The Most Important Character In La Boheme
The most important character in La Boheme is the writer Rodolfo who experiences passionate feelings
for his seamstress neighbor, Mimi. Rodolfo offers a garret apartment with three other men: Marcello,
painter; Colline, a logician; and Schaunard, an artist. Marcello likewise is included in a turbulent issue
with his female sweetheart, Musetta. The fundamental characters in Rent, as in La Boheme, are
youthful and ruined in light of the fact that in genuine Bohemian mold, they decide to devote
themselves to their artistic expressions. Larson adds to rent extra characters speaking to the modern
day works of art of film and move. Roger is lyricist/guitarist; Mark, an eventual film producer; Mimi,
an artist in a sex appear and a medication fanatic who turns into Roger s sweetheart; Benny, a former
flat mate of Mark and Roger who wedded the proprietor s little girl; Maureen, an actress who is Mark
s previous sweetheart; Joanne, a legal counselor who is presently ... Show more content on

Race And Ethnic Stratification Research Paper
Essay 2: Race and Ethnic Stratification Research Paper
In 1957, Malaysia became an independent country and in 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed
the Civil Rights Act. Within seven years, the two countries underwent critical transformations from a
history of systematic oppression to new freedoms. Both the United States and Malaysia are comprised
of multiple ethnicities, races, and dynamics that define their social and economic relationships.
Because of the timing of social and economic change, residual effects of oppression influence the
ability of both countries to lessen racial and ethnic inequalities. However, similarities between racial
and ethnic dynamics in the two countries end there. After independence, Malaysian society was able to
progress in a way that significantly reduced socioeconomic stratification, while in the U.S., the
progress was less notable. Much of this discrepancy is due to the differences between ethnicity and
race: in Malaysia, ethnic differences are complex and subtle, making them easier to ignore or forget;
in the U.S., racial distinctions are often as clear and rigid as the difference between black and white,
making significant and lasting progress more difficult to achieve.
A number of reasons for this contrast between Malaysia and the U.S. will be discussed. For one thing,
the conditions succeeding from the U.S. racial climate did not favor African Americans in terms of
employment and status, whereas in Malaysia, independence had a

Mass Escape
Get Up you no good Jews. I sprung up out of thee 2 inch thick mattress. I checked who the guard was
this morning and it was guard 1543 the same one as yesterday. I climbed out of my bunk bed I slept on
the top because I was a kid. At 14 I thought that I should be considered as an adult, but not in this
concentration camp. I walked around a little bit to lose up my stiff weak muscles, even though it didn t
do much it still felt good.I woke up the others in my cell that weren t awake which was everyone
except for me and my mom. Her and I were very light sleepers, we would wake up when the first drop
of a rainstorm fell, or a little mice would make a wrong turn in the cell and bump into the metal pole
of the bed ever so slightly. I woke everyone up in my cell in the same order every day going from the
person that took the longest to wake up to the person who would get up fairly quickly. Everyone was
up and the adults were making small talk and the kids were playing a game we called Ala. The gates
opened for breakfast and we all knew it was time for the escape. ` The day before: Już czas, Albin my
mom said. It means, it is time.

Quality Management System
Introduction
Quality is a word which has been used for a very long time, lots of books have been written about it,
and many of the world scientists have defined it in many different ways. In this research paper, I will
emphasis on the Quality Management System, why is it important? What is it used for? What is the
importance of having a Quality Management System? Many people think implementing QMS costs a
lot and all the benefit is a piece of a paper which say that your company is certified in having QMS so
you can only hang this picture or certificate on the wall and tell your smart customer that you have it.
In fact, no blames on them, they have not used this system yet, they do not know that this system save
a lot and a lot of money ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The standard is ISO 9001:2000 which is concerned about the QMS. The company needs to understand
the requirement and be familiar with it.
Assign a team and agree your strategy The company should begin the entire implementation process
by preparing organizational strategy with top management. Responsibility for a QMS lies with Senior
Management; therefore it is vital that Senior Management is involved from the beginning of the
process.
Consider Training If the company seeking to implement a Quality Management System, there are a
range of workshops, seminars and training courses should be taken by employees concerned with the
implementation. These courses qualify the employees to be internal auditor of the system and external
auditors for sub contactors or suppliers.
Review Consultancy Options The company can receive advice from independent consultants on how
to implement the quality management system. They have the experience in implementing a QMS and
can ensure to avoid costly mistakes.
Choose a registrar The registrar is the 3rd party, who come and assess the effectiveness of the quality
management system, and issue a certificate if it meet the requirements of

Public Law Framers
Public law is the relationship between the government and its constituents. The Court has been a key
player in ensuring the majority rule, the Framers envisioned. The Court is not only an officer over
governmental actions, but ensures fundamental freedoms. The Court is the mediator to issues between
the people and the government. The Supreme Court asserts judicial responsibility in addressing the
concerns of the people in times of crisis. Judicial intervention is necessary and thus has become a
powerful branch with vast influence over the executive and legislative. The Framers understood that
the Constitution could not answer all questions or resolve all the problems that would arise throughout
history. They trusted that the future generations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

speech, press, religion and petition (Epstein Walker 2015, 775). Amendment II, defined the right to
keep and bear arms. Amendment III defined the conditions for quarter of soldiers. Amendment IV,
regulated the right of search and seizure. Amendment V stated provisions concerning prosecution.
Amendment VI, defined the right to a speedy and fair trial. Amendment VII was the right to a trial by

Health And Safety At The Workplace
Health and Safety in the Workplace The health and safety in the workplace for workers has created a
continual concern in the United States since the country was discovered. Although, a healthy and safe
work environment can be described as a work area free of health risks and absent unsafe conditions.
Indeed, the definition encompasses additional legal, moral, ethical issues. Particularly, reporting safety
issues rather than choosing to ignore them, refusing to fall under peer pressure or fear of retaliation,
not accepting bribes and making the conscious decision to report violators of the rules. Initially,
certain accidents and injuries within industries were accepted and considered a consequence of the
job, eventually workers became less accepting of inadequate working conditions began demanding
safer work environments. Therefore, numerous labor unions and organizations formed throughout the
history of the United States intended to resolve and mediate issues between employees and employers,
including the health and safety of the workers in the workplace. Nevertheless, in an effort to avoid
confusion on the accountability of employee health and safety in the workplace the author of this
paper has examined the separate entities of OSHA, employers and employees. Although, a minute
majority of workers believe that OSHA exclusively is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of
workers in the workplace; the alternative belief is that it is the individual responsibility of

Technical specifications matter. They can also be confusing or overwhelming. Many of the previously
discussed topics will help you know which technical specifications to research, as only some of them
will be important to you and your photography goals. For the wildlife photographer, shooting tethered
is a feature that may never be used. On the other hand, a portrait photographer or stock photographer
may find tethered shooting invaluable. Other technical details will be determined by your personal
preferences, such as which type of storage or batteries you want to invest in.

Your photography goals will help determine which sensor size is required. If you have already decided
that you are purchasing a medium format camera, this information is less important for you than for
others since the medium format camera uses the medium format sensor. However, if you expect to
purchase one of the other camera types, such as an SLR, DSLR, or a compact/mirrorless camera, you
will want to learn more about the common sensor sizes.
It s important to be aware that sensor size and sensor resolution are different, and that the resolution of
the final image is related to both of these, plus other, specifications. The largest sensor size commonly
used in the more common camera types is called the full frame sensor, which is most similar to 35mm
film. The APS H, APS C, and Four Thirds sensors have smaller dimensions and are commonly called
crop sensors. Note that for each of these dimensions, the sensitivity or number of pixels can vary,
resulting in potentially different resolutions for that particular sensor size. Manufacturers are pushing
the technical capabilities and hardware as much as possible, so be sure to read about their most recent
releases if resolution is a priority for you. Very generally speaking, the larger sensor, the higher the
potential resolution. If your goal is large sized, fine art prints, the larger the sensor you can reasonably
purchase makes sense. Otherwise, for smaller sized prints, including social media, crop

The Importance Of Doing Business In Iraq
Doing business in Iraq
The business model, into this age of information, has integrated itself with many cultures. One of the
results of this globalization is development and research into international business and work related
culture. In a recent paper by Mooij Hofstede (2010), it found focus on researching and investigating
culture is becoming more popular. Looking at the exponential growth and influence of international,
more International Managers are becoming aware of the impact and importance of national culture on

According to Hofstede s work, there is a high power distance index. This means the distance between

the Iraqi people accept the inequality. Here, people in higher positions would not even consider

Support A strategic leader should definitely analyze what affects competitive advantage and how
exactly the company is underperforming. One of the recommendations would be scenario planning. It
would be beneficial to analyze various cases where different product categories can be changed and to
see how will the certain change affect the financial performance of the company. The second
recommendation would be to synthesize all available input from all possible sources internal and
external and create a strategic vision that will help the company see where they need to make changes
and how those changes will help the growth of the financial. Another recommendation would be to
provide customers the service that other competitors do not provide be it either discounts or other
ways of promotions. This will help differentiate PepsiCo from its competitors. Do you agree with
Indra Nooyi s philosophy that performance and purpose are intimately linked and you can t do one
without the other ? Support I agree with this statement because I think that purpose is what provides
motivation for the better level of performance. Human sustainability, environmental sustainability and

people. This helps to attract people who care about the environment and the product and living the life

Innovation No More
It seems we have lost the ability to innovate. We do not think the way we used to; we do not invent
new concepts or ideas, rather we just adapt ideas of the past. Our thinking now a day is very limited to
what we have already created.
Google s definition of innovating, make changes in something established, esp. by introducing new
methods, ideas, or products, suggests that innovation is now just development of an old idea. In this
definition there seems to be no mention of inventing but rather only the alteration of a product in a
way never done before. It s not that the alteration of a product is bad thing but it does create a very
limited thinking world; a world that relies on the blueprints of the past to create a future.
So have we really lost our ability to innovate? Not really, it s just that innovation has become merely
focused on technology. It seems like technology will be the future. That future will involve people
innovation of past ideas and not trying anything new due to the fear of failing. That innovation will
mostly focus on technology which can help to make money.
The novel Oryx and Crake which is based on the future shows somewhat of the real future and what it
will be like. In this science fiction novel, we are treated to a very limited thinking world in which the
main concern is technology and money. There are some technological advances evident in this novel
but not ones which are comprehensive or mind boggling. For example, there is a lot of

Witchcraft in the 17th Century Essay
Witchcraft in the 17th Century
Witchcraft in Europe during the 17th century was common. It mainly took place in Germany, but also
took place in England. Witches were associated with evil; it was believed witches inherited magical
powers from Satan in exchange for the witch s soul. Some of these magical powers included
outrageous claims such as flying, being able to transform and cursing bad luck on others. It was
extremely dangerous to be accused of being a witch as the most common punishment was death, often
by beheading or even being burnt at the stake.
A large proportion of society in England believed in witchcraft, but the reasons as to why a country

[IMAGE]One of the most famous ways in history to test if one was guilty of witchcraft was the
swimming of witches method. This type of trial involved attaching a rope around a person s body and
dunking them in the water, if they were to float then they would be considered guilty. The water was
supposed to represent purity, anybody who floated was thought to have a pact with Satan and therefore
rise to the top. Although this technique was not meant as a punishment many people drowned as a
result. This type of trial was later outlawed as a superstitious and disorderly practice.
Stearne and Hopkins were two men famous for there witch hunts during the 1640 s. By 1646 Hopkins

about either of them but from records Hopkins is believed to be hot headed, arrogant and very
outgoing, he even named himself Witchfinder General. By contrast his partner Stearne was very
closed and bookish , he was not as notorious as Hopkins but had an involvement.

in witches saw him as a hero and when he arrived in Norfolk in 1646 he was welcomed by masses of

The Life Of A Seaman During The Stuart Age
THE LIFE OF A SEAMAN DURING THE STUART AGE
Gregory Leatherman
Course Title
March 31, 2015 The Stuart Age was a tumultuous time for the men of the Navy Royal. Seamen had to
endure to austere conditions that heretofore were unknown to men in service of the crown. The men
were cut off the common life ashore for months, having to deal with cramped quarters, disease,
repetitive and salty foods, and low pay. On top of all of this sailors had to face the danger of weather
at sea and the constant threat of attack by enemy ships. This paper will attempt to give the reader a
real sense of the experience of the 17th century English sailor. I would be remiss if I did not mention
the lack of accurate recordkeeping ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once a man had signed on and come aboard, the officers were supposed to decide if the man was an
able or ordinary seaman. Able seamen were more advanced than ordinary and would be given
positions of increased responsibility. Able seamen would helm the ship or control the sails and rigging,
positions that required considerable skill. Taking the helm of a ship meant controlling the movements
of the ship. While an officer would oversee this position, the helmsman may have to make a decision
in an emergency to ensure that wind stayed in the sails. An ordinary seaman was not one that was
unskilled, many times working above the deck and learning the rigging or manning a gun such as a
musket. The pay of a navy man was decent; after 1693 ordinary seamen were given 19 shillings per
month and able seamen were given 24. This pay was about the same as a land laborer, but was less
than could be paid for service in the merchant service. Men expected to be paid a lump sum at the end
of each trip, but naval administration of the time usually did not have the money to do so. Crews could
accumulate massive running debts owed to them by the administration, sometimes up to 3 or 4 years
of pay. In such cases, families of sailors had to use credit or charity from friends and family to afford
life. Samuel Pepys noted in his diary that this put undue stress on the sailors and their families,

Identity Based Encryption is a public key encryption scheme where any string can be a users email
address or name. The advantage of Identity Based Encryption is no certificate is needed to bind names
to public keys. This feature may help to launch a public key infrastructure since receiver does not have
to obtain public key and certificate before receiving encrypted communication. The sender can use
receivers Id as its public key and does not need to obtain and verify certificate on the recipient s public
key.
5. Advantages of ECC over RSA
A. Security
The main advantage ECC has over RSA is that the essential operation in ECC is point addition and it
is computationally very costly. To maintain the same security degree the bits number will increase in
RSA generated key pair. We can see from below figure that RSA should use 3072 bit while 256 bit for
ECC. Hence ECC is more secure than RSA.
B. Space Requirements
Because increasing computation is needed for higher bit encryption more transistors are needed
onboard the smart card to achieve operation. This causes growth in the area of employed processors.
By ECC transistor number can be cut back on since numbers required are much smaller than RSA
with similar level of security. Bandwidth requirements are same for RSA and ECC when message is
long but when message is short ECC is

Titanic Ship Failure Essay
My professor, Dr. Haddock, once said, Failure is not an Option... It s a Requirement . Throughout the
history of mankind there has been evidence of this. In life there will always be failures that will come
one s way; although, from those failures one can learn and prevent it from ever happening again. Even
when one s plan seems full proof, there will always be a chance of the plan going haywire. There was
once a so called, unsinkable vessel that set off upon a voyage to be an ideal ship; although, from
history lessons and stories of horrible disaster they beg to differ. The Titanic was thought to be
impossible to sink, magnificently engineered, and because of this disaster engineers dissects what

The Lemon Tree Summary
The Lemon Tree explores the Israeli Palestinian conflict, beginning in 1917 with the Balfor
Declaration and British rule in Palestine through 2005, shortly before the book was published. It
considers both the international conflicts and the personal conflicts, specifically from the point of view
of an Arab, Bashir, and a Jew, Dalia who lived through the struggle. In doing so, Tolan typically
discusses the important events multiple times from multiple perspectives in order to give readers a full
picture. Specifically, some major events explored include the Great Arab Rebellion, the Israeli War for
Independence or Nakba, international events, the Six Day War, and both intifadas. Tolan explains both
their personal effects for Bashir and Dalia and their national, and sometimes international, effects in
the wider world.
III Analytical Summary How can the residents of an area that has been in turmoil for the past century

When Tolan ends the book, Dalia supports a two state solution, with boarders similar to before the Six

in exile in Lebanon did not change this from even their first discussion about it. No matter what

the creature murdered many innocent people, but he also just wanted to be accepted and was tired of
being an outcast. In my own opinion I believe that the creature is the true monster. In the beginning of
the novel when the creature is first created he goes berserk because everything is new to him and he
does not know where he is or what he is doing. He flees from Victor and goes deep into the woods
where he learns about fire and additional nature stuff. He keeps wandering until he comes upon a
village where he goes to accomodate with people.

Seamus Heaney Blackberry-Picking Essay
Seamus Heaney s poem Blackberry Picking , conveys not only a literal description of picking
blackberries, but it also has a deeper meaning of the whole experience and that is death. Heaney uses
simile, imagery, and tone to reveal the deeper understanding, which is death, to the poem.
As Heaney mentions his hands being dirty and sticky from picking out many blackberries, he uses
simile to compare his sticky hands to Bluebeard s. Our palms sticky hands as Bluebeard s . Bluebeard
is a character (fictional) who murdered his wives, how can Heaney compare his sticky palms with a
murderer. Heaney compares his hands to a murderer which first gives the idea of death. Heaney is
Bluebeard (not literally).
He also introduces death to the poem by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He states I always felt like crying. It wasn t fair that all the lovely canfuls smelt of rot. Each year I
hoped they d keep, knew try would not , the tone is disappointment. He had hope of the fruit staying

much, picking the berries, he always finds himself with rotten berries. Death, in general, can
disappoint you because you can just hope that death doesn t come by when we all know that it will.
To conclusion, Heaney reveals death in this poem by using simile, imagery, and tone. the berries
represent death as they go through the cycle of being fresh to being rotten. First, Heaney represents
death by comparing his hands to a character, Bluebeard, for ripping out the berries from the bushes
and having his hands all dirty and sticky from the hard work. Then, he uses imagery to describe how
the fruit changed by rotting. Lastly, he uses tone by revealing how disappointed he was of seeing the
fresh sweet berries turn into old sour berries that were no longer fresh. Although he has hope, he finds
himself apprehensive about the berries going to waist and knows that the life cycle will never change

Examples Of Magical Realism In Midnight s Children

an allegory for India. Born at midnight 15 August 1947, when India gained its independence from the
British rule, Saleem believes that he is handcuffed to history (Rushdie, 6). From Saleems perspective,
what happens to him, happens to the country (Rubinson, 33). Rushdie, in this way, uses a mix of

After the partition, the state of Kashmir happened to share borders with both Pakistan and India. Since
Kashmir had a Hindu leader but a predominantly Muslim population, a conflict was inevitable. The
struggle of which nation would incorporate the state led eventually to the first India Pakistan War in
1947. The war ended in 1948 with UN interference, Kashmir joined the Republic of India, while the
Pakistani Government continued to believe that the Muslim state belonged to Pakistan (The Office

therefore the war was to separate me from my sins. (Rushdie, 399) Saleem dreams about Kashmir as
the idyllic Garden of Eden; his family history stems from Kashmir (Bounse, 14). Since the war had

Annabell s Pov
7 years.... 7 years spent in this territory being beaten and abused bu the pack and the Alpha. Today is
my 16th birthday the time, I am suppose to find my mate, fall in love, and live happily ever after. But
its not going to happen, because I spend most of my time locked in the cellar of Alpha s basement. I

Essay On Stereotypes And Prejudice
Stereotypes and prejudice are comprehended as related but different concepts in social psychology. A
stereotype is a cognitive representation of a social group that humans construct by associating specific
attributes and emotions with the group, whereas, prejudice is the pure positive or negative evaluation
of this social group. In more recent literature, much attention has been given to the dependency of
implicit stereotyping and implicit prejudice and their different implications in human behaviour.
A recent paper by Amodio and Devine (2006) is based on the hypothesis that there is a division into
two forms of behaviour; this is, cognitive and affective. Standing by the neuropsychological evidence
(see Davis Whalen, 2001) that has proven the existence of two different neural pathways for affective
and cognitive systems of learning and memory; it concludes that there is a conceptual distinction
between implicit stereotyping and implicit prejudice, the cause of which revolves around their
individual reliance on different neural substrate. They also postulate that if implicit stereotyping and
prejudice depend on different memory systems, they might also have different types of ... Show more

their experiment about implicit race bias) that help assure independence of the types of implicit bias. It
should be noted that one criticism in Gawronski at el s methodology is that their paper s reasoning is
based more on a proof by contradiction, rather than adding more to the discussion. A better approach
could have been to instead use an independent variable with more depth, one that captures all of the

Maharashtra’s maximum irrigation potential
Challenges faced by many countries in their struggle for economic and social developments are
related to water (TAC, GWP 2000: 6) 2. India, too, is a varied country in terms of water availability
and Maharashtra is a peculiar State of it.
Maharashtra has uneven distribution of water resources. A large area is, therefore, water deficit
whereas a small part is bestowed with abundance of water. Maharashtra s physiography has
constraints over the creation of surface water (SW) potential for irrigation purpose. At present, the
area under irrigation is 17.5 per cent out of total cultivable area 3. One study estimates that even after
exploiting all feasible sites, maximum irrigation potential created may reach up to 34 percent. This

In line with the policy, GSDA, following its emergence, was inclined towards executing systematic
and scientific hydrogeological surveys for exploration, assessment and development of GW sources in
the State. The organisation began with scientific approach for strategic development and appropriate
policy formulation. During this first phase GSDA carried out considerable work pertaining to GW
development. The core concept was drilling of bore wells (BW) and hand pump installation to provide
drinking water facility to rural population in view of source dependency. The underlying objective was
to provide potable and assured drinking water in every nook and corner of the State.
State resolved the issue of drinking water scarcity by initiating BW based hand pump programs.
GSDA carried out drilling activities and drilled more than 100,000 BWs. Similarly, GSDA
recommended open dug wells (DW) to tap GW from shallow aquifer 5 that is replenishable under
normal rainfall conditions for irrigational purpose.
Consequently, the role of organisation as service provider helped tackle drinking water scarcity in the
State, placating the impatient politicians. The scientific survey by organisation helped in greater
success of DWs in terms of GW availability. However, it became imperative for organisations to
modify their structure to suit the new roles, new attitudes and approaches in its functioning. GSDA,

Ways For Nurses For A Family With Chronic Illness
The purpose of this paper is to present ways for nurses to consider when providing care for a family
with chronic illness. Touhy et al., (2012) defines chronic illness as an illness that last more than a year
and continuous medical treatment with limitation to activity of daily living. Chronic illness such as
stroke can present family and individual challenges throughout an individual s life span. Knowledge
about disease pathology and compliance to medical treatment while having family support are
essential for prevention of additional complications and comorbidities. Cancer, cardiovascular disease,
and diabetes are the most common chronic diseases in Canada. According to the (Canadian Nurses
Association [CNA]), each year 163, 000 Canadians die due to cardiovascular disease, cancer, lung
disease, and diabetes while cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death, disability, and
illness. Therefore, we will discuss the important ways that family nurses utilize their skills in health
promotion, and develop preventative management care plan that are appropriate for family situations.

Compare and contrast The Echoing Green with The Schoolboy by
Compare and contrast The Echoing Green with The Schoolboy by
William Blake
Both The Echoing Green and The Schoolboy are classed under the section, Songs of Innocence ,
which at first suggests that they will be of a similar nature. However this presumption is dispelled
early on, as one examines the issues behind the often comparable wording.
Many elements in The Schoolboy do echo those in The Echoing Green and visa versa, but the
atmospheres of each poem that are presented are so different that it becomes difficult to see how two
such contrasting pieces of work can unite in the same genre.
The Echoing Green is one of Blake s most idyllic poems, as it is set in a pastoral and carefree
atmosphere, which centres ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By using the image of a summer morn in the first stanza, Blake creates a tranquil and untainted
atmosphere, and descriptions such as birds sing and the distant huntsman winds his horn add an
auditory element in an almost identical way to the previous poem. However the serene scene does not
continue into the second verse, where the tone changes and Blake describes how having to go to
school ruins such a beautiful day: it drives all joy away . The use of the word drives is quite strong and
terminates the flowing nature of the previous verse, and the repetition of a summer morn allows one to
contrast the two verses.
From hence forward, The Schoolboy continues with a fairly negative tone, switching from the first
person, I drooping sit to a more philosophical stance towards the end, How shall we gather what griefs
destroy? . The stoical conclusion I feel demonstrates the implications of education, and shows that, if
buds are nipped , one not only damages childhood but also runs the risk of establishing a long term
effect on the individual, later on in life.
Both poems use time to illustrate the changing nature of the individuals, but even this is performed in
very different ways. The increasing darkness of The Schoolboy could be seen as representational of
the changing seasons, adding to the aspect of the natural world in the poem, especially as the final

Genesis And Job Essay
In the Bible, the books of Genesis and Job, each give a description of the creation of heaven and earth.
They depict different views and styles but share the same idea that God is the creator. Genesis 1 2 is
the most popular and well known story that says God created everything in six days and the seventh
day was rest. In the book of Job 38 40, the concept of creation was told to Job in order to make him
understand why he was suffering and to perceive the ways of God.
The first chapter in Genesis defines the beginning as being majestic and analytical. It demonstrates a
limited description of how life will continue to be maintained in everyday growth and how the earth
will continue to bring food for all living things (Gen. 1:29 30). Genesis also suggest that the Creator
was a one time occurance at the beginning of time. It explains what God created each day and in
chapter 2 clarifies the creation of man and woman. On the other hand, Job provides imagery and
metaphors to help the human mind to wrap around the concept of how the universe was formed. For
example, God speaks to Job ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

there be light, and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light
from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was

Media Policy Issue In Canada
One media policy issue in particular has been in the news quite a lot recently, and has caught my
attention. The bill in question has many Canadians worried about not only their safety and privacy
online and in public places, but also what is done with their personal information and how it is being
shared, without their consent. In researching (you guessed it) Bill C 51, I became highly interested in
finding out if, and how long service providers have been allowed to collect and distribute people s
personal information whether it be free, or for money. I then did some research on the Privacy Act that
took effect in 1983 and is still in place in Canada today. On the official website for the Office of the

we talked about in class, police, government officials and especially ISPs should provide a reason for
entrance into people s private lives. I hope for the direction of this Bill to stay securely in the middle,
rather than take a strong side, because as much as we need privacy in our lives, we also need to keep
the well being of Canadians in mind. In this situation I believe that it is salient to maintain a healthy
public sphere by keeping an open debate about this bill. We need put forth new policies to stop
companies and government officials from creating a monopoly when it comes to access to personal

Analyzing Beyoncé s Countdown
I can remember when Beyoncé first released Countdown, it was monumental because she was telling
the public about her pregnancy and we did not even realize it yet. I can remember vividly what year it
was and where I was. It was 2011, I was a Sophomore in high school, and it was Homecoming for us.
We chose this song to represent the Sophomore class and we created a used a dance that we found
online. The new choreography was a bit harder than what was being done in the video but we made it
work. In addition to using the song for Homecoming, I always liked the music video to it because of
the color pop and quick movements. It never crossed my mind that this music video was a rendition of
a dance movie/video that was created before. After watching Rosas then Countdown, it changed my
appreciation for the work overall.
With being instructed to watch Rosas by Keersmaker first, I immediately had a feeling that the two
videos were similar in how they looked. For the first five minutes for Rosas, the dancers were just

that came off as sharp were edited to look that way. Most of Beyoncé s movements were to go along

individuality with all of the dancers including Beyoncé, for the most part, they all had on different

Leadership In Tim O Brien s Gung Ho !
Gung Ho!
This book report exemplified the character of leadership to me. Not only in business but in life,
leadership is very important when your goal is success. Being a leader is about glorifying your name
to the public. Being a leader means staying keeping yourself focus and maintaining your team focus as
well. Being a part of athletics taught me that there is no I, in team. Being about I , will leave you as
failure and in the sports world a loser. This concept goes right along with the business world. When
operating a business if you are not careful about the treatment of your employees, manufacturing area,
or clientele then you re bound to not reach the expectations as created. This book attracted me to
choose it for many reasons. When I first saw the cover page of the book , I thought of a famous
Chinese male because of the name Gung Ho! I look up to a lot of famous Chinese businessmen such
as Jack ma, Lei Jun, and my favorite Chinese billionaire Wang Jianlin. So the name really stood out to
me and caught my attention to view more of the book. Secondly what brought me to choose this book,
was the sentence turn on the people in any organization . I immediately asked myself what does that
even mean. Questions stormed into my head such as, did the owner turn his back on all of his
employees? Did the employees turn their back on the owner and sought out law cases against the
owner? Those are only a few questions I asked myself regarding that sentence, I had plenty of more.
This book is relevant to this class because it described different scenarios that any manager would go
through when emerging into a new atmosphere. You never know how it will play out, but the way you
view things as a person and how serious you take your job will decide if your business will be
successful or crash like the ones before. In class we discuss business opportunities and what character
traits a successful manager possesses. The manager in this book showed dedication, heart , decision
making, and a listening ear within uncomfortable situations. This manager exemplified what the inside
of a general manager s life displayed.

Renaissance Humanism In The Italian Renaissance
The Italian Renaissance describes the collation of a distinct change in Italian social, political, cultural,

Thesis: Although Italy, the birthplace of Renaissance humanism did not undergo the Protestant

II. Historical Background
After the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 CE and the rise of Charlemagne s Holy Roman
Empire in 800, the Catholic Church dominated the sociopolitical scene in Europe for nearly a
millennium. Often referred to as the Middle Ages, Medieval Ages, or even the Dark Ages, many
authors, such as Jacob Burckhardt, argue that complete cultural stagnation characterizes this time of
European history. Despite this viewpoint however, culture existed during the Middle Ages through
ecclesiastical culture. The synonymousness of morality with Christian morality, of time with religious
holidays, and of literacy with the reading of religious texts demonstrates this culture dominated by the
Church. However, this unprecedented ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay on America s Open Door Policy
The Open Door Policy is a term in outside issues at first used to allude to the United States strategy in
the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century sketched out in Secretary of State John Hay s
Open Door Note, dispatched in 1899 to his European partners. The arrangement proposed to keep
China open to exchange with all nations on an equivalent premise; hence, no global force might have
aggregate control of the nation. The strategy called upon outside forces, inside their effective reaches,
to shun meddling with any bargain port or any vested enthusiasm, to allow Chinese powers to gather
levies on an equivalent support, and to show no favors to their own particular nationals in the matter
of harbor duty or railroad charges. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a reaction, William Woodville Rockhill detailed the Open Door Policy in intend to protecting
American business chances and different hobbies in China. In September 6, 1899, U.s. Secretary of
State John Hay sent notes to the significant forces, such as France, Germany, Britain, Italy, Japan, and
Russia, requesting that them announce formally that they might maintain Chinese regional and
managerial trustworthiness and might not meddle with the free utilization of the bargain ports inside
their authoritative reaches in China. The Open Door Policy expressed that all countries, including the
United States, could revel in equivalent access to the Chinese market.
In answer, every nation attempted to avoid Hay s appeal, taking the position that it couldn t submit
itself until alternate countries had consented. In any case, by July 1900, Hay proclaimed that each of
the forces had allowed consent on a fundamental level. In spite of the fact that settlements made after
1900 allude to the Open Door Policy, rivalry around the different forces for extraordinary concessions
inside China for railroad rights, mining rights, advances, remote exchange ports, etc., proceeded
unabated.
In 1902, the United States government dissented that Russian infringement in Manchuria after the
Boxer Rebellion was a violation of the Open Door Policy. The point

The Court is not only an officer over governmental actions, but ensures fundamental freedoms. The Court is the mediator to issues between the people and the government. The Supreme Court asserts judicial responsibility in addressing the concerns of the people in times of crisis. Judicial intervention is necessary and thus has become a powerful branch with vast influence over the executive and legislative. • 7. Health And Safety At The Workplace Health and Safety in the Workplace The health and safety in the workplace for workers has created a continual concern in the United States since the country was discovered. Although, a healthy and safe work environment can be described as a work area free of health risks and absent unsafe conditions. Indeed, the definition encompasses additional legal, moral, ethical issues. Particularly, reporting safety issues rather than choosing to ignore them, refusing to fall under peer pressure or fear of retaliation, not accepting bribes and making the conscious decision to report violators of the rules. Initially, certain accidents and injuries within industries were accepted and considered a consequence of the job, eventually workers became less accepting of inadequate working conditions began demanding safer work environments. Therefore, numerous labor unions and organizations formed throughout the history of the United States intended to resolve and mediate issues between employees and employers, including the health and safety of the workers in the workplace. Nevertheless, in an effort to avoid confusion on the accountability of employee health and safety in the workplace the author of this paper has examined the separate entities of OSHA, employers and employees. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Your photography goals will help determine which sensor size is required. If you have already decided that you are purchasing a medium format camera, this information is less important for you than for others since the medium format camera uses the medium format sensor. However, if you expect to purchase one of the other camera types, such as an SLR, DSLR, or a compact/mirrorless camera, you will want to learn more about the common sensor sizes. It s important to be aware that sensor size and sensor resolution are different, and that the resolution of the final image is related to both of these, plus other, specifications. The largest sensor size commonly used in the more common camera types is called the full frame sensor, which is most similar to 35mm film. The APS H, APS C, and Four Thirds sensors have smaller dimensions and are commonly called crop sensors. Note that for each of these dimensions, the sensitivity or number of pixels can vary, resulting in potentially different resolutions for that particular sensor size. Manufacturers are pushing the technical capabilities and hardware as much as possible, so be sure to read about their most recent releases if resolution is a priority for you. Very generally speaking, the larger sensor, the higher the potential resolution. If your goal is large sized, fine art prints, the larger the sensor you can reasonably purchase makes sense. Our thinking now a day is very limited to what we have already created. Google s definition of innovating, make changes in something established, esp. by introducing new methods, ideas, or products, suggests that innovation is now just development of an old idea. In this definition there seems to be no mention of inventing but rather only the alteration of a product in a way never done before. It s not that the alteration of a product is bad thing but it does create a very limited thinking world; a world that relies on the blueprints of the past to create a future. So have we really lost our ability to innovate? Not really, it s just that innovation has become merely focused on technology. It seems like technology will be the future. That future will involve people innovation of past ideas and not trying anything new due to the fear of failing. That innovation will mostly focus on technology which can help to make money. The novel Oryx and Crake which is based on the future shows somewhat of the real future and what it will be like. The men were cut off the common life ashore for months, having to deal with cramped quarters, disease, repetitive and salty foods, and low pay. On top of all of this sailors had to face the danger of weather at sea and the constant threat of attack by enemy ships. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once a man had signed on and come aboard, the officers were supposed to decide if the man was an able or ordinary seaman. Able seamen were more advanced than ordinary and would be given positions of increased responsibility. Able seamen would helm the ship or control the sails and rigging, positions that required considerable skill. Taking the helm of a ship meant controlling the movements of the ship. While an officer would oversee this position, the helmsman may have to make a decision in an emergency to ensure that wind stayed in the sails. An ordinary seaman was not one that was unskilled, many times working above the deck and learning the rigging or manning a gun such as a musket. The pay of a navy man was decent; after 1693 ordinary seamen were given 19 shillings per month and able seamen were given 24. This pay was about the same as a land laborer, but was less than could be paid for service in the merchant service. Men expected to be paid a lump sum at the end of each trip, but naval administration of the time usually did not have the money to do so. Crews could accumulate massive running debts owed to them by the administration, sometimes up to 3 or 4 years of pay. A stereotype is a cognitive representation of a social group that humans construct by associating specific attributes and emotions with the group, whereas, prejudice is the pure positive or negative evaluation of this social group. In more recent literature, much attention has been given to the dependency of implicit stereotyping and implicit prejudice and their different implications in human behaviour. Compare and contrast The Echoing Green with The Schoolboy by Compare and contrast The Echoing Green with The Schoolboy by William Blake Both The Echoing Green and The Schoolboy are classed under the section, Songs of Innocence , which at first suggests that they will be of a similar nature. However this presumption is dispelled early on, as one examines the issues behind the often comparable wording. Many elements in The Schoolboy do echo those in The Echoing Green and visa versa, but the atmospheres of each poem that are presented are so different that it becomes difficult to see how two such contrasting pieces of work can unite in the same genre. The Echoing Green is one of Blake s most idyllic poems, as it is set in a pastoral and carefree atmosphere, which centres ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By using the image of a summer morn in the first stanza, Blake creates a tranquil and untainted atmosphere, and descriptions such as birds sing and the distant huntsman winds his horn add an auditory element in an almost identical way to the previous poem. However the serene scene does not continue into the second verse, where the tone changes and Blake describes how having to go to school ruins such a beautiful day: it drives all joy away . The use of the word drives is quite strong and terminates the flowing nature of the previous verse, and the repetition of a summer morn allows one to contrast the two verses. From hence forward, The Schoolboy continues with a fairly negative tone, switching from the first person, I drooping sit to a more philosophical stance towards the end, How shall we gather what griefs destroy? . The stoical conclusion I feel demonstrates the implications of education, and shows that, if buds are nipped , one not only damages childhood but also runs the risk of establishing a long term effect on the individual, later on in life. Both poems use time to illustrate the changing nature of the individuals, but even this is performed in very different ways. The increasing darkness of The Schoolboy could be seen as representational of the changing seasons, adding to the aspect of the natural world in the poem, especially as the final verses ... • 33. Genesis And Job Essay In the Bible, the books of Genesis and Job, each give a description of the creation of heaven and earth. They depict different views and styles but share the same idea that God is the creator. Genesis 1 2 is the most popular and well known story that says God created everything in six days and the seventh day was rest. In the book of Job 38 40, the concept of creation was told to Job in order to make him understand why he was suffering and to perceive the ways of God. The first chapter in Genesis defines the beginning as being majestic and analytical. It demonstrates a limited description of how life will continue to be maintained in everyday growth and how the earth will continue to bring food for all living things (Gen. 1:29 30). Genesis also suggest that the Creator was a one time occurance at the beginning of time. It explains what God created each day and in chapter 2 clarifies the creation of man and woman. On the other hand, Job provides imagery and metaphors to help the human mind to wrap around the concept of how the universe was formed. For example, God speaks to Job ... • 34. Media Policy Issue In Canada One media policy issue in particular has been in the news quite a lot recently, and has caught my attention. The bill in question has many Canadians worried about not only their safety and privacy online and in public places, but also what is done with their personal information and how it is being shared, without their consent. In researching (you guessed it) Bill C 51, I became highly interested in finding out if, and how long service providers have been allowed to collect and distribute people s personal information whether it be free, or for money. We chose this song to represent the Sophomore class and we created a used a dance that we found online. The new choreography was a bit harder than what was being done in the video but we made it work. • 37. Leadership In Tim O Brien s Gung Ho ! Gung Ho! This book report exemplified the character of leadership to me. Not only in business but in life, leadership is very important when your goal is success. Being a leader is about glorifying your name to the public. Being a leader means staying keeping yourself focus and maintaining your team focus as well. Being a part of athletics taught me that there is no I, in team. Being about I , will leave you as failure and in the sports world a loser. This concept goes right along with the business world. When operating a business if you are not careful about the treatment of your employees, manufacturing area, or clientele then you re bound to not reach the expectations as created. This book attracted me to choose it for many reasons. When I first saw the cover page of the book , I thought of a famous Chinese male because of the name Gung Ho! I look up to a lot of famous Chinese businessmen such as Jack ma, Lei Jun, and my favorite Chinese billionaire Wang Jianlin. So the name really stood out to me and caught my attention to view more of the book. Secondly what brought me to choose this book, was the sentence turn on the people in any organization . I immediately asked myself what does that even mean. Questions stormed into my head such as, did the owner turn his back on all of his employees? Did the employees turn their back on the owner and sought out law cases against the owner? Those are only a few questions I asked myself regarding that sentence, I had plenty of more. This book is relevant to this class because it described different scenarios that any manager would go through when emerging into a new atmosphere. You never know how it will play out, but the way you view things as a person and how serious you take your job will decide if your business will be successful or crash like the ones before. In class we discuss business opportunities and what character traits a successful manager possesses. The manager in this book showed dedication, heart , decision making, and a listening ear within uncomfortable situations. This manager exemplified what the inside of a general manager s life displayed. There are several points with the book that relates to what we learn in class. The first key point that ... The arrangement proposed to keep China open to exchange with all nations on an equivalent premise; hence, no global force might have aggregate control of the nation. The strategy called upon outside forces, inside their effective reaches, to shun meddling with any bargain port or any vested enthusiasm, to allow Chinese powers to gather levies on an equivalent support, and to show no favors to their own particular nationals in the matter of harbor duty or railroad charges. ... The Open Door Policy expressed that all countries, including the United States, could revel in equivalent access to the Chinese market. In answer, every nation attempted to avoid Hay s appeal, taking the position that it couldn t submit itself until alternate countries had consented. In any case, by July 1900, Hay proclaimed that each of the forces had allowed consent on a fundamental level. In spite of the fact that settlements made after 1900 allude to the Open Door Policy, rivalry around the different forces for extraordinary concessions inside China for railroad rights, mining rights, advances, remote exchange ports, etc., proceeded unabated.
