Civil Services Immigrants
All civil services examination aspirants are well attuned to the significance of making notes. But a
handful of them really know the art of preparing effective, concise and readable in a short time notes.
You need to go through these small notes a few days or even few hours before and/or the Mains exam.
So it would not be exaggeration to say that the notes you prepare can decide your future in the exam.
The first step is to maintain book, a dedicated register or even take down notes on flip cards or pages
if you are comfortable with this method. Next, divide the pages by topics or months. In a specific
month you could write events topic wise on each page or you could divide the register topic wise, like
some pages devoted exclusively for sports,

Target Executive Summary
Executive Summary This paper discusses the company history of Target, evaluates Target s internal
strengths and weaknesses, and discusses external opportunities and threats. Additionally, the authors
examine how the company functions to provide product to customers, and also elaborates on how the
company interacts with their customers. Lastly, the authors evaluate the needs that Target serves its
customers and assesses the criticality of the products provided. Company History In 1902 George D.
Dayton, a banker and real estate investor, became a partner in Goodfellow s Dry Good Company
located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The next year he took on a larger role and the company was
renamed Dayton Dry Goods Company (Target Through The Years, 2016). In 1954, the company
began its first expansion outside of Minneapolis, MN to Rochester, MN. Later, the company began to
look for way to strengthen its relationships with their guests and introduced a mass market discount
store for shoppers looking for value. In 1962, this concept was called Target and made its first opening
in Roseville, MN. The Dayton Corporation joined forces with J.L Hudson Company of Detroit in 1969
(having similar merchandising philosophies) to become one of the 15 largest non food retailers. The
company continued to expand its operations throughout the 70 s, 80 s, and 90 s while creating
superstores. They later acquired Marshall Fields, created their own brands (Archer Farms), offered

Designing A Company For The Car Industry Essay
Revival is a company I own for four years now. It s been a family company since 1963, so it has a lot
of sentimental value to me over the years. Basically what this company does restores old classic cars
and rejuvenates them. The shop was owned by my grandpa, then pass on to my dad. Unfortunately,
my dad passed away of cancer, so he inherited the company to me because he knew I would still
continue to keep Revival functioning properly. I like to preserve my company the way it is, as how it
was first step up back in 1963. It just reminds me of the old memories when I first used to give a hand
around the shop. I remember learning skills from my dad, on how to make business agreements with
customers. The day I knew I wanted to work in the car industry, was when I first bought an 1950
Aston Martin for $1600 because the guy was paying too much for parking space a month. As a matter
of fact, I told him what does he prefer, continuing to pay for rent or get rid of the car for once. That s
the day when I first bought myself a car for an amazing deal. The market value for Aston Martins are
significantly higher once it s all refurbished. Ever since then, I noticed easy potential money in the car
industry.

I have chosen to do the assignment on comparing these retail giants over their purchase and supply
chain management and its key issues. I was working for a firm in india which is indulged in day to day
purchase and supply and was not much effective. It was the main reason to do a research on these
firms and to discover how do they handle such an effective supply chain management. Researching on
key issues like sustainabillity, global sourcing and ethics and risk involved in supply chain
management. The study found that these firms have started to take sustainabillity as a major area of
concern in corporate responsibillity through integrating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Hiroshima Point Of View
This novel was written in a unique format in which the author, John Hersey, used third person point of
view to introduce six ordinary people who have experienced a horrendous phenomenon. The first
chapter depicts what occurred before the bomb struck. At the time, Hiroshima was conducting several
night air raid warnings which prevented any civilians from getting their sleep. There were daily
weather runs conducted by the Americans which the Japanese disregarded for they only worried over
the B 29s. Father Kiyoshi Tanimoto, minister of the Hiroshima Methodist Church, rose at five o clock
to prepare for a day s journey to Koi, a city away from Hiroshima. Father Tanimoto and a friend had to
transfer Tanimoto s daughter belongings to friend s house ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout each individual s journey, the destruction and misery that the bomb created can be
observed. Asuna Park is where almost all the the novel s individuals meet. Father Kiyoshi Tanimoto
rose from his hideout and immediately witnessed the destruction of Hiroshima. Fortunately, he met his
uninjured wife after the bomb, but their encounter was brief for their circumstances had them
departing already. Father Tanimoto later took refuge in Park Asano, and unintentionally became the
leader of all the wounded. Toshiko Sasaki remained unconscious for at least three hours, unable to
move. She scream for help until finally three men came to her rescue. He left leg was severely
wounded, and she was later stationed at a shelter with three other damaged people. Dr. Masakazu Fujii
was able to dislodge himself from the timber and, along with other doctors, nurses, and civilians,
sought shelter from underneath the bridge. On the way to the bridge, Dr. Fujii briefly noticed the huge
fire that seemed to consume the surrounding areas. Feeling that the danger has passed, Dr. Fujii
journeyed to his home and later realized his family s home has collapsed. At the same moment,
Hatsuyo Nakamura had discovered her three children were alive and well. One of her neighbor
persuaded Nakamura to take refuge at Asuna Park. The park was still intact which could be used as a
cover against any future possible attacks. While preparing for the migration, she saw Father Wilhelm
Kleinsorge wondering around bewildered. Father Kleinsorge first assisted out of dangerous
environments, dislodged several people, then decided to take shelter in Asuna Park. Before their
departure, Father Kleinsorge and other priests were forced to ignore some of the cries. Even if the
priests attempted to aid those in need, the circumstances prevented it which resulted in thousands of
unnecessary casualties. Dr. Terufumi Sasaki was overwhelmed with

Critique Of John Maynard Keynes s Theory Of Demand For Money
CRITIQUE OF KEYNES THEORY OF DEMAND FOR MONEY.
Demand is the amount of goods and services that consumers are willing and able to buy at a particular
price and place. It is the desire to purchase goods and services. Money is anything that is generally
accepted as a means of payment for goods and services in a particular place. Several theories have
been derived concerning the demand for money. Some of the economists that have postulated theories
concerning demand for money includes: Irving Fisher, the Cambridge cash balance approach (put
forward by Pigou and Marshall), Keynes theory, Milton Friedman s theory and so on. But this deals
with the critique on the theory of demand for money by Keynes. Before one knows the critique to a
theory, the theory needs to be understood itself. John Maynard Keynes wrote a book titled, The
General Theory of employment, interest and money and here he gave in detail theory of demand for
money. The theory postulated by Keynes is basically an extended version of the Cambridge Cash
Balance approach. According to him, the demand for money is not the actual money balances held by
people but what amount of money balances they want to hold. He believed people were not suffering
from money illusion. Keynes said the demand for money depends on three motives. These are:
transactions, precautionary and speculative motives.

Analysis Of Laura Rowley s Article, As They Say, Drugs Kill
In the article, As They Say, Drugs Kill, by Laura Rowley tells us that the easiest way to end a party is
by having someone die in the middle of the occasion. Len Bias just a typical 22 year old guy
celebrating with his friends at a private house party. At every college party there s always a drug,
today s drug was psilocybin. However, this was a normal party people would play games, tell jokes,
and listened to music on the stereo. As Bias fell down one of the guests started to laugh thinking that
Bias was just having fun. Four people grabbed the phone to call dial, but the phone was dead so they
rushed to the neighbor s house to call. Everyone was panicking about the situation. They kept asking if
they should call the ambulance or not. However, a friend told everyone that this happened before and
that he recovered in 15 seconds. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His friend wondered how much it cost to pump a stomach. In fact, he wondered what Bias would tell
his parents about the hospital bill. Then, two paramedics arrived, they quickly took him out. His
friends saw through the small window of the ambulance how they were massing his chest. However,
no one told the paramedics that Bias took psilocybin. The following day, people would shake Rowley
s hand, but he could not let out emotions. Someone said if someone who takes a drug doesn t value
their lives too highly. However, others people didn t get their lesson after the incident. When others
talk about Bias s incident it haunted him because the image of him lying on the floor appeared in his
eyes. However, he compared Bias s death to a war how people would learn their lesson and would not
repeat it. If people can t change after seeing someone die then it will bring greater tragedy

A National Identity Crisis- Research Paper
A National Identity Crisis? Humans from various parts of the globe, including the Western
hemisphere, arrived tens of thousands of years ago. These people belonged to different cultures,
different groups, and spoke different languages. They settled in places where they could find water
and food. It s often thought that migration and immigration are the same and immigration came out of
migration, which is NOT true. During seasons, birds migrate from one place to another. Once the
season is over, they come back to their home. People from Mexico get into the United States during
the harvest season and once their job is complete, they return home. If these Mexicans did not go
back, but established a residence in the United States, then they ... Show more content on

As the migration patterns reflected economic, social, and political development, the regulations for the
number of immigrants and various types of immigrants were being strictly formulated. Most of the
least attractive jobs in the country are being manned by illegal immigrants as they work at very low
wages, sometimes even below the stipulated minimum wage. The employers try to exploit the
situation of these laborers and make their personal pockets bulge with profits. Moreover, these illegal
immigrants, as they are not legally attached to any payroll, they do not pay any taxes or any fee to the
government. Illegal immigrants do not have proper health coverage, and thereby could not get medical
attention when needed. So, they tend to land up in emergency room, which finally falls on legal
taxpayers to bear the burden. Also, diseases which are not quite common in this country get into the
country via the illegal immigrants posing a gigantic health threat. Another pile of cost to the taxpayers
is children born to these illegal immigrants in this country. Taxpayers are left to scramble the
rummages out of the ruin, while these parents quietly sit and watch. One of the main reasons why
people illegally cross the border is that to get in legally, it is very difficult unless otherwise highly
qualified. Despite all the unwanted situations that occur for an illegal immigrant, if caught, they are

Disconnection And Alienation In St Patrick s College By...
An author s personal experience gives authenticity to their text. Peter Skrzynecki, an Australian poet
of Polish origin emigrated to Australia shortly before the end of World War II. His assimilation into his
newfound homeland is portrayed in his emotive poetry, where he explores his disconnection and
alienation. The way in which Skrzynecki writes about his personal experiences gives an authentic
insight into the perspective of a migrant, allowing the audience to better understand the challenging
emotions evoked by the migrant experience. These emotions are clearly seen in Skrzynecki s poem St
Patrick s College, where he delves back through his experiences at school and highlights the
disconnection and alienation he felt being a migrant. This disconnection is further expressed in Feliks
Skrzynecki, where Skrzynecki alludes to his detachment from even his father. These feelings of
disconnection and alienation shown by Skrzynecki in his poems, allows the audience to understand the
effects of growing up as a migrant.
The process of transitioning into a new context can put pressure on an individual to belong, leading to
disconnection for the individual if they don t belong. Peter Skrzynecki was enrolled into a Catholic
School after his family migrated from Europe to Australia. The effects of this change in context for
Skrzynecki is portrayed in his poem St Patrick s College, where he gives authentic personal insight
into the challenges faced by migrants growing up in a new

Essay about The Possible Mechanisms of Scrapie Contraction
The Possible Mechanisms of Scrapie Contraction
Scrapie was first discovered in Great Britain in the late 1900 s. The first case of scrapie in the United
States was found in Michigan in 1947 when the flock owner had imported sheep of British origin
several years prior. Since then scientists have researched to find the cause of the scrapie agent that are
classified as transmissible spongiform encephalopathy. At the present, scientists have presented three
main theories that explain why the scrapie agent holds a dangerous threat against its host and how it
elicits its symptoms. Scientists are finding genetic alternatives to prevent and dampen the spread of
scrapie within sheep and goat flocks. They use methods such as tatoing and genetic ... Show more

Because of the mysterious nature of the disease, the origin of scrapie and the damage it causes the
body can only be theorized. The three main theories of scrapie and its structure s effect on the
symptoms it causes sheep and goats all present potential information about the disease and its cure
(Scrapie Fact Sheet. August 2001:
http://www.animalagriculture.org/scrapie/AboutScrapie/FactSheet.htm)
The uncertainty of the origin and cause of scrapie is due to the insufficient research to find a solution
to the epidemic because it is still considered a relatively new disease and not an immediate threat to
humans. There have been three main theories of the cause of scrapie and its resistant nature to all
previous experimental cures. The first theory is that the agent is a virus with unusual characteristics.
The second theory is that the agent is a prion, which is an exclusively host coded protein that is
modified to a protease resistant form after infection. The last theory is that the agent is a virino, a
small nucleic acid coated with a host derived protective protein that allows it to resist scientists futile
attempts at destroying it (Scrapie Fact Sheet. August 2001:
http://www.animalagriculture.org/scrapie/AboutScrapie/FactSheet.htm).
The first theory of the scrapie agent being an unusual virus presents a serious problem to scientists
because viruses do not respond to antibiotics and other chemicals of that nature. Scientists would have

Russian Economic Crisis Essay
The Russian economy has reacted very well in the last two years in reference to the events of which
resulted in collapsing oil prices and the continuation of Western penalties for certain practices. GDP
has decreased a minimal 0.2% in 2016, which followed a positive 2.8% contraction in 2015
(previously estimated to result in a 3.7% decrease by top analysts). Stricter monetary and fiscal
policies, as well as a flexible exchange rate essentially ensured a much smaller GDP decline in 2015
and 2016 combined, versus in 2009, when economic strength significantly weakened by
approximately 8%, despite higher oil prices. Analysts state that this is a clear indication for future
potential growth of the economic recovery. The most recent financial ... Show more content on

Although this shows promising opportunity, this doesn t show that the job opportunities are given in
specific fields that have a demand for employees. The Russian economy has since accommodated the
labor market to withstand the impact of the economic crisis. However, this doesn t solve other
problems since the collapse of the economy. A huge conflict of the Russian labor market is something
called hidden unemployment, which occurs when people are demanded to go on unpaid leave, or their
working days/shifts are reduced significantly. This has a long term effect on the entire market. This
essentially will evolve into a cycle of people being given the term hidden unemployment , limiting
consumer resources, thus increasing the number of those involved in hidden unemployment . Tatiana

Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration). According to Maleva, this is
a factor of the current job market in Russia, which makes the Russian labor market vary from many
other labor markets towards the West. Real disposable income in Russia has been declining
dramatically year after year since 2014; when Russia was given many sanctions from international
business in the West. The 9.3 percent fall in reference to

The Seatbelt Law, By Thomas Hobbes, And Jean Jacques Rousseau
INTRODUCTION
Every day millions of people around the United States commute daily to work, and to run their
errands. In almost every state in the United States, wearing a seatbelt is required. Many people ask
why they should have to wear a seatbelt in their private vehicles, while others agree that everybody
definitely should wear their seatbelt. Should the government be able to create and enforce this laws
such as this one on the public? This paper will discuss the seatbelt law, the views of philosophers
Thomas Hobbes, and Jean Jacques Rousseau, and whether or not this law is ethical.
THOMAS HOBBES Thomas Hobbes (1588 1679) was an English philosopher who is best known for
his work in political ethics. Hobbes had a pessimistic view of the human race, however his theory has
been used as a major influence on western political views. In 1651, Thomas Hobbes wrote Leviathan,
in which he states that life before government was violent, brutal, and barbaric. Hobbes continues on
to argue that civil peace and social unity are best achieved by the establishment of a commonwealth
through social contract. Leviathan consisted of four books: 1.) Of Man, 2.) Of Commonwealth, 3.) Of
a Christian Commonwealth, and 4.) Of the Kingdom of Darkness. The first book contains the
philosophical context, while the second book outlines the rights of the citizens within the
commonwealth. The third book argues against certain scriptures, and whether or not a person can

Dalton Conley You May Ask Yourself Summary
Dalton Conley describes labeling theory in Chapter 6 of You May Ask Yourself as the belief that
individuals subconsciously notice how others see or label them, and their reactions to those labels over
time form the basis of their self identity (Conley, 2011:203). In other words, over time, a person s self
identity changes to fit the character other people impose upon them. An action itself isn t necessarily
deviant unless society decides it is. Labeling theory can go either way, either positive or negative.
While not necessarily deviant, an example of the self fulfilling (or Pygmalion) prophecy created by
labeling is from You May Ask Yourself, Chapter 13. Conley (2011) makes reference to a study by
Robert Rosenthal and Lenore Jacobson who administered IQ tests to a group of students. They then
proceeded to randomly select a fifth of the students for their experiment, and communicated to their
teachers that they were particularly bright (basically labelling them.) At the end of the year they
retested all of the students, and found that the ones they had singled out as higher potential ended up
performing better on the test than their peers. The researchers found that the label they had attached to
the students led to the teachers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Characteristics Of German Expressionism
When emphasizing on Expressionism, it is difficult to describe the German Expressionism in a
suitable manner, one that will paint the picture for passing verbal inquires. Its ominous tones, gloomy
faces, eerie image, they are by design dependent on self experience to understand. Suiting the artistic
styles of Expressionism, popularized the likes of Vincent van Gogh and Edward Munch, German
Expressionism stands out to produce images that will express more subjective feelings to the viewer
than the realistic portrayals of ordinary images (Darsa par. 1 2). After world war 2, the Weimar
Republic took control of the UFA, a film community that began in World war 1 producing German
propaganda, with a new direction of showing Germany s greatness by cultivating their own talent and
stylings (Gazetas p41).
Normally, defining German Expressionism without observing it in a way that you normally should
would tarnish its achievements. The German Expressionist cinema pay a critical attention to detail
towards films mise en scene. It is a landmark that is common in most of the great films such as Fritz
Lang s Metropolis, F.W. Murnau s Nosferatu, and Robert Wiene s The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. As
stated by Aristides Gazetas that the [German Expressionism] was developed upon the ways cinema
images could evoke psychological states of being (p41).

Smallpox Vaccines Essay
The world is full of dangers some seen while others slip right under the radar until it is too late.
According to the Merriam Webster online dictionary a vaccine is, a preparation of killed
microorganisms, living attenuated organisms, or living fully virulent organisms that is administered to
produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease. Before the invention of vaccines, the
immune system was left fighting a losing battle against some of mankind s worst enemies, but with
the help of vaccines humans have a tool to strengthen their immune system and fight back against
these unseen killers. Vaccines defeat deadly viruses, strengthen society, and change lives.
Invented by an English physician, Jenner Edwards, in 1796 vaccines have come to defeat many deadly
viruses. Through experimentation and hard work, Jenner created the first vaccine for the deadly
smallpox virus. Jenner spent much of his life researching and experimenting to find a way to beat
smallpox, and in 1796 from the teats of cows Jenner invented the first effective smallpox vaccine.
After infecting children with a small amount of cowpox, Jenner discovered that the children built up
an immunity to the otherwise deadly smallpox virus (Helicon). Before Jenner s invention of vaccines

A Study On Oral History Assignment
Oral History Assignment For this assignment, I had chosen to interview my uncle, Atif. He is 43 years
old, married with four children, and currently resides in the Greater Toronto Area. He was born in
Karachi, Pakistan where he lived in an extended family with his parents, brothers sisters,
grandparents, aunts, uncles, and their kids. He had moved to Canada on October 26th 1990, by
himself, to fulfill his undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba in Computer Science and
Math. He is now working at CGI as a Professional IT Manager. He describes himself as introverted,
responsible, independent, hard working, driven, logical and analytical. This is evident throughout his
interview, as he had a very analytical approach on observing advertisements. While Atif was growing
up back in Pakistan, advertising was a lot less relevant because of where he was, who he was and how
he interacted with the media. Firstly, there was only one channel that ran on TV from 5pm until 11pm.
Though, only on Sundays, the channel started from early mornings. There were no 24 hour broadcasts.
Very select commercials appeared on TV, that too mostly for necessity items. One that he remembers
fondly is a commercial for toothpaste. What attracted Atif about this commercial was its catchy jingle.
Mclain s Toothpaste! Did you Mclain your teeth today? The kids then would chant back Twice a day,
every day! Atif, still to this day, with radiant smile on his face, could not forget the memorable

Complex Relationships Between Characters in A Dollhouse by...
Complex Relationships Between Characters in A Dollhouse by Henrik Ibsen A Dollhouse by Henrik
Ibsen is the story of one woman s struggle to free herself from a world of guilt and false livelihood.
The story is based on the author s own account of a fellow friend and journalist named Laura Peterson
Kieler who was burdened with a hidden crime just as Nora, the main character, is(Ibsen, 1785).
According to Ibsen, Kieler illegally borrowed money with the help of a bank associate by forging the
signature of her wealthy father. The money was used to pay for her ailing husband s medical needs.
Ibsen s storyline in A Dollhouse is an exact replica of the events of Kieler s conflicts, but the character
of Nora is based on another ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The titled dollhouse is created because of the way they act toward each other. Nora, being Torvald s
baby and unmovable attachment, and Torvald being the domineering master of the household. Their
entire relationship is based on a false sense of reality created by their baby like banter and the nievity
in which they carry out the day to day actions of their lives. For example, Torvald calls Nora his little
lark (Ibsen, 1668) and little squirrel (Ibsen, 1668). Although this simple name calling may be
considered romantic and loving, there is a hidden side to both characters that is concealed in these
childish actions. Helmer grows accustom to being the father figure to Nora and in essence begins to
believe in its false meaning. Their relationship is need based not only from a financial standpoint but
from the need for future respect as well. The author states Nora is happy because she sees the future in
wholly economic terms. (Hemmer, 1790) Nora has to keep her doll like image to ensure her future and
also to keep her secrets and true identity from being revealed.(Ibsen, 71) She believes that if her strong
independent side is shown to her husband he will find out all the things she is hiding including her
criminal relationship with Krogstad. Torvald keeps his place in the acting dollhouse because he has
hidden feelings like Nora s that will ruin his good guy reputation if out in the open.

The Importance Of Art Funding For Education Essay
The Importance of Art Funding
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, art is defined as something that is created with
imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings ( Art ). With
that being said, it is almost essential that art is maintained as a general course required for every
student to take. While having art classes in schools available for students is important, it is also
equally as important for the school funding for the art programs to be regulated throughout each
district. By using a simple student to teacher ratio to determine how much money should be allotted to
each teacher, this reoccurring problem could be solved for good.
One of the main problems in the art program throughout the United States is the regulation of funding
within the program. For example, while one teacher has one hundred students and another may have
seventy, the teacher with seventy students gets a budget of five hundred dollars when the teacher with
one hundred gets only three hundred and fifty. On top of that, not only is it unfair to the individual
teachers, but it is also happening all over the United States to teachers in the same district. In an article
about secondary art programs, it states that the art teacher at School Number Two was operating with
78% of the funds as the teacher at School Number One. Because the two schools are within the same
district, this is a difference that seemingly defies explanation (Kraft 55). While

Facebook Is Off By Yvetne Marche
Marche starts his essay off by telling the story of a woman named Yvette Vickers; she was a lonely
woman who became even more lonely using the internet as her only way to connect with people. He
explains that Americans are more solitary than ever before (Marche, 2) so it is easy to use Facebook as
a scapegoat for our loneliness but in reality it is just a new way that we present our loneliness. In his
essay Marche makes it very clear that it is not Facebook that is making society lonely, but instead
people are using Facebook as a way of changing the form of their already apparent loneliness. This
essay was one that was very clear and gave many reasons as to why Facebook is not the source of our
feelings of loneliness and also made many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marche uses the metaphor that [Facebook is] like a car (Marche, 7) because you can use it as a way to
isolate yourself or you can use it as a way to interact with others and use it as a social tool. Marche
also gives the reader an example of an effective and healthy way that social media is used versus an
unhealthy way by using an example of a football game. Marche states that if you use social media as a
way to organize a game of football among your friends, that s healthy. [But] if you turn to social
media instead of playing football, however, that s unhealthy, (Marche, 7) which is a very good
example because it shows the reader that social media was really just meant as a social platform, not
one that is used an excuse to not be social. The metaphors and examples that Marche uses really
enhance the persuasion and effectiveness of his essay because it makes the reader really think of
Facebook with an unbiased mind rather than thinking of it as what it s known to be and all the bad
things that are associated with

Nature In The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner describes an unnatural voyage. This voyage itself is metaphorical of
a shift from the natural to the unnatural. The beginning of the voyage details a normal trip with the
weather being beneficial to the mariners. However, after a storm blows all of the mariners to the
Antarctic, nature starts to revolt. This shift is used as a literary device to both further the narrative and
to communicate the change in tone. Coleridge uses the shift in nature as a means to describe the
ancient mariner s punishment. The first instance of nature the Ancient Mariner describes is when the
ship sets sail. As described by the Mariner, all is normal: The ship was cheered, the harbor cleared
Merrily did we drop (6). Nature is normal; there is no mention of unnatural seas ... Show more content

the fate of the Mariner by winning his soul, and forcing him to live out horrible apparitions. The first
of which is watching each and every sailor die (12). Nature does this as a means to single out the
Ancient Mariner, since he is given a worse fate. Thus, by capturing the Ancient Mariner, nature helps

Pros And Cons Of Human Genetic Modification
Human genetic modification is that direct manipulation of the genome using molecular engineering
techniques. Also known as gene editing and can be implied in two different ways, somatic and
germline modification. Somatic ads, cuts or changes the genes in some of the cells of an existing
person. While germline genetic modification changes the genes in embryos most known as gene
editing for reproduction. These alterations would appear in every cell of the mother who developed the
embryo and although it has not be tried in humans, it will soon be. Human germline modification is
prohibited in more than 40 countries as it can be dangerous. Many people do not see the danger

Which Paper Towel Works Best
Which Paper Towel Works Best
When you come to the paper towel aisle in the grocery store do you ever get frustrated and annoyed
by all the brands to choose from? Every brand is telling you that they are the strongest and that their
brand will absorb the fastest. Have you ever actually taken the time to figure out which brand is
indomitable and absorbs the quickest? Well today I will fill you in on this mysterious secret and tell
you not only which brand is not lying to you but also which brand you are getting your money s worth
and if paying that extra dollar is worth the name brand I think that the most expensive paper towel will
be the strongest based on an ice cube suspended over a paper towel over a bowl held by a rubber band.

After that I waited until the entire ice cube melted. This took about two hours or so. Now that the ice
had all melted and absorbed into the paper towel I could see that the ice cube had either broke through
the paper towel, absorbed fully into the paper towel or leaked though in some spots. When I was
finished looking over what had happened, I wrote down the results and everything all of my
observations.
The first brand that I decided to start with was Scott. Scott brand claims to have fast absorbing ridges.
I bought a package of ninety six one ply sheets for a $1.69. I figured out that each sheet costs around
0.018 cents. The paper towel sheets individually are 27.9 by 27.9 centimeters. The Scott brand held up
pretty well with the ice cube. The ice cube did not break through or rip the paper towel. The paper
towel was fully wet and absorbed the entire red ice cube. None of the red water leaked through. I feel
that the Scott brand has passed the test.
The second brand that I tested was Giant Eagles Clean n Tuff . This brand claims to be strong and
absorbent. I paid eighty nine cents for a ninety six 2 ply sheet roll. The sheets had the dimensions of
27.9 by 27.9 centimeters. Each sheet costs around 0.0092 cents. After the ice cube finished melting I
observed what happened and found that the paper towel absorbed the water with no tearing or
dripping through at all.

Ice Fili Case Study Solution
While analyzing the Ice Fili case study, I determined that all six parts of the general external
environment are applicable. With the economic crisis and the dissolution of the Soviet Union an open
market economy emerged. An open market system meant that the government had little to do with the
regulation of the market which created issues because companies just like Ice Fili could not patent or
trademark some of their best selling ice cream creations. Companies took advantage of this and put
their own twist on some of the highly profitable Ice Fili ice creams like the Lakomka.
As years progressed so did the technology. The equipment from factories underwent great changes,
drastically increasing the amount of gallons that were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Initially there was a limited amount of suppliers but as time went on there wasn t an issue with finding
one because there were many to choose from with the same raw materials. With that being said if they
were not happy with a price from one they could easily switch to another for a better cost.
Because there is such a variety of ice creams to choose from, the buyers have the power in this
industry. The variety of options available makes it more prone for buyers to not be loyal to one
specific brand. The all natural ingredients that Ice Fili used could be used a competitive advantage if
done so in an effective way. The natural ingredients also created an issue because they had a lower
shelf life which made it difficult for people to store and transport and therefore increasing costs.
Companies that are wanting to enter the ice cream industry in Russia have a fair chance of competing
with other competitors that are currently in the industry. As discussed earlier with the lack of the
Government role in the market it makes it easy for anyone to join and copy an existing company s
strategies and/or products. Russia was still using old technology so companies that are coming in from
abroad have an advantage on them because they are bringing equipment that is newer and more
efficient. Ice fili should follow in the footsteps of new technology while still maintaining their old
school ways. By investing in new technology it would allow them to create

Disadvantages Of Digital Watermarking
1.1 Overview
In recent years, the applications about multimedia have been developed rapidly. Digital media brings
about conveniences to the people, because it is easy to be processed. At the same time, it enables the
illegal attackers to attack the works. For the protection of data there has been growing interest in
developing effective techniques to discourage the unauthorized duplication of digital data. Digital
watermarking is the process of embedding information into a digital signal in a way that is difficult to
remove. Protection of digital multimedia content has become an increasingly important issue for
content owner and service providers. Watermarking is identified as a major means to achieve
copyright protection.
Due to the rapid and extensive growth of electronic publishing industry, data can now be distributed
much faster and easier. Unfortunately, engineers still see technical challenges in discouraging
unauthorized copying and distributing of electronic documents. Digital Watermarking represents an

Sophisticated watermark embedding is a potential method to discourage unauthorized copying or
attest the origin of the images. One approach used to address this problem is to add a visible or
invisible structure to an image that can be used to seal or mark it. These structures are known as digital
watermarks. Digital watermark is a kind of technology that embeds copyright information into
multimedia data. Each watermark method consists of an embedding algorithm and an extracting
algorithm. The embedding algorithm inserts the watermark information in the data and the extracting
algorithm decodes the watermark information. Some methods extract the whole watermark
information(decoder) and others determine only its existence(detector), the detection process decides
(yes) if the watermark is found and decides(no) if the watermark is

Robert Agnew General Strain Theory
Throughout history a lot of experts have tried to understand why some people feel the need to commit
crimes, even though there have been harsh laws enforced for those who commit crimes. These people
have come up with theories as to why people commit crimes to understand these theories, we must
understand what a crime is and understand the definition of theories.
Crime is a human conduct that violates the laws of a state or the federal government. There are
different ways people view criminal behaviors either through the view of the social problem
perspective which blames the society and the social responsibility which blames the person who
committed the crime. Through these two perspectives we get the idea of theories. A theory is a
comprehensive explanation about certain experiences which are based on facts that have been
gathered overtime. These theories explain the mental reason people are more pushed to commit
crimes. Theories like Robert Agnews General Strain Theory has given us an explanation as to
phenomena criminal behavior. In 1992 strain theory was reformulated by Robert Agnew and called the
general strain theory. Agnew felt as though that strain theory was not fully explaining the main reason
people are pushed to commit crimes, so he came up with a theory he felt was a better explanation and
a reason as to why crimes were committed.
The concept of general strain theory comes from the idea that people commit crimes to use it as a
means of copping with the

Using the scale of the moon and details of the surface of the planet, it was successfully communicated
how far the ship was from the ground. This sequence could have easily been shot straightforward and
would lack any excitement or dynamic. Johnston successfully create an interesting sequence through
varying the camera height and angle throughout the decent. The light colored Millennium Falcon is
always overlapping with some part of the dark void of space in each frame, causing it to be the focal
point of all shots. The texture of the planet becomes more recognizable as the ship moves closer to the
surface, communicating the changing distance between the ship and the planet. In addition to lack of
surface detail in the first 4 frames, the shape repetition changes from circular to organic and abstract.
This is a successful sequence due to the use of shape, value, and detail to communicate to the viewer
the story of the Millennium Falcon landing on a planet.
Two different sequences of two frames each, use similar techniques to communication the story. Both
sequences use the framing element of foreground environment and foreground figures to push focus to
what characters are looking at in the middle and backgrounds.
In the top set, the figures are looking at the vehicle in the bottom right corner of the first panel. The
camera is then taken closer to the vehicle to introduce the character driving it; Luke Skywalker, the

  • 2. Civil Services Immigrants All civil services examination aspirants are well attuned to the significance of making notes. But a handful of them really know the art of preparing effective, concise and readable in a short time notes. You need to go through these small notes a few days or even few hours before and/or the Mains exam. So it would not be exaggeration to say that the notes you prepare can decide your future in the exam. The first step is to maintain book, a dedicated register or even take down notes on flip cards or pages if you are comfortable with this method. Next, divide the pages by topics or months. In a specific month you could write events topic wise on each page or you could divide the register topic wise, like some pages devoted exclusively for sports, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 1954, the company began its first expansion outside of Minneapolis, MN to Rochester, MN. Later, the company began to look for way to strengthen its relationships with their guests and introduced a mass market discount store for shoppers looking for value. In 1962, this concept was called Target and made its first opening in Roseville, MN. The Dayton Corporation joined forces with J.L Hudson Company of Detroit in 1969 (having similar merchandising philosophies) to become one of the 15 largest non food retailers. • 4. Designing A Company For The Car Industry Essay Revival is a company I own for four years now. It s been a family company since 1963, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me over the years. Basically what this company does restores old classic cars and rejuvenates them. The shop was owned by my grandpa, then pass on to my dad. Unfortunately, my dad passed away of cancer, so he inherited the company to me because he knew I would still continue to keep Revival functioning properly. I like to preserve my company the way it is, as how it was first step up back in 1963. It just reminds me of the old memories when I first used to give a hand around the shop. I remember learning skills from my dad, on how to make business agreements with customers. The day I knew I wanted to work in the car industry, was when I first bought an 1950 Aston Martin for $1600 because the guy was paying too much for parking space a month. As a matter of fact, I told him what does he prefer, continuing to pay for rent or get rid of the car for once. That s the day when I first bought myself a car for an amazing deal. The market value for Aston Martins are significantly higher once it s all refurbished. Ever since then, I noticed easy potential money in the car industry. • 6. Hiroshima Point Of View This novel was written in a unique format in which the author, John Hersey, used third person point of view to introduce six ordinary people who have experienced a horrendous phenomenon. The first chapter depicts what occurred before the bomb struck. At the time, Hiroshima was conducting several night air raid warnings which prevented any civilians from getting their sleep. There were daily weather runs conducted by the Americans which the Japanese disregarded for they only worried over the B 29s. • 7. Critique Of John Maynard Keynes s Theory Of Demand For Money CRITIQUE OF KEYNES THEORY OF DEMAND FOR MONEY. Demand is the amount of goods and services that consumers are willing and able to buy at a particular price and place. It is the desire to purchase goods and services. Money is anything that is generally accepted as a means of payment for goods and services in a particular place. Several theories have been derived concerning the demand for money. Some of the economists that have postulated theories concerning demand for money includes: Irving Fisher, the Cambridge cash balance approach (put forward by Pigou and Marshall), Keynes theory, Milton Friedman s theory and so on. But this deals with the critique on the theory of demand for money by Keynes. Before one knows the critique to a theory, the theory needs to be understood itself. John Maynard Keynes wrote a book titled, The General Theory of employment, interest and money and here he gave in detail theory of demand for money. The theory postulated by Keynes is basically an extended version of the Cambridge Cash Balance approach. According to him, the demand for money is not the actual money balances held by people but what amount of money balances they want to hold. He believed people were not suffering from money illusion. Four people grabbed the phone to call dial, but the phone was dead so they rushed to the neighbor s house to call. Everyone was panicking about the situation. These people belonged to different cultures, different groups, and spoke different languages. They settled in places where they could find water and food. It s often thought that migration and immigration are the same and immigration came out of migration, which is NOT true. During seasons, birds migrate from one place to another. As the migration patterns reflected economic, social, and political development, the regulations for the number of immigrants and various types of immigrants were being strictly formulated. Most of the least attractive jobs in the country are being manned by illegal immigrants as they work at very low wages, sometimes even below the stipulated minimum wage. The employers try to exploit the situation of these laborers and make their personal pockets bulge with profits. Moreover, these illegal immigrants, as they are not legally attached to any payroll, they do not pay any taxes or any fee to the government. Illegal immigrants do not have proper health coverage, and thereby could not get medical attention when needed. So, they tend to land up in emergency room, which finally falls on legal taxpayers to bear the burden. Also, diseases which are not quite common in this country get into the country via the illegal immigrants posing a gigantic health threat. Another pile of cost to the taxpayers is children born to these illegal immigrants in this country. Taxpayers are left to scramble the rummages out of the ruin, while these parents quietly sit and watch. One of the main reasons why people illegally cross the border is that to get in legally, it is very difficult unless otherwise highly qualified. • 10. Disconnection And Alienation In St Patrick s College By... An author s personal experience gives authenticity to their text. Peter Skrzynecki, an Australian poet of Polish origin emigrated to Australia shortly before the end of World War II. His assimilation into his newfound homeland is portrayed in his emotive poetry, where he explores his disconnection and alienation. The way in which Skrzynecki writes about his personal experiences gives an authentic insight into the perspective of a migrant, allowing the audience to better understand the challenging emotions evoked by the migrant experience. These emotions are clearly seen in Skrzynecki s poem St Patrick s College, where he delves back through his experiences at school and highlights the disconnection and alienation he felt being a migrant. This disconnection is further expressed in Feliks Skrzynecki, where Skrzynecki alludes to his detachment from even his father. These feelings of disconnection and alienation shown by Skrzynecki in his poems, allows the audience to understand the effects of growing up as a migrant. The process of transitioning into a new context can put pressure on an individual to belong, leading to disconnection for the individual if they don t belong. Peter Skrzynecki was enrolled into a Catholic School after his family migrated from Europe to Australia. The effects of this change in context for Skrzynecki is portrayed in his poem St Patrick s College, where he gives authentic personal insight into the challenges faced by migrants growing up in a new ... • 11. Essay about The Possible Mechanisms of Scrapie Contraction The Possible Mechanisms of Scrapie Contraction Scrapie was first discovered in Great Britain in the late 1900 s. The first case of scrapie in the United States was found in Michigan in 1947 when the flock owner had imported sheep of British origin several years prior. Since then scientists have researched to find the cause of the scrapie agent that are classified as transmissible spongiform encephalopathy. At the present, scientists have presented three main theories that explain why the scrapie agent holds a dangerous threat against its host and how it elicits its symptoms. Scientists are finding genetic alternatives to prevent and dampen the spread of scrapie within sheep and goat flocks. They use methods such as tatoing and genetic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because of the mysterious nature of the disease, the origin of scrapie and the damage it causes the body can only be theorized. The three main theories of scrapie and its structure s effect on the symptoms it causes sheep and goats all present potential information about the disease and its cure (Scrapie Fact Sheet. August 2001: http://www.animalagriculture.org/scrapie/AboutScrapie/FactSheet.htm) The uncertainty of the origin and cause of scrapie is due to the insufficient research to find a solution to the epidemic because it is still considered a relatively new disease and not an immediate threat to humans. There have been three main theories of the cause of scrapie and its resistant nature to all previous experimental cures. The first theory is that the agent is a virus with unusual characteristics. The second theory is that the agent is a prion, which is an exclusively host coded protein that is modified to a protease resistant form after infection. The last theory is that the agent is a virino, a small nucleic acid coated with a host derived protective protein that allows it to resist scientists futile attempts at destroying it (Scrapie Fact Sheet. August 2001: http://www.animalagriculture.org/scrapie/AboutScrapie/FactSheet.htm). The first theory of the scrapie agent being an unusual virus presents a serious problem to scientists because viruses do not respond to antibiotics and other chemicals of that nature. GDP has decreased a minimal 0.2% in 2016, which followed a positive 2.8% contraction in 2015 (previously estimated to result in a 3.7% decrease by top analysts). Stricter monetary and fiscal policies, as well as a flexible exchange rate essentially ensured a much smaller GDP decline in 2015 and 2016 combined, versus in 2009, when economic strength significantly weakened by approximately 8%, despite higher oil prices. A huge conflict of the Russian labor market is something called hidden unemployment, which occurs when people are demanded to go on unpaid leave, or their working days/shifts are reduced significantly. • 13. The Seatbelt Law, By Thomas Hobbes, And Jean Jacques Rousseau INTRODUCTION Every day millions of people around the United States commute daily to work, and to run their errands. In almost every state in the United States, wearing a seatbelt is required. Many people ask why they should have to wear a seatbelt in their private vehicles, while others agree that everybody definitely should wear their seatbelt. Should the government be able to create and enforce this laws such as this one on the public? This paper will discuss the seatbelt law, the views of philosophers Thomas Hobbes, and Jean Jacques Rousseau, and whether or not this law is ethical. THOMAS HOBBES Thomas Hobbes (1588 1679) was an English philosopher who is best known for his work in political ethics. Hobbes had a pessimistic view of the human race, however his theory has been used as a major influence on western political views. In 1651, Thomas Hobbes wrote Leviathan, in which he states that life before government was violent, brutal, and barbaric. Hobbes continues on to argue that civil peace and social unity are best achieved by the establishment of a commonwealth through social contract. Leviathan consisted of four books: 1.) Of Man, 2.) Of Commonwealth, 3.) Of a Christian Commonwealth, and 4.) Of the Kingdom of Darkness. The first book contains the philosophical context, while the second book outlines the rights of the citizens within the commonwealth. • 14. Dalton Conley You May Ask Yourself Summary Dalton Conley describes labeling theory in Chapter 6 of You May Ask Yourself as the belief that individuals subconsciously notice how others see or label them, and their reactions to those labels over time form the basis of their self identity (Conley, 2011:203). In other words, over time, a person s self identity changes to fit the character other people impose upon them. An action itself isn t necessarily deviant unless society decides it is. Labeling theory can go either way, either positive or negative. While not necessarily deviant, an example of the self fulfilling (or Pygmalion) prophecy created by labeling is from You May Ask Yourself, Chapter 13. Conley (2011) makes reference to a study by Robert Rosenthal and Lenore Jacobson who administered IQ tests to a group of students. They then proceeded to randomly select a fifth of the students for their experiment, and communicated to their teachers that they were particularly bright (basically labelling them.) At the end of the year they retested all of the students, and found that the ones they had singled out as higher potential ended up performing better on the test than their peers. • 16. The Characteristics Of German Expressionism When emphasizing on Expressionism, it is difficult to describe the German Expressionism in a suitable manner, one that will paint the picture for passing verbal inquires. Its ominous tones, gloomy faces, eerie image, they are by design dependent on self experience to understand. Suiting the artistic styles of Expressionism, popularized the likes of Vincent van Gogh and Edward Munch, German Expressionism stands out to produce images that will express more subjective feelings to the viewer than the realistic portrayals of ordinary images (Darsa par. 1 2). After world war 2, the Weimar Republic took control of the UFA, a film community that began in World war 1 producing German propaganda, with a new direction of showing Germany s greatness by cultivating their own talent and stylings (Gazetas p41). Normally, defining German Expressionism without observing it in a way that you normally should would tarnish its achievements. The German Expressionist cinema pay a critical attention to detail towards films mise en scene. It is a landmark that is common in most of the great films such as Fritz Lang s Metropolis, F.W. Murnau s Nosferatu, and Robert Wiene s The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. As stated by Aristides Gazetas that the [German Expressionism] was developed upon the ways cinema images could evoke psychological states of being (p41). • 17. Smallpox Vaccines Essay The world is full of dangers some seen while others slip right under the radar until it is too late. According to the Merriam Webster online dictionary a vaccine is, a preparation of killed microorganisms, living attenuated organisms, or living fully virulent organisms that is administered to produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease. Before the invention of vaccines, the immune system was left fighting a losing battle against some of mankind s worst enemies, but with the help of vaccines humans have a tool to strengthen their immune system and fight back against these unseen killers. Vaccines defeat deadly viruses, strengthen society, and change lives. Invented by an English physician, Jenner Edwards, in 1796 vaccines have come to defeat many deadly viruses. Through experimentation and hard work, Jenner created the first vaccine for the deadly smallpox virus. Jenner spent much of his life researching and experimenting to find a way to beat smallpox, and in 1796 from the teats of cows Jenner invented the first effective smallpox vaccine. After infecting children with a small amount of cowpox, Jenner discovered that the children built up an immunity to the otherwise deadly smallpox virus (Helicon). He is 43 years old, married with four children, and currently resides in the Greater Toronto Area. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan where he lived in an extended family with his parents, brothers sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and their kids. He had moved to Canada on October 26th 1990, by himself, to fulfill his undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba in Computer Science and Math. He is now working at CGI as a Professional IT Manager. He describes himself as introverted, responsible, independent, hard working, driven, logical and analytical. This is evident throughout his interview, as he had a very analytical approach on observing advertisements. While Atif was growing up back in Pakistan, advertising was a lot less relevant because of where he was, who he was and how he interacted with the media. Firstly, there was only one channel that ran on TV from 5pm until 11pm. Though, only on Sundays, the channel started from early mornings. There were no 24 hour broadcasts. Very select commercials appeared on TV, that too mostly for necessity items. One that he remembers fondly is a commercial for toothpaste. What attracted Atif about this commercial was its catchy jingle. Mclain s Toothpaste! Did you Mclain your teeth today? The kids then would chant back Twice a day, every day! Complex Relationships Between Characters in A Dollhouse by Henrik Ibsen A Dollhouse by Henrik Ibsen is the story of one woman s struggle to free herself from a world of guilt and false livelihood. The story is based on the author s own account of a fellow friend and journalist named Laura Peterson Kieler who was burdened with a hidden crime just as Nora, the main character, is(Ibsen, 1785). According to Ibsen, Kieler illegally borrowed money with the help of a bank associate by forging the signature of her wealthy father. The money was used to pay for her ailing husband s medical needs. The titled dollhouse is created because of the way they act toward each other. Nora, being Torvald s baby and unmovable attachment, and Torvald being the domineering master of the household. Their entire relationship is based on a false sense of reality created by their baby like banter and the nievity in which they carry out the day to day actions of their lives. For example, Torvald calls Nora his little lark (Ibsen, 1668) and little squirrel (Ibsen, 1668). Although this simple name calling may be considered romantic and loving, there is a hidden side to both characters that is concealed in these childish actions. Helmer grows accustom to being the father figure to Nora and in essence begins to believe in its false meaning. Their relationship is need based not only from a financial standpoint but from the need for future respect as well. The author states Nora is happy because she sees the future in wholly economic terms. (Hemmer, 1790) Nora has to keep her doll like image to ensure her future and also to keep her secrets and true identity from being revealed.(Ibsen, 71) She believes that if her strong independent side is shown to her husband he will find out all the things she is hiding including her criminal relationship with Krogstad. Torvald keeps his place in the acting dollhouse because he has hidden feelings like Nora s that will ruin his good guy reputation if out in the open. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 21. The Importance Of Art Funding For Education Essay The Importance of Art Funding According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, art is defined as something that is created with imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings ( Art ). With that being said, it is almost essential that art is maintained as a general course required for every student to take. While having art classes in schools available for students is important, it is also equally as important for the school funding for the art programs to be regulated throughout each district. By using a simple student to teacher ratio to determine how much money should be allotted to each teacher, this reoccurring problem could be solved for good. One of the main problems in the art program throughout the United States is the regulation of funding within the program. For example, while one teacher has one hundred students and another may have seventy, the teacher with seventy students gets a budget of five hundred dollars when the teacher with one hundred gets only three hundred and fifty. On top of that, not only is it unfair to the individual teachers, but it is also happening all over the United States to teachers in the same district. In an article about secondary art programs, it states that the art teacher at School Number Two was operating with 78% of the funds as the teacher at School Number One. Because the two schools are within the same district, this is a difference that seemingly defies explanation (Kraft 55). While ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The beginning of the voyage details a normal trip with the weather being beneficial to the mariners. However, after a storm blows all of the mariners to the Antarctic, nature starts to revolt. This shift is used as a literary device to both further the narrative and to communicate the change in tone. Coleridge uses the shift in nature as a means to describe the ancient mariner s punishment. The first instance of nature the Ancient Mariner describes is when the ship sets sail. Robert Agnew General Strain Theory Throughout history a lot of experts have tried to understand why some people feel the need to commit crimes, even though there have been harsh laws enforced for those who commit crimes. These people have come up with theories as to why people commit crimes to understand these theories, we must understand what a crime is and understand the definition of theories. Crime is a human conduct that violates the laws of a state or the federal government. There are different ways people view criminal behaviors either through the view of the social problem perspective which blames the society and the social responsibility which blames the person who committed the crime. Through these two perspectives we get the idea of theories. A theory is a comprehensive explanation about certain experiences which are based on facts that have been gathered overtime. These theories explain the mental reason people are more pushed to commit crimes. Theories like Robert Agnews General Strain Theory has given us an explanation as to phenomena criminal behavior. In 1992 strain theory was reformulated by Robert Agnew and called the general strain theory.
