Kids when they are younger are now exposed to cell phones and technology at a young age to
keep them interested or busy, which is beneficial for the moment, but not in the long run. For
example, I nanny a three year old boy who has year old twins in his life. Taking care of the twins
and satisfying him at the same time was hard work so they introduced the cell phone to the little
boy. This did the job by keeping him entertained, but a couple months later, he is constantly
consumed by the phone. He watches it while eating dinner, going to the bathroom, taking a bath,
and while getting dressed. When family members talk to him, he does not respond, and they then
continue to ask until around the fifth time when he answers. They have started to realize the
problem and they are trying to end the cell phone use until he is older. It is very hard, but it has
become a problem that they need to fix. My solution to this, and to any other kids who are
consumed by phones is to first of all, not introduce the devices to them until a good time when

It was March 27, 2016; my family and I were all leaving to go to Las Vegas for Spring break. We
finally left at 9:30 am and are plane was leaving around 11:45. We were in the car for about 2 hours

Since slaves were not allowed schooling, illiteracy was very common for African Americans
slaves. For many people not accustomed to slavery, it was believed that slavery was simply a
state of natural being. People believed African Americans were inherently incapable of residing
in their society and consequently should live as laborers for white slave owners. Enforcing
illiteracy among children deprived them of their necessary morality and ethics. Southern slave
owners used this to their advantage control how the remainder of the country viewed slavery. If

Sharer. The theme supported is, the ability that a person has, to change their beliefs due to the
inexperience as a leader, self doubt. In the beginning the Captain is an ethical individual, yet his
interaction with the murderer, along with Leggatt, reveals him as someone who is insecure,
allowing the captain to make many illogical decisions, and in the end put his crew in harms way,
showing that he is unfit to remain captain of the ship. The Captain is introduced into the novella
as a young seaman, who was chosen to be the captain of a sailing vessel on its voyage back
home. The young captain displays himself as an experienced sailor yet is filled with much self
doubt as he is the second youngest man on the ship, and has little leadership experience,

It would probably surprise most people to learn that broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, and

Identity in Native America is directly associated with culture and language. As a result, some of the
issues today which are important in shaping the identity of modern Native Americans include:
representations of native people by the media in sports and popular culture; how indigenous
languages are being revitalized and maintained; and identity reclamation. The Native American
lifestyle has changed significantly during the last half of the 20th century and that is because views
on the Native people have drastically changed over time. They have had many hardships that have
greatly impacted their culture over the past few centuries leading up to today. During the first half
of the 20th century numerous changes went on in the native community. Life on the reservations
was bleak and economic opportunities were almost non existence. Many natives remained on the
reservations where they were able to maintain their language and culture (Otten, Dutton). However,
some others left the reservations for economic opportunities that the growing U.S economy
promised and offered. Native Americans who didn t live on the reservations chose to make as little
reference as possible to their indigenous roots, much like other ethnic groups that migrated into the
U.S. That is because though most Native Americans knew that the dominant culture would enjoy

The religions of the Ojibwa are very comparable to the Kanina, as far as their belief in the
supernatural. To them, even objects have a purpose. Spirits might visit them in human form or
