with a little extra funding the progress that could be made.
Imagine, driving down the road, getting about 100 to 150 mpg. You would no longer have to even
worry about gas prices because you would only have to fill up about once a month, which leads me to
the next reason why raising gas prices would be a good idea.
If we raise gas prices now it ll mean a lot lower prices later on. Simple math will

The Inclusion Of Special Educational Needs
The inclusion of special educational needs (SEN) students into mainstream schools is a key issue
across England. The Education for All Handicapped Children Act (Public Law 94 142) states that all
handicapped children [have] the right to a free appropriate public education. However, there has been
much debate concerning which approaches have a more active influence on the efficacy of inclusion.
This essay will aim to investigate how practical and successful inclusion techniques are within a
community whilst underlying both the advantages and disadvantages that inclusion may generate. The
terminology associated with this discussion is one of the main factors contributing to ineffective
inclusion. What does it mean to be included? When is the inclusion complete? What is successful
inclusion? How can one achieve the inclusion of all children? These questions are too open and cannot
be resolved without a sole and concise explanation. The term [inclusion] itself connotes a multiplicity
of meanings (Murphy, 1996, p. 471) and as there is very little literature stating what is meant by
inclusion in one concise definition, it constitutes great controversy within the matter. Therefore, the
inclusion of SEN pupils within schools across England has not always been successful. Despite there
being much interpretation to the terminology, integral aspects of the process can be neglected and may
result in segregation still existing within some schools. This issue may be resolved by

Essay On Philadelphia Eagless
On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles opened up the 2016 regular season against the
Cleveland Browns. While all the attention was on rookie quarterback Carson Wentz, who was making
his NFL debut. The Eagles wide receivers stepped up big time, leading them to a 29 10 victory.
To begin the game, the Eagles received the ball first and it was a perfect opening drive for Wentz and
the offense. On the first drive, Wentz went 4 for 5, finding tight end Zach Ertz for a ridiculous one
handed 14 yard catch on first down and ending it with a 19 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver
Jordan Matthews.
After the Eagles offense scored on the opening possession, it was time for the defense to flex their
muscles. The defense forced the Browns offense into back to back 3 and outs, giving the ball back to

After the fake punt was unsuccessful, the Eagles offense got the ball back on the Browns 35 yard line

T-Mobile Consumer Compliance Report
A couple of months ago, T Mobile came out with a promotion that you can get two extra lines at no

paid extra. It was a perfect promotion for us, my family, to get because my little brother needed a lane
and mom didn t want a line, but since it is for free she can get one. After seeing the promotion, I called
T Mobile customer service to get the lanes. I asked the representative if our bill will increase in any
way and she said yes it will increase by six dollars because I must pay the taxes for those two lanes

we had to pay extra came and we paid, but the next month we got the same amount as last month
which it should not have been that because this bill was supposed to the bill with the bill credit added.
I called customer service and they apologized for the mistake and they fixed it, which they fixed it and
we paid the reduced bill or out regular bill before the addition of the lanes. Fast forward a month later,
we received the bill and again the bill wasn t the reduced bill. I again called them and they said they
fixed it, but this time it didn t get fixed. The automatic payment took out from my dad s bank account
the larger amount instead of the reduced bill. A month later, the bill came out wrong again and that s
when I decided to write a letter to their complaint department telling them that this is very frustrating
us a lot and that it is making wish that I have never signed up for such promotion in the first place and
was to the point of canceling the account and going somewhere else. In the letter, I asked for
compensation to the extra money we paid. The letter was successful and they gave us our money back
plus a free month as a sorry for the problem. Based on the success of this letter I would write another

Sigmund Freud Jung s Suicide
The major disagreement between the two men was on sexuality or libido (human motivation)
(Psychology of the Unconscious). Freud asserted that sexuality was the motivation behind one s
actions. In Freud s Oedipal crisis, Freud notes that a body has repressed sexual desires for his mother
and jealousy towards his father during his psychosexual steps of development. As for girls, the process
is reversed; they have sexual desires toward their fathers and jealousy toward their mothers. In all,
Freud claims that a child s oppressed sexual desires will display itself as defense mechanisms and
expressions of anxiety. While that was the case for Freud, Jung thought that Freud s ideas focused too
much on sex. Indeed, Jung claimed that libido was a life

Wallace Stevens Disillusionment Of Ten O Clock
Wallace Stevens falls in the category with America s most respected poets. Stevens wrote many of
poems that got him to that prestigious category. Stevens was born in 1879 in Reading, Pennsylvania
and he took his last breath in August 1955 due to cancer. Harvard University is where he was educated
on literacy and was very successful at his time spent there. One particular poem he wrote is short
poem Disillusionment of Ten O Clock in 1915 and it was published in his first book of poetry at the
age of forty four known as, Harmonium . In the book Harmonium , Stevens published eighty five of
his best poems that a century later are still contributing to modern day poetry. While reading a poem a
reader can have plenty of different thoughts or may interpret the meaning to the poem differently than
others. That being said, it all just depends on your knowledge and the way you view things. Not every
person is the same, so not everyone is going to agree on the meanings of poems and there is nothing
wrong with that. Therefore, the truth about poems is only the writer really knows the meaning and
readers can just guess and make assumptions of what they interpret. After reading Stevens poem,
Disillusionment of Ten O Clock the beginning seems to be describing a typical dull household that is
going to sleep for the night and it puts off a haunted feel because the people are wearing white night
gowns that are bland. The second half of the poem talks about how the people in white

Classical Music Comparison
What is classical? Serious or conventional music following long established principles rather than a
folk, jazz, or popular tradition. This is the universally accepted definition of what classical music is.
But what is classical music defined as in my opinion? Well, classical music for myself falls within the
serious category, same as the first definition. A serious composition of music without vocals. Classicl
was also a time period, and that is what I will focus primarily on for the subject and question at hand,
what is classical? Classical music has had different periods which includes romantic (1804 1910), but
classical itself as a period (1750 1820) was a clear un textured form of music in comparison to the
others. One well known artist that fell under the classical period was Mozart. Mozart was and is one of

Of course this is open to discussion being opinion based, it just was it own time period. Much like any
of 21st centuries music genres they have had their own time periods. With each time periods comes
and unique styling and sound that most artist within that niche seem to follow. Until you have that one
person like Beethoven to really change things from the normal, which is so notable that a new period
is born. In the end you can choose your favorite genre and time period of that said genre, which will
often correlate with who you like. Bu none of this makes it better or worse. So in conclusion anyone
can form their own idea of the term classical music by breaking down the roots of this music, how its
played, the length etc. But with music like most terms describing music its really only ever commonly
agreed and mutually understood what any one term means when someone says it. What we may mean

Implications And Consequences Of Foster Care In America
Foster Care Many children who are placed in foster care are typical are either victims of child abuse
and neglect, parents who unfortunally can t care for them permanently or temporary, or just children
whom were abandoned. Foster care is defined as, a system in which a minor has been placed into a
ward, group home, or private home of a state certified caregiver, referred to as a foster parent . The
placement of the child is normally arranged through the government or a social service agency. Foster
Care has been around ever since the nineteenth century, but wasn t really publicized as it should have
been because American ideal vision of a family during the time was nuclear family (which consist of
mother, father, children) but over the past decade things have changed and foster care is also shaping
that view also. Social policy tends to ignore what they don t publicize. Children of immigrants were
often out on the street looking for work. They were sent on orphan trains and sent out west. Back in
the 1800s, no one talked about any sexual abuse children might have suffered on their journey out
west. Some of the slight problems in the early system were addressed, but the cause of the system still
existed. Some disadvantages of foster care is youth who enter the service have complicated, serious

Hope is stronger than despair. The short story by Douglas Coupland contains 2 major themes: hope
and despair. Although despair is mentioned a plethora of times, hope is much more overriding. Hope is
the sole reason why the narrator has never lost the sensation of always being on the brink of some
magic revelation (p.1). He then goes on saying that if only I would look closely enough at the world,
then that magic revelation would be mine. This line shows that the narrator still believes there is a

Literary Analysis Of Tenzing Norgay And Sir Edmund Everest
The rugged ascent of Mount Everest is every insane climbers dream, but nightmare at the same time.
The steep and deadly slopes of the towering Mountain are illustrated and portrayed in the minds of the
readers throughout the abstract and meaningful poem; The Summit. This poem is all about the intrepid
and enduring journey up Mount Everest, taken on by the courageous pioneers; Tenzing Norgay and Sir
Edmund Hillary in the year of 1953. The poem itself uses various different types of language features
to hook and intrigue the readers.
On they plodded, Martian weird, With pouted mask and icicle beard in these lines the poem talks
about the equipment Hillary and Tenzing used on their expedition. The author uses a metaphor to
describe how they looked like during the climb really adds effect and again can make you imagine that
all their gear and masks made them look weird like martians, the metaphor used in these lines really
helps to paint a picture of the situation in the reader s mind. It shows you what they went through and
what they had to do to reach their goal. The lines also show you that you have to be a little weird and
step out of your comfort zone to fulfill your goals and dreams. Confidence is essential for success.
Every single one of the lines in The Summit has some sort of deeper meaning behind them. For
instance, here are a couple of lines extracted from the poem; Their steps were weary, keen was the
wind, Fast vanishing their oxygen fuel, These lines present to the reader how dangerous and punishing
the journey was. The climbers were tired and worn to the soul, you can tell this from line Their steps
were weary. One of the lines; keen was the wind, This line includes personification, meaning; the
wind was keen to do what it does best; blowing and gusting. This highlights the harsh environment the
climbers had to endured through throughout the entirety of their journey. Fast vanishing their oxygen

that around this time she dropped the epithet brother loving from her titles. Cleopatra confirmed her

The idea behind the book was ingenious and had many good qualities, but there were also some cons.
Frist to address the pros. Caroline Cooney did an excellent job on staying true to the story of Macbeth,
while showing it in the eyes of different characters. The characters also in her book were very well
rounded and the connection between a character and a reader is certainly there. For example, Swin in
the beginning of the story seemed like the oppressor

Descriptive Flight
Hurry up! Get all your things ready! We leave in five minutes! exclaimed mom. It was three o clock in
the morning and we were going on our spring break vacation to sunny Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. I
remember being very excited and anxious to get on the airplane. I am very traditional and make sure
after all of the dreaded security and airport nonsense that we always go to the same bagel restaurant.
This always got the vacation started for me. After boarding the airplane and getting up into the
maximum altitude, I am always rest assured that in another two hours, we will be on the ground in
Florida 1,000 miles away from home. On the plane ride, I find it hard to keep still but I fell asleep and
before I knew it, the pilot was announcing, Flight Attendants, prepare for landing. This is where I
make sure I have all my belongings and begin to watch the what looked like dots on the ground turn
into trees, cars, and buildings. Soon after that, the final bump of the landing process that is usually felt
strongly throughout the plane wasn t present, and people clapped for such a smooth landing.
Next came my least favorite part, retrieving our bags from the baggage claim. This is always a
stressful part of traveling, but during this particular trip, it was exceptionally annoying. The conveyor
belt broke causing all of the luggage to be stopped up in the slot. This caused tremendous crowding
and aggravation for travelers in the Jacksonville International Airport.

Casey At The Bat Compare And Contrast
In the poem Casey at the Bat and story David and Goliath, a comparison of David and Casey shows
differences and similarities. The first similarity is that David and Casey were both faced with big
problems. One quote of proof from Casey at the Bat that they were both faced with big problems is,
The Outlook wasn t brilliant for the Mudville nine that day. This explains that Casey s team was not
going to win. The second quote of proof from David and Goliath that they were both faced with big
problems is, When the Israelite soldiers saw Goliath, they were scared and ran off. This explains that
David is faced with a big problem because the soldiers were frightened by Goliath, which puts his
village in danger and leaves David to fight Goliath all by himself ... Show more content on

The first difference of David and Casey is that Casey fails and David succeeds. The first quote from
David and Goliath that shows David succeeds is He put a rock in his sling and swung the sling around
by its straps. When he let go of one strap, the rock flew out and hit Goliath on the forehead. It cracked
his skull, and he fell facedown on the ground. 50 David defeated Goliath with a sling and a rock. He
killed him without even using a sword. This explains that David killed Goliath, which is a success for
David and his town. The quote from Casey at the Bat is Casey has struck out. This quote explains that
Casey has failed because he struck out. Secondly, Casey and David is Casey got overconfident and
David believed in himself. Proof that Casey got overconfident from Casey at the Bat is He lightly
doffed his hat. This explains that he was really confident and he believed to much and he was not
being very humble. Another citing of the source from David and Goliath is I ll go out and fight him
myself. This explains that David is brave but not too valiant. Finally, David is humble and Casey is

Hall, A. H., Leveritt, M. D., Ahuja, K. D., Shing, C. M. (2013). Coingestion of carbohydrate and
protein during training reduces training stress and enhances subsequent exercise performance. Applied
Physiology, Nutrition Metabolism, 38(6), 597 604.
Despite extensive research on the benefits of carbohydrate (CHO) ingestion improving endurance
performance, there are still a lot of questions in the literature about whether or not the simultaneous
ingestion of CHO and protein is advantageous compared to other methods in enhancing performance
(Hall et al., 2013). According to Hall and colleagues (2013), there have been an number of studies that
have shown potentially performance enhancing benefits of co ingestion of protein and CHO such as
enhanced glycogen synthesis post exercise, decreased muscle soreness, muscle damage, positive net
protein balance, and even modest performance benefits (Hall et al., 2013).
Purpose. Hall and colleagues (2013) looked to determine the potential impact of protein and CHO co
ingestion has compared to isoenergetic CHO beverage during exercise . Specifically, Hall and
colleagues (2013) wanted to explore the impact that consumption of such a beverage would have on
cycling performance after a four hour rest period. Also, the impact that consumption would have on
blood plasma markers of muscle damage and muscle soreness, as well as insulin and glucose levels
(Hall et al., 2013).

Load Optimum Mpls Routing With Routers And Links
Load Optimum MPLS Routing with Routers and Links (N+M)
ABSTRACT:
MPLS is now a days the most important thing in the intra domain routing (i.e. routing in own domain
or network). The main advantage of MPLS is the flexibility it offers towards traffic engineering ex. To
support higher demand without overloading any links. Most of the major vendors are now offering
MPLS routers and many ISPs are deploying MPLS in their IP backbone as well as in ATMs and frame
relays. Because of this increase in transition to MPLS we are required to increase our knowledge
towards the importance and limitations of MPLS.
Mitra and Ramakrishna from GLOBECOM 99 has showed optimum routing solutions can be found to

It can provide applications like Traffic Engineering, Quality of Service and Virtual Private Networks.
The packets in MPLS are directed through the network based on an assigned label. The label is
associated through the network with an assigned path which allows a higher level of control on the
packets than in packet switched networks. MPLS routing allow differing QoS characteristics and
priorities to be assigned to particular data flows. Traffic Engineering explains the optimization of
fundamental abilities of the network [2]. Traffic Engineering is the process of controlling how traffic
flows through ones network so as to optimize resource utilization and network performance [3]. It is
performed by detouring the traffic to paths that are lightly loaded in order to balance the load amongst
the paths as per the various calculated metrics. These can be divided as two types. They are state
dependent and time dependent. Both of them are focused to balance the traffic so that they can avoid
the congestion. State dependent policies change the traffic in short time scale depending on different
metrics calculated both online and offline of the present traffic and the time dependent policies
engineer it based on long time scaling. Both these methods aim to balance the traffic so as to avoid the
congestion.
The problem that we face while using previous MPLS routing solutions is that

Project Blue Book in 1952 marked the first governmental effort to investigate the existence of UFOs.
Hysteria among the public concerning UFO sightings prompted the creation of the project by the

government, as the timing of the sightings coincided with the societal panic induced by the Red Scare.
Air Force investigators quickly grew irritated of pursuing nonsensical UFO civilian reports for a 15

it may be worthwhile to look into holding off on samples arriving later in the day as to have

Forgive In The Sunflower
Forgive, not because they deserve forgives, but because you deserve peace. It s not easy to stop
blaming someone s fault, especially for someone who do wrong to us. In the book The Sunflower
written by Simon Wiesenthal, a survivor of the Holocaust during World War II, he described his
conflict with Karl, a dying Nazi soldier who killed many innocent Jews and begging for forgiveness
for his outrageous crime at the end of his life. At the end of this sad and tragic episode, Simon did not
response to Karl s request directly; instead he left us a tough question: What should you have done?
Based on what Karl had done during World War II and his repentance, each person might have their
own point of view about where should we draw the line of forgiveness. But, in my opinion, while it

he deserved forgiveness because the scientific experiment explains that Karl s behaviors were led by

Tree Of 40 Trees
John Ramdath
The Tree of 40 Fruits
In 2008 Van Aken acquired the New York Agricultural Experiment Station orchard. Aken then began
to graft buds from the over 250 heritage varieties grown there on to stock trees. This stock tree then
tree accumulated branches from forty different donor trees, each with a different fruit, including
almond, apricot, cherry, nectarine, peach and plum varieties.
This is possible because of proper grafting techniques and the trees biology. Grafting a tree is a
farming technique in which a piece of the donor tree s stem, with buds, is inserted into the stock of a
tree. This is done because seeds from fruit trees cannot be reproduced true to the original cultivar from

In the callus differentiation gives rise to the two major types of plant vascular tissue xylem and
phloem. Xylem is responsible for keeping the plant hydrated and can normally be fond towards the
center of the plant. All Xylem cells are dead, elongated and hollow. The two types of Xylem cells are
tracheids and vessel elements. Tracheids are found in most gymnosperms, ferns and lycophytes.
Tracheids cells are long, thin, and are connected together by tapered ends. The tapered ends run
alongside each other and have pits. These pits are holes in the cell wall that allow for water to travel
from cell to cell. The other type of Xylem is vessel elements which form the xylem of almost all
angiosperms. Vessel elements are shorter and wider than tracheids. Also the vessel elements are
connected end to end and the ends contain what are known as perforation plates. Perforation plates
have a number of holes in their cell walls which allows for water to travel freely between cells.
Phloem is composed of living cells and transports important sugars, organic compounds, nutrients and
macromolecules. The nutritious sap within the phloem travels by diffusion between cells. Phloem is
made from cells called sieve tube members and companion cells which are normally located on the
outer layers of the plant. Sieve tube members are cells that create chains of cells running the length of
the plant.

Role Of Supernatural Elements In Macbeth
In the play entitled Macbeth by William Shakespeare, the supernatural is the most important element
in the play which leads to Macbeth s desire for the throne. Throughout the play, supernatural appeals
to the audience in various forms which is represented by the witches, the prophecies, the floating
dagger, and ghost. The existence of these supernatural elements in Macbeth foreshadows the evil
ambitions and actions possess by Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Besides that, these supernatural
elements also are the key elements to the manipulative play as it evoke the emotions among the
audience to perceive the horror, mystery, evil and death throughout the play. The introduction of the
three witches with their prophecies in Act 1 Scene 3, about Macbeth after he won the war against the
Norwegians, at the beginning of the play has naturally motivated Macbeth s actions to make the
prophecies into reality.
The witches are not human or half ways normal when Banquo quotes to Macbeth that the creatures are

A Brief Note On The Illinois Road Worker

state of Illinois maintains approximately 4,000 miles of public roadways making our state s road
among the greatest challenges to our states budget whether it be through maintenance, expansion, or
pioneering new paths each factor has a common denominator. That common denominator is the
Illinois road worker. Although in the past the demands of our states road workers have come as
demanding and in turn challenging to our state s motorists, it has become second nature to thoroughly
asses our road workers needs in the name of safety. This policy memo serves as an informative tool in
the discussion currently pending between our states legislature and the Federal Highway
Administration along with roadways worker representative councils to include the National Safety

Representative Democracy In Australia
Australia is a Representative Democracy, which is an electoral system where the public gets to choose
who represents them in both houses of parliament, the House of Representatives and the Senate. The
people elect the candidates to which they would like to see who puts forward their interests and

Argumentative Essay On Vladimir Putin
In recent times, no one can take total power by force alone; you must offer something favorable to the
people in order to obtain support. Unfortunately, there are some countries that follow a dictatorship
system, which is a form of government that includes social and political power to ensure that the
individual s capability remains strong. Vladimir Putin is a contemporary dictator of Russia. His
rebelliousness as a child has led him to his leadership. His cold heartedness to his rivals and invasion
towards countries has led to an opposition towards him. Vladimir Putin s experience as a street thug
led him to his leadership, which easily rose him to power: Not only has he committed crimes against
humanity, but he has made groups of people and countries oppose him.
First of all, Putin had a very unique background. Masha Gessen, Russian and American journalist,

men of higher nobility began to write statements on a culture of people they have never witness except

Essay about The War of 1812
The War of 1812
On June 18, 1812, the United States declared war on Great Britain. The peace treaty to end the war
was signed in Europe, 1814. The war lasted from 1812 to the spring of 1815 because there was a delay
in communications. It was fought along the Canadian border, along with several sea battles. By the
time the war was over the United States lost 2,260 soldiers, and the British 1,600 soldiers. The war of
1812 was a very significant event that took place in the U.S. It did in fact confirm America s
independence. That is why it is often referred to as the second war of independence or the second
revolutionary war.

The British maritime policy was influenced by it s jealousy of America s commercial growth. Even
though both France and Britain violated the United States neutral rights on the seas, the United States
resented Britain maritime policies more because they dominated the seas. The U.S. tried to peacefully
change the policies of the European powers. There would not be a British maritime policy if it had not
been for the war with France. The policy was intended to destroy Frances economy.
During the Napoleonic Wars the Royal Navy expanded to 175 ships of the line and 600 ships overall,
requiring 140,000 sailors. The Royal Navy turned to impressments when it didn t have enough able
bodies to man the ships. The Royal Navy went after Royal Navy Veterans or deserters who had left
and became sailors in the United States merchant navy by intercepting and searching U.S merchant
ships. Britain also considered any U.S. citizen born in British liable for impressments. The inability to
distinguish Americans from non Americans due to a wide spread of use of false identity led to frequent
impressments of Americans that had never been British. This became a major grievance.
The United States attempted to change the European policies by the Embargo Act of 1807, after the
Chesapeake affair of 1807. The Embargo Act banned all American ships from foreign trade.

The Human Heart
The human heart is slightly bigger than the size of ones fist. It is situated at a very safe place which is
between the cage bones, i.e., in the center of the chest. Usually it is slightly on the left side of the chest
but in rare cases, it can be found on the right side. Heart is responsible for the blood flow to every
single part of the body by constant contraction and relaxation of cardiac muscles. This is the reason
why we hear rhythmic beats all the time. Heart pumps the pure blood to the different parts of the body
and then takes the deoxygenated blood from all the parts to the lungs for oxygenation. Normally in a

This maintains a proper one directional blood flow through out the process. Bicuspid valve is present
between the left atrium and left ventricle whereas tricuspid valve is present between the right atrium
and right ventricle. Pulmonary valve behaves as a gate which stops the back flow of blood from right
ventricle to the pulmonary artery which takes the deoxygenated blood to the lungs for purification.
Lastly the aortic valve, this valve plays an important role in stopping the back flow of the blood from
left ventricle to the aorta. Once the blood is transferred to the aorta it supplies the oxygenated blood to
different parts of the body.
Blood Vessels
Blood vessels are the blood carriers in a human body. These play a very vital role in the supply of
blood to various parts of the body. Blood vessels can be of two types, veins and arteries. All the veins

influenced by the real nature and landscape she encounters.Three pieces of her fabric work: River 2,
River 3 and Sierra Water reflect her style as modern and elaborated, making her unique from other
artists. Each individual collages she made has been carefully arranged, layered, pinned and sewn

One would think why Kaiser would have chosen this particular work that shows no imagery relating
to health. It is understandable if one observe this piece carefully and closely, River 2 similar to Sierra
River and River 3 focus on the theme of nature, Earth and water. However, in this piece, it shows
more than just life, feminine fertility, and infertility. One could see that there is only a little water
movement caused by ripples which allow one to capture the meaning of this River such as steadiness
and calmness. The stones have an appearance of flatness and smooth detail similar to limestone and
iceberg because of its shape and pigment of white like snow, what also make it similar to iceberg is the
stones appears as if it is floating on the water. With no dark contour to given to the stone, there is no
roundness giving these rocks a wide appearance. However, the river is lightened by the sunlight
revealing the beauty within the water such as the tainted green in the water which reminds one about
nature. Kaiser hospital has chosen this work of Axelrad because it reveals not only calm and hope but
it reveals peace, comfort and hope (Scott Kemmis) such as the whiteness and pure fabric color for the
stones in the work. The river represents calm and peace where the doctor would give to their patient
and the stones give strength and comfort toward their patience. This meaning also related to mother
love such as comfort for their young who also give similar need just like a doctor giving to

The Victorian Er The Victorian Period During The Victorian...
One of the darker and more mysterious periods in history is the Victorian Era. The nineteenth century
was a major point in literary history, with stories mostly related to supernatural beings, poetry, and
fantastic literature. There were also multiple different religions, such as Christianity and Judaism. The
people in England were very religious and went to church every sunday. Despite their social class,
women were always home and doing their housework, while men were out working to earn money for
the family. The clothing style was very formal and posh; the rich having finer cloths. The Victorian
Era was an interesting time period because of its politics, literature, society and culture.
The political history of the Victorian Era was based on Queen Victoria and her views and outlooks on
everything. Queen Victoria was the reigning queen during the nineteenth century, with her husband
and several children. This showed femininity, which centered around family and homely feels. She
was described as the mother of the nation. She became the model of marital stability, with her husband
Albert. Their marriage was said to represent marital harmony. Literature was somewhat related to the
political history of the family feel.
Literature during the Victorian Era had a variety of writing types. People in the Victorian Era read
and/or wrote things; such as novels, children s literature, poetry, drama, and supernatural and fantastic
literature. The

Racial Zoning
Inequality and mistreatment is prevalent in the world today. However, today the world is much closer
to solving its issues as opposed to 100 years ago. Planners are a significant part of that fight, standing
up for what they believe is right and implementing the proper plans and action needed to begin to
solve that issue. While social justice may not be at its peak today, times used to be worse. Formerly,
while trying to improve cities with zoning certain races, religions, and peoples were excluded from the
nice parts of town and even jobs. Zoning began around 1900 when the local government restricted the
height of buildings in Washington District of Columbia. From there, the government realized it could
intervene on private property and the people would allow it (Silver, 1997). As zoning evolved, so did
the type of zoning from height restrictions to land use and eventually to redlining. Silver explains the
extent situation as, the nation s planning movement, not just its Southern branch, regarded land use
controls as an effective social control mechanism for Blacks and other undesirables (p. 2).
Unfortunately for the US and for its citizens, racial zoning is not the only undesirable social norm.
Well known in cities at the time were the City Beautiful movement and the city practical, however,
social issues were merely pushed to the side. Wirka (1996) explains that both are undoubtedly
important movements in the history of planning (p. 57), however, she goes on

The consumer protection laws are of great advantage to customers as they enable fair treatment and
good value to customers.
Competition Laws
The Office of Fair Trading monitors and ensures that all businesses are at even level with consumers.
The law protects a business from being demoted by its competitors.
For example, when Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd advertises a beverage the company is not to say,
PepsiCo is a waste of money but is allowed to say, Coca Cola reaches the top. This legislation would
limit the market planning of the company.
Competition laws will also be an advantage to customers as they would prevent misleading claims
from businesses.
Below is a description of how a legal factor may affect the activities of Croydon Health Services
NHS:
Health and Safety Law
The law obligates Croydon Health Services NHS to ensure that employees, patients, and so forth are
to be provided a safe environment at all times.
Being in the health sector makes the law very important for the running of the organisation. Hospitals
are the centre of epidemics and diseases which makes this law very important in the operation of the
organisation. Therefore, the organisation has installed equipment that maintains the hygiene of its
hospitals.
The law also obliges the organisation to provide health and safety information and equipment to staff
and patients.
An example could be; when the organisation does advanced X

Taiga Biome Research Paper
Another primary terrestrial ecosystem is the taiga. The taiga biome is the most enormous biome in the
world as it is situated only in the Northern Hemisphere, therefore stretching over vast parts of North
America, Asia, and Europe. Climate in the taiga is very cold and it is made up of a wide variety of
interesting surfaces. Kindred to a tundra, the taiga biome s surface engenders a perpetually and
permanent frozen ground called a permafrost during profoundly low temperatures. Though, on the
contrary, normal temperatures causes the taiga s surface to be more liquid than solid. This is due to the
cause of bogs and an extensive soft carpet of moss on the forest floor. Rich affluent soil in the taiga

Risk Factors For Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
The search for specific maternal risk factors for fetal alcohol syndrome has been researched for more
than two decades. The most obvious risk factor for FAS is alcohol. The more alcohol that a mother
drinks during pregnancy, the greater the chance of the baby having the abnormalities and symptoms of
FAS when born. The baby may be born with abnormalities such as microcephaly, craniofacial defects,
and behavioral problems. The abnormalities that the baby is born with is dependent on the amount of
alcohol that the mother drinks while pregnant (May et al). Researchers have not yet found a way to
prevent FAS or found a safe amount of alcohol that a pregnant woman can drink. Experts do know
that fetal alcohol syndrome is completely preventable if the woman does not drink alcohol throughout
the pregnancy. Some ways to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though doctors know that FAS can be prevented by not drinking alcohol, they do not yet know
way to control or treat the disease as you would be able to with other diseases (i.e. vaccinations).
However, there are many preventative measures that can be taken to ensure that a mother who has had
one child with FAS does not have another child with FAS. Once a confirmed case of FAS has been
found, intensive measures need to be taken to reduce the impairment and disability that might progress
with more pregnancies. FAS studies consistently report that women who have had one FAS child, and
who continue to drink, have continued to have more

The Writings of Edgar Allan Poe
Edgar Allan Poe
The amazing, the people who inspire, who make people feel something with words on paper, authors.
Authors have a special ability to create a separate world, but a great author lets us into their world and
makes us feel something when we read their work. From all of the research Colton Coverston has
done, he has come to the conclusion that Edgar Allan Poe should be in the top fifth American Authors
on a top twenty greatest American author list. Edgar Allan Poe has written many pieces of writing,
until he was fifteen. He was born to write. Edgar Allan Poe is a great author, because he wrote about
profound things, and people are continually reading and enjoying them. Edgar Allan Poe was born on
January 19th, 1809. He died when he was only forty years old on December 7th, 1849 from suicide.
Nobody knows why he killed himself, but many people believe that his life influenced his scary
stories. Edgar Allan Poe s most famous writing was The Raven. He started writing when he was
fifteen years old, and his first writing was a poem. The poem was called Last Night, With Many Cares
and Toils. His very last writing, and most famous was The Raven. Most of Edgar Allan Poe s writings

were highly opaque. In the phase of Nationalization Social control, there was there was total neglect
of rural agricultural sector. Due to the dominant role of government in economic activity, Indian
Financial system catered only to the needs of planned development in a mixed economy framework.
Financial markets were segmented underdeveloped with lack of instruments. There was existence of
complex structure of interest rates arising from social economic concerns. The regulation of lending
rates, led to regulation of deposit rates to keep cost of funds to banks at reasonable levels, so that the
spread between cost of funds and return on funds is maintained. The lack of recognition of the
importance of transparency, accountability and prudential norms in the operations of the banking
system led also to a rising burden of non performing assets. These lacunae in the policies system made
India lag behind in growth with its counterparts. For a long period of around 40 years, India s growth
rate remained average less than 4 percent per annum, while other less developing countries achieved a
growth rate of over 5 percent per annum. Moreover, countries like Japan East Asian countries were
able to catch up with the industrialized countries of the west by adopting a market oriented pattern of
industrialization .The Indian government had started then in 1980 s the

Humans have been innovators, from the first shapers of stone and wood into crude implements, to the inventors of electronic gadgets that entertain us and help us manage our lives from our shirt pockets. Today innovation is based not only on the challenges, problems, and needs but also on the social, political, and cultural conditions prevailing in the prospective market. People fear the unknown ó especially when they believe that it could adversely affect their health or established social systems. The triangle of technology, innovation, and society is one of the central spheres of modern activities. Successful innovation frequently is not only the result of scientific technical progress. Non technical aspects, such as political and economic framework conditions, acceptance by the population, or ethical questions also play an important role in the decision whether and which technologies contribute to the solution of societal problems. Background Theory: By the 1980 s, the use of technology began to escalate. A 1982 study by The New York Times stated, The study was made by the Institute for the Future, a Menlo Park, Calif., and agency under contract to the National Science Foundation. • 3. Ethical And Legal Boundaries Of Wells Fargo Wells Fargo is an American bank that was created in 1852 by Henry Wells and James Fargo. It is the second largest bank in the USA in terms of market cap, operates in over 42 countries around the world, and has over 260,000 employees. In 2016, federal regulators caught Wells Fargo, creating millions of fake bank and credit card accounts; over 1.5 million bank accounts were created. Furthermore, federal regulators also said that 565,443 credit cards were created, and 1400 of those accounts had been charged over 400,000 dollars in fees. Wells Fargo employees broke many ethical and legal boundaries and engaged in counterproductive work behavior. Counterproductive work behavior has a negative impact on the company, it s employees and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This practice was so common that Wells Fargo employees had several methods for doing this. The first method is sand bagging. Sand Bagging involves failing to open accounts by customers at their requested date, instead accumulating accounts to open in the next sales period to inflate profits. Another practice was called Pinning which was creating pin numbers without customer s authorization, and attaching them to credit cards. Then employees would impersonate customers on Wells Fargo s computers and use these pin numbers to create online banking and bills for customers. Finally, a practice called bundling was done where Wells Fargo employees would mislead customers saying that certain banking products were only available in bundles which forced customers to add more products than they wanted. So, one wonders, how could this have happened? Why did high expectations of sales lead to unethical, almost criminal behaviour? This is tied to Goal Setting theory. Goal setting theory, created by Edwin Locke, states that employees are motivated by clear goals, and appropriate feedback. Individuals that were given clear, specific and difficult goals had greater performance than individuals given general and easy goals. However, research has shown that setting unattainable and challenging goals can lead to risky or even unethical behaviour. A study done by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay about America Needs a Larger Gas Tax America Needs a Larger Gas Tax Don t you hate driving up to the gas station to fill up your car with gasoline only to see that the price has risen again. You stand there stunned for a moment. Just long enough for the rage to build up and compell you to go into a frenzy of screaming obsceneties. Yes, it is a scene that happens all across the country, but, I think I can offer some words of advice: Get used to it. You may hate the gas prices now but if I had my way I would raise it a whole dollar more than what it is now. Now before you gouge my eyes out let me explain. Gas prices should go up a dollar for three reasons. First, we need to build a high speed rail system in America. We are long overdue for one and as our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We would keep it tightly regulated and only the upmost security would be kept. A high speed rail system would be a good idea for many reasons. Primarily, it would cut down on the amount of people who drive or fly. In 1997 the government issued a report about how high speed trains would help solve congestion problems that face our nation s highways and airports (www.fra.dot.gov/o/hsgt/index.html). Also, most high speed trains require less fuel than your average airplane or automobile. Money left over form the tax, or if we choose to continue the tax just for this purpose, would be used to help fund research on alternative fuels. They have already made a great many advances with alternative fuels and hybrid cars. Honda has already made a that can travel up to 700 miles on one tank of gas. And it can get up to 70 mpg on the highway (www.consumerenergycenter.org/transportation/afv/hybrid.html). This kind of progress has all been done within the last decade. Imagine with a little extra funding the progress that could be made. Imagine, driving down the road, getting about 100 to 150 mpg. You would no longer have to even worry about gas prices because you would only have to fill up about once a month, which leads me to the next reason why raising gas prices would be a good idea. If we raise gas prices now it ll mean a lot lower prices later on. Simple math will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Inclusion Of Special Educational Needs The inclusion of special educational needs (SEN) students into mainstream schools is a key issue across England. The Education for All Handicapped Children Act (Public Law 94 142) states that all handicapped children [have] the right to a free appropriate public education. However, there has been much debate concerning which approaches have a more active influence on the efficacy of inclusion. This essay will aim to investigate how practical and successful inclusion techniques are within a community whilst underlying both the advantages and disadvantages that inclusion may generate. The terminology associated with this discussion is one of the main factors contributing to ineffective inclusion. What does it mean to be included? When is the inclusion complete? What is successful inclusion? How can one achieve the inclusion of all children? These questions are too open and cannot be resolved without a sole and concise explanation. The term [inclusion] itself connotes a multiplicity of meanings (Murphy, 1996, p. 471) and as there is very little literature stating what is meant by inclusion in one concise definition, it constitutes great controversy within the matter. Therefore, the inclusion of SEN pupils within schools across England has not always been successful. Despite there being much interpretation to the terminology, integral aspects of the process can be neglected and may result in segregation still existing within some schools. This issue may be resolved by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Freud asserted that sexuality was the motivation behind one s actions. In Freud s Oedipal crisis, Freud notes that a body has repressed sexual desires for his mother and jealousy towards his father during his psychosexual steps of development. As for girls, the process is reversed; they have sexual desires toward their fathers and jealousy toward their mothers. • 9. Wallace Stevens Disillusionment Of Ten O Clock Wallace Stevens falls in the category with America s most respected poets. Stevens wrote many of poems that got him to that prestigious category. Stevens was born in 1879 in Reading, Pennsylvania and he took his last breath in August 1955 due to cancer. Harvard University is where he was educated on literacy and was very successful at his time spent there. One particular poem he wrote is short poem Disillusionment of Ten O Clock in 1915 and it was published in his first book of poetry at the age of forty four known as, Harmonium . In the book Harmonium , Stevens published eighty five of his best poems that a century later are still contributing to modern day poetry. While reading a poem a reader can have plenty of different thoughts or may interpret the meaning to the poem differently than others. That being said, it all just depends on your knowledge and the way you view things. Not every person is the same, so not everyone is going to agree on the meanings of poems and there is nothing wrong with that. Therefore, the truth about poems is only the writer really knows the meaning and readers can just guess and make assumptions of what they interpret. After reading Stevens poem, Disillusionment of Ten O Clock the beginning seems to be describing a typical dull household that is going to sleep for the night and it puts off a haunted feel because the people are wearing white night gowns that are bland. This is the universally accepted definition of what classical music is. But what is classical music defined as in my opinion? Well, classical music for myself falls within the serious category, same as the first definition. A serious composition of music without vocals. Classicl was also a time period, and that is what I will focus primarily on for the subject and question at hand, what is classical? Classical music has had different periods which includes romantic (1804 1910), but classical itself as a period (1750 1820) was a clear un textured form of music in comparison to the others. Implications And Consequences Of Foster Care In America Foster Care Many children who are placed in foster care are typical are either victims of child abuse and neglect, parents who unfortunally can t care for them permanently or temporary, or just children whom were abandoned. Foster care is defined as, a system in which a minor has been placed into a ward, group home, or private home of a state certified caregiver, referred to as a foster parent . The placement of the child is normally arranged through the government or a social service agency. Foster Care has been around ever since the nineteenth century, but wasn t really publicized as it should have been because American ideal vision of a family during the time was nuclear family (which consist of mother, father, children) but over the past decade things have changed and foster care is also shaping that view also. Social policy tends to ignore what they don t publicize. Children of immigrants were often out on the street looking for work. They were sent on orphan trains and sent out west. Back in the 1800s, no one talked about any sexual abuse children might have suffered on their journey out west. MPLS routing allow differing QoS characteristics and priorities to be assigned to particular data flows. Traffic Engineering explains the optimization of fundamental abilities of the network [2]. Traffic Engineering is the process of controlling how traffic flows through ones network so as to optimize resource utilization and network performance [3]. It is performed by detouring the traffic to paths that are lightly loaded in order to balance the load amongst the paths as per the various calculated metrics. These can be divided as two types. They are state dependent and time dependent. Both of them are focused to balance the traffic so that they can avoid the congestion. State dependent policies change the traffic in short time scale depending on different metrics calculated both online and offline of the present traffic and the time dependent policies engineer it based on long time scaling. Both these methods aim to balance the traffic so as to avoid the congestion. The problem that we face while using previous MPLS routing solutions is that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Vladimir Putin s experience as a street thug led him to his leadership, which easily rose him to power: Not only has he committed crimes against humanity, but he has made groups of people and countries oppose him. First of all, Putin had a very unique background. Masha Gessen, Russian and American journalist, author, translator and activist who has been an outspoken critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, claims that ¨Putinś leadership resulted from his experience as a street thug¨ (Gessen 1). Putin was not interested in school or the idea of success. When he was growing up, he always found himself in fistfights. He would fight anyone who disrespected him in any way shape or form, such as scratching them, biting them, and even ripping their hair off. Putin began looking for a place where he could learn skills to complete his will to fight. He found Sambo, which is a Soviet martial art. Sambo had changed his life from a ... Even though both France and Britain violated the United States neutral rights on the seas, the United States resented Britain maritime policies more because they dominated the seas. The U.S. tried to peacefully change the policies of the European powers. There would not be a British maritime policy if it had not been for the war with France. The policy was intended to destroy Frances economy. During the Napoleonic Wars the Royal Navy expanded to 175 ships of the line and 600 ships overall, requiring 140,000 sailors. The Royal Navy turned to impressments when it didn t have enough able bodies to man the ships. The Royal Navy went after Royal Navy Veterans or deserters who had left and became sailors in the United States merchant navy by intercepting and searching U.S merchant ships. Britain also considered any U.S. citizen born in British liable for impressments. The inability to distinguish Americans from non Americans due to a wide spread of use of false identity led to frequent impressments of Americans that had never been British. This became a major grievance. The United States attempted to change the European policies by the Embargo Act of 1807, after the Chesapeake affair of 1807. One could see that there is only a little water movement caused by ripples which allow one to capture the meaning of this River such as steadiness and calmness. Planners are a significant part of that fight, standing up for what they believe is right and implementing the proper plans and action needed to begin to solve that issue. While social justice may not be at its peak today, times used to be worse. Formerly, while trying to improve cities with zoning certain races, religions, and peoples were excluded from the nice parts of town and even jobs. Zoning began around 1900 when the local government restricted the height of buildings in Washington District of Columbia. From there, the government realized it could intervene on private property and the people would allow it (Silver, 1997). As zoning evolved, so did the type of zoning from height restrictions to land use and eventually to redlining. Silver explains the extent situation as, the nation s planning movement, not just its Southern branch, regarded land use controls as an effective social control mechanism for Blacks and other undesirables (p. 2).
