Eulogy About Land
Hello, my family I are from Sweden and our occupation are farmers so we have a little bit of land here
and wished that we can have more space to plant our crops. So anyways, I am a mother with a
husband and 3 children. My husbands name is Larry and he is great at protecting all of us. I have two
sons named Jason and Tom, and a daughter named Heather who is 10 years old. Jason is the older
brother of Tom and Heather, but Jason is 14 years old, Tom is 10 years old, like the same age as
Heather. We are moving west to Oregon because I heard there is more land and there is a lot of space
to build our house, space to build a barn for our oxen, and we will have enough space to plant our
crops. I thought it will be great someday, so we can sell ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sense of adventure and I m glad there is no malaria. Plus we were on foot with no food or water. Well
from the start, there is some traffic jams and we have trouble controlling our animals because they
may be wild and wanted to run around where they want. There are a few accidents, some fell out of
the wagons and fell into the wagon wheels. It doesn t look okay and I feel sad that the guy got his head
crushed. Therefore some of them went hunting and one accidentally shot a man and he went down and
collapsed bleeding on the grass, I wish it didn t happen because the children got scared that the man
died. I feel bad for him. Some days became storming with lightning or hail. It was getting us wet and
the hail is falling on our heads, so I bring the young children inside so they won t get hurt from the
falling hail. For the people who died are buried in shallow graves and they are deep down in the
ground. Later on, we all found buffalo, millions and millions of them, some men went hunting for
Buffalo for a sport. Sometimes in the night, we all went camping, we got to circle the wagons and trap
our animals is so they won t escape running around. All of us traveled 15 miles in 6 months. We slept
on the ground with our blankets and pillows, but it is dirty so in the morning I will clean the clothes so
are people will be clean with clean clothes. In the morning, we all eat breakfast with bacon, we also
ate bacon in lunch and dinner time. Well, we like to eat bacon raw because I thought that we won t
enough time to cook it with the fire we lit up, that might take a long time to cook. Like if we have time

Rhetorical Analysis Of Russian President V. Putin
In so called Crimean speech in March 2014 Russian President V. Putin used such terms as divided
nation , national traitors , Russian world , justifying and legitimizing Russia taking over Crimean
peninsula. President V. Putin applied mostly to the Russian people concerned by protection of
compatriots abroad from discrimination or even repressions and historical injustice needed to be
repaired. But does Kremlin really believe in this or it uses this rhetoric just to explain Russian
involvement to the neighbor s inner situation? The right answer on this question will make us to
understand true Russian foreign policy motivation in Ukraine and Baltic states. Knowing what is

The Election Sociology
How Sociology Influenced the Election
On November 8, 2016, the United States was filled with mixed emotions from the outcome of the
presidential election. For many, the results of the election were shocking because the candidates in this
election were so different. The final votes were very close, but the results showed that Donald Trump
would be the next President of the United States. When looking at the election, people focus on the
how many votes their candidate received. However, many people do not look past just the vote itself.
By this I mean, they do not realize the sociological concepts that play into the election. By looking at
the election from a sociologists standpoint, there are many other important factors that contribute ...

Sociology defines education as the social institution through which society provides its members with
important knowledge, including basic facts, job skills, and cultural norms and values (Macionis 467).
This platform is very important for all parties because it impacts the future of America, and the
education in America is held to a high standard. When the voting data was broken down into different
amounts of education per vote, the results were close. The data showed that 51 percent of people who
had a high school degree or less, and 52 percent of people who had at least some college voted for
Trump. The rest of the votes for Hillary came from 49 percent of college graduates and 58 percent of
postgraduates. To further this data, it was compared to race and gender. The results showed that race
over powered education, and that there were more white college graduates and whites with no degrees
that voted for Trump. When this data was compared to gender, it showed that white educated women
were the outliers. In other words, white college graduates who are women all voted for

Durf Epilogue
Janden sat Gaurn and Durf at a table near the bar and door. That put as much distance between them
and the strangers as possible, so each group could talk more comfortably. Then he brought three large
bowls of stew, two ales, and a cup of yak s milk for Durf. The yak stew had large chunks of meat and
vegetables in a thick gravy. It made a satisfying meal that came with a side of conversation; albeit,
little of it included Durf. Besides, it was much the same conversation as any other day. Eventually, the
talk came back to the strangers.
No good guessing. It s time I got more about those two. Janden got up and walked to the back with
three pairs of eyes following him. He heard the noise of Gaurn easing himself away from the table.

We wander where we please. Annoyance showed on Kibby s face and in his voice and passed like an
ephemeral snowflake on water. He affected the smile and tone of innocence. We re just peaceful
wayfarers. Our apologies if we have offended. He stood, made a show of examining a gold piece,
reach his hand out as if expecting to deposit the coin into Janden s hand. Janden stood still ignoring
the gesture. Well, if that s your way, we shall leave. He tossed the coin on the table where it rolled and
fell into the reeds on the floor. A satisfied smile flashed on his face. For your trouble. No doubt it s
more than you d see in a year. He and Slagg picked up their gear and headed for the door. Kibby
turned back. We ll come around to teach you courtesy one day soon. He and Slagg laughed as they
went through the door.
Janden felt his face redden and his jaw and fists clench. He struggled with his anger. The Stonefoot, a
warrior clan, believed striking out in anger or provoking someone to be shameful and a sign of
weakness. His honor hung on controlling his emotions as much as his courage. The proper action was

The Racist Movement
To what extent was the rise of the fascist movement between 1919 1922 due to Mussolini?
The rise of the fascist movement between 1919 1922 was largely due to Mussolini himself. It is
worthwhile to examine the consequences of government inefficiency, the growth of the socialist
movement, the support of others as an enabling factor, but his leadership allowed the fascist party to
be relevant, and to take advantage of these other conditions. Though trasformismo and socialism did
destabilise Italian society, it was nevertheless Mussolini who offered solutions; though he assumed
control of the country through Victor Emmanuel s assent, it was him who created alliances to maintain
the position. Thus, Mussolini s opportunist outlook and his command ... Show more content on

In the countryside, the Labour Leagues, a form of rural trade union, was powerful enough to take
control of local governments in areas such as Tuscany and Emilia. In response, the squadristi attacked
the socialist leagues, encouraged by landowners and large farmers, natural supporters of the fascist
movement. By late 1920, landlords and industrialists even began paying for their terror, thus providing
financial support for the fascist party. As a result, right wing violence became tolerated and
normalised, allowing it to breach Italian society. Inevitably, Mussolini s leadership once again proved
to be significant, though he was not directly in control of their activity. He took credit for their role as
protectors, and shifted the position of the fascist programme to be more conservative, in accordance to
the public mood. His pragmatic attitude meant that the fascist programme was less important than its
spirit the heroes and defenders against the red threat . Middle class voters also had cause to support
fascism in its new direction, since the government was perceived to be too lenient with socialism an
example being the Occupation of the Factories in September 1920. In fact, anyone who owned
property, or was better off than an urban worker found appeal in fascism, as it now represented anti
communism, patriotism, but above all, action. It is true that the ras had more direct control of the
squadristi, but Mussolini was the leader who united their causes to take advantage of the socialist
threat that divided Italian society by widening the fascist

Final Reflection For Research Paper

Technology is often used for the wrong reasons in the classroom. Teachers find a new idea and jump
on the technology band wagon without considering if this is the best use for the digital tool. When
planning lessons using technology, consideration needs to made as to how the tool will enhance the
lesson or will it just be an added feature.
I love the challenge of new technology and am always on the lookout for ways to engage students in
my classroom. I do have a strong background with technology but found new tidbits to add to my
repertoire when using the Google Apps. Since most of my information was gained through my own
investigation, it was helpful to dig deeper into what Google offers. When integrating any new
applications into the classroom, digital citizenship is an essential building block. Students need to
respect technology and connecting with others the same way we do face to face. This is critical when
working collaboratively in a Google doc or slideshow. Netiquette needs to be modeled and taught. I
appreciated lessons on copyright included in this course. We spend several lessons going over what
copyright means, how to find fair use images, and how to cite their sources. ... Show more content on

The Catcher In The Rye Essay
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger is about a boy named Holden Caulfield and his struggle with
life. Like any other teenager, he is simply looking for his place in the world. However, it is shown that
Holden is no ordinary teenager for he displays many signs of depression. His depression seems to
escalate throughout the novel. For example, many nights he has trouble sleeping, he also is quite the
alcoholic and a heavy smoker, he doesnt feed his body with the proper nutrients and he talks of
committing suicide at various points in the novel. Holden feels he has been alienated his whole life
and that after losing his brother Allie, there was really no place for him anywhere. Holden Caulfield is
a complex character that is in need of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last time Id eaten was those two hamburgers I had with Brossard and Ackley when we went in to
Agerstown to the movies. That was a long time ago. It seemed like fifty years ago.(105) Although
Holden is aware that he hasnt eaten in quite some time, he just hasnt felt hungry. Holdens nutrition is
just all over the place. His depression has forced him to do crazy things. For example, after a night of
drinking Holden says, I puked before I went to bed, but I didnt really have to I forced myself.(90) This
shows that Holden is hurting his body in defiantly more ways than one. Holden is also aware that he is
somewhat depressed due to his lousy feelings and inability to eat much of anything. Holden is on a
walk when he says, Id feel better if I had something to eat. So I went in this very cheap looking
restaurant and had doughnuts and coffee. Only, I didnt eat the doughnuts. I couldnt swallow them too
well. The thing is if you get very depressed about something, its hard as hell to swallow.(196) This
just goes to show that Holden is very depressed and it effects the way he handles simple tasks such as
eating. Even though he is aware of his depression, Holden does not speak of seeing a psychiatrist for
serious issues such as his malnutrition even though he should really see one.
An obvious sign of Holdens depression is the fact that he talks of committing suicide at various points
of the novel. Every time Holden is feeling really lousy he would

Artists Most Closely Associated with Snyder County, PA
The artists that are today most closely associated with Snyder County are: The Reverend George
Geistweite, Henry Young, and Francis Portzline. There are others like Frederick Kuster, Johann
Conrad Trevits, Daniel Diefenbach, and Daniel Otto who probably never lived or worked within the
geographical confines of what is today Snyder County, but were close enough to produce work for
local families and influenced and were influenced by the works of others within this region. Also,
some important artists from the area have never been identified and are known only because of their
specific style or families for whom they created documents. The Union County Scrivener who seems
to have worked entirely in what is today Snyder County, The Spigelmeyer Artist, and The Augusta
Township Artist are just a few that fall into this latter category. Other artists produced works for local
families, but often they fall into a group of itinerates who traveled about the state looking for families
who wanted their Bibles brought up to date or documents created for a specific event. In the fall of
1977 Elizabeth Bryding Adams published an article on Henry Young in the Pennsylvania German
Society journal, Der Reggeboge. The article included 152 of his recorded works and was used as the
catalogue for an exhibition on Young at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Center in

The Characteristics Of Oligopolies
An oligopoly is a market structure characterized by; few firms either standardized or differentiated
products, and difficult entry. A key characteristic of oligopolies is that each firm can affect the market,
making each firm s choices dependent on the choices of the other firms. These are known as
interdependent. Oligopolies are made up of a small number of mutually interdependent firms. Each
firm must take into account the expected reaction of other firms.
The importance of interdependence is that it leads to strategic behaviour. Strategic behavior is the
behavior that occurs when what is best for one company depends upon what the other company does,
and vice verse. Oligopolistic behavior includes both ruthless competition and cooperation.
Oligopolies can be collusive or non collusive. Firms may engage in strategic decision making where
each firm takes explicit account of a rival s expected response to a decision it is making
The cartel model is when a combination of firms acts as if it were a single firm and a monopoly price
is set.
The contestable market model is a model of oligopolies where barriers to entry and exit, not market
structure, determine price and output ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Montague Motors and Japan Direct.
Key Notes to remember about the Kinked Demand Curve are:
Firms are profit maximisers
If one firm increases price, other firms won t follow suit. Therefore, for a price increase demand is
price elastic.
If one firm cuts price, other firms will follow suit because they don t want to lose market share.
Therefore, for a price cut, demand is price inelastic.
This is how you get the kinked demand curve.
Furthermore, the kinked demand curve has limitations. It does not explain how the price was arrived
at in the first place. The firms may also engage in price

important supplier systems.
Geely entered into auto manufacturing business in 1997, and is today a fully integrated independent

Additionally, through acquisition, enterprise can be benefited with reduced industry rivalry and
increased market power to bargain down the input price over suppliers and raise up the selling price to
buyers. In contrast, there are challenges associated with acquisition. The biggest challenge in the
international acquisition is how to deal with inter culture difference. Overestimating the economic
benefits also contributes to the failure to increase profitability.
By taking over Volvo, Geely can own a lot of advanced exclusive technologies, and patents, which is
top in the field of automotive safety, energy conversation and environment protection and also can
improve its image and competitive force over its rivals to achieve larger customer base and superior
profitability, and that Geely will help Volvo reduce production costs and expand in the China market.
But Geely are also worried, because they are not sure if they can manage Volvo Cars successfully.
Geely and Volvo are two companies incorporating two different cultures and operating within different
national backgrounds. Geely s cars are made for common people, and the company lacks popularity
outside China due to failure to meet safety and environmental regulations of some Western countries.

How Rococo and Neoclassicism Illustrate the Process of Deciding in their Paintings
The artists Jean Honore Fragonard and Jaques Louis David both successfully embody their respective
stylistic differences. Fragonard s style of painting is Rococo, which is characterized by its softness,
asymmetry and curviness. Contrasting these ideals is David s style of painting, Neo Classicism. Neo
Classicism is synonymous with strong gestures, symmetry, and solidness. Two works that best
exemplify the ideals of each style of painting are Fragonard s The Swing, 1767 and David s The Death
of Socrates, 1787. Although at first glance, it is easier to focus on how each work is different to the
other, one can argue that they are similar in theme. Both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The colors used in The Swing are soft pastel like colors that best illustrate the painting s femininity.
The masculine ideals imposed by Neo Classicism are even evident in David s use of color. The colors
presented in his work are solid, which suggest a male s ability at making a solid and just decision. On
the other hand, the colors used in The Swing are not pure but mixed. Mixing red, yellow, and white
probably created the shade of pink in the young woman s dress. This lack of purity conveyed in the
colors of The Swing makes it clear to the viewer that a female s decision lacks solidness as well as
clarity. The forms used in the painting also illustrate how the process of deciding is dependant upon
which style of art is representing the process. As we continue to utilize this theme of femininity versus
masculinity, we can see how the composition of each painting depicts each contrast. The Swing places
the viewer inside an outdoors setting that is clearly soft, curvy, and feminine. The Death of Socrates
takes place in an indoor setting marked by its attention to geometry, straight lines, and 90 degree
angles. When looking at the setting in Fragonard s work, we can see that there is no sense of order or
structure, the same that are conveyed in David s The Death of Socrates. This lack of order or structure
was used by the Neo Classicist to repudiate Rococo. By giving their form of art

Examples Of Trickery In Much Ado About Nothing
Trickery and Deceit In Much Ado About Nothing by W. Shakespeare he uses trickery and deceit to get

This story will prove to you that not always trickery and deceit is evil and leads to bad things
happening. There are many instances of trickery and deception, starting with Don John, who plays an
essential role for nearly all lies. Benedick and Beatrice at the beginning of the story have a merry war.

One might believe that marketing strategies are interchangeable within countries throughout the
world; however, one must carefully consider the cultural and economic disparities between those
countries. Computer tablets vary in price, performance, available applications, and durability. For
example, what one might find inexpensive in the United States could be a month s salary in another.
The primary use of a computer tablet in Mexico is Facebook, while in China it is gaming. Moreover, a
significant influence in purchasing a computer tablet for Americans is performance, while in China it

Advertising inundates people in virtually every society, whether it is television, print, radio, or the
Internet. These traditional marketing strategies lack authenticity and originality, creating skepticism in
their legitimacy. To avoid this, marketers should provide the resources necessary for Chinese
consumers to practice word of mouth marketing. This research concluded that it is the origin and
quality of the content found on the Internet that makes it legitimate. Utilizing today s modern
technology, nearly anyone can build an Internet community with little or no financial resources. These
platforms for communication can be physical or virtual, such as a storefront or an Internet forum.
Chinese social media platforms, such as Renren and Weibo, are very effective and inexpensive
strategies. People often refer to Renren as China s Facebook, as it is trendy, successful, and free.
Another effective community to practice WOM marketing is a company or product forum. A forum
offers product owners a place where they could openly express their concerns and experiences with
others, while potential customers could obtain product reviews from real people. Online communities
form bonds between members, which in turn develops a reliable resource within the most utilized

Essay on Why the Design Argument Fails
Why the Design Argument Fails The Design Argument does fail due to its weaknesses, it is lacking in
factual and substantial evidence to prove its theories. It puts forward a lot of ideas and claims however
they are not justified well enough; the only true fact is that you have to believe them. I feel it is correct
to claim that it fails due to the amount of criticising evidence against the theories for the existence of
God.
The main philosopher to criticise and object to the Teleogical Argument was David Hume. He looked
at every point towards the existence towards a creator and designer and then thought logically about
the condemnation and came up with rebuttals. He realised that ... Show more content on

He then compares a watch against a floating vegetable. A clock to a large organic mass is not possible
to compare. It would be better to compare it to an immense floating object. He is stating how absurd it
is that a small simple item could be linked to such a powerful designer. You cannot link a watch
towards something, which is a far more superior, and multitasking being. Like many of these
assumptions they are lacking concrete evidence to prove it, it is just a theory and therefore weakens
the argument towards the existence of a creator.
Another protestation, which Hume makes, is the difference between the world at present and the world

great and too big of an assumption. When we link the dinosaurs and try to analysis their life and habits
we can only learn from what we have. Then we tend to assume what time period they lived and who

just like the creator theories. We assume and try to link things together from what we have without
looking at all the evidence and waiting for 100% accurate facts. So we just predict and say it is the

Reptiles For Beginners Research Paper
Three Things to Understand About Reptiles as Pets for Beginners If you have have been thinking
about getting a reptile as a pet for the first time, there are a few things you need to know before you
make a purchase. Reptiles are much different than a dog or cat that you may have had in the past. The
following are three things to understand about reptiles as pets. Their natural environment is much
different than ours Dogs and cats can adapt quite nicely to the temperatures that we enjoy. But reptiles
are cold blooded animals and need the sun to heat up their body temperature. This usually means a
heating lamp or other device to keep their enclosure warm. With some reptiles, there may be humidity
requirements as well. In short, there is a

A Brief Look at Utilitarianism
Utilitarianism is an attractive philosophy which claims to replace arbitrary seeming rules by a morality
with a single coherent basis. As the most common form of consequentialism, based on the pursuit of
the greatest happiness of the greatest number, it argues that acts should be judged as right or wrong
according to their consequences. Because happiness is the only thing that is good in itself, and
unhappiness is the only thing that is inherently bad, everything else is only good or bad according to
its tendency to produce happiness or unhappiness. In a business type system, utilitarianism is also
attractive as a means of decision making in which the majority must choose wisely. This type of
decision making may have a positive effect on what action to take, but at the same time it might have
a cost that would not be taken lightly by a business.
From an engineer s and company s stand point, Utilitarianism would best fit, for the simple reason that
it will satisfy everyone, because it is more of a general theory, with a large margin area of company
and consumer satisfaction. Where other theories might be more specific to the situation, with
utilitarianism almost all fits within the category. This may be a good thing for a company, but at the
same time, one of the difficulties with the utilitarian standard is that it seems to sometimes favor the
greater aggregate good at the expense of a vulnerable minority; the minority being the company s
consumer (Rabins).

What Was Paris In The 1920s
Paris in the 1920s Paris is known for its beautiful attractions, the diversity from entertainment to

of reasons depending on what an individual was going through, or what would be going over there at
the time. A war had just ended and all of what was wanted was joy, happiness, and the freedom to
express an individual and their values. This was the time to talk about things that went on in the past

The Celsus Ephesus Library
In the modern day Turkey, wide road of Marble slopes down to Celsus Ephesus Library, one of the

the structure. The library was to memorize Celsus Polemeanus, a Roman senator, province of Asia

design of the library takes the form of Roman architecture (Francis, Jarzombek, Prakash, 65). Celsus

across the entrance and over it was the Athena statue. This is because Athena was wisdom goddess. A
significant element about the building is the storage of manuscript scrolls. They manuscripts scrolls
were put in cupboards in the walls niches. Behind bookcase were double walls to prevent the scrolls
from extreme humidity and temperature. The library had a capacity of over 12000 scrolls (Foss, 78).
The other main reason for the library was as a monument for Celsus.
According to Foss, (119) Celsus library was the third wealthiest library in the ancient period after
Pergamum and Alexandra. The structure was made of perfect marble and bedecked with figures of
Nike, garlands in relief, Eros and rosettes (Laale, 98). The building shows the attributes of Emperor

Meet The Dazzling Flying Machines Of The Future Essay
In Meet the Dazzling Flying Machines of the Future, by Raffaello D Andrea, drones were flown as an
activity for many hobbyists. However, it has the potential to become a normal part of everyday
society. Over the years, people have come up with more and more ideas for drones. These small,
flying machines are soon to become an average sight in today s society. D Andrea s company often
uses external cameras that allow the drone to determine its position in space. However, the company
has started to use new technology that does not require cameras to fly. The drone uses sensors to
calculate the position that it is in. In order for drones to be a part of today s society, they will have to
be made safer. According to the TED Talk, Helicopters, for example, are affectionately known as
machines with a thousand moving parts all conspiring to do you bodily harm (D Andrea 8). One of the

the proposed framework relate to the SCT factors in a couple of ways. Firstly, the SCT environmental
factors relate to environment and management domains (Organization dimension) of the proposed
framework. Secondly, SCT s cognitive and behavioral factors are in relation with the employee
dimension of the proposed framework.
The proposed framework is further enhanced by mapping factors considered in previous studies thus
identifying subdomains of the four main domains (environment, responsibility, management,

Causes Of Celiac Disease
Every day, people are diagnosed with various diseases. Many of these diseases affect different parts of
the body, including but not limited to the stomach, liver, or heart. One disease that affects the stomach
is celiac disease. Celiac disease occurs in the small intestine where it destroys the stomach lining and
causes the stomach to not be able to digest any gluten products: wheat, barley, or rye. A person may
find out one has celiac disease through blood tests and an endoscopy. There is no cure for celiac
disease, and a person will have it for the rest of one s life. The only current treatment that can help is a
strict gluten free diet. However, researchers are working hard to develop a special drug that will help

gluten free diet helps relieve the irritation in the small intestine, giving the villi time to heal and repair.
A person can start to feel better after eating gluten free at various rates. It depends how long one has
been undiagnosed with celiac disease. Some people feel better immediately after starting a gluten free
diet, while others take longer. Few people also experience refractory celiac disease, where the body
does not get better after becoming gluten free. But this condition is uncommon. (¬Esposito, Adamson,

understanding is rooted in the ability to say no. Strictly speaking, it is doubtful that a photograph can
help us to understand anything due to conflicting reasons. On one level, Sontag is correct because
when people view an image they look at it in an extremely basic and simple way without looking at it
from a different perspective. Most viewers wouldn t be able to see the real reason the photographer

Multiobjective Planning of Recloser-Based Protection...
In the last years, distribution automation has gathered a significant relevance in distribution systems
planning and operation. The network operator (NOp) looks for a suitable configuration of the feeder
topology as well as the system, pursuing the reliability enhancement and a full energy demand supply.
Nevertheless, an efficient protection system requires an adequate investment in such devices as
reclosers, fuses and sectionalizers. Thus, two conflictive objectives arise, namely, NOp investment
minimization and reliability maximization.
In this sense, the number and location of devices in the system are critical variables to accomplish
preceding objectives. Here, we focus on recloser based protection systems.

In most real world optimization problems the solution must to be found considering multiple
objectives instead of one.
Whereas these objectives are often in conflict, a trade off relation among them arises. that is, it is
necessary to sacrifice the performance of one or more objectives to enhance the other ones. Let us

system and the placement of NCRs. The amount of protective devices in a DS can vary from any

A Brief Note On The American Era Of Development
I.INTRODUCTION
We are living in the era of development where we have achieved a great advancement in the
technology. This technological advancement has also brought a rapid pace in the world of business.
The advancements in the way people access information, communicate with one another, and
complete tasks have allowed for flexibility in the workplace, but they have also subsided the
distinction between works, family and their social life. Employers expect more output from staff, and
employees are increasingly putting additional pressure on themselves to achieve greater results. For
excessive pressures employees are facing imbalance work life which is creating impact on their
standard of living and quality of life. Eventually, employees are losing their interest on their work. So,
organization is getting less output from their employees. This overall situation can bring a mess in the
performance of the employees which will lead to failure in achieving company s goal. So, managers
have to perform a great role for bringing balance in the work so that employees can have a healthy
work life and organization can get their expected benefit from their employees. II.WORK LIFE
BALANCE
Work Life Balance does not mean to create an equal balance. It is not anything like trying to schedule
an equal number of hours for each of the different work of workplace and personal activities. This is
usually unrewarding and unrealistic. Life is and should be more seamless than that.

Maturation can be defended as genetically programmed development. Stages of development ‘switch
on at fairly predictable time during childhood. The changes occur quiet rapidly, and allow a similar
pattern in almost all children. Almost all individuals have a unique genotype. This affects their
aptitudes and intelligence. Certain children have noticeable cognition deflects that limit their ability to
learn. Some of the conditions that lead to such deficits are strongly influences by genetics. The Role of
Learning Learning is the main process by which children acquire behaviour and understanding from
the environment. Children learn in various ways and acquire new ways in learning, as they get older.
Learning probably contributes more to human development has it does in any other species. This has
enabled humans to adapt to living in environments and conditions that are far different from those
present during much of human evolution. The role of a child in learning Children play an important
and active role in their own learning. Most infants display an intense curiosity about the world. This
leads them to make the most of opportunities to learn through play. Children also make demands on

The Mexican American War, Spanish Guerra De 1847
The Mexican American War The Mexican War, Spanish Guerra de 1847, or Guerra do Estados Unidos
a Mexico, are different names for the Mexican American War. Many incidents happened even before
the war officially began. Eisenhower simply and bluntly stated: The fact is that Mexico stood in the
way of the American dream of Manifest Destiny. Manifest Destiny was just one of the causes that
pushed us to war with Mexico. The first battle was at Palo Alto, a fort that was in the disputed zone.
There were many battles in 2 years. The war finally grasped an end when Mexico signed a treaty in

happened, brought on the war that lasted from 1846 1848 and then ended with the U.S as victors.
Prior to the Mexican American War, there were many events that lead to the cause of the war. For
many years, Americans and Mexicans had very little direct contact, because they were separated by
huge tracts of undeveloped territory. However, in the 19th century, the U.S began to rapidly expand
westward. By 1819, U.S had gained the Louisiana Territory and also the Arkansas and Missouri

The Island Of Dr. Moreau Analysis
People look to religion for answers. Why was I put on this Earth and for what purpose? The beast
people are asking the same question. Dr. Moreau answers their calls. He created the creatures by
performing vivisection and science experimentations. They worship him. Dr. Moreau is a godly figure

Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells, the creatures look to Dr. Moreau as their creator and their God by
singing about Moreau, their fear of his power, and where the story takes place. Moreau brainwashes
the animals to strip them of their animalistic ways by embedding the rules of the island in their chant.
This chant is similar to the bible God s disciples wrote in the form of verses to show examples of how
religious people should live their lives if they want to live on with God in eternity and go to Heaven.

Of course though the results of my analysis are bias (just like everyone else s) due to my friends and

time. It left me feeling as if me and my fellow students were separated based upon our races. It formed
a mental segregation in the class dividing us into our respected groups. This event did not frustrate me
because of the scholarship in itself, it was the fact that they were a government subsidised group and a
organization that practices any form of discrimination no matter if it is well intended or not should
never be funded by the federal government. These is what was basically running through my head

community or even society as a whole during the following days.I started to think of it in differing
points of view, although nearly impossible even trying to place myself in the shoes of the African

The Development Of Enterprise Risk Management Essay
1.3 The Development of Enterprise Risk Management
This section will briefly discuss the development of ERM especially the emerging factors that
influence companies to shift from TRM to ERM. The researchers will discuss both the academic
literature and the role of professional.
(D Arcy, 2001) proposed that the origin of risk management was developed by a group of innovative
insurance professors Robert I. Mehr and Bob Hedges in 1950s . The objective of risk management at
that time was to maximize the productive efficiency of the enterprise. At that time, risk management
was specifically focused on pure risk and speculative risks.
According to (Skipper Kwon, 2007) , in the 1970s, when the Organization of Petroleum Exporting
Countries decided to reduce production in order to increase the price, financial risk management
became an interesting issue highlighted by firms because the increment in oil price has affected the
stability of exchange rates and the inflation rate .
Later in 1980s, political risks attracted more attention from multinational corporations as a result of
different political regimes in different countries. For example, when the government announced a new
policy, investors and corporations must make decisions to reduce political risk (Skipper Kwon, 2007).
According to (D Arcy, 2001) during that era, organizations did not properly apply risk management
because they did not apply the risk management tools and techniques such as options. Therefore, the

Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through me (John
14:6 KJV). Law four is that we must believe this and freely receive this gift of life in Jesus Christ
Yeshua Messiah. We receive this gift through faith and when we do we experience a brand new
spiritual birth. John 1:12 says, But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the
sons of God, to them that believe on His name (KJV). For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: nor of works lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8 9
KJV). I think if you have the actual tracts the pictures are also a help aid to the listener you are
reaching out to with the good news that they might understand the spiritual rules our Lord has set! I
see one disadvantage to this method of evangelism whether you use the tract or just know the method
and the scriptures by heart and that is to offer water baptism to the person or persons you are
evangelizing. Another disadvantage to staying strictly to The Four Spiritual Laws does not mention
icebreakers or finding common ground with the one you are going to share with which I feel is very
important. I like what James Huston says, Before you ever say the word Bible, you have to build up
some trust with that person. You have to become his ally. You have to find

The Role Of The Covenant In The Old Testament
In the Old Testament, there are many covenants between God and his people. A covenant is an
agreement between two parties (individuals or groups) that establishes their respective rights and
responsibilities in the relationship(46). In retrospect to the Jews, God s covenant was a promise that he
made to his people in return for what he asked of them. In the Old Testament, God made a covenant
with at least three people: Noah, Abraham, and Moses. One of the covenants made was between God
and Noah which affected him and his descendants. During the time Noah lived, God s people were
corrupt and were not living as God had asked them to (Genesis 6:9). Because of their disobedience,
God sent a massive flood that destroyed the world and killed every living person. But before God sent
this flood, he warned Noah of his planned actions and told him to build an ark that would protect him
and his family from the flood. Noah obeyed God s orders and built an ark for him and his family. After
the flood was over, God promised Noah and his descendants that he would never ... Show more

Abraham s descendants moved to Egypt to be with their brother Joseph to receive a better lifestyle,
but when Egypt received a new pharaoh he turned Abraham s descendants into slaves(51). Because of
the covenant that was made between Abraham and God years before, God sent Moses to rescue the
descendants from Egypt and bring them to the promise land. During their journey to the promise land,
Moses and the descendants went through many obstacles causing the descendants to blame God for all
of their problems and begin worshiping other Gods (54). When they reached Mount Sinai, God made
a covenant with Moses and the descendants. In order for them to reach the Promised Land, God
expected them to follow the Ten Commandments and to praise God with rituals and sacrifices for
leading them to the Promised Land.

Music That Subverts The Standard Form Of Arranging Sounds...
Serialism is style of music that subverts the standard form of arranging sounds produced by musical
instruments and approaches the composition from an almost mathematical standpoint. It can be
described as a compositional strategy in which the composer arranges notes in a particular order based
on the characteristics of a sound such as pitch, duration, amplitude or even timbre, but giving no
preference to each individual characteristic; all aspects of a sound are equal. Once the notes are
arranged the composer uses a pre determined set of rules to arrange them in to a composition. It could
be argued that it originated as a response to composers in the late 19th and early 20th century
struggling to stretch the limits of their capability ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This order could be based on properties such as symmetry or pre determined intervals, or even just
instinctive ideas of the way in which notes could relate to one another. This order of notes is called a
tone row; this tone row was then re arranged through a set of rules to form variations known as set
forms or row forms. The basic forms of these rules are retrograde and inversion, arranging the notes in
reverse order (for example B C G becomes G C B) or upside down (for example B C G becomes B Bb
Eb) respectively. Combining these rules is known as retrograde inversion. These new arrangements
could be transposed to provide a larger range of varying row forms with which to form a composition.
Row forms are represented through a system of numbers and letters. The letter indicates the form of
the tone row, P indicating the original or prime form, R indicating the retrograde form and I indicating
inversion, with RI representing retrograde inversion. The number indicates the pitch class in which the
first note of prime and inverted forms of the row is to be played, or the last note of retrograde and
retrograde inverted forms. So for example I2 is an inverted form of P0 that has been transposed two
semi tones up. Through these rules it is possible to see the fundamental idea of serialism, composition
that moves away from the traditional tonal relationships of notes, while creating new relationships
through pitch, order, numbers and intervals. While

Questions On Open Source Software
Introduction
Open source software is used by a heaps of large businesses, take Facebook for example or even the
French tax system. It s an ever growing way for businesses to operate and we are seeing it become
more and more mainstream. Customers are progressively looking for it and therefore more and more
businesses and companies are providing it. Using open source in your business does present some
specific legal issues, generally they can be managed but IT managers should defiantly be aware of
them.
In this white paper I am going to delve deeper into what open source actually is, how some certain
companies use it and getting around the legal issues.
What is open source?
Open source also known as free source is where software is open , and by this it means that the source
code must be open for viewing. A lot of businesses that offer open source software accomplish their
revenue by one of two ways, the first being with the purpose that no one would have to pay to use the
software but in return they would have to pay for support. Then the other being charging the customer
again not for the software itself, but for related services. However, any work that comes from the open
source software must be licensed at no charge.
OSI (Open Source Initiative) are a company dedicated to promoting open source software. They
believe that for software to be open source it needs to meet the credentials of the following with the
intention of allowing enough flexibility to embrace a

Colin who has nothing to lose and everything to gain. This takes place along time ago, when Colin s

  • 2. Eulogy About Land Hello, my family I are from Sweden and our occupation are farmers so we have a little bit of land here and wished that we can have more space to plant our crops. So anyways, I am a mother with a husband and 3 children. My husbands name is Larry and he is great at protecting all of us. I have two sons named Jason and Tom, and a daughter named Heather who is 10 years old. For many, the results of the election were shocking because the candidates in this election were so different. When the voting data was broken down into different amounts of education per vote, the results were close. The data showed that 51 percent of people who had a high school degree or less, and 52 percent of people who had at least some college voted for Trump. The rest of the votes for Hillary came from 49 percent of college graduates and 58 percent of postgraduates. To further this data, it was compared to race and gender. The rise of the fascist movement between 1919 1922 was largely due to Mussolini himself. It is worthwhile to examine the consequences of government inefficiency, the growth of the socialist movement, the support of others as an enabling factor, but his leadership allowed the fascist party to be relevant, and to take advantage of these other conditions. Though trasformismo and socialism did destabilise Italian society, it was nevertheless Mussolini who offered solutions; though he assumed control of the country through Victor Emmanuel s assent, it was him who created alliances to maintain the position. In the countryside, the Labour Leagues, a form of rural trade union, was powerful enough to take control of local governments in areas such as Tuscany and Emilia. In response, the squadristi attacked the socialist leagues, encouraged by landowners and large farmers, natural supporters of the fascist movement. By late 1920, landlords and industrialists even began paying for their terror, thus providing financial support for the fascist party. As a result, right wing violence became tolerated and normalised, allowing it to breach Italian society. Inevitably, Mussolini s leadership once again proved to be significant, though he was not directly in control of their activity. He took credit for their role as protectors, and shifted the position of the fascist programme to be more conservative, in accordance to the public mood. His pragmatic attitude meant that the fascist programme was less important than its spirit the heroes and defenders against the red threat . Middle class voters also had cause to support fascism in its new direction, since the government was perceived to be too lenient with socialism an example being the Occupation of the Factories in September 1920. In fact, anyone who owned property, or was better off than an urban worker found appeal in fascism, as it now represented anti communism, patriotism, but above all, action. Oligopolies are made up of a small number of mutually interdependent firms. Each firm must take into account the expected reaction of other firms. How Rococo and Neoclassicism Illustrate the Process of Deciding in their Paintings The artists Jean Honore Fragonard and Jaques Louis David both successfully embody their respective stylistic differences. Fragonard s style of painting is Rococo, which is characterized by its softness, asymmetry and curviness. Contrasting these ideals is David s style of painting, Neo Classicism. Neo Classicism is synonymous with strong gestures, symmetry, and solidness. Two works that best exemplify the ideals of each style of painting are Fragonard s The Swing, 1767 and David s The Death of Socrates, 1787. The colors used in The Swing are soft pastel like colors that best illustrate the painting s femininity. The masculine ideals imposed by Neo Classicism are even evident in David s use of color. The colors presented in his work are solid, which suggest a male s ability at making a solid and just decision. On the other hand, the colors used in The Swing are not pure but mixed. Mixing red, yellow, and white probably created the shade of pink in the young woman s dress. This lack of purity conveyed in the colors of The Swing makes it clear to the viewer that a female s decision lacks solidness as well as clarity. The forms used in the painting also illustrate how the process of deciding is dependant upon which style of art is representing the process. As we continue to utilize this theme of femininity versus masculinity, we can see how the composition of each painting depicts each contrast. The Swing places the viewer inside an outdoors setting that is clearly soft, curvy, and feminine. The Death of Socrates takes place in an indoor setting marked by its attention to geometry, straight lines, and 90 degree angles. When looking at the setting in Fragonard s work, we can see that there is no sense of order or structure, the same that are conveyed in David s The Death of Socrates. Essay on Why the Design Argument Fails Why the Design Argument Fails The Design Argument does fail due to its weaknesses, it is lacking in factual and substantial evidence to prove its theories. It puts forward a lot of ideas and claims however they are not justified well enough; the only true fact is that you have to believe them. I feel it is correct to claim that it fails due to the amount of criticising evidence against the theories for the existence of God. You cannot link a watch towards something, which is a far more superior, and multitasking being. Like many of these assumptions they are lacking concrete evidence to prove it, it is just a theory and therefore weakens the argument towards the existence of a creator. Another protestation, which Hume makes, is the difference between the world at present and the world at birth. He asks how we can link what was then from what we see now, the time difference is too great and too big of an assumption. When we link the dinosaurs and try to analysis their life and habits we can only learn from what we have. Then we tend to assume what time period they lived and who hunted whom. Once again there is no real evidence to prove where or when they existed and this is just like the creator theories. We assume and try to link things together from what we have without looking at all the evidence and waiting for 100% accurate facts. So we just predict and say it is the way forward. • 21. A Brief Look at Utilitarianism Utilitarianism is an attractive philosophy which claims to replace arbitrary seeming rules by a morality with a single coherent basis. As the most common form of consequentialism, based on the pursuit of the greatest happiness of the greatest number, it argues that acts should be judged as right or wrong according to their consequences. Because happiness is the only thing that is good in itself, and unhappiness is the only thing that is inherently bad, everything else is only good or bad according to its tendency to produce happiness or unhappiness. In a business type system, utilitarianism is also attractive as a means of decision making in which the majority must choose wisely. This type of decision making may have a positive effect on what action to take, but at the same time it might have a cost that would not be taken lightly by a business. From an engineer s and company s stand point, Utilitarianism would best fit, for the simple reason that it will satisfy everyone, because it is more of a general theory, with a large margin area of company and consumer satisfaction. Where other theories might be more specific to the situation, with utilitarianism almost all fits within the category. This may be a good thing for a company, but at the same time, one of the difficulties with the utilitarian standard is that it seems to sometimes favor the greater aggregate good at the expense of a vulnerable minority; the minority being the company s consumer (Rabins). (D Arcy, 2001) proposed that the origin of risk management was developed by a group of innovative insurance professors Robert I. Mehr and Bob Hedges in 1950s . The objective of risk management at that time was to maximize the productive efficiency of the enterprise. At that time, risk management was specifically focused on pure risk and speculative risks. According to (Skipper Kwon, 2007) , in the 1970s, when the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries decided to reduce production in order to increase the price, financial risk management became an interesting issue highlighted by firms because the increment in oil price has affected the stability of exchange rates and the inflation rate . Later in 1980s, political risks attracted more attention from multinational corporations as a result of different political regimes in different countries. For example, when the government announced a new policy, investors and corporations must make decisions to reduce political risk (Skipper Kwon, 2007). This order could be based on properties such as symmetry or pre determined intervals, or even just instinctive ideas of the way in which notes could relate to one another. This order of notes is called a tone row; this tone row was then re arranged through a set of rules to form variations known as set forms or row forms. The basic forms of these rules are retrograde and inversion, arranging the notes in reverse order (for example B C G becomes G C B) or upside down (for example B C G becomes B Bb Eb) respectively. Combining these rules is known as retrograde inversion. These new arrangements could be transposed to provide a larger range of varying row forms with which to form a composition. Row forms are represented through a system of numbers and letters. The letter indicates the form of the tone row, P indicating the original or prime form, R indicating the retrograde form and I indicating inversion, with RI representing retrograde inversion. The number indicates the pitch class in which the first note of prime and inverted forms of the row is to be played, or the last note of retrograde and retrograde inverted forms. So for example I2 is an inverted form of P0 that has been transposed two semi tones up. Through these rules it is possible to see the fundamental idea of serialism, composition that moves away from the traditional tonal relationships of notes, while creating new relationships through pitch, order, numbers and intervals.
