This document proposes a modified AODV (M-AODV) routing protocol for transmitting multimedia traffic like video in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). The M-AODV protocol considers sending time, route stability, and bandwidth size to discover highly stable routes for transmitting video frames from source to destination nodes. It encodes the video at the source node and sends route requests with the required bandwidth. The performance is evaluated using NS3 simulation tools based on metrics like throughput, packet loss, and delay. The document also discusses research challenges for video streaming in MANETs like bandwidth usage and availability only when online, and identifies throughput, delay, and packet loss as key issues to address for video transmission in these networks.
Survey on scheduling and radio resources allocation in lteijngnjournal
This paper focuses on an essential task of the enhanced NodeB eNodeB element in LTE architecture, the
Radio Resource Manager RRM, which aims to accept or reject requests for connection to the network
based on some constraints and ensuring optimal distribution of radio resources between Users Equipments
UEs. Its main functionalities include Admission Control AC and Packet Scheduling PS.
This paper will center mainly on the PS part of the RRM task, which performs the radio resource
allocation in both uplink and downlink directions. Several approaches and algorithms have been proposed
in the literature to address this need (allocate resources efficiently), the diversity and multitude of
algorithms is related to the factors considered for the optimal management of radio resource, specifically,
the traffic type and the QoS (Quality of Service) requested by the UE.
In this article, an art’s state of the radio resource allocation strategies and a detailed study of several
scheduling algorithms proposed for LTE (uplink and downlink) are made. Therefore, we offer our
evaluation and criticism.

JCWAEED: JOINT CHANNEL ASSIGNMENT AND WEIGHTED AVERAGE EXPECTED END-TO-END DE...csandit
In recent years, multi-channel multi-radio Wireless Mesh network has become one of the most important technologies in the evolution of next-generation networks. Its multi-hop, selforganization,self-healing and simple deployment is an effective way to solve the bottleneck problem of last mile. In this paper, we propose a new routing metric called WAEED, deployed in JCWAEED protocol, a joint channel assignment and weighted average expected end-to-end delay routing protocol which considers both interference suppression with factor IF and end-toend delay. Additionally, we give the exact calculation formula of transmission delay and queuing delay. Simulations results demonstrate that JCWAEED outperforms other joint design routing protocols in terms of throughput, end-to-end delay and packet loss rate.
The congestion control within the TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) plays a critical role in
amending data rate to evade congestion from happening possibilities. Based on TCP communication sender
not only guarantees the successful packet delivery, but also maintains the correct sequence of packets by
receiving the frequent acknowledgement from the receiver. In this research we proposed a congestion
control scheme with modified TCP and queue length variation with OLSR routing protocol in MANET. The
TCP protocol performance is modified by forwarding busy channel signals to predecessor nodes through
intermediate nodes in network. The congestion is controlled by that novel method of detecting the node is
busy or ready for communication. If the communication is start in network and the possibility if congestion
is arise, then in that case the queue length is handle the possibility of congestion. The congestion is
minimized due to awaring about the channel busy status and nodes buffer status or queue status. The TCP
protocol is able to handle the congestion situation but i.e. completely based on acknowledgement of receiver
and also not very effective to control it. The proposed TCP congestion control OLSR routing is improves
the network performance by reducing packet loss. The performance of network is measure through
performance metrics like throughput, PDF and Routing overhead in different node density scenarios. The
performance of proposed scheme is provides the better results.

Different from the IEEE 1609.4 (legacy), HER-MAC protocol is a new multi-channel MAC proposed for VANETs, offering remarkable performance with regards to safety applications transmission. This paper focuses on the analysis of packet delivery ratio of the HER-MAC protocol under non-saturated conditions. 1-D and 2-D Markov chains have been developed for safety and non-safety applications respectively, to evaluate mathematically the performance of HER-MAC protocol. The presented work has taken into account the freezing of the backoff timer for both applications and the backoff stages along with short retry limit for non-safety applications in order to meet the IEEE 802.11p specifications. It highlights that taking these elements into consideration are important in modeling the system, to provide an accurate estimation of the channel access, and guarantees that no packet is served indefinitely. More precise results of the system packet delivery ratio have been yield. The probability of successful transmission and collisions were derived and used to compute the packet delivery ratio. The simulation results validate the analytical results of our models and indicate that the performance of our models outperformed the existing models in terms of the packet delivery ratio under different number of vehicles and contention window.

Exceptionally dynamic networks are Mobile Ad hoc Networks. Quality of Service (QoS) routing in such
Networks are frequently limited by the network split due to either energy depletion or node mobility of the
mobile nodes. In addition, to fulfill specific quality parameters, existence of multiple node-disjoint paths
becomes essential. Such paths assist in the optimal traffic distribution and consistency in case of path
breakages. Thus, to accommodate such problem, we present a node-disjoint multipath protocol. The metric
system of measurement used to select the paths takes into account the stability of the nodes and the

ECA MODEL BASED QOS AODV ROUTING FOR MANETSIJCNCJournal
Applications like banking, interactive multimedia, movie on demand, VOIP, etc., are delay sensitive by
nature. The QoS given to users will be affected by network delay, which can be mitigated by employing
QoS routing and efficient data transfer. To build routing table, normal AODV routing uses flooding
technique, which will not consider QoS requirements. Hence QoS based routing which is stable for the
entire application is essential, which understands the dynamic nature of the MANET and establishes the
required route, in minimum possible time. We have proposed an intelligent routing protocol based ECA

The simulation results shows that the ECA model gives better results, while considering the local

Routing protocols for mobile ad-hoc networks have to
face the challenge of frequently changing topology, low
transmission power and asymmetric links. Both
proactive and reactive routing protocols prove to be
inefficient under these circumstances. The Zone Routing

destinations outside the zone, ZRP employs a route

Abstract
Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is an autonomous wireless network, deploy without any fixed infrastructure and assistance of base stations. Each node in network shares wireless link for interconnections and not only operates as an end system, but also as a router to forward packets. Since the network nodes are mobile, can be move in any direction with varying paces that generate high dynamicity of network so the protocols that are developed for general ad hoc networks are unsuitable for such an environment. In addition, on-hand routing protocols performance decreases as size of network increased. In this context, to enhance the recitation of routing in MANETs, we propose a new approach in this paper, named Advanced Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (A_AODV). It is a modified version of traditional AODV routing protocol, shrink the active path whenever optimal pathway is available and switches the traffic on it. Simulation studies are conducted using NS2 to prove that proposed approach enhance network performance when network size, load or the mobility increases
Mobile environment pretense a number of novel
theoretical and optimization issues such as position, operation
and following in that a lot of requests rely on them for
desirable information. The precedent works are sprinkled
across the entire network layer: from the medium of physical
to link layer to routing and then application layer. In this
invention, we present outline solutions in Medium Access
Control (MAC), data distribution, coverage resolve issues
under mobile ad-hoc network environment based on
congestion control technique using Transmission Control
Protocol (TCP). In mobile ad-hoc network issues can arise
such as link disconnections, channel contention and recurrent
path loss. To resolve this issue, we propose a Cross Layer
based Hybrid fuzzy ad-hoc rate based Congestion Control
(CLHCC) approach to maximize network performance. Based
on the destination report it regulates the speed of data flow to
control data loss by monitoring the present network status
and transmits this report to the source as advice. The source
adjusts the sending flow rate as per the advice. This is
monitored by channel usage, ultimate delay, short term
throughput.
DYNAMIC CURATIVE MECHANISM FOR GEOGRAPHIC ROUTING IN WIRELESS MULTIMEDIA SENS...csandit
Maintaining network stability and extending network lifetime to cope with breaking links and topology changes remain nowadays a unsolved issues in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs), which aim to ensure flow delivery while guaranteeing QoS requirements, particularly, during data transmission phase. Therefore, in this paper, we jointly consider multipath transmission, load balancing and fault tolerance, to enhance the reliability of transmitted data. We propose a Dynamic Curative Mechanism for Geographic Routing in WMSNs. Theoricals results and those obtained from simulation study demonstrate the validity and efficiency of our proposed mechanism, and indicate that it is highly advised for multimedia transmission and network stability
Cross layer design for power control and linkIJCNCJournal
Frequent changes in network topology due to mobility and limited battery power of the mobile devices are the key challenges in the adhoc networks. The depletion of power source may cause early unavailability of nodes and thus links in the network. The mobility of nodes causes frequent routes breaks and adversely affects the required performance of the applications. We propose a cross layer design for the dynamic power control protocol and link prediction (DPCPLP) that provides a combined solution for power conservation as well as link availability. This combines the effect of optimum transmit power and received signal strength based link availability estimation with AODV routing protocol using cross layer approach.
This method proposes to use optimum transmit power for transmitting the packets to a neighboring node to
increase the battery life of adhoc nodes and received signal strength based link prediction to increase the
availability of the links. In this paper, the transmit power and received signal strength of the packets are
cross-layer interaction parameters to provide the combined solution for power conservation and reliable
route formation with increased availability of links and thus the routes amongst sources and destinations. Further, this increases network and nodes’ lifetime and capacity. It improves throughput and packet delivery ratio by spatial reuse, prior prediction of link breaks and initiating the route repair. It also reduces
end-to-end delay and power consumption by use of optimum transmit power. Through simulations, we have
shown that our proposed protocol shows better performance.
Energy Saving DSR and Probabilistic Rebroadcast Mechanism are used to Increas...IJTET Journal
Abstract- MANETs are infrastructure less and can be set up anytime anywhere. Due to high mobility of nodes in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), there exist frequent link breakages which lead to frequent path failures and route discoveries. The overhead of a route discovery cannot be neglected. In a route discovery, broadcasting is a fundamental and effective data broadcasting mechanism, where a mobile node blindly rebroadcasts the first received route request packets unless it has a route to the destination, and thus it causes the broadcast storm problem and without consider the nodes energy level of route selection it leads to reduce the network lifetime. In this paper proposed to focus is on a two mechanism ESDSR and Neighbor coverage based Probabilistic rebroadcast to overcome those problems. A Energy Saving Dynamic Source Routing in MANETs (ESDSR) which will efficiently utilize the battery power consideration in the route selection time of mobile nodes in such a way that the network will get more life time and Neighbor coverage based Probabilistic rebroadcast mechanism, which can significantly decrease the number of retransmissions so as to reduce the routing overhead, and can also improve the routing performance. The simulation was carried out using the NS-2 network simulator.

limited resource, it is highly desirable that transmission should be as efficient as possible. MANET can be
implemented in any environment because of its dynamic nature. For routing of information packets queuing is
done at the buffer and transferred through intermediate nodes to the destination on priority basis which help to
improve the overall network performance. This paper provides a review of various buffer management schemes
for packet queues in wired & wireless networks (specialy MANET).
Quality of service Routing Using Stable Nodes in Mobile Ad hoc Networksijceronline
An efficient and secured routing protocol design is the vital concern for mobile ad hoc networks in view of major problems raising on security issues and loss of the network resources is due to changes within the connections of the network like Node failures, link breakages in the network. Our proposed scheme enhances the secured and reliable transmission of data, which also improves the network constancy, efficient packet delivery ratio and network life time by integrating through the AODV Routing protocol. It unites the authentication, stable routes and signal strength of the nodes to attain the secure and reliable transmission of data through nodes.

Prediction Algorithm for Mobile Ad Hoc Network Connection BreaksIJCNCJournal
A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a decentralized network of mobile node that are connected to an arbitrary topology via wireless connections. The breakdown of the connecting links between adjacent nodes will probably lead to the loss of the transferred data packets. In this research, we proposed an algorithm for link prediction (LP) to enhance the link break provision of the ad hoc on-demand remote protocol (AODV). The proposed algorithm is called the AODV Link Break Prediction (AODVLBP). The AODVLBP prevents link breaks by the use of a predictive measure of the changing signal. The AODVLBP was evaluated using the network simulator version 2.35 (NS2) and compared with the AODV Link prediction (AODVLP) and the AODV routing protocols. The simulation results reveal the effectiveness of AODVLBP in improving network performance in terms of average end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio, packet overhead ratio, and packet drop-neighbour break.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
