NFL Protest Observation
Fila Bates Patrick Jehle Writing and Rhetoric II November 8, 2017 NFL Protest Observation The
American flag represents this so called notion of equality and patriotism, even though it was
used alongside with the pledge of allegiance to capitalize on the people s love of the country. The
current controversy is that protest at NFL games is not only disrespectful to the country, but is
also a disrespect to our armed forces who fought for our constitutional rights, this paper is simply
an observation piece that will discuss the various arguments surrounding the NFL protest and will
explore people s current feelings toward the silent protest. Many members of the U.S military
have come to Collin Kaepernick s defense in the aftermath of the protest. Kellie Johnson a former
military personal talk about how the protests are simply representations of their freedom of
expression and that people should stop focusing on the anthem and start focusing on the reasons
for the protest. She even speculates that majority of people who complain about kneeling are the
same ones in the stands of sporting events looking at their phones, which is a form of disrespect to
the flag. So, you can start to see that the same people who worship the flag commit actions that
devalues its worth in America as well. The factiousness symbolized in the American flag distorts
people s perspective of how equality and justice should be upheld in this country. Meghan Lindsey a

Invasion Into Italy Essay
The invasion into Italy was when he Allies decided to target Italy, which lay to the north, across
the Mediterranean sea. On July 10, 1943, the Allies began their invasion of Axis controlled Europe
with landings on the island of Sicily, off mainland Italy. Encountering little resistance from
demoralized Sicilian troops, Montgomery s 8th Army came ashore on the southeast part of the
island, while the U.S. 7th Army, under General George S. Patton, landed on Sicily s south coast.
Within three days, 150,000 Allied troops were ashore. On August 17, Patton arrived in Messina

In the first phase of this newest campaign, Allied bombers destroyed the ancient monastery on top
of Monte Cassino in the mistaken belief that it served as a German observation tower. The Allies
were wrong and their misguided attack alienated Catholics around the world. In September 1944,
the invasion of Italy came to end. Allied commanders on the ground believed they were poised to
crush the German line that stretched from Pisa to Florence. Allied commanders in Washington and
London decided that the cross channel invasion of France launched the previous in June. An
invasion of Southern France. Therefore, divisions were transferred from Italy to this new theater.

The Lord Of Literature By. R. Tolkien
Caleb CassidyHonors English Literature 9/14/16 4th hour J.R.R Tolkien, The lord of Literature
Poet and author J.R.R. Tolkien is held by many as one of the greats within English literature. He
was a master of writing and teaching, and he showed excellence in academia, prose, and poetry.
He left an everlasting impact on the world of literature by using his great understanding of
language and his talent of creating mythical lands of consistent excellence. Tolkien started his
life in tragedy, but used his circumstances to his advantage in his latter life and within his literary
career. A man of higher intellect than most was Tolkien, which is what contributed to making
him an amazing writer and poet. On January 3, 1892 John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was born to
Mabel and Arthur Tolkien in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Arthur Tolkien was a bank clerk from
the U.K. who left for South Africa in the 1890s for better chances of promotion (Doughan).
Mabel Tolkien, maiden name Suffield, was from the city of Birmingham in the West Midlands of
Britain. At the age of eighteen Mabel Suffield became engaged to Arthur Tolkien. The two were
destined for marriage, but Mabel s father forbade them from marrying for three years. During their
three year betrothal Mabel and Arthur exchanged letters to keep in touch ( Mabel Tolkien ). When
the three years were up Mabel sailed to Cape town South Africa to marry Arthur, and so began the
Tolkien family. Mabel and Arthur were married on April 16,

Normal Aging
What?
Description:
Normal aging brings about inevitable and irreversible changes. These normal aging changes are
partially responsible for the increased risk of developing health related problems within the elderly
population. I associated being old with decline, disability, disease and death. However, reflecting on
realities of ageing and my grandfather s health, I realized that ageing does not imply only declining
health, but it is also associated with wellness. My grandfather is 88 years old. I had always been
lucky to have my grandparents healthy. However, this changed about 10 years ago when my
grandfather had a heart problem and had to get coronary angioplasty, which caused him to require
extra care from my grandmother and family.
Response:
Watching my family deal with my grandfather during that situation made me aware of the care and
services the elderly need. I thought after having a stent placement, his health ... Show more content

How people view and perceive the aging process varies greatly from culture to culture. However,
in my opinion, it is important to understand that the older adults are much more capable than
everybody else because they have so much more knowledge and experience. Maybe they aren t
more capable physically, but in many other ways they really exceed everyone else s capability.
They all have different personalities, needs, health issues and age related changes. According to
Boundless (2016), Research on age related attitudes in the United States consistently finds that
negative attitudes exceed positive attitudes toward older people because of their looks and
behavior (Aging and Ageism, para. 2). As a student nurse, reflecting on my values and beliefs helps
to guide my nursing practice and hopefully, I will be able to put an end on stigmatization associated
with ageism (stereotyping and discrimination of the older adults) that affect their self esteem,

Ah Are You Digging On My Grave Essay
Ah, Are You Digging on My Grave? by English poet Thomas Hardy was published on September
27, 1913. In this deliberative poem, Hardy uses a dialogue form to carry out the story of a
deceased woman who is wondering who the digger of her grave is and desiring that someone she
love is missing her. Finally, through a devastating disappointment it turns out that the diggerwas
only her dog burying its bone. Though out the poem, Thomas Hardy s uses a humorous tone to
depict the theme of No love or hate outlasts deaththat everyone eventually will be forgotten after
time; with personification, repetition, ironyand symbolism, Hardy effectively created a somber,
disappointed and negative view on human state.

As mentioned in the poem, My loved one? Planting rue? (l. 2) Rue has two meanings. It can be
the leaves of a plant with bitter, strongly scented smell or it can means regret and sorrow. It
symbolizes the bad relationship between the dead woman and her husband. As the other meaning,
regret and sorrow is what the woman thought her husband should be experiencing. When
someone dies, people usually put beautiful flowers beside the grave. However, she believes that
her husband will plant rue instead if he even came. Therefore, readers can see the worse
relationship between them. Further more, in the last stanza of this poem it states, to bury a bone
(l. 32), this statement also has a deeper meaning than what it means literally, it also symbolizes the
death of the woman. It implies that how people she knew while she was alive now view on her. To
them, she is just a bunch of bones, meaning she is not

Diego Rivera s Painting The Flower Carrier
Diego Rivera s famous painting, The Flower Carrier, is immensely encoded with significant
social and cultural messaging. Rivera paved a path for many artists to express powerful social
ideas through the medium of art and forms. The Flower Carrier allowed immeasurable masses of
people to change the way in which they interact with the world; it had the power to alter the
spectator s worldview by giving them truth through visual story telling. Examining this piece
offers a clear lens into the socio political climate of the entire time period in which it lays and

Diego Rivera was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, where he was began his interest in drawing at an
early age. He began his study of art at the age of ten, where he attended the San Carlos Academy
of Fine Arts in Mexico City. After years of study at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts, Rivera
left Mexico to study art across Europe. His travels landed him at the feet of many immensely
inspirational artists and art movements. He was acquainted with Pablo Picasso during the beginning
of Cubism and adopted these influences, becoming an established artist in the time of economic
unrest. Rivera began adopting ideas of Marxism, which pushed him to understand the spectacle
and power of art. Rivera then moved back to Mexico and began using his art to empower the
individual in the face of capitalistic oppression. His early art upon his return to Mexico was
focused around socially engaging murals, highlighting the plight of the lower working class
and indigenous Mexican heritage. This medium of art spoke to the masses, gifting all citizens
with the beauty of art without the bias of a single entity. In her book, Akira to Zoltan: twenty six
men who changed the world, Autor Cynthia Chin Lee explains the significance of this medium
in the way Rivera used it. She states that Rivera wanted art for all, not just the rich, and his art
decorated areas where everyone could see them: in schools, plazas, and public buildings. (Chin
Lee 7) Being free of museum bias or hegemonic forces that would make his art a commodity,
Rivera was able to speak to all citizens, regardless of their class. His pieces related to the human
condition and interpolate the viewers to understand themselves in a new and radical fashion. This
is the power that visuals and art have, to make us feel a certain emotion or perceive the world

The Night With Her Husband At Her Side Essay
Audra slept fitfully that night with her husband at her side. Harboring this secret, the fact she
loved another man, made her feel as if she was doing a terrible wrong every moment of every day.
Would Carlton eventually be able to read it in her eyes? Hear her love for Maxen in her voice? And
further, did Audra loveCarlton? It seemed possible to love two men at the same time. Audra felt a
closeness to Carlton, an affinity for the man. She respected him. Cared for him. But after what he
d done, the weeks and weeks on end where he d been unwilling or unable to give up Owena, she
wondered if true, honest love for the man would ever manifest.
On occasion, after they made love, Audra experienced a deep connection to Carlton. But if she was
being honest with herself, that closeness didn t match her intense love for Maxen.
There seemed to be no reasonable solution to this quandary. The only solution was to stop loving
Maxen and love her husband. It sounded so simple to the ear, yet impossible for the heart.
Further, there was no one with whom she could discuss this situation. No one except... Rignuth?
She trusted him, and he trusted her in return. Still, to share something so dark and intimate didn t
seem like a good idea. If the matter was ever exposed, even accidentally... too risky.

Definition Of Humor
What is the definition of humor? That is the question psychologist and philosophers are trying to
define. Humor seems to be in a vague category that no one seems to have a simple explanation
for. It is a mystery and can be defined as a variety of different definitions and can go in a variety
of different directions. Many scientists have only recently studied humor as a topic and they
have stated that humor was defined as a taboo or trivial systematic inquiry. ( Harre and Lamb).
Humor has been around since the Greek times but it was never a concrete topic. It has always
seemed abstract, but in the last 100 years behavioral scientist has been trying to dig deep into the
word and try to give it a definition. Everyone s sense of humor varies and can be different in
everyone. Some may have a dry sense of humor, sarcastic sense of humor, a dark sense of humor

Summary Of The Unicorn By Dr. Wright
Jayna burst into the clearing on the back of the unicorn. Chaos recognized her immediately.
You!
Jayna demanded, Let them go evil thing!
She was a little disappointed her voice was back to normal, her goddess voice was much more
intimidating. Her heart thumped so hard with fear that she thought it would bruise her ribs.
You re the easiest of all, said the black thingin a voice she recognized. It was Dr. Wright s.
Already Wright s body was being deformed by the being that cohabited it, but when Jayna pulled
out her glowing sword, there was enough of him left that she recognized him. She shuddered when
she realized this would have been her fate if that thing was still inside of her. The thing extended its
hand in her direction and black tendrils rose up out of the ground and wrapped around the unicorn s
legs. Then Jayna s world faded away and she woke up in another.

rates to continuing customers. The recurring transaction model helped consumers adopt the
discipline of selecting films each week but without pressure. Furthermore, this process allowed
consumers to order movies through a centralized and regional warehouse mechanism created

Likewise, customization and personalization allowed Netflix users to save lists of preferred

partnerships with other company s was a key strategic focus for Netflix. It was clear that paying
upfront and buying movies at market cost would tie up both cash and inventory. Alliances with
movie studios would give them a share of profits and equity, and a new distribution channel for film

During the 1920 s and 1930 s Australia began to see a rise in political activism among the
Aboriginal people. During this time period Australia saw Aboriginal political organizations being
founded in New South Wales, Western Australia, Victoria, and South Australia: the AAPA, The
Native Union, the AAL, the Australian Aborigines Association (AAA), the Euralian Association,
and the Aborigines Progressive Association (APA) (Attwood, 1999). All of these political

levels. The two organizations that were somewhat successful at becoming national organizations

Arthur Burdeu was considered the creator of the Australian Aborigines League, which formed in the
1930 s. The major significance that lead to the AAL becoming a national organization rather than a
local organization was set in how the members viewed the role of the League. Arthur Burdeu

Self Discovery In Jane Eyre
The paper intends to explore the theme of self discovery through the act of journey in Anita Nair
s Ladies Coupe. Travel narratives are broad genres which illuminate mainly on people, place and
culture. Journeys form the focal point of every travel narrative. In literature, the motif of
journey is used as a distinctive idea or theme and is used to represent a character s epiphany or
self realization. It provides a personal assertion outside the compressed state of one s life. Journey
is seen as a means of confrontation and as an act of self discovery throughout the novel Ladies
Coupe. Ladies Coupe deals with a womans quest for strength and independence. Women should

Once we are exposed to the variety of cultures and mentalities of the world, we acquire a broad
perspective which gives the freedom to step out of the society constructed image of ourselves and
to become the person who we really are. Moreover, travel fills our body, soul and mind with
strength and positivity and all our thoughts, words, actions and emotions will then radiate from this
inner core.
Merriam Webster s Encyclopedia of Literature defines travel literatureas:
Non fiction prose form that depends largely on the wit, powers of observation, and character of the
traveler for its success. In the past centuries, the traveler tended to be an adventurer or a
connoisseur of art, landscape, or strange customs who may also have been a writer of merit.
(Kuiper 1128)
Travel narratives are prose forms which are written out of traveler s personal experience and they
are considered as an important genre of literary study. They are records of places, people and events
of a particular region from the traveler s point of view.
Roy Bridges, a critic on travel narrative comments on the significance of the genre in The
Cambridge Companion to Travel Writing:
Travel writing... has a complex relationship with the situations in which it arouse. It is taken to
mean a discourse to describe and interpret for its readers a geographical area together with its
natural attributes and its human society and culture. Travel writing may embrace approaches

According to Dr. Christine Williams of the American Health Foundation in Valhalla, New York;
children who have parents who smoke are more likely to smoke as well as they get bigger.
Williams also states that parents who do not want their children to smoke must quit themselves.
Children learn what they live, it s not enough for parents to say, do what I say and not what I do ,
Williams said. She also believes that advertisements play a very strong role in influencing the
children. (Philippine Journal, November 20, 1998) Parents are the single most important influence
on their children s decision to smoke, drink, or use drugs, yet many parents do not fully understand
the extent of their influence. (Philip Morris USA, n.d.) Kids do understand that smoking is
dangerous, but many of them try it anyway out of curiosity, low self esteem, peer pressure, the
need to establish their own independent identities, and to rebel against their parents. (Rodrigo
Cuenca, M., Philippine Star, p. E 1, August 5, 2003) According to the book, Peddling Poison: The
Tobacco Industry and Kids, Many young people have the false impression that the effect of
smoking and other tobacco use are problems they will only have to face much later in life. Many
youth who start smoking think they can quit the habit easily. (Snell, C., 2005) Another reason is
related to physical appearance. Prof. Arthur Crisp of St. George s Hospital in London says, We

Analysis Of The Movie James Bond
Goldfinger Character Analysis Rough Draft James Bond is widely known for being a cunning
secret agent who will do everything to save whatever is in danger, anything from the world to an
attractive female, and doing even more just to get the girl. This may be so in the movie depictions,
but in the novels, James Bondcan be depicted as a bumbling alcoholic who stumbles onto the right
answers. James Bond s successes are circumstantial by his actions, losses, and interactions with a
variety of characters from Ian Fleming s seventh James Bond novel, Goldfinger. Ian Fleming was
born on May 28, 1908 in London, United Kingdom. Fleming worked as a journalist, news agent,
and merchant banker throughout his life. During World War II, as a high

Implementing A Traditional 401 ( K ) Plan
Recommended Plan
We recommend that SmartKidz initiate a traditional 401(k) plan. A traditional 401(k) plan is a
defined contribution plan for for profit organizations. In this plan, employees are allowed to
contribute a percentage of their salary before taxes up to a maximum contribution, which is
$18,000 as of 2015 (IRS). In addition, employers may choose to add to each employee s 401(k)
plan through matching each individual contribution or providing a one time lump sum. Each
employee has a tax deferred account where he or she is able to choose where to allocate his or her
contributions. For example, mutual funds and target funds are common investment options.
Overall, a retirement plan, such as a traditional 401(k), is the key to a ... Show more content on

In addition, there is more portability for retirement savings; 401(k)s can be rolled over into IRAs if
employees change companies. This is a significant benefit for millennials who are expected to
remain with companies for 3 5 years before switching. Further, as for retirement plans similar to a
Roth or Safe Harbor, a traditional 401(k) is less expensive and easier to manage. However, these
types of plans can be added on later, if SmartKidz would desire.
Suggested Provisions
In a preliminary outline of the plan, we have several key suggestions. First, SmartKidz should
allow both full time and part time employees to contribute to a 401(k) plan. Although part time
employees may result in higher administrative costs as a result of the high turnover associated
with this category of workers, it is very important for these employees to be able to contribute to
retirement plans. All of SmartKidz part time employees are between the ages of 25 and 65; they
are not high school students trying to earn a paycheck. Your part time employees are part time for a
reason pregnancy, disability, and other household duties so to accomplish your goal of showing
respect and dignity, you should allow them to put money towards their future. In addition, allowing
every employee to contribute would reduce the possible tension between full time and part time
employees and increase the overall morale. Additionally, it could even reduce the turnover in part

In the last decades of the Victorian period, East London was predominantly inhabited by the
working classes. The working classes mainly consisted of the native English population, Irish
immigrants, and immigrants belonging to Central and Eastern Europe and German Jews, many of
whom were living in extreme poverty and great numbers of these immigrants were residing in
Whitechapel. It can be suggested through research, that the Whitechapel murders helped historians
to develop their understanding about the viewpoint that many people had in regards to immigrants,
specifically those who belonged to the working class. This can be demonstrated through the fact
that although there was no evidence to prove that the killer was a person who belonged to the
Jewish community, a number of newspapers continued to broadcast and support the view that the
murders were foreign in character. Historian, Blair, writes, the exacerbated pre existing anti
Semitism and put Jews in an unfortunate position of being a very convenient scapegoat on which
to vent frustrations and fears of the working class (Blair, 1996:490). This point can help in many

Persuasive Essay On Fashion
Do you want to make a unique fashion statement on your special occasion? Are you attending
your prom, a wedding or a cocktail party? Then, vintage dresses are the way to go! While others
are stuck in the routine combination of dresses for their prom or special occasions, vintage dresses
are original choices you can go for, to stand out and rock the place.
The old is fashionable! The vintage look does not stop being in style, and when you add some 50s
dresses to your wardrobe or solely for the occasion, you display a unique taste that always stands
out, no matter the occasion. By the way, this should not be confused with the use of second hand
clothing.
While the word vintage refers to old clothes, this does not mean that you have to use broken or
time worn models. This can be counterproductive and evoke a negative image instead of the good
look which is the original goal. The goal is to wear garments that look good in order to create a
timeless look at the same time.
Vintage dresses, like all the dresses we find in stores, should be tested and checked very carefully if
it has flaws. If you like dresses inspired by the past, you will love the optical or geometric prints of
the 70s, classic black dresses or flared jeans from the 60s or flowers and laces of the 50s that will
take us much further back in time.
By definition, a dress is considered a vintage dress if it goes from the 20 s to the 80 s. This style is
generally welcomed and used by people who give special value to classic dresses. If you are
passionate about or identify with this style, we recommend you invest in some beautiful 50s
vintage dresses.
Generally, vintage dresses stand out for their exclusivity, high quality and distinction. In fact,
vintage dresses are the great passion of the fashion world fans and a source of inspiration for haute
couture designers. As you already know, celebrities are vintage fans! So, when you buy yourself
some vintage dresses, you are basically rocking your celebrity identity.
So, how do you combine your vintage dresses for your special occasion, to create a look that is
current and not outdated?
The truth is that, there is no perfect answer to this. This is because your personal taste plays an
essential role

The Impact Of Labour Flexibility On The International...
Research critically discuss the implications of labour flexibility on the international management of
Human Resources.
Introduction
In order to sustain in the business market and meet the consumer demands, the organizations and
the employers of 21st century are required to come up with new methods and unbeatable prices of
products and services. Moreover due to the emergence of globalisation, these organizations are
bound to apply cost cutting approach (lower wage approach), which influences the shifts in
workforce composition, labour utilization and labour demand. (Rani, 2000) This shift leads to what
can be defined as labour flexibility . According to Standing (1999), the term can be defined as a rise
in new technologies, development ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example: One of the outcome of globalization is labour flexibility, now if we consider labour
flexibility and portray it into Giddens idea, we can see that in order to meet the demands of the
consumers, firms are constantly looking for a workforce which can easily adapt to the changes
in the preferences and choices of the market. Globalisation not only plays an important role in
these changes of trends whether it is measured in political, social or economical aspect but also it
is formulating them. So in a way the term can be described as a meta myth (Bradley et al, 2000).
On the other side, stating it as an argument the concept of globalisation has no particular definition
or a particular way of how things will be affected due to its existence. There are two different
extreme views that contradict each other, there are the hyper globalists who argues that
globalisation has decreased the autonomy of governments and has increased individual autonomy,
which has reduced the power of governments or state domination on market regulation. On the
other side, there are Neo Marxists who believes that it has created a capitalist based economy that

The Negative Analysis Of Animal Cruelty Video By Sarah...
Envision the average American household having a lovely time watching advertisements on the
television when suddenly a commercial about animal abuse plays and they hear Angel by Sarah
McLachlan. It s the famous commercial that tugged at everyone s heartstrings back in 2007 (http:/
/www.redbookmag.com/life/pets/news/a41805/sarah mclachlan aspca commercial/), but the reason
for its popularity can be described with the elements of an argument. Indeed, an argument is being
made with those sad puppy eyes, and it is one that s being made to appeal the crying audience. The
animal cruelty video by the ASPCA featuring Sarah McLachlanis an example of a successful
advertisement for these reasons: it s use of emotion, logic, and credibility.
The first, and most prominent, reasoning behind the commercial is emotion, or pathos. An
argument should include an emotional connection to the audience to make logic and credibility
more humanizing. The two minute video primarily includes clips of previously abused animals,
the staff caring for them, and singer Sarah McLachlan talking about how the viewers can help.
Reason one that the argument is effective in the use of emotion would be the use of animals. The
clips used include dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens whimpering or looking sad. These were meant to
evoke an emotion to the individuals, and hopefully ignite the compassion needed to donate to
ASPCA. It gained popularity from the sadden reactions of people, and for good reason. To quote

A Rollercoaster Ride
I was standing in line with my sister and cousin waiting to get on the Viper . We were at Six

then we decided to go on the roller coaster. This was going to be my very first ever roller coaster

The voice told us about the precautions of the roller coaster that I had already heard a million times

Then the roller coaster jerked forward and we were off. We went up slowly and I was ready for a

Unfulfilled Dreams In Harlem By Langston Hughes
Are dreams really dreams if they are never pursued? One may always think that dreams are
pursuable but never considers what happens if dreams are disregarded. We all have hopes and
dreams for the future but imagine not being able to achieve those dreams and become constantly
denied from simple things such as your own rights. Have you ever thought about how postponed
dreams can impact your life? The upsetting question of what happens to a dream deferred? is one
taken seriously by Langston Hughes, an American poet. Since this poem was written in 1951, many
African Americans were limited to achieve the American Dream. Striving for equality and freedom
was still in action for African Americans; their hopes and dreams were constantly denied, seeming
unattainable. In Harlem (A Dream Deferred), Hughes explores the possible consequences of
unfulfilled dreams to demonstrate what might happen if dreams are ignored and kept from society.

should be a goal that is set in our lives. Sometimes people tend to postpone their dreams because
of certain circumstances they face in life. However, when these circumstances are gone, one
should go back and fulfill their dreams. The potential effects that were portrayed in his poem
emphasize that the longer you delay your dream, the more the dream will less likely become true
or fulfilled. Thus, Hughes poem suggests that people should go after their dreams and never delay

Sagrada FamГlia, but this time it was clearly a change for the better. Del Villar wanted to use ashlar
columns in his design, a technique far more expensive than building up the interior with
rubblework, than covering them with ashlar. This started arguments with the Foundation, who
criticized De Villar for spending too much unnecessary money on the project. De Villar resigned
because he was not happy that his plans were not being followed, and the foundation chose 31 year
old architect Antoni Gaudi as successor. Although the Foundation and Gaudi were equally excited
to be working together on this project, neither party had any idea just how magnificent of a
masterpiece they were destined to create.
Gaudi s plans adapted the work begun by de Villar

Moral Story Of Cinderella
Many times, people dream of being the protagonists of a Disney movie and thus live in a fantasy
world where they are happy forever. It is easy to create the illusion that in the world of princesses
everything is perfect and beautiful. In fact, behind these stories hides a reproduction of the purest
and harsh truth of the real life in which we live, where events they are not isolated, and they all
have a direct impact on people s lives and change them either positively or negatively. So, are these
fairy tales true stories of happiness?
The film Cinderella tells the story of a lovely girl with a very pure heart who had everything in life.
She was pleased, had a beautiful family, a house, and goods, and most importantly, much love.
Although her family possessed some riches, she was raised in an environment of kindness,
kindness, compassion, and love for the animals she considered her friends, especially the little
mice. When his mother dies, her father marries a kind woman with two daughters and a cat, or at
least that was what he thought about his new wife, whom Cinderella warmly receives at home.
Cinderella s stepmother pretended all along to be an adorable housewife capable not only of being
a good mother to her own daughters but to the daughter of her husband. Everything changes the day
Cinderella s father passed away. From that moment, the girl begins to be a victim of abuse,
mistreatment, and humiliations of her evil stepmother and her spoiled and jealous stepsisters.

Hitchhiker s Guide To The Galaxy Analysis
A great example of sci fi parody is The Hitchhiker s Guide to the Galaxy. This movie is about a
man named Arthur Dent, who is trying to make it by after the Earth was destroyed in order to
make way for a construction project (The Hitchhiker s). This movie is extremely random and the
plot does not have one straight line. It is very hard to follow and the goals of the heroes are
constantly changing. The main thing this movie did was critique society. Even though the Earth
was destroyed in the first twenty minutes of this movie, the traditions of the Earth were constantly
ridiculed through the science fictionaspect. One example of this can be seen through the alien
creatures named the Vogons. The Vogons are fat, leathered skinned beasts that

They are cruel, heartless, and only care about the system by which they live. This is a critique of
the people who run our society. This is saying how terrible and inefficient our bureaucratic system
is. They use the science fiction element to separate us a little from the reality of it all and then
they use the parody to make us see how ridiculous our society really is. There was a lot of
critiquing society in this movie and it was done in this pattern of separation and explanation. One
of the main characters in this movie was the President of the galaxy named Zaphod (The
Hitchhiker s). Zaphod has a lot of science fiction characteristics that separate him from our world.
One of his characteristics is that he has two heads. The parody of him is that throughout the film
was showing how clueless and vain he was. This parody of his cluelessness shows how
politicians can be. The character of Zaphod was meant to comment on the fake two headed
politicians of our society. They are just meant to stand there, smile, and let someone else do all the
work. Zaphod is just a figurehead and the writer is implying that this is what the people who are
running are country

Honesty In Othello
William Shakespeare is a classic writer and has written several plays. One of his famous plays
he has written was Othello. There are several roles that show throughout the play; false
friendship, race, and gender roles. Iago portrayed himself as honest and truthful, which allowed
him to earn Othello trust. This is what we can see as false friendship and is explicitly in the play.
He hath a person and a smooth dispose to be suspected, framed to make women false. The moor is
of a free and open nature, that thinks men honest that but seem to be so... (Act I, Scene III, 400
403) Iagowas very good at saying the right things at the right time. As the story progresses we see
that Iago not only lied to Othellobut lied to each character along the way. Roderigo and Iago was
false friendship because he was using Roderigo to seek revenge on Othello. Iago tells Othello he
loves Othello so much and that is why he questions about Desdemona honesty towards him. He
apologizes to Othello for loving him so much. ... I humbly do beseech you for your pardon, for
too much loving you. (Act III, scene III, 211 212) Throughout the story I have realized that Iago
misled each character to their downfalls. He is a master manipulator as the audience can all see.
There was an analogy in the play that Iago reference too about gardening and free will. ... Our
bodies are our gardens, to the which our wills are gardeners: so that if we will plant nettles, or sow
lettuce, set hyssop and weed up thyme

The Three Branches Research Paper
The Three Branches Research Paper To start off I will be talking about the Legislative Branch.
And the definition of the Legislative branch is: the part of the United States government that
creates laws. Whenever you read about congress people in the Senate or House debating a law,
you re reading about the legislative branch: the branch of the government that writes, debates,
and passes laws. Making laws can be called legislating. First is how the Legislative branch uses
the checks and balances and checks the other houses. The Legislative Branch can check the
executive branch by a couple ways: Override the presidential vetoes with a two thirds vote, may
remove president through impeachment, and the senate approving treaties. The legislative
branch can check the judicial branch by: removing judges through impeachment, creating lower
courts, and the senate approving the appointments of judges. Next is the Speaker of the House
and its role; his institutional role of presiding officer and administrative head of the House, the
role of leader of the majority party in the House, and the representative role of an elected
member of the House. The Speaker of the House is second in line to succeed the President, after
the Vice President. The Senate President Pro Tempore s job is; is similar to the Speaker of the
House but more limited. For example of the Pro Tempore s job is to act as in the President of the
Senate or Vice President when he/she is absent. Next is the Majority and

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty Short Story
A Societal Breakthrough Two men walk into a crowded bar, one man carrying a pencil and
paper, and the other carrying a wooden carving. Both men posses an item and foreshadowed talent
of artistic value, yet are vulnerable to so many new ideas, some of which could be shared by the
stranger across the room from them. In the short stories The Secret Life of Walter Mittywritten by
James Thurber and Uncle Marcos written by Isabel Allende, the main characters share many similar
traits and endurances. Additionally, each of the intelligent and curious characters behold the
possibility to learn from each other. Endless knowledge, experience, and magical abilities can be
shared when two people connect, as is the case with two essential characters within a story. Isabel
Allende and James Thurber created two magnificent characters, both comparable in concept and
exceedingly complex in interpretation. In the short story, The Secret Lifeof Walter Mitty the text
reads, Once he had tried to take his chains off, outside New Milford, and he got them wound
around the axles, (Thurber 126 127). Walter Mitty is a profound man, though, in some ways, his
life is too good to be true. Walter resembles Uncle Marcos, in that the two characters continually try
to outsmart civilizations, act wild, yet gain appreciation from their peers, and achieve the ever
changing goals of a human being. Although, plans fade and ideas fall through, revealing shy and
timid characters. Uncle Marcos yearns for

Story Of An Hour Disillusionment Essay
Disillusionment is the feeling of disappointment resulting from the discovery that something is not
as good as one believed it to be. The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin and Hills like White
Elephants by Ernest Hemingway are both short stories of woman protagonists in oppressed
relationships. In one of the stories, the womanrealizes the oppression in her marriage. While in the
other story, the protagonist is facing towards the oppression. A woman can be oppressed in a
marriage in many different ways, such as not having their own independence. In The Story of an
Hourand Hills Like White Elephants , the theme of disillusionment is seen in the conflict, thematic
development, and epiphany.

mentioned that the girl s nickname is Jig , which indicates that the two characters are dancing
around each other and the issue at hand without saying anything meaningful. In The Story of an
Hour , although she admits that her husband was loving and kind, she feels joy of freedom from a
marriage that robs people of all their independence.
The epiphany in The Story of an Hour is Louise s realization of the freedom she will now

The extent rights and freedoms should be sacrificed in favor of security is to a extent where it is
justifiable, individuals affected by it and not found guilty should also receive an apology or
compensation for their violation of rights and freedoms. The War Measures Act is a federal law
adopted by parliament in 1914, after the outbreak of the First World War. It gave broad powers to
the Canadian government to maintain security and order during war. This allowed the government
to remove all rights and freedoms from an individual. This could be the case with the use of the
War Measures Act in World War 1. During this time, the immigrants in Canada, who lived in one

Similarities and Differences Between Polly and Jessie...
Polly and Jessie Wilson both have many similarities and differences in the book The Secret Lives
of Sgt. John Wilson. First, both of these characters stay dedicated to John Wilson throughout the
entire story, trusting he is always doing the right thing. Second, neither Polly nor Jessie suspect
John is doing anything wrong. Third, Polly and Jessie are both married at a young age, which
doesn t give them time to experience life before dedicating themselves to this man. Fourth, both
believe every word of Johns, without question or second thoughts. In terms of differences, Polly
displays forgiveness, while Jessie displays independence. Polly and Jessie are both very similar
people with regards to their naivety, innocence, and dedication, but quite different in terms of
forgiveness and independence. In this creative non fiction, Polly and Jessie are both depicted as
very naГЇve people. These two women believe everything that John tells them. When Jessie sister
Mary writes letters to Jessie talking about how she is dying and is extremely happy for Jessie and
John, the book even tells the reader The upright and honorable John Wilson wrote both these letters
himself (Simmie 42). This also applies to the letter from F.M Maxwell, talking about Mary and her
passing. Jessie does not bother wondering why these letters are typed instead of handwritten,
proving she believes everything. This leads to the second similarity, Polly and Jessie believe every
lie from John. This is not to say

Differential Association Theory Differential association theory was Sutherland s major sociological
contribution to criminology; similar in importance to strain theory and social control theory. These
theories all explain deviance in terms of the individual s social relationships. Sutherland s theory
departs from the pathological perspective and biological perspective by attributing the cause of
crime to the social context of individuals. He rejected biological determinism and the extreme
individualism of psychiatry, as well as economic explanations of crime. His search for an alternative
understanding of crime led to the development of differential association theory. In contrast to both
classical and biological theories,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Negatively, this means that the learning of criminal behavior is not restricted to the process of
imitation. A person who is seduced, for instance, learns criminal behavior by association, but
this would not be ordinarily described as imitation. 9. While criminal behavior is an expression
of general needs and values, it is not explained by those general needs and values since non
criminal behavior is an expression of the same needs and values. Thieves generally steal in order
to secure money, but likewise honest laborers work in order to money. The attempts to explain
criminal behavior by general drives and values such as the money motive have been, and must
completely to be, futile, since they explain lawful behavior as completely as they explain criminal
behavior. They are similar to respiration, which is necessary for any behavior, but which does not
differentiate criminal from noncriminal behavior. (Sutherland, 1974: 75 76) In summary, he
believed that an individual s associations are determined in a general context of social organization
(for instance, family income as a factor of determining residence of family and in many cases,
delinquency rate is largely related to the rental value of houses) and thus differential group
organization as an explanation of various crime rates is consistent with the differential association
theory. (Sutherland, 1974: 77) Much of Sutherland s theory relied upon the work of Chicago school

How Did Augustus Caesar Use Propaganda
Introduction
Art and architecture consist the expression of society s ethos and moral character; they function
as its mirrors. Especially during times of crisis, change or instability, they reflect the state of its
values. When we look back in Rome in 27 BCE, the time when Augustus Caesar founded the
Roman Principate and became its first emperor, art served as one of his media to first claim, then
establish and finally stabilize his domination. As Paul Zanker comments rarely has art been pressed
into the service of political power so directly as in the Age of Augustus.
Augustus was a political genius who accomplished to establish peace (Pax Romana which is
sometimes called Pax Augusta to honour his name) and stabilize his position as the Roman
emperor between his rivals with great ingenuity. In order to understand the statement above, we
need to discuss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The use of propaganda throughout time, especially when it comes to politics, is a common and
widely adopted means of predominance and influence of the masses. However, looking back into
history, few people of power and politicians used propaganda as successfully and effectively as the
first emperor of Rome, Augustus Caesar.
As briefly mentioned above, over time Augustus dramatically altered the balance of power in the
Roman governance system without seeming to do so; indeed, in Res Gestae 34.3 he explicitly
claimed, I exceeded all in influence, but I had no greater power than the others who were
colleagues with me in each magistracy .
To understand Augustus means of influence to his audience and his agenda is to understand the
man himself as well as his ambitions for the Roman Empire. In an attempt to categorize his work, it
can be claimed that Augustus had two main themes in the use of propaganda. The first theme was
correlated to his concern to establish himself, his right to rule and his influence, while the second
one was his ambition to create and maintain peace and

Affective Events Theory Paper
Gail has established a thoughtful relationship between emotions and moods, and the Affective
Events Theory. I support her views on the subject and would like to add some more insight on the
connections. The affective theory links emotional response with its effect on the result such as
ones mood, emotions or outlook. (Robbins Judge, 2009). To add to that, Fisher explains that there
are many basic emotions, however there are only two basic moods negative and positive (Fisher,
2012). From the description Gail gave on the correlation between emotions and mood along with
the affective events theory, I begin to recall my own experience. I remember a team member having

Controversial Level in Call of Duty Essay
As an avid video game enthusiast it is always fascinating to witness the gaming world evolve as
modern technology seems to continually outpace expectations of what can be reproduced in a
virtual medium. Gone are the days when a fraction of the entertainment world included lazily
playing pong or pac man on a cumbersome arcade console. Today, with the technological boom, the
video gameindustry has evolved to include a plethora of gaming genres, bent on maximizing
entertainment and profit. However, despite such exponential growth, this particular form of
entertainment has remained in the shadow of traditional forms of amusement, such as television
broadcasting or the movie industry. Yet, with the release of the game Call of Duty: Modern... Show

On a more practical point, the level shouldn t be censored or deleted because it s actually
unrealistic. This, coupled with the fact the nature of the game necessarily entails violence, helps to
provide an argument for the fact the controversy surrounding the level is unwarranted. Perhaps
most importantly, the level No Russian introduces players to a take on the reality of the post 9/11
world. Video games are known to create fantasy situations that remove the player from reality. The
Call of Duty Series, on the other hand, portrays situations that can occur in the real world, such as
terrorist activities. Granted, elements of fantasy still exist even within the Call of Duty Series, such
as fighting the Russians in the suburbs of Washington, through familiar looking subdivisions and
strip malls before storming the White House itself (Schiesel). Yet, particularly, the No Russian level
plays upon the emotions of the gamer and provokes them to consider what s really happening. The
connection between airports and potential terrorism is nothing new. In January 2011 part of the
main terminal at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia was shut down for hours after
a suspicious package was discovered near the baggage claim area (MSNBC). Although, it s
unrealistic that terrorists would come into an airport, guns blazing, the possibility is not out of the
question and certainly

The Transformation from Traditional Management Systems to...
Executive Summary
Traditional management systems rely on volume to allocate overhead. Indirect cost is allocated to
items such as direct labor hours, units produced or the production of machine hours. Using only
single cost drivers, potentially distorts cost estimates especially when dealing with high volume
production. The implementation of Activity Based Costing serves as a solution to this downside in
traditional systems. ABC utilizes various cost drivers both volume and non volume related to
estimate costs, providing more accurate estimations. Although this method benefits managers in
providing the information needed for decision making and improving efficiency of business
processes, it still is only limited to the internal aspect of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bianco (2011) supports the fact that firms within the traditional channel see themselves as
independent businesses that seek the lowest purchase price and increase sales prices to gain higher
profits. It further states that traditional methods result in diseconomies caused by redundancies,
usually in the case of inventories.
The lack of technology in traditional systems does not provide very much coordination with the
supply chain. As a result there is possible delay in delivery of products and services from the
supplier to the customer. Additionally the unavailability or delayed delivery of customer
information takes away from adding value to customers and may in turn decrease profitability and
performance. Advances in information technology have radically changed access to information
and in turn the business landscape, so much so, that the current business era is frequently referred
to as the information age. (Jiambalvo 2007, p. 14). As technology continues to advanced
companies are realizing that in order to keep up the pace in a competitive global market there is a
need for change in the way they conduct business regarding suppliers and customers. Companies
are moving towards systems such as Supply Chain Management and Customer Relationship
Management Systems that are more efficient in processing information and fuel improved operation
of the value chain and interactions with suppliers and

The Importance Of A Common National Language
Common national language has consistently been a fundamental driving force to uphold national
bonding all over the globe. This can be recognized by historical examples ranging from those
found in Western countries to Asian countries, such as how French was adopted as a means to
reunify France as a whole country after the French Revolution and how Korea has made use of a
common Korean languageto unite the Three Kingdoms and to secure statehood. In this context,
common national language refers to a language, both written and spoken that has connections, de
facto or de jure with users and the territory they occupy and exists originally but is then forged to be
the first language to shape a politically desired national identity. To strengthen the national
solidarity, it has sometimes been proposed that a typical national language is indispensable for
accelerating the formation of an appropriate national identity. This essay will argue that common
national language is the key to sustain nationhood because users can gain a greater sense of
belongings and togetherness towards the nation. This will be asserted by demonstrating how a
particular concept can be stressed with a language while speaking and by showing how a common
national language could reduce the communication gap between nationals with different mother
tongues.
A key argument for adopting a universal national language is that speakers of a language can
incline to certain types of information while speaking (Mooney

created, the Girondins and the Jacobins. There are many differences between the Girondins and the

The government should be second to the people, no matter what the orders were. The Jacobins
get their name from the Jacobin Monastery where they frequently met. They wanted a
centralized government and were comprised of cruel hearted people that were more often than
not very poorly educated and poor in wealth that wanted to get involved. While on the other hand
the Girondins were led by Jean Marie Roland and his wife Marie Roland. The majority of the
Girondins came from an area called Gironde, and were much more wealthy and honest as
compared to the Jacobins. The district of Gironde was made up of people of high intellect. The
Girondins urged citizens to stop the violence while Jacobins encouraged the bloodshed. At the
begging of the struggle there was a wide gap between the Girondins and the Jacobins, as the
Jacobins were seen as the minority. The Girondins saw themselves as strong enough to dissolve
the Jacobins and may have gotten a little cocky as a result. The minister of War, Pache switched
from the Girondins to the Jacobins in 1972, and just a year later the king was executed. The
Jacobins quickly gained the edge and became the more powerful force. Now that they had a
monopoly they seized and killed twenty two Girondins. In the Girondins final attempt, Charlotte

NFL Protest Observation Fila Bates Patrick Jehle Writing and Rhetoric II November 8, 2017 NFL Protest Observation The American flag represents this so called notion of equality and patriotism, even though it was used alongside with the pledge of allegiance to capitalize on the people s love of the country. The current controversy is that protest at NFL games is not only disrespectful to the country, but is also a disrespect to our armed forces who fought for our constitutional rights, this paper is simply an observation piece that will discuss the various arguments surrounding the NFL protest and will explore people s current feelings toward the silent protest. Many members of the U.S military have come to Collin Kaepernick s defense in the aftermath of the protest. Kellie Johnson a former military personal talk about how the protests are simply representations of their freedom of expression and that people should stop focusing on the anthem and start focusing on the reasons for the protest. She even speculates that majority of people who complain about kneeling are the same ones in the stands of sporting events looking at their phones, which is a form of disrespect to the flag. So, you can start to see that the same people who worship the flag commit actions that devalues its worth in America as well. The factiousness symbolized in the American flag distorts people s perspective of how equality and justice should be upheld in this country. These normal aging changes are partially responsible for the increased risk of developing health related problems within the elderly population. I associated being old with decline, disability, disease and death. However, reflecting on realities of ageing and my grandfather s health, I realized that ageing does not imply only declining health, but it is also associated with wellness. My grandfather is 88 years old. I had always been lucky to have my grandparents healthy. However, this changed about 10 years ago when my grandfather had a heart problem and had to get coronary angioplasty, which caused him to require extra care from my grandmother and family. Response: Watching my family deal with my grandfather during that situation made me aware of the care and services the elderly need. I thought after having a stent placement, his health ... It can be the leaves of a plant with bitter, strongly scented smell or it can means regret and sorrow. It symbolizes the bad relationship between the dead woman and her husband. As the other meaning, regret and sorrow is what the woman thought her husband should be experiencing. When someone dies, people usually put beautiful flowers beside the grave. However, she believes that her husband will plant rue instead if he even came. Therefore, readers can see the worse relationship between them. Further more, in the last stanza of this poem it states, to bury a bone (l. 32), this statement also has a deeper meaning than what it means literally, it also symbolizes the death of the woman. His early art upon his return to Mexico was focused around socially engaging murals, highlighting the plight of the lower working class and indigenous Mexican heritage. This medium of art spoke to the masses, gifting all citizens with the beauty of art without the bias of a single entity. In her book, Akira to Zoltan: twenty six men who changed the world, Autor Cynthia Chin Lee explains the significance of this medium in the way Rivera used it. She states that Rivera wanted art for all, not just the rich, and his art decorated areas where everyone could see them: in schools, plazas, and public buildings. Humor seems to be in a vague category that no one seems to have a simple explanation for. It is a mystery and can be defined as a variety of different definitions and can go in a variety of different directions. Many scientists have only recently studied humor as a topic and they have stated that humor was defined as a taboo or trivial systematic inquiry. ( Harre and Lamb). In this plan, employees are allowed to contribute a percentage of their salary before taxes up to a maximum contribution, which is $18,000 as of 2015 (IRS). In addition, employers may choose to add to each employee s 401(k) plan through matching each individual contribution or providing a one time lump sum. In addition, there is more portability for retirement savings; 401(k)s can be rolled over into IRAs if employees change companies. This is a significant benefit for millennials who are expected to remain with companies for 3 5 years before switching. Further, as for retirement plans similar to a Roth or Safe Harbor, a traditional 401(k) is less expensive and easier to manage. However, these types of plans can be added on later, if SmartKidz would desire. Suggested Provisions In a preliminary outline of the plan, we have several key suggestions. First, SmartKidz should allow both full time and part time employees to contribute to a 401(k) plan. Although part time employees may result in higher administrative costs as a result of the high turnover associated with this category of workers, it is very important for these employees to be able to contribute to retirement plans. Your part time employees are part time for a reason pregnancy, disability, and other household duties so to accomplish your goal of showing respect and dignity, you should allow them to put money towards their future. The working classes mainly consisted of the native English population, Irish immigrants, and immigrants belonging to Central and Eastern Europe and German Jews, many of whom were living in extreme poverty and great numbers of these immigrants were residing in Whitechapel. It can be suggested through research, that the Whitechapel murders helped historians to develop their understanding about the viewpoint that many people had in regards to immigrants, specifically those who belonged to the working class. This can be demonstrated through the fact that although there was no evidence to prove that the killer was a person who belonged to the Jewish community, a number of newspapers continued to broadcast and support the view that the murders were foreign in character. • 28. Persuasive Essay On Fashion Do you want to make a unique fashion statement on your special occasion? Are you attending your prom, a wedding or a cocktail party? Then, vintage dresses are the way to go! While others are stuck in the routine combination of dresses for their prom or special occasions, vintage dresses are original choices you can go for, to stand out and rock the place. The old is fashionable! The vintage look does not stop being in style, and when you add some 50s dresses to your wardrobe or solely for the occasion, you display a unique taste that always stands out, no matter the occasion. By the way, this should not be confused with the use of second hand clothing. While the word vintage refers to old clothes, this does not mean that you have to use broken or time worn models. This can be counterproductive and evoke a negative image instead of the good look which is the original goal. The goal is to wear garments that look good in order to create a timeless look at the same time. Vintage dresses, like all the dresses we find in stores, should be tested and checked very carefully if it has flaws. If you like dresses inspired by the past, you will love the optical or geometric prints of the 70s, classic black dresses or flared jeans from the 60s or flowers and laces of the 50s that will take us much further back in time. If you are passionate about or identify with this style, we recommend you invest in some beautiful 50s vintage dresses. Generally, vintage dresses stand out for their exclusivity, high quality and distinction. In fact, vintage dresses are the great passion of the fashion world fans and a source of inspiration for haute couture designers. As you already know, celebrities are vintage fans! It s the famous commercial that tugged at everyone s heartstrings back in 2007 (http:/ /www.redbookmag.com/life/pets/news/a41805/sarah mclachlan aspca commercial/), but the reason for its popularity can be described with the elements of an argument. Indeed, an argument is being made with those sad puppy eyes, and it is one that s being made to appeal the crying audience. The animal cruelty video by the ASPCA featuring Sarah McLachlanis an example of a successful advertisement for these reasons: it s use of emotion, logic, and credibility. The first, and most prominent, reasoning behind the commercial is emotion, or pathos. An argument should include an emotional connection to the audience to make logic and credibility more humanizing. The two minute video primarily includes clips of previously abused animals, the staff caring for them, and singer Sarah McLachlan talking about how the viewers can help. Reason one that the argument is effective in the use of emotion would be the use of animals. The clips used include dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens whimpering or looking sad. These were meant to evoke an emotion to the individuals, and hopefully ignite the compassion needed to donate to ASPCA. It gained popularity from the sadden reactions of people, and for good reason. One may always think that dreams are pursuable but never considers what happens if dreams are disregarded. We all have hopes and dreams for the future but imagine not being able to achieve those dreams and become constantly denied from simple things such as your own rights. Have you ever thought about how postponed dreams can impact your life? The upsetting question of what happens to a dream deferred? is one taken seriously by Langston Hughes, an American poet. Since this poem was written in 1951, many African Americans were limited to achieve the American Dream. Striving for equality and freedom was still in action for African Americans; their hopes and dreams were constantly denied, seeming unattainable. In Harlem (A Dream Deferred), Hughes explores the possible consequences of unfulfilled dreams to demonstrate what might happen if dreams are ignored and kept from society. With the use of similes, alliteration, and ending with a metaphor, the reader is now aware of the potential destructive effects of deferred dreams. In a way, it tells the reader that dreams should not be ignored due to their importance in people s lives. Dreams should not be put aside and should be a goal that is set in our lives. Sometimes people tend to postpone their dreams because of certain circumstances they face in life. However, when these circumstances are gone, one should go back and fulfill their dreams. The potential effects that were portrayed in his poem emphasize that the longer you delay your dream, the more the dream will less likely become true or fulfilled. Less than a year into the project, the budget again played a role in the future of the Sagrada FamГlia, but this time it was clearly a change for the better. Del Villar wanted to use ashlar columns in his design, a technique far more expensive than building up the interior with rubblework, than covering them with ashlar. This started arguments with the Foundation, who criticized De Villar for spending too much unnecessary money on the project. De Villar resigned because he was not happy that his plans were not being followed, and the foundation chose 31 year old architect Antoni Gaudi as successor. Whenever you read about congress people in the Senate or House debating a law, you re reading about the legislative branch: the branch of the government that writes, debates, and passes laws. Making laws can be called legislating. First is how the Legislative branch uses the checks and balances and checks the other houses. In this context, common national language refers to a language, both written and spoken that has connections, de facto or de jure with users and the territory they occupy and exists originally but is then forged to be the first language to shape a politically desired national identity. To strengthen the national solidarity, it has sometimes been proposed that a typical national language is indispensable for accelerating the formation of an appropriate national identity. This essay will argue that common national language is the key to sustain nationhood because users can gain a greater sense of belongings and togetherness towards the nation. This will be asserted by demonstrating how a particular concept can be stressed with a language while speaking and by showing how a common national language could reduce the communication gap between nationals with different mother tongues.
