enactment was made in the Charlotte Mecklenburg, North Carolina s school structure. There are 107
schools altogether, in which the student population is 84000. Within the structure, there are 21 schools
in which 14000 African Americans attend that are 99% of their race only. The rest of the African
American students, about 10000 students, attend integrated school. In this case, the plaintiff, Swann,
had come forth to bring the board of education to the court. It all started when Dr. Darius Swann,
professor at Johnson C. Smith University, wanted to enroll his child to an almost all white school
closer to his home, which he was rejected.
5) Issues: There were many issues in this case and they were: 1) whether or not the suggested plan
would actually end segregation 2) if the courts are protected under the fourteenth amendment to take
action to end the segregation in schools.

In the story, Moki had two visions. The visions had shown him two ways to live. The first with seeds

did not happen in the end. The Hopi realized that they are able to share the land and the valley, so they

Law enforcement agencies have policies regarding use of force that need reform. There is concern for
the balance of ethical decision making by police officers. There is also an equal concern for the rights
and value of life of civilians along with those of officers. Maintaining stress free standards for
employed law enforcement is detrimental to police use of force directives. Police organizations can
prevent and correct their citizen interaction without the use of excessive force. It is imperative that a
process be found that could identify potential issues prior to use of force events occurring. Measures
can be taken early by police agencies to avoid officers initiating criminal misconduct. Police training
and development of communication techniques will provide the reform needed to subvert the idea of
an excessive use of force police culture. Logic should be administered alongside reasoning prior to the
