The effectiveness of banana stem juice as a natural coagulant for treatment of turbid water was
investigated. The main parameter studied was Turbidity. Coagulation experiments using jar test was
performed with a flocculation system where the effects of Turbid Water pH, Retention time as well as
Dosage of Banana Stem Juice on coagulation was examined. A Three Level Factorial Design in
Response Surface Methodology (RSM) using Design Expert software was applied in the model
analysis. Consequently, most of the actual and predicted values closely agreed with various regression
coefficients. The characteristics of the Turbid water was determined with TSS at 222 mg/L, turbidity
at 143 NTU and COD at 89.36 mg/L, BOD at 44.68 mg/L, DO1 at 11.7 mg/L, DO5 at 6.93 mg/L, pH
at 7, Temperature at 27.3°C. Turbidity reduction using Banana Stem Juice was achieved at pH 6.5

This section presents the team s approach in conducting the study on Storm Water drainage and
management system evaluation and its detailed design program. The Streams Tech team will provide
all necessary labor, materials, supervision, and professional and technical support to conduct the study.

As a young girl who became a slave Biddy Mason can certainly relate to the definition of slave. At a
young age for a long time Biddy was considered as a Black slave woman who was illiterate. In other
words she could not read or write. She worked as a nurse and a midwife and traveled from Mississippi
to California to be able to become a successful businesswoman and a generous contributor to social
causes. Bridgett Biddy Mason was born a slave, August 15, 1818. No one knows the location in which
she was born in, but many people predict that she was born in Georgia, while others predict more

Welfare is a subject of debate in the United States because everyone has a different point of view
when it comes to the Social Security Act. On one side the rich may feel that the government takes
from the rich, and gives to the poor. The poor on the other hand may believe that they are being
forgotten and not helped enough by the government. Are the government financial assistance
programs really working and helping people climb out of poverty or are they creating lazy people who

It is common knowledge in public health that if the physical environment is unhealthy, so is the
population that live there. Even though the many of the environmental issues are being addressed by
the State and County authorities, Clayton County is experiencing a slow rate of change. While the air
pollution particulate matter is declining, it is currently at 13.2, which is higher than the national

schools could end up bankrupting the public education system so many children rely upon. Proponents

Students must pass the FCAT in order to graduate from high school. Also, by 2002, school boards
must adopt a merit system for instructional personnel and administrators. Employees rated as
outstanding will receive a 5% pay increase. This aspect is subject to collective bargaining. The law
includes a new system involving truancy, discipline, and safety (Voucher and Accountability). Social
promotion has been eliminated and school districts must consider alternative placement for students

in Escambia County. I cannot believe that the Escambia County Schools are the worst in the entire
state of Florida including the south Florida counties that are full of immigrants who speak English as
