As we near the next presidential election for the United States I see names such as Donald Trump
and Bernie Sanders running to lead our country. With the amount of candidates running for the next
presidential term, I often wonder what it takes to throw one s hat in the ring, and the steps they
have to take to get into office. Are there any restrictions, age limits, financial obligations one must
meet before going through the long road to presidency? Before announcing to run for President of
the United States, specific requirements must be met. First, the age requirement is to be at least
35 years old. The second requirement is that you must be a born citizen of the United States, and
lastly would have to live in the country for the past 14 consecutive years prior to running for
President. Now, if one meets those requirements they could run for President. It would probably be
a smart idea, although not required, to have previous education, political experience and financial

Located beside the Santa Ana River about 60 miles east of Los Angeles, the historic town of
Riverside hosts a populace of 303,871, according to the 2010 US Census. Currently the 12th
most populated city in California and the 59th in the country, Riverside has come a long way

dream. Brain DePalma chooses purposefully to have a hyper masculine, narcissistic, megalomaniac

the American dream is available for everyone. DePalma utilizes zooming and filmcuts to show how
the American dream is for everyone. Scarface, following the traditional film three act narrative
structure, ends it second act with Tony Montana immediately after executing his old boss. The
camera opens on a close up of Tony Montana. The camera then cuts to a shot of a moving blimp
saying, The World is Yours . Before the blimp s message can move to an advertisement, the
camera then cuts back to Tony Montana, holds for a few seconds, the zooms out to a long shot
encompassing the entire house. DePalma purposefully chooses to film this scene this way.
Opening on a close up of Tony Montana show the audience that he is the focus of the scene. When

Every August, a group of second graders enter my classroom. I teach them how to read and
write, tie their shoes, and by June, make sure they are prepared for third grade. In the middle of
last school year, I received a new student. She was a beautiful, bubbly little girl. I soon learned she
was terminally ill and one of her last wishes was to return to school. I was incredibly humbled her
parents were entrusting their daughter into my care and sharing her with me during what
would be her last days. In those months to follow, I learned how fragile life could be. For
Avery*, there was no next year; and the biggest days of her life were playing out right in front of
me. I slowed things down and didn t push quite so hard. I gave an extra 15 minutes for recess,
just because the weather was nice and the sky was pretty. I would sit on the rug and read three
stories in a row until my voice gave out, because the children were loving the performance. I
knew it was my job to be joyful. Children aren t supposed to die. We all know and believe this

As we come to the end of the term looking back at the previous diversity summaries I find that
this one in particular gave me more of an encouragement to think beyond what I already knew or
didn t know about religion, people s sexual orientation and disabilities. From my personal
experience and knowledge of other religions I was not expecting to see some that I have never
even heard of before, or how much a person s sexual orientation can have impacts on their lives.
As for disabilities, I have a brother who has a disability but it was a great learning experience,

We bred our ewes with a Suffolk ram in the 3rd week of August on a 1 acre pasture. We hope in
the future to expand the pasture to 4 acres. 3 years ago my dad put up a 50x45 foot pole barn

Color and Jews. The recent platform of Black Lives Matters denounces Israel as an apartheid state.
A respect for the history of Black political thought demands we not forget Israel and Jews (of all
races) remain a vulnerable minority.
Jews and Black Americans are most often linked together during the 20th century Civil Rights
movement. These communities were victims of institutionalized discrimination and social
shunning. Jim Crow signage proclaimed: No Jews, No Dogs, No Negroes. At the height of the
Civil Rights era, Jews and Blacks marched together and were martyred during the Freedom Rides
for voter registrations.
The 19th and 20th centuries were filled with social and political change from the outlawing of
slavery, the Labor Movements advancement of workers rights, and WWI and WWII toppling of
empires and raising up new nations. Unfortunately, Blacks and Jews continued as subjects of racism

The debate of the true authorship of Shakespeare is one that has been argued for centuries. While
there are various theories to suggest that William Shakespeare, the man from Stratford on Avon was
not the true author of the plays produced within his lifetime, one theory in particular seems to hold
the most concrete evidence. The authorship theory about Edward de Vere, Seventeenth Earl of
Oxford seems to have the most historical evidence proving that he is the writer of the plays and
