I. Introduction
1.1. What is TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) /IP (Internet Protocol)? How TCP/IP
Work?
Answer: TCP/IP for IP version 4 (IPv4) is a networking protocol suite that we uses to
communicate over the internet with other computers. And it work as defines the details of
how data is sent and received through network for example: hubs, switches, routers and
other network communications devices.
1.2 What is router OS/RouterBoard? History (briefly)?
Answer:
- MikroTik RouterOS: is the operating system of MikroTik RouterBOARD hardware.
It can also be installed on a PC and will turn it into a router with all the necessary features
- routing, firewall, bandwidth management, wireless access point, backhaul link, hotspot
gateway, VPN server and more.
- RouterOS: is a stand-alone operatingsystembasedonthe Linux v2.6 kernel,andourgoal here
at MikroTikis to provide all these featureswithaquickandsimple installationandaneasyto
use interface.

1. Scenario:
- MaxBIT’s Customer requests our Technical support setup new connection for
his new office that requirement below:
Internet access
 Basic configure the first access to router via winbox

Configure DHCP Server and Client with the full access/unlimited for management IP:
192.168.1.10-192.168.1.50
 Client request DHCP IP address
 Configure and choose the interface which client could request

 Assign LAN interface and add new address 192.168.1.1 netmask

 255.255.255.0 eth2

 Configure DHCP Pool

 Configure DHCP Server

 Configure NAT

 Test the Internet Access

 Limit Internet Bandwidth per user (Normal User: 512kbps/each), I just calculate the
queue on the internet site.

 After define the queue calculate, we need to past it into the router terminal to all the script
command.

 Setup Wi-Fi On MikroTik with SSID= ABC, and Password: abc@2015
 Add wireless LAN and LAN bridge interface

 Forward port for his new cameras:
+ DVR 1= IP: 192.168.1.5/24 port software: 1122 and http: 8080
+ DVR 2 = IP: 192.168.1.6 /24 port software: 3344 and http: 9090

 Test the wireless connection
