The Philosophy Of Working Partnership
The philosophy of Working in partnership is vital in health and social care as it embraces strategy for
successful care delivery service for service users and care providers. Local authorities and health care
professionals have the responsibility to provide these services that are able to meet the social and
health care needs of the local population. Their duty can only be carried in partnership between
themselves or with other agencies
According to Glendinning et al. (2002, p. 3) partnership working consist of two or more agencies
working together with the intention to deliver benefits or added values whilst sharing trust ,equality
and responsibilities which cannot be achieved by an individual alone
There are six different philosophies generally acknowledged and aspired to be fulfilled in health and
social care partnership working which are as explained below.
Firstly, Autonomy is conceptualised as self determination in health care ethics, which means if a
person is autonomous, he or she can make own decisions regarding treatment and care (Widdershoven
and Abma, 2012, p. 217). Independence indicates playing self governing roles around everything to do
with oneself (Beales and Platz, 2008). For instance, allowing an elderly client to perform easy daily
tasks on her own and waiting till the completion of task can promote an independent achievement of
the service user.
Secondly , making informed choices implies to making aware of available

The Importance Of Friendship In The School Stories
The school story is an important, recurring sub genre of children s literature, and is specifically rooted
in British culture, where boarding school are more common and provide an enclosed, secular setting to
the characters adventures, often becoming a character in its own right, and acting as a stage for the
protagonists to grow, learn, fit in or stand out, deal with and challenge authority. The hero is rarely
alone; surrounded by the opposing and balancing forces of responsible adults and mischievous peers.
From Tyke Tyler s Danny Price to Harry Potter s Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, friends in the
school story are the centre of the protagonist s world, providers of balance, perspective, conflict and
support. For the young reader, these friendships suggest the need for company and intimacy in order to
succeed at school and in life, and can even be seen as guidelines showing children how to fit in and
strike their own friendships. While this effect on the reader s life can be seen as positive, providing
them with positive role models and examples of kindness and sharing, literary friendships often
reveal, upon closer analysis, some darker and somewhat unhealthy dynamics. For young readers,
stories act as a window to the world, and often an example to follow. The struggles and successes their
characters go through become a way to identify, empathize and learn. The school story, with its strong
representation of friendship and early social life, can thus help their

Irish Banshee Research Paper
The Irish Banshee Long flowing hair, blood shot eyes, rotted teeth, dressed in rags, with eyes filled of
so much sorrow, it s said to cause instant death by looking into them...The banshee is the ghost of a
young woman brutally killed, who visits families to warn them by the sound of a scream, about an
upcoming death. She comes in many different forms, and has many different interpretations of how
she is. Though some may see her as a scary frightful spirit, others see her as a helpful warning, in
order to prepare them for upcoming loss of a loved one. Regardless, she plays a big part in Irish
mythology, and has had many accounts of foretelling death in her home, Ireland since the early 1800
s. Some see the banshee as more of a threat to people, than of a helpful warning. It is believed that her
mouth is permanently open to emit a long and painful scream to torture the souls of the living, rather
than tell them something. Some also believe that she stalks her victims wailing and screaming at them
to the point of insanity or death, and rips men to death with her bare hands. In Ireland however, she is
thought of as a spirit of the family . Irish do not believe the banshee causes death, but merely warns of
it. She attends to families in a time of transition, but is heard more often than ... Show more content on

Social Underground Will Go Over The Newest Episode Of The...
Each week, Social Underground will go over the newest episode of the hit show Mr. Robot. There will
be a recap of what happened, and then some commentary on what happened and where the show
might go next. Trying to figure out where this show goes is pretty difficult since there are many plots
that interweve. The good thing about that is having a show that s unpredictable. No one like knowing
the end of a season at the beginning. Looking at you Wayward Pines. 2 seasons in a row! Ugh
Last week s episode was so full of weird stuff going on that at the end of it, I just sat there and went,
Wait, what just happened? It was like the entire episode went over my head, and that sort of made me
feel like an idiot. What happened the last few week s basically proved that the hack wasn t 100%
successful. E Corp took a huge hit, but the real people hurting are the people that had accounts with E
Corp banks. That s the complete opposite of what the Elliot and co. wanted to do. Their objective was
to free all people of their debt by hacking in. Maybe they should ve blown up all the credit card
buildings like in Fight Club. Elliot might have a blown off face, but hell, that seemed to work in that
movie.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
A lot happened this episode, so let s get to it:
In the opening scene, we are treated to a flashback of Elliot and Darlene celebrating a family reunion
with each other by watching a fake slasher film. These events take place before season one, so you can

ABSTRACT
Logic gates are one of the main constituents to design and integrate as a chip. With advent of vision
and method in neural network, the intricacy can be clear alongside this knowledge to a remarkable
extent. The intention of this paper is to focus on how to design a perceptron that is nothing but a single

mathematical background of neural network will be studied firstly. Then, Neural Web Toolbox in
MATLB® will be utilized to develop the neural web for assisting the analyzing of an AND gate.
II.BASIC CONCEPTS
II.A NEURON
The human brain is a collection of concerning 10 billion interconnected neurons. Every single neuron
is a cell that uses biochemical replies to accord, procedure and send information. It is an electrically
excitable cell that procedures and transmits data across mechanical and chemical signals. These
signals amid neurons transpire via synapses, enumerated connections alongside supplementary cells.
Neurons can link to every single supplementary to form neural networks. A neuron s dendritic tree is
related to a thousand bordering neurons. As one of those neuron fires, an affirmative or negative price
is consented by one of the dendrites.
II.B NEURAL NETWORK
Neural network is a computer arrangement of biological neurons, composed of nonlinear
computational agents working in parallel. A neuron s dendritic tree is related to a thousand bordering
neurons. As one of those neurons fire, an affirmative or negative price is consented by one of the
dendrites. The strengths of all the consented prices are added jointly across the procedures of spatial

Differences Of The Cosmopolitanism
Due to the wave of the World Values Surveys which was conducted in 57 countries around the world,
more than 30 percent of the 65,269 respondents, seriously, identified themselves as the citizens of the
world. So the Cosmopolitanism is an important and remarkable phenomenon (Miller, 2010). The
Cosmopolitan, is the attitude to yourself as a person, a citizen of the world and this attachment is
voluntary and selective (Bayram, 2014: 2). When we talk about the cosmopolitan, it can be imagined a
cultural social orientation that combines the two dependent dimensions to each other. The first and
most basic dimension is what it later called the cosmopolitan Idea, and refers to specific mental state
of the cosmopolitan (Hanrez, 1990). Cosmopolitan mindset can be understand as the way of thinking
about what Beck calls it the imagination of dialogue and thus includes two aspects: on the one hand,
the desire to communicate with others and the other tending to identify the orientation and background
of the person s cultural ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cosmopolitan territorial system includes the experience and the extent of expectations namely internal
differences, despite coexistence, the same life style, contrasting certainty in the experience of
individuals and communities. It means the world that we require to understand, think about and review
its differences and in this way they identify and prove the differences between themselves and others.
Cosmopolitan outlook and theoretical sensitivity prepare a space for imagination of dialogue in
everyday practice and the related sciences (Beck, 2006: 89). As Dlanty argues, this reflective and
critical duality of Cosmopolitan is what distinguishes it from the world. Cosmopolitan ethos
emphasizes willingness to change, Self changing and self competition (Johnson, 2012:

5. Addition.
1. Definition and function of rhyme.
Rhyme is the correspondence of two or more words with similar sounding final syllables placed so as
to echo one another. Rhyme is used by poets and occasionally by prose writers to produce sounds
appealing to the reader s senses and to unify and establish a poem s stanzaic form.
Rhyme is the repetition of identical or similar terminal sound combination of words. Rhyming words
are generally placed at a regular distance from each other. In verse they are usually placed at the end
of the corresponding lines.
The word is derived from Old French rime or ryme, which may be ... Show more content on

Also in the 7th Century, rhyme was used in the Qur an. The leonine verse is notable for introducing
rhyme into High Medieval literature in the 12th century.
Rhyme entered European poetry in the High Middle Ages, in part under the influence of the Arabic
language in Al Andalus (modern Spain). Arabic language poets used rhyme extensively from the first
development of literary Arabic in the sixth century, as in their long, rhyming qasidas.
Since languages change over time, lines which rhymed in the past may no longer rhyme in today s
language and it may not be clear how one would pronounce the words so that they rhyme.
3. Types of rhyme.
The word rhyme can be used in a specific and a general sense. In the specific sense, two words rhyme
if their final stressed vowel and all following sounds are identical; two lines of poetry rhyme if their
final strong positions are filled with rhyming words. A rhyme in the strict sense is also called a perfect
rhyme. Examples are sight and flight, deign and gain, madness and sadness.
Perfect rhyme
Perfect rhymes can be classified according to the number of syllables included in the rhyme, which is
dictated by the location of the final stressed syllable.
masculine: a rhyme in which the stress is on the final syllable of the words (rhyme, sublime);
feminine: a rhyme in which the stress is on the penultimate (second

Comparing Poems The Fish And At The Fishhouses
The American poet, Elizabeth Bishop, was a 20th century poet who was highly reputable for her
published work. She was a Pulitzer Prize winner in 1956, and a National Book Award Winner for
Poetry in 1970. She two of many famous poems, are The Fish and At The Fishhouses. These two
poems can be used to analyze her use of free verse and form to construct her poetic technique. Bishop
s poems are descriptive and illustrate reverence for something greater than herself. Elizabeth Bishop
intimately brings readers in by her poetic techniques such as simile, repetition and alliteration, thus
alluding to deeper meanings of knowledge and veneration. Although The Fish is a free verse, 76 line
poem, it has internal form including the use of similes to describe the scene only moments in time. In

Comparing the fish s skin to wallpaper twice emphasizes its importance. The ancient wallpaper, may
correspond to something powerful because it has withstood time. Likewise, once beautiful and preteen
wallpaper might not be the same after ages unless treated with respect. Wallpaper has a specific link to
the interior of a house too. Bishop connects with the house imagery to strengthen the value of ancient
wallpaper, like an object passed down to the next generation, to the skin of the fish. The last simile
Bishop offers compares the fish to an athlete or someone who has accumulated ribbons and metals. In
the fish s lower lip, there are lines and hooks, Like medals with their ribbons / frayed and wavering, / a
five haired beard of wisdom (61 63) Like the ancient wallpaper, this simile also describes the fish has
withstood over time. The five lines and hooks represent how many times the fish has been caught.

Essay on High Noon
For my at home movie I watched Hang em High directed by Ted Post. It is considered a spaghetti
western that was made in America. In comparison to the film we watched in class, High Noon directed
by Fred Zinnemann. These two westerns had many similarities and differences. From differences in
how the movie was actually shot, to the similarity of how both of the main characters are loners, these
two movies connect all over on many different levels.
High Noon was the story of a very brave man, Will Kane played by Gary Cooper, which is giving up

s life. Then the Marshall brought him to the judge to see if he is guilty. Eventually, it was discovered
that Cooper was innocent, and had bought the cattle from a criminal who killed the owner then sold
the cattle to him. Cooper was finally released, but he now wanted revenge on the men who tried to

Pros And Cons Of The VA Scandal
The VA Scandal The Veterans Affairs program was originated to aid Veterans by providing them with
top of the line benefits and care. The United States Veteran Affairs operates the nation s largest health
care system to support a single group of Americans. They offer many amenities with hospitals, clinics,
community living centers, and much more. The Veterans Affairs office offers assistance to current
military personnel, Veterans, their dependents and survivors. On April of 2014, a scandal surrounding
the Veterans Affairs scandal went viral. The publicity started when there were cases where forty

The government s response to these discoveries was summed up with president Obama s statement,
We will not stand for substandard care for our veterans (Zezima1). Today, the Veteran s Affairs
program remains under audit and under criminal investigations. Although these audits and
investigations are looking to target the problems and improve the program, this could take years due to
the complexity of the program itself. So in theory are these actions hindering the system currently?
These audits and investigations have already made some improvements within the system. They have
pinned down the issue and Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki, has taken responsibility for the
confirmed allegations of long wait times and false record keeping (Zezimer,1), but can we really
contribute this whole scandal to one person? Of course not, it took the effort of many to be able to
falsify records. Even though Shinseki resigned that does not fix the problem. There will have to be an
extreme clearing in the system to rid the problem. As a matter of fact, the investigations and audit
could be making it more difficult for the veterans. The investigations call for many changes, which
could draw out the process of getting into the clinics and receiving benefits. So although the audits
will help in the long run, they are hindering in the present. Another thing to

On the Nature of Creativity
On The Nature of Creativity All things created in over the many years is categorised as something that
s useful, valuable, clarity, innovative, novel or...creative. The two philosophers Larry Briskman and
Carl Huasman have written up an essay on their belief of what creativity is, there understanding and
notion of creativity both include a criteria to match for a product to be creative. If creativity is based
on criteria then we can agree that criteria are based on a set of rules to abide with, and then if that s the
case creativity is defined in an objective perspective. Creativity has many views in this case the
philosophers have explained in in a non psychological way. Creativity is more based on a subjective
and psychological view which will be explained in detail later on in the essay. If creativity were to be
assessed by criteria then creativity simply can t be called creative . In other words this means if
something is to be creative but has to be evaluated by someone to be classified creative then how can
we call this product a creative product. As mentioned by David Jones any group of experts who claim
to be able to objectively identify the aesthetic value of a work must be mistaken. They can do no more
than mutually reinforce their own personal taste and preferences .(1) I see creativity as a personal
belief of what you see as an audience, you can t determine a product to be creative If it s not valuable
or if it needs to be evaluated(2). If I took the

Factors Influencing A Person s Political Views
Self Evaluation
A lot of factor influences a person s political views. A person is influenced by a lot of things that make
them able to take the political stance at a point of life. As an individual, he walks through the pace of
long life to understand the values and beliefs that he has been hearing since childhood. Sometimes it is
really hard for one to decide what political party he wants to support, at that time he can take the
suggestion from his family, friends, media and online quizzes.
The process through which a person develops political beliefs and opinions that influence their
behavior in social spheres is known as political socialization. It is the way in which a person gets his
attitude and belief about politics. Political ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Political ideology is a more or less consistent set of views as to the policies the government ought to
pursue. People around the world, at some point, obtain a political ideology in their lifetime. American
politics functions largely in the middle of the political spectrum as a contest between liberals and
conservatives. Liberals believe the government has an important place both as a regulator in the public
interest and to assist those with lower incomes. On the other hand, they still oppose government
intervention in matters of personal autonomy. Conservatives feel there is too much government
interference, particularly at the federal level, in the economy. This belief translates into calls for lower
taxes, reduced spending on social programs, and deregulation. Perhaps because most Americans see
themselves as moderates, politicians find it difficult to stay within the ideological boundaries of
liberalism or conservatism. Many stress their credentials as fiscal conservatives while taking liberal
positions on social issues. Others take a populist line, embracing active governmental intervention in
both economic and cultural spheres. Upon taking the online quiz, the website told me that I was 82%

The importance of protecting the safety of the public and most importantly, the children is a lot higher
than the offenders right to privacy. According to a study done by Expert Law, the biggest raised
concern is the fear of vigilantism. That is, law enforcement undertaken without legal authority by a
self appointed group of people. The fear was if neighbors learned about a sex offender s presence in
their neighborhood and decided to force them out or cause physical harm, which is illegal. Violent acts
against offenders are uncommon.
Megan s Law comes with the disadvantage that it discourages many sex offenders from participating
in the registry due to the fear factor of them being attacked or looked at differently in their
neighborhood. Even though it is a felony offense to fail to register on Megan s Law, around 20% of
offenders do not comply with the registration requirement. The United Kingdom does not have public

Hip Fractures And The Most Serious Clinical Consequence Of...
Background
Osteoporosis, millions of people suffered worldwide, is a condition where the amount of bone is
declined but its elements remain unchanged, leading to bone fragility and fractures (Garrow, James
and Ralph, 1999). Associated with morbidity and mortality (Holt et al., 2008), hip fractures are
recognized as the most serious clinical consequence of osteoporosis, resulting in an increased
estimated incidence from 1.26 million in 1990 to 2.6 and 4.5 million by the year of 2025 and 2050,
respectively (Gullberg, Johnell and Kanis, 1997). In Europe, the direct expenditure of osteoporotic

However, several randomized controlled trials (RCTs) proved no evidence between CaD and risk of
hip fracture (Smith et al., 2007; Law et al., 2006), suggesting that the amount recommended above

Due to prevalence in postmenopausal women and controversy mentioned above, this critical review
focuses on proving relationship between different level of CaD intake and prevention of hip fracture
via RCTs studies.
Search strategy
Pubmed and Web of Science were used in searching relevant articles with the terms calcium and/or
vitamin D , in conjunction with hip fracture . Titles and abstracts were read to select articles included
relationship between dietary and hip fracture. Non relevant articles such as education and management
of post surgery were discarded. Relevant articles should meet following criteria: a) English, b)
postmenopausal women, c) RCT, d) free of osteoporosis. Most of the chosen articles were only
focused on postmenopausal women, whilst the rest few ones focused on both gender.
Review
Fourteen studies were critically reviewed in order to check whether joint or independent effect of
calcium and vitamin D on hip fracture risk or bone mineral density as a result of effect on prevention
of hip fracture.

How Did Thucydides Contribute To The Peloponnesian War
Thucydides, an Athenian who lived during the Peloponnesian War (431 404 BC), may be one of the
earliest western war theorists thanks to his work, History of the Peloponnesian War. His history
described the conflict between ancient Athens and Sparta. In doing so, he authored one of the most
balanced and powerful explanations of the causes of war.
Thucydides, linked to the Athenian aristocracy, enjoyed a wealthy upbringing and education as a
youth. As an adult, he served as a commander for Athens. He witnessed a number speeches, debates,
and events or heard them second hand that decided the many courses the war would take. This all
bears out in the articulate, informed narrative of the war from tactical through strategic levels.
Surprisingly, Thucydides maintained an objective perspective through much of his history. One
assumes that as an Athenian, he would take a pro Athens approach. However, two reasons provide
balance and significance to his work. First, following the loss ... Show more content on

their military character. The agrarian Sparta formed a dominant landpower while the seafaring
Athenians cultivated a powerful navy. Further, though a small theater of operations compared to

Death Of A Salesman Rhetorical Analysis Essay
Miller uses an arrogant tone to convey, the deluded nature of Willy. He uses tone to prove his theme of
how easily people can stray from reality. Miller uses euphonious language to lighten the situation, for
example WILLY. [angrily] What re you talking about? With scholarships to three universities they re

candor, as Willy is not being honest about the consequences of failing; he is not taking the information
as fact and instead reveals how his reluctance to accept reality is caused by his arrogance. Miller aslo

Everything Willy has said has been taking for fact, and because Willy does not listen to Bernard he

of their inability to take criticism and listen to what Bernard has to say.

The Greek and Roman Mythos Analysis
The greeks believed that chaos and peace go hand in hand for peace can only exist with the presences
of chaos and vice versa, like many myths it carries a violent beginning which relates to human nature.
The Roman religion was more practical and less poetical than the Greek religion. Every Roman god
had something to do, some useful duty to perform. The Greek and Roman Gods worshipped by the
two nations had similar roles and duties. However, their names were different. The religion of the
Romans differed in some aspects from that of the Greeks, so much as it was basically a state religion,
and It was more of a ritual and a ceremony. It included most of the gods of the Greek Pantheon, but
was more comprehensive. The gods of both religions possess human qualities such as jealousy,

A recovery effort to get the bodies of two missing snowshoers from Boston will have to wait until

Conflict Managment
Managing Conflict in the Workplace
By LaQuita Watson
Current Issues in Human Resources
Dr. Overby
April 9, 2008
Conflict management refers to the long term management of intractable conflicts. It is the label for the
variety of ways by which people handle grievances standing up for what they consider to be right and
against what they consider to be wrong. Those ways include such diverse phenomena as gossip,
ridicule, lynching, terrorism, warfare, feuding, genocide, law, mediation, and avoidance. Some of the
forms of conflict management can be used in any given situation and can be somewhat predicted and
explained by the social structure or social geometry of the case. ... Show more content on

This ensures that job role doesn t conflict and no task falls in a crack. Make sure that there is a
relationship built with all subordinates. Try to meet at least once a month alone with them in your
office. Get on a personal level with them and ask about their accomplishments, challenges and issues.
Make a report of regular written status reports and include accomplishments, current issues and needs
from management and the plans for the upcoming period. One should always conduct basic training
about interpersonal communications, conflict management and delegation. Develop procedures for
routine tasks and include the employees input. For example have the employees write procedures
when possible and appropriate. Get the employees review of the procedures. Distribute the procedures
and train each employee on the procedure. Hold regular management meetings every month to
communicate new initiatives and status of current programs. Consider an anonymous suggestion box
in which employees can provide suggestions. (Mayer 85 93)
Conflict Management Techniques
There is no one best way to deal with conflict. It depends on the current situation. Some of the major
ways that people deal with conflict is that they avoid it. Pretending that conflict is not there can
usually harm a situation. Use this when it simply is not worth the effort to argue. Usually this
approach tends to worsen the conflict over time. Avoiding is

Essay on Women Don t Exist in Their Own Right in the Play
In the time `Hamlet was performed, the Elizabethan audience would not have believed in equality for
women, so the play seems far more sexist to us, the modern audience, than it ever would have to the
Elizabethans. In our lifetimes women are viewed as equals to men, women can have a job and don t
have to take orders from the men in their family. As Paul Thomas says in `Authority and Disorder in
Tudor times , `It would seem that the least dignified, that of uncomplicated submission in a brutally
male world, was a standard and sensible policy for most females for most of the time . In
Shakespearian times women were viewed only as one of two extremes, whores or virgins. Paul
Thomas talks about a bishop in Elizabethan times named ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Liz Lewis thinks this could be `because of his extraordinary genius for portraying human behaviour,
necessarily depicted the condition of women within a patriarchal system and created women
characters which in their richness, transcend the limitations of time. He did write for male
entertainment and it would be historically incorrect to regard his as a feminist.
Therefore, in order to discuss the question, we need to take it apart and consider what it actually
means. When we say `exist , what exactly do we mean? In my opinion the way the female characters,
Ophelia and Gertrude, in `Hamlet exist, is the way in which they live, the way they are viewed by
others in the play, and the way would be perceived by us, or the Elizabethan audience. We have to see
exactly who the male characters are, and the different parts they play. In addition, this essay will
attempt to discover exactly how Shakespeare used Ophelia and Gertrude for the plot, and consider if
they exist in their own right or as the title expresses, as simply `extensions of the male characters.
Gertrude and Ophelia are very feminine characters in `Hamlet , by this I mean they typify the
Elizabethan ideal of a woman, and both are condemned in some way (for being women) by the male
characters. It could be suggested from the `closet scene that Hamlet is jealous of his mother s new
husband. Liz Lewis says Gertrude `transgresses the patriarchal bounds of femininity by marrying so

Difference Between Acetaminophen And Thiourea
This research is important to provide a better understanding for the enhancement of acetaminophen
and thiourea because currently there is no concrete evidence that shows the formation of the respective
co crystals. Thus, by exploring this formation by using the three selected techniques which are solvent
drop grinding, rotavap, and slow cooling, the interaction between them can be investigated.
From the overall observations, the conclusions that can be made are:
i. All three techniques used can produce the desired crystals of acetaminophen, thiourea, and ratios of

In The World Of Accounting, Cost Accounting Serves As...
In the world of accounting, cost accounting serves as managers go to system for cost information. As
previously mentioned, cost accounting is a specialized subset of accounting that collects, determines,
classifies, and interpret the cost of products or services. In addition, the concepts of cost accounting
are to account for the incurrence and control of cost and measure the operating efficiency of a
company on a periodical basis. Cost accounting, as defined here, deals with the rest when, and if, such
measurement helps management drive the organization to work better and cost less. (Geiger, 1995, pg.

Activity based costing (ABC) Method
While analyzing how companies within the service industry utilize activity based cost (ABC), Onat,
Anitsal, Anitsal, (2014), stated that Activity based costing (ABC) focuses on the idea that activities
create costs, while products use activities to gain value added. (pg. 150). In general, this means that
the theory behind activity based costing (ABC) method is that merchandises or services consume
activities and activities consume resources. When used, activity based costing first recognizes key
activities that create overhead costs. Secondly, the activities that have similar cost drivers are then
categorized into cost pools, and finally allocates the total overhead costs for products and services by
computing absorption rate of each cost pool, respectively. Some issues associated with activity based
costing (ABC) is that it is expensive to implement and data can easily be misrepresented. One of the
critical issue company encounter while utilizing the activity based costing method is that it is difficult
to separate some overhead costs the CEO of the company

Violence is not something that can be used well, whether used in video games or in real life. Harris

Architectural buildings around the world make up one factor of the beauty and culture of each country.
The Winter Palace is an incredibly beautiful architectural building in St. Petersburg, Russia. The
Winter Palace consists of great importance politically, culturally, and symbolically in the city s third
century. In 1708, the Winter Palace was first built as a wooden house with a Dutch style to be the
Imperial residence of Peter the Great and his family. In 1711, the wood was replaced by a stone
building. However, in 1731 Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli was assigned to reconstruct the palace
into a much larger and newer design. The third reconstruction of the palace was completed in the year

Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
A recently graduated working paramedic is referred to as an Advanced Care Paramedic, or an ACP. An
ACP follows a clinical structure, the first aspect of the format is called a primary survey which
collects all emergency patient information. This compulsory technique aims to identify and control
catastrophic medical events to ensure patients have the best outcome possible (Hodegetts et al., 2011).
When conducting a primary survey of a patient an ACP would follow the basic structure of danger,

#1 MAKE OBSERVATIONS
Even in middle school biology I learned that the body produced ATP and used it for energy, and I
never thought about what the abbreviation meant. When I learned that ATP was adenosine
triphosphate, which is composed of a modified form of adenine and phosphates, it made me wonder
why there is not chemical energy using the other bases.
#2 ASK QUESTIONS
Why is ATP the most common form of chemical energy rather than CTP, TTP, or GTP?
#3 HYPOTHESIS
Because adenine is a purine and utilizes 2 hydrogen bonds when it is in DNA, it fits better with the
ribose and phosphates.
The body produces an excess of adenine so it is the best choice for a nitrogenous base.

dATP has no purpose other than in DNA replication.
ATP is the most popular source because adenosine has many uses.
ATP is used in kinases, as a source of energy, and can combine with niacin to form NAD.
Guanosine is similar to adenosine, but is rarely used to give up phosphates. The only exception is in
tubulin, which helps with construction of cytoskeletons.
Guanosine is mainly used in G proteins, which help relay hormonal and chemical signals.
Other guanosine molecules mainly help control intercellular traffic and relay signals.
Uridine is mainly used in glycogen synthesis. UTP will bind to a glucose and form a UDP glucose and
a free phosphate, making the glucose more reactive.
UDP is used to help break down the other monosaccharides as well.
CTP is similar to UTP except that instead of helping break down sugar CTP helps to break down fats.
CDP diacylglycerol and CDP choline are all found in plasma membranes.
ATP is ideal because it is a purine and purine rings give them a wider range of uses.

FreeFlyer install. The image file locations of Earth textures used in FreeFlyer 2D and 3D models are
stored and set via the User Preferences Editor, located in the Options menu. Then under the Display
section on the left side of the User Preferences Editor, click Mission View and look at the Celestial
Bodies box. Choose Earth from the drop down box showing Sun, and you ll see the file paths of the
various images used for Earth. If you click the Browse button next to the Clouds Image Filename a

the graphics card must support OpenGL 2.1 or higher and there must be at least 512mb of RAM

Many of the interviews included in the film are those of friends, family, and witnesses. The most
impacting of those interviews were those that included friends and family. The film reached out to Till
s mother and was able to interview and she really tied the documentary together, often she would
speak about her deceased son and how his death impacted her and the rest of the African American
community. Moses Wright who was there when Bryant kidnapped Emmet was also very impactful, he
tried to convince the kidnappers to give the boy a whipping, instead of doing the unthinkable, of
course, they didn t listen and took the boy. Many other friends and family of Till were interviewed as
well, many of which described Till and his personality. This allowed the audience to build an image of
Emmet Till, which also something many documentaries fail to do. An ordinary documentary would
give the audience cold hard facts about the case, The Murder of Emmet Till, however; builds upon
emotion by building up these people like an author would build a character. The film uses the
audience s emotions to emphasize the importance and tragedy of this event, the use of emotion also

The Effects Of Caffeine On Children s Performance On...
In the neocortex, acetylcholine (ACh) stimulates arousal and plays a major role in attention and
working memory (Jones, 2008). Neuropsychological studies on caffeine report increased arousal,
alertness, increased energy and concentration (Smith, 2002; Ruxton, 2008; Brunye´ et al., 2010) even
at doses as low as 50 mg, which is comparable to the amount of caffeine in a cup of tea. It has been
indicated that even in low doses caffeine improves performance on attention tasks (Brunye´ et al.,
2010a). However, caffeine intake has also been associated with anxiety, nervousness, irritability,
insomnia and even panic attacks (Bruce et al., 1992; Lieberman, 1992; Sicard et al., 1996) . During an
elevated plus maze test of anxiety in rats, it was found that high doses of caffeine brought a
remarkably increased anxiety like behavior (Jain et al., 2005).
Similarly, nicotine improves cognitive performance by improving learning, memory and attention
(Levin and Rezvani, 2002; Swan, 2007). In a social interaction test for anxiety, nicotine was shown to
have an anxiolytic effect at lower doses and an anxiogenic effect at high doses (File et al., 1998).

The Seperation of Powers and the American Constitution When the founding fathers wrote the
Constitution they came up with a revolutionary idea which is known as the seperation of powers. This
incorperated a system which protected the principles on which the constitution was based, such as
avoiding tyranny and forming a more perfect union. The way the seperation of powers work is known
as vertical and horizontal. The vertical seperation of powers has three different branches, the Federal
government, the state governments and the much smaller local governments. The local governments

There are powers though that can not be taken away from any of these three branches meaning all
have been limited. To prevent the federal, state or maybe even local governments taking control of the

branches, these are the executive, legislature and the judiciary. All three use a system known as
Checks and Balances, this allows one of the the branches to be watched over and checked on by the
other two branches . This works well as the Supreme Courtprotects the constitution by ruling on
whether or not a bill is constitutional or unconstitutional. There are downsides to the Checks and
Balances as was seen in 1995 during the Appropreations Crisis when government shut down for two
weeks as Congress and the, then, President Clinton could not agree over the Appropreations Bill.
There is also the Line Item Veto which came from the Appropreation s Crisis, this allowed the

Process Analysis Essay for Writing Papers
Process Analysis Essay
When writing a paper it can be very difficult unless you break it up into sections. When I had to write
my first paper I felt like a man on a desert island all alone without a clue on how to do anything. But
with the help of a few teachers they taught me how to survive on the island of writing papers. What
the teachers taught me was that just like everything in life it needs to be taken in steps. The steps they
taught me still apply to the papers I write to this day. The first thing you need when you write a paper
is a strong foundation. Everything must start at the bottom and be built up. This applies to everything.
It all starts with an idea. So start your paper with an idea, write them all down and ... Show more

Female Idealizations And Norms Within The Films Like Water...
The complex web of cultural determinations and predefined ideological system are predominant in the
lives of the female characters named Tita, Gertrudis, and Frida Kahlo in the movies Like Water for
Chocolate and Frida. Furthermore, throughout history, the development of female idealizations and
norms, which powerfully influences the behavior of women throughout society, has derived from a
masculine structure that is imposed onto the female gender. Although this is still prevalent in modern
culture, throughout the years surrounding the Mexican Revolution, women were perceived as
subordinate to men due to particular cultural determinants and predefined beliefs that existed within
the structure of society. Specifically, this structure played a leading role in the lives of women, which
regarded them as inferior to men while characteristically portraying women in traditional domestic
roles, thereby influencing the social norm of femininity throughout civilization. Predominantly,
throughout the films, the existence of the complex web of cultural determinations and the predefined
ideological system within social and family traditions largely impacts the dominant character and
behavior of Tita, Gertrudis, and Frida. As such, in order to break free from the complex web of
cultural determinations, and challenge the predefined ideological systems in their lives, the female
characters of Tita, Gertrudis, and Frida behave in rebellious ways that reject the given traditions

All The Presidents Men Ap Government Paper
All the Presidents Men
All the presidents men begins on June 17 1972 when five burglars broke into the Democratic National
headquarters, which was located at the Watergate Hotel. Most of the Newspapers disregarded the story
as just another break in but Two reporters for the Washington post stuck with the story till the End.
The two reporters named Carl Bernstien and Bob Woodward realized that this break in was some how
involved in the up coming election but they did not know how. Their first move was to follow where
the money for the break in came from. The Money led them to find a safe full of money that was to go
to the Re election of President Nixon. This Money came From the Committee to re elect the president

He told them some of the Tactics CRP would use was the Handing out of Campaign literature written
by CRP that made the Democrats look like racists. CRP would also give Democrat supporters wrong
information about Rally s for the Democratic nominee and order pizzas and liquor to democratic
campaign rallies. Woodward and Bernstien would later find there had been political sabotage tracing
back to JFK.
Woodward and Bernstein were then contacted by a reliable source named Deep Throat. Deep Throat
gave them information on who had control of the money in Sloan s safe. He pointed them to two high
ranking official that were thought to be the masterminds of the break in and of other CRP actions of
political sabotage. Their names were Bob Hadleman and John Ehrlichman. Deep throat also said the
attorney general John Mitchell was also some how involved. As Woodward and Bernstien were having
there articles published about Watergate the White House was denying any involvement in the
Watergate break in and denying the CRP safe which held money that went to political sabotage. The
White House also claimed that the post was only publishing story s that helped Democrats and never
published stories about political sabotage on the republican campaign. They also claimed the post was
sabotaging the republican campaign by writing these stories.

Concordion Essay
Concordion tests are written in HTML and then instrumented with special attributes that Concordion
interprets to execute the test. Rather than forcing product owners to specify requirements in a specially
structured language, Concordion lets you write them in normal language using paragraphs, tables and
proper punctuation [7]. This makes the specifications much more natural to read and write, and helps
everyone to understand and agree about what a feature is supposed to do. The HTML files are
typically stored with the source code, which has the benefit that they can be under the same version
control system as the rest of the code. Concordion enriches agile processes and has been successfully
applied in industrial context. B. Cucumber It is a software tool that computer programmers use for
testing other software. It runs automated acceptance tests written in a behavior driven development
(BDD) style. Cucumber is written in the Ruby programming language [8]. Cucumber projects are
available for other platforms beyond Ruby. Some use Ruby Cucumber with a bridge into the target
language like cuke4php and cuke4lua. Others use the Gherkin parser but implement everything else in
the target language. Cucumber allows the execution of feature documentation written in business
facing text. Because software automatically tested by Cucumber, your specifications are always bang
up to date. C. Specification by example Specification by example (SBE) is a collaborative approach to

Engel V. Vitale 1962 370 Summary
Name of Case: Engel v. Vitale 1962 370 U.S. 421 Background of the Case: In 1951 the New York
state Board of regents (state board of education ) approved a twenty two word nondenominational
prayer to the new york public schools to be recited each morning. It read as follows Almighty God, we
acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers
and our Country. The school board believed it would increase good citizenship, promote good morals,
and develop good character. The parents of ten pupils disagreed, they filed a lawsuit in a new york
state court seeking a ban on the prayer. The court ruled to uphold the prayer in public schools as long
as the school did not force any student to join in the prayer over his or his parents objection. Court
Vote: the court denied the right of the government to write prayers to be recited in public schools 6 1
Majority Opinion: justice Hugo Black delivered the opinion of the Court denying the state board of
education the right to write and encourage public schools ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Analysis: I choose this case because I was curious about the topic but also because of recent
controversy over different religions. I see both sides of this case. I believe that the parents of the
children were right to fight the school board because not all religions worship or pray the same way
christians do and not everyone is religious and as american citizens we have that right . Granet the
prayer was a very generic christian prayer in the sense that it did not refer to any denominations but it
is still a prayer. As a christian I would want my kids to be able pray before every school

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind provides a good example of the possibility of presenting
philosophical concepts in a fictional feature film. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is science
fiction based romantic and comedy film written by Charlie Kaufman and is directed by Michel
Gondry. The film is based on romance and mainly the scientific aspect to explore and flourish the
nature of the human memory. The film was presented to the viewers in March 2004. The film is made
closer to originality, something like troubling memories forgotten by the mind of the person but still it
is some where in memory. Sometimes we are concentrated on everlasting thoughts in our minds when
we are alone and making assumptions about matter, the film is based on such phenomenon and is a
great piece of art.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a movie primarily about two lovers namely Joel Barish and
Clementine Kruczynski. Joel, wakes up on Valentine s Day, skips work, takes a train to Montauk, and
meets Clementine. In this film Joel, a soloist meets a girl namely clementine who needs carefulness
and love but their relationship ended when Joel came to know that she had erased him from her
memory. Joel became sad after being aware of the situation, he was desperate and finally came to a
logical solution to forget her and then he removed her from his mind as well. Joel and Clementine
incidentally met again in a train and immediately drawn to each

The Relevance of Sustainability in Marketing Decision Making
Introduction
Sustainable marketing calls for socially and environmentally responsible actions that meet the present

the customer s the needs and wants while also putting high emphasis on the environment and the
social issues and thus creating profits in a socially responible way. Mention triple bottom line While

Walmart constantly initiates sustainability initiatives which postively affects the customer s
environmental behaviors, employees and its suppliers. It also promotes sustainablity to its employees
by initiating personal sustainability project (PSP) where employees are committed to responsible acts
in front of their coworkers like from quitting smoking to replacing their lighting system at their house
with energy saving bulbs. Because Walmart operates under very stringent environmentally focused
practices they also enforce many laws to its suppliers to examine the carbon life cycle of their
products and change the way they manufacture, package and transport the goods. This strategy saves
Walmort extra costs which in turn reduce costs on the poducts they sell and which adversely can save

  • 2. The Philosophy Of Working Partnership The philosophy of Working in partnership is vital in health and social care as it embraces strategy for successful care delivery service for service users and care providers. Local authorities and health care professionals have the responsibility to provide these services that are able to meet the social and health care needs of the local population. Their duty can only be carried in partnership between themselves or with other agencies According to Glendinning et al. (2002, p. 3) partnership working consist of two or more agencies working together with the intention to deliver benefits or added values whilst sharing trust ,equality and responsibilities which cannot be achieved by an individual alone There are six different philosophies generally acknowledged and aspired to be fulfilled in health and social care partnership working which are as explained below. Firstly, Autonomy is conceptualised as self determination in health care ethics, which means if a person is autonomous, he or she can make own decisions regarding treatment and care (Widdershoven and Abma, 2012, p. 217). Independence indicates playing self governing roles around everything to do with oneself (Beales and Platz, 2008). For instance, allowing an elderly client to perform easy daily tasks on her own and waiting till the completion of task can promote an independent achievement of the service user. • 3. The Importance Of Friendship In The School Stories The school story is an important, recurring sub genre of children s literature, and is specifically rooted in British culture, where boarding school are more common and provide an enclosed, secular setting to the characters adventures, often becoming a character in its own right, and acting as a stage for the protagonists to grow, learn, fit in or stand out, deal with and challenge authority. The hero is rarely alone; surrounded by the opposing and balancing forces of responsible adults and mischievous peers. From Tyke Tyler s Danny Price to Harry Potter s Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, friends in the school story are the centre of the protagonist s world, providers of balance, perspective, conflict and support. For the young reader, these friendships suggest the need for company and intimacy in order to succeed at school and in life, and can even be seen as guidelines showing children how to fit in and strike their own friendships. While this effect on the reader s life can be seen as positive, providing them with positive role models and examples of kindness and sharing, literary friendships often reveal, upon closer analysis, some darker and somewhat unhealthy dynamics. For young readers, stories act as a window to the world, and often an example to follow. The struggles and successes their characters go through become a way to identify, empathize and learn. The school story, with its strong representation of friendship and early social life, can thus help their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Irish Banshee Research Paper The Irish Banshee Long flowing hair, blood shot eyes, rotted teeth, dressed in rags, with eyes filled of so much sorrow, it s said to cause instant death by looking into them...The banshee is the ghost of a young woman brutally killed, who visits families to warn them by the sound of a scream, about an upcoming death. She comes in many different forms, and has many different interpretations of how she is. Though some may see her as a scary frightful spirit, others see her as a helpful warning, in order to prepare them for upcoming loss of a loved one. Regardless, she plays a big part in Irish mythology, and has had many accounts of foretelling death in her home, Ireland since the early 1800 s. Some see the banshee as more of a threat to people, than of a helpful warning. It is believed that her mouth is permanently open to emit a long and painful scream to torture the souls of the living, rather than tell them something. Some also believe that she stalks her victims wailing and screaming at them to the point of insanity or death, and rips men to death with her bare hands. In Ireland however, she is thought of as a spirit of the family . Irish do not believe the banshee causes death, but merely warns of it. There will be a recap of what happened, and then some commentary on what happened and where the show might go next. Trying to figure out where this show goes is pretty difficult since there are many plots that interweve. The good thing about that is having a show that s unpredictable. No one like knowing the end of a season at the beginning. Looking at you Wayward Pines. 2 seasons in a row! Ugh Last week s episode was so full of weird stuff going on that at the end of it, I just sat there and went, Wait, what just happened? It was like the entire episode went over my head, and that sort of made me feel like an idiot. What happened the last few week s basically proved that the hack wasn t 100% successful. E Corp took a huge hit, but the real people hurting are the people that had accounts with E Corp banks. That s the complete opposite of what the Elliot and co. wanted to do. Their objective was to free all people of their debt by hacking in. Maybe they should ve blown up all the credit card buildings like in Fight Club. Elliot might have a blown off face, but hell, that seemed to work in that movie. SPOILER ALERT!!! A lot happened this episode, so let s get to it: In the opening scene, we are treated to a flashback of Elliot and Darlene celebrating a family reunion with each other by watching a fake slasher film. Differences Of The Cosmopolitanism Due to the wave of the World Values Surveys which was conducted in 57 countries around the world, more than 30 percent of the 65,269 respondents, seriously, identified themselves as the citizens of the world. So the Cosmopolitanism is an important and remarkable phenomenon (Miller, 2010). The Cosmopolitan, is the attitude to yourself as a person, a citizen of the world and this attachment is voluntary and selective (Bayram, 2014: 2). When we talk about the cosmopolitan, it can be imagined a cultural social orientation that combines the two dependent dimensions to each other. The first and most basic dimension is what it later called the cosmopolitan Idea, and refers to specific mental state of the cosmopolitan (Hanrez, 1990). Essay on Women Don t Exist in Their Own Right in the Play In the time `Hamlet was performed, the Elizabethan audience would not have believed in equality for women, so the play seems far more sexist to us, the modern audience, than it ever would have to the Elizabethans. In our lifetimes women are viewed as equals to men, women can have a job and don t have to take orders from the men in their family. As Paul Thomas says in `Authority and Disorder in Tudor times , `It would seem that the least dignified, that of uncomplicated submission in a brutally male world, was a standard and sensible policy for most females for most of the time . Therefore, in order to discuss the question, we need to take it apart and consider what it actually means. When we say `exist , what exactly do we mean? In my opinion the way the female characters, Ophelia and Gertrude, in `Hamlet exist, is the way in which they live, the way they are viewed by others in the play, and the way would be perceived by us, or the Elizabethan audience. We have to see exactly who the male characters are, and the different parts they play. In addition, this essay will attempt to discover exactly how Shakespeare used Ophelia and Gertrude for the plot, and consider if they exist in their own right or as the title expresses, as simply `extensions of the male characters. Gertrude and Ophelia are very feminine characters in `Hamlet , by this I mean they typify the Elizabethan ideal of a woman, and both are condemned in some way (for being women) by the male characters. The primary methods of cost accounting include activity based costing (ABC), performance measures method, and the standard accounting method and each method involves different processes, measurement capabilities, cost benefits, and potential costing issues, companies experience. Activity based costing (ABC) Method While analyzing how companies within the service industry utilize activity based cost (ABC), Onat, Anitsal, Anitsal, (2014), stated that Activity based costing (ABC) focuses on the idea that activities create costs, while products use activities to gain value added. (pg. 150). In general, this means that the theory behind activity based costing (ABC) method is that merchandises or services consume activities and activities consume resources. When used, activity based costing first recognizes key activities that create overhead costs. Secondly, the activities that have similar cost drivers are then categorized into cost pools, and finally allocates the total overhead costs for products and services by computing absorption rate of each cost pool, respectively. Some issues associated with activity based costing (ABC) is that it is expensive to implement and data can easily be misrepresented. The Winter Palace is an incredibly beautiful architectural building in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Winter Palace consists of great importance politically, culturally, and symbolically in the city s third century. In 1708, the Winter Palace was first built as a wooden house with a Dutch style to be the Imperial residence of Peter the Great and his family. In 1711, the wood was replaced by a stone building. However, in 1731 Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli was assigned to reconstruct the palace into a much larger and newer design. The third reconstruction of the palace was completed in the year of 1735. This compulsory technique aims to identify and control catastrophic medical events to ensure patients have the best outcome possible (Hodegetts et al., 2011). When conducting a primary survey of a patient an ACP would follow the basic structure of danger, response, airway, breathing and circulation; usually shortened into the acronym DRABC (Woo, 2000). The only exception is in tubulin, which helps with construction of cytoskeletons. Guanosine is mainly used in G proteins, which help relay hormonal and chemical signals. Other guanosine molecules mainly help control intercellular traffic and relay signals. Uridine is mainly used in glycogen synthesis. UTP will bind to a glucose and form a UDP glucose and a free phosphate, making the glucose more reactive. UDP is used to help break down the other monosaccharides as well. CTP is similar to UTP except that instead of helping break down sugar CTP helps to break down fats. CDP diacylglycerol and CDP choline are all found in plasma membranes. Neuropsychological studies on caffeine report increased arousal, alertness, increased energy and concentration (Smith, 2002; Ruxton, 2008; Brunye´ et al., 2010) even at doses as low as 50 mg, which is comparable to the amount of caffeine in a cup of tea. It has been indicated that even in low doses caffeine improves performance on attention tasks (Brunye´ et al., 2010a). However, caffeine intake has also been associated with anxiety, nervousness, irritability, insomnia and even panic attacks (Bruce et al., 1992; Lieberman, 1992; Sicard et al., 1996) . During an elevated plus maze test of anxiety in rats, it was found that high doses of caffeine brought a remarkably increased anxiety like behavior (Jain et al., 2005). Similarly, nicotine improves cognitive performance by improving learning, memory and attention (Levin and Rezvani, 2002; Swan, 2007). In a social interaction test for anxiety, nicotine was shown to have an anxiolytic effect at lower doses and an anxiogenic effect at high doses (File et al., 1998). Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is science fiction based romantic and comedy film written by Charlie Kaufman and is directed by Michel Gondry. The film is based on romance and mainly the scientific aspect to explore and flourish the nature of the human memory. The film was presented to the viewers in March 2004. The film is made closer to originality, something like troubling memories forgotten by the mind of the person but still it is some where in memory. Sometimes we are concentrated on everlasting thoughts in our minds when we are alone and making assumptions about matter, the film is based on such phenomenon and is a great piece of art. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a movie primarily about two lovers namely Joel Barish and Clementine Kruczynski. Joel, wakes up on Valentine s Day, skips work, takes a train to Montauk, and meets Clementine.
