lover of history I found the concept of a British war in the Soudan to be far more intriguing than the

In this case the setting is perfect on account of the humans having a small sense of hope in their
machinery, but not enough technology to really compete.
Characters are not a big part of this book. The main one, who never reveals his name, is the only one
who in fact does not always go with the craziness of the public. He does have his moments of running
away screaming and hiding, but he learns more about himself, mankind, and the aliens than anyone
else in the book. He has loved ones in England and hates the aliens for what they do to his home, yet
he understands what the aliens are trying to do. First person is a good way to write this kind of book

Other characters are the aliens, who seem to be ugly heads that talk with their minds. The physical
characteristics they possess are far different from humans and they never communicate with the

book. The two seem to agree on the way things will work out, and both would rather live than die
fighting. They play many games together, eat and talk and even spend the night out in the English
countryside together.

What is Self Image?
A person s self image can depend on many factors, to include internal/external and perceived/actual.
Their answer when asked What do you believe people think about you? can provide a very succinct
view of their self image and possibly how it is formed. The concept of self is derived from many traits
usually perceived as demographic information (gender, height, weight, race, etc.) but also other less
measurable components such as personal experiences or internalized judgements from others.
Self image may consist of three types:
1. Self image resulting from how the individual sees himself or herself.
2. Self image resulting from how others see the individual.
3. Self image resulting from how the individual perceives others see him or her.
These three types may or may not be an accurate representation of the person. All, some or none of
them may be true.
Cognitive and social psychologists have given self image a more technical term self schema which
refers to a summary of a person s beliefs, experiences and generalizations about the self. Self schema
is based on many aspects including personal interests, traits and physical characteristics.

In Twelve Angry Men, the prosecution and the defense have rested and the jury is filing into the jury
room to decide if a young Spanish American boy is innocent or guilty of murdering his father. What
starts out as an open and shut case of murder becomes instead a mini drama of each of the jurors lives,
preconceptions and prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused and ultimately, each
other. Based on the stage play, all of the film s action takes place in the jury room. On the surface, the
case appears to be open and shut due to several facts: 1) The defendant possess only a weak alibi 2) a
knife the boy claimed to have lost is then found at the murder scene by the police 3) several witnesses

Young Goodman Brown is about a man who, unbeknownst to his wife, goes on a journey into the

Borrelia burgdorferi, the causative bacterial agent for Lyme Disease, has persisted for thousands of
years. Recently, scientists have found genetic remains of the bacteria from a mummy dating back
5,300 years (National Geographic, 2011). However, Borrelia burgdorferi was not classified and
identified as the putative source for Lyme Disease until the early 1980 s.
After mysterious and untreatable symptoms appeared in children and adults of the city of Lyme,
Connecticut, the goal for many clinical microbiologists was to discover the source of disease and
possible cures. It wasn t until Dr. Willy Burgdorfer made a connection between the infected populace
and tick bites when the bacteria was truly discovered (bayarealyme.org). It was then the bacterium

Borrelia burgdorferi have many defining characteristics. The spirochete shape distinguishes the
bacterium from other human pathogens. Borrelia burgdorferi is considered a microaerophile it thrives
in environments of low oxygen. However, it can also be classified as an obligate anaerobe
(wisegeek.org). It is considered a weak gram negative bacteria, but is better characterized as a diderm
(Wikipedia). This means that the bacterium has two cell membranes, thus making gram staining

Italian Fascism is an authoritarian and nationalistic system of government and social organization, it
was the political result of the relationship between socialist and nationalist rhetoric. It is a form of

and sameness rather than individualism. In order to promote their totalitarian ideals during the 1930s
to 1945 fascist politicians such as Benito Mussolini, who had previously been a socialist newspaper

well profits are being generated based on capital employed. RadioShack s ROCE dropped down to
34% in 2013 in comparison to 10% in 2012. For every dollar of capital employed, RadioShack is
