• A company that owns many other companies that distribute
content in the fields of, television, radio, film and of course
internet.
What is meant by distribution?
• The spread of a product across the marketplace

3. Examples of Media Industries
Disney
Founded on the 16th October 1923 this US company
make a gross revenue of $55,632,000. They
distribute music, film television and more. You may
know many of their popular films like ‘Snow white
and the seven dwarfs’ and ‘Sleeping beauty’
Universal Studios
Founded on the 30th of April 1912. This is also an
American company that not only produce films they
also sign artists to their record label, they made a
revenue of $1.552 bil in 2012.

This company also works with Vibe
magazine, one of the big hip hop
magazines being printed currently.

5. Who will distribute my magazine?
I have concluded I would like townsquare Media to distribute my
magazine because they distribute magazines to subcultures with
smaller audiences
