Relationship Between God And Relationship With God
According to Merriam Webster, a relationship is the way in which two or more people, groups, or
countries talk to, behave toward, connect, and deal with each other. It s an emotional, spiritual, or
other type of connection between persons. Relationships can be difficult to maintain because we are
all different people evolving daily. Majority of the issues and joys of life revolves around people and
relationships. Our relationships have a major affect on our quality of life; therefore, we should be
selective and cautious about whom we choose to be a part of our inner circle. We need relationships;
there is no doubt about it. They play a major role in our spiritual and personal development. This is
why I believe that a relationship with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Love never fails...
As you can see, this type of love is unselfish. It cares about the feelings of others despite how they
may act toward us. We must remember that we are all flawed, imperfect, and blemished in one way or
another. This is why unconditional love is a necessity. The closer we get to God, the more Christ like
we become and as a result, we re able to maintain better relationships. I ve discovered that our
dealings with other people are a direct reflection of our relationship with God.
For example, if you are a selfish person and your relationships are all about you, this tells me that you
only seek God for what He can do for you. You re not concerned about what services you can provide
for the Kingdom of God. Let s take a look at another example of how your relationship with other
people directly reflects your relationship with God. Let s say you re a person that s always right and
never wrong in your dealings with others. You refuse to maintain a teachable spirit and you always
have all the right answers, so you think. This is a humility issue, and it suggests that you only seek
God when you ve exhausted all of your other possibilities, instead of initially seeking and depending
on Him for leadership and guidance.
A person that believes they re never wrong, can do no wrong, and have all the answers to life s
problems, is a person with a haughty attitude. This prideful mindset will definitely spill over into

Girls And 10 Things I Hate About You
Life as a teenager is arguably the most confusing, difficult, and stressful time in a person s life. There
is a great amount of expectations and insecurities placed on teens that hinder them from being active
participants in the world. They must undergo all of the changes of young adult life to develop into
successful members of society. In the 1990 s and the 2000 s, two separate films were released that
depict the cultural norms, social expectations, and developments of teenagers at that period of time.
Those two films, Mean Girls and 10 Things I Hate About You, successfully illuminate the motives and
characterizations of young adult life and the troubles and tribulations that come along with it. 10
Things I Hate About You is a film about teenagers growing up in Seattle in the 1990 s. The music,
clothing, and slang presented in the movie all emulate the time period in which it was released. The
movie itself is based off of the play by William Shakespeare, The Taming of the Shrew. Senior, Kat
Stratford, portrays an angsty teenager, degrading any and all typical high school experiences. Her
sister Bianca, on the other hand, is well liked and well desired by two boys in school. She emulates the
typical teen girl, obsessed with fashion, boys, and popularity. As per their father s rules, Bianca cannot
date until uninterested Kat does. Patrick Verona, the mysterious bad boy of school, is approached by
the popular Joey Donner as he offers to pay Verona to take out

Most humans resist the idea of stepping directly into the things that frighten them. Of course, there are
some things that warrant fear and deserve avoidance action (crime, fire, hurricanes, etc). But those are
things we don t tend to encounter regularly in our daily lives (hopefully).
Fear, none the less, is often present and yet not always warranted. If you are reaching beyond your
comfort zone, you ll likely feel afraid. That does NOT mean, you shouldn t reach. You should always
reach.
Here are some specific strategies you can use to take that fear and turn it into freedom, financial
freedom or personal freedom.
1. Do the scariest thing on your to do list the first thing in the morning
This will free you up immediately. Even if you don t get the result you wanted, just the fact that you
confronted your fear and took action will build your confidence and allow you to tackle other things
on your list that will now feel easy and breezy.
2. Ask your inner guidance what the fear is trying

What Historical And Governmental Policies Influenced Asian...
Asians have been referred to as the Model Minority for decades, but is it an accurate representation of
Asian America culture today? This notion derives from the stereotype that Asian families are stable
and Asian culture produces success in regards to grades and professions. My questions are as follows:
what historical and governmental policies influenced the term, how did it affect Asian Americans,
what should Asian Americans do to be treated equally to improve the rights of their people, and how
does this all tie together with the core concept of history memory? I hope to answer these questions
thoughtfully in my essay.
The term model minority emerged during the 1960s as a response brought on by the Immigration and
Nationality Act ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Asian Americans have been significantly affected today because of the model minority ideology. The
idea of Asian Americans being the model minority encouraged and pushed Caucasian Americans that
if you have the right cultural values, you can make it. This causes an erasure of the economic
disparities and social issues that the poor working Asian Americans have today.
Bernadette Lim, Harvard Undergraduate student, in her article, Model Minority Seems like a
Compliment, but It Does Great Harm, raises awareness that the term Model Minority does a lot of
harm despite it s positive connotation. The author points out the fact that many southeast Asian
minorities are in poverty rates. Included in the southeast Asian category, there is a 40 50% drop out
rate. Asian American female students have the highest suicide rates among college students from the
pressure of performing really well. This article also points out a threat of Asian Americans in the
college admissions process where Asian Americans are perceived as a threat to other applicants. It
implies that society wants a control to racial contents where they only want enough that serves the
main interest of society. When you are harming the mobility of mainstream Americans, you re viewed
as threatening. Harming, in the case, is Asian Americans taking the spots of college placements for
actual or Caucasian American students.

While researching the western diet and its effect on acne vulgaris; one of the most common skin
conditions found in teens and young adults, a strong correlation between foods with a high glycemic
index, foods high in fat, and dairy products have been discovered to have adverse effects of the
production of acne. The high glycemic index of foods such as pastas, breads, and cereals have been
found to increase blood sugar rapidly and therefore increase insulin production, subsequently causing
acne causing hormones and cells to become alert and overactive. Similarly to foods with a high
glycemic index, meats with a high concentration of fat act similarly and active proteins such as leucine
which overstimulate the production of keratin and fluids

The O. J. Simpson Murder Case

correlations are involved in the process. Through post Marxism, postfeminism, post affirmative and
post structuralism dimensions, multiple variables like gender, race, class and even age are important in
understanding the handling of cases in the system (Bellis, 2007). The explanations based on crime and

Non cooperative, Semi cooperative, and Cooperative Games based Grid Resource Allocation
Straightforward access to large scale distributed computational assets is provided by computational
Grids. With the help of their size and geographic dissemination they help to create large computing
centers. Several simulation studies are performed for evaluating the mechanisms to allocate resources
in a Grid. There are three mechanisms to allocate resources in a Grid. The first method is the non
cooperative sealed bid method where the tasks are auctioned off to the highest bidder. Second, the
semi cooperative n round bid method in which each site delegates the task its work to others if it
cannot perform the work itself. Last, the cooperative method in which all the sites cooperatively
perform all the tasks as efficiently as possible. The simulation model has various leveled Grid
structure in which machines are built around larger computing centers called federations [1].
In a computational framework, a large computational task is divided up among individual machines,
which run calculations in parallel and then

Indignation, By Philip Roth
Indignation, by Philip Roth, is narrated by Marcus Messner, a young man from Newark, New Jersey,
set in the early 1950 s. Marcus is dead, reflecting on the critical events of his life leading up to his
downfall. He believes these events were causally related; if one event in his life ended differently, his
death could have been avoided. Marcus laments his misfortune as an unlucky soul. His mother calls
him defiant, as if it is a natural characteristic that all Messners, and followers of Bertrand Russell
inherently possess. While Marcus sees himself as a victim, deprived of his true potential, the reality is
in stark contrast. He is not a victim of a series of mishaps ; Marcus died because of his failure to

Marcus reasonings for why is father should not be concerned is heavily disconnected from what he
believes gives rise to those concerns. Marcus accuses his father of being crazy and calls the constant
surveillance insufferable (8 9). He essentially runs away from home to Winesburg college in Ohio to
escape his father.
His lack of understanding and his running from problems does not end with his move to Winesburg,
neither does his father s surveillance. His father s questioning continues and his father sends over
Sonny Cottler, a son of his friend, to check up on Marcus so that he has someone he knows away from
home. Sonny Cottler is the president of the Jewish fraternity and is well known on campus (44 45).
Instead of accepting his father s help in making friends and getting settled in a foreign environment,
he asks his father to stop sending visitors. He then remains mostly antisocial throughout his time at
Winesburg. His father simply wants him to have a familiar face around which Marcus cannot
comprehend. He mostly avoids speaking to his father during his time there to avoid dealing with his
questions.
The dean summons Marcus because he petitions to change rooms twice, after he fails to understand
and establish common ground with either set of roommates. The dean inquires about Marcus moving

Cleisthenes As An Opportunist
Cleisthenes was the Athenian politician setting the stage of democracy around c.520 BC and to c.400
BC. An opportunist is defined by Oxford dictionaries as: A person who takes advantage of
opportunities as and when they arise, regardless of planning or principle . For many, this sums up the
rule of Cleisthenes as he took advantage of the anti tyrannical movement and of the power he was
given to improve the position of himself and his Alcmaeonid family. However, this essay will argue
that although Cleisthenes did take advantage of opportunities, he was ultimately very principled in
nature and was actually a reactionist. This is to say that he reacted to problems and events that
occurred and dealt with them the best he could, rather than taking advantage of the opportunity to
better himself, the elite classes or his family.
To many, Cleisthenes was simply an opportunist. One way he can be said to be opportunistic is during
his rise to power. This idea has stemmed from the ancient Greek author Herodotus, and in parts
Aristotle as well. On the whole, these are two ancient authors with semi opposing views, with
Herodotus being a stronger source for stating Cleisthenes was an opportunist. The main reason most
historians believe that Cleisthenes was an opportunist is because of the account from Herodotus
histories. The account is as follows: these two [Isagoras and Cleisthenes] were rivals for power, and
Cleisthenes, who was getting the worst of it, took the people into his

Electronic voting in polling stations is in place of the world s largest E Democracies, and I voting is

Essay on The Prosecution and Tragic Death of Aaron Swartz
In light of the recent prosecution and tragic death of Aaron Swartz, it is my belief an formal
examination of the current legal processes is required. But first, the events leading to the current moral
turmoil must be reviewed.
After illegally downloading millions of articles from a digital library (JSTOR) with the intent to
distribute them online, computer programmer and political activist Aaron Swartz was caught and
arrested by MIT authorities. Under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act Aaron Swartz was federally

However in Aarron Swartz case where the amount of files were retrieved he did not receive a similar

measure the impact inflicted. However in the case of Aaron Swartz his crime has been described as
trying to put someone in jail for allegedly checking too many books out of the library (Declan, 2013).
However because of the current copyright laws in the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act he was
prosecuted differently. It is my opinion that in light of the significant threats posed by anonymous we
need to examine whether an abuse of justice was committed. I contacted a Professor Jonathan Simon
at University of California, Berkeley who specializes in Law and Social Policy to provide a third party
perspective on this matter. In his famed novel Governing Through Crime Professor Simon examines
the relationship between the fear of crime and the increase in Prosecutorial Authority. Historically
speaking, prosecutors possessed limited power but were intended to represent the public. However,
following social and political declaration of a war on crime, prosecutors were shifted into the political
spotlight with additional legal powers. During this progression a form of accountability and oversight
was not implemented proportionally. Simon specifically describes this concern

The Artistic Influence Of Pablo Picasso s Le Rameur
The Artistic Influence of Pablo Picasso
The Houston Museum of Fine Arts carries this eye catching painting constructed by the late Pablo
Picasso. This particular abstract painting of Picasso looks as if a man is sitting at a piano. Upon further
observation of the painting I came to realize that the artwork was distinctively named Le Rameur ,
which means The Rower in French. The Rower can be placed in the art movement known as Analytic
Cubism. Analytic Cubism refers to Picasso´s interest in breaking down or analyzing forms and space
into smaller geometric shapes. In Le Rameur, Picasso uses his Cubism method that embellishes
rectangles, triangles, and spheres and squares to bring out the detail. The artwork itself looks very dull
and unfinished and is evident that Picasso made use of muted colors such as ... Show more content on

into geometric shapes and rearranges them. The result is an image that causes the viewer´s eye to

on a two dimensional surface. Picasso choses muted colors, brown, ocher, and gray, to unify and
flatten the composition. These colors allow the geometric shapes to meld with the two dimensional
surface on which it is painted. At the same time, a solid figure emerges through the layering of forms

one aspect of Homer s epic may have been more of an aspiration than a true reflection of the world

The Autobiography of Malcom X by Alex Haley
The Autobiography of Malcolm X as told by Alex Haley is about a man who forever changed
America. Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little and also known as El Hajj Malik El Shabazz spoke out
against the effects of discrimination, racism and segregation. He went through many different stages in
his life as he fought for equal treatment of colored individuals. The three stages that really changed the
way Malcolm X thought were his experiences while incarcerated, his entering into the religion of
Islam by following Elijah Muhammad, and the biggest turning point in his life, his first and last
pilgrimage to the holy Islamic city of Mecca. In all of Malcolm teachings, in his transformations and
actions we can derive different viewpoints. While Malcolm X was incarcerated he had completed his
first transformation in life. Like many past greats, they all suffered a low point in their lives. Malcolm
X s low point was when he was into the usage of drugs, hustling, and money. He became so focused
on making a lot of money, so much so that he and some of his friends decided to rob a house of an
elderly white man. Malcolm and his friends were immediately caught for the crime and not only were
they charged but were also charged with having sexual intercourse with white women. A white woman
having any sort of sexual relation with a colored individual was extremely frowned upon. Malcolm

enforcement can use someone s cellular telephone to track their movements or identify their location

involves the use of computer or the manipulation of digital data. Zackary J. Miller, section Chief of
the FBI s Cyber Criminal Division stated, I think there is a growing cybercrime problem that we are
continuing to chase a bit behind the curve... bank robbery and fraud are all facilitated by the internet.

The Field Of Psychology Ranks
First let me start off by congratulating you on your terrific work. Your commitment to the field of
psychology ranks amongst the best and your work has stood the test of time. I know you are unaware
of the impact you will have in this field, but let me tell you that your work is still highly regarded.
Your work has been used by many professionals and educators to help individuals throughout the
years. Professionals have used your gestalt principles to expand their industries by creating their own
logos. As the years have and continue to pass every individual have seen or used your gestalt
principles even when they are not aware of it. As you left your country and came to the United States,
you left behind a legacy but continued to create one in a different world. You faced a new chapter in
your life when you came to the United States but it was a time where you played a great role in
emerging psychology. Because of the gestalt migration was a time where the United States gained
great talent. That s where everything started and many psychologist and professionals started to know
more about your work and started to engage and research more on it. Gestalt theory has been a
successful theory for many years and continues its way to improvement. Your Gestalt theory, any type
of illusion not just movement, has been very successful in a way that individuals see things a certain
way rather than a whole. Your five principles of gestalt theory such as similarity,

Justice In The Oresteia
In Aeschylus tragic trilogy The Oresteia, Aeschylus writes about a fundamental question in
philosophy. What is the nature of justice? In his plays, starting with Agamemnon, the Achaeans slowly
emerge and evolve from an older, more primitive autocratic form of justice, to a new concept of
justice devised by Athena. The trilogy culminates in hung jury trial, and eventually Orestes absolution.
The jury trial at the end of The Furies implies that justice is arbitrary, must include deliberation, and is
more than an eye for an eye.
In ancient Greece law of retaliation was similar to the eye for an eye concept. Because Clytemnestra
killed their father, it was only fair for Orestes to kill her. This is idea is imposed in the final play of the

The problem with revenge is that it never ends. Instead, revenge leads to more revenge, and it is
mentioned, towards the end of The Furies, as especially dangerous for civic order. The Furies
represent a more primordial sense of justice, which Athena is intent on changing. Aeschylus is
asserting that the cycle of violence and vindictive acts of justice is characteristic of a primitive society
and that some other way must be found to resolve the conflict of moral questions. The establishment
of the courts at the end of the trilogy directly concept of justice.
The establishment of the courts provides a place for the citizens to decide about what is moral and to
debate the details of specific cases. The emergence of the jury trial also suggests that justice is not just
unless it involves deliberation. In the earlier plays Orestes and Clytemnestra took justice into their
own hands by acting impulsively and Aeschylus implies in his tragedy that When a person seeks
justice they must be careful not to pursue it in a vindictive way because revenge will inevitably
transgress into suffering for the person seeking reprisal. the law needs to be concerned with definitions
justice itself. In other words, justice without judgment is too rash and impulsive. A jury is necessary so
that questions can be deliberated. Was Orestes matricide justified? Circumstances, motives and
consequences must be taken into account at trial. These are complicated moral

The Ethical Theory Of Consequentialism
Introduction
Consequentialism is one of the three main normative ethical theories alongside virtue theory and
deontology. In general, consequentialism holds that the right thing to do in any situation is determined
completely by its consequences. This includes everything that will happen in the world as a result of
the action.
There are a multitude of variations branching from this which may differ in what part of the
consequences they value; and as such have different value theories, but all will agree on the notion
that the ends justify the means. Leaving open how moral goodness is determined, we will look at act
consequentialism as the most basic form of the consequentialist theory. Consequentialism as a whole
faces a lot of criticism, this essay will look into the demandingness objection to act consequentialism
and analyse whether the theory can defend itself through the introduction of rule consequentialism.
Act Consequentialism
Act consequentialism claims the permissibility of an action is based on how good its consequences are
compared with those of its feasible alternatives.
An act is morally right if and only if that act maximizes the good, that is, an act is to be evaluated on
the basis of whether it produces the best possible state of affairs, impartially considered. If it does
produce the best possible state of affairs, then the act is counted as morally required (or morally
permissible if the act is one of many possible acts that produce a state of affairs

take grocery for a example, there are three to four brands to one certain product. Like whole has a

The African American Slave Influence On The Beginnings Of...
The African American slave influence in the beginnings of American culture and technology and
Native Americans of the North American Continent were significant in creating America. By revealing
the different ways this achieved, we can see the work and techniques that drove the new country and
how this created by the political, as well as ideological ramifications of their labors. With all of these
contributions to the new country of the United States, we see that the formation of the world power
built on the principles that the early settlers created in their work.
White Europeans who controlled the continent held many similar views. These outsiders included the
Native Americans and the African Americans. Both inhabits were treated in comparable and in
opposing ways by the Europeans in power. The most obvious way that the two groups were treated the
same is that they were dealt with in a very ethnocentric way; whites assumed that they were superior
to both groups. Both groups were not dealt with in the same way from the inception. Native
Americans, who were living in the country long before the whites, were killed, stripped of their land,
and cheated as to their future in the new world. According to All About history (2011), The Europeans
soon pursued their intent to conquer this new continent with brutal attacks and invasion. The Native
Americans soon realized that the invaders would arrive in overwhelming numbers, as many as the
stars in heaven. Initially, the people of

Compare Electronic Mediated And Face-To-Face Communication
Compare Electronic Mediated and Face to Face Communication Communication is evolving quickly,
offering us more options than ever before. Cellphone calls, texting via short messaging (SMS), Skype,
teleconferencing, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, and face to face communication all play a major role in
how people communicate with others around the world. Despite how I may fee, face to face
communication is the best way to communicate with people because a lot of things won t get taken out
of context and their won t be any misunderstanding.
People are now connected electronically to 24 hour news cycles, updates on all the movements and
activities of friends and celebrities, and even, in the case of physicians, with latest research findings on
diagnoses and treatments of illnesses. Even counseling has expanded thanks to the Internet where
some counselors now offer group sessions via chat, or provide treatment via instant messaging and
emails. Psychologists have expressed concern whether computer mediated communication (CMC)
will help or hinder those individuals who may be lonely and isolated from others. CMC has definitely
changed how we communicate with others and has had an equal amount of problems related to
misinterpretation.
When it came to choosing one form of computer or electronic mediated communication, I decided to
go with texting via short messaging system (SMS) due to many reasons with the main reason is
because in the generation I live in we are always on our phones

Most Important Qualities Of The ANZAC Legend
The ANZAC Legend is said to contain some of the most important qualities of Australians and New
Zealanders today. Sir John Monash, Commander of the Australian forces on the Western Front, later
wrote of the Australians as intelligent, physically superior, independent, resourceful, brave and easy to
lead but difficult to drive (Cameron, Young, Lawless, 2002, pg 49). Even though Australians display
these qualities, this Legend is no longer relevant in society today due to the fact that it excludes
Australians who aren t from a white European background, is biased towards the qualities of
Australians and it brands them as the Legend states.

254). These qualities are then heavily recognised in Australia s National Identity. Simpson and his
donkey is an excellent demonstration of the ANZAC Legend. The courage John Simpson showed
when he lead his donkey through heavy fire to rescue the wounded combined with the mateship he
demonstrated towards other ANZAC soldiers is a clear demonstration of the qualities of the Legend in
action (Cameron, Young, Lawless, 2002, p. 51). He became a familiar sight to all and the actions he
demonstrated are still heavily linked to the ANZAC Legend today.
The ANZAC Legend today is an important aspect of Australia s history and is significant to all
Australian s today. It is believed that the importance of the Gallipoli Campaign is due to the fact that
this was the first War Australia fought in as a nation and that in the first news report which reached
Australia, the soldiers were praised for their courage and gallantry (Carrodus, et al., 2012). This
Legend is heavily praised in Australia and it is of very high importance. ANZAC Day,
commemorating the Gallipoli landing became a public holiday in 1927, celebrated on the 25th of
April, and each year more and more people are taking part in ANZAC celebrations, such as dawn
services and marches (Carrodus, 2012). During the 1980 s, ANZAC Day has grown in significance.
Reasons for this include the popularity of films and documentaries such

about Coyote Ugly is the small town girl plot. David McNally, an English director of film and

Who Is Alberto Burr Rosso Plastica
Art can be found in everything, in some form of artistic capability, from the hand of man and down to
DNA. Though, in my opinion, for something to be consider real art it should contain at least 5 certain
characteristics. Alberto Burri s Rosso Plastica (Red Plastic), dated 1961, contains all 5 at these
qualities; design, creativity, uniqueness, reaction, and inherent meaning. With all of this, he makes a
beautiful and revolutionary piece of art, so very distinct. The design in his piece is made 3 different

painting and/or sculpting them. Burri also uses acrylic paint to give the image depth and an overall

  • 2. Relationship Between God And Relationship With God According to Merriam Webster, a relationship is the way in which two or more people, groups, or countries talk to, behave toward, connect, and deal with each other. It s an emotional, spiritual, or other type of connection between persons. Relationships can be difficult to maintain because we are all different people evolving daily. Majority of the issues and joys of life revolves around people and relationships. Our relationships have a major affect on our quality of life; therefore, we should be selective and cautious about whom we choose to be a part of our inner circle. We need relationships; there is no doubt about it. They play a major role in our spiritual and personal development. This is why I believe that a relationship with ... We must remember that we are all flawed, imperfect, and blemished in one way or another. This is why unconditional love is a necessity. The closer we get to God, the more Christ like we become and as a result, we re able to maintain better relationships. I ve discovered that our dealings with other people are a direct reflection of our relationship with God. For example, if you are a selfish person and your relationships are all about you, this tells me that you only seek God for what He can do for you. You re not concerned about what services you can provide for the Kingdom of God. Let s take a look at another example of how your relationship with other people directly reflects your relationship with God. Let s say you re a person that s always right and never wrong in your dealings with others. You refuse to maintain a teachable spirit and you always have all the right answers, so you think. This is a humility issue, and it suggests that you only seek God when you ve exhausted all of your other possibilities, instead of initially seeking and depending on Him for leadership and guidance. A person that believes they re never wrong, can do no wrong, and have all the answers to life s problems, is a person with a haughty attitude. This prideful mindset will definitely spill over into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Girls And 10 Things I Hate About You Life as a teenager is arguably the most confusing, difficult, and stressful time in a person s life. There is a great amount of expectations and insecurities placed on teens that hinder them from being active participants in the world. They must undergo all of the changes of young adult life to develop into successful members of society. In the 1990 s and the 2000 s, two separate films were released that depict the cultural norms, social expectations, and developments of teenagers at that period of time. Those two films, Mean Girls and 10 Things I Hate About You, successfully illuminate the motives and characterizations of young adult life and the troubles and tribulations that come along with it. 10 Things I Hate About You is a film about teenagers growing up in Seattle in the 1990 s. The music, clothing, and slang presented in the movie all emulate the time period in which it was released. The movie itself is based off of the play by William Shakespeare, The Taming of the Shrew. Senior, Kat Stratford, portrays an angsty teenager, degrading any and all typical high school experiences. Her sister Bianca, on the other hand, is well liked and well desired by two boys in school. She emulates the typical teen girl, obsessed with fashion, boys, and popularity. As per their father s rules, Bianca cannot date until uninterested Kat does. Of course, there are some things that warrant fear and deserve avoidance action (crime, fire, hurricanes, etc). But those are things we don t tend to encounter regularly in our daily lives (hopefully). Fear, none the less, is often present and yet not always warranted. If you are reaching beyond your comfort zone, you ll likely feel afraid. That does NOT mean, you shouldn t reach. You should always reach. Here are some specific strategies you can use to take that fear and turn it into freedom, financial freedom or personal freedom. 1. Do the scariest thing on your to do list the first thing in the morning This will free you up immediately. Even if you don t get the result you wanted, just the fact that you confronted your fear and took action will build your confidence and allow you to tackle other things on your list that will now feel easy and breezy. 2. Asians have been referred to as the Model Minority for decades, but is it an accurate representation of Asian America culture today? My questions are as follows: what historical and governmental policies influenced the term, how did it affect Asian Americans, what should Asian Americans do to be treated equally to improve the rights of their people, and how does this all tie together with the core concept of history memory? He believes these events were causally related; if one event in his life ended differently, his death could have been avoided. Marcus laments his misfortune as an unlucky soul. His mother calls him defiant, as if it is a natural characteristic that all Messners, and followers of Bertrand Russell inherently possess. • 14. Cleisthenes As An Opportunist Cleisthenes was the Athenian politician setting the stage of democracy around c.520 BC and to c.400 BC. An opportunist is defined by Oxford dictionaries as: A person who takes advantage of opportunities as and when they arise, regardless of planning or principle . For many, this sums up the rule of Cleisthenes as he took advantage of the anti tyrannical movement and of the power he was given to improve the position of himself and his Alcmaeonid family. However, this essay will argue that although Cleisthenes did take advantage of opportunities, he was ultimately very principled in nature and was actually a reactionist. This is to say that he reacted to problems and events that occurred and dealt with them the best he could, rather than taking advantage of the opportunity to better himself, the elite classes or his family. To many, Cleisthenes was simply an opportunist. One way he can be said to be opportunistic is during his rise to power. This idea has stemmed from the ancient Greek author Herodotus, and in parts Aristotle as well. On the whole, these are two ancient authors with semi opposing views, with Herodotus being a stronger source for stating Cleisthenes was an opportunist. The main reason most historians believe that Cleisthenes was an opportunist is because of the account from Herodotus histories. The account is as follows: these two [Isagoras and Cleisthenes] were rivals for power, and Cleisthenes, who was getting the worst of it, took the people into his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Upon further observation of the painting I came to realize that the artwork was distinctively named Le Rameur , which means The Rower in French. The Rower can be placed in the art movement known as Analytic Cubism. Analytic Cubism refers to Picasso´s interest in breaking down or analyzing forms and space into smaller geometric shapes. Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little and also known as El Hajj Malik El Shabazz spoke out against the effects of discrimination, racism and segregation. He went through many different stages in his life as he fought for equal treatment of colored individuals. The three stages that really changed the way Malcolm X thought were his experiences while incarcerated, his entering into the religion of Islam by following Elijah Muhammad, and the biggest turning point in his life, his first and last pilgrimage to the holy Islamic city of Mecca. • 25. Justice In The Oresteia In Aeschylus tragic trilogy The Oresteia, Aeschylus writes about a fundamental question in philosophy. What is the nature of justice? In his plays, starting with Agamemnon, the Achaeans slowly emerge and evolve from an older, more primitive autocratic form of justice, to a new concept of justice devised by Athena. The trilogy culminates in hung jury trial, and eventually Orestes absolution. The jury trial at the end of The Furies implies that justice is arbitrary, must include deliberation, and is more than an eye for an eye. In ancient Greece law of retaliation was similar to the eye for an eye concept. Because Clytemnestra killed their father, it was only fair for Orestes to kill her. • 26. The Ethical Theory Of Consequentialism Introduction Consequentialism is one of the three main normative ethical theories alongside virtue theory and deontology. In general, consequentialism holds that the right thing to do in any situation is determined completely by its consequences. This includes everything that will happen in the world as a result of the action. There are a multitude of variations branching from this which may differ in what part of the consequences they value; and as such have different value theories, but all will agree on the notion that the ends justify the means. Leaving open how moral goodness is determined, we will look at act consequentialism as the most basic form of the consequentialist theory. Consequentialism as a whole faces a lot of criticism, this essay will look into the demandingness objection to act consequentialism and analyse whether the theory can defend itself through the introduction of rule consequentialism. Act Consequentialism Act consequentialism claims the permissibility of an action is based on how good its consequences are compared with those of its feasible alternatives. An act is morally right if and only if that act maximizes the good, that is, an act is to be evaluated on the basis of whether it produces the best possible state of affairs, impartially considered. If it does produce the best possible state of affairs, then the act is counted as morally required (or morally permissible if the act is one of many possible acts that produce a state of affairs ... • 31. Compare Electronic Mediated And Face-To-Face Communication Compare Electronic Mediated and Face to Face Communication Communication is evolving quickly, offering us more options than ever before. Cellphone calls, texting via short messaging (SMS), Skype, teleconferencing, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, and face to face communication all play a major role in how people communicate with others around the world. Despite how I may fee, face to face communication is the best way to communicate with people because a lot of things won t get taken out of context and their won t be any misunderstanding. People are now connected electronically to 24 hour news cycles, updates on all the movements and activities of friends and celebrities, and even, in the case of physicians, with latest research findings on diagnoses and treatments of illnesses. Even counseling has expanded thanks to the Internet where some counselors now offer group sessions via chat, or provide treatment via instant messaging and emails. Psychologists have expressed concern whether computer mediated communication (CMC) will help or hinder those individuals who may be lonely and isolated from others. CMC has definitely changed how we communicate with others and has had an equal amount of problems related to misinterpretation. When it came to choosing one form of computer or electronic mediated communication, I decided to go with texting via short messaging system (SMS) due to many reasons with the main reason is because in the generation I live in we are always on our phones ... He became a familiar sight to all and the actions he demonstrated are still heavily linked to the ANZAC Legend today. The ANZAC Legend today is an important aspect of Australia s history and is significant to all Australian s today.
