HOW DOES YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT
REPRESENT
PARTICULAR
SOCIAL GROUPS?
My magazine has a young artist on the
front cover. The artist has a smirk look
on his face making him look serious but
still smiling.
In this photo the artist is wearing a black
hat and a black hoodie which suits the
look and feel of the magazine.
The hat makes his eyes just visible so
you can see him looking at the camera
which makes his facial expression look
better.
The photo is not a straight on shot but
still has the facial expression to make it
look relaxed but still like a serious
magazine.
SOCIAL GROUPS
People in grime are made to look serious and confronting,
they normally wear dark coloured clothing and hats. They
aren’t made to stand out with hair cuts etc, instead they wear
street clothes and follow a street fashion.
My model is wearing a black hoodie with a black hat that
says ‘gang’ on it. Street social groups are seen as ‘gangs’ so
the hat identifies the genre easily.
