In every society there are expectations placed on people to act certain ways and do
certain things. The Storm, by Kate Chopin, sheds light on the negative consequences
of societal expectations, social inequality, and intentionally contradicts common
gender roles. The story is centered around the complex relationship between a Cajun
woman and a Creole man. These two groups equate to the lower class and the middle
/upper class respectively. The mixing of these two groups is frowned upon, and each
group comes with different expectations. Kate Chopinuses these expectations and

The storm, in this case a threatening cyclone, represents everything that is
problematic with implementing such strict expectations onto people. The concluding

cultural expectations and slut shaming. According to the results, the perceptions of

feminism, ethnicity, religion, and sexuality. Overall, college students were found to
be on crossfire of slut shaming discourse on a college campus. It was concluded,
based on the research, the participants have significantly identified with judging a
woman by the way she dresses. It is recommended that further research be devoted to
slut shaming perceptions in different: cultures, groups, regions, religions,
organizations, media and institutions.

Mozart and Strauss each had vast experiences prior to writing their individual
operatic pieces. Despite the fact that Mozart lived centuries before, the two
composers had different sets of experiences that made their pieces admissibly
similar. Strauss had conducted Mozart s Le Nozze De Figaro more than thirty times
before he wrote Der Rosenkavalier (Bakogianni 7; Evans et al. 5). It is important to
note that the strong parallels between Mozart s and Strauss pieces are attributed to
the fact that Strauss learned from Mozart.
Even though the two pieces were composed in different centuries Mozart s piece in

incisions and insert a video endoscopy and other instruments to remove the
gallbladder by sections. This technique is less invasive and results in less
postoperative discomfort and improved cosmetic results. For those patients who
decline surgery or are at high risk for surgery, gallbladder stones may be dissolved.
This treatment may take up to two years or longer for complete dissolution and the
stones may return. The best applicants for this treatment are those with small
stones made of cholesterol. Ursodeoxycholic acid 4 to 5 mg/kg po bid or 3 mg/kg
po tid (8 to 10 mg/kg/day) dissolves 80% of tiny stones 0.5cm in diameter within 6
mo. (Siddiqui, 2013). A more rapid treatment for those not able to have surgery is

military doctrine defines this method as the Manoeuvrist Approach or indirect

A key characteristic of the manoeuvrist approach is the attacking enemy s decision
making process by attempting to get inside his decision making cycle (known as
OODA loop cycle). OODA loop (observe orient decide act) is theory presented by
American John Boyd and its essence is to be faster through OODA loop cycle than
the enemy. If we can consistently go through the OODA cycle faster than the
enemy, make faster decisions and act before him, we gain an advantage and
enemy loses his cohesion until he can no longer fight as an effective, organized
force. However, in order to be faster than enemy some preconditions have to be
achieved. Firstly, according to Boyd, only decentralized military with application
of mission command can have a fast OODA loop. Secondly, through
decentralization, to operate successfully in fog of war we need to accept confusion
and disorder, and also to generate them. Thirdly, while operating in confusion and
disorder we need to avoid all patterns, recipes and formulas, because if our tactics
follow predictable patterns, the enemy can predict our actions and easily cut inside
