Summary Of The March Of Washington Speech
In the speech that took place during the March of Washington, the speaker John Lewis argues in
favor of African American rights. Lewis purpose when delivering the speech was to make people
aware of the difficulties that African Americans are going through at that time as well as to
encourage them to fight for their rights that they deserve. Lewis maintains a serious and agitated
tone that helps persuade the audience into realizing the hardships that African Americans must go
through on a daily basis because they do not have rights and uses a series of rhetorical strategies
that help strengthen his point. John Lewis represented the people that were prohibited to have their
rights, and when giving the speech, he hopes to create a difference not only in the world but also
within the people themselves. John Lewis begins his remarks by revealing his attitude that civil
rights leaders should not congratulate themselves yet and that there is still a long road before
African Americans have true freedom. To immediately complicate the notion of being satisfied with
the progress of the civil rights movement that other speakers proclaimed, he announces, We march
today for jobs and freedom, but we have nothing to be proud of (para 1). The essence of Lewis
argument is that the leaders of the civil rights movement are marching for workplace fairness and
equality for African Americans, but they should not stop and congratulate themselves. Significantly,
this opening statement reveals

Essay on A Role for Religion in Public Service
A Role for Religion in Public Service
ABSTRACT: In this paper I discuss recent scholarly work on ideology, mostly by Europeans, that
exposes a secularist bias in current political theory, invites a nonderogatory concept of religion, and
(I argue) justifies more flexible church/state relations. This work involves (1) redefining ideology as
any action oriented ideas, whether destructive or ameliorative, including both secular theory and
religion, then (2) drawing on hermeneutical and critical studies of the power/ideology relationship
to rediscover a role for utopia as a social catalyst for amelioration. I then call attention to the
relevance of mission to this work. For in both secular and sacred contexts, missions are defined and

This reconsideration involves two phases. First ideology is redefined as any action oriented ideas
whether destructive or ameliorative including both secular theory and religion. Then hermeneutical
and critical studies of the power/ideology relationship help us rediscover the role of utopia as a
social catalyst for amelioration.
As exemplified by Newspeak in George Orwell s Nineteen Eighty Four: destructive ideology is
used not to convey information but to provide a truth indifferent rationale for institutional policies
and practices. Such obfuscation has been a government staple, not just in the former Soviet Union
but in the West as well, where governments have misrepresented their coercive activities as fending
off bandits earlier in the twentieth century and terrorists more recently. What matters for my
purposes is that one might similarly appeal to religious beliefs to justify pursuing a goal that is not
obviously religious at all.(1)
Special terminology is needed, then, to distinguish religious beliefs from mobilized religion. For
this purpose some writers(2) use the term worldview (in German, Weltanschauung), and others rely
on ideology. Worldview encompasses both religious and secular beliefs, as does visionof the world
or mentality, which some historians favor.(3) But none of these implies a call to action. The term
ideology , though action oriented, tends to be associated only with nonreligious ideas. But some

Children Are Different From Adults
The first way that children are different from adults is that they are more likely to get sick and
injured. The second way that children are different from adults is that they spend more time
outside. The third way that children are different from adults is that they need help from adults in
emergencies. The fourth way that children are different from adults is that they put their hands in
their mouth more often than adults. The fifth way that children are different from adults is that it
takes a while for them to understand something vs. an adult who can understand something
instantly. The sixth way that children are different from adults is that they don t have to worry
about paying any bills. The seventh way that children are different from adults is that they can t
drive a car. The eighth way that children are different from adults is that they don t work or have a
job. The ninth way that children are different from adults is that they most likely don t have to do
any chores since their young. The tenth way that children are different from adults is that they are
self centered. 2.) There was only one thing that I listed in the way children and adults think. I
mentioned that it takes a while for children to understand something vs. an adult who can
understand something instantly. The reason why is because adults have a better knowledge
because their much older and mature. I think my list included mostly other things in the way
children and adults think because when

Maya Angelu Speech
A Brave Woman Around 10,000 people including four US presidents attended the six hour
funeral of civil rights (Waldron, 2006, p.7): Coretta Scott King. King was an outspoken
opponent of injustices ranging from capitol punishments to apartheid in South Africa
(Goodman, 2008). She was a great supporter of everyone s rights. King was a brave woman who
went through lots of hard challenges in her life and somehow always found a way to get up and
keep moving forward to continue her fight for justice. Coretta had many speakers at her funeral
(Waldron, 2006, p.7), but one that really stood out was her best friend Maya Angelou. Maya
Angelou was an esteemed poet, author, dancer, actress, and singer who was born in St. Louis,
Missouri on April 4, 1928 (Behr, 2014). In the eulogy that was published in 2008 Angelou talked
about the beliefs of King, the human beings she cared for, and memorable moments they spent
together. She gave a very effective speech, starting off by singing in a way that connected with her
audience, used pathos, and humor. One reason Angelou s speech was effective was through the
connection she made with her audience. Angelou opened and closed her speech by bursting heartily
and soulfully into what sounded like a hymnal song. (Angelou, 2008) The musical addition added a
spiritual element to not just her talk, but to the entire funeral. It was a church song that not only
connected to the religious people, but everyone else in the audience. For instance,

The Issue Of Stealing Financial Data From Credit Or Debit...
4.1.1. To consumers Along with the remarkable development of technology and the Internet,
people are becoming more rely on technology, thus dealing with more cyber crime comparing to
the past. The issue of stealing financial data from credit or debit card has been a heated issue for
the past decades. Furthermore, lately, as the practice of contactless and mobile payment to pay
get accepted and is used more by consumers, a new door of opportunity has been opened for cyber
criminals. Hackers can hack into customers financial data, get their payment information, have
direct access to their money and are able to use them at their disposal. The worst case will be

Cyber attacks might lead companies to the revelation of negligence claims, dark side of their
business, such as the incapacity to meet contractual responsibilities and obligations, thus
harming firm s trusts from customers. Besides, cyber attacks also bring about loss of
intellectual property or even legal liability. Company s competitors would like to take a look at
intellectual property: new product ideas or final designs, development plans, business data like
pricing, cost analysis, sales, advertising budget or strategic planning data and project bidding
data (Andrijcic, Horowitz, 2006). Statistically, US$400 is spent by the international economy on
cyber crime every year (Gabel, 2015). Besides, in 2013 alone, around 3,000 American firms were
attacked by cyber criminals. Two high profile, major players in American retailer industry Target
and Home Depot suffered from being compromised. In some other firms, hackers stole money
from accounts, engaged in industrial espionage. Even worse, for some unluckily organisations,
these hackers even took over the systems completely and requested for ransom money. 4.1.3. IT
organisations Along with the development of the Internet, various types of virus developed by
hackers are becoming more sophisticated. Take ransomware as an example. It is a type of malware

Themes In David K. Shipler s The Working Poor
In the novel The Working Poor by David K. Shipler, he wrote about the struggles that people
have faced because of their specific position. He interviewed people that were in different
situations and with different jobs. There were several women he wrote about that had children and
struggled with abusive relationships. There were immigrants that he interviewed that worked in
the garment industry. Shipler wrote about people that worked in farms as well. He also wrote
about people with criminal records that lacked confidence in themselves to get a job. In the novel
The Working Poor written by David K. Shipler, one of the major themes was the death of the
American Dream which was represented by characters such as Caroline, Christie, and Candalaria....

Her story was used to show the death of the American Dream because immigrants moved to the
United States in order to have a better life than they had when they lived in their home country.
Shipler used an example of unfair treatment of immigrants when he wrote, Candalaria started work
at 7 a.m., but Anh didn t let her punch in until 9 to make sure the records showed fewer hours
(Shipler 78). Shipler added that part in his novel to demonstrate that Candalaria was not getting
paid for all the hours that she worked. According to Karen Olsson, To meet the goals, supervisors
pressure employees to work extra hours without pay (Olsson). This relates to Candalaria s situation
because they are being treated unfairly. Immigrants moved to the United States in search of the

Radio Frequency Identification
The radio frequency identification is the system, which uses the radio wave to read the information

data carrier in RFID, RFID tag reader or transceiver, which read data from and write to transponder
and data processing subsystem, which use the data obtained from the transceiver.
The transmitters and responders have electronic microchip that stores data and coupling elements
like coiled antenna, used to communicate via radio frequency waves. Transponders might be active
or passive. Active transponders have an on tag

Virtua healthcare system has four branches of the hospital located throughout New Jersey. New
Jersey is a very large state and often could not meet the needs of the community for ambulatory
services and others. Hence, many of the patients would travel to Philadelphia for comprehension or
ambulatory care. This new renovation will allow patients to remain in the comfort of their area.
Southern New Jersey population has grown to over 40 percent over this decade alone.
Immigrants have been finding jobs and establishing residency for years. Since 2000 Southern
New Jersey foreign born population is increasing according to the U.S. Census and America
Survey data. The Press of Atlantic City analyzed census data on foreign born residents for 69
municipalities in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and southern Ocean counties. In 2000, there
were 45,479 foreign born people in the region. That number has since grown to 63,558, an
increase of 18,059. As a percent of the population, the foreign born has increased regionally from 7
percent to 9 percent, Press analysis shows (Lemongello, S. 2011).
Conclusion
This paper informed us on the necessity of the need for Southern New Jersey ambulatory care

Essay on Intellectual Property
1.Why is the market for intellectual property (IP) so illiquid and inefficient today?
IP is becoming increasingly important in the world economy. This can be seen in the increase of
patent application and granting. Contrary to the growing IP assets, the market for IP was still con
sidered small and illiquid. Obstacles hindering the uptake of the IP market are:
High search and transaction costs for both sides, seller and buyer: There is no transparent mar ket
providing fair value estimates such as ebay.com where inventors or patent owners can look for a
market for their IP rights. Further, standardized licensing deals do not exist: most IP trans actions

IP auctions are similar to live auctions including an auctioneer. The patents were sold to the high

2.buyer s/seller s premium for successfully closed transactionsпЂ«about 3 auctions a year since
2004
пЂ«$14.3 million revenue at last auction in 2010
пЂVery sensitive to economic changes: auction after financial crisis in 2009 only sold 7% of its
lots (average sale to listing ration: 38%)
d.Online IP platforms (e.g. Tynax)
Companies offering the service of an online IP market designed to match buyer requirements with
sellers offerings. Revenue is achieved through commissions on completed transactions and
registration fees in case of Yet2.com.пЂ«Tynax lists over 10.000 patents for sale
пЂ«No acquisition of IP solely mediator

You may have heard that some elephants are going extinct, but did you know that Hawksbill
Turtles are critically endangered? Many people are informed about the more popular species that
are going extinct, but what about the ones who actually help us indirectly? The Hawksbill Turtles
are becoming extinct like many sea turtles for many reasons like, people will accidentally get their
net caught in the mouth or the body of a Hawksbill Turtle, people all around the world may also eat
their eggs and sell the stunning shell of a full grown turtle. Hawksbill turtles are essential to sustain
wildlife all around the world.
The World Wildlife Organization states that, Hawksbills help maintain the health of coral reefs.
As they remove prey such as sponges from the reef s surface, they provide better access for reef
fish to feed. These turtles help take care of the reefs the fish we eat live in, without them fish
would probably not have access to nearly as much food and would be eaten by prey on the
surface of the reef. Sea life getting stuck in fishing nets has been a problem in the past, so
minimizing that too would be ideal. Hawksbill ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The three main symptoms are an excessive amount of intake of food accompanied by self induced
vomiting, fasting and/or obsessive or compulsive exercise, and extreme concern with body weight
and shape. The recurrent binge and purge cycles can damage the entire digestive system and can
lead to electrolyte and chemical imbalances in the body that affect the heart and other major organ

failure and death, inflammation and possible rupture of the esophagus from frequent vomiting,
tooth decay and staining from stomach acids released, irregular bowel movements and
constipation. People struggling with bulimia nervosa usually appear to be of average body

They also face problems with psychological, environmental and biological issues in life. Since
there is no clear way to tell which of these factors is the culprit of causing eating disorders, each
factor needs to be looked at. Environmental factors is plays one of the biggest roles in eating

Military Draft No longer Necessary Essay
Military Draft No Longer Necessary
Over forty years has passed since the United States inducted the last draftee through the Selective
Service System. The Selective Service System is an independent agency of the United States,
which gives the President the right or power to conscript men for military service. There have
been different Acts passed by congress since 1917 that require men of various ages to register for
service. Although, the name of each Act and the age requirements of the registries changed, the
Acts were all similar in nature. They all gave the President the right to call men to war when he
deemed necessary. In January 1973, Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird announced the creation of
the all volunteer service, retracting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the conscription ended in 1973, the number of members has grown considerably over the
years. Men and women alike enlist for many different reasons; from educational purposes, for the
adventure, and/or other benefits the military has to offer. Many enlist just because they want to
defend and serve the country they live in and no other reason. However, all that do enlist want to
be there doing what they are doing, not because someone told them they have to. The armed forces
haven t had any problems recruiting, and are recruiting more than their goal. According to the
Department of Defense, they are recruiting anywhere from 100 to 105% of their goal each year.
Which leads to another reason we should not reinstate the draft, the draft is not needed because the
all volunteer forces have been successful in serving our country for over 40 years through both war
and peace. Melvin Laird, Secretary of Defense (1969 1973), stated in his article in the Washington
Post this past February that our volunteer forces have surpassed expectations and they have been
successful by every measure (Wahingtonpost.com). For more than a decade, the U.S. military has
been able to sustain combat in Iraq and Afghanistan while meeting other global responsibilities. The

The Battle Of Churchill As A Scapegoat For The Failure
As history unfolded, the Dardanelles offensive failed, but the ground invasion plans for
Gallipoli went ahead as planned. By the end of the campaign, massive amounts of lives had been
lost on the British side, and it was a decisive failure. Dardanelles and Gallipoli were very much a
prime example of something Churchill would do over and over again: see positives, but not
negatives or consequences, only possibilities. These campaigns were the end of Churchill
politically for a time, along with the Asquith government. Asquith was forced to form a wartime
coalition government with the Conservatives, who demanded the resignation of Churchill. While
Churchill became a scapegoat for the failure, while he did play some part in it, everyone had
seem to forgotten the roles of Asquith, Kitchener, and everyone else involved in the planning of
this military disaster. While he heavily mourned the loss of his position, Churchill moved on. He
journeyed to France, intent on returning to his soldier days. Sir John French offered him the
comfort post of an aid or a commander of a brigade at the front. Churchill chose the second option,
but only after he gained experience beforehand. He then chose to be assigned to the Grenadier
Guards, Second Battalion. This was his first true experience with the horrors of trench warfare. The
unit was eventually withdrawn and Churchill expected to get command of a brigade. Asquith later
crushes this, afraid of the consequences of giving the still despised

Uri Bronfenbrenner
In Family and Communities partnerships the discussions focused on Uri Bronfenbrenner s
ecological systems theory. Discussions of child development concentrated on how the microsystem,
mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem and the chronosystem affects children and their
development, and how these systems are directly responsible for the socialization of children.
The standard way of thinking about child development is that it depends on either nurture or nature.
However, as this class pointed out through an in depth study of Bronfenbrenner s theory, a child s
development and socialization happens over a series of systems. The text puts it this way, The

Performing Global Geographies Reading Response
Performing Global Geographies: Reading response
Through an analysis of the narratives of round the world travelers, the authors explore how
travelers weave together time, space, place and pace in a global journey around the world. Using
examples from the article explain how the itinerary plays a role in helping the travelers negotiate
the tension between time, space, and pace while at the same time reflecting certain cultural and
social assumptions about place.
The itinerary gives structure to the assumptions, anxieties and desires that travellers bring to a
round the world trip. Through the itinerary, travellers co ordinate the destinations they want to visit
alongside dozens of contingencies that factor into a round the world trip purchasing tickets,
applying for visas, allocating budgets, scheduling vaccinations, deciding what to pack and so on.
Itineraries emerge out of travellers negotiation of an assumed tension between space and time in
their performance of a global journey. In particular, these travellers worry about allocating their
limited time to enough destinations and to the right kinds of destinations to qualify as a round the
world trip.
The itinerary helps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

would like to go whole world and try not to miss some important places. Besides that, travellers
think they consume the world by consuming the time. It means travelers think they experienced the
place by spending time in there. Thus, travelers decide timing of places or time depends on the
uniqueness of the place. In this point, travelers are balancing the tension of time and place by

Los Angeles Riots Sociology
The Los Angeles riots in 1992 did not stem from the beating of Rodney King but stemmed from a
much larger problem. Individuals were frustrated with being placed in a social hierarchy based on
the color of their skin. The beating of Rodney King was the cherry on top for the bottled up
frustration people felt. In the United States, there is a social hierarchy, and the judicial system
works differently depending on where the individual is placed within the hierarchy. The riots were
a non constructive way to fight for equal rights within the judicial system, but many individuals
were fed up with society telling them where they should be placed. A social hierarchy has existed
since the beginning of time. The inner workings of the overabundance... Show more content on

Suppressing negative emotions can cause mental health concerns, but individuals with low
social power and low social status may use these strategies to avoid conflict (Langner, Social
Hierarchy And Depression: The Role Of Emotion Suppression ). The social hierarchy affects
mental health in part through a process of emotion suppression. It also does not help that some
scholars suggest that the more individuals aim at climbing the social hierarchy, the more society
s hierarchy gets strong (Bardoscia, The Social Climbing Game ). Pepi Leistyna states in her
Social Class and Entertainment television article that there are harsh realities that the poor and
working class of color face, but television and other media outlets show that the middle class is
open to everyone (Leistyna 3). The middle class has not been open to everyone, and the social
hierarchy that has been the unwritten law of where an individual is placed in society can explain
this. The hierarchy is not only destructive for individuals of color, but even European females and
European families who have not came from money. It is a frustrating reality that seems never to be
changing and only getting worse. The country is dividing into the two extremes. There is the rich
who are getting richer and the poor who are getting poorer. The majority of individuals who are

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Social Behavior
There are 3 basic research methods that social psychologists use to describe behaviors. Each of
these have both strengths and weaknesses. The observational method is done by observing and
collecting data which is then used to describe the behavior. The researcher observes the events in
a natural setting so none of the variables are manipulated. There must be interjudge reliability,
meaning that when different researchers administer the same test to the same subject they each
must obtain the same measurement. The advantages in this method is that it is the simplest
method, it has greater accuracy, and it is useful for setting up hypothesis. The weaknesses are
that this method is hard to observe because of privacy and secrecy. It is great for explanation but
not as good for prediction and description. The observer might also be biased being that he has
his own opinion on what is right and wrong. The correlation method focuses on prediction. It is a
statistical measure of two or more variables and the relation between them are assessed. The
Correlation coefficient assesses how well you can predict one variable from another. A positive
correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the increase of the
other variable. For example height and weight, the more one grows the more he will weigh. A
negative correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the decrease
of the other variable. An example is that the

been used for centuries, but the most unlikely aristocrats of society.
Over the years, as I have studied about Paganism and the different paths that came forth, I have
always had this feeling that when saying the term, So Mote it Be at the end of a ritual or spell,
was kind of like saying Amen . While I felt the two terms had a connections, I always felt that So
Mote it Be was a term that felt more familiar, that I had been saying it forever. With the term
having a similar meaning to Amen , it feels more grounded to me. Like saying it sends it out to the
four corners of the universe, and from there the universe can take what I have asked and use it as it
so pleases.
In today s modern Pagan and Wiccan society, the term is used abundantly. As I was researching

What is intimate partner violence? Intimate partner violence is when a partner is physical and
sexually abused. Intimate violence can occur among heterosexual or same sex couples. Twenty
seven percent of women and nearly 12% of men in the United States have experienced contact
sexual, violence, physical, or stalking by an intimate partner (Prevent Domestic Violencein Your

Domestic violence is a pattern of coercive and assaultive behaviors that include physical, sexual,
verbal, and psychological attacks and economic coercion that adults or adolescents use against
their intimate partner. (Ganley, 1996). Most people become violent in their relationship so that
they can have some kind of power or control. Or sometimes it might be that the partner has a short

Personal Perspective On The Disney Animated Film Aladdin

At first glance, the website home page for the Disney animated film Aladdin displays the

visual valor that draw in the user. This webpage has several different eye catching points within

on their magic carpet. My eye then goes to notice the sky in the background with the fiery colors
of red and yellow, creating the feeling of excitement, as well as creating a sun setting scene.
Then my eye is drawn to the big blue off to the side of the site with an enthusiastic facial

Jean Miller Essentialism In Relationships
When miller uses the term essentialist in her argument, I believe she means that it is universally
valid or generally accepted that boys and girls offer different things when it comes to friendship
(S C, 145). She also appears to be expressing that these males and females characteristics
contribute to their relationships. In my opinion, I do not think Miller is accurate in the way she
characterises boys, girls, men and women and their differences. I believe men and women offer
different things when it comes to friendship, however I consider these differences a result of social
construction rather than essentialism. I believe the way females and males act in their personal

When considering the quote Men and women can t be friends; sex always gets in the way. (S C,

time with but would never consider having a romantic relationship with. I believe friendship is a
companionship involving mutual trust, support and fairness between two or more people
regardless of their gender. I believe this idea persist because some individuals may have never
experienced an opposite sex friendship, therefore they do not understand how a male and female
can be friends without sexual intentions. I also believe this idea may persist because of individuals
negative past experiences trying to be friends with someone of the opposite sex but they wanted
more than friendship. I believe this experience may negatively impact someone s perception of
opposite sex friendships because they may believe it is inevitable that someone will eventually
develop feelings. However, while things of this nature may occur, there are many opposite sex

The Use Of Drug Induced Gingival Overgrowth
3.1Subtitle: Introduction
Gingival enlargement is the overgrowth of gingiva characterized by an expansion and accumulation
of the connective tissue with occasional presence of increased number of cells.
Drug induced gingival overgrowth is known as an adverse effect with three types of drug:
Phenytoin, an antiepileptic;
Cyclosporine A, an immunosuppressant; and
Calcium channel blockers, such as dihydropyridines (nifedipine), diltiazem, and verapamil,
which are widely prescribed for the treatment of various cardiovascular diseases.
п‚—This is characterized by an accumulation of extracellular matrix within the gingival connective
tissue, particularly the collagenous component, with various degrees of chronic inflammatory
inflammation. (Yamasaki, 1987)
п‚—It remains unknown why drugs with such different pharmacological actions induce similar
gingival overgrowth.
п‚—The genetically determined capacity of the host to deal metabolically with chronically
administered drugs, the responsiveness of gingival tissue to the drugs, and preexisting gingival
condition, including inflammation may, differ among individuals.
п‚—Although the pathology of drug induced gingival overgrowth is not definitively known
п‚—These disorders seem to be induced through the disruption of the homeostasis of collagen
synthesis and degradation in gingival connective tissues.

Public Governance And Internal Control
1.0Introduction Charities in the UK and in general have come through a lot of criticisms from
external stakeholders on the state of their ineffective accountability and transparency, which
portrays that charities do not comply with effective corporate governance and internal control
(CG+IC) in order to improve their performance and credibility. The research will pinpoint the
inadequacies of CG+IC, then evaluate how when applied effectively could contribute to charities
performance and aid credibility, which would in turn improve their income level. In order to

Charities have been involved in some areas previously envisaged as the state s responsibility, in so
doing, have created an active partnership with the government. This brought about a new wave of
change, from previously, when many of the earliest founded charities were funded by religious
groups, the nobility, or wealthy individuals, to help the neediest members of society. Presently,
charitable activities and jurisdiction in the provision of a wide range of services are funded mostly
by the state and the public. Some charities receive more funding from the state than from private
donors, (Brindle 2001); for example, The Children s Society, UNICEF UK, and Save the Children,
(mainly due to the purpose of their charitable activities). The consequences of this partnership have
caused the traditional boundaries in the public, private and voluntary sectors to eventually dissipate
(Blair, 2006). In the current economic ambience, many non profit organisations (NPO) are facing
funding cuts, as well as reduced voluntary donations. Others are facing reductions in income, whilst
the demand for their services continues to grow (Cornforth, 2012). As such, due to governmental

The Four Requirements Of A Valid Search Warrant
What are the four requirements of a valid search warrant?
The four requirements of a valid search warrant consist of probable cause, supporting oath or
affirmation, description of the place to be searched as well as items to be seized and the signature
of a magistrate. Probable case is more than a minimal suspicion that crime has already or about to
take place. Supporting oath or affirmation is an affidavit that is presented to a magistrate that
should not be only an officer s conclusion but full of facts from the case. This affidavit should have
enough facts that would enable the magistrate to make an independent evaluation. Every affidavit
should description the location that is going to be searched as well as the items that are going to be
seized. And lastly the search warrant must have the signature of a neutral and detached
magistrate. An example of a neutral and detached magistrate would be in the case of Connally v.
Georgia. In the case of Connally v. Georgia: the Justice of the Peace instead of a magistrate issued
the search warrants. The Justice of the peace would only be paid once he has issued a search warrant
so if he did not issue a search warrant he/she would not be paid. During Connally s trial the
defendant claimed that the Justice of the Peace was not neutral and detached since he was paid to
issue the warrant. According to Carmen The general rule is that a search or seizure is valid under

Whey protein is digested quickly because it is a leucine rich protein, and has a track record in
being more successful in synthesizing muscle protein in older populations than casein protein
which is digested more slowly (van Dijk et. al. 2016). Whey protein is given to D. melanogaster
flies rather than hemp or soy protein, because soy protein and hemp proteins are plant based
proteins while whey protein is from cows. Animal based proteins are easier to digest compared to
plant based proteins.
The study investigated the impacts of whey protein on two population groups that consisted of
young and old population of D. melanogaster because muscle damage could be simulated by age.
As people grow older, more damage in muscles occurs, and whey protein is expected to have a
greater effect. This effect is investigated in this experiment with D. melanogaster, where whey
protein improves muscle activity in older D. melanogaster.
D. melanogaster is a model organism in this experiment. A model organism is an organism which

Essay On The Spanish Colonies In The American Colonies
The Spanish, French, and English all established major settlements in North America in the
sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. In each colony, settlement revolved around different types of
trade: plantations and mining in New Spain, the fur trade in New France, and tobacco and the
family farm in British North America. There were many similarities among these countries
approaches to settling, but also enormous differences. New Spain The Spanish were the first
European country to establish significant colonies in the Americas. By the 1570s, the Spanish had
established roughly 200 cities and towns in the New World. They had also built many cathedrals,
as well as the first universities in the Americas. New Spain refers to Spanish colonies in North and
Central America and the Caribbean. At its height in 1795, New Spain included Mexico, Panama,
several Caribbean islands, and most of the United States west of the Mississippi River. In these

century, the Spanish established sugar plantations in the Americas. The Spanish considered using
Native Americans as their labor force but, eventually relied on slavery. Though American Indians

Fear Is Bad
Bad and Good at the Same Time
Fear, the only emotion in life that is fun and not fun at the same time to experience. This is what
makes it so interesting to mankind. To no surprise, anything that can induce this emotion is able
to sell, and sell quickly at that. Although you don t need to pay to experience this feeling, being
that life is scary all on its own, many people do. Roller coasters, scary stories, and horror based
video games are all popular examples of things people pay to go through. A trend of fearin life and
literature have come as a result of this common interest, combined with the natural events of
everyday life. Literature is a wonderful medium of delivering fear. From Gothic stories to science
fiction, fear has embraced

It`s true that strict rules and tight regulations are necessary they protect consumers, customer
safety, environment and other things. However sometimes it causes some burdens on businesses.
It always increases the cost of operations. Also turnaround time for repairs was highly critical and
cost for flight delay was extremely huge. Customers might be upset or even shift to other airlines
if delays caused them lose the connecting flights. Thus, the cost of aircraft delays was crucial
element in engineering. Bargaining power of supplier, difficulty to forecast demand and harsh
competitions were other important issues in aviation industry. As a result of tight aviation
regulations airline companies, as a customer, were constrained in supplier selection. Spare parts
solely supplied by only single dominated supplier as called OEM (original equipment supplier).
The limited choice and high concentration of OEM`s limited airline operators` negotiation power.
According to the M. Porter`s five force analysis aviation industry has low entrance barrier and it
cause very intensive competition between airlines operators. A few decades ago flying with airline
was very expensive for ordinary people but today everyone can benefit from this because airline
ticket prices have constantly and significantly fallen. Finally, demand forecasting was very difficult.
The forecast for spare parts is made based on maintenance information, scheduled maintenance plans
and past usage patterns. Even so,

Bilbo The Hobbit
Throughout stories, character always have a development and change. In the book the Hobbit by
J.R.R. Tolkien, Bilbo who is the main protagonist who goes through phases of metamorphosis in
the book. Biblo initially started as a daunty character, then transitioned to become a brave and
adventurous character by the end of the book. Bilbo develops into a brave and adventurous
character through the beginning of the book, Bilbo clearly is a simple, routine loving hobbit who
wants nothing more than to live his quiet life of his own home. He does not want to go on
adventures or risk missing his next meal. Until Gandalf Tricks Him to go to a Adventure. Then

He exhibits extreme bravery because he really does not want to confront Smaug, but he goes
anyway. He also discerns Smaug s vulnerable spot, where he will eventually be shot by Bard s
arrow. In addition After the Battle of Five Armies, Bilbo returns to his hobbit hole and to a life
very much like the one he left with some important differences. He has more money, having been
given a share of Smaug s hoard, and his life after he returns home is rather more eccentric than
before, a much more Tookish life. As Bilbo started off as a person who never wanted to leave his
own home and be a chicken until the end of the journey to being adventurous and brave. From
hobbiton to the troll he wasn t good at it first and just wanted to go home. Till the clash with
smaug and trying to keep his life at stake, making it out alive and with the group until there

Maternity Insurance Research Papers
Approximately sixteen percent of all females in the United States are without maternity insurance
coverage. In the event that they may become pregnant, these women could be confronted with an
overwhelming amount of medical expenses, particularly if they experience complications with their
pregnancy. In this article we will discuss a number of techniques on how to find low cost maternity
health insurancecoverage. Our goal is to help you find the right maternity insurance coverage to
help you save as much money as possible on your pregnancy.
What is the definition of maternity insurance?
Maternity insurance is individual health insurance coverage that includes an additional maternity
rider. As of January 2011, there are no stand alone maternity insurance plans. Many companies do
offer discount maternity programs. However, be very careful with these types of discount health
programs as they are not insurance plans and usually promise more than they ever deliver.
There are essentially two types of individual health insurance that you can purchase that offer
coverage for maternity: One type of health plan is known as an indemnity insurance plan. This
form of health plan will allow you to pick your own medical doctor and hospital. Because of this
freedom, an indemnity health plan can turn out ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This coverage is limited to the amounts defined in the maternity coverage rider. Make sure that you
take time to completely understand the maternity rider offered by an insurance company before you
make the decision to buy the insurance coverage. If you have insurance through your job, typically
known as group insurance, then the coverage is usually more comprehensive.

Pedagogy Vs Andragogy Paper
Pedagogy is defined as the art and science of educating children (Bethel University, 2013).
Andragogy is defined as the art and science of helping adults learn (Bethel University, 2013).
There are similarities of both Pedagogy and Andragogy. Both are ways of teaching and educating
people. A difference between the two is Pedagogyis a teacher focused educationsystem where the
teacher tells the student what, how and when materials will be learned, whereas Andragogy is a
learner based system where the student has more control over when and how materials are
learned(Bethel University, 2013). Pedagogy is geared more toward the teaching of children, and
Andragogy is a method of learningused by adults. In my opinion the pedagogical style of learning is
a traditional classroom setting where students are taught by a teacher... Show more content on

However, Researching online can be challenging due to all the information on the web(Bethel
University, 2013). One way of simplifying online research is to develop a strong research
strategy. A good strategy to use is answering the the general research topic question with the
paper you write(Bethel University, 2013). In order to answer your general topic question you
can use keywords and concepts to do your research and gather information for the paper. It is
always best to use scholarly articles while researching a topic. Scholarly articles are written by
experts and are fact based writings.(Bethel University, 2013) By using scholarly articles a student
will never have to worry about the information being false or inaccurate. Using online reference
books is also a good way to research online. Online reference books give a student a quick look at
authors and information related to the topic they are researching(Bethel University, 2013). The
online library is full of valuable information, and has plenty of ways for a student to get help with

Analysis Of John Was An American Comic Book Artist
John was an American comic book artist known for his work with EC Comic on Two Fisted
Tales and Frontline Combat, Marvel Comics on war and western comics, and a 45 year stint with
the magazine Cracked. He was also one of the founding artists of Mad in 1952. Severin was
insucted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2003 before passing away in 2012.
Severin s strongest aspects of this piece are framing, line work, and detail. The framing is
successful with the archway in the foreground of the environment. This black arch frames the
whole piece. Within the arch, the skeletons create a secondary framing device, calling attention to
the men on the stains. The immense detail in the skeletons allow them to work with the top arch ...

The black placement is almost nonexistent except for inside the building in the background. This
pulls the viewer to this spot, which is rather unimportant in the image, while the focus should be on
the woman.
This piece successfully utilizes hatching, black placement, and has reproduced a character who is
identifiable. The hatching in the cloak of the character shows directionality without becoming too
complicated can being distracting. The black placement in the cloak weights the character provides
ground for him and the mailbox to sit on. The reproduction of a character is sometimes difficult to
achieve without matching a certain style. Severin successfully achieves drawing Bilbo Baggins and
having him recognizable, despite the name on the mail box to push recognition. The weakest
aspect of the piece is acting. Bilbo is stiff, and white he is in the act of taking the mail out of the
mailbox, he breaks the fourth wall by looking at the viewer. It would be more successful acting if
he was looking at the action he was performing.
The strongest aspect of this piece is line direction. In the water they encircle the action, and in the
rocks they lead the viewer down into the water. They also aid in the creation of texture, rhythm,
pattern, and framing. The texture created by the lines in the water reflect ripples that would
actually occur in the real world.

The Franklin s Tale Social Class Marriage
Everybody has the desire to seek happiness and true love in marriages. Some may ask; how does
one attain such a desire? Throughout The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer explores the idea of how the
best marriages happen, and The Franklin s Tale seems to be the answer. During the 1300 s people
debated what factors were important in marriages. Some thought wealth, social class, and nobility
created the best marriage. Other than wealth and same social class marriage, each partner must keep
a promise to themselves and to each other. Through Arveragus and Dorigen s marriage and Dorigen
s promise to Aurelius, Chaucer examines that true loveis a key factor in a successful marriage, but
also brings the idea that oaths and same social class lead to a successful... Show more content on

When Arveragus leaves, Dorigen is full of misery, and despair. Her love of Arveragus is so
strong that it creates her to feel hatred toward nature. At other times she used to sit and think
/With eyes cast downward to the water s brink/And then her heart endured a thousand shocks/To
see such jagged, black and grisly rocks, (412). While Dorigen griefs, dark thoughts come to her
mind, and she loathes these black rocks that are on the coast. Why madest Thou thy work
unreasonable? These rocks can foster neither man nor beast.....Lord, seest Thou not how they
destroy mankind? (413). Dorigen questions G d of his intentions to make such jagged, black and
grisly rocks . She believes that they destroy mankind because of her fear that the rocks will hit
Arveragus ship, and he will not make it back home. Dorigen makes a promise to Aurelius that if
he destroys all the rocks along the coast, she will love him. However, if being separated from
loved ones can create such detestation towards nature, perhaps the rocks were never there, and
were an illusion caused by Dorigen s worry about Arveragus. It s immensely interesting why
Chaucer would choose rocks to produce one of Dorigen s fear during The Franklin s Tale , and

Alice s Journey to Find Her Identity
Lewis Carroll s Alice s Adventures in Wonderland is a story of a young girl s journey down the
rabbit hole into a fantasy world where there seems to be no logic. Throughout Alice s Adventures
in Wonderland, Alice experiences a variety of bizarre physical changes, causing her to realize she
is not only trying to figure out Wonderland but also trying to determine her own identity. After
Alice arrives in Wonderland the narrator states, For this curious child was very fond of pretending
to be two people (Lewis Carroll, Alice s Adventures in Wonderland 12). This quotation is the first
instance that shows Alice is unsure of her identity. The changes in size that take place when she
eats or drinks are the physical signs of her loss of identity.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

From the moment she sees the White Rabbit taking his watch from his waistcoat pocket, Alice
tries to understand the logic of Wonderland. None of the rules that she has been taught seem to
apply in Wonderland. The characters in Wonderland have no sense of manners and respond to
her questions with answers that make no sense. For example, the Mad Hatter asks the questions,
Why is a raven like a writing desk? (Alice 51). Alice assumes he is asking a riddle and she begins
to try to answer it, thinking the Hatter would not ask a riddle without knowing the answer.
When Alice is unable to figure out the riddle, the Hatter explains that there is no answer. He
does not explain why he asked the riddle, he simply says, I haven t the slightest idea (Alice 53).
In which Alice replies, I think you might do something better with the time, than waste it in
asking riddles that have no answers (Alice 53). The Hatter then responds with a lecture on Time,
which he depicts as a person. Time being depicted as a person makes no logical sense to Alice.
In the end, Alice rebels during the trial scene when the King said Rule Forty two. All persons
more than a mile high to leave the court (Alice 88). Alice objects to the absurd nature of the trial
saying, Who cares for you? You re nothing but a pack of cards! (Alice 91). This final scene is the
end of her dream, and she wakes up with her head in her sister s lap. During Alice s journey
through Wonderland

Patrick Bateman s Use Of Dramaturgy In American Psycho
Introduction Dramaturgy, or impression management, is the conscious effort an individual puts
forth when trying to present a certain impression of himself to others. This is used in things like
job interviews in order to highlight certain aspects that one might want others to perceive more
vividly. There are also two types of self presentation as well. There is tactical, as just discussed, and
then there is authentic. The authentic self is when someone is using his or her own genuine
personality. This often requires no thinking in how one should act or portray. In contrast to the job
interview using a tactical self presentation, the authentic presentation would be when an individual
is associating with friends or close family. The individual s actions are free flowing and he can feel
relaxed. Furthermore, there are several components to dramaturgy. There are frontstage and
backstage moments, authentic and tactical self, in face and out of face moments, non observance,
tact, and sign vehicles. All of these come together to form the performance and give off an... Show

Bateman s real self is hidden away, except for a few instances in which his authentic self comes
forth and he becomes out of face. Patrick Bateman suffers from disturbing thoughts and is a
psychopath when left to his own self or not under the surveillance of others. In public, Bateman
gives off the impression of a successful vice president of a large investment firm. Bateman must
portray a certain image of himself, his in face, because of what is expected of him. When Bateman
steps outside this image, when he becomes out of face, others often try to correct him or act like
nothing happened in order to keep social interactions running smooth and according to plan. The
several components of dramaturgy will be further discussed in

The Police Chief Placed A Picture Of The Serial Black Widow
The police chief placed a picture of the serial black widow murderer in front of me and my throat
constricted. They were scheduled to get married in less than a week and there was no evidence
to take convinces the bridegroom to call off the wedding let alone delay the nuptials. That old
saying that it is always the last person you would ever expect? Well, there was no way in hell
did I see this one coming. Of all the times to think about Tessa and how sad she had looked to tell
me her parents had received a job offer and she would have to move away. If it wasn t for her
kissing me that day, I doubt I would ve had the nerve to make the first move. Now that I thought
about it, this was actually the perfect time to remember that and one other little thing about my
pass. However, she wasn t in the category of things I wish I could forget. I was not what you
would call a very popular kid. You could say I was at the very far end of the popularity hierarchy.
Actually, I was at the bottom. My mother had seen one too many shows about how to raise a star.
Soon there were piano lessons, singing lessons, and worse of all ballet lessons. Oh, but my father
did as best he could and I started taking classes in magic. I doubt there is no greater embarrassment
than participating in the school s annual talent show and your mother is your sexy assistant that is
supposed to divert the audience s attention. I had to admit, there was one thing that came out of that

  • 2. Summary Of The March Of Washington Speech In the speech that took place during the March of Washington, the speaker John Lewis argues in favor of African American rights. Lewis purpose when delivering the speech was to make people aware of the difficulties that African Americans are going through at that time as well as to encourage them to fight for their rights that they deserve. Lewis maintains a serious and agitated tone that helps persuade the audience into realizing the hardships that African Americans must go through on a daily basis because they do not have rights and uses a series of rhetorical strategies that help strengthen his point. John Lewis represented the people that were prohibited to have their rights, and when giving the speech, he hopes to create a difference not only in the world but also within the people themselves. John Lewis begins his remarks by revealing his attitude that civil rights leaders should not congratulate themselves yet and that there is still a long road before African Americans have true freedom. To immediately complicate the notion of being satisfied with the progress of the civil rights movement that other speakers proclaimed, he announces, We march today for jobs and freedom, but we have nothing to be proud of (para 1). The essence of Lewis argument is that the leaders of the civil rights movement are marching for workplace fairness and equality for African Americans, but they should not stop and congratulate themselves. Significantly, this opening statement reveals ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay on A Role for Religion in Public Service A Role for Religion in Public Service ABSTRACT: In this paper I discuss recent scholarly work on ideology, mostly by Europeans, that exposes a secularist bias in current political theory, invites a nonderogatory concept of religion, and (I argue) justifies more flexible church/state relations. This work involves (1) redefining ideology as any action oriented ideas, whether destructive or ameliorative, including both secular theory and religion, then (2) drawing on hermeneutical and critical studies of the power/ideology relationship to rediscover a role for utopia as a social catalyst for amelioration. I then call attention to the relevance of mission to this work. For in both secular and sacred contexts, missions are defined and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This reconsideration involves two phases. First ideology is redefined as any action oriented ideas whether destructive or ameliorative including both secular theory and religion. Then hermeneutical and critical studies of the power/ideology relationship help us rediscover the role of utopia as a social catalyst for amelioration. As exemplified by Newspeak in George Orwell s Nineteen Eighty Four: destructive ideology is used not to convey information but to provide a truth indifferent rationale for institutional policies and practices. Such obfuscation has been a government staple, not just in the former Soviet Union but in the West as well, where governments have misrepresented their coercive activities as fending off bandits earlier in the twentieth century and terrorists more recently. What matters for my purposes is that one might similarly appeal to religious beliefs to justify pursuing a goal that is not obviously religious at all.(1) Special terminology is needed, then, to distinguish religious beliefs from mobilized religion. For this purpose some writers(2) use the term worldview (in German, Weltanschauung), and others rely on ideology. Worldview encompasses both religious and secular beliefs, as does visionof the world or mentality, which some historians favor.(3) But none of these implies a call to action. The term ideology , though action oriented, tends to be associated only with nonreligious ideas. But some ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Children Are Different From Adults The first way that children are different from adults is that they are more likely to get sick and injured. The second way that children are different from adults is that they spend more time outside. The third way that children are different from adults is that they need help from adults in emergencies. The fourth way that children are different from adults is that they put their hands in their mouth more often than adults. The fifth way that children are different from adults is that it takes a while for them to understand something vs. an adult who can understand something instantly. The sixth way that children are different from adults is that they don t have to worry about paying any bills. The seventh way that children are different from adults is that they can t drive a car. The eighth way that children are different from adults is that they don t work or have a job. The ninth way that children are different from adults is that they most likely don t have to do any chores since their young. The tenth way that children are different from adults is that they are self centered. 2.) There was only one thing that I listed in the way children and adults think. I mentioned that it takes a while for children to understand something vs. an adult who can understand something instantly. The reason why is because adults have a better knowledge because their much older and mature. I think my list included mostly other things in the way children and adults think because when ... • 5. Maya Angelu Speech A Brave Woman Around 10,000 people including four US presidents attended the six hour funeral of civil rights (Waldron, 2006, p.7): Coretta Scott King. King was an outspoken opponent of injustices ranging from capitol punishments to apartheid in South Africa (Goodman, 2008). She was a great supporter of everyone s rights. King was a brave woman who went through lots of hard challenges in her life and somehow always found a way to get up and keep moving forward to continue her fight for justice. Coretta had many speakers at her funeral (Waldron, 2006, p.7), but one that really stood out was her best friend Maya Angelou. Maya Angelou was an esteemed poet, author, dancer, actress, and singer who was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 4, 1928 (Behr, 2014). In the eulogy that was published in 2008 Angelou talked about the beliefs of King, the human beings she cared for, and memorable moments they spent together. She gave a very effective speech, starting off by singing in a way that connected with her audience, used pathos, and humor. One reason Angelou s speech was effective was through the connection she made with her audience. Angelou opened and closed her speech by bursting heartily and soulfully into what sounded like a hymnal song. (Angelou, 2008) The musical addition added a spiritual element to not just her talk, but to the entire funeral. It was a church song that not only connected to the religious people, but everyone else in the audience. For instance, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Company s competitors would like to take a look at intellectual property: new product ideas or final designs, development plans, business data like pricing, cost analysis, sales, advertising budget or strategic planning data and project bidding data (Andrijcic, Horowitz, 2006). Statistically, US$400 is spent by the international economy on cyber crime every year (Gabel, 2015). Besides, in 2013 alone, around 3,000 American firms were attacked by cyber criminals. Two high profile, major players in American retailer industry Target and Home Depot suffered from being compromised. In some other firms, hackers stole money from accounts, engaged in industrial espionage. Even worse, for some unluckily organisations, these hackers even took over the systems completely and requested for ransom money. 4.1.3. This can be seen in the increase of patent application and granting. Contrary to the growing IP assets, the market for IP was still con sidered small and illiquid. Obstacles hindering the uptake of the IP market are: High search and transaction costs for both sides, seller and buyer: There is no transparent mar ket providing fair value estimates such as ebay.com where inventors or patent owners can look for a market for their IP rights. • 15. Hawkbill Turtle Research Paper You may have heard that some elephants are going extinct, but did you know that Hawksbill Turtles are critically endangered? Many people are informed about the more popular species that are going extinct, but what about the ones who actually help us indirectly? The Hawksbill Turtles are becoming extinct like many sea turtles for many reasons like, people will accidentally get their net caught in the mouth or the body of a Hawksbill Turtle, people all around the world may also eat their eggs and sell the stunning shell of a full grown turtle. Hawksbill turtles are essential to sustain wildlife all around the world. The World Wildlife Organization states that, Hawksbills help maintain the health of coral reefs. There have been different Acts passed by congress since 1917 that require men of various ages to register for service. • 19. The Battle Of Churchill As A Scapegoat For The Failure As history unfolded, the Dardanelles offensive failed, but the ground invasion plans for Gallipoli went ahead as planned. By the end of the campaign, massive amounts of lives had been lost on the British side, and it was a decisive failure. Dardanelles and Gallipoli were very much a prime example of something Churchill would do over and over again: see positives, but not negatives or consequences, only possibilities. These campaigns were the end of Churchill politically for a time, along with the Asquith government. Asquith was forced to form a wartime coalition government with the Conservatives, who demanded the resignation of Churchill. While Churchill became a scapegoat for the failure, while he did play some part in it, everyone had seem to forgotten the roles of Asquith, Kitchener, and everyone else involved in the planning of this military disaster. While he heavily mourned the loss of his position, Churchill moved on. He journeyed to France, intent on returning to his soldier days. Sir John French offered him the comfort post of an aid or a commander of a brigade at the front. Churchill chose the second option, but only after he gained experience beforehand. He then chose to be assigned to the Grenadier Guards, Second Battalion. This was his first true experience with the horrors of trench warfare. The unit was eventually withdrawn and Churchill expected to get command of a brigade. Asquith later crushes this, afraid of the consequences of giving the still despised ... The itinerary gives structure to the assumptions, anxieties and desires that travellers bring to a round the world trip. Through the itinerary, travellers co ordinate the destinations they want to visit alongside dozens of contingencies that factor into a round the world trip purchasing tickets, applying for visas, allocating budgets, scheduling vaccinations, deciding what to pack and so on. • 25. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Social Behavior There are 3 basic research methods that social psychologists use to describe behaviors. Each of these have both strengths and weaknesses. The observational method is done by observing and collecting data which is then used to describe the behavior. The researcher observes the events in a natural setting so none of the variables are manipulated. There must be interjudge reliability, meaning that when different researchers administer the same test to the same subject they each must obtain the same measurement. The advantages in this method is that it is the simplest method, it has greater accuracy, and it is useful for setting up hypothesis. The weaknesses are that this method is hard to observe because of privacy and secrecy. It is great for explanation but not as good for prediction and description. The observer might also be biased being that he has his own opinion on what is right and wrong. The correlation method focuses on prediction. It is a statistical measure of two or more variables and the relation between them are assessed. The Correlation coefficient assesses how well you can predict one variable from another. A positive correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the increase of the other variable. For example height and weight, the more one grows the more he will weigh. A negative correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the decrease of the other variable. An example is that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She was too tired to deal with anything whether it was working at her job or dealing with her boyfriend. Thus her overriding emotion for her life before being institutionalized was exhaustion. Her great loss of energy even played a role in how quick she was sent to McLean. As when she first went to meet the physician who later sends her to the psychiatric hospital in a taxi she thinks about escaping from his office (Kaysen 8). Although just the effort that it would take to move her body and escape affected her ability to move as her depression left her exhausted mentally and physically. • 36. The Four Requirements Of A Valid Search Warrant What are the four requirements of a valid search warrant? The four requirements of a valid search warrant consist of probable cause, supporting oath or affirmation, description of the place to be searched as well as items to be seized and the signature of a magistrate. Probable case is more than a minimal suspicion that crime has already or about to take place. Supporting oath or affirmation is an affidavit that is presented to a magistrate that should not be only an officer s conclusion but full of facts from the case. This affidavit should have enough facts that would enable the magistrate to make an independent evaluation. Every affidavit should description the location that is going to be searched as well as the items that are going to be seized. And lastly the search warrant must have the signature of a neutral and detached magistrate. An example of a neutral and detached magistrate would be in the case of Connally v. Georgia. In the case of Connally v. Georgia: the Justice of the Peace instead of a magistrate issued the search warrants. The Justice of the peace would only be paid once he has issued a search warrant so if he did not issue a search warrant he/she would not be paid. During Connally s trial the defendant claimed that the Justice of the Peace was not neutral and detached since he was paid to issue the warrant. According to Carmen The general rule is that a search or seizure is valid under the Fourth Amendment only if made with a warrant. Searches without ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Whey protein is digested quickly because it is a leucine rich protein, and has a track record in being more successful in synthesizing muscle protein in older populations than casein protein which is digested more slowly (van Dijk et. al. 2016). Whey protein is given to D. melanogaster flies rather than hemp or soy protein, because soy protein and hemp proteins are plant based proteins while whey protein is from cows. Animal based proteins are easier to digest compared to plant based proteins. The study investigated the impacts of whey protein on two population groups that consisted of young and old population of D. melanogaster because muscle damage could be simulated by age. As people grow older, more damage in muscles occurs, and whey protein is expected to have a greater effect. This effect is investigated in this experiment with D. melanogaster, where whey protein improves muscle activity in older D. melanogaster. D. melanogaster is a model organism in this experiment. A model organism is an organism which is easy to study because it is cheap, reproduces easily and quickly, and the workings of it can lead us to understand how other organisms work. By giving whey protein supplements to D. melanogaster and observing the effects, it can provide understanding as to how a similar amount of whey protein can affect humans. Of ...
